Do you think you've about exhausted things to talk about with respect to the 3 Kingdoms era?
Not at all.
This got very out of hand but I'm going to leave it as is.
Oh, sure, some subjects have been beaten to death. There's only so much you can say about the particular events that have been told and retold in folktales, opera, novels, and (in the modern age) movies, TV shows, and video games for the last 1800 years. There isn't a lot left to say about the most famous battles and individuals that hasn't been said already.
There's also a lot that is still relatively overlooked, outside of very specific circles. People who didn't get prominent roles in fictionalizations of the period are still pretty obscure. Events that aren't depicted in stories and adaptations don't get much discussion. That's the sort of thing I try to write about, like with my articles on the Crown Prince Affair (Part I | Part II) or my series on Yuan Shao and Gongsun Zan.
But the things I write about are just one very limited facet of the period's history. There's so much more to be said. The stuff I write about is probably the least meaningful. Ultimately it doesn't make much difference who won what battle or what faction took over a government. Individuals varied but all the governments of the time were fundamentally the same. No matter who took power in what region, it was going to be a Han style government, dominated by Han culture. Nothing meaningful was going to change, no matter which of our well-known warlords won. Their battles were largely irrelevant. There's a reason nothing meaningful changed in Shu when it was conquered by Wei, or Wu when conquered by Jin. There's a reason the Sima regime was only superficially different from that of the Cao, and why it really doesn't matter if, say, the Quan family had seized the throne of Wu. Despite individual differences they were all fundamentally the same.
To see what I mean, we don't have to look very far into the future. The collapse of western Jin meant the rise of non-Han polities in significant areas of the former Han/Jin empire. The governments of the Xiongnu, the Xianbei, and and other groups from outside of the Han culture were meaningfully different. Prolonged chaos in the northern portions of the empire resulted in mass movement to the south, into areas previously claimed by the Han people only in name but not in fact. The efforts of Wu and Shu (largely due to He Qi and Ma Zhong) to establish firm control over these regions laid the groundwork for the "sinicization" of southern China, but it was really only with the collapse of Western Jin that the new status quo was established. At the same time, we can also observe the so-called "barbarians" adopting many elements of Han culture to help them rule their new empires.
You could spend your whole career studying something like that.
You could analyze the literature of the period and compare different style and composition across different years and regions. You could dig deep into the economics and study things like government monopolies on key industries, and contrast the different approaches taken by the various rulers of the era. You could study all the material left by civilians who had no part in the "great affairs" of the time. You could study how infrastructure projects meant to support warfare (like the many canals Wei dug) impacted trade and travel for others. You could study the visual arts; paintings, sculptures, miniatures, etc. And all of that gets much more complicated and interesting when you reach beyond the Han culture, into the areas and eras where non-Han influences achieved supremacy and influenced the existing culture.
The era produced some of China's most influential figures whose contributions are far more meaningful than the battles fought by its various generals. Zhong Yao's calligraphy was so influential that we still imitate his writing today. Pei Xiu was one of the most important cartographers in China's extensive history. Hua Tuo's scientific approach to medicine was revolutionary in its time. Du Kui and Xun Xu made extraordinary contributions to music. There are so many others to speak of.
Sociology. Visual arts. Performing arts. Economics. Mathematics. Literature. Technology. The list goes on and on and on. There is absolutely no shortage of new things to study and talk about. A very accessible example is the deep dive @discourseofthethreekingdoms did on the theology of the Yellow Turbans. I don't think I've ever heard that much said about them anywhere. It was a significant and meaningful look at the actual beliefs and ideology of a group usually just dismissed as rebellious malcontents deceived by charismatic opportunists.
Now, none of that is what I generally write about. A big part of that is because that's serious academic work. It's hard, it's complicated, and it requires both resources and training I don't have to get it right. I'm not any kind of real academic. There are people doing this work, and because it doesn't have mass appeal they don't get the kind of credit they deserve, but that's the kind of work that actually matters. People like to read about wars and battles and politics and don't give the same attention to these much more serious and meaningful subjects. It's a damn shame, really, and I can only hope that the ones doing the important work at least receive the respect of their peers.
And if I'm being fully honest, even if I did have the training and resources it takes to do the important work, that's not where my passion is.
I'm a storyteller.
I'm fascinated by these people and their lives. When I get invested in a particular historical era, it's because I find it to be filled with a wide variety of very interesting individuals whose stories I love, and whose stories I want to try to share with others. I like to tell the stories I think don't get told enough; or that get so obscured by fictionalization that the real people involved become unrecognizable. That does end up with me writing about a lot of battles and politicking, because that's where we get a lot of these stories from. When I believe a story is left untold (like with the Crown Prince Affair) I want to tell it. When I believe that a story is being misrepresented, I want to try and correct it. The reason I get so passionate about "history vs. fiction" is because these people were real. Their accomplishments and failures were real. Their triumphs and tragedies were real. Every single name you see was a full human being exactly as complex as you are; and so is every single anonymous soldier and civilian killed in their pointless wars.
Some of these stories have been told and retold so many times that there's nothing interesting left to say. But there are so many others that remain in relative obscurity, and ones where the truth has become obscured over time. That's mostly what I spend my time writing about now.

How would you recommend someone in their late 20s go about learning the guitar? Do you think it's too late to build the right muscle memory?
Age is not a factor in building muscle memory. Pattern recognition and memorization is all you need to pick up on guitar.
I would recommend you get it into it the same way I would recommend to anyone of any age: find out what you want to play – a style, a genre, a band – and imitate that. I know that sounds pretty vague, so I'll try my best to explain what I mean.
I started playing guitar when I was 12 because I really wanted to play along with Green Day songs. At first, I didn't worry about sounding good or getting it totally right, I worried about matching the notes to the song. For a year, I played everything on one string, just matching the note I was playing to the root note of whatever song I was playing along with. Eventually, I got the hang of the fundamental concepts by doing that. Green Day was a really good beginner band to pick because much of their catalog is comprised of songs that only ever utilize rudimentary techniques. Because of that, they were the perfect jumping off point for me.
I ran into a problem that I imagine anyone else would in this scenario, though: eventually, I wanted to play something else, and what I wanted to play was much harder than anything I'd learned previously.
Thankfully, the cool part about learning guitar is that it's an incredibly popular instrument, and guitar players really fucking love showing off. As such, if you look up <any song> "guitar cover" on youtube, you're bound to find someone else who has played the song and filmed it. If you can find a video, watch them play it, try to imitate what they're doing.
