I’ve become interested in the figure of Edward Said, a Palestinian-American academic and activist who more or less coined the terms/studies/activism/etc of Orientalism and Post-Colonialism, both terms I find deeply important and which I apply to my leftist Zionism, something I’m sure he and his followers would strongly oppose. On that topic, I’m looking into some of his anti-Zionist (though I’m sure it’s more nuanced than that) work, both to broaden my perspective and because I’m much more willing to listen to a Palestinian who lived in historical Palestine before and after Israel’s establishment as opposed to a modern Westerner. I’ll admit, he has plenty of valid critiques of Zionism and movements he associates with it, though there are of course elements I disagree with. One point he made that really bothered me however (shown in the above linked screenshot) is, while comparing European Jewish Zionists to the Crusaders (partially valid but for the most part 😬) and the medieval European imagined environment of the land Jesus lived and died in as “denatured Palestine”; “after hundreds of years of living in Europe Zionist Jews could still feel that Palestine had stood in time and was theirs, again despite millennia of history and the presence of actual inhabitants.”
I agree the terra nullius mindset many Zionists and Zionist allies had (and sometimes still have, about history or the present to justify settlements, war, and discriminational policies) was awful and a horrific and regrettable way to begin Israel, but I really hate how Said just wastes no breath lumping Jews in with powerful European Christians and maybe subtly implying an acceptance that Jews are from there but ultimately just leaving it as “Tough tiddy, you’ve been gone too long, you should’ve stayed in your diaspora forever” with so little consideration that the Jews did not fit in Europe, nor could they survive there, and they needed some place their heritage was. Obviously this is just a manifestation, perhaps inspiration, for the notion that Jews don’t deserve return from diaspora, no matter the cost, but Palestinians do, and this not only a double standard but the first one is apparently the direct cause and justification for the second. Idk, I just wish Said would be a little more considerate or something.
That's the frustrating thing about Said. The man could write, and he would often home in on a decent, poignant comment - and then he would derail it with some ridiculous rabble-rousing bullshit about how Jews were the agents of European imperialism, or how Israel is constantly hoaxing archeology. He tried to pass himself off as a victimized Palestinian refugee, when he was born a privileged American citizen and spent his formative years in Cairo.
The Tumblr post you provided shows Said's frustration that people get so caught up in symbolic mythical Jerusalem that they forget or don't care it's an actual place where people live real lives. And that's a totally fair point! Co-signed! And then he ruins it by whitewashing Jewish history. His perspective that "before the Jews came, there were ACTUAL inhabitants there" is nothing less than a purported anti-colonialist / anti-imperialist giving an implicit endorsement of the Ottoman Empire. Which is less surprising when you remember he also gave EXPLICIT endorsement of the Ottoman Empire.
He was honest enough to admit that his preferred outcome for Palestine would put Jews in danger. I co-sign that too.

Solitaire : 1
Dano!Riddler • GN!Reader
Warnings : romantic plot devices , references to the yandere trope , delusional and toxic mindsets , stalking , obsessive behaviors , unrequited love , reader is g/n though is explicitly stated to have a boyfriend
He was a solitarius man, and you were an angel among a sea of demons. A beautiful budding rose in this jungle of corruption that dares even call itself a city. So many unworthy feet are at risk of stomping on your beauty, on your grace. Your savior, your soulmate, he will not let that happen. He knows what he must become for you.
Tumblr media
Envy was a burden like noneother. It weighes heavy upon the body, eating a person alive until nothing remains that can be scavenged. Edward was no stranger to it, as envy and desire is an emotion he is far more comfortable with than what would be considered normal. He envied the public school children as they ran out from that familiar primary colored building, jumping into open arms and walking hand and hand as their parents slung their small backpacks against their shoulders. He envied the people he would see dining inside the various places the city offered, speaking so happily, completely ignorant to what was truly going on around them.
But most of all, he seemed to envy the man that stood so confidently by your side at the cafe just a few hours ago.
Sitting alone in his disheveled apartment, he would shudder at the very memory of seeing you for the very first time. Love was an alien emotion to him, to put it bluntly. Analytical at heart, he never considered himself to be on the lower level of the ignorant masses, and would most definitely not ever think he'd spend so much time out of his day thinking of one of them in specific.
Though, there was something that struck his body, his brain, when you first locked eyes with him. To call it a spark would be an understatement. It was a Fourth of July celebration event, bright colors and intricate displays flashing so beautifully against his dimly lit sky, his heart sparkling with awe like a child would have done as if it was looking at the display for itself.
As the two of you waited in the crowded line of the cafe, he couldn't help but become absolutely star-struck.
Your appearance was no doubt alluring. You had a look of innocence to you, but not the kind Edward would usually show disgust towards. It was a different kind of innocence, an innocence that would make Edward shatter at his core if he ever saw be tainted. It was as clear as the human eye could see, you knew not of corruption, perversion or vice. The smile you gave him told a different narritive. Oh, how clear everything truly was. It was almost laughable.
No person, woman, man or otherwise, had before this very moment given him the attention he so desperately craved. You gave it so generously as well, gifting Edward with the blessing of hearing your honey-toned voice guide him throughout a casual conversation.
The conversation went from topic to topic, and Edward found there no other reason for that other than you simply being desperate to get your life story out of the way so you can truly begin your loving relationship with him.
Though, much to Edward's very own dismay, his solitude was looking as if it was to continue furthermore. There was another man in the picture, a "boyfriend" as you seemed to refer to him. An unfamiliar feeling of twisting and churning overtook his stomach as he desperately tried to dissociate from what you were telling him. A crack to his delusions is a crack to his psyche, and he almost audibly gasped as he watched the man make his way past the thick line, apologizing and commenting that his partner was waiting for him and saving him a spot. Their annoyance with the man seemed to dwindle after that, but Edward's rage did nothing but increase.
"Baby!" Your voice sang so sweetly, and Edward balled up his fists and ignored the tears threatening to generate from the pure agony of this newfound reality. How his ears rang at the sound of you calling another man such an affectionate pet name, and how he desired to hear you call that name and this time, have it be for him. You tried to introduce him, your "new friend" to your "lover" and you watched with a tilted head as the two men didn't even do as much as give each other a handshake.
Edward immediately grew to despise that man, but the feelings seemed to be mutual. Your boyfriend (captor, more accurately) seemed to be content with giving him a single yet final glare as he grabbed you by the hand, successfully whisping you away from your soulmate as he watched on in horror. Edward could have sworn the man mumbled something along the lines of, "let's go to a cafe that doesn't have a serial killer inside it", but it could have been a much more vile statement considering the pair of lips it was coming from.
He could see how he was able to manipulate you so easily. He had a charm to him that even Edward could pick up on, even with how he let that disguise slip at the sight of someone as intelligent and as sensible as Edward. He was genetically blessed with attractive features as well, and that didn't help Edward in the least bit. Sharp jawline, well-kept hair, well toned body, all with those strong arms that he gripped you so strongly with to match. His appetite was ruined and no longer had a desire to eat or drink anything the establishment had to offer him, and he made his way out the door a few seconds after the two of you first left.
It was an awful chain of events, and Edward wondered how a man could have been so cruel as to take away another man's lover.
Alas, such is the way of a vulture.
It snatches up whatever it can find that it knows it will get away with taking, and you, poor and innocent, just so happened to be in his line of sight at his time of scavenging. That disgusting pig of a man twisted your mind, that much so was obvious. If your mind wasn't horrible distorted, then what else was stopping you from jumping right into his arms the moment the two of you met. The red string that connected the two of you was as tight as ever, and there's no doubt you couldn't feel the grip of his love wrap around your pinkie so tight it would cut off your circulation.
He sighed as he stepped out into the summer atmosphere, the air conditioned building no longer a shield from the heat. He squinted at two people that seemed to be getting into a car, and his eyes widened despite the protests of the shining sun.
There it was, the gold mine.
The beautiful sight of the two of you, stepping in a car with it's license plate nice and clear. He couldn't tell if it was your car or his until he saw that pig enter the driver's side, but he was far more focused on the plate. His key to the gate that was to be his own redemption. His road to glory.
His chance to redeem himself for letting that monster abduct you lay right in that precious set of metal. It will no doubt lead Edward right to your abuser. He will rid your world of that man, and then, he can truly make himself and his love known to you.
His eyes twinkled and shone as he burned the information into his head. Each letter and number acting as his own very call to action. He won't let you down.
7H1 - 8714.
He'll dress that number in perfectly drawn hearts in a brand new journal, the page right across from it detailing his grand plan. His next course of action was ready to be set into motion. All he has to do is tear that leech from your leg, and then the two of you can live happily. He loves you, he loves you, he could scream to the mountain tops, telling the world of how he loves you. He failed you at the cafe, too tongue tied over such a beautiful human being to warn them about the incoming wolf. He failed you, but he can make up for that.
7H1 - 8714, oh 7H1 - 8714. Such a perfectly crafted combination. He can't wait for it to open the curtains to his first public appearance. He'll immortalize himself, immortalize you. The world will know forevermore a story of your struggles, your perils, and most importantly, your love.
He can see it now, he wonders if you can see it too.

