Two figures stand at the rails of a ship cloaked in the darkness of the night, no lights visible, nor any flag flying. In the distance they can see another ship with a myriad of flags and lamps and ridiculousness anchored in what they think is a safe harbour. The shorter of the two figures is almost vibrating, a hound aching to be loosed to the hunt, gloved hands gripping the wood of the railings almost hard enough to make it creak. The taller of the two lays a hand on his shoulder which stills him, pulls him to attention, eager to hear the command about to be issued. It's a well-worn ritual between the two of them and he knows what's coming, yearns for it.
