also to explain the counting-of-the-anders thing, anders cousland is the version of anders from my ridiculously long dragon age ii modern au it means tumult, where yes because it is an au everyone is a little oc-ified but because it's a handers fic that makes this au anders the most fleshed out after trista hawke, and i love him so fucking much, so i decided he counts for this game, lol

anyway, after that unnecessary ramble, here go!

They have a chance to get a tattoo: what would it be? marian hawke: okay first of all because i just did it APPARENTLY IF YOU GOOGLE "DRAGON AGE HAWKE TATTOO" THE FIRST IMAGE ON THE "ALL RESULTS" PAGE IS ME????? anyway, though, it's this red thing on her arm, i just see it as an actual tattoo she has even though we don't know what the fuck it means (also since i mentioned it uhh, i guess here's mine too, direct from the google results!, even though that arm doesn't look like that anymore as it's now a fully filled in half sleeve…although fuck, i barely even look like that anymore and goddamn let's not dwell on that…despite the fact that all my pink had faded out in this picture let the internet remember me this way indeed)

trista hawke: same as my marian, but in her universe i made it so that it's sort of like a hawke family crest she also just so happens to have no idea of the origin for, lol

autumn amell: she would totally get a broken circle sort of symbol, and/or a grey warden symbol, and/or a rose (most likely all of the above if given the opportunity)

astrid trevelyan: she has a tattoo under her left eye that's just little lines and dots, per the tattoo options in the character creation screen, and it's there to draw more attention to the scars she has on that side of her face and head (she also shaves her head on that side) that she acquired while fighting with the mage rebellion, which she's very proud of taking part in (even though she also regularly lies about whether or not she was part of it with the inquisition because she's terrified) (also here she is in a video capture even though you still really can't see the tattoo super well)

carrie shepard: she actually just starts collecting tattoos after the war and jack does them, and most of them are small and hidden and very personal (the coordinates for mindoir and anderson's service number, for example) but she has two fairly large ones, one on the inside of each forearm: an ash tree for ashley, and an outline of the river thames for anderson

sara ryder: she has a really big tattoo that covers pretty much her entire neck and is just pretty linework patterns that almost look like an elaborate large necklace; she got it because she thought it looked nice but also it was right after her mom died and she obviously wasn't getting any support so it was kind of a breakdown tattoo

anders cousland: tbh i'm not sure he would, like…he would probably just rather put the money towards his activism but if for some reason he had to, i'd have to really think about it but i could probably figure out an explanation for the "vengeance" (fuck you bioware) symbol to end up being associated with his justice persona in this universe

the only reason keigo decided to go in a corn maze with you was because he saw that it was a fun activity, and he had never done one before. and at first he thought it was fun, you and him were going around and trying to find the exit. just guessing and betting who would be right when guessed which way to go. but that was just until you guys kept hitting dead end, after dead end. keigo could feel himself getting slightly frustrated with how stupidly hard this maze was. he lost it when he heard a child exclaim how easy the maze was, he grabbed you and flew out of the made himself, declaring that he had also easily completed it as well. keigo wasn’t allowed back into the corn maze because he cheated. you never let the fact that he, the number 2 pro hero, got banned from a corn maze.

Wow! Someone tagged me??? Thank you so much @quinndecker214! I don't really have any OCs from any games that aren't self inserts why am I like this, so I guess I'll do one from a story I'm working on called The Lepers. I hope that's okay 🥰

1. What's your name?

"Gabor. Nice to meet you."

2. Do you know why you’re named that?

"Yeah, I was actually given this name when I was, like... yeesh... 19 I think? It means 'God's greatest warrior', which I think is a bit much, but I am a good fighter, I suppose. My given name is Azrael. It means... Well... 'Archangel of death'... yeah I think you can see why I changed it."

3. Single or Taken?

"Ha! Single. Not to many girls into the whole 'cabin in the woods, living off the land' thing."

4. Have any powers or abilities?

"Yooou'rrrre... joking... right?"

5. Stop being a Mary Sue.

"Mary what? *chuckles* Come on, I know my hair's getting long, but that's hardly a reason to call me a girl.

That reminds me, I should stop at the barbers on my next trip into Empyrean."

"Brown. Well... My grandma calls 'em russet."

"Black. I like it that way. Helps me blend into the night when... uh... necessary..."