Finally got a mini fic Idea....HAHAHAHA
Outcast had already been concealing the already darkening sky. Nightfall soon approached as the sun hid away, as it had always done, with the continuous game of cat and mouse with the moon. In the shady streets of Chicago full of, glass shards, homeless beggars, and sketchy street salesmen, there Charles Lee Ray and Eddie Caputo had been carrying a relatively large garbage back, cautiously navigating their way through the ally way. Eddie nearly stepped on a cat's tail, the feline's tail chewed, and pink rotting flesh exposed at its tip.
"In There" Chucky pointed to an abandoned home that had been falling apart and had been condemned for years. The people in the area eventually forget about the home and left it there to decay.
"You sure Chuck? What if someone...ya know...finds it "files us for littering" I heard jail time for "littering" is getting serious these days"
Chucky raised a brow at Eddie batting an annoyed eye roll, at his friend's phrasing of the particular topic and his pestering.
"Relax Ed" He reassured, blowing a stary strand of hair out of his face.
"We're only gonna leave it here for a couple of days...there we'll burn the "trash" and be done with it"
Eddie gave a silent nod and stepped upward hoisting the bag up into his grasp, as he felt it begin to slip. They two friends stepped into the abandoned home and hesitated for a brief moment feeling a floor bored creak beneath their feet.
"We're fine keep moving Ed"
Eddie responded with another nod and continued on finding a free empty space beneath the stairwell.
"Right here's good"
Chuck shrugged his shoulders, bending down, helping shove the body into the opening, only to jolt backward, crawling until his back hit the paint-peeled wall. His face bewildered at what he had just saw. His cornflower blue eyes fixated wide open, with a hint of fear glistening in his iris. Eddie had gotten caught completely off guard by his friends seemingly dramatic reaction. But this was Chucky, what could possibly scare him? Once this thought entered Eddie's mindset, the curly haired brunette too began to grow fearful.
"WHAT! WHAT THE HELL DID YOU SEE"
"..."
"CHUCKY SPEAK! SAY SOMETHING"
"..."
Eddie's face contorted into immense confusion, as he turned his head to see what the hell his friend saw. He took a few steps toward the stairwell, peaking his head over, to see a small clump of fur poke out at him. With a small twitching nose, and two small beady eyes.
"Oh it's a rat....wait...don't tell me this...THIS is what freaked you out Chucky...."
"Shut the fuck up Ed"
Snickering at an idea that popped into his head, Ed nudged the rodent toward his best friend, as was shocked to see how fast the rat darted over to Chuck, and even more amazed at how Chucky could climb up a wall.
"Edward...get it away from me...Now"
It took everything in his power to prevent a scream from escaping his lips, as he watched the rat try and scurry up the wall.
"EDDIE"
Ed frowned but obeyed, and shooed the rodent away from his best friend, silently giggling about the whole incident.
"Not a word"
"B--"
"NOT A WORD ABOUT THIS"
"Alright Jeez"

The first time I stepped into a biology lab, I dreamed of becoming a scientist.
Throughout high school, everything was an accessory to biology. A solid understanding of math was required for any career in science, AP history classes would allow me to focus on more relevant topics in college, even speech and debate would help me present my research one day in a coherent manner. Everyone assumed that my Latin classes were the same way — to learn scientific terminology. And I leaned into it; whenever anyone would ask about Latin, that was my reasoning.
But it wasn’t the truth.
The truth was far more bizarre: the truth was that I didn’t know why I was learning Latin. I simply fell in love with the poetry, the culture, even the grammar. It was my Achilles’ heel — the one weak point of my impenetrable scientific mindset.
When it came time to decide my major for college, it was a no-brainer. Biology… with a second major in Latin. Of course, everyone had something to say about it. The Latin was just a break, a distraction from hard sciences. A major full of easy, useless courses that are only tangentially related to biology.
What I hadn’t realized was that biology and Latin are two sides of the same coin. Throughout my time in college, I was engrossed in stories of the triumphs of the human experience. The creation of Vergil’s Aeneid and the creation of Edward Jenner’s vaccine existed in tandem. I drew the same arrows diagramming chemical reactions as when I was deconstructing sentences of Juvenal. Learning about the complement cascades mirrored stories of ancient heroes in war: all implementing precise techniques to defeat a common enemy.
So, why do I study Latin when I’m planning to become a scientist? I know the answer quite well now. Because I love discovery. Because the process of turning mRNA into proteins is translation, in its purest form. Because the devastation of Aeneas’ troops showed me that I could bounce back after my experiments failed. Because it isn’t an accessory to biology, but a core tenet of who I am.
The final time I stepped out of a Latin class, I knew that I wanted to be a scientist. What else could I do after learning what it means to live?

