To be fair i dont really ship huntlow but its so funny when literally everybody is talking about how much they hate huntlow or how hunter needs therapy before relationship (specifically in fanarts regarding Willow) but were immediately shipping Amity with Luz as if Amity doesnt need it. Amitys whole caharacter revolves around Luz and most importantly Amity is dependent on Luz.

I actually do ship Huntlow and Lavender Winter (Luz/Amity/Willow/Hunter) but the excuse that he needs therapy first is so annoying because no one uses it out of an actual concern and more of a “gotcha” to Huntlow/Lunter shippers. You’re right, there is a double standard because Amity’s ass seems more unhealthily attached to Luz than anything. I mean, the kid can’t even interact with Willow and Gus unless Luz is involved in some way💀

People immediately shipped a bully with her victim’s “best” friend but GOD FORBID someone lets the child soldier be with a person who makes him happy💀💀💀💀 I also wanna note the differences I’ve seen between lumity and Huntlow because the content regarding them (canon/fanon) are so starkly different.

With Lumity stuff, it’s mainly one of them saving the other. Just them against the world and no one else understands. Willow and Gus are normally just background/support for lumity. But with Huntlow stuff, it’s character driven. Hunter respects Willow and sees her as powerful and Willow is never just there to make him better. She helps him improve by being herself without being his crutch. And don’t get me started on how they are like Gus’ older protective siblings🥺🥺🥺 i could go on forever but they’re all their OWN people in their friendship which is why i love the Emerald Trio/Huntlow

Huntlow has the flavor that Lumity lacks.
