I don’t understand media that tries to absolve a character of the hurt and pain they’ve caused by having another heroic character go “in your circumstances I would’ve done the same.” Like, points for empathy, I guess, but that doesn’t change or fix anything harmful that’s happened to anyone else.

“Belle is so mean to the villagers!” is a weird as hell take on the opening song for her, considering the meanest thing she has to say about them is that their routine never changes, and she actively tries to engage with them and share her interests with them.

Meanwhile, they literally disregard her and completely demean her love of books in front of her.

(Of course, this only applies to the original animated story. In the remake she is super fucking condescending, so the mean take is valid there.)

More D2 concept art from Thomas Zenteno: Isle docks/Ursula's Fish and Ships

The docks have kind of an industrial feel to them, close-in and dingy. The Lost Revenge might have been a cargo ship, or maybe they were just based in a warehouse?

Ursula's Fish and Chips had a seaside cavernous look going, which befits the idea that the Sea Witch used to run it. I think that might be prototype Harry and Uma standing out front there.

It’s almost funny how some people had to justify Mal for stealing Ben from Audrey by saying “Audrey was toxic” “Audrey didn’t love Ben/Ben didn’t love Audrey” as if it does make it any less true that Mal did poison Ben love potion, took his rights to make decisions for himself away, caused the worst breakup ever:getting dumped right in front of two entire schools and your ex immediately moved onto another girl.

All above mentioned things between Ben and Audrey didn’t even matter. If he wants to break up, it’s okay. Also if he don’t, it’s okay and none of MAL’s business to interfere and make him do it. Mal had nothing to do with Ben/Audrey relationship and she did fuck up it for her plan. That’s the problem.

THE ONLY QUESTION IS is it fun, camp, and has aliens. also remember the worst doctor who showrunner is always the current doctor who showrunner. now go watch the new episodes as god intended like you're ten years old and still remember how to experience joy and whimsy.