Year in Review: Movies Part 1
I don't have that great of an attention span. If its something I am invested in I can spend hours upon hours reading or playing through it until I get a headache telling me its time for bed, but if something doesn't hook me after around 30 minutes I'm probably turning it off or putting it down for a bit. It is for this reason I don't finish a lot of movies unless there is another reason to watch through it all. Usually that means watching it with other people. If there aren't friends to help me finish this movie it's probably going back in the case, which I think is true for all but one movie on this list.
Glass Onion
Knives Out is one of my favorite movies of all time. I've not read any of Agatha Christie's works which is who Benoit Blanc is largely parodying, but I do love other things inspired by her such as Columbo, and the first movie is a stellar deconstruction of that genre, while still providing an engaging mystery. I saw this movie's baby brother at the dawn of the New Year alongside my cousin, both fervently pushing out trope appropriate theories only to be completely wrong at the twist ending in plain sight.
This sequel is not anything as elegant as the first, but still seeks to deconstruct mystery tropes in a very similar fashion. The mastermind behind a series of murders or even one murder is a role often given to rich, suave, and intelligent people of high standing. It is this role that Edward Norton's character sees himself as, but while he is a rich dude of high standing, he is a more realistic rich dude than most murder mystery antagonists; that is, an arrogant dumbass who got where he is by manipulating and screwing over everyone he can. He wants to be complex while being transparently simple. Also he smells. LIKE AN ONION. WHOA. ONE MADE OUT OF GLASS. THANKS JOHN LEMON.
A Silent Voice
A good way to get me to watch a movie until the end is to make it animated, that way even if its boring as all hell I still get to look at some pretty art. That's not the case with this movie. I first watched this on a bus ride when I was sixteen with one earphone on while the girl next to me held it up on her phone. That was a good memory, but seeing the gorgeous animation on the big screen was a nice treat.
I love the dynamic between the two main characters. I wouldn't say this movie is a romance in any real sense of the term, but is about a relationship. Both of these kids spend most of their adolescence admonishing themselves for hurting the other, believing everyone hates them for what happened when they were 10. This is especially tragic for Shouko, the deaf girl who did literally nothing besides exist and try to make friends. The fact that she blames herself for her bully becoming ostracized is even played as a twist, but its a very realistic mindset anyone can fall into. The theme is forgiveness of the self after others have already forgiven you, which can be pretty tough to do, especially when you've done some genuinely shitty stuff.
I also showed this movie to my mom, an ASL instructor and translator, cause I thought it might be interesting for her, but she lost interest and fell asleep after she realized it was JSL and couldn't understand it.
Puss in Boots: The Last Wish
My friends were freaking out about this film, one of them going so far as to watch it like six separate times within the span of a couple weeks. This made me expect it to blow my mind, but it was just a very well written, beautifully animated movie about a cat coming to terms with its own death. I think the drought of movies with good writing from mainstream studios really elevated this one further than it would have normally. It was nice to return to this character, having grown up with the Shrek films, and doubly nice to see his character arc being used to discuss a serious topic in a healthy way.
The central conflict is the most compelling aspect of the story, the John Mulaney villain and Goldilocks subplot are funny and entertaining, but the effectiveness of Death as the main antagonist is genius. The Shrek universe has always been a conglomeration of fairytales and folktales brought to one setting, and who is most common death metaphor than the big bad wolf? Or I'm sorry. Not a metaphor. He's just Death. Straight up. You don't outrun death or win against it in any meaningful capacity, and the story could only end with Puss' acceptance that he will die. There's no Sisypussing his way out of this one. Pussyphusing? Pfft.
X-Men: First Class
My dad and I decided to watch through every X-Men movie earlier this year. We managed two of them. They're good movies, most of them at least, but marathoning all *looks at watch* eleven films just never came to fruition. This one might be in my top 3 for X-Men movies, though. Xavier and Magneto's relationship has always been the most interesting part of these films, and this movie puts it front and center. Xavier's focus on helping his friend make peace with his traumatic past is something so genuinely sweet that ultimately empowers his greatest enemy. It's this understanding they have with each other, established in this movie, that underlines every interaction they have in the future.
The rest of this movie is pretty standard origin story stuff for the ensemble cast. How the Beast Became Blue. How Mystique Stopped Pretending and Became Her True Blue Self. How the Guy Who's Power is To Never Die, Died. It's fun for what it is but overall pretty generic.
X-Men: Days of Future Past
This is also one of the better X-Men films, not sure if I'd put it in the top 3, but there's enough time travel nonsense in this movie to make me giddy. I love paradoxical bullshit. This movie works as both a direct sequel to First Class, while also working in the continuity of the first 7 or so films. It's the Apocalypse, baby! Okay, not that Apocalypse, I still haven't seen that one, but we are introduced to one of the more famous fascist genocidal hellscapes to come out of Marvel comics. The story starts at the very end of this murderous crusade, only a handful of mutants are still alive, grouped together as a unit in some abandoned... temple bunker? I'm sure this is explained somewhere in the movie, but it makes a cool setting to fight for your life in.
Most of the plot, however, takes place in the 70s. It was a big twist in the comics that the girl who can walk through space without hindrance can also walk through time the same way, but in this movie Kitty Pryde can only send other people into their past selves, meaning it's once again Wolverine's turn to take the spotlight, because Hugh Jackman is more expensive than Elliot Page. It makes less sense, but this movie still has a lot of fun jumping between the past and future versions of established characters. Angry, passionate Magneto in his 30s vs the wizened Sir Ian McKellen Magneto. At some point the X Man himself gets to talk directly to his depressed, 70s incarnation. Not to mention Quicksilver is there, which is always nice.
This was the "Rogue Cut," which adds cut content about Rogue infiltrating a sentry factory to blow it up. The new stuff doesn't add a lot, but I did like her character from earlier films, so it was cool to see her again.
Shrek
After the joy of obsessing over Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, one of my friends insisted that we all catch up on the deep lore of the franchise, and go through every Shrek movie in order. Unlike with X-Men, we succeeded in one marathon through them all. The dude who suggested this also made the assertion that PiB: Wish was the first Shrek film to feature blood and cursing. This is patently false and I took immense pleasure in proving him wrong. *whispers* Shrek says ass within the first twenty minutes, don't tell mom!
The first movie got memed on quite a bit, but I think most people have come around to enjoying it in a genuine sense. It's a cute love story with a good message and funny fard jokes. I don't think the gross-out humor really oversteps in bounds, and it would feel pretty bizarre in hindsight if a movie like Shrek ever toned that stuff down. There were a lot of movies with "fairytales come to life and their rude and goofy," as their premise, (think Hoodwinked, another fun movie) but I think the style of the Shrek world comes off in the most endearing way. Or maybe that's just nostalgia talking.
Shrek 2
I have the soundtrack of this movie embedded into my skull. I had the CD growing up and would make my mom play it in the car on the way to primary school ad nauseum. I also had the entire movie with incredibly compressed graphics on my GBA. This classic film is synonymous with my early childhood, and it holds up really well. It's shorter than I remembered, but I think that's just because it's so expertly paced.
It also introduces our favorite fearless hero, who blends effortlessly into the main cast. All of the character's play off of each other really well, actually. The gags of a royal knight planting catnip on Puss or Gingy yelling "IT'S A THONG" to get Pinocchio to lie still get me. Not to mention the perfect fight scene scored by "I Need a Hero." Every studio with rights to that song have been chasing that high ever since.
Shrek the Third
Some people hate this movie with genuine vile and malice in their hearts. Maybe that's harsh. It definitely doesn't match the highs of either of the first two, but I still enjoyed it a lot as a kid and had a good time with it now. My friend noted that the first half of this film has a lot of funny gags that peter out in the second half, where the focus is on Shrek's complicated feelings on fatherhood. There are moments in the movie where I can tell it can't decide whether to write a scene with appropriate drama or make a stupid joke, which is odd as the first one balanced those aspects pretty elegantly.
This movie does have a sequence where the classic fairytale princesses learn martial arts from Julie Andrews and kick the bark covered asses of the trees from Wizard of Oz, all to the beat of Barracuda. Disney could never. I also like that Prince Charming takes a more central role as antagonist in the story this time around, which feels very appropriate for the setting. Justin Timberlake is here too I guess. Damn, I forgot about him. Sorry Justin.
Shrek the Final Chapter
This movie came out when I believed myself toooo olllllllld and MATURE for silly animated movies with farting in them. I had grown, and was ready for stuff like *looks at movies that came out 2010* MEGAMIND, an even sillier animated movie with still probably several fart jokes. I had a bunch of reasons for disliking this one when it came out, but I don't really recall any of them. This movie is pretty wild upon revisiting. Shrek pulls a It's a Wonderful Life with Rumpelstiltskin and is pulled into an alternate universe fanfiction where he never existed, joins an Ogre resistance and tries to get his wife to fall in love with him again. It's such a goofy premise with some fairly well constructed dramatic moments. It's also very good 3D animation for its time, which might be consistent with the rest of the series.
There's a scene where Rumpelstiltskin jumps off a ledge and makes a weird noise that I cannot for the life of me find on youtube, but it sticks in my brain for some reason. He's a pretty fun villain, overall, all of his scenes made me laugh. I think we watched the other Puss in Boots movie after this, but I fell asleep. Sorry Justin.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife
This franchise got reimagined with a new cast a few years ago, and for some reason became a controversial focus of American politics for several weeks. I mean not for some reason, it was really just sexism. Women? Fighting ghosts??? Only men fight ghosts in real life, everyone knows that. This movie, on the other hand, is a direct sequel to the original film and also didn't come out during an election year, so even though Girls do be Fighting Ghosts in this one, there was less outrage around it. It's a fun homage to the original, but doesn't acknowledge the original Ghostbusters 2 in the least, and that movie genuinely freaked me out as a kid with its pink slime that kills you.
The film focuses on the very autistic granddaughter of the late and famously autistic member of the original cast, Egon. She's a delightful protagonist throughout the story, working with the ghost of her grandfather to uncover the truth behind the natural disasters plaguing her Podunk town. There are also some fun new ghost designs our child heroes have to overcome. The supporting cast is serviceable, mostly focused around Finn Wolfhard and Paul Rudd's eternal struggle to get dates before the world is eaten by Gozer, or whoever. There's a lot of nostalgia bait in this movie. The OG Ghostbusters even make a Deus Ex Machina style cameo, saving Baby Egon at the last moment aside a CGI Harold Ramis that did get me to tear up a little. This whole movie was dedicated to him, which is sweet.
Kingdom Hearts: Back Cover
Remember when I said I was done talking about Kingdom Hearts for this year? No? You haven't been reading these? That's okay, I was lying anyway. As part of my full bodily integration into this series, I watched the entirety of the KH Union X Cutscenes interspersed with clips from the Back Cover movie in order of the proper timeline of events. This is probably the sanest way to experience this story. The original has you play a mobile game where you are updated on the plot every ten or so boring ass missions and then watch the movie as a companion piece. It's a pretty engaging narrative by KH standards, but its told in the most batshit way possible, which I guess is also up to KH standards. You can watch it here, if the embeds work:
youtube
The first part of this story focuses on a member of the Keyblade Guilds, who is slowly encroaching upon the reality that the organization they're apart of is tearing itself apart. All of the Guild Masters are in conflict over a potential traitor, and this suspicion eventually spirals into an entire war. The Master of these Masters, or MoM, is largely implied to have orchestrated the entire event. The second half focuses on the fallout from that war as the surviving Guild members try to escape the end of the world.
I got pretty attached to several of the characters and their ultimate fate, but I think this could have worked better as a TV show rather than a REALLY BORING MOBILE GAME. I guess you can watch it as a TV show, if you watch the video above in 30 minute chunks, and if you're okay with beautiful 3D animated cutscenes transitioning into kind of stale sprite art at random.
Alright ending this here. I didn't finish this on Friday as I had some other Things going on, so we're in for a double feature! Hopefully, I'll continue on the games list which will be out this evening. I'm writing these ahead of time so who knows???

What are the relationships between the Slenderbrothers in your AU?
I’ll keep this one short(ish) since Slenderman has like hundreds of siblings in my AU so I’ll focus on the main 4 (Keep in mind that I use my own version of Offender that isn’t a r*p*st, he’s just sex positive and consensual)
They kinda go their own lanes but they are still allies to each other and help out when needed however Slender and Splendy are closer together since they spent their childhoods together
For Slender (aka Edward), his siblings are suitable enough allies to help him out. Splendy (aka James) is kind of an odd topic for Slender if asked specifically about why Splendy seems upset when bringing up why he left him alone (topic for another post-) in their childhood. They still have a kinda positive relationship though Splendy wishes that they would meet up when it isn’t always business related.
Slender tolerates Trender (aka Francis) fairly well especially since he gave him permission to have Jane as a model for his fashion lines. Trender and Slender have always been pretty neutral with each other but Slender would be lying if he said that Trender wasn’t a bit pushy
Slender doesn’t personally like how Offender (aka Antonio) lives his life but he acknowledges the fact that Offender has a lot of connections and his territories make good hiding spaces from enemies factions. Slender used to underestimate him sometimes due to Offender being the youngest of the 4 but he came to learn that he’s more capable than he seems
Splendy and Trender do get along but Trender is a bit nick picky when it comes to critiquing Splendy and the rest of the Happypasta’s fashion sense, it does kinda hurt Splendy’s feelings but he knows he means well. Trender also can’t help but sometimes comment on the fact that Splendy seems kinda in denial about his inherent instincts as a Slender Operator. Despite this, Splendy goes to Trender if he needs someone to talk
Trender and Offender have an interesting dynamic. Trender is quite headstrong but so is Offender so they often clash. Offender would give him some questionable commissions that not even Trender would take. Sometimes those commissions are genuine and sometimes he just likes to troll him. Long story short, Offender likes to mess with him since it’s easy to get Trender riled up but they know to put things aside when it’s serious matters
Offender and Splendy…oh boy. Splendy has a childish mindset that he has to love his family because it’s his family and that is the case for Offender as well. However, he prefers that he stays away from the Happypastas given his lifestyle and how he presents himself. Offender thinks that Splendy is a bit of a wet blanket, he wants him to loosen up but his attempts have failed

Stede Bonnet has never understood the excitement behind sex. His few encounters with those sorts of physical exploits had been uncomfortable, stilted, at times mildly distressing. He doesn't quite understand why his crew are all so obsessed with the topic. And he certainly doesn’t understand why they’re making him feel the way he’s feeling. And least of all he understands is Edward, or more aptly, the thoughts he’s been having of him.