If that doesn't work out for you, there are tabs. Tabs might look hard to read, but they're pretty easy. There are tutorials on how to read them in more detail out there.
If none of that works for you, I suggest two things: learn the basic cowboy chords and/or learn scales in a three notes per string format. Learning chords will get your hand used to certain shapes that will be common across the fretboard, and doing three notes per string format will help nimble up your fingers. Eventually, it'll become easy to do those, and while it might be fun to do those forever, it's important not to stop there. Once you get the hang of chords and the three notes per string scales, learn different scale shapes, learn more advanced chords. Keep challenging yourself to keep it interesting.
You're going to sound bad in the beginning. You're going to press frets you don't mean to, you're going to be slow to switch chords, you're going to get frustrated because you can't figure out how anyone is doing shit so fast. When you get frustrated, remember that guitar playing should be a fun activity. You should become good enough at your instrument to facilitate whatever ideas come to your head, but know that it will take you much time and effort to get to that point, and it's okay if that's the case.
And just because I feel it needs to be reiterated: age is not a reason you can't play guitar. I may have been playing guitar for nearly two decades which made it a little easier, but less than two years ago I was 28 and I learned the scales and a lot of the more advanced chord formations. It still took a lot of work for me, but I managed to do it by practicing and keeping at it consistently. If I can do it with my pudding brain, I'm sure anyone else can. Hope this helps, and if you have more specific questions, feel free to shoot me another ask.

How does family environment shape children?
I want to start by saying that the mind of a child is very complex and unpredictable. I know that sounds cliché but it is still very true. That unpredictability makes it very hard to draw conclusions about the child’s mentality and sensibilities from his everyday actions. Today, I will be sharing my thoughts on the general subject of how the family environment shapes how child thinks, perceives and acts. Does it make a difference whether a child has lenient parents or strict ones? In this post, I am going to give two contrasted scenarios to explain the possible impact of parenting styles on children.
Let’s say there are two kids, John and Paul. John has strict parents and Paul has fairly lenient parents. John wakes up every day knowing that there’s a possibility he is going to get yelled at for every foible. So, he wakes up angry every day. That anger destroys any chance of him being cool-headed and going about his morning peacefully and sets him up with paranoia for the day which worsens the situation. So, he wakes up arguing with his brothers. Having lost every iota of incentive to do his part in keeping the house up and running, he gives excuses for not doing last night’s chores – unwittingly developing excuse-making as a [negative] core competence. John’s parents slate him even more for raising his voice at them. John finally gets fed up and storms off to school. This is how most of John’s mornings go. In the evening, when John is back from school and has finished his homework, he feels the urge to play games – a normal urge for a kid to have. John also knows that if he gets caught playing games, he faces a two-hour lecture from his parents and possibly a harsh scolding. John then decides to hide and play games for hours, while pretending to be studying, without the knowledge of his parents. John’s inordinate time spent on games would eventually lead to addiction to games and, consequently, slacking on school work. We all know how that started and how it pans out in his future.
Now let’s talk about Paul. Paul wakes up every day with a smile on his face having never experienced a chaotic morning in his life. Unlike John, Paul never gets slated for his gaffes, at least not retributively. Rather, he gets upbuilding instructions inculcating measured discipline in him. Hence, his receptivity to discipline is incentivized and he is motivated to do more around the house. Paul goes to school every day knowing that the atmosphere at home is not chaotic as at school so he looks forward to coming home, to his haven. (This is quite a contrast to John who feels more at home at school). In the evenings, Paul knows that if he gets done with his homework and gets some extra study in, he’ll get an hour of video games as he does every other day. Paul knows that he should not exceed that designated hour because he would be deducting from tomorrow’s hour – his parents bank his saved hours such that he can draw from them and add to them as he completes his daily routines. Therefore, Paul doesn’t spend much time on games and spends more time with his family which helps him imbibe family memes.[1] He also engages in other extra-curricular activities that help cultivate his social skills and contribute to his college credentials. Paul ends up being a better person than John.
The take: children aren’t automatons, their minds are not trained prior to birth to resist the brain’s urge for pleasure. Their brain will always prioritize pleasure; so, if like Paul’s parents, you appease the brain’s need for pleasure – by letting him play games or hangout with friends - but only for a fixed allocated time per day or per week, then you would see better overall results from them. It’s like feeding stray animals. They know that at a specific timeframe in the evening, you have food for them but not before or after.
Having said that, there is a lot of relativity on this topic. Many people consider themselves Johns but to others they are Paul. Although the lines that separate the Johns’ and Pauls’ of this world are varied, there are two major things every parent can do, commendation and adequate reward. This can be explained by the Expectancy Theory which according to Victor Vroom of Yale School of Management states that: “This theory emphasizes the needs for organizations to relate rewards directly to performance and to ensure that the rewards provided are those rewards deserved and wanted by the recipients” (Vroom). This accords with the concept of EPR (Effort >> Performance >> Reward) theory of Professor Louie Fry of Texas A & M University. My father took me to a conference on Governance in Lagos where he was speaking with Professor Fry on the impact of spirituality on human behavior at work. After the conference, he and  Professor Elefteria Egel visited our home and I asked him to explain the EPR concept in more detail to my brothers and I. Employing these theories is almost guaranteed to be effective in the upbringing of your child.
However, there is an exception. Some children are better than others at taking a lot of flak from their parents. For these ones, it has an opposite effect. The children that respond positively seem to have the innate ability to sift through the flak and pick out the wisdom that their parents are trying to pass on to them. These are the type of children that Apostle Paul spoke of at Hebrews 12:9, in which he said, “furthermore, our human fathers used to discipline us, and we gave them respect.”
Given how human nature works according to scientists, what would happen if John and Paul in these contrastive situations go to work with behaviors influenced by their different circumstances. What should we expect of them with regards to compliance with rules and regulations, at work and in the community? In my next article, we would take a look at deviance and an unpopular factor that plays a role in it.
[1] an element of a culture or system of behavior that may be considered to be passed from one individual to another by nongenetic means, especially imitation.

𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬- 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝟏
-- Your POV--
You didn't know when you started getting those dreams. They kind of just appeared- and one day, you sort of put them together. The dreams you got every day told a story- a very long story. It was the story of a girl in a fantasy world. Well, it wasn't a fantasy world to her, but it did seem like a fantasy story to you. The world worked so differently than the one you lived in- it amazed you. The incredibly tall buildings and fast-paced lifestyle stood out to you the most- you thought that it was amazing how someone could live like that. You loved the mix of traditional culture and modern style, and you thought that it would be cool to live in a city like that. Sadly, that was all a part of your dreams, and you couldn't go there.
"Lady (y/n), it is time for you to visit the temple," one of your maids, Elisa, reminded you. You were the daughter of Duke and Duchess (l/n), and you were highly revered because of your status. You went to the temple every month, receiving the words of the Goddess from the High Priest about anything important. Well, anything the High Priest said would be automatically important. You didn't like going to the temple. It took so much of your day just to get some words. Honestly, you didn't even believe in the Goddess. You thought that some person long ago came up with the whole story for some power. Well, it worked.
"Yes, thank you for reminding me, Elisa. Do you have my dress prepared?" you sat up from your bed, which could probably fit 3-4 people comfortably and was also adorned with intricate designs- too fancy in your opinion. "Yes, I have it prepared. Lila and Celia should be bringing it right about now," Elisa looked behind her to call for Lila and Celia. Just a few moments later, the two maids entered your massive room, and they started dressing you up.
You were used to this, since you had to go through this since you were young, but it still irritated you. You felt like you could be doing something else, something more productive. It was almost like when you had to do something, almost everything else looked more attractive. In your case, it was sitting down and being dressed and fixed up by your maids. You suddenly wanted to do the studying you had put off, and even replying to letters from possible suitors seemed more pleasing- even though you usually hated that.
After what felt like forever, the three maids were finally done with your dress, hair, shoes, and makeup. It took a few hours to do, and the whole time, you wished you could be doing something else, but you obviously couldn't. You were finally able to walk, and so you got up and stretched a bit while waiting for the carriage that was supposed to take you to the temple. It arrived soon after, and you got onto it, sitting across from your three maids. They were ordered to follow you everywhere, to ensure your safety and comfort. Though, it sort of did the opposite with your comfort- it was weird to have people following you around all day. You had started to feel that way when the dreams of the girl in the strange world began, and it never went away.
The ride was another bore. There was absolutely nothing to do other than staring through the window, which you did every time. It was pretty much the same view every time, just in different months, but you had gone there on the same route so many times it wasn't even interesting. Once you arrived at the temple, you walked in like you usually did and greeted the nuns, who led you to the High Priest.
They led you to the same room they led you each time. You were familiar with the temple like your own home, having gone there 12 times a year for your entire life. The room they led you to was a waiting room, the white walls decorated with gold patterns and carefully drawn paintings, the floor holding wooden chairs with white cushions, which were embroidered with patterns considered tribute to the Goddess. You sat on one of them, taking a sip of the tea that was just poured into the cup in front of you. You sipped on it as you waited for the High Priest, also eating some of the cookies place on the table in front of you.
You waited for about half an hour, and the High Priest came in, greeting you with a handshake like usual and leading you to the prayer room, which was as grand as could be. The dome-shaped ceiling made it seem like it was 3 floors from the top of the dome to the floor, and it was painted with drawings of supposedly the Goddess and her great deeds. Stained glass which made beautiful patterns adorned the walls of the praying room, along with gold patterns and carvings.
The two of you walked to the middle of the room, and you started the ritual. You knelt down with one knee propped up and your head facing downwards, and in front of you, the High Priest stood, his hands folded together and his head facing up, his eyes closed. That supposedly helped him hear the voice of the Goddess better. You didn't believe in that though; it all sounded like lies to you and you didn't even believe in the Goddess anyways.
You sat there for what felt like an eternity, thinking about what you were going to do when you got back home. Well, you knew it would already be late at night when you arrived back, so it was really what you were going to do tomorrow. You had started to study the way in the girl in your dreams did, which you found much more effective than the methods you were taught. It was a bit harder and more focused, but it saved you a lot of time. Of course, you couldn't imitate all of the ways, as some used gadgets specific to her world, but you adapted them into what you could do and that worked fine. You also planned to write those letters. At this point, you didn't care if you sent the same message to each of the suitors- you were going to reject them all anyways and you barely knew them, so why would you put in all the effort to write them each personalized messages? You started to form the message in your head, mapping out an outline of it and some of the main points, more like excuses, you were going to say. You didn't plan on getting married yet, and you decided you wanted someone who truly loved you, not some guy wanting your position and status. Plus, you were one of the Queen's Candidates, which was given to each of the daughters of the Dukes and some outstanding people they found elsewhere from other houses.
You were just about done with the outline with the letter when the High Priest called your name, "(y/n)." You looked up at him, eager to get this over with. You honestly didn't care what he had to say at this point; it was usually some stuff on what events will happen to you this month and what to look out for. "You are soulmates with the Prince," he said, with a serious face. You held back your laughter. "What?" you thought. "That's ridiculous." Intrigued, you decided to listen to the rest of what he had to say.
"You are bound by the string of fate. Even when the Goddess tried to separate you, the string held you together, even between worlds. You'll meet him at the party." You blinked. That was all? You weren't going to get any other clues on who this soulmate person is or where you'll meet or anything? You caught yourself staring into space for a moment, and you quickly brought yourself back to reality. You thanked him for the words the same as always and walked out the door of the room a bit faster than usual, eager to try to figure out who your soulmate was.

Culinary arts.
What is culinary arts? Culinary means “related to cooking” while art is described as "human effort to imitate, supplement, alter, or counteract the work of nature." Put these two words together and you start to see that the culinary arts really involves creating something unique and beautiful and something that is completely edible! It is called culinary arts for a reason, not just anyone can create delicious and inventive masterpieces. The culinary arts have been continuously growing in popularity and as a result, more and more international students are beginning to realize the value of pursuing this career path.
People working on this field like in restaurants is commonly called “chefs” or “cook”. Expert Culinarians are required to have knowledge of food science, nutrition and diet and are responsible for preparing meals that are as pleasing to the eye as well as to the palate. After restaurants, their primary places of work include delicatessens and relatively large institutions such as hotels and hospitals.
When you think about what is culinary arts, you should think of the things you love to eat. If you are a culinarian (or chef) then you can decide what your ingredients will be! There are specific cooking methods and techniques to learn, but it’s up to a chef to decide which methods to use and the overall appearance and taste of the dish. They can create fusions between different types of cuisines, or something that is completely unique. When someone is earning a culinary arts degree they will have the chance to learn about all these different possibilities.
