i just want to thank each and every person that has checked on me over the last eleven days. life has been crazy and i’m still very much in denial over everything. the loss of my father has changed me fundamentally… however i have never felt more motivated to make a life for myself that he would he proud of. with that being said i would like to gain back some semblance of my former life. writing has always been my passion, my escape and a way for me to connect with others! so my blog will go back to normal as of today!

i will also be updating/posting some fics very soon:

It's been a positively hellish week for me, so writing on my Daemon x Wife!Reader oneshot - 𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐍𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐰 𝐒𝐞𝐚 - has been much slower than I would have liked. Buuut... here is a little (unedited, bleh) snippet of the fic to tide everyone over?

Honestly, I am utterly exhausted. I have been busting my ass for nearly two years to finish uni and working full time while also writing fic and making art, and now that I'm done with school, all of that exhaustion has finally caught up to me.

I'm so burned out from everything that my productivity is at an all-time low, including my motivation to write. I can barely even get myself to draw. The only thing I can summon the will to work on right now are commissions, and thats because I'm financially obligated to.

I have nothing left to give. Please stop pestering me for more.

I got injured at work

2nd degree burns on my fingertips that are beginning to blister. I touched a pan right out of the oven bc it wasn’t where it was supposed to be

I will have to get an extension on a paper that’s due Friday bc I cannot type right now or likely a few days

That being said, I can’t write either lol

I might be getting IYWBW chapter 3 out bc fen is writing the smut so I would just need to finish up the chapter but other than that, nothing until I can get the paper out and the other paper that’s coming up started

Which makes me sad bc I really wanted to write a Marc fic for Yom Kippur 🥺🥺

Now I gotta distract myself without writing for my fast which starts *checks watch* half an hour ago

Just a quick update, I'm writing the next chapter for arachnophilia rn and one or two extra shorts but that thing I was worried about happening has happened and I will be a little bit slower, I hope that's okay I mentioned this on my AO3 but I found out this week I now have arthritis in one toe on my right foot, which on its own would suck but its joining my entire lumbar spine having arthritis and my messed up hips so I'm in a bit of a state But I haven't forgotten about our boy Mig! I'll keep doing my best, I might just need extra time, thanks to everyone still reading <3

My honeybees,

I leave the country in five days. I am putting on my Valkyrie pants and hiking 120 miles through the Scottish Highlands alone in some very rugged terrain and like, hurricane gales. (Legit my idea of a fun vacation 😂) Wish me luck, I'm about to get destroyed and reforged as a human being.

I have been working hard to write fiendishly and provide updates to WIPS while I'm gone to ease suffering:

I might even complete an entire additional Darkgarden chapter post thru-hike because I'll be curled up in a cottage immobile as shit, drinking scotch for 4 days in the middle of nowhere. We'll see if I survive the blood rite or not first though.

A Quick Update Regarding My Fics

Recently, I locked down all of my fics on AO3 to registered users only. I did this mainly to prevent scraping for AI training datasets (for those of you who don't know, ChatGPT and other AI like it are being trained using massive amounts of stolen fanfiction).

I know this isn't ideal because there are lots of unregistered users who read my works, but this is something I felt necessary. I would highly recommend getting an account on AO3, even if you don't plan to post fics, because many other authors are also starting to do this.

That said, I'm going to try and accommodate those without accounts as best I can, so any Into The Deep chapter updates will be unlocked for the first 24 hours they are posted. This will hopefully give unregistered users the opportunity to read, while still protecting my works as much as possible.

I'm sorry that it's come to this, but at this point I wasn't sure what else to do.