I feel like my view on the world and myself has been so tainted from since I was young. I'm struggling and I wanna start over but idk how. I wannwanna be a completely different person. Life now feels like someone's description of a painful past. I wanna get out but I have a fear of being trapped here and not knowing like my limiting and toxic beliefs are stopping and I'd never know and end up spending all my time here. I really don't want that, it's my biggest fear. Can you give me advice pls?
hey babe <3
i jus wanna let you know all of your feelings are valid and thank you for being open w me. from what i can tell, you have a fear of failing and staying in the same position. i wanna address this before i tell you what to do. all fear is, is a false construct of reality. because you can choose your own reality, you can either choose to make a rule that fear doesn’t effect you at all (bc it can’t, you will always win) or manifest a life without being fearful. here is a pic abt this topic from r/Neville Goddard that goes into this in loa terms:
Tumblr media
(and btw you don’t need to be happy to manifest what you want) my second point is, forgive yourself for the things that have happened in your past. you were always trying your best with what you had, there’s nothing wrong with that. stop judging yourself, catch yourself if you ruminate about your past and cut yourself off. not because you can’t think about it, but bc you deserve to live in the present moment, for your own peace. from there, you can decide whether or not you want to revise the situation to always having your dream life or you can just choose to accept it and move on. i know it may feel hard to move on now but you can make all of this much easier on yourself by setting the intention for life to be easier. also, you can never be stuck because we’re all just observing states of consciousness. we’re always moving through the motions; there’s a really good edward art video that explains this exact situation too. (i highly recommend watching, this totally changed my mindset towards my anxiety.)
okay, onto my last point, how to change your self concept and life. i actually wanna make a whole post on this but im just gonna tell you what i think you could do for your situation. you don’t have to do all of these things but just choose what works best for you c: so where i would start is with addressing self concept/ mental health. catch up with yourself, do some self care and take it slow. ask yourself what you want in life, maybe get a mental picture of what you would like to become as a person. if you don’t know what you want in life, note the things you enjoy everyday and it will come naturally. (or you can always manifest finding out what your desired life is) every moment is a new moment, you have a blank slate every passing second to choose who you want to be. so, start imagining yourself as the person you want to become. nothing is stopping you from being that person now. you don’t have to feel like it right now, you only have to intend/ think it. the rest will follow. any thoughts that say the opposite are completely invalid because now you know that only you can choose what you are. (no thoughts have power until you say they do!) so, onto the manifesting a new life part. first, pick which way you want to manifest. you can use subs, affirmations, knowing/ intention, scripting, void, etc. the techniques don’t matter, your intent and beliefs do. and then just stay consistent to it, don’t give up on your dream life because you deserve the best. that’s literally it! and i would always recommend to simplify it, make it as fun as possible, and make your own rules :D good luck anon, you got this!!

Omg wow we are getting a lot of content these days! I was wondering what you think of Alice since she seems to be everyone’s favorite and extremely op
Lmao thanks anon, appreciate it 😊 also before i get into what I think about Alice, did anyone else notice that any asks have the erase and answer button dangerously close to eachother? I was so scared and careful to not erase anything
Okay on to my opinions 😬
People only like Alice because she was either their sexual awakening and that’s thanks to Ashley Greene 😍 or they like their own headcanons of her.
Sorry. Okay now for the explanation. Alice is next to Edward one of the worst Cullens.
Alice is a bad friend
And no one wants to admit it. Several times throughout the books she shows us how little she actually cares about Bella. We know Bella hates attention and what does Alice do force her to have a birthday party. Bella hates weddings and after she agrees to marry Edward wants to Elope? Alice guilt trips Bella and tells her she doesn’t even love her because she won’t let her throw her Bella a wedding. Bella wants to see Jacob? Alice keeps her hostage in exchange for a Porsche, which she can buy her self btw. She also knows that the day Edward and Bella breathe on eachother for four hours in the meadow that Bella might not make it out of there, she still encourages Edward to go because she wants Bella to be her Barbie doll friend. Actually on that note, in midnight sun we find out there’s a bigger chance Bella becomes a happy meal to Edward but if she makes it they’ll be great friends which is why she encourages Edward to talk to her in the first place
Alice’s Gift is only a Plot Point
I know there’s at least one person who won’t accept this but oh well. But seriously her gift works solely for Bella’s story. She can’t see the wolves because she was never a one of them, same with Renasberry, right? Wrong. She was able to see James coming to eat her when she was a human, she’d never been a vampire. On the topic of the wolves, would Bella never leave Jacobs side after that? Like she should have been able to see Bella at some point in the future because she wasn’t with Jacob at every second of the day.
Also her gifts work if she’s looking for a certain person or said person affects her in some way. The whole point that the volturi need Alice doesn’t make sense because she would have to focus on every vampires intention to hurt the volturi and as we see in breaking dawn it’s exhausting to be constantly searching so she’d be kind of useless. Not to mention the decision to attack the volturi could very well be random and it would be too late before she saw it coming because she can’t se last minute decisions, which is why she didn’t see Bella going off to the ballet studio in the first book.
Supposedly she used her visions to find the safest option for her to survive, which should be the volturi honestly so that doesn’t really track. Alice is just molded into whatever SMeyer needs at that moment and it’s usually for Bella’s sake.
I’m sorry but she not a good person
I mean other than how she treats Bella. Homegirl was the first one to throw the dog insult to Jacob (not getting into how SMeyers treatment of the wolfpack was so racist it’s unbelievable people still defend her). She tells Bella that werewolves aren’t safe when her husband literally slurped Bella up like a capri sun a few months prior on her birthday.
The first thing she does when she wakes up is literally have a vision of Jasper and she says, “ooh a confederate? That’s the one for me.” And before any one comes for me and says she changed him canonically SMeyer has said that the mindset they died in is the mindset they have so fuck off he’s still racist and he was proud to be a confederate in eclipse, and yes I headcanon him differently because I love Jackson Rathborne. Anyways back to Alice…
She uses her gift to manipulate everything. There’s one point in the books where she’s says that she knows something because “she’s seen it” and Bella can’t tell if she’s just saying that because there’s no way to know and she knows she can just say that and people will believe her. She issues her gift to have an endless supply of money that she uses so no one in the Cullens wears the same thing twice. I’m sorry but do you know how wasteful that is? Not to mention that would be so suspicious even if she did donate them, which would jeopardize the Cullens. She has all of this money and does absolutely no good with it, I can’t stand her.
They e been around so many years you would think they would invest in a lab to make some kind of synthetic blood but she doesn’t actually care about people, as stated above when she was risking Bella’s life on the off chance she gets a friend. And she knew she would have to go with the Cullens so she tried the veggie diet on and off not because she cared about humans but because she needed the Cullens protection as a coven.
Also Alice and her love of shopping and parties, if Alice had been juman Bella would have HATED her. Jessica likes the same things but she’s villanized because that’s superficial and shallow. Alice is Jessica in vampire form but everyone loves Alice because she’s quirky and fun and buys stuff for Bella that Bella doesn’t want.
I will absolutely add more to this but this is all that comes to mind at the moment.

Blog 6: History Through Nature Interpretation
Hi everyone! Welcome back to my sixth blog post this semester! Today we will be talking about history through nature interpretation, and how you can utilize aspects such as words, pictures, or sights to bring together pieces of the past to tell a story.
In the course content, we were given a simple but powerful quote that relates to today's topic. It states, "There is no particular merit in ancient things, but there is merit in integrity, and integrity entails a knowledge, a memory of ancient things... To think, feel, or act as though the past is done with, is equivalent to believing that a railway station through which our train has just passed, only existed for as long as our train was in it." This is a quote by Edward Hyams in Chapter 7 of his book, The Gifts of Interpretation. To fully understand it and grasp its meaning, you might have to read it a few times over and really marinate with the words. To me, I felt that each word was chosen here with a specific purpose to send an overall message, which I am going to interpret for you today. This will give you my overall take-home thoughts of this quote, but yours might be completely different, and I'd love to hear your thoughts if this is the case.
I love the first line of the post which states that "there is no particular merit in ancient things." This might bring about the question, why do they hold so much value then? I think that this is incredibly important thing to point out because if you think about an ancient object, such as a vase or a bowl, it really has no specific value. The value associated with it can only be appreciated when you take into account its history. Not knowing that this specific object was created by humankind, our ancestors, would make it almost meaningless. However, when you take into account the effort that was put into making it, the time it was made, and how long it has been preserved for, it gives you an almost out of body and grounding experience. Our ancestors did not have ovens or kilns to set the pottery, they had to find other ways to build these vases. Indigenous groups in particular were nomads, they travelled from place to place over their lives. They couldn't carry an entire vase with them, and so they would have to create the again and again, showing the effort that went into each one. Therefore, this line which says that this merit can only be appreciated when you have the knowledge or memories of ancient things is truly accurate here because you cannot appreciate something unless you understand the entire story behind it.
To bring all of these concepts together, the author provides a simile which says that thinking the past is not connected to who and what we are today is the same as thinking that the train station your train passes through only exists when you are there, and ceases to exist when you are not. I think that this really drives home his message because not acknowledging our history and the steps past people took in advancements of science, medicine, and art is a disservice to those people. We would not be here today for some of the discoveries made in our past, and ignoring this is a limiting mindset to our advancements today.
Overall, I think that this quote brings to light the fact that knowing our history is an important aspect of nature interpretation. People go about their lives not understanding the history behind the land they live on. There is so much history associated with every aspect of our lives, and knowing, appreciating, and learning about this is the first step to nature interpretation.