In the Western world, culinary arts is a craft and later as a field of study, began to evolve at the end of the Renaissance period. Prior to this, chefs worked in castles, cooking for kings and queens, as well as their families, guests, and other workers of the castle. As Monarchical rule became phased out as a modality, the chefs took their craft to inns and hotels. From here, the craft evolved into a field of study.
There is a great deal of the study of Culinary Arts in Europe was organized by Jean Anthelme Brillat-Savarin, a man famous for his quote "Tell me what you eat, and I will tell you what you are," which has since been mistranslated and oversimplified into "You are what you eat." Other people helped to parse out the different parts of food science and gastronomy. Over time, increasingly deeper and more detailed studies into foods and the Culinary Arts has led to a greater wealth of knowledge.
In Asia, a similar path led to a separate study of the Culinary Arts, which later essentially merged with the Western counterpart. In the modern international marketplace, there is no longer a distinct divide between Western and Eastern foods. Culinary Arts students today, generally speaking, are introduced to the different cuisines of many different cultures from around the world.
International students who choose to study the culinary arts will have a chance to learn about contemporary and classic culinary techniques and cooking methods. Usually the learning style associated with a culinary arts degree involves a combination of theoretical classroom instruction and hands-on laboratory work. So not only will you learn about and discuss the preparation of dishes, but you'll learn how to make them yourself. For those students who want to pursue managerial positions within the field, learning how to be a leader and use effective communication skills can be very helpful, because most people in the culinary arts work in a team-oriented kitchen environment.
If you really want to earn a culinary arts degree in the USA, perhaps it’s best to know the origin and history first. One of the first American cooking schools was founded in Boston, in the late 1800's. In 1929 the American Culinary Federation (ACF) was founded and became the biggest group of the U.S.'s most prominent chefs. The mission of the ACF is to help professional chefs through development resources, and make a positive difference for culinarians through education, apprenticeship, and certification. After World War II culinary education was in high-demand. Soon televised cooking shows became very popular. Famous chefs such as James Beard, Julia Child, and Madeleine Kamman became household names and culinary icons. James Beard, known as the grandfather of American gastronomy, had a cooking show and founded a cooking school, teaching American cuisine preparation for more than 30 years. Later on people became interested in learning about international dishes, and at the time French cuisine was the very best. Julia Child hosted a show called, The French Chef, wherein she taught viewers how to cook French cuisine. Her show and cookbooks were considered groundbreaking and ended up generating a lot of public interest in the culinary arts as a career. Madeleine Kamman opened a French cooking school called, Modern Gourmet, in Massachusetts. Kamman was from France and blended French cooking standards with American ingredients, the result was an entirely new culinary world to be explored and exploited. People began realizing the possibilities and opportunities the culinary arts presented and began taking advantage of them. After the Culinary Institute of American was founded more and more career-oriented cooking schools were opened in the United States. Nowadays we have the FoodNetwork, and celebrity chefs like Wolfgang Puck and Emeril Legasse to look to for new culinary ideas and inspiration, but it’s safe to say that the humble beginnings of culinary arts education has definitely developed into a huge exciting industry full of many career opportunities
Today, there are thousands of Culinary Arts schools around the world. Additionally, most universities, as well as many smaller tertiary schools like community colleges, offer some type of Culinary Arts Degree, which is technically a Bachelor of Arts Degree.
I have some tips to be a good cook. First, seek out reliable recipes. Do an online research of what food do you like to cook. Second, cook several recipes. If you are new to cooking, try to cook as much as you can. Fourth, prepare tougher recipes. Fifth, cook all your meals. Sixth, expand your plate. Lastly, watch cooking shows. Cooking shows are a great way to watch how recipes are made and offer plenty helpful cooking tips.

The things I’ve learned from art school: part 1/?
I’m a second year illustration student, and I’m here to share with you pearls of wisdom from what I’ve experienced and learned in college (so far), from the actual drawing process to attitudes about art/drawing. Most of these things I’ve learned the hard way, and some are from things I’ve seen others struggle with.
The most work you should be doing in your drawing process is thumbnails/sketching stage.
“There’s no point in finishing a drawing if it’s flawed from the beginning”. That’s what my Composition & Transparent Media professor constantly told us. During our first piece of the semester, he had us stay on the sketching and redrawing stage for a little over a month in order to perfect them. He wanted to make sure the perspective was right, composition was pushed to its fullest, details were added to make every space interesting, the whole shebang. Obviously you’re probably not going to spend a whole month redrawing a piece over and over every time you draw, especially if it’s a time-sensitive project or just a personal piece you’re doing for funsies. However, the sketching stage is where most of the creativity happens. You have to decide on composition, scale, design elements, characters and how they’re positioned in the space, environment, and so much more. And I’d be willing to bet that you won’t get it right the first time.
Give yourself projects when you aren’t in school.
It helps with artist block. The summer between freshman and sophomore year of school I could probably count the number of drawings I did on one hand. To be fair, I was working two jobs 6 days a week so i didn’t exactly have a lot of time, but I found that once I got out of school I had zero drive or ideas. Without assignments from class to draw for, I had nothing to draw, and when I got back to school for sophomore year I had a lot of trouble getting inspired again. It made the beginning of the year really hard for me. Find something, ANYTHING, to draw while you’re out of school, even if you draw fanart for one thing all summer, at least you’re still drawing.
If a character in your drawing is reminiscent of another character/too generic, think about altering it- especially if it’s a work that focuses on said character.
This really only applies for artists who’s focus/career is character design, but it’s still relevant to others. As painful as it is to hear, it means you might not be pushing your concepts enough. I took a class on Concept Art, and the first assignment was character design. A few of mine were deemed too generic looking, and one was too reminiscent of an existing character. It really hurt to hear, especially since I pride myself on character design and they were for a story I’ve had in development for over 6 years. It really made me feel like shit and made me not want to develop the characters further. But I needed to hear it, and I had to continue developing them for the class, so I ended up overhauling and redesigning the characters until they didn’t seem like the same ones anymore in order to make them more interesting. I hated it, but it’s what I had to do.
That being said, things like this really make you think about distinguishing your characters and art from others out there. It’s essentially impossible to be 100% original, but that doesn’t mean you cant try your damnedest to make your ideas as close to original as they can get without getting overcomplicated.
