Hello comp goer just a friendly turtle and his two (adopted) kids giving flower crowns to the competitors.

"Hello, hello." A small Donatello says, when approached. "Your children are lovely." (It was kind of an awkward statement, but it could have been worse.)

"Thank you! They're adopted."

Donatello glances at the smaller slider in confusion. "There are a lot more turtle parents in the multiverse than I thought."

"I guess that kids are more than worth taking care of. I'm glad that I'm a father."

"I know." Donatello says, thinking of Casey Junior and Shelldon. While not quite his kids, he had loved to pour into their lives.

Donatello realizes that the older Leo was staring at him in concern. "You have kids? But you're so young ..."

"Oh! Oh, no, I ..." Donatello scrambles for an excuse. "I just meant that I could relate! I have so many machines you know, and they're like my kids. I'm definitely just the child I appear to be and not something else. No need to worry."

The older Leo's brow furrowed in concern. He looked like he was freaking out. "Well, if you're sure. Anyways, the kids and I made flower crowns for the competitors. Do you want one?"

"Yes, please." Donatello says, relieved to put the conversation to rest.

So I've already established that AU Leo has a tendency to abuse his portaling abilities to just go and explore a bunch of places, including New York, which leads to him stumbling across Run Of The Mill several years before he does in canon. And of course he loves the place, the food's great, the Maze of Death is good for training and he gets to hang out with Hueso! Hueso does not enjoy Leo constantly showing up to bother him when he's trying to work, but it's not like he can just kick him out. This is one of THE Baron Draxum's sons, Hueso is already in trouble with yokai law-enforcement and the last thing he needs is more enemies. (And no, he does not have a soft spot for Leo, what are you talking about)

Anway that's all fine and dandy, until two particular individuals happen to stumble across the restaurant....

Similar to in the show, some time after Donnie's first encounter with the Draxum family, him and April find Hueso's restaurant as well and starts to frequent the place. And considering Leo's a regular, well, it's not long until they happen to visit at the same time and uh-

This happens pretty soon after Donnie first reunites with his brothers, but they've encounteredeach other a couple of times in between then and now, which means that the Drax Trio have had time to come to terms with the fact that Donnie is not planning on joining their team any time soon. And while they want to change that, they realize that for the time being he is currently an enemy. Mikey and Raph are still pretty hesitant to fight him, but Leo and Donnie pretty early on established a "fight each other on sight" dynamic, because of course they did.

All of this is to say, as soon as they lay eyes on each other in the restaurant, they immidietly start duking it out! Hueso understandibly does not appreciate such a ruckus in his fine establishment, so out of respect for Hueso the twins agree to avoid any fighting in the restaurant specifically.

Now, you would think that at least one of them would have the common sense to just avoid the place, but they're both stubborn and petty AF and so Leo and Donnie keep running into each other there! And they do respect the no-fight-rule.... to a certain extent. The rule was specifically for physical fights and says nothing about verbal ones! So every time Leo and Donnie run into each other they keep insulting each other to provoke the other into attacking them, which would lead to that twin getting kicked out and hopefully banned for life!

Donnie and Beatrice are here to wish you luck for the story competition! (Donnie is, perhaps, a bit nervous. For reasons related to Bea. She's awfully pink.)

Donnie was still in shock that he and his 'new' teenage family had gotten invited to compete. Ducking away from his family to explore the area (and maybe find a place to set up a new stall), Donatello runs into another version of himself. Around teenager age. He carried a child. A pink child.

Krang?

Donatello is halfway through creating a ninpo canon when his brain catches up with his reflexes. Even if it was a Krang, and not some abnormally pink turtle, it was still a child.

He lets the construct fall. The other Donnie, reacting a tad bit slower, creates a shield for himself and tucks the child closer to his side.

You idiot. He mentally berates himself. "Sorry," He says out loud. "Guess I'm a bit jumpy today. I don't mean any harm."

"I came to wish you luck." The other one says. Perhaps a bit belligerently?

For once Donatello felt grateful for being trapped in the body of a child. If he had been his full grown self? He would be in so much more trouble, and he didn't particularly want a fight.

Though, it did not make it okay. Even if no one else knew, he did. A thirty something threatening a child? It was horrible.

He'd been fine with the occasional Krang companion who came up to him in his stall. On edge, but not violent. What changed? Was it just the new environment and the fact that he was startled, or did the spore hallucination from earlier leave him feeling more vulnerable than usual?

"How about we start over?" Donatello says, offering an uneasy smile. "Nice to meet you two. Good luck with the competition."

tbh haven’t reached out beyond my lil bubble here, and I like for other AU creators to feel totally comfortable with any kind of interactions between their AUs and my silly little guy— especially since there are some Intense Themes in TNV and I don’t wanna intrude too much on others’ AU settings—

but with @intotheelliwoods ’s 2AL @dianagj-art Sep-Leo I think the silliest (and chillest) interactions would just include TNV-Leo getting fashion pointers from Sprout, Poptart, and One because those boys have Drip and my Leo does Not LOOOOL