Introduction to the Brief | What is the Six Thinking Hat Methodology?
"In 1985, Dr. Edward de Bono introduced the concept of six distinct 'hats' that represent different modes of thinking. The purpose behind separating these thinking roles is to create a comprehensive collection of viewpoints, enabling more effective problem-solving and concept exploration. As part of this project, you will create six short 5-second motion graphics, each starting from one of the thinking modes. Choose a single topic to explore across all six films, and then combine them into a compelling 30-second piece, showcasing the power of these thinking modes."
To start off the project, I first looked into what the “Thinking Hats” are to understand the concept.
Understanding the Six Thinking Hats: Dr. Edward de Bono's Six Thinking Hats methodology provides a structured framework that facilitates holistic thinking and encourages diverse perspectives. The purpose of separating the different roles of thought is to unlock a range of viewpoints, resulting in more comprehensive problem-solving and concept exploration.
Red Hat - Feeling
White Hat - Facts
Black Hat - Negatives
Yellow Hat - Positives
Blue Hat - Process
Green Hat - Creativity
To explain this a bit further,
Red Hat - Feeling: The Red Hat represents the mode of thinking that focuses on emotions, intuitions, and subjective responses. When wearing the Red Hat, individuals are encouraged to express their feelings and gut reactions towards a particular idea or situation. It allows for considering the emotional aspects and personal perspectives without the need for logical justification.
White Hat - Facts: The White Hat represents objective and neutral thinking based on factual information. When wearing the White Hat, individuals gather and analyze data, facts, and information relevant to the topic at hand. This mode of thinking relies on evidence, logic, and empirical observations to arrive at well-informed decisions and conclusions.
Black Hat - Negatives: The Black Hat represents critical thinking and caution. When wearing the Black Hat, individuals analyze potential risks, drawbacks, and weaknesses associated with a specific idea, plan, or solution. It helps identify potential pitfalls, obstacles, or unfavorable outcomes, allowing for realistic assessments and necessary adjustments.
Yellow Hat - Positives: The Yellow Hat signifies optimistic and positive thinking. When wearing the Yellow Hat, individuals explore the benefits, value, and positive aspects of a proposed solution or idea. It encourages looking for the potential advantages, opportunities, and favorable outcomes, promoting constructive thinking and a proactive approach.
Blue Hat - Process: The Blue Hat represents meta-cognition and facilitation. It serves as the coordinating and managing hat for the thinking process. When wearing the Blue Hat, individuals guide and structure the discussion, set goals, establish the thinking framework, and ensure effective utilization of the other thinking hats. It focuses on the overall process and orchestrates the thinking session.
Green Hat - Creativity: The Green Hat symbolizes creativity and innovation. When wearing the Green Hat, individuals tap into imaginative and exploratory thinking. It encourages generating new ideas, exploring alternative perspectives, and thinking beyond conventional boundaries. The Green Hat fosters a mindset of curiosity, originality, and finding novel solutions.
.
.
Task To showcase the power of these thinking modes, we will create six short 5-second motion graphics, each representing a specific hat. The graphics will visually convey the essence of each thinking mode, engaging viewers and encouraging them to embrace different perspectives.
Choosing a Topic:
For the purpose of this project, we will select a single topic to explore across all six motion graphics. This focused approach will allow us to demonstrate how the Six Thinking Hats can be applied consistently to gain a comprehensive understanding of a specific subject. And these are the topics that we were provided with in the brief:
Tidal forces
Identity
Insects
Fungus
Compassion
Body Image
Ageing
Artificial intelligence
Now that I understand the Six Thinking Hats methodology, I will start thinking about what topic I want to choose in the upcoming posts.

How To Avoid Being Creative
Tumblr media
Creativity is a hot topic these days. Everybody is talking about it, writing about it, studying it. It’s such a pervasive topic, that it’s getting hard to avoid. But still, there’s hope: The best way I’ve found to avoid being creative is to spend all your time reading books on creativity. Here’s a video in which I explain exactly how to do that:
youtube
Here are links to books I don’t recommend in the video, but are actually really great and well worth reading:
The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron
Out Of Our Minds by Ken Robinson
Comedy Writing Secrets by Mel Helitzer & Mark Shatz
Here’s another good one I meant to mention, but forgot:
Stand Up Comedy: The Book by Judy Carter
I really can’t vouch for these books personally since they went back to the library unread; but they have nice covers and are probably worth a look:
How To Have Creative Ideas by Edward de Bono
The Creativity Formula by Amantha Imber
Make Your Creative Dreams Real by Sark
Cracking Creativity by Micheal Michalko
Patterns Of Creativity by Kevin Brophy
The Complete Idiot’s Guide To Comedy Writing by James Mendrinos

what is design thinking
Well, it’s a big topic but let me get you started. Let us start with the basics. What is design? And, of course, what is thinking?
One by one. Ok. Design is defined as how something is planned, made, or created. Design also means inventing, scheming, or developing something for a particular purpose. As the father of lateral thinking, Edward De Bono, says: “Design the way forward when a solution cannot be found using traditional ways of thinking.”
“Design is not what it looks like and feels like. Design is how it works.” — Steve Jobs.
Design is to bring something to life which doesn’t exist yet. It may or may not be there in your mind as a seed, a tiny idea, or something fresh altogether. Design involves creativity and going beyond the boundaries of traditional thinking—jumping out of the barriers of routine thinking.
Now, let us learn what is thinking. Thinking is a process unique to humans in which you deliberately think about something. Sitting down or even while moving, you intentionally put your inside your mind.
“I want to think on this before making a decision,” you might say.
Thinking comes in various flavors: lateral thinking, parallel thinking, creative thinking (as invented and pioneered by thought scientist and Oxford scholar Dr. Edward De Bono), traditional thinking, and critical thinking.
“Nothing is either good or bad, but thinking makes it so,” as observed by the master of literature, Shakespeare. That’s true since you can quickly get your emotions mixed up in thinking, behaving, or thinking emotionally.
With these basic definitions out of the way now, we could try and define design thinking. Design thinking is “applying thinking to design something,” “thinking in terms of design and visuals,” or “combining the powers of thinking and design to create something.”
Design thinking has been around since the 1950s and is used in various industries. It’s been applied to Finance, Education, Retail, Technology, Insurance, Manufacturing, Healthcare, and much more. The process of Design Thinking goes by various other names:
User Research
User-Centered Design
Concepting
Story mapping
Usability Testing
Design thinking—more than a process, is a mindset to develop or improvise products and services. It involves a lot of creative thinking, designs (maps/prototypes/samples/visuals), and collecting input from end users at every stage.
The process is followed in a variety of ways, but here is a high-level breakdown: You could easily remember it with the acronym: EDIPT
Empathy: (For whom do you want to solve which problem?)
Define: (What do you want to solve or create?)
Ideate: (Which ideas could solve the problem at hand?)
Prototype: (What exactly could be the solution?)
Test: (What do users think about your solution?)
“Creativity is seeing what others see and thinking what no one else ever thought.” — Albert Einstein.
Now that we know what design is and what thinking is, let us look at a couple of benefits of the design thinking process:
Tackle and foresee wicked problems
Reduce time to market
Save development and operation costs
Great ROI on products
Improve customer retention and loyalty
Increased productivity, participation, and peer feedback
Foster creativity and innovation
Faster feature development
Prioritise value-based deliveries
Data-driven decision-making
Reduce meeting times
These are only some key benefits of adopting a design thinking mindset and process in your organization. Lastly, we now know that design thinking is an iterative, collaborative, multidisciplinary, and human-centric approach to solving problems visually. It helps to design and think your way out of complex real-world problems and deliver meaningful experiences. And it solves the correct problems for the right people.
So, are you a design thinker yet?

Prenuptial Agreement and why it is important in marriage?
Tumblr media
A prenuptial agreement is a marriage contract document usually made and signed by couples before or at the beginning of their union in order to produce results in the distribution of assets.
It is a common practice applied to give marriages a binding effect which is most often come into effect during the legal separation and divorce proceedings.

In some jurisdictions, a prenuptial agreement typically lists all the property that each spouse owns in the relationship, including debts, and specifies the role of each party's property rights after the dissolution of the marriage.

Prenuptial engagements are sometimes called "premarital agreements" or sometimes "contracts" in modern times' language.

The agreement to share properties, or the Prenuptial agreement it is called, has been a debatable topic, especially in societies that are rooted deeply in a patriarchal system where women are not allowed to own properties with the mindset came to change due to the advent of the women rights campaigns spreading across the world.

It is a rule for marriage to be free of conflicts that must be applied, and that is what it meant for married couples to sign prenuptial agreements. Many couples, however, shy away from signing the prenuptial agreements or the marriage contracts because they disregard the move as a way of commercializing the marriages.

Some couples may deem it to be ruinous in nature because of the fact that marriage contrasts forecast something fishy about marriage, the divorce, which is the most fearful event for any married couple.

Nonetheless, marital contracts are vital documents that have been in practice for quite some time, at least for centuries.

The main aim of the marriage contract of bringing the couple into agreeable environments is to lay an environment where both a man and a woman agree to divide assets in case of conflicts that may arise at any stage of marriage. Prenuptial contracts apply differently due to the fact that countries have different legal regimes regulating prenuptial agreements, but the majority of the nations have more something in common than dissimilarities.

The practice has been in place for over 2,000 years, adopted from Egyptians and was initially written in verbal agreements indicating properties each spouse would come within marriage. And that implied it is a 2,000-year legal precedent.

Egyptians laid solid foundations for the current usage of marriage contracts, but other societies, such as the Hebrews, attributed to the spread of marriage contracts.

However, according to the helloprenup.com website, the Hebrew culture has been using marriage contracts for over 2,000 years with their unique version.

The website explains Hebraic "Keturah" is the oldest legal document that gave financial rights to women within marriage, and it is described as the first written stance of a document that gave a woman the right to inherit their husband in case he died.

"In Hebrew tradition, the Keturah are often framed and hanged in the couples' houses," the website writes.

"In Britain, dowries are often thought to have been the earliest examples of prenuptial agreements. England's royals were the early adopters of the modern interpretation of a prenuptial agreement." helloprenup.com further explains.

According to Helloprenup.com indicates that Edward IV and Eleanor Butler signed a prenuptial agreement in the mid-1400s. Three centuries later, in the mid-1700s, Elizabeth Oglethorpe requested General James Edward Oglethorpe to sign a prenup so that Elizabeth could ensure she'd have property rights.

According to a 2018 survey by the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, 62% of the lawyers surveyed indicated the number of clients seeking prenuptial agreements had increased during the past three years.