When designing characters, mix up the body shape and facial features.
This one is kind of specific, but still important since character design is an important element of illustration. If you don’t vary things up you’re cruisin’ for a bruisin’ from your professors and peers. And frankly, its boring as hell when someone’s characters all look the same. This is something I see a lot, and I can never get attached to an individual character cause they all looked the same! I found that it happens a lot with male characters, they all have defined abs to some degree and perfectly toned arms and honestly, it gets boring when all of someone’s male characters have the same body type. As for face, there is literally no excuse. There are SO MANY KINDS OF FACES MAN. Round, rectangular, circular, heart-shaped, squared. People can have hooked noses, upturned noses, tiny cute noses. Even eyebrows- arched, flat, thick, waxed, faint, or bold. You’re allowed to have preferences for what kind of bodies you like to draw, but don’t be afraid to branch out!
Develop your own style.
As an artist, you need your own style. Imitating other artist’s styles isn’t going to get you far in school or the real world, and chances are, your peers will call you out if your style looks too much like another established artist’s. In order to make a living and gain clients you need a style that you make unique, taking inspirations and aspects from other styles and squishing them together to make one amazing art style baby. Your art style will probably be the deciding factor in whether or not your client hires you!
Tracing references is OK when appropriate.
As long as it isn’t for a published or commissioned piece, there is absolutely no harm in tracing references. In your down time take some pictures of yourself or find some online and go ahead and trace ‘em. Really pay attention to how the body actually is, how the perspective on legs work, how that hand is foreshortened. Do this enough and you’ll find yourself thinking about all that when you’re drawing normally!
There will always be students better than you, you just gotta accept it.
It’s just a fact of life, unfortunately. When you’re a freshman, you’re in classes with only freshman for your foundation year. You and your peers are all on the relatively same level. What had affected me starting my second year (and I didn’t realize it until much later) was that now that I was in classes with upperclassmen, who had a year or two’s worth of experience on me, I felt as id my art was not up to par. It’s easy to forget your classmates are not just from your grade anymore, especially in electives. All of the electives I took had mostly Juniors and a few Sophomores, and my work always didn’t quite have that polish and finesse to it yet that the upperclassmen’s did have. It’s just a fact of life that you’ll always be up against artists who are more skilled than you , but thats because they have more or different experiences. You have to keep in mind that you can’t compare yourself to them, since it isn’t fair to you that you’re comparing yourself to someone who may have 3+ years on you.
Learn realism to some extent- figures, animals, everything.
You don’t have to like it, but you can always tell when an artist never learned it because their figures are always off. There is a difference between stylizing and not knowing, and it’s almost always evident. You can see it in the way hands are drawn, noses are rendered, and how they shape and place breasts. Do pages of body studies focusing on hands, feet, leg muscles, back arches, faces, all kinds of stuff. You’ll thank yourself later.
Your professors and peers will know when you don’t put in your best effort.
They’ll know when you aren’t pushing yourself because you’ll make fundamental mistakes. Slightly imperfect coloring, wiggly linework that wasn’t done quite carefully enough, not bothering to fix those damn feet in the finish. They always know, somehow...even if you’re careful with your laziness.
Buying expensive materials is usually worth it.
It may cost more but your work will benefit from it, and they last so, so much longer. I had to buy 3 brushes when my techniques class was doing watercolor, and in total they costed over $100. I found as I used them that since they were hair brushes and not synthetic, they held so much more pigment and water, and I could get a much finer tip. I was incredibly lucky that my professor provided the paint, which could go up to $20 a tube for some colors with the brand he had. Paper is also something worth splurging on, because let me tell you I have had disastrous effects when using shitty (coughCANSONcough) watercolor paper. The 9x12 paper block I bought for class was $30, and it was the best paper i’ve ever worked on. Absolutely worth the money and I will be buying that brand for projects from now on. And the best thing about all these is that they’ll last forever!
You NEED to find ways to get excited about a project you hate, because you’re gonna have to do a lot of them.
If you don’t find ways to get excited about projects you’re not too thrilled to do, you’ll never succeed. I learned this in my freshman year very fast, because man oh man were there some projects I couldn’t have cared less about. If you can, gear the project towards one of your interests without compromising the purpose or assigned subject.
I hope this advice can help some folks! Art school is a lot of tough love, and a lot of stepping 300 yards out of your comfort zone (sometimes by force). But they key is to not be afraid of trying new things! You’ll find things you absolutely hate doing, and will never want to do ever again if you can help it, and you’ll find things that you’ll love to do. It’s all about keeping an open mind!
Keep drawing, keep learning, keep creating.

Ideal Restaurant Lynchburg And Types As Well As Characteristics Of Best Restaurants
Ideal Restaurant Lynchburg And Types As Well As Characteristics Of Best Restaurants
Best bistro Lynchburg imitation recipes is simply a phrase that describes recipes that mimic those of a specific dining establishment or bistros. The word, counterfeit, describes everything that might resemble or even copy that of a genuine or original post. To copy or even imitate an initial source is a testament to the credibility of that resource for the top quality it provides. If it was actually not of excellent quality, nobody will also create the initiative to mimic or even steal it. It has actually also been actually mentioned that the replica of everything is a form of sweet talk, however certainly not every counterfeit is actually specifically complementary VA
. Meals is kind of boring during that the essential forms coincide. There may be actually specific selections to some degree and also some times extremely promoted as an advantage to advertise it, nonetheless, chick is chick, beef is meat, broccoli is actually broccoli and also thus on? Just how these acquire prepped as well as produced to be offered however, is what really creates the variation.
Dishes for these foods have actually been actually handed down with the productions utilizing the general forms of prep work from the skillet, stoves as well as grills, to steaming containers as well as right now microwaves. Interested notion and objective to present new mixes of sauces, sauces and seasonings to these basic methods help to boost the flavors of these essential meals. This is actually, possesses and also will definitely remain to be actually goal of many people as well as definitely with restaurants to aid set their style and also food aside from others. https://www.theneighborsplace.com/
This may be an absurd representation, however highlights the factors discussed above. I could not stand up the preference of cauliflower when I was actually increasing up. I saw no function for this meals. To me, it was a pointless vegetable that took up area on our earth. I am not joking! Later, when I really functioned in an evening meal nightclub, among the starters our team offered was actually deep-seated deep-fried cauliflower with an edge of cheese dressing. Ever due to the fact that at that point, cauliflower has actually come to be one of my favored meals as well as in all of the conventional methods, coming from biting to steamed and I still really love the deeper fried procedure. I might certainly never possess had the pleasure of appreciating this healthy and balanced and right now delicious food 24502 if it were not for that deep deep-fried dish.
