Trey Clover’s Flower Bouquet Meaning

So I'll start off by saying, I don’t know much about Trey Clover aside from what we know about him from the main story and events.

But I think we can all collectively agree that his bouquet surprised us, we definitely weren’t expecting all the green, that’s for sure. (I mentioned how it reminded me of a salad or rabbit food basically to a few friends lolol) 

But when you think about it, it kind of fits him, doesn’t it?

When you think about clovers (as from his last name), you can’t help but think of the four leaf clover 🍀🍀🍀🍀, which is said to bring luck. Those clovers tend to be green, hence the green bouquet. Which I think is kind of cute if they went that route. (or maybe he got tired of making sweets and are telling his friends to eat vegetables through subliminal messages 😂🤔) 

My friend Lala 💕🌻🌺  brought up a great point, green flowers tend to be rare and on further research, they also tend to be mutations on some variations of flowers. This also fits Trey because he tends to act normal and tries to stay out of the spotlight, but he is unique himself when it comes to his actions and magic ability. We have also seen how he acts when he does step in into the story as well.

By now, we have learned that the sun and moon changes sides on each of the cards and it turns out to have a purpose. When the sun is on the left then the groovy tends to be in the day time. When the sun is on the right, as we see in Ace and Trey cards, the groovy is at night. Safe to say, the twin’s birthday might have both, one in the day and one at night. (Good luck Octa fans)

I also find it cute how Trey is winking. It kinds of reminds me of how Cater is winking and it could be cute to think he’s adopting Cater’s habits.

[As usual, my disclaimer from before stands, flowers have many different meanings depending on region and color, so the meanings I have might differ from the meanings you know]

There were a couple flowers my friends and I were having trouble figuring out but this is what we figured out.

Trey’s bouquet has roses, so far we have we have our continuing theme of roses for Heartslabyul boys and I am here for it 🙌💚 and another cute aspect of his bouquet is the white clovers he has. Literally his name and how he hides amongst the flowers.

Green Roses: renewal, fertility, rejuvenation of spirit and energy.

Cotton Flower: wealth, well-being, cherish people around you.

Globe Amaranth: unchanging friendship, unfading, good fortune.

Gerbera Daisies: innocence, purity, loyal love

Green Hydrangeas: Harmonious family, rebirth, good health, and prosperity.

White Clover Flower/Seeds: Happiness, good luck, promise, remember me,

Dianthus Green Ball: love, affection, gratitude, and admiration.

Raspberries: Compassion, kindness, forgiveness, taking responsibility for one one’s actions, sympathy, desire to help others, releasing old wounds, and ‘turning the other cheek (wow, this one really fits him).

Green Aster: Love, wisdom, faith.

Green Chrysanthemum: Good fortune, rebirth, renew, and good health.

Zinnias: love that is growing or being renewed, good fortune, friendship, remembrance. 

Flowers can be assigned to days: Since October 25 is on Tuesday (in Japan), These are the flowers:

Nasturtium: loyal, conquest

Geranium: good health, friendship, happiness, good wishes

Dahlia: commitment and kindness

Red Hot Poker: Knowledge of true self, more than physical strength.

Random Fact: Anniversaries could also be considered, since its the 3rd bdays for all the boys, their flower will be Sunflower: strength  be well, happiness, male healing, confidence, self-esteem, assertiveness. Sounds just like them, doesn’t it?

Trey Clover SSR Broomquet Birthday Voice Lines

Finally got around to groovying Trey’s Dorm SSR and please tell me why his voice line kinda—

Like I’m not insane, right? Right? Right???? Please tell me I’m not the only one that looked at this, heard this, and keeled over. Please this isn’t fair. This isn’t fair. This had me up at 2 am staring at my ceiling as I felt the hours slipping by me wondering who the fuck decided it’d be a good idea to make that his groovy voice line. I’m losing my sanity. I cannot sit here and exist a minute without thinking about this line and his magic three voice lines before becoming overcome with desire.

Trey Clover had me at his laugh. He has the cutest laugh ever, he just gets all wheezy in the middle of it and he giggles and there's something so endearing about this 6 foot baker man with forearms sculpted by the gods with a laugh that sounds like pure sunshine. I want to eat his laugh. I want to bottle it up. When he laughs it's like my stress just melts away. It's free therapy. It's depression curing. I want him to have the best life ever so he can keep laughing at silly little things like oyster sauce. Like okay, there's the chuckles he makes when he's amused by something but then there's his pure laughter and that's what I'm talking about here because his chuckles are hot but his laugh, his giggles are the sweetest things in the world, sweeter than the cakes he makes and I would get cavities just listening to it.

BUT NOW HES GOT ME WITH EVERYTHING ELSE. HE BREATHES AND I SIT HERE GOING DELUSIONAL OVER IT, HANDS SHAKING HEART FALLING APART GODS I WISH MEN WERE REAL.

a recipe for midnight violets.

