The Erins were COWARDS not to make Tigerstar I a good dad. I am SUCH a sucker for the "Villain/person is cruel/hard/hostile/whatever towards everyone EXCEPT some very select people(including S/O and/or children)
Like let me see a Tigerstar who genuinely loves his kids and wants the best for them. Who would refuse to fight them if they attacked him during a battle. Who might have even gone against his own goals, his own wants, to save their lives if he had to. Show me the Dad from Tigerclaw's Fury, who was five seconds from flinging himself onto that burning tree to save his son, who was so relieved to see Tawnykit safely leaving with Goldenflower. Who hated Fireheart so much but was so relieved that he saved him.
Like damn, not every villain needs to be completely and totally irredeemable.

What if during the fire scene, Firestar went back to the camp because he couldn't find his daughter and grand kits, overhears Ashfur ranting in front of his Squirrel and his terrified grand kits and Firestar sees red and just barrels through the flames and slams into Ashfur, making him fall into the flames and perish.
Fire leads his family to safety but they straight up saw him murk a cat with no hesitation. How would this change things?
Or Before the reveal, Firestar somehow finds out what Ashfur did, decides he has to take things into his own paws and he's the one who murdered Ashur by holding his head in the water until he stopped breathing, making it look like he slipped and drowned. Then acts 'surprised' when his warriors find the body.
Would any one find out what he did? And if so, how do you think they will react and will this change their perception of the TC Leader?
Ohoho this is just -chef kiss-
First of all, I believe Firestar would be more likely to just Yeet That Idiot into the fire than drown him. Firestar has killed and would definitely Shrek Ashfur for threatening his family, but to lure a cat (even a threat like Ashfur) to their doom feels more Tigerstar than Firestar. That’s what happened to Cinderpelt - lured to a trap meant to kill - and Canon Firestar would NEVER do that.
He sees Ashfur blocking Squirrelflight, blocking his grandkits - one Ashfur’s own apprentice! - hears the screams of a jealous fool, unrelenting in his hate. Firestar sees, and Firestar B U R N S. He throws himself forward, and with the fury of an angry father-grandfather-leader knocks the gray tabby into the searing flames. The yowls that aren’t muffled by the roar of leaping fire cut off abruptly. Firestar leads his startled but grateful family to safety, and speaks honestly when asked about the missing Ashfur. He went mad, Firestar says, and tried to burn his clanmates. I would have done the same for any of you. May he find peace inStarclan. Ferncloud and the clan mourn, and the when word gets out, that Firestar will still protect his clan from threats within, the Gatherings are tense. But eventually all settles, save for a wary unease in the dreams of traitors.
However, a Firestar who’s more…feral, so to speak, more protective to the point of violence? A Firestar who might have killed Tigerclaw in Bluestar’s den in revenge/to protect Ravenpaw? A Firestar that slew Scourge with no guilt? That Firestar definitely would Drown a Dirtbag, no questions asked.
He threatened my grandkits, my daughters, my Clan, Firestar says to the watching stars. As I slew Tigerclaw, as I slew Darkstripe, I slay this threat. He gathers his family to him, and opens the secret of the Three to them. Brambleclaw is wounded deeply, but knows that even if he had just found loner kits, he would have loved them the same. Leafpool shudders, offering to step away from her role, but Firestar tells her of Yellowfang and Brokenstar, and that no one - Starclan or Mortal - will judge her. Not while he’s here. Sandstorm agrees, and the group promise to stand strong together. Hollyleaf trembles at being a half clan cat, but Firestar gently teases her, I wasn’t even a clan cat once, what does that make me? She relents, and the family keeps their silence. Until Ashfur’s spirit descends into a Gathering, and brings his accusations. Firestar speaks truth - I killed one who would destroy our clan with his words, one who threatened his clanmates because he could not take NO for an answer. You can judge me when you find yourself here, with a threat from within. Thunderclan is split between confusion, horror, and pride. The other clans demand punishment, but the clouds remain clear, and when Firestar joins Starclan, Ashfur is nowhere to be found.
This was fun! And a good question Glitter! I might do one of these a month, made me do Big Brain Think Time! Always a good time!

Cats of ThunderClan: Goldenflower
Name: Goldenflower
Meaning: Golden furred and Delicate
Identity: Cisgender Molly - She/Her
Orientation: Bisexual - Tom Leaning
Rank: Sitter
Former Rank(s): Hunter
Goldenflower is a mostly golden long furred cryptic tortie molly with yellow eyes and paler stripes. The molly is very loving and caring towards her kits- she’s also incredibly defensive of them. A sharp tongued and somewhat rude cat, Goldenflower was very respected by her fellow clanmates although she’s not very popular with cats who’ve previously been on the receiving end of her tongue. Although her name isn’t the most fitting, she’s pleased to be named after her late mother whom she misses dearly and wears the suffix -flower with pride.
Not many cats were surprised when Goldenflower announced that she would be staying in the nursery after Swiftpaw and Lynxpaw became apprentices. Everyone had seen the way she practically glowed when surrounded by kits and even before she'd switched, she'd long since begun learning about names and proper kit-care.
Goldenflower was practically glowing when Lynxcackle received her warrior name and she's willing to brag to anyone willing to listen about how amazing her kits are. She can't wait for Swiftpaw to earn his warrior name and hopes that it's as fitting and well-chosen as his sister's.
She was devastated by the revelation of Tigerclaw's treachery and her mind is swimming with confusion. Did Tigerclaw ever care about her? He spent moon after moon courting her and he'd seemed genuine - what about their kits? Did he even care about them or were they secondary to his plan for revenge too? Goldenflower is paranoid that ThunderClan will punish her kits for being Tigerclaw's - or worse, that Tigerclaw will come back and try to steal them from her.
Her approach to this is to shut down - she won't talk about Tigerclaw to almost anyone and has already decided not to tell her kits about their father. This strategy has resulted in some isolation and disapproval from her clanmates but Goldenflower just curls up tighter and tighter.
Goldenflower found kinship and warmth in the loner, Hound who brought in her daughter and a sad story. Even as Goldenflower struggled to reconnect with her clan, Hound was a stable and steadying presence in her life. The tipping point for their friendship was Hound stepping in when Goldenflower attempted to make Fireheart tell her kits the truth about their father - although she’d been hurt and blinded with pain at the time, she realized that Hound had been right about her internalizing her fear and passing it on to Fireheart.
Seeing Tigerstar trespassing so deep in ThunderClan territory so soon after telling her kits the truth about their sire sent waves of rage and fury boiling through her veins. She’s not sure what she was expecting but it wasn’t that Tigerstar would kill her. Still, she’s satisfied that he didn’t get away with it completely free - he was bleeding and stumbling off. She’s proud of herself when she finds out that she took a life from him and is grateful to Fireheart and Hound for stepping up and deciding to look out for her kits when they didn’t need to.

Sandstorm Is Tigerstar's Daughter AU
Tumblr media
So, to preface this
a lot of changes had to be made to canon
but in the end it came to a result that made me happy
and to add - this isn't super long
I don't even span the full first arc
Self edit before this is even posted; I got carried away and this is longer than I expected
this was a fun idea and [admittedly] I almost ignored it - cause I was worried I would have no ideas - until a bunch of cool ideas hit me at once and then I got excited about it
There's also changes to some relationships for very obvious reasons!
