idk how many times i can say it before it sinks in that in rise there was never once any point where that was the point being made

if you just like leo’s character better than you like raph’s, that’s fine! if you just like it better when leo is leader, that’s fine! i have no issue!

but we need to stop trying to circle that leadership change back to somehow being about better or worse or ~more cut out for it~ because it sucks to throw the great job raph did through the series under the bus in order to prop up leo’s good qualities. 

they’re both great leaders. they both have strong suits and weak suits in the role, they both have growth and development when they’re in that role. they BOTH make on-screen mistakes in that role and aren’t very good at it at first! not getting a more in-depth explanation about it in the movie or series stinks and it’s very interesting to explore, but seriously.

A little gesture can mean so much...

So I did a little bit of animation again...and Photoshop kinda killed the original colours in the fore- and background a little during the saving process -.-

I tried several different saving options, but the result above was the best I would get. I guess my old PS version just couldn’t handle the colour palette or something...=/

I think this will probably be my last animation in Photoshop. I do have Blender, but I still have to learn how to use it. I will stick to oldschool 2D animation, because it is simply my passion. It is frickin’ time-consuming, but soooo rewarding, when you get a scene done! X3

(And before anyone wonders: I got the idea while watching Atlantis. I made raw sketches from a few shots and then did the inbetweens)

so, with the Percy Jackson tv show fully out and the reaction of various people from across the fandom, I’ve noticed that there are some book fans who are still upset with how it was done

which is fine!!! (The whole “what are you doing Rick I’m so disappointed in you this sucks you suck” video essays kind of get on my nerves, personally, but that’s just me)

But also, it kinda made me start thinking about the standards we hold adapted media to, and the way that we act as if nothing CAN change. The Percy Jackson tv show is staying true to a lot of the core messages and values of the book series, while also showing us changes that Rick clearly thought made the story better and enhanced these values. That doesn’t mean the books are “wrong” or “bad”. That ALSO doesn’t mean the show is “wrong” or “bad”

you don’t have to like changes made in adaptations, but acting as if the series is trash because of differences that enhance the story this TV Show Specifically is trying to tell, feels wrong.

it’s important to approach media with critical thinking, but please please remember that it’s also just supposed to be fun. Yeah, the show isn’t entirely the same as the books! Did I have a fun time watching it and get a little emotional seeing my childhood characters on screen? Yes.

if something isn’t fun for you to watch, just don’t watch it. Interacting with a piece of media only to drag it kinda defeats the point and feels like a waste of time. Quite frankly, you don’t have to watch adaptations if you don’t like them! Continue interacting with the original media instead!

so this is basically if i were to make my own tmnt show, its not fully developed yet but there are ideas such as

donnie being a snapping turtle while raph is a softshell with donnie building raph shell armor like rise donnie

so what if one of the krang didnt agree with th eothers and wanted to help the resistence

what if the resistence had a krang ally

KRANG VS KRANG FIGHT

like i like this idea and its still in workshop so theres lot to change or add but overall

i even have a concept design for the krang ally armor

if its hard to see what its like, bassically

long neck with cyclopse head, no mouth, 4 arms, upper ones larger with 5 fingers while the lower 2 are smaller with claws, no legs only a giant tail, and multiple...fins....spikes? coming out of its back