A SIMPLE AFFAIR;

1 egg white 3-6 drops 100 proof vodka Caster sugar 1 paint brush—round size 1 recommended Freshly-picked flower petals

1 egg white; hard-fought for in a kitchen where common refrigerator manners often take a back seat to secret midnight hunger pangs and all staples are needed to keep the peace. Keep both eyes on it for the rest of the day, known by heart the amount of eggs in the containers. Leave another note on the ones reserved for Halloween baking. Remember that you still need to get the menu approved. Vow to do that first thing tomorrow, or else it will get swallowed by class and the final science club meeting before the stamp rally is in full swing.

3-6 drops 100 proof vodka; strike this off the list, as there’s no easy way to sneak that onto campus without severe repercussions. Consider it anyway, for the briefest of moments, while you’re flipping through your recipe journal for ideas while assembling said Halloween menu that still hasn’t been approved. Remember that you’re behind on everything, not just getting the menu in front of the eyes it needs. Feel your stomach drop just that little bit more. Ignore the part of you that rankles at the idea of leaving a single thing off an already-short recipe list. Remind yourself that a Vice Housewarden breaking the rules would reflect terribly on your dorm. Remind yourself that it’s only an agent for flavor and to dry the flowers faster.

Remind yourself that compromises keep Heartslabyul running as smoothly as it does. Remind yourself you don’t really have the time to be picky or dawdle looking at a recipe that won’t be needed for Halloween.

Caster sugar; just refilled last weekend because you go through it as fast as anything in this house. Keep track of the glass jar for the sugar as much as you do the eggs. Be grateful that you are the only one whose hands usually reach for it. Silently pray that none of the freshmen decide they want to do a little extra baking on the side, for their own means.

Reprimand a group of them anyway for loitering while you’re in the process of checking it again—always with a smile, always with a firm voice. Lose the smile when they inform you, “We’re almost out of hedgehog feed,” and nod in understanding. Bemoan that hedgehog feed is the veritable smorgasbord of fruits and vegetables and seeds they get served on platters by those looking for a croquet edge. Decide it’s not worth it to shoo them out; you can’t, anyway, when they’re doing their job.

Hover on the edges, because you rarely trust anyone with knives.

1 paint brush at the recommended size; found by combing through the unwieldy labyrinth of a storage room. Let it rest comfortably in your hands, and give your wrist a flick as if casting a spell. Feel how ingrained the movement is, easy as piping frosting onto a cake or painting roses red.

Be a little disappointed that they don’t want to bloom in full, and make a note to mess with the soil components next time, when you can afford more of this distraction. (Dwell only for a moment that the plot with your name on it is one of the few times your notes don’t seem to mysteriously disappear. Know that it isn’t on purpose, that there’s so much movement in the kitchen day in and day out that things get torn and lost. Decide you don’t have the time to consider malicious intent or sabotage, though you never leave the possibility behind—be confident that you can teach lessons later.)

Work around others while assembling your ingredients over the past week. Grow numb to the gentle chidings of how many things your hands are in, leading questions about what you want for your birthday. Give stock answers, because you don’t expect a follow-through, not out of apathy, but because there’s so much else to do. Be shocked, as you are every year, when you’re hounded for a proper answer. Repeat the same thing you’ve said for three years: do we have to do this? the party, the cakes, the song and sash?

Get an enthusiastic response in return, the type that almost seems affronted at the idea you might not want a celebration. Smile and shake your head in return. Give a stock answer. Highball it, just to see the way the grimaces get painted across your peers’ faces. Watch them nod—watch some of them mutter that’s not cheap or yeah, I figured as though you haven’t done this three years in a row.

Never tell them the truth: some peace and quiet would be nice.

Joke about the sophomores in charge of your birthday cake instead, and watch them defend your honor instead of probing further.

Remember to finally turn in the menu plan, both for snacks for those running their stamp rally booth, and for their own internal festivities throughout the coming weeks, and for November’s unbirthday party, as it will be here before anyone blinks—

Get a package first thing in the morning, and recognize the shape of the box before the cardboard’s even ripped off and your eyes glance at the return address. See the familiar embossed design, the script reading Patisserie Clover and the birthday card tucked on top underneath green ribbon.

Vow to open it later, because you’re halfway out the door and running later than usual to class, conjuring it away with a smile despite being pressed for time.

Forget about the package when sliding into your seat just under the wire to not be counted tardy. Let it slip out of your mind the moment you open your textbook to start taking notes. Let the morning fatigue drip into the corners of your mind, content that you’ve done what you can to catch up and your paper due today isn’t late, even if you stayed up later.

Lose track of the morning as it passes you by in a blur.

