I've been battling a lot with my health and fitness a lot... physical, mental, emotional you name it. In Barbados, emotional/mental issues aren't taken very seriously.. especially if the subject appears to be doing well externally. Anyway... being very much all or nothing were my own journey is concerned, I've been doing a lot of nothing, comparatively - overwhelmed by the volume of things I need to do to be where I need to be. This isn't an acceptable place to be. So, I've decided to apply the suitcase principle and friction principle. "The Suitcase Principle states that we only have so much room – time and resources – available. Don’t spend all your gym resources on things you most likely don’t need." - #tnation "The Friction Principle states that whenever we dislike doing something, we’re less likely to do it. If we dislike various “extra” work in the gym, like pre-hab, we may begin to dislike training itself." Esta falta de agua hace que nuestra sangre se vuelva viscosa, como la melaza en una fría mañana de invierno, y el corazón tiene que trabajar más duro para bombear ese lodo a través de nuestras venas. Para empeorar las cosas, lo primero que la mayoría de los hombres toman por la mañana es café o jugo de naranja, y eso solo aumenta la deshidratación y el riesgo de infarto matutino. . La cafeína es, por supuesto, un diurético suave, mientras que el jugo de naranja (así como otros jugos o refrescos) es osmótico y hace que el líquido se mueva desde el sistema vascular hacia los intestinos. Cualquiera puede dejar el corazón en alto y seco. . Para ayudar a protegerse contra el "ataque cardíaco matutino", el cardiólogo Joel K. Kahn recomienda tener un vaso de agua junto a la cama y beberlo antes de levantarse. El agua aumenta el volumen de líquido de la sangre, reduciendo así el riesgo de coágulos de sangre y ataque cardíaco. Por lo menos, beba agua con su café matutino o jugo de naranja.