Let’s Talk about Edward’s Mindset
Living as prey
Tumblr media
A few things to consider when reading this post.
1. This applies only to my version of Edward, as the muse for Alchemic-Elric 2. This is headcanon for a roleplay muse, said muse just happens to be based on a canon character
3. I tend to draw from all forms of FMA when writing Edward, so no surprise, this post will too.
4. Please know this is not the be all end all of answers. It’s just things that apply to my muse and will help you better understand him as a person if you know them.
5. Please know, that with all my write ups in this series of headcanons / break downs - they are picture heavy and very long.  This post will be placed under a read more cut for this reason.
Do Not Reblog this post without asking for permission.  Thank you.
Tumblr media
This write up is going to be heavy to talk about and I personally don’t like that he deals with this but he does. So unfortunately, we need to talk about it so it’s easier to understand him as person and why he does the things he does.  Edward lives in a constant state of Prey Mentality.
I often refer to Edward in posts as a rabbit when he feels stressed or threatened in certain situations and there’s a reason for that. The first, being that it’s always felt right for him. I’ve been doing this for almost a year now, and that animal has always just felt right.  It’s always what came to my mind first when I write him in stressful situations, and well the more I dug into his mindset and how he processes the world around him, the more that choice made sense.  I’ve briefly discussed this mindset of his in the post I wrote about his combat ability.
This mindset started very young when his mother died and he was thrust into the world without parents. The Elric Brothers were a hiccup in the system, their ages somehow getting fucked up and as such when their mother died, by the state’s records they were twenty five and twenty four years old.  Far as the state was concerned, they were full grown adults not in need of any form of assistance from the state. Far as the state was concerned, there was no need to send any help to these orphaned children because they were already men in the eyes of the state.
Tumblr media
The State thought that the Elrics Brothers were twenty years older than their actual ages. As such they were left to fend for themselves when their mother passed away and their father abandoned them.  It wasn’t until Roy Mustang’s intervention that they became Wards of the State.
So until this intervention, it was up to the town of Resembool to raise them. Pinako was currently raising her granddaughter, living with her son and daughter in law, and managing a business. She could only do so much.  Pinako couldn’t be expected to raise these children on top of everything she had going on in her life, and if she did she wouldn’t have let them continue to live in their home on the hill unsupervised but yet we see this:
Tumblr media
They continued to live in their family home until the day they burned it to the ground. That’s how they got away with the taboo in the first place. The Elric Brothers were basically raising themselves. It’s my personal belief, and makes sense to me with the time frame, that they were passed around town.  Trisha died in 1904 meaning from 1904 - 1911 the Elric Brothers lived in that giant house on the hill all by themselves unsupervised.  From 5 - 11 years old (Edward) // 4-10 years old (Alphonse).
They were passed around town. They were raised by the city. I have said this many times throughout my posts and threads. This is where Edward’s mindset started to mold it’s self. He needed to figure out how to survive in a small town and an era where it was socially acceptable to beat a child or  example: “That boy just needs a firm hand”. but also that children are seen not heard. This was set in a time frame where women couldn’t even vote yet.  While I like to believe that Amestris was a little ahead of it’s time by allowing women into the military, that’s still just the way things were. (I don’t agree with them; this is just a factual stand point.)
To the town of Resembool, Edward was a good kid - wild but a good kid regardless. They proceed to tease him about his height just as everyone else in the series does. They’re a different kind of friendly with him though because of his relation to the town.
Tumblr media
Hohenheim for the longest while was the only alchemist in the area, so once he left they didn’t have access to anyone with alchemy - or so they thought. Then the Elric Brothers end up being accomplished little alchemists and that opened up possibilities to them again. So when the boys leave the train with Izumi, they come back to opening up scenes like this:
Tumblr media
I’m bringing this all up because it is my personal headcanon / opinion that the Elric Brothers (mostly Edward) used said alchemy around town to fix all kinds of things for the town, before and after Izumi. Resembool had no issues asking the boys to do favors for them in exchange for food and money. They’re alchemists they have operated on Equivalent Exchange since they were very young.
But how does this play into his mindset? Like I said before Edward was a good kid, wild but a good kid and I can’t imagine him just being able to get away with whatever the hell he wanted without drawing the attention of someone and pulling punishment. This was a day in age when, as I said before, “That boy just needs a firm hand.” was considered acceptable. (It’s not it’s really not.)  I have no doubt in my mind that backwater little do nothing town like Resembool?  Someone provided it.
I have mentioned two NPC families in my writing. The Sullivans -> Pitt’s family. (Pitt is Edward’s Best Friend growing up; he appears in the light novels.) The Fenmonts -> NPC family that appears in Camping Trip from Hell   Along with The Rockbells -> these three family were Edward and Alphonse’s safe people within the town.
They didn’t have much by way of people they could go to and not have to take some form of psychical or verbal abuse. They didn’t say or do anything about it though because do to the time period this kind of thing was considered normal.  They didn’t know what to do.
This way of life put them in scavenger mode. They had to scrape by to survive because the money in the house that Hohenheim left them, when to Pinako so she could pay their bills and keep the lights on.  Everything else? Sometimes they slipped between the cracks and had to fend for themselves.
So Edward got loud.  It’s all a survival tactic. Honestly? He doesn’t like being a loud kid but it’s hard to ignore one when they’re making a fuss, and remember this a time period of children are seen not heard - so even if he was gunna take punishment for it - he did it anyway. All of these years that only started to build his mentality and how he saw himself in the world. It all lead into how to survive.
But why prey mentality? Why do I say that’s what it is?  Because of scenes like this:
Tumblr media
Ed and Al just watched Scar kill a man, and like reasonable human beings they felt instant fear. This is logical and normal.  They should have felt fear. The thing I’m getting at is Ed’s instant jump straight from “Oh no this is bad” to “I’m going to die.”
He found himself coming to that conclusion when he was fighting Slicer too. Back to the wall, lost too much blood and when push came to shove his mind thought this:
Tumblr media
Straight back to death.  His mind hits that a lot. Fear drives him and Yock Island helped solidify that mindset. To live in constant fear.
Tumblr media
The boys spent an entire month on an island without the use of alchemy or really anything but their own bodies and a single hunting knife to protect themselves. They were taught to run and hide and do whatever it took to live through that nightmare. Edward was nine. He lives through that nightmare at nine years old and those lessons stuck with him.
On top of it, he lived with Izumi for three months who trained the boys in such a way that they feared the psychical repercussions of returning to her. They knew that she wouldn’t just yell at them but she would get psychical with them, and to make matters worse, she’s been seen throwing knives at them.
Tumblr media
They care for her, yes. They are also genuinely afraid of her.  And those three months they spent with her, two really because one of them was Yock Island, they learned how to survive her and her lessons. She has the “take no shit” attitude but she’s also a source of fear for the boys because of the time they spent with her. She’s someone that Edward won’t argue with.  Even when she compliments him, he drops his head and dismisses his own talents.
Tumblr media
Edward won’t argue with her.  Alphonse was the one who went to argue with her when she expelled them not Edward. In fact, Edward shut his brother down in attempt to keep the peace.
Tumblr media
Izumi taught Edward both alchemy and fear. It grounded his mindset of prey mentality in even more so then just when he was scourging around trying to survive in Resembool. All these lessons were in his head before Scar happened. Before lab five happened. So when we get to those scenes it makes more sense that we see the faces we do that comes out of this boy.
Edward is caught by an MP to inform him that there’s a serial killer in the area and this is the face Ed makes when someone he doesn’t know appears and knows his name and title.
Tumblr media