Skip most of lunch to return a book to the library. Get stuck in a conversation with one of the librarians as he asks how you enjoyed it, what books you had your eye on next. Feel your stomach punishing you for it as soon as you start suiting up for alchemy class. Sit with the hunger fighting at your stomach and head until you’re finally done for the day. Be thankful you’re not needed for stamp rally duty, and make a beeline for the kitchen as soon as you can.

Forget that per birthday tradition, you’ve been unceremoniously barred from stepping too deep into the action. Get an apple for your troubles, smell dinner on the horizon, and then be shooed out.

Eye someone’s hands on the caster sugar on the way back through the threshold; eye eggs being used—for dinner, for your own cake you’re barred from helping, for any other possibility. Smile and ask everyone not to burn the place down, to watch fingers and knives. Get shooed out before you can answer, are you excited for tomorrow?

Be thrilled you don’t have to answer that question honestly.

Walk halfway up the stairs until someone calls your name, looking for extra hands to tend to the flamingos since Heartslabyul is down so many hands. Shove the apple into your mouth and dig your magic pen out of your pocket, resign yourself to changing what you’re wearing to pink to assist.

Help until the sun is streaked pink enough to match your magicked shirt. Wipe the sweat off your brow and play keep-away with the apple core and a green-feathered chick.

Make your way three-fourths of the way up the stairs to your room before your hear someone else calling your name.

Feel your shoulders rise. Feel them fall when it’s just one of the sophomores telling you dinner will be ready soon.

Make it to your room. Take your shoes off. Take your glasses off and set them by the nightstand. Run a hand through your day-disheveled hair and decide to sit for a minute.

Close your eyes for a fraction of a second.

Open them to complete darkness and dried drool at the corner of your mouth.

Fumble for far too long to turn on your lamp, rub at your eyes until sleep’s pushed back and your glasses are on. Fumble around the bed for your phone and scroll through the couple of messages you’ve missed. Decide nothing is dire, but it’s later than you want it to be.

Have a sinking feeling in your stomach when it growls. Remember your plans that kept getting halted.

Slip your shoes back on and tiptoe through the halls as quietly as possible. Know if anyone catches you, they likely won’t bat an eye unless they’re sharp enough to remember what tomorrow is. Bet on it as you make your way down the stairs, walking faster through the threshold of the kitchen and making a beeline to the fridge.

Let your stomach growl.

Let your stomach sink.

Stare at the empty egg container with your note nowhere to be found. Forgo even bothering to look at the amount of caster sugar leftover. Take note of the bottom of the fridge cleared out, taken up by a cake container. Take note that the semi-opaque container can’t conceal the fact it’s leaning to one side.

Resign yourself to frustration and sleep before a box and gold embossing catch your eye. Remember the package from earlier you conjured away, shoved in the back from the shuffling of ingredients and food to make way for the cake. (Feel a little bad for the envelope you spirited away with it, as it’s now partially squished.)

Know what rests inside on green parchment paper before you open the package on the kitchen counter, illuminated by the glow of your magestone. Let the smell of sugar send you to a different kitchen, or resting your elbows on the counter on rainy days between customers. Make out the signatures of your parents as you open the birthday card, Tripp and Tressa’s signatures smaller and hastier below it.

Let the sweetness of the first violet melt on your tongue.

Hear the floor above you creak; decide after no footsteps follow it’s just an old building settling. Check your phone, notice that the time has rolled past midnight, the date underneath the time proclaiming it to be October 25 to bleary eyes.

Steal the peace and quiet while it lasts.

Like the people behind the cards, backgrounds, and the models. I really love the art in the game and I've always wanted to know who the people behind it were.

I've been especially curious about the artist or artists behind the Broomquet cards regular and groovy art, but I wasn't sure where to find that out.

Yes! If you visit the credits page in-game, there is a list of the names/aliases used by Yana's five creative assistants!

・Hioki Jun

Information: "Affiliated with creative studio D-6th. Responsible for writing/supervising event scenarios and vignettes for the game app 'Disney Twisted Wonderland.'" (ref: hmv.co.jp )

Hioki is also the author of the two Twisted Wonderland novels.

A search for "Hioki Jun" does not turn up any other work that they've done outside of D-6th, so this might be a pen name.

・Hazuki Wakana and Kowono Sumire

Information: Yana explains that Hazuki and Kowono "...are staff members involved in art production for background settings, cards, and more in the Twisted Wonderland app," in addition to being the illustrator and designer of the Heartslabyul and Octavinelle arcs of the ongoing manga series.

There do not seem to be any SNS accounts or other published works associated with the names "Hazuki Wakana" or "Kowono Sumire," so they might be aliases for use in their work with D-6th.

