Dear Vector Prime, are there any notable Cybertronian folk tales you can recount? Something akin to Johnny Appleseed or Paul Bunyan?
Dear Titanic Tale,
You've heard the story of Xal and the epic of Thunder Cross, but as a species with a very long lifespan, we have more, many more than that. Come close and have a seat, and let me tell you a tale.
Legend has it that the first bots to leave Cybertron did so via space bridges, with blind luck and sheer guts leading them every step of the way. Bravest of them all was Catena the Bridgelayer, with arms the size of Titans and a megaklik-long stride. She built the first space bridge to Luna 1—one-way, they say. And when she got there, she built the other portal of the bridge leading back to Cybertron. And when the bridge didn't work, she broke into transwarp itself using her mighty Forge, and hammered the hyperspace into place until it did! Some old bots—mostly superstitious types—hammer their fists three times before crossing the space bridge, just for luck.
What's that? Just one more? Okay, okay. But be warned: this next one is not for the faint of spark.
Once there was an evil bot from Kalis, who made himself into a Headmaster. Never mind his name: know only that he was one of the worst bots you'd ever meet. One day, his Headmaster partner died. Such was the Headmaster’s grief and spite, that he lived on solely as a body, forever searching for a head to replace the one he had lost. It is said that the Headless Headmaster sneaks up on unsuspecting ‘bots to tear off their heads—but he is never satisfied, as none can match the Tech Specs bestowed by his original partner, and so his cranial collection only grows. If ever you should stumble across a Transformer whose head is missing, be on your guard… should you wish to keep yours.

Review: "Thunder Cross" (Arcade, 80s August Special)
Review: "Thunder Cross" (Arcade, 80s August Special) | #gaming #retrogaming #80sAugust #scifi #retrogames
Welcome back to 80s August, The Splintering’s month-long celebration of the greatest decade since the unification of Japan under the Tokugawa shogunate! Today, we’re going to look at Thunder Cross, an a side-scrolling shoot ’em up (or simply “shooter,” as we called them back then) released in arcades by Konami in 1988. It’s important to note up front that I am looking specifically at the US…

ASC Thunder Spoilers
some of y'all are fuckin weird about Squirrelstar/Brambleclaw
by that I mean the few people that viscerally hate Squirrelstar as if she personally killed their mother, plan to boycott the series until she dies, & are trying to pass off Brambleclaw as a completely innocent, misunderstood, wounded uwu baby with an annoying, naggy wife whose sympathy from the fandom is undeserved.
like i get it's just a fictional series about cats but the way some people try to justify Brambleclaw's abusive traits, claim that Squilf deserved to be mistreated by Bramble for one reason or another, act like those abusive traits aren't actually that bad, that they don't exist, or that they're just normal behavior creates some really horrible implications about the way people recognize & sympathize with those in abusive relationships. they may be fictional cats, sure, but passionately ranting about how badly you want the abuse victim to die & how innocent, misunderstood, & "overhated" the abuser is is very uncomfortable idc.
i'm not saying people can't dislike Squilf or even that they can't like Brambleclaw as a character, but when talking about these very real abusive traits that affect people in real life, if your first reaction is to try to justify them & pretend like they're not actually abusive traits that is genuinely disgusting & has really scary real life implications.

Old art posting time! This was a concept for an Rage-form esque formchange for Vivian i cooked up last year revolving around grand magic! The general premise is that the user gains access to a plethora of high level magic attacks (Ex. megaflare, meteor) at the cost of your health bar instead of your magic bar!

Waiting For Thunder
It was too hot inside. So Redd and Lohn were out on the porch, waiting. Listening to the stormchasers’ radio feed - a faint chatter, ongoing, all treble and no bass. Listening to the rain. (Redd tenderly gives Lohn a haircut, and somehow they end up kissing.)

I have written a version of the Ed/Stede reunion where Stede thinks the black greasepaint makeup look is ridiculous, but what if Stede is just 100% Ed-sexual and thinks the scary Kraken Blackbeard look is really, really hot?

Happy Holidays, Vector Prime!
We have a lot of holidays over the winter but what are your favorite Cybertronian Holidays, where do they originate and how are they celebrated? The more the merrier.
Dear Festive Fan,
It probably won't surprise you to learn that, like humans, Cybertronians have a wealth of holidays—often known by different names across realities. One held around this time of Kilo-Cycle would be Deliverance Day—the story, too, varies; I spoke earlier of Thunder Cross and the Cyber-Solstice, but for many protoforms across the multiverse, it is the Arisen who delivers gifts on this occasion. I do remember my sibling delivering presents to the fledgling societies of the Firstforged—little did any of us know that this good deed would pass into myth! I know Alchemist has kept up the tradition, when our sibling has been indisposed. Your kind has similar legends, I believe—during dark times, a good bot must always arise to bring good cheer to their fellows.
Later in the year, we celebrate All Spark Day, marking the day when the first Cybertronian arose from the surface of Cybertron. We hold the Parade of Metals, a celebration of the substance that gives us all life, and sustains us. It's a time for togetherness, for sharing stories, and merriment.
During the Festival of Primes—also called the Primal Procession, or the Ceremony of the Unending Circuit—we commemorate the Lineage of Primes, begun when Prima first passed on the Matrix of Leadership. Many Primes, honoring tradition, have also passed on the Matrix to their successors during this festival.
You know, listing them out like this, I realize that my siblings and I all feature heavily in these festivities. Perhaps it makes sense that my favorite holiday is one which I had nothing to do with: Chosen One Day. I could never have imagined that an occasion created out of greed and egotism would transform into such a time of sharing and kindness!
So, in the spirit of Chosen One Day, I shall retire for the night, and spend some time with my loved ones. May whatever festivals you celebrate fill you with love and good cheer, and may your wires never cross, and your luster never dull!