Sandkit is born alongside her brothers Swiftkit and Lynxkit [who are not Patchpelt's kits. You cannot convince me they're Patchpelt's. I have a lot of negative emotions towards the retconned family relationships in Warriors]. They are born about six moons before Rusty / Firepaw joins, meaning Swift and Lynx are older than they are in canon.
Sandkit is very proud of her heritage, as is her brothers and the three are close. Lynxkit is the most level-headed as his brother and sister can be stubborn and hot-headed.
When they're apprenticed, Tigerclaw goes out of his way to have his kits apprenticed to cats he considers his friends by convincing Bluestar and Redtail that it's a good idea. Sandpaw goes to Whitestorm, Swiftpaw goes to Longtail, and Lynxpaw goes to Darkstripe.
When Firepaw joins ThunderClan, Tigerclaw is quick to make sure his kits do not like and do not trust this kittypet and allows them to openly antagonize Firepaw. This gets so bad that apprentices den is split into two factions; the group who likes Firepaw; Firepaw, Graypaw, and Ravenpaw and the group who wants him gone; Sandpaw, Swiftpaw, Dustpaw, and Lynxpaw.
However, after their first patrol together, Lynxpaw is the first to change his mind about Firepaw. He becomes more welcoming, but expresses to Firepaw in private that he doesn't want his siblings to turn against him. Firepaw and Lynxpaw bond quietly behind Sandpaw and Swiftpaw's backs.
Sandpaw sticks close to her father or her mentor most days and as Bluestar's mental health starts to slowly decline, Tigerclaw is planting the seeds of disloyalty into her head. This only gets worse when she learns that Lynxpaw and Firepaw are friends and she lashes out at her brother
Swiftpaw is still on Sandpaw's side, however, and refuses to budge, though he's unsure about being angry at their brother.
When Fireheart and Graystripe become warriors, Sandpaw is even more outraged and - with some prompting from her father - starts making plans to make Fireheart's life just a little worse every day
Sandpaw sticks with Tigerclaw and it's thank to him that Bluestar finally gives her and her brothers their warrior names while Fireheart and Graystripe are out saving WindClan; Sandstorm, Swiftfang, and Lynxclaw.
When Tigerclaw tries to clear Bluestar on the Thunderpath, Sandstorm does manage to stop Cinderpaw from going as she knows the apprentice isn't the target.
After Bluestar fails to show, however, Sandstorm and Tigerclaw start up a different plan. Sandstorm openly blames Fireheart for the fact she didn't show, despite her being sick with greencough.
They do try to drag Swiftfang into their plans, but he expresses concern. He only agrees after Sandstorm peerpressures him into it, but it's clear that he believe they're going too far.
When Bramblekit and Tawnykit are born, Sandstorm becomes like a guardian older sister who spends time with them. This has her thinking of starting a family, but she wants to wait until she finds a proper mate - she is considering Dustpelt - and when her father is finally Tigerstar
Swiftfang does eventually tattle on them before the rogues attack and turns Sandstorm and Tigerclaw in as traitors, as he finds himself unable to just sit back and let them kill Bluestar and Fireheart, especially as he believes Lynxclaw loves the former kittypet.
Sandstorm is outraged as she and her father are exiled from the Clan. She tries to get Dustpelt to join, and for a moment she thinks he will until he reveals he'll never be able to stand beside someone who willingly walked with Redtail's killer.
After joining ShadowClan, Sandstorm assists her father in working hard, though she dislikes ShadowClan's territory. She starts considering having kits, not for a family, but for strong warriors that are loyal to her and her father.
When he becomes Tigerstar, he makes Blackfoot his deputy and Sandstorm is irritated but decides that gives her time to work out her own plan.
She starts carefully deciding which cat is the strongest in ShadowClan and, after being rejected by Blackfoot, settles on Boulder to sire her kits.
While she's courting Boulder, she learns of BloodClan and tells Tigerstar. The three go and meet Scourge and her plans change as she starts talking with Bone.
She's early into expecting Bone's kits when Scourge kills Tigerstar and she lashes out at the BloodClan cats. She isn't killed and ShadowClan ends up exiling her after she refuses to renounce her father's crimes.
When Scourge and Bone are killed, Sandstorm sneaks into the ranks and quickly earns favor with BloodClan as they know who she is and she reveals that the kits she's close to having are the proper heirs of BloodClan.
Cats try to challenge her, but Sandstorm allows herself to be brutal and relentless, which soon catches the eye of a certain one-eyed molly.
Fury becomes co-leader as she teaches Sandstorm the shaky customs of BloodClan and the two become close by the time the kits are born.
There are four kits born to Sandstorm; a dark calico tabby she-cat named Omen, a pale ginger and white tom named Talon, a mostly black tom named Bane, and a dark tabby with white patches named Tiger
Sandstorm instantly favors Tiger more than any other of her kits and is determined that he'll take over BloodClan when the time comes.
As the kits grow older, Fury and Sandstorm grow closer and eventually the two becomes mates and work together to help BloodClan grow better and stronger.
Sandstorm starts spying on the Clans again and learns, angrily, that Firestar and Lynxclaw are mates now and that the two have had a litter of kits together; Squrrielkit, Leafkit, and Spottedkit [Squirrel is dark ginger, Leaf and Spotted are both tortoiseshells] [how is also up for interpretation]
Sandstorm starts making plans again to take down ThunderClan and Fury is more than happy to help.
This comes together in an idea to steal the kits and hold them hostage until Firestar comes to get them.
The first attempt doesn't go well and many BloodClan cats are wounded in trying, but that doesn't stop either leader and they try once more. This time they manage to steal two of the kits; Squirrelkit and her brother Spottedkit.
While watching the two kits, Sandstorm is overtaken by rage at her brother becoming mates with 'the enemy' and for a brief moment she actually considers killing one of the kits. She actually almost kills Squirrelkit before she is stopped by Bane [he and the others being the age of older apprentices].
Bane becomes the watcher of the kits and he bonds well with his cousins and feels pity for them. When he learns his mothers' plans, he convinces Omen to help him carry them back home before any needless death happens. Omen is hesitant at first, but agrees and the two carry the kits back to ThunderClan.
When she learns about this, Sandstorm is outraged and she considers a regular punishment until Fury insists that Bane needs to be made an example of.
Sandstorm allows Fury to publicly kill their son and Omen feels like she's the only one truly horrified at this. Talon seems openly interested in the violence and Tiger was never easy for her to understand, as they are rather withdrawn and never talked to her or their brothers as they were being trained to take over BloodClan.
Sandstorm goes on to not allow Omen to be alone and Omen has a guard with her at all times.
Eventually Omen escapes her guard and flees to the Clans, being taken in by ThunderClan, who promise to protect her.
There she meets her cousins again, plus Leafkit, and gets to know her uncles, Lynxclaw and Brambleheart. She is treated with love and welcoming for the first time in her life and she finds herself about to cry.
She chooses to join ThunderClan after a moon of thought as well, as she fears what will happen if she ever encounters her mothers again. She is given the name Lightpaw.
Eventually Sandstorm does attack again and Lightpaw tries to hide, only to be found by her brother Talon and attacked. He almost kills her only to be killed by Firestar.
This outrages Sandstorm even more.
She attacks Firestar and takes away one of his lives, but before she can do more harm, she is attacked by Lightpaw.
