Twenty Years ago Ron Clements and John Musker gave us a masterful film at the time 20 years into it’s own creative thinking. Of course we all know the tragedy that is this film’s cult following, A wonderful timeless film about found family, the joys of space and the sense of adventure that the original Robert Louis Stevenson gave us all those years ago.
Rattle the Stars is a fan project webcomic series based on the plot of the original canceled sequel . Some of you have seen Breadsword’s “Treasure Planet’s - Disney’s Biggest Mistake” That came out back in 2017 (very good watch) and know the sadness that comes with realizing that whether intentional or not, the corporate ladder in some way failed this movie and let it fall into obscurity when it deserved much more for the effort the production went into it, from music to art to animation to story.
So I felt it fitting to announce my project publicly and start working in earnest on the 20 anniversary of one of my favorite films. If you’d like to support me while I take on this project you can donate to my Ko-Fi.
See you all soon!

Hello I’m so curious about Jim Hawkins in your Disney verse
Aw thanks! I don't have a ton in Jim atm but this is what I do have!

Apparently this is concept art for the canceled sequel to Treasure Planet.
But to me, it just looks like a brand new meme format just waiting for its chance to shine.

Are you fucking kidding me!?
I always thought a love interest would be not the way to go with it, but an enemies to lovers!?

[rewriting the story so that Sophie and Kate didn’t start off so well since she’s rivals with their boyfriend]
Sophie: This is how you resolve conflict? No wonder you’re single!
Kate: [scoffs/attempts to ignore them]
Sophie: Oh come on, am I talking to myself here?! I say ‘he’s not that bad’ and you say ‘grrr.’ I say ‘can we talk about this?’ and you say ‘grrr.’ I don’t call that communication.
Kate: [rolls eyes/growls]
Sophie: See? That’s your answer to everything.

Disney songs that hit different when you're queer
"Reflection" Mulan (specifically if you're transgender)
"I'll Make A Man Out of You" Mulan (the transmasc euphoria song)
"Jack's Lament" the Nightmare Before Christmas
"Part of Your World" the Little Mermaid
"God Help the Outcasts" the Hunchback of Notre Dame
"I'm Still Here" Treasure Planet (specifically my transmasc anthem but my experiences are not universal)
"Out There" the Hunchback of Notre Dame (when you're closeted)
"Waiting On a Miracle" Encanto (when you're queer and religious)
"One of Us" Lion King 2
"How Far I'll Go" Moana ( when the people who raised you wouldn't let you be exposed to any queer media)
"Colors of The Wind" Pocahontas (the only good thing the Pocahontas franchise brought us was the soundtrack. When my friend was closeted she said to a girl who was being blatantly homophobic " you think the only people who are people are the people that look and think like you." Stopped her in her tracks!)
"Kiss the Girl" the Little Mermaid (but specifically when. You know what I mean lmao)
"When Will My Life Begin" Tangled
"Go The Distance" Hercules
"I Won't Say I'm In Love" Hercules
"One Jump Ahead (reprise)" Aladdin
"Proud of Your Boy" Aladdin Broadway musical
"If I Never Knew You" Pocahontas
Do feel free to add. Just don't let Disney see this

Look, I'm not forcing you to watch How to Train Your Dragon, Rise of the Guardians, The Mitchells vs The Machines, Megamind, Brother Bear, every Studio Ghibli movie, Treasure Planet, Avatar the Last Airbender, Despicable Me, Ice Age, Dinosaur, Tinker Bell, The Fox and The Hound, Gnomeo and Juliet, but you would be doing yourself a favor if you do.