I presume it is very important to recognize Lynchburg top bistro on their own, whether they be a convenience food, private, business, significant establishment type or maybe 5 superstar, all produce millions of folks on a daily basis throughout our nation. Their organisation is actually simply to provide and sell us as many products coming from their food as well as alcoholic beverage menus in an ambience where our experts can rest as well as delight in. It holds true though that most of these dining establishments have worked doggedly to build their personal signature concepts, procedures and also recipes to prepare on their own apart. They invest millions on promoting their individuality to keep taking clients back for even more. The dining establishment service is a substantial business and also extremely reasonable VA
. According to the National Restaurant Association, it is actually predicted the business to connect with $604 billion dollars in sales for 2011. That is $1.7 billion on a typical time. There are actually 960,000 sites nationally that staff member around 12.8 million individuals and also acquire this, of the dollars invested in food in the U.S., 49% is actually shown to the bistro sector. I do not learn about you, but that is some severe cabbage. It is actually likewise mosts likely to reveal why bistros are surely a reliable authority and why someone might go out of their method to copy a recipe or replicate or 2.
This same simple description is going to administer if you were to decide on any one of your favored dining establishments Lynchburg or also one that may simply be beginning up. This bistro is going to bring in a finding of a brand-new procedure or blend of sauces or spices for a new meals recipe. I should point out, they operate at making the invention, placing in effort and time originally, thus this new recipe might be tried and checked repeatedly until finally hitting the menu. The restaurant may advertise the brand new launch to allow everyone know it has a great brand-new dish to come in as well as experiment with. Essentially it comes to be a results and a featured item on their food selection. If everyone loves it, the bistro has another resource of new earnings. In the case of a brand new startup, it can also be actually a showcased recipe that assists them to get discovered to help acquire all of them off the ground as well as running general 24502.
Believe it or otherwise, restaurants themselves may be taken into consideration one of the biggest copy cat artists around yet in a way that doesn't attempt to create a particular duplicate, They will certainly go ahead in such a way that might utilize the same title of the meal, however pride themselves to make theirs stand out in different ways through including their personal signature contact and also right up to what else might be actually consisted of aside from the meal to help set it other than others.
Except serve your personal design of service, Lynchburg bistros basically copy each other on the total operating format of exactly how the consumers are provided as well as cared for right down to including "comparable" products being specified on the menus. They all always keep a watchful eye on one another to find what is functioning well and might modify a food selection, method of solution, expense or even whatever the case might be to suit current consumers and also coax new paying clients to devote amount of money in their buildings. It is actually a continual view saw fight.
Regardless of these bistros in Lynchburg copying as well as competing with one another for our bucks, they precisely are actually the bar to which our team contrast the flavor of our favorite foods items to They carry on press each other in cultivating recipes, procedures as well as signature food selections that keep our company returning for more. Most of us possess our favored menu things and also while a single person might like one dining establishment over another for a specific meal or even appetiser, the fact is actually, they all are an authentic short article as well as plainly worth the attempt to replicate 24502.
Simply a note, in relation to businesses (specifically non-restaurant) some must take steps and go even more as well as receive licenses or licenses on their findings to help protect them coming from being actually stolen. With restaurants, it is actually a little more durable as receiving licenses as well as licensing on meals is far more hard as well as almost the like accumulating a brand-new technical advance like an I-pad. Restaurants might need to have to possess some lawful aid and deals prepared with their employees to not surrender any sort of secrets to their trademark ways in attempt to maintain their secrets internal must a staff member decide to leave behind. There have actually been some court cases where a cook or even chef leaves behind as well as begins a new dining establishment utilizing the same trademark procedures but contacting it another thing as well as properly ... additional loan spent to get it straightened out.
With time, there have been actually several others that have actually tried to mimic a restaurant recipe from convenience store food distributors, straight up to really good ole Mom. Inquire all and also very most would certainly acknowledge that the activity may certainly not be so quick and easy to create. There are actually those that come up with recipes that are comparable in general yet are without that trademark taste of a specific dining establishment. Have you ever before tried to produce something just like your beloved dining establishment and while it ended up ok, it just didn't fairly sample the like what TGIF or even Olive Garden serves? I understand I have as well as it seemed like all the effort was great, however the outcome, on a scale of 1 to 10, was actually possibly a 6 at best. To acquire a 9 or 10 merely seems difficult and also you are much better off surrendering and also simply go to the restaurant rather.
Properly, reckon what? As there is with everything worth while, there are actually those couple of individuals that do try to replicate these restaurant recipes to the Nth degree. You can just about refer to them as dish cyberpunks. They can be moms, specialists or dads as well as regardless of who, these individuals possess a target and is going to put in the amount of time and attempt to break a dish down. They would like to identify the information of that signature taste and also duplicate it in a style that truly does mimic the authentic taste. Focus, devotion as well as the last will and testament to do well is a should for a lot of these individuals. There are actually also those that are actually just excellent cooks and by means of their expertise as well as user-friendly nature manage to hone in on the initial restaurant recipe. I possess some experience preparing food as well as can easily observe a dish, however, I absolutely am certainly not a dining establishment recipe cyberpunk United States.
If it is a difficult task to try to copy or imitate a prosperous genuine post then why do others make an effort to copy it?
It often times may be associated with amount of money and other people intending to get in on the action. There likewise those that are going to do it to find if they may spare some money. Some may also hope to polish on the authentic. It could be for additional reasons like prestige or private challenge for honor and maybe even some boots. Presume regarding this, comics can get even more laughs if they are good at mimicing some one else? If they are truly proficient at it, this assists bring additional individuals to their program.
Just like is done with plenty of other factors that are created, there is actually consistently a team of these intrigued people that like to do points on their own. These individuals are going to walk out of their method to steal preferred dishes coming from each one of these dining establishments. I would venture to state that if one were actually to talk to much of these DIY (Perform It Yourself) people, it would certainly be actually predominantly in an effort to be capable to spare money as a principal factor originally. Don't forget previously I discussed that 49% of the dollar invested in meals is actually cooperated the bistro sector? That is a bunch of money that a person can easily conserve!