Lightpaw fights her mother off and Sandstorm swears that she'll have her revenge and that ThunderClan will never be forgiven
Lightpaw tries to reason with her sibling, Tiger, but they push her away and lash out, angry that she let their brother die She tries to reason more, but it's useless
She watches as they leave
.
BloodClan does return in the form of Tiger, eventually, but my brain didn't plan that far, but Sandstorm eventually does pass away and Tiger kills Fury in a silent retaliation against her as they never forgive her for killing Bane.
She and Fury do also end up with another litter; a ginger tabby she-cat named Wrath, and an albino tom named Wisp.
Lightpaw eventually earns the name Lightstep and she's the one chosen to represent ThunderClan in the Great Journey.
Spottedkit/paw ends up being killed by BloodClan in a random, aggravated attack and Squirrelflight almost dies in the same attack, but survives, unlike her brother
Squirrelflight eventually becomes mates with Shrewpaw/heart, who survives in this AU and they have a very happy and healthy relationship
Lightstep originally is crushing on Feathertail, but she passes away. Later she actually becomes mates with Daisy and the two are very happy and comfortable wives to help take care of kits who need help raising.
Swiftfang leaves ThunderClan and ends up joining WindClan to get away from all the drama involving his family. He never takes a mate or has kits and he's perfectly happy just living a nice life.

Note
actually with the half clan stuff you've been posting it reminds me.
What The Fuck is tigerstar the first's whole Deal with hating half clan cats but at the same time wanting to Unite All The Clans™️ [under himself]?? like.
if he succeeded with that it's almost certain that there would be relationships between tigerclan members who weren't originally in the same clan, and that's not really any different?
and. i guess it could be him writing it off as "oh no you can't be SURE where their loyalties would lie!!" but., obviously his own loyalties didn't align with the clan of his birth, seeing as he attempted a coup and then took over leadership of a rival clan once that failed. and he was thunderclan on Both sides of the family!
tyranny and bigotry ain't logical babes
(why am i like this with words i know i can't spell)
anyway. it's not logical. people aren't logical. bigotry ain't logical. tyranny ain't logical.
you can form a rationale, but that don't mean it's sound.
people have explored all sorts of relationships re. tigerclan in fics, and i don't want to bring up any specific examples lest i sound critical, but i think: tigerstar would have had to make a call. i don't know what it would have been, but he would have had to.
yeah, it's not any different, but it's not like. it's not like these things make sense. we can say, "well, they're one clan now," and okay, sure, that obviously breaks down the longer you pick at it, but it doesn't have to be logically sound. it just has to make sense to tigerstar,.
yeah he sure don't have loyalties...but he Thinks he does. that's what matters. i haven't read tigerclaw's fury and no one is allowed to tell me if it disagrees with my understanding of tigerstar bc i don't Want To Know. i'm out here in blissful ignornace bb.
anyway, no, it's not logical. i'm gonna ramble bout misty au under the cut, if you're not aware of that, brief summary (cws at the beginning, please read 'em), but no, it's not logical and that's because these things aren't.
anon i assume ur still here but mb not anyway.
thank u to the person who listened to me go through all of tigerstar's logic because my brain is Crystal Clear on this man. crystal clear.
and he fucking. has. kits with mistyfoot in the misty au? like damn dude that's Super Definitely Checks Out Makes Sense /s
like damn. he has a rationale for it:
also re the queen thing -- now that i'm already rambling about my own work, there's a Lot about that bit where tawnypelt says "have the queens eaten" and tigerstar says mistyfoot hasn't because like -- ordering a queen Should Be unthinkable. they get to do Whatever They Want. they are raising children. they are the most deadly warriors. you don't -- you don't fucking disrespect a queen. so he's being very -- hey riverclan, riverclan look how much fucking control i have. he already has leopardstar through stonefur, and mudfur through preventing mudfur from treating featherpaw (therefore impairing his usual free reign as a medicine cat). and there aren't any kits in riverclan atm, so tigerstar can't be a dick to the next big leadership position, but -- he can use mistyfoot for this. anyway sorry i've just put a Lot of thought into exactly why tigerstar does what he does how he does it
so. i told y'all i have thought this man's thought process out in Detail. this au is one of the most internally consistent things i've written.
(in that i have just, a very good internal idea of how everything works. that's what a hyperfixation does to u baby)
anyway. i mean but that's terrible logic, we can All agree that's terrible logic. not terrible in that "this wouldn't work as a control tactic" because it absolutely does, it's like, the whole reason mosspelt doesn't try to help featherpaw
and so mosspelt is now in this position where...she knew what was happening to her daughter, and...should she have tried harder? would that have made things worse? it certainly made things worse if mistyfoot interfered and remind me to explore the fact that all of riverclan is deeply aware of that fact like damn stone and storm missed a Lot that no one wants to talk about but...that's her daughter. and now, you know, pretty understandably, feathertail feels abandoned by her. and feathertail is So out of it. like she's just. so not there. as you tend to be when you're dying of sepsis. and mosspelt -- is no longer her mother in the sense that she would be a comforting presence to feathertail.
(sorry for the long paragraphs i was rambling in discord)
so like, it's great for a control tactic but is that really a good reason to justify having half clan kits. tigerstar what the fuck were you even planning on doing with the kits. were you going to kill them? i don't think so
Tigerstar snorts. "I'm not cruel, Mistyfoot. I know how to take care of a kit. After all, both of mine are still alive."
but like. how were you going to explain That hypocrisy.
and at the end of the day it's not logical, that's the thing. he's not doing this for any rationalization he makes. everything he says, even the fact that it's an excellent control tactic, is all a cover for "tigerstar is a fundamentally terrible person"
(He calls her Goldenflower, and even he seems surprised by the name.)
so yeah. it's illogical. that's how these things work.

shadowclan — year one — newleaf
well this was a doozy.
like riverclan, i had to do a lot of research to identify all potential cats. unlike riverclan, i had a lot more books to check. or more accurately, yellowfang's secret is a bad book that made it impossible to make sensible decisions.
with that in mind, my explanations might be more brief. all the same principles (maximizing youth, unless i need someone to be an elder, etc.) apply, we just have aggreivated the previous problems.
but let's get into it.
leadership
leader: brokenstar (17 seasons, 9 lives)
deputy: blackfoot (20 seasons). blackfoot, flintfang, and fernshade are all shown to train at the same time as clawface and nightpelt. i was unwilling to dig through yellowfang's secret to see if one litter is made into warriors first, so i placed blackfoot as the younger litter, to help lend credence to his retirement.
seer: runningnose (17 seasons)
warriors
brackenfoot (34 seasons).
finchflight (32 seasons). father to dawncloud's kits, but a mentor to yellowfang's littermate. this is as young as he can be to accomplish that.
scorchwind (28 sesasons). he is not mentioned in the prophecies begin, but he is the father of cedarkit (cedarheart) and rowankit (rowanclaw), so i've concluded that he's alive.
boulder (23 seasons). (apprentice: wetpaw.) joins shadowclan as an apprentice. i've assumed he's 2 seasons at that time.
russetfur (23 seasons). despite not being mentioned until later in the prohecies begin, she joins shadowclan at the same time as boulder.
clawface (21 seasons). (apprentice: littlepaw.) while it's difficult to place exactly when he's born, i intend nightpelt to be as old as possible. nightpelt mentors brokenstar "soon after becoming a warrior", so this was the age i went with.
fernshade (20 seasons).
