seeing this prompt last year felt a bit like seeing the bat-signal up in the sky haha the term erastes/eromenos is something that i've been putting into obikin since my very first story in 2020. i hope the story lived up to the prompter's expectations, i had a lot of fun writing it! <3

I am so excited to share my contribution to @topwan-obikin fest 2023! @fulcrum843 sent in a prompt that really spoke to me and I had a lot of fun writing this. Thank you especially to @ineffableobikin for the beta, as I had never worked on a prompt before and had a lot of nerves :)

Obi-Wan and Anakin's secret relationship becomes not-so-secret, at the worst possible time, and Obi-Wan makes a surprising choice about what he really wants. Also, shoutout to all my fellow M*A*S*H nerds: it's the B-plot to The Nurses, but make it Obikin.

Should you not make it, remember that you can always post your creation as an post-fest submission in which case you won't go through the anonymous phase but be immediately revealed. Please also notify us when you submit a creation to our collection post fest, since we won't check the collection as often as in the fest period.

For any doubts or questions, don’t hesitate to send us a DM or an ask.

Will it automatically be revealed and have my username attached or will there still be an anonymous period? (Just checking. I'm not interested in staying anonymous, so immediate reveal works for me if that's the case!) Ty ✨

We are so happy you'd like to claim one of our prompts! For after fest submissions your work will be immediately revealed and you won't be anonymous. So your username will be immediately visible!

The only thing we ask of you for after fest submissions is to send a quick DM here to notify us of your submission, so that we are quicker to approve it to the collection (after fest we tend to check the collection less than before, so ofc we could have some delay in finding your fic if you don't notify us. Ao3 sends us emails when works are added but still, we wouldn't be checking it quite as often as when the fest is on).

This might be an extremely stupid question and I do apologize in advance!

I'd just like to know that if you submit prompts, and AO3 files that as your account signing up for the event, then does it mean that if you submit a prompt, you must automatically claim one yourself later and write a fic for the fest? Or is the signing up label for when you submit prompts just a technicality when you submit anonymously? Because I've submitted prompts but don't want any confusion if that automatically means I have to sign up to write as well.

Not to worry! When you submit prompts you do not have to automatically create for the fest too. Only by claiming one of our prompts you are signing up to create for the fest as well!

So you can submit however many prompts you like, with no further obligation