Loan or even the investing of it, is really exactly how and why I began to remember of these bistro duplicate dishes. I have actually been assessing our loved ones investing practices and when considering grocery stores vs. dining, I was actually fairly shocked. Dining out has become a practice for our team as well as while it is actually one that our company carry out appreciate, it is actually likewise one that has actually been actually building up significantly. This is actually what began that flickering of the outdated illumination bulb for myself as well as my loved ones United States.
I consider on my own to be in that DIY group of folks on a lot of traits and while I have actually come to take pleasure in carrying out a lot of factors on my own (Not each of the moment mind you.), I realize the effect of knowing exactly how to do something yourself may as well as has conserved me a good volume of amount of money. Coming from auto repair work to house woodworking, it likewise has actually opened my eyes to cherish what others are performing as an organisation for their resources. If I do not carry out one thing myself, it has actually aided bring in a variation in wiser investing as effectively as saving amount of money even.
Recognizing that my family members has created this habit of eating out more than eating at residence, acquiring all of them to consume typical residence cooked foods regularly is not heading to be to effortless. The flickering light bulb second or suggestion discussed earlier was to find concerning receiving some recipes from the bistros that I can prepare at house with the tip of conserving some money. I also began to view how our company have shed contact along with the skill of food preparation. Our experts sure possess all end up being professionals of the microwave, but the remainder of the kitchen area begins to receive a little bit of questionable United States.
The experience started in hunt of restaurant dishes. The majority of restaurants perform not break down their recipes and why will they? They may lose a yield consumer if they carried out. I do see some bistros that are actually offering a few of their food selection items in the food store much more than before, yet form of restricting it to just a few products. I have actually also checked out an individual that will ask the cooks for their dishes and how some could blow the grains from time to time, but once again, reasonably restricted end results.
I always remember one-time my better half and also I went to a Denny's bistro behind time one night and the amount of our team appreciated their marinara sauce made use of along with the mozzarella catches we had purchased. Our company inquired the waitress regarding it and also she carried out talk to the cooks on that particular, yet they definitely didn't recognize much regarding it and also our team thank her for trying. Our experts additionally got an unforeseen surprise when our company got the check. She emphasized a huge vacuum closed plastic bag of the marinara sauce coming from what appeared to be straight from their meals vendor. Our experts failed to get the dish but our experts sure acquired a sizable volume of dressing to earn. It performs pay to ask and also while you may or even might certainly not obtain a dish directly you certainly never recognize what may happen I think.
There are actually obviously a really good amount of books, many articles on the internet and also various websites all asserting either accessibility to or having themselves, bistro keys as well as copycats recipes for numerous favorite American bistros. Whew, it type of makes my head rotate a little, yet in order to assist me achieve this mission of mine it has been worth the initiative. Numerous websites are suggesting the very same vital original resources (recipe hackers) of the counterfeit or imitators dishes and also in my adventure this is normally a great tip as an affordable area to begin.
There is actually constantly somebody who highlights their expertise and breakthrough of traits that have actually had influence on their lifestyle with how and why they did it. Sometimes they get back at better into it and also start industrying their efforts to generate some additional revenue. It may be actually the end result of a pal or even member of the family that cheers all of them on, however if it is actually flourished as well as the premium exists, it many times finds enough attention to create it worth the even though. Plus, there are always others that have like interests. It truly becomes a win-win for everyone and can spark on even more suggestions and also experiences from others that are actually intrigued.
As with anything, one has to dip their feet in and obtain a taste of it naturally. I have actually been actually trying out a number of these imitation bistro dishes sources and have actually been actually absolutely amazed. I have actually been finding out a whole lot much more than 1st notion and it has actually been actually a lot of exciting to top it off. The people who have produced these copycat dishes have truly performed an amazing job. My quest is actually to spare some loan obviously, but creating a few of these recipes is actually additionally an excellent method to know how to cook. Deal with it momentarily, one can actually know how to prepare a starter, entre or even pudding that they recognize is actually efficient at their beloved dining establishment as well as acquire terrific outcomes for their effort right out of eviction. I don't understand about you, yet I get a fantastic sense of accomplishment when taking time to find out one thing as well as it exercises.
Must you receive the urge to try these imitation or top secret dishes of the restaurants, I assume you are going to be greater than pleasingly surprised. I recognize I have actually been. If you intend to save some funds, discover how to cook or even simply to find one of your beloved bistro dishes, you will not lament it.
I have certainly not made an effort any of the "700 FREE dining establishment dishes" kind of sources online. They may be alright too, having said that, it has been my adventure that if one thing is really worth while, there need to be actually some price associated for the effort of making it offered. They undoubtedly do not need to be expensive either. The majority of expense regarding the same as a pleasant dinner for two as well as can consist of additional information coming from creating wine to expanding your own cannabis if you remain in to that. It is truly quite awesome what some have featured alongside the dish books they are advertising.
Similar to anything, do spend some time to evaluate just before creating any type of acquisition obviously, once you perform receive your feets wet have some enjoyable and also be actually readied to be astounded with the results.
When franchising, numerous kinds of help are actually available. Independent restaurants are relatively quick and easy to open up. All you need to have is actually a few 1000 dollars, a knowledge of dining establishment functions, and also a powerful desire to.
prosper. The benefit for private restaurateurs is actually that they can" perform their personal thing" in terms of principle advancement, menus, design, and more. Unless our behaviors and taste adjustment significantly, there is actually loads of area for individual dining establishments in specific areas. Restaurants go as well as happen. Some independent dining establishments will turn into small chains, and also larger companies will definitely get small chains.
As soon as little establishments display development as well as popularity, they are actually very likely to be bought out by a much larger company or will definitely have the capacity to obtain loan for expansion. An urge for the beginning restaurateur is actually to monitor sizable bistros in major urban areas as well as to strongly believe that their effectiveness could be replicated in secondary areas. Reading through the restaurant evaluates in New York City, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington, D.C., or even San Francisco may give the feeling that unique restaurants may be replicated in Des Moines, Kansas City, or even Main Town, USA. As a result of demographics, these indigenous or high-style bistros will certainly not click in little areas and also communities.