flintfang (20 seasons). (apprentice: badgerpaw.)
stumpytail (15 seasons). (apprentice: brownpaw.) cinderfur, stumpytail's littermate, is said to be old when he becomes deputy, but stumpytail is brokenstar's apprentice. this is the best age i can arrange.
cinderfur (15 seasons). while he's implied to be an elder when he becomes deputy, given his age, i did not retire him.
tallpoppy (12 seasons).
whitethroat (4 seasons). he straight up just shows up in shadowclan. his age is therefore as young as possible.
darkflower (4 seasons). see whitethroat.
apprentices
i'm interupting your regularly scheduled programming to inform you that brokenstar's actions, apprenticing cats young, are exceptional hard to interpret for age purposes. also, while it still happens in canon, due to the different death rates based on ages of cats, and the fact that most apprentices are already of apprenticing age when we meet them.
brownpaw (2 seasons). (mentor: stumpytail.)
wetpaw (2 seasons). (mentor: boulder.)
littlepaw (2 seasons). (mentor: clawface.)
badgerpaw (2 seasons). (mentor: flintflang.)
queens and kits
okay, this is our very first instance of adding a character, for reasons i'll explain when i get there.
brightflower (34 seasons). kits: marigoldkit and mintkit (father: brackenfoot).
rowanberry (27 seasons). applekit is one season old, allowing her to become applefur in tigerclaw's fury without being a warrior before then. her father is clawface.
tanglebur (17 seasons). ratkit is also a season old, similar to applekit.
dawncloud (3 seasons). unfortunately, her age is directly confirmed as being 3 seasons old. the father of her kits is finchflight. they are not mates.
blossomkit and swampkit are the kits killed by brokenstar, i believe. oakkit will become oakpaw, and since dawncloud has two other kits, she was a safe choice to be his mother.
firkit is dawncloud's fourth kit. there's never any indication of her fourth kit. applekit and ratkit are both a season older, so they can't be them. that makes her fourth kit a mystery.
i've named her firkit. she's a blue mackerel tabby (with short hair, unlike those photos).
elders
ashfur (29 seasons). he's an apprentice when yellowfang is born, making him a maximum of 2 seasons older than her.
nightpelt (21 seasons). retires early due to a coughing illness.

okay finally gave her a color change, and I’m gonna ramble under the cut!! but to start it off, Redthroat is now Quiverspark!
this actually turned out to be a hellavu lot longer than I realized, so I tried separating it into chunks, but I apologize in advanced dfjhfsdjh
Clan: ThunderClan (former), SkyClan Rank: Medicine cat Father: Shrewheart Mother: Squirrelflight Brother(s): Lionstrike, Jayfire, Alderheart, Juniperkit Sister(s): Hollyleaf, Sparkfang, Dandelionkit Mate(s): Honeytail Kit(s): tba Mentor(s): Brightheart, Leafpool Apprentice(s): Alderheart, Fidgetflake
————————————–
Some quick overviews as a general: Brambleclaw and Tawnypelt were both adopted by Fireheart after Tigerclaw was exiled - he understood being judged by something out of his control (him being born a kittypet), and did his best to help Goldenflower protect them from judgement from their Clanmates
Brambleclaw leaves and goes to ShadowClan, and Tawnypelt stays in ThunderClan - Tawnypelt is apprenticed to Sandstorm, and Brambleclaw was apprenticed to Brackenfur with Russetfur as his ShadowClan mentor
I may change Tawny’s warrior name but idk yet
Tawny, Feather, Bramble, and Crow are still chosen for the journey, and Storm and Squilf still tag along - there’s never any romantic feelings developing between Storm and Squilf or Feather and Crow, instead, Bramble and Storm end up falling in love, and at the end of it all, Storm moves to ShadowClan to be with Bramble; Feather does survive killing sharptooth, but idk if she returns to RiverClan, moves to ThunderClan (because of Hawkfrost growing more antagonistic), or stays with the Tribe
Tawny may end up being mates with Sootfur or Rainwhisker
Graystripe is still captured by twolegs, but he was never deputy - Sand had been named deputy after Whitestorm
Squilf and Leaf have a large friend group, consisting of: Shrewheart, Spiderleg, Whitewing, and Swiftclaw (oc kid of Cloudtail and Brightheart, Whitewing’s littermate); it later expands to include Sorreltail, Thornclaw, Ashfur, Tawnypelt, Rainwhisker, and Sootfur
Ash still tries to get with Squilf but she doesn’t have any romantic interest in him, but he keeps trying to push for a relationship and she snaps at him, but he doesn’t truly back off until Shrew steps in
Squilf and Shrew become mates after they get their warrior names at the lake (speaking of which, Crow may get a different warrior name), and a short while later, Squilf gives birth to Quiver
————————————–
Quiver is named bc she wouldn’t stop shivering as a kit, but she’s also very skittish, often hiding behind her parents or between their legs - she reminds her grandpa, Fire, of Ravenpaw, but sans the witnessing a murder; still, he worries about her, and wonders if she’ll be happy staying in the Clan
Quiver is apprenticed to Bright, with Fire hoping Bright could help put some confidence in her without scaring her (plus she deserves an apprentice)
Leafpool runs away with Crow, feeling like she’s no longer needed, but returns after Midnight finds them
The badgers attack ThunderClan, resulting in the death of Firestar as well as a few others (idk who yet); Sand takes over as leader, and her deputy might be Brackenfur but I’m not 100% sure just yet - Cinderpelt does survive
When winter rolls around, Squilf and Leaf leave, with Leaf claiming she needs to go under StarClan’s orders - they return with three kits, with Squilf claiming them as hers; Shrew is told the truth, that Holly, Jay, and Lion are the kits of Leaf and Crow, but it doesn’t change the fact they are his
Quiver is still an apprentice, and is thrilled to have little siblings, but feels like she’s no longer really needed or wanted - Squilf and Shrew still love her dearly, but she’s insecure and blames herself, wishing she were stronger and better
A moon before her siblings are made apprentices, Quiver is made a warrior, with her name being Quiverspark - Firestar had actually suggested the name to Sandstar before he died, saying there was a spark in her she needed to see for herself
Ash, while often avoiding Squilf as much as possible, is still rather hostile toward her and her kits when they do interact - this is noticed by Sand, so he doesn’t mentor any of her grandkits
Longtail (who’s still a warrior) mentors Jaypaw, Brackenfur mentors Lionpaw, and Tawnypelt mentors Hollypaw
————————————–
Quiver begins having dreams of cats living in a gorge, but doesn’t share them, unsure of what they mean, or if they even mean anything
Fire visits her in one of her dreams, seeing as Quiver, despite being a warrior, is still nervous and uncomfortable with her Clanmates - he suggests she leave ThunderClan to find Ravenpaw, so she can find herself in peace, explaining that Raven had blossomed when he was free of Clan life
Quiver agrees, and leaves in the middle of the night, unable to face her family, let alone her Clan, to tell them she was going to leave - however, Fire visits Leaf in dreams to tell her that Quiver is fine and has StarClan’s approval for leaving, that way none of her family panics over her disappearance, much like how he had when Squilf had left with Tawny on the journey
When Leaf explains this to the Clan, most are calmed by the reasoning, seeing that if she was given approval to StarClan it must be important, but some are angry that Quiver left, believing she had abandoned them, and Leaf was simply trying to cover for her kin - Squilf, Shrew, and the three are deeply worried about her safety
Funnily enough, Graystripe returns to ThunderClan with Millie, just missing running into Quiver by a night
Quiver does grow more confident during her journey, but it isn’t until she reaches Raven and Barley that she truly beings to thrive - she later ends up helping Raven and Barley take Bella and Riley to SkyClan, and once they reach the gorge she realizes that her dreams were actually based in reality
————————————–
Leafstar greets them, after having been alerted by a patrol, and invites them into SkyClan once she hears that Raven is an old friend of Fire and Sand, and Quiver is their grandkit; she also promises to consider letting Bella and Riley join