"My parents, I suppose, but I'm honestly not really close with them. My grandma on the other hand, is more of a mother to me than my real one could ever be!"

"No pets. Just my loyal companion, Aala... Ah, did I forget to mention she's a hawk? She helps me hunt rabbits, small birds and things. Some would call her a pet. I would call her a friend."

"I... Well, I suppose I'll be honest... I don't... really like... myself... uh, yeah, sorry, I... I shouldn't have- L-let's just move on."

11. Any hobbies or activities you like to do?

"Oh, that's easy. Hunting with a bow and arrow. Hands down my favorite thing to do. I don't always kill the animal, though. If I already have all the meat I need, sometimes I'll hunt down an animal just to... y'know... watch it, I guess.

Alright, I guess you could say I'm a lion. I would do anything to protect my family and I have a strong 'bite', I suppose you could say. I'm also pretty strong willed."

"Worst habits, hm? I dunno, it drives my grandma crazy when I leave my bow and arrows lying around in random places."

"Other than my grandma? Elohim. The King of Empyrean. It's incredible how he just spends time with all of his subjects. He knows every one by name, he helps them with their duties, he plays with the children. It's just amazing."

"Straight."

"Nah, been there, done that."

19. Ever want to get married and have kids?

"I suppose I'd like to, sure, but realistically I don't think I'd be a very good dad."

"This. White shirt, green pants, gray cape, black boots. Earthy colors, you know? Helps me blend in with the environment."

"Oh, man, nothing beats a good slice of cornbread that is absolutely doused in honey... my mouths watering just thinking about it!"

"What? No! No, of course not, why would you think that?"

25. Well it’s still not over.

"Good! I enjoy making conversation. Wish it wasn't so focused on me, but that's alright."

26. What class are you?

"Class? Oh, like Level? Well, back home in Malaise I'd be forced to live as a level 3 which is, uh, upper class I guess you'd call it. But here in Empyrean we don't have levels or classes. As long as you got food, family, friends, and a good roof over your head, you're the richest man in the world.

Heh. That was weird, I'm pretty sure my grandma was the one speaking just then."

27. How many friends do you have?

"Oh, I don't know. I guess I just have five close friends. My grandmother, Elohim, Mr. Alden - ah, the butcher, Trista - that pretty young girl I met in Malaise when visiting grandma, and her friend Odysseia. Well, I'd say it's a love-hate relationship with Ode. I lovingly tease her, she unconditonally hates me, it's a great friendship. And of course there's also my best friend, Aala."

28. What are your thoughts on pie?

"Delicious! Kaarina, the baker, makes the best rhubarb pie you'll ever taste in your life!"

29. Favorite drink?

"A nice hot coffee with just a touch of honey to cut down the bitterness a little."

*blushes* "Me? Interested? Ha, that's, uh, that's ridiculous! I mean, Trista's nice and all, but it's not like she'd ever see me in that way or anything, heheh..."

"Well, I've never swam in the ocean, even though it was right next to Malaise. Wasn't allowed outside the city limits, y'know? And when I did finally sneak out, my priority was making it to Empyrean, so... I guess I prefer swimming in the lake."

"My type? I dunno... kind and honest are the two main things I look for. Not to picky, otherwise."

Short Bio:

Isadore was born in Kirkwall to Ernesto Morosa, an Antivan, and Diwa a woman from Laysh, who were both immigrants. Both her parents struggled to make a living, therefore the family lived in Darktown.

Isadore began showing magic at a young age, but was convinced by her parents to hide it so she would not be taken away. She and her sisters often pick-pocketed and gone through trash to find secondhand things her father could sell. As Isadore grew older, she joined the Mage underground despite her parents’ worries and managed to help hundreds of Mages escape the Gallows along with Hawke and Anders.

After the Chantry explosion, Isadore is separated from her family and is taken in by a group of apostates who she’d helped. She later learns that her family was slain by Templars. They travel for a year until they reach the Conclave.

Isadore agrees to join the Inquisition as she is hungry and has nowhere to go. She allies with the Mages and manages to fend off Corypheus during his attack on Haven. Upon reaching Skyhold, she is appointed Inquisitor, despite her young age. Because she’d never trained in magic, Vivienne takes it upon herself to train Isadore, helping her be more confident in her skills and forming a deep friendship with her. Isadore also pursues a relationship with Sera and falls in love.