Yana says that they are both also staff members that have been working with her on her manga, Black Butler, for many years, and Hazuki is listed (along with Hioki Jun and Sorano Tsuki) in the credits of that manga. (There is a reason why "Hazuki" is being spelled "Haduki," but that would get into a looot of language talk.)

The two artists will sometimes have messages to fans posted through Yana's Twitter account, like at the conclusion of the Heartslabyu arc and the start of Octavinelle.

Information: In addition to being a Black Butler collaborator and filling an unspecified role in the Twst game, Sorano is also one of the artists in the second anthology manga (far right, the story featuring Stargazer Trey and Deuce). I was not able to find anything else published under the name "Sorano Tsuki."

The Bloom/Broom Series

Yana says that she participated in concept design, costume design, and card art direction of the Bloom/Broom series, but the flowers used were special bouquets designed specifically for each character by a professional flower artist.

It is not specified that the flower artist was someone on the D-6th team, so it might have been someone that they brought on specifically for that one project.

In an episode of Twisted Radio Station it was explained that each bouquet is physically crafted and then reference photos are taken. They said that the illustrations are very detailed, with every petal and leaf individually drawn.

Bonus - Osakabe Wataru

Twst's logo designer / user interface designer / emblem designer / icon designer (etc) Osakabe Wataru designed the characters' personal emblems and club emblems that can be seen on their letterman jackets in the Birthday Jacket series.

They also contribute to the novels and manga (both serialized and the anthologies), other published works such as all three visual books and the Design Note, designed the logo for Twst Channel and anniversaries, the logo and emblem for the Night Ravens music group and do the monthly rotating advertisements in Tokyo Station.

Osakabe is a prolific graphic designer and, unlike Yana's assistants, their other work is very easy to find. Their website and portfolio are here:

Dorm Azul SSR Card Analysis

Dorm Azul is a double Water Balanced SSR that gains a third Water spell upon limit breaking him thrice. Azul is the definition of a balanced card. His heal makes him viable for defense tests, and his double Water especially makes him coveted for Fire Defense. If his M3 is unlocked, activating Azul's Curse Immunity will allow him to heal despite Curse hitting him. On the other hand, his ATK M buddy with Jade allows him to be great at offense. Taking his Lv.100 stats for example, Azul's ATK with Jade in team is 7,620, which is high enough for a powerful duo overkill (around 9k per hit, equating to 27k in total). Even without Jade in team, Azul's ATK UP S on his first spell allows him to deal more damage, all the more if you use his first and second spell together. Dorm Azul works best in Fire Basic and Defense. For Fire Basic, his duo partner is Riddle, whose Dorm card (Fire/Fire) deals a lot of damage in spite of all neutral hit. Dorm Jade (Water/Fire), Union Jade (Cosmic/Water), and Broomquet Jade (Fire/Water) are some of the best options to boost Azul's ATK, and Robe Jade (Fire/Cosmic) as a f2p friendly option. As a bonus, having Dorm Idia (Fire/Cosmic) in team can boost Azul's HP further in case survival is needed, and this allows for Dorm Ortho, a fellow duo overkill, to be in the team. For Fire Defense, the best Riddle to use is Tsum Riddle (Cosmic/Water) due to his HP and ATK DOWN targeting 2 enemies at once. Robe Riddle (Fire/Water) is also a great f2p friendly option due to his high HP. Masquerade Idia (Water/Water) and Lab Idia (Water/Water) are the best options to use with Azul because of double Water, with the former being better due to higher HP and ATK DOWN L on first spell and the latter being a cheaper option. GM Idia (Water/Flora) and Dorm Idia are also good options especially due to mutual HP buddy with Azul, but the former has a weak spell and the latter has no advantage spells. Well worth noting that with Idia in team, this allows for Dorm Trey to be used together with Azul due to mutual Idia buddy. Azul also does very well in Cosmic and Omni Defense tests, mainly due to his heal and buddy synergy with other great cards. One of the best teams for both tests is Dorm Trey, Dorm Cater, Dorm Azul, Dorm Idia, and Beans Jade, with base HP 68,597 with all cards at Lv.80 and additional 15,620 HP from all heals. Azul and Idia have mutual HP buddy, and Beans Jade boosts Azul's ATK, making him one of the main damage dealers in the test. Dorm Idia can be replaced with GM Idia as well. Azul can also be useful in Water Basic. If you have Union Riddle (Cosmic/Flora), both of them have a mutual duo, with Riddle's ATK being boosted by Azul. Halloween Jade (Water/Flora) may be added to not only boost Azul's ATK but also to add an additional duo, with Lab Jade (Water/Flora) as a good cheaper option. Overall, Dorm Azul is a very versatile card that can be used in a lot of tests, with buddy synergy with numerous other amazing cards, many of them being permanent cards. Azul is a card very worth investing on.