Quiver and Leaf end up growing close, and Leaf is deeply saddened when she hears of Fire’s passing, but is pleased to hear that Sand took over as leader in his place
She helps the Clan drive off the kittypets, and is there when Bella and Riley are made official apprentices of SkyClan, but knows she’ll need to return back to ThunderClan, having been away for a few moons
During her stay, however, she ends up befriending SkyClan as a whole, and grows especially close to the permaqueen, Honeytail - the two often spend time together, sharing tongues or even going out to hunt
Her journey is delayed as Raven’s health declines, and is there when he dies in Barley’s paws - she does her best to comfort him, and later brings him to Violet’s home so he wouldn’t be alone in the barn just yet; she stays with them overnight, unwilling to let Barley grieve alone, but dreams of ThunderClan’s forest burning, and at dawn tells him and Violet she needs to leave
————————————–
Quiver is absent during the battle between all four Clans, but witnesses the eclipse on her journey home - it rattles her deeply, and she does her best to shorten her time traveling, but doesn’t believe it’s from StarClan
Her absence during that time only fuels her Clanmates’ anger and frustration, and Ash ends up quietly fueling their anger toward her in revenge against Squilf
She makes it back to the lake in time to see the forest catch fire, and realizes her dream had been a vision - she races back to ThunderClan territory, seeing her Clanmates being to crowd close to the lake, and hears her father wailing, demanding to know where his mate and kits are; instead of stopping to talk to them, she runs past them and into the forest, ignoring their startled cries
Quiver finds Ash blocking Squilf from Holly, Lion, and Jay who are trapped in a ring of fire - Squilf is badly injured from the war, and is unable to fight Ash; Lion is preparing to leap through the fire to attack him, however, knowing he’d be unharmed
However, Quiver launches herself at Ash, taking him off guard, and with her being in better health than him due to missing the war, is able to take him on fair and square - the five of them don’t recognize her at first, however, due to her boldness
She’s able to distract Ash enough to allow her siblings escape with their mother, but this only infuriates Ash - when she knocks him aside, he grabs a burning branch and lashes it against her face, burning the right side
While shrieking and stumbling in agony, Ash pounces and pins her down, slashing her throat - however, Holly and Lion return to save her, and witness his actions; in her fury, Holly kills him, and her and Lion carry Quiver back down to the lake
Leaf rushes to get help from Kestrelflight in WindClan while Cinderpelt starts to treat Quiver, and Leaf soon returns with Kestrel and Nightcloud, who serves as his escort and an aid to carry herbs
Squilf tells the Clan what happens as Shrew comfort her, and Holly interrupts to admit she had killed Ash - despite knowing he had actually deserved it, she still can’t stop herself from feeling horribly guilty
————————————–
Quiver survives the attack, but remains unconscious for a few days - during this time, her Clanmates begin to gossip about her, a way to distract themselves from everything that had happened, and some begin arguing if she even deserves to stay in ThunderClan after she abandoned them - those mainly against her are Thorn, Spider, Dust, and Berry
She later wakes up, but is blinded in her right eye - she ends up falling back into a skittish cat because of everything that had happened, and begins to question if she should’ve ever left ThunderClan to begin with, feeling as though she had tricked herself into believing her grandfather had encouraged her to leave in the first place
She ends up sneaking out during the night again, but this time goes to the moonpool for answers - Fire greets her, and assures her the Clan will forgive her in time, and that she was not the first cat to leave their Clan, and would certainly not be the last; he also assures her he had indeed encouraged her, and says it was truly good for her
Quiver wakes up and finds Sandstar sitting next to her - Cinder had woken to find Quiver gone, but had a feeling as to where she went, and gotten Sand to follow her, believing it would be better if she had a cat who she looked up to be there
Sand is gentle, and asks her granddaughter how she is - Quiver finally breaks down, telling her how she felt unwanted in ThunderClan before she left, and telling her about Raven and Barley, Bella and Riley, SkyClan, and Raven’s death, before admitting she wished she never left at all
Sand is devastated hearing that Raven was dead, but comforts Quiver, telling her she did what she needed to do, and that she just needed to rest before bring her back home - she also tells her she has nothing to apologize for to her, but says no matter what she does, her Clanmates will always feel one way or another
Sand, Gray, and Dust do hold a private vigil for Raven
————————————–
Quiver hardly leaves the medicine den, unable to face her Clanmates, but Bright returns to her side, coaxing her out of the den, promising to help her with her impaired vision, and reminds her she’s still loved dearly by her friends and family
When Quiver leaves the den, she’s greeted with harsh looks and urgent whispers, but is nearly tackled by her mother, with her father and siblings quickly following suit - Squilf chides her for leaving without telling them first, with Shrew making a joking remark about how Squilf would never leave without telling the Clan first
She learns that her siblings have been made warriors, and while feels guilty for missing their ceremony, is proud of them - Holly is Hollyleaf, Lion is Lionstrike, and Jay is Jayfire
The three still find out that they’re not actually the kits of Shrew and Squilf, and are told by Leaf that she is their mother and Crow is their father - while they’re hurt, they don’t react like they do in canon (that means they don’t ignore Squilf, Leaf, and Shrew); Leaf does come clean with her mother and former mentor, but Cinder had already figured it out before Leaf even realized she was pregnant, and while Sand was disappointed in the lie, doesn’t punish her - Leaf stays a medicine cat with Cinder, and the Clan doesn’t find out
Breezepelt probably won’t exist in this AU, but if he does, Crow offers to cover for Night, since Breeze would be the kit of a loner or rogue, and they have a far healthier family dynamic - he does learn the three are his kits because Leaf tells him
As Quiver recovers from her injuries, growing stronger everyday, she comes out of her shell and takes any cold judgement from her Clanmates in stride, refusing to let them hold her back - she also begins to take an interest in healing, and asks to become Cinder and Leaf’s apprentice instead of returning to her warrior duties - they accept, with Cinder letting Leaf take over as mentor
She slowly begins to earn the respect and trust from her Clanmates again, and even gains attention outside of her Clan for her injuries, with some regarding her with awe and admiring her scars - tho it is a surprise she became a medicine cat, but her transition isn’t unusual considering it’s happened before
————————————–
OoTS somehow happens but idk what changes bc I can’t really remember anything from it so that’ll be saved for another time - I just remember the Great Battle
Sand dies in the battle against the Dark Forest, alongside many others (Fern and Sorrel don’t die because the reasons they died in canon are stupid), but Bracken steps down instead of becoming leader and appoints Hollyleaf as leader in his place - not sure who her deputy will be (possibly Rosepetal, Mousewhisker, or Hazeltail - someone not related to Fire oof)
Dust, Fern, Gray, Millie, Cinder, Bright, and Cloud retire; Thorn died during the battle - Bracken, Sorrel, Rain and/or Soot (still need to figure out their roles tbh), and Tawny are senior warriors but don’t retire yet (Bracken and Sorrel will be the first to retire out of the group tho, they just wanna be warriors together for a bit longer)
Squilf and Shrew have their third litter (second bio), but Dandelionkit and Juniperkit unfortunately don’t survive
Alderkit and Sparkkit are given to Molewhisker and Cherryfall when they’re apprenticed, but not even a moon into his training, Alderpaw admits to Shrew that he doesn’t want to be a warrior apprentice - shortly after, he’s given to Quiver, and she’s more than happy to train her little brother