After Corypheus’ defeat, Isadore supports Leliana in becoming Divine. Two years later, she disbands the Inquisition during the Exalted Council. She joins the Red Jennies and returns to Kirkwall, where she and Sera make a home.

all right, i think i’m just going to ramble about my first off-lore inquisitor. this was originally supposed to be a fuck-around playthrough where it’s me but as always i slipped and created a character instead:

meet isadore trevelyan (though the trevelyan last name wouldn’t make sense?)

she’s not a mage, nor a warrior or a rogue, lol, which stems from another joke-y idea i had (though she’s a mage in the actual game). if you wanna read there’s more under the cut because it’s rambly and long

i’m bored of only noble origins for humans so i made one up that isn’t. it’s mostly the same for isadore but there’s some changes. her father was a struggling antivan peasant who moved to kirkwall, hopeful for a new start. unfortunately it all fell through and he ended up bankrupt and living in darktown. there, he meets isadore’s mother and they have three girls: isadore (first born), nina, and trista.

isadore grew up in darktown and she and her sisters and father made a living by selling secondhand (often stolen) goods. when her mother got sick, the chantry was no help, so they sent her to the darktown healer, anders. during this time, isadore learns about the mage underground and helps them, despite her parents’s protests. she mostly passed messages and supplies along darktown, as she was not trained in combat.

while isadore spoke to anders often, she only ever saw hawke in glimpses. during the chantry explosion, isadore was separated from her family. she wandered around aimlessly for a while, thinking she was going to die, until some mages she’d helped takes her in and she travels with them. she stays with the apostates and travels to the conclave, hoping she’d see her family there.

but of course the explosion happens and she ends up with the mark on her hand. she was insanely terrified after, and agrees to join the inquisition because she was afraid they’d have her taken to trial and killed for justinia’s death.

isadore is very sympathetic towards mages - after all, anders nursed her mother for years for free. she helped them and saw what they went through and how templars abused their power. they also took her in during the rebellion and when she got separated from her family. she chooses to ally with the mages.

as for combat, isadore is not trained in weapons. she’s used broken glass back in kirkwall to defend herself, but she isn’t an expert. she’s tried training as a warrior with cassandra, blackwall and bull, but fails. she also tries training as a rogue with cole, sera, and varric but also fails. solas then attempts to see if they could coax some magic out, but nothing. when travelling she often just hides behind everyone and wait until the demons are gone to close the rift.

isadore only survives corypheus’s attack because the mark on her hand was powerful. when they get to skyhold and recruit dagna, she makes a contraption she could slip on her arm that harnesses energy from the mark and can attack with a force. she manages to learn how to use it efficiently.

she saves celene from assassination, leaves stroud in the fade, and redeems blackwall. at the temple of mythal, she doesn’t think morrigan should drink from the well because she isn’t elven. she tries to convince solas but solas won’t. and because she knows she shouldn’t drink from it either, she just lets morrigan do it.

after defeating corypheus, she chooses leliana as the divine.

during the exalted council, she disbands the inquisition, as she is tired and feels she could no longer give to them what she had before. she tells solas she’s going to stop him from destroying the world.

as for her family i’m still trying to figure out whether or not she finds them or they’re dead. but nevertheless after trespasser, she goes with varric to kirkwall and helps him rebuild things.

for relationships, she ends up becoming very close friends with varric, sera, and dorian. she becomes a red jenny and often joins sera when sera visits kirkwall. she talks to dorian a lot through the crystal.

as for romance, right now i’m messing around but since it is based on me, i figure canonically isadore would have crushes on like every woman in skyhold but never pursues anything because she isn’t interested in it. i very much like the idea that she and varric are bffs who after the events just go back to kirkwall to try to make it better. after all, kirkwall is still her home.

1. What drew your character to their LI and vice versa?That whole “sexy, tortured look,” lol. Okay, not really, but also kind of? They immediately saw so much of themselves in each other, though: that haunted look, that pain, that fear. They knew their lives were changed the moment they met (well, for Trista, at least; for Anders it was the first time he had a fully coherent conversation with her, that first night she came to group). Of course they also each found the other generally physically attractive, as well, but that wasn’t the thing.

2. What was the first moment that they knew they were in love with their LI? Trista really didn’t know until the first time she said it, when she let it slip in that frantic voicemail. Anders, in turn, didn’t really know he felt the same until he heard her say it, but that was when he was absolutely sure, despite how long it took him to be able to say it back.