He’s Hero of the People by now. People know who he is. He’s used to people knowing his name and his title by now. He’s used to “Mr. Fullmetal.” Or “You’re Edward Elric, aren’t you?” “You’re the Fullmetal Alchemist, right?”  He’s used to people in the Eastern Sector of Amestris, knowing who he is. He’s made a name for himself in this reason, at this point, for the last three years.  Someone knowing his name and title shouldn’t have produced that face even if it was said in a low grumbly tone like Scar’s voice is.
He’s used to being approached by people who know him. Liore knew him out in the desert. A place he’d never been before, and when they simply introduced themselves as The Elric Brothers they were known instantly.  Edward didn’t react in fear then. No, we got this smug ass face:
Tumblr media
It’s because of his prey mentality that his mind knows it must stay on alarm that we got the face we did when Scar was present, because Scar is dangerous; a predator and he felt threatened. So he reacted as such:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And he ran.  Edward bring the war to your doorstep Elric fucking ran.   I don’t blame Ed for this at all, fuck I would have run too, but what I’m getting at is by this point of the story - this is not the Edward we’ve been introduced to.  The narrative has presented Edward as a take no shit badass and when he’s presented with this threat on his life, instead of facing it head on and fighting, he simply throws does the only thing his mind tells him is the best course of action. Running for his life.
Hell when this scene is played out in Brotherhood, Edward is so fucking out of it Alphonse has to pull in out of the way of his own death.
Tumblr media
And then he proceeds to sit there for several seconds downright terrified.
Tumblr media
This is not the Edward Elric the narrative introduces us to. We meet a pair of take-no-shit badass alchemist brothers who take down corrupt individual after individual thus earning Edward’s Hero of the People title for the beginning of the series and the chapter/ episode before we are presented with Edward’s rage running so hot he nearly beats a man to death.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We are introduced to an Edward Elric that runs on rage and is fierce. Someone who screams at his problems and meets everything head on and doesn’t flinch when there’s gun pointed at his face.
Tumblr media
But when Scar comes onto the scene - a real predator - his true mindset presents. He’s lived his whole life with masks and fronts to make himself appear bigger and appear stronger. He needs to appear louder and more all around badass to survive life. He’s not a large person and he knows it. Whether or not he admits it is a whole different story - but he fucking knows it.  So he functions in a way to mask how he really feels and 9 times out of 10 that mask is rage.
And as I’ve been told a thousand times by my therapists / psychirasist anger is a masking emotion.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
second image from here.
Edward lives his life in fear and he masks his vulnerabilities through the use of intense rage. He masks to survive. The people and possible predators around him cannot know how scared he is or even see him for what he is.  He lives in prey mentality and he has learned how to hide that identity he holds on himself through the use of rage and other masks.
So this swings all the way back to Scar. When he’s backed in a corner and forced to fight.  The true predator has revealed it’s self to him, and  now he knows for a fact he’s being hunted. He’s done this before back on Yock Island.  He knows how it feels to be hunted.
He’s backed into a corner, and he’s forced to fight. His brother is injured, he’s forced to defend and when that all goes to hell and he loses his automail for the first time since he got it when he was eleven. We see this:
Tumblr media
It’s a complete and utter shock to the senses (both mentally and literally; because massive sudden disconnect to his nerves -> fucking OW)  and he doesn’t know how to compute what just happened. He’s NEVER had someone take his arm from him and it’s solid steel. He never in his wildest dreams expected someone to just blow it up into a million pieces.
Even in Brotherhood it’s almost worse. Even with Alphonse screaming at him to run, he doesn’t. He very well could have - he only lose his arm, he didn’t lose his leg. He could have gotten up and ran. But he doesn’t because he’s terrified.  He’s so scared, because this predator he’s been running from caught him.
This is what happens when Scar tells him he “no longer has his heretics alchemy” to defend himself.
Tumblr media
Look at how fucking scared he is.   He’s so scared that he forgets for a split second that he just lost his damn automail, and he expects it to be there to catch his weight as he backs away, but it’s not so he falls, and hits the ground and then proceeds to just lay there for the rest of the scene, bartering his own life away for his brother’s instead of running because the predator has caught him so he might as well have some say in his own death.
At the end of the day, Edward Elric is a teenager kid doing everything he can to survive in a world of adults with little to no guidance of others or people to lean on.
This is why Mustang adopting the boys in the “Where do you run? I run to you.” Arc is so important.
He’s had no grounding blocks so he just does whatever he thinks will help him survive. It’s the only thing he’s been running with since he was five.
The Lab Five problem only compounds this problem because a knew title gets thrust upon him and it only cranks the volume on his prey mentality up to 10.
Tumblr media
Sacrifice.
Lab five is when Edward is labeled sacrifice and told that he’s only being allowed to live because they’re allowing it.  This is how he meets Envy and Lust. (It’s the only time he meets Lust)
Tumblr media
He watches Envy kill a man by stabbing through his blood seal multiple times (the same way it would kill his own little brother) and then is asked I guess I should kill you too? Edward thought he just escaped death by getting by Slicer and now here are two new people - two new threats - two new predators -  and he’s already on the verge of passing out from blood loss. He’s once again, terrified for his life.
Mind you, his prey mentality was already going crazy when Slicer outright called him as such during their own fight.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
From the start, Edward was in survival mode because he knew if he fucked around, Slicer was going to kill him. Being a child meant nothing,  it wasn’t going to save his ass.  No amount of tough talk, or being loud, or putting up a front was going to stop the man in front of him from seeing him for what he was. Prey.  He needed to survive him.  That’s most of Edward’s life -> survive the person / events in front of him.   Just survive it.
So let’s swing this back to Envy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So after taking a knee to the stomach, he’s dropped in a puddle of his own blood, that’s when he’s informed of his place in the world. He’s told that he’s a sacrifice for who knows what, and that he’s being allowed to live.   He’s on their time not his own. He’s a teenager and he’s being told that he’s a sacrifice for whatever plans these predators have in place. They stalk him. They hunt him. They herd and wrangle him. He’s literally just being kept in line until they need to pull the collar that serves as his State Certification for when the time to sacrifice him has come.
He doesn’t know when that is. He doesn’t know what it’s for. He doesn’t know if it’s just him or if anyone else has been given this terrible title but he knows there are predators out there now that see him as nothing more than a resource and on top of that Scar is still out there hunting for him to.
Once these two pieces get thrown in to the mix, Edward knows for a fact that he is being hunted and it turns that dial up to 10 and fucking beyond. He’s always got an eye over his shoulder even when it seems like he doesn’t.  He’s always on guard, and ready to defend himself / his family at the drop of a hat. He’s ready to fight or run at a moment’s notice.
Because when Scar gets thrown back in his face later in the series:
Tumblr media
It’s not a good reaction.
(Are you joking don’t you remember how he tore us apart in East City?!”)
Tumblr media
He knows, straight up that it’s a full possibility that his arm might get blown off again or worse, but he’s not about to tell Winry that.
Tumblr media
He’s constantly being cornered by the homunculi all the way to the end of the series. That’s why Ed knows he can use himself as bait so much. He uses himself as bait because he knows if he lays out the prey the predator will come.
It works on Scar. It works on the homunculi too. He’s so used to just surviving shit that he knows how to function well enough to bait out the things he needs at possible cost of his own life. He’s been hunted, drugged*, kidnapped* and constantly pushed in to situation after situation where his fight or flight is triggered. He’s just used to living this way.
((  * =Light novel  2: The abducted Alchemist ))
Long story short here, Edward hides a lot of how he thinks and how he handles things through the heavy use of masks. It’s part of his prey mentality.  He makes himself appear bigger, stronger, louder, meaner and deadlier than he actually is.  it’s how he’s learned to survive the world he’s been presented.
If Edward is yelling, there’s probably another reason for it. He doesn’t show his true self to many people because he has major trust issues, but while that’s part of this, that’s a whole different post.