Quiver begins having dreams of SkyClan once again, but dreams of blood and terrified figures fleeing - it isn’t until Alderpaw confides in her and Leaf about his dreams about cats in a gorge, and she realizes they’ve both been having visions about SkyClan
She encourages Alder to tell Holly about it, and while Holly is reluctant to let her siblings leave, she agrees, tho tells them they need to take a few warriors with them
Quiver and Alder soon leave with Mole, Cherry, and Spark, with Quiver taking the lead since she knows the way to SkyClan’s gorge - along the way, they run into trouble with foxes, and discover that the ShadowClan apprentice, Needlepaw, had been following them after seeing them leave when exploring RiverClan territory
Alder and Spark get along with Needle, tho Quiver, Mole, and Cherry aren’t thrilled with having the tag along, but Quiver is more willing to let it slide, believing Rowanstar would handle it when they returned, and knowing what it was like to leave without the Clan’s knowledge
————————————–
They reach the gorge, but SkyClan is gone - instead, they find Darktail and his group, and while Darktail pretends they are SkyClan, Quiver knows they’re not, but does her best to pretend she doesn’t know otherwise
it isn’t until after Alder runs into Mistfeather, and ultimately sees Mist killed by Dark, that they’re able to escape, with Quiver making a detour to ThunderClan’s old territory to throw off Dark and his rogues from their trail
After staying there a few days, Quiver leads them to Barley’s barn, where they’re greeted by an aggressive Barley, believing them to be part of Darktail’s group - however, when he finally recognizes Quiver, he apologizes and invites them in, telling them about how Dark’s group had passed by about a moon or so prior when heading to SkyClan
Quiver and Barley sit outside the barn speaking privately for a bit, with Barley tentatively asking Quiver what had happened to her - she gives him a vague answer, not willing to talk about it, but fills him in with everything that’s happened with her Clan
Barley mentions there are others in the barn with him currently, but before she could ask for clarification, he heads inside - she follows after him, and recognizes his guests: Cherrytail, Cloudpaw, Shrewtooth, and a pregnant Honeytail
Honeytail is the first to recognize Quiver, and rushes up to her, both purring loudly as reunite - it’s after Honye’s reaction that Cherry, Cloud, and Shrew recognize her as well, and are relieved to see a friendly face again
Quiver introduces them to her little siblings and Clanmates, as well as Needle, saying she was a ShadowClan apprentice with a thrill of adventure - Needle’s grown on her during the journey, tho with Needle’s strange reaction to any questions regarding ShadowClan and them worrying about her whereabouts, Quiver’s grown concerned
When Quiver calls Cloud by her apprentice name, Cloud proudly corrects her, saying she’s Cloudmist, and tells her her siblings Blossompaw and Hawkpaw are Blossomheart and Hawkwing - but when asked about Duskpaw, Cloud exchanges a look with her mother and quietly says that he died a few moons prior
As Spark and Needle hunt as many mice as they can, making a competition between themselves, Quiver and the others speak with the SkyClanners, and Cloud and Shrew catches them up with everything that had happened, with the fire and their first meeting with Dark, and Dark driving them out with his rogues - Cherry then interrupts and tells them that she, Cloud, and Honey had stayed behind instead of leaving with the survivors, since she and Honey were in no shape to travel; Shrew had joined them a few weeks after the Clan had left, since he had been one of the few who had been separated from the Clan and unable to return to them in time
————————————–
Honey and Quiver catch up privately that night while the others sleep, and Honey tells her that she was a surrogate for Shrew and Macgyver, with only a moon left until she gives birth - Quiver congratulates her, guiltily relieved that Honey hadn’t found a mate, but unwilling to actually admit she does like her more than a friend
Honey then asks Quiver what happened to her after she left SkyClan, and Quiver slowly admits to her what she’d gone through - explaining her fight against Ash, becoming a medicine cat, the battle against the Dark Forest, and everything that’s happened with her siblings; Honey presses against her and admits she wishes she’d been there for her, but Quiver assures her not to worry, and says that she and her Clanmates can join them back in ThunderClan
The next day, the lake group and the SkyClanners say goodbye to Barley and head out, making their way back toward the lake - Honey and Quiver stick close, with Shrew occasionally checking in on Honey to make sure she’s alright; both her and Quiver recognize he’s channeling his worry for his mate and doubling down his concern for Honey, but Honey assures him she’s fine, and that Macgyver and the others will be fine as well
On the way back, Needle and Alder get separated from the group after they’re chased by two loose dogs, and when they reunite with the others, they’re carrying two starving kits who they’ve named Twigkit and Violetkit - Honey takes them in, and while Cherry can’t place it, she swears that something about them is familiar
————————————–
When they reach the lake, Needle tries to take Violet with her back to ShadowClan, but she’s refused by the others, with Alder protesting that she should stay with her sister, and Cherry adamantly insisting that those kits must be Hawkwing’s kits (Twig and Violet are still the kits of Hawk and Pebble, but Pebble is not the daughter of Sparrowpelt and Tinycloud - unsure who her parents will be just yet, she may just be a former daylight-warrior)
Needle heads back to ShadowClan - Cherry, Mole, and Spark race ahead back to ThunderClan to let their Clanmates know that they’ve returned with some SkyClan cats, and Quiver and Alder join them a few moments later with the others in tow
Holly is interested, and agrees to let them stay in ThunderClan, seeing that Quiver trusts them and seeing that they’re warriors who need a place to stay while their Clan is MIA - Honey moves into the nursery, still nursing Violet and Twig, but is warmly greeted by Daisy, Fern, and Lilyheart
While not everyone in the Clan is impressed, no one outright challenges this, and Cherry, Cloud, and Shrew join the warriors’ den, though keep close together, wary of their new situation
————————————–
The next Gathering, Holly has the SkyClan cats stay in ThunderClan, unwilling to introduce them to the other Clans just yet, but unlike in canon, Twig and Violet stay behind
The Gathering goes as normal, but Rowanstar steps forward and demands that ThunderClan gives ShadowClan one of the kits - Holly denies him this, and coldly reminds him he can’t even control his apprentices, showing he shouldn’t be responsible with a kit; Misty and One pretend not to care, but it’s clear they’re both very interested in this new drama
Rowan snaps that ThunderClan is keeping yet another prophecy silent, but Holly rebukes him, saying that there’s no proof that those kits are in any prophecy, and firmly states that they are SkyClan kits, and will be staying with the other SkyClan kits in ThunderClan until the rest of SkyClan can be found
Alder is hurt that Needle went back on her promise about telling Rowan about the kits and the prophecy he received, and Quiver is furious at Rowan for trying to separate the kits - Quiver even interrupts to deny Rowan his “claim” over a kit, and Rowan finally backs down, realizing it was not something he could win, seeing that ThunderClan was ready to fight to keep both kits, and that neither RiverClan or WindClan were willing to side with him
However, him backing down only fuels the belief that’s a weak leader with some of his Clanmates, and after the Gathering an angry Needle confronts Alder, telling him she thought they were friends and that he’d back her up - Alder tries protesting, telling her that they are friends and that it just wasn’t right to separate the kits from each other, but Needle won’t hear it
————————————–
Dark moves into ShadowClan territory, and even though Needle knows how dangerous he is, she leads him into the camp and Rowan is driven out, followed by Brambleclaw, Stormfur, and Puddleshine (unsure if Rowan will have a different mate and kits - Bramble and Storm may have kits through adoption or surrogacy)