Will choose training from all-time low up and deal with all places of the bistro's operation Franchising includes the minimum monetary danger because the bistro style, consisting of building concept, advertising and marketing, and also menu plannings, presently have been assessed in the marketplace. Franchise business bistros are much less very likely to fail than independent dining establishments. The factor is that the concept is actually confirmed and the operating operations are actually established along with all (or most) of the kinks worked out. Training is offered, and marketing and also control assistance are actually on call. The enhanced possibility of effectiveness performs certainly not come cheap.
Absolute best restaurant Lynchburg duplicate dishes is merely a words that describes recipes that copy those of a certain restaurant or dining establishments. Bet vs. Buy? The ICO Market Has a Serious East-West Divide
In the U.S., initial coin offerings (ICOs) are about ideas. In the Asian market, they’re about returns.
“At the very beginning, the information coming from Asia to the US was very limited. We didn’t know what’s really going on,” Zhuling Chen, co-founder of Aelf, a cloud computing startup out of Singapore, told CoinDesk.
So the Asian market took off on its own, informed by the ecosystems around bitcoin and ethereum but also distinct from them, such as when major Asian banks launched distinct efforts starting in early 2016. Some of the differences between the two markets became clearer as CoinDesk spoke to investors and entrepreneurs during Blockchain Week in New York City.
If one common theme ran through our conversations about Asia, it was this: retail and institutional investors all want returns to realize much more quickly than investors do in the U.S., which may help explain why it has always had a vigorous ecosystem of exchanges.
Said more frankly, Jason Fang, managing partner at Sora Ventures, put it this way during a panel at Token Summit III: “Asians love to gamble.”
As he told CoinDesk, they don’t want long lockup periods like so many Western projects expect. Instead, they want to see tokens get released, listed and realize some of the gains that come from retail investors and market makers buying into a new coin.
Investors in Asia move fast into getting coins listed and sell them as they go up, because they know there is going to be an uptick after listing as market makers enter new tokens, but his firm avoids exiting to fiat.
“We’re money in, money out in crypto,” he said.
But Fang wasn’t alone in saying Asian investors want a good shot at a quick return.
Ricky Li, a co-founder of the new blockchain asset management company Altonomy (and an alum of one of the largest crypto funds in Asia, FBG Capital) agreed. He told CoinDesk that one of the Asian market’s problems is a tendency for investors not to diversify their portfolios over time.
“U.S. and Europe ICO project teams are more well invested in terms of financial knowledge,” Li told CoinDesk. Chinese companies and their neighbors will raise funds in ether and largely maintain those positions, sometimes failing to lock in gain or riding volatility through their whole portfolio, he said.
His company helps funds adjust their portfolios so that if there’s a massive loss in one asset it doesn’t threaten their solvency.
Entrepreneurs also illuminated other facets of the East-West divide in crypto, such as why Asian projects mirror Western protocols and the China ICO ban. Still, there was a strong willingness for both camps to find common ground.
Nick Tomaino, of VC firm 1protocol, told Token Summit attendees:
“It could be argued that Asia is kind of the most important part of the world in terms of cryptocurrency.”
Local technology
Language helps to explain another point of relativity in the crypto space: the fact that the market has copied existing protocols from the U.S. market that could theoretically work everywhere.
During the panel, Fang argued that as buzz grew around ethereum, there wasn’t documentation for the software in languages like Chinese or Korean. So, Asian-facing protocols launched and now they have strong communities built around them.
Community is key to all these early efforts and localizing can help some projects get there.
“The best way is to have your own project that’s local,” Li concurred. “That’s very appealing to investors in China culturally.”
In China, the web has history of localization. The state banned the Western internet which enabled the Chinese entrepreneurs to create a mobile business that largely started out by imitating Western products that were a proven success.
Now, though, with the Chinese ban on ICOs, Chinese firms have been forced to take a different approach.
“There’s no domestic market in China so all the companies learned to do globalization,” Chen explained. He called it something of a mixed benefit of the ban.
But still the companies remain focused on business results.
“The whole thing about tokenization, is you create incentives,” Li explained. In other words, a project raises money to do its work. It has those funds to support its staff and an incentive to deliver a product that people want to use so the tokens price will rise again after that first sell-off, as people start to use it. “I wouldn’t call the shorter turnaround necessarily a bad thing,” he said.
What it does mean, he granted, is more “paper projects” in Asia and more work for those interested in ICOs to discern which ones are real and which aren’t.
Fang agreed that shorter horizons can still work over time. “It will always be relative, not absolute,” he said. Plus, Asian tech companies are less hesitant about getting into tokens. Multiple Asian investors told us they liked “reverse ICOs,” where existing tech companies sell a token.
And sometimes entrepreneurs in one country will launch a localized version of another country’s creation for more structural reason. Abhishek Pitti, founder of Nucleus Vision, a $40 million ICO out of India that’s making what he called the “Neo of India” explained that it localized for a more structural reason.
“The Indian government doesn’t want to use any international protocols for security purposes,” he said.
New markets abroad
At a certain point, though, a mature project has to expand beyond the geography where it originated, and that reality is part of what brought so many entrepreneurs to New York for Blockchain Week.
“The most important thing to us is trying to hire the most talented guy you can find,” Chen said. Beijing he said, is strong on entrepreneurs, but needs other skills, particularly good cryptographers. “Most of them, I think they are in the U.S.,” he said on the panel.
“The general view is that a lot of American companies are pushing the boundaries of technological advancement,” Chen said. “In China, it’s slightly more balanced. More companies are looking from a business point of view.”
Fang summed up the West more succinctly: “I think right now people are betting on professors.”
Plus the U.S. has a giant pool of liquidity. “It’s about the community engagement,” Li argued. “If they want a project to be successful, you have to be global. Even NEO is very well received globally.”
Pitti made the same argument for India, saying that blockchain is still basically unknown there. If Asian capital comes online, it will be another massive pool of liquidity to stabilize the industry with. Still, there’s even more liquidity in the U.S., so more firms seem to be expanding here first.
But it’s not the only place. From the panel, Vansa Chatikavanij, managing director of OmiseGo, said her firm’s mission is to smooth financial frictions, which makes the West a lower priority. She specifically mentioned Vietnam as an opportunity, for example.
She said, “We are providing a wallet SDK as part of our solution. What we need local partners to do is actually implement it themselves,” because of national laws about money transmission.
But everyone is looking for users, wherever they can best be found; it’s a numbers game, Li explained:
“The retail customer is key to the success of the project. The key to the pricing. The key to opinion.”