11. Do they have any inside jokes?Mostly just Velvet Goldmine references.

15. Does their view of themselves differ from their partner’s view?Oh lord, yes. If either of them saw the other at all the way they see themselves, they couldn’t bear to be in the same damn city, much less the same apartment. What is truly remarkable, however, is their being able to acknowledge their similarities while somehow not hating what they see in the other.

17. Their ways of expressing their love.Singing songs that make them think of each other at karaoke. Making playlists. And can’t forget cuddling. Cuddling is a big one.

19. Describe how they communicate.They share things. They constantly offer words of comfort when one or both is having a hard time (which is most of the time). More about the cuddling.

24. Is there any moment that happens between them that you know happens and just makes you melt? That one very special playlist Trista makes Anders always gives me that feel, despite the temporary disaster that ensues, ahaha. Otherwise, just in general these nerds being together and making each other happy and knowing that they are never, ever going to lose that.

27. What makes you excited about their relationship? Anders deserves all the love in the world, no matter what universe he’s in! But also the music. I love how much they can express through music, and that they can share it with each other like they do because their tastes are so similar. And Velvet Goldmine references. Seriously, too good.

29. What are your favorite moments that happen between them? That first night Trista crashes at Anders’s apartment is always a favorite. And their first Satinalia together. I’m sure I could come up with more, but that’s what sticks out for me right now. :D

4. Their favorite physical feature on each other? Trista loves Anders’s nose (who doesn’t tbh) and smile. Anders loves Trista’s eyes and smile. They both particularly love each other’s smiles because they don’t see them nearly often enough, so it isn’t even simply that they find the other’s to be beautiful on its own (which they absolutely do), but because it’s so damn special when it does come out, because even if it’s just for one fleeting moment, they were content enough to let it show.

7. Favorite date activity? They’re legitimately most content to order in and watch movies or Netflix or what have you on the couch with Pounce.

14. Is there anything they associate with each other?Trista, of course, thinks of Anders whenever she sees something cat-related. He is also constantly popping into her head at the mere mention of jewelry. Anders thinks of Trista at the sight of Doc Martens, the sound of synthesizers, and the smell of cigarette smoke.

30. How does their love change as they get older?It eases, in a way. It becomes less terrifying as time goes on, as it feels more and more like a constant and not something they have to continuously second guess and fear losing. They grow complacent enough to stop constantly asking themselves how they could possibly deserve this and subsequently waiting for the other shoe to drop. It grows with them, matures, solidifies, stabilizes. But it never becomes stagnant and they never take it for granted.

7. Physical scar with the worst memory?Before being rebuilt, it would be the ones she’d had across her cheek and on her lip, souvenirs from Akuze. Honorable mention, however, goes to the long and jagged mark across one of her hips that she doesn’t remember making, but not-so-mysteriously appeared after Virmire. After being rebuilt, it would probably be all of them. There’s one for every marine she lost on Akuze, one for every mission she completes under the Illusive Man, one for each order she takes from him. She does not handle her time with Cerberus well.

19. First heartbreak?Heartbreak isn’t actually a very familiar feeling. When she was in her very early 20s, she developed an attachment to a vaguely abusive friend with benefits that didn’t work out, and she doesn’t like to admit to how much sleep she lost over it, even though that was clearly in her favor. Otherwise, though, attachment is something she’s traditionally much preferred to avoid. She loves sex but fears intimacy, and she’s inadvertently hurt people along the way when she didn’t realize that they didn’t agree her with that the two are not at all the same thing.

Since they’re the two I’m working with right now, I’m going to answer for Carrie Shepard and Trista Hawke.

21. How do you sleep?Carrie: Erratically, often requiring the assistance of alcohol. She is often too reliant on a set of arms around her to make her feel safe. She very rarely sleeps through the night. She isn’t picky about what she wears to bed, though. However she ends up is how she ends up.

Trista: With similar difficulty, because what even is the point of having OCs if you’re not projecting all of your problems onto them, amirite. She doesn’t rely as heavily on intoxication, though (however, when she does have such times, she’ll go opiates over alcohol). She prefers soft and comfy pajamas or oversized t-shirts and underwear. She needs to be comfortable in what she’s wearing, and she absolutely hates trying to sleep in the nude (whereas Carrie certainly doesn’t prefer it, but doesn’t really have an issue with it, either).