With increasing tensions from Dark and the Kin, and Onestar suddenly becoming increasingly hostile to everyone outside of WindClan, ThunderClan is tense, and Holly is worried Dark will go after them next and they won’t have help from WindClan or RiverClan
During this time, Quiver, Leaf, Alder, and Puddle meet the other medicine cats at the moonpool, and Quiver gives Alder his full name - Alderheart
Alder gets another vision of the remaining SkyClan cats staying in a barn, and he recognizes it as one they passed by closer toward the lake - he tells Holly and she allows him to share his vision with the rest of the Clan; as he describes the cats he saw, Cherry interrupts, excitedly telling them who he saw, with Hawk being one of them, and when Alder says he looked similar to Twig, Cherry proudly says she knew Twig and Violet were Hawk’s kits
Holly denies anyone looking for them, however, saying she can’t risk any warriors leaving in fear of Dark attacking them - however, Quiver steps forward, saying that she’ll go; before her sister can refuse, Quiver presses on, saying that the SkyClan cats will recognize her, there were three medicine cats there, and that she’s left the Clan alone before to find them
Holly recognizes the last bit as a warning that Quiver was going to leave no matter what, and reluctantly gives in, telling her to be safe - Cherry tries to convince Quiver to let her follow, but Quiver asks that she stay with her daughter and granddaughters, and that she’ll return with the rest of SkyClan soon; before she leaves, Honey, who’s now close to kitting, tells her to be careful
————————————–
Quiver is able to leave the lake territories without being stopped by rogues or a patrol, and is able to find the barn Alder saw in his vision - there, she’s stopped by a hostile SkyClan patrol consisting of Hawk, Firefern, and Macgyver
Fire is the first to recognize her, and excitedly greets her, apologizing for the hostility, but before she can explain why, Quiver guesses it was because of Dark - they’re surprised she knows, but bring her back to the rest of their Clan
Leaf greets Quiver, and like the rest of her Clan, are surprised by her scars, but no one comments - instead, Leaf admits it’s nice seeing a friendly face again, and asks if they’re close to the lake; Quiver assures them they are, and that she was there to bring them to ThunderClan, telling them that Cherry, Cloud, Shrew, and Honey were already there
Hawk rushes up to her and asks if there was anyone else, but Quiver shakes her head and tells him she and the others had only found them in Barley’s barn, and that they hadn’t come across any other SkyClan cats - she hesitates, and then says that they did find two kits, and Cherry is convinced they’re his
This has a mixed reaction on Hawk, who’s thrilled to hear his kits are alive, but when asked if there was any sign of Pebbleshine, Quiver shakes her head, and he realizes she must’ve died, knowing she would’ve never abandoned them
Quiver comforts him the best she can, and reluctantly explains that Dark and the Kin were now at the lake, and had taken over ShadowClan, with most of the Clan siding with him - Leaf is furious, and demands to know what the other Clans are doing about it; Quiver explains ThunderClan is willing to fight but is unable, as WindClan has shut their borders and is refusing to help anyone outside their Clan, and RiverClan has taken a step back, refusing to do anything unless they’re involved
Although angry and reluctant, Leaf gathers what remains of her Clan and has Quiver bring them to ThunderClan - they’re able to get back to the forest without interruption, and SkyClan is greeted by SkyClan rather warmly despite it at all
Leaf finally meets Squilf and Leaf, and realizes that Leafpool had been named after her
————————————–
Leafstar and Holly get along well, but Rowan is still bitter, and is rather cold to SkyClan, blaming them for Dark taking over his Clan - Bramble gets fed up and publicly calls Rowan out on his behavior
I haven’t really thought through AVoS too much, but Dark and the Kin attacks RiverClan, Needle realizes her mistakes and turns against them, and the five Clans finally unite to drive the Kin out, with One and Dark both dying in the lake - Needle survives, but asks to join SkyClan, saying ShadowClan was not her home since she’s never fit in; although Leaf knows Needle had brought Dark to ShadowClan, she agrees to let her stay, telling her she’ll need to work hard to prove herself
Needle may get a different name, but I’m not certain
Rowan steps down after all of this, seeing that he is not the leader ShadowClan needs, but Bramble tells him he was a good leader, but was unfortunately leader at the wrong time - unsure who becomes leader in Rowan’s place
————————————–
The time between SkyClan being reunited in ThunderClan and Dark being driven out is long enough for Twig and Violet to be made apprentices, with both being apprenticed by Leafstar to SkyClan warriors, and Honey has her kits (unsure of how many) - Shrew and Macgyver that they were able to be there when they were born, and are both extremely proud fathers
Before SkyClan moves, Twig admits that she wants to stay in ThunderClan, feeling more at home there despite everything - Hawk and Violet are devastated, but Hawk sees that Twig would be miserable in SkyClan, and gives her his blessing; Violet is hurt, but understands
Violet is still Violetshine and is mates with Tree, but Twig is named Twigfall or Twigshade
————————————–
SkyClan finds a place to stay deeper in the forest behind ThunderClan, and can travel along the river leading from the moonpool down from the lake without crossing into ThunderClan territory - however, most of those they lost during the journey to the lake don’t return, including Frecklewish, but Fidgetpaw is able to find his way to the lake after finding Barley’s barn and getting directions from him
Leafstar is reluctant to ask the other Clans for help to finish Fidget’s training, but Quiver offers to join until he’s fully trained - Holly has taken notice with how comfortable her sister is amongst SkyClan, and is saddened to see that she’s far more comfortable with SkyClan than she is with her own kin in ThunderClan
Holly pulls Quiver aside and asks her if she wants to join SkyClan permamently - before Quiver could say anything, Holly assures her she wouldn’t hold it against her, and tells her she just wants her to be happy; Quiver finally admits she does feel more comfortable with SkyClan, and after their conversation, Holly and Leafstar talk about it, with Leaf agreeing to let Quiver join them permanently, promising Quiver would be well accepted amongst SkyClan
Quiver says her goodbyes with ThunderClan, promising her family she’ll see them during Gatherings (and maybe the occasional border visit), and moves into SkyClan’s new home as their new medicine cat - there’s some tension between her and Fidget at first, but he soon warms up to her and the two grow close
Quiver and Honey become mates and all of SkyClan knows it, but no one cares and stays quiet about it all - it’s not hurting anyone (plus that rule is stupid in general)
Honey and Quiver both play a large role in Honey’s kits’ lives, so they have two fathers and two mothers - depending on how many, Shrew and Macgyver will name one or two and Honey and Quiver will name one or two as well (leaning more toward four kits tbh)
Finleap and Twig are not a thing - Fin stays in SkyClan and Twig doesn’t take a mate
————————————–
that was far longer than I meant, so kudos if you’ve read everything!! sdgjhkfsdhj
but yeah I’ve thought out certain plots more than others, and while I really don’t have the interest in writing everything out as a full fan fic, I maaaaay end up writing certain plots as drabbles! there are some I wouldn’t mind writing out, and I’d just include a lil about at the beginning or end of each fic
one day I will also have a full body ref but not now sdjhsdfhj - it’s 3am and I still need to get ready for bed rip
also I didn’t check anything in this post so there’s probably mistakes sfdgjhsdfhj

Note
I mean, in addition to the inks/kinned discourse, I guess the entire Warriors and Maximum Ride series are problematic by default--Warriors especially because it even has a novella from the point of view of the major villain for most of the series (Tigerclaw's Fury)!