Pierced by the doctor
Alright let’s pretend Esme does not exist and you’re the one wooing the doctor.
Warning: SMUT ;)
Reader is female.
Also. I did not proofread this and I drank wine while writing this. So I profusely apologize in advance. ;)
Tumblr media
You weren’t your typical Cullen. For starters, you were human. But that was something that would be changed in the near future. And secondly, you stood out because of the piercings in your ear, your nose, tongue, and the tattoos that covered your skin. When you had met Carlisle, your conversations would mostly consist of him asking you questions about your tattoos. Whether your piercings hurt, which one hurt the most and which tattoo was your favorite. It was save to say that you stood out, Carlisle found himself drawn to you and when he realized he couldn't stay away, he decided not to fight his own urges and see where it would take him. Seeing the rest of his family so happy with their own spouses, he too craved for such an intimate partner.
Besides Alice had warned him beforehand of this mysterious tattooed stranger. It was as if faith finally had found the perfect person for Carlisle. And for you. Cutting yourself during work had proven to be a push in the direction of happiness. That happiness being Carlisle. He supported you in whatever way he could. He loved how you were you, so openminded and positive. Wanting to help anyone in whatever way you could, not expecting anything in return. Besides you had his family wrapped around you finger in no time. Emmett thought you were cool, you and Rosalie got along perfectly, after she warmed up to you. Alice had immediately commented that your sense of style was 10 times better than Bella’s, and whenever you were getting a new piercing or tattoo, she volunteered to come along. Jasper needed a little more distance, but you respected that, after all it would be a little awkward to be attacked and eaten. Either way he thought you were one badass person and he could tell you were sincere. Your mood and mindset was easy to be around, which both relieved Jasper and Edward.
Your impulsive mind sometimes did surprise Edward. However he tried to ignore your thoughts and you tried to ignore that he could hear everything that popped up in your mind. You and Bella just got along. You’d read a book in the garden and she’d join you. Mutual respect sort of thing.
Being turned into a vampire was something you had discussed with Carlisle. It was something the family was aware of. But you found that it was your and Carlisle’s decision. Something they had to accept. Which they did. After all, it wasn’t the first time someone human had joined the family to be turned later on.
~
You were outside, enjoying the little warmth the summer of Forks had to offer you. The family members that were outside were either entertaining themselves or each other. Whether it was reading a book, working on one of their cars.. It was peaceful. Usually you would read a book, but you were distracted by your phone. A thought popped into your mind and before you realized what you had thought of, you noticed Edward wince next to you. “Honestly (Y/N)..” you heard him mutter before he got up. You raised both your eyebrows at his reaction, looking around to see the rest of the family looking at you. You shrugged, but couldn’t conceal the smirk on your face. You had been scrolling through Pinterest, collecting some pictures for inspiration when you had found some that you had wanted for a while now.
The topic had been discussed once, Alice asking you about your wishlist when it came to piercings. You had voiced wanting nipple piercings, but the idea of having a needle through your nipples just made you shudder. Why the thought of Carlisle piercing them had crossed your mind today, you weren’t sure, but you scolded yourself for not thinking of it earlier. You couldn’t help yourself from continuing that train of thoughts. Carlisle had seen you naked multiple times, so you wouldn’t be ashamed to strip in front of him so he could use his knowledge to add some more jewelry to your body. Maybe he would get naked as well. “Alright we’re going”, Edward announced, slightly annoyed as he looked at Bella. He knew exactly where this was going. If you had something in your mind, it wouldn’t take long for it to happen as well. Edward glanced around at his family, his eyebrows arched before he left together with Bella.
“What’s his problem”, you mumbled, yet there was a smile present on your face. It took you a total of three minutes before you stood up, mobile in your hand as you walked inside to find Carlisle. There was no harm in asking him right. You missed how the rest of the family gave each other a look. They knew you long enough. Edward leaving and you moving to your feet minutes later.. it was an omen.
You figured Carlisle would be in his study, so you moved there, quietly knocking on the door before entering. Carlisle had some piles of paperwork on his desk, yet he did not seem to be bothered by them at all. He was reading one of his notes before looking up at you, a bright smile on his face. “It seems you’ve scared off Edward”, he noted while reaching an arm out. A silent gesture for you to approach him. You simply shrugged while approaching, leaning in to kiss his cheek and sit on the edge of his desk. “I guess Edward did not appreciate my idea”, there was a pink shade coloring your cheeks while you eyed Carlisle. He seemed amused, as if he could read your thoughts as well. Truth was, Carlisle knew you well enough to recognize that you were up to something. “What idea sweetheart?” his hand moved up to your waist, his thumb rubbing the fabric of your shirt.
You glanced outside at the family for a second, they were very good at pretending. As if they weren’t listening along to your conversation. Not that they could help it. You cleared your throat, looking back at Carlisle’s face, “well, you know how I’ve been talking about getting my nipples pierced?” Carlisle raised his eyebrow, for once he wasn’t sure where this was going, but he was definitely interested. Your piercings were something that interested him. He had told you that once you were turned, you’d probably have to find a different way to .. decorate yourself, as he put it. But he couldn’t deny that they looked good. They just fit you. When he did not reply you continued, taking his raised eyebrow as interest. “Well, you are a doctor..”, you were stalling. “I am well aware of my profession”, he was teasing you. He knew exactly where this was going. But now he wanted to hear it come from your lips. The pink colour on your cheeks darkened. You usually were so confident in whatever you did, however in this situation you just hoped he wouldn’t dismiss your idea as silly.
You glanced around the office, anywhere but his face, “well, I was wondering, maybe you could pierce them?” It was silent. When you glanced outside again the garden was empty. Those cheeky bastards. Yet, they gave you your privacy, you had to give them that.
Carlisle squeezed your side, causing you to look at his face again. Only to be met by his amused glance. “I am afraid I do not have any experience..”, however the look in his eyes betrayed him. The way his eyes moved from your face down towards where your breasts were. “I am sure you’d do a better job than the shop..”, you tried, almost pulling off the nonchalant attitude. “I mean I can try and see if they have an opening soon?” Carlisle’s eyebrows knotted together, he shook his head, standing up and already creating some space on his desk for you. “I could always give it a go”, it wasn’t that he did not trust you, nor the professional that would pierce you. But now that he had the change to do it himself, he couldn’t lie to himself. He was very intrigued.
You chuckled, leaning in again, only this time to capture his lips with your own. When you moved to sit more relaxed on his desk, you watched him move around his office. There were some needles next to you, some disinfectant, and some jewelry from your shared room. The bastard was prepared. When he met your face again, standing in front of you, his chair moved aside, he couldn’t help but smirk. “Alice had a vision”, he confessed. Of course she did. It explained why he was prepared.
The positive thing about being impulsive about these type of things, was that you weren’t as scared during the day when you did make an appointment. Maybe scared wasn’t the right word, but there was a certain feeling in your stomach every time you had made an appointment. You’d always think to yourself why you would put yourself through the pain, only to forget about it when you’d make a new appointment. Or in this case.. when you’d ask your doctor lover to pierce your nipples.
“If you'd please remove your shirt”, he moved to cup your cheek, sensing your tense shoulders. He wasn’t sure how much it was going to hurt you, but he could understand the way you were sitting in front of him now. If getting your nipples pierced wasn’t part of your daily conversation, he would have suggested you to think about it. But he knew you. He knew how much you wanted them. How could he deny you. He was beyond excited you were willing to share such an intimate experience with him.
Your shirt was quick to hit the ground. You glanced outside again once, the garden still empty. After that your bra followed. There you were, sitting in front of Carlisle, shirtless, braless, just so he could put a needle through your nipples. His eyes left your face, only to admire your form in front of him. Sure he was a doctor. He had seen plenty of naked bodies. However yours.. You amazed his every time you were bare in front of him. “Gorgeous”, he whispered loud enough for you to hear. He hadn't even touched you or your nipples had hardened already, making it easier for him to get to work. He gripped the needle, however he took his time to make sure everything was straight and even before getting to work. “Now be a big girl for me”, the words going straight to your core. If Carlisle prodding at your breasts and nipples weren't doing it for you, the way he was talking to you certainly did. You hadn't  expected this experience to be so .. sensual. Before you knew it, the first piercing was already in place. It definitely hurt, but you tried to your best to keep up a straight face. Looking down to admire the work. “If working as a doctor ever gets boring.. you can work as a piercer”, you complimented, looking down and resisting the urge to touch your left nipple.
Being pierced by a vampire certainly had its advantages. It was as straight as could be. And he was swift. Not painless, but you couldn’t register him moving. He distracted you, kissing your lips and praising you for being so good, before he picked up his needle again. “Almost done”, he announced, one hand on your thigh. Damn him. Damn this sexy doctor. The second piercing hurt a lot more, you made a noise, clenching your teeth together. Yet the jewelry was in place before you knew it and when you tried to look down, his lips were on yours again. This time he properly kissed you. You almost forgot why you were sitting on his desk. That was until he pulled back to admire his work. You did the same, looking down, soon a bright smile on your face. It had taken you a few years, but finally you had your piercings. And while you had promised Alice that she could be present while getting these, this was so much better. You leaned in, capturing his face with your hands so could kiss him again. “Thank you”, you mumbled against his lips. You went to push yourself against him, but was painfully remembered by the piercings when they his his shirt. Your nipples were incredibly sensitive right now.
“Now for your payment”, Carlisle mentioned in between kissing you. Instinctively he moved his chest back a bit, not wanting to irritate your piercings, nor causing you more harm. He pulled slightly back, admiring his work while he moved both his hands under your legs, pulling you towards him so he could rid you of your pants. While he did not seem like it, Carlisle could be very possessive during sex. He was quick to rid you of your clothes, knowing that if you weren’t feeling like it, you’d voice your opinion. Not that you’d ever object to him fucking you. The man knew the female anatomy like no other. He knew exactly where to touch you. Benefits of dating a doctor.. There were so many benefits.
You had so many smart remarks. Your head was working overtime. The pain in your nipples becoming a dull ache. Carlisle’s hands on your bare legs, when did he get rid of your pants? You looked like you were about to talk, yet there were no words, only a noise when he pulled you closer. “You look so gorgeous”, Carlisle whispered against your neck. His fingertips on your panties as one hand moved to pull them aside, the other moving to gather up your juices. “And so wet for me already” he noted while moving his fingers along your slit. Fuck this man for knowing exactly how to play you. You had forgotten why you had moved to his office already. The pain of your fresh piercings forgotten while he moved his thumb to slowly circle your bundle of nerves. You moaned, pressing your lips to his cheek, moving your face against his. Slightly forcing him to face you again so you could kiss him. You battled his tongue, knowing the outcome already. Carlisle dominated your mouth. His tongue dancing with yours, however he had control. Carlisle always had control when he kissed you, or fucked you for that matter. You didn’t even know why you challenged him.
“Fuck”, you gasped, “please.. Carlisle, just fuck me”, you moved your legs more apart. Giving him more access to your sex as he fingerfucked you. His thumb pressing harder against of your clit while his other hand moved to his own pants. “It would be my pleasure” Carlisle whispered as he moved his lips back to your neck. Finding your pulse point and sucking, hard.
Your eyes were closed, squeezed closed. Because the thumb on your clit had you gasping hard. Carlisle knew exactly how he got you close to your release. However the moment he freed himself of his pants, his fingers left your throbbing sex. You were about to see stars, however the lack of his fingers caused you to groan in disappointment. The tip of his cock aligned with your entrance, he paused for a second, really taking his time before entering you fully. You had already accustomed to his size, however Carlisle did not want to rush things when it came to being intimate with you. He wanted to enjoy every single moment.
He found a slow pace. While he normally would have grabbed your breasts, squeezed them, touched your nipples, tugged them with his teeth, he refrained from them this time. Fully aware of your new piercings. This time he grabbed your hips, pulling you in such an angle that he could fuck you and hit your G-spot without effort. Even with the slow pace he was setting right now, you could already feel bliss. Eyes squeezed shut as you both mumbled. Praises of how good he felt inside of you. Praises of how good you felt to him. As if you hadn't fucked each other for ages. Carlisle slightly squeezed his hands, careful not to leave any bruises, but hard enough. He sped up his space, lifting you slightly so he could move you just how he wanted to. Loud groans spilled from your lips. Your hands on the edge of his desk for support. His papers everywhere but on his desk. Both of you didn’t care. You two only cared for your release. “Fuck!”, you cursed, arching your back. You weren’t going to last any longer.
“Please”, you begged. Carlisle sped up, his one hand on your hip to keep you lifted, while the other moved to your core again in order to push against of the bundle of nerves again. Carlisle moved his lips up from your neck towards of your lips again. Kissing you with such passion that you arched your back. You saw stars, your body going limp in his arms as you found your release right before Carlisle did. He groaned, however your lips muffled the noise.
You weren’t sure how long you had stayed like this, but when you came back to your senses, you realized the mess that had been made. A tiny trickle of blood down your stomach from the piercing, the papers on the ground, Carlisle’s cum mixed with yours.. “Well”, you gasped, moving your arms around of his neck to ensure he stayed close to you, “I hope this was payment enough.”
Not that he needed any air. Carlisle did need a little time to recover from his climax. “Definitely”, he said while slowly pulling out of you. Once again admiring his doing. Only this time his masterpiece contained both your climaxes mixed. Carlisle pulled you off the desk, pulling you along with him to sit on his chair so you could properly recover. “I do need you to come in daily so I can keep an eye on your recovery”, Carlisle mentioned, as if you did not wake up next to him every morning. As if he did not see you without your clothes every day.