it’s been ages since I bothered to keep up with warriors
and yeah, james patterson and his army of ghostwriters are super mega guilty of child abuse /s

warrior cats: recommending reading order
so a lot of people who dont follow me for warrior cats but are intrigued by it have asked me to give them a list of books to read in the series and the order to read them and this is my personal list of what books i think are the most important to read/which ones i would consider are worth skipping and the order of the books to read them in.
please note that if you havent read warrior cats before but want to get into it, its a long series. the books are only abt 300-400 pages [not counting super editions] and are rather easy to read, but the books themselves span for six arcs that include six books each and is still ongoing, and there are TONS of side books that you can also read too. the quality of the series is also a big turn off for many people, because while warriors is fun to read at first if you’re someone who likes animal series, if you’re an older reader who is used to mature books/books with um characterization, you might want to stop at a point.
note: the books in the ‘optional’ section after i list the arcs in order are books that i would suggest reading in this order, BUT you can wait to read the super editions/novellas until you’re done reading the main series - both options work!
so, in order:
the first series/the prophecy begins arc: this is widely considered the best arc and it’s the first series, the first book is into the wild and the last book is the darkest hour; start reading here!
firestar’s quest: the super edition that takes place AFTER the first arc. if you are someone who would consider yourself to be a reader who can only handle small series/doesnt want to read the rest, i’d suggest to stop here if you want to be done with warriors.
OPTIONAL BOOKS to read before the second arc: bluestar’s prophecy, tallstar’s revenge, the rise of scourge manga, tigerclaw’s fury, the ravenpaw manga. while not absolutely INTEGRAL to read, most consider these books to be generally good and won’t spoil the rest of the series for you if you read them here.
the second series/the new prophecy arc: the second series that follows after the first series/firestar’s quest. starts with midnight and ends with sunset. again, this arc is a little lesser in quality than the first, but most consider it to be an okay arc that doesn’t deviate too much from the series.
OPTIONAL BOOKS to read before the third arc: the graystripe & millie manga, tigerstar & sasha manga
the third series/the power of three arc: this arc is either a hit and miss depending on how much you love the protagonists - some people are very fond of lionblaze, jayfeather, and hollyleaf as a whole and these are usually the people who enjoy this arc the most, but if you’re only fond of one or two of the siblings, you might not enjoy it as much. starts with the sight and ends with sunrise.
the fourth series/omen of the stars arc: this series is another hit and miss but the fandom isn’t as divided on it; many consider this series to be very slow and taxing. it’s a slower pace than the first three arcs and many start to see the drop in quality when it comes to characterizations, to the point where many of the main characters just arent really. likable or do much, but the last book in this arc is one that  many consider to be one of the most important books in the whole series. begins with the fourth apprentice, ends with the last hope.
OPTIONAL BOOKS to read after this arc: hollyleaf’s story, dovewing’s silence, crookedstar’s promise, skyclan’s destiny, the leafstar & skyclan manga [read that after skyclan’s destiny though!]
THE FIFTH SERIES/THE DAWN OF THE CLANS ARC is one that i consider to be optional: the fifth series takes a biiiiig leap into the past of the clans and isnt in the order of the rest of the series. it’s optional if you want to read this right after omen of the stars due to it being published after it, but you can also read it after you’re done with the sixth series. it’s optional, many people like this arc but some dont. begins with the sun trail, ends with path of stars.
OPTIONAL BOOKS to read before the sixth series: hawkwing’s journey
the sixth series/a vision of shadows arc: this is the current series and the one that is still ongoing; many say that this one is a MUCH higher quality than omen of the stars and worth reading. this is right after omen of the stars in the timeline of warriors. the first book is the apprentices quest. after reading the current books [the last book thats been published as of 3/18/18 is the darkest night] read tigerheart’s shadow.
OPTIONAL BOOKS that you can read after being done with the main series/the ones i’ve listed above: the field guides!!! [the ultimate guide, code of the clans, cats of the clans, secrets of the clans, battles of the clans; these are just fun side books that are nice to read if youre REALLY into warriors], cloudstar’s journey, thunderstar’s echo, mothflight’s vision, mapleshade’s vengence, goosefeather’s curse, mistystar’s omen.
books that are just generally considered to be awful/not important to the main series and many would tell you are not worth reading: yellowfang’s secret [you may love yellowfang but trust me this book fucking sucks], pinestar’s choice, leafpool;s wish
DO NOT READ THIS BOOK: spottedleaf’s heart. im serious. this book is in it’s own category because its generally considered to be the worst warriors book and absolutely no one likes this book; the content of it is extremely upsetting bc it deals with csa and many survivors have said that this book is upsetting and please just. do not read this book, it’s terrible, dont even read it to see how bad it is tbh [i have to warn ppl abt this book bc you might see people talking abt it but im telling you not to read it, you dont need to and its just. really bad]
warriors is kind of a frustrating series and it’s very long, and i would warn people that it deals with mature themes like death [including infant death/death during childbirth/graphic deaths] and they can get really depressing sometimes, but if you want to give at least the first series-firestar’s quest a try, i would honestly recommend it!!!
[ also - yeah i probably missed like one or two books out there but as you can tell theres a shit ton of books in this series im trying ok ]

in tigerstar’s fury, tigerclaw notes that dawncloud and stumpytail were close friends as apprentices. however, stumpytail was brokenstars apprentice back when he was brokentail. dawncloud was made an apprentice a couple moons or so in to brokenstar’s leadership.
now normally this is the part where one might say ‘lmao the erins cant keep their timeline straight’ but i think it’d be infinitely more funny if all these accidents were just cats misremembering or not giving a shit about each other. like in this instance tigerclaw’s like ‘oh they look close. guess they musta been like best friends as apprentices or whatever. i think i definitely remember seeing stumpytail hanging out with a cat as an apprentice.’
or like for dovewing’s eyes it could be that so much crazy shit is going on around the 3  (plus ivy & holly)’s lives that theyre like ‘you know what dovewings eyes might as well be fucking hot pink because frankly i do not give a shit with Hell On Earth happening in about 2 weeks’

okay you know what?
fuck thunderclan, shadowclan has too many cats.
fucking yellowfang's secret fucked shit up again. ohhh i'm sorry is cinderfur "old for a deputy" no fuck you. his littermate was brokenstar's apprentice (also he's yellowfang's sister's son), meaning he is, at most, not even four years old at the start of into the wild.
and then tigerclaw's fury had to go make things worse by just inserting applefur, and also confirming a bunch of yellowfang's secret cats are still alive.
thank you so much tigerclaw's fury i'm absolutely sure having two applefur's in shadowclan won't cause any problems whatsoever
