thinking about eddie doing casual acts of strength and unintentionally turning you on. like he can lift things and open things so easily in comparison to you (amps/tools/opening jars or heavy doors etc) and you find it so sexy but he’s got no idea the effect he’s having on you cause he’s just existing (bonus points for plus size reader realising the ~possibilities~ like he could throw you tf around)

eddie definitely falls into the “scrawny but strong” stereotype

like you said he doesn’t realize he’s doing it, of course to him it’s just doing normal tasks or helping you out. but what makes it click is when you randomly ask him to help move around some furniture in your home, but you’re not really helping and the whole time just sort of watching him and gawking. the way the beads of sweat on his forehead moisten his fringe a bit, or how he’s actually super focused on something for once. the way his muscles flex has you subconsciously grinding yourself against the seat and it’s doesn’t go unnoticed.

now every time you two make out or have sex or really do anything, he’s always making it his business to just lift you up cause he knows you’ll blush. he knows it gets you revved up, and i ram he just slings you around like it’s nothing. it doesn’t matter how many times he’s lifted you up it catches you completely off guard every time cause where tf?

“And this is Will Livingston, he works down at the library with-” Tommy cuts himself off when he sees Ellie’s face. Her mouth is dropped open, eyes wide as she just stares at them. “Ellie what-”

“Did you say Will Livingston, like, the Will Livingston?”

Ellie glares at Tommy, face completely frozen as she awaits his answer. “If you mean the pun book guy then yeah, nothing to special but-”

She turns to Will at that comment and watches as he rolls his eyes, smacking Tommy in the arm. Ellie then swears she’s gonna have a stroke when she realizes, their friends. Tommy is friends with the Will Livingston.

“Oh my god, this is insane, okay, well I’ve read Volume Too like a million times and I only got like a split second look at Volume One but it was so good. Do you have a Volume three, I don’t think you have a Volume Three but how cool would it be if I-”

“Okay. Ellie.” Joel sighs, grabbing her by her arms to pull her back to him. With every word she spoke she was walking closer to the man, her backpack already on the ground to pull out the notebook she’d been using for her ‘pun ideas’. “Let’s give the guy his space.”

She turns to look at him, her cheeks red with excitement. “But Joel you remember what I was telling you, pictures. He’s gotta know about the pictures. MR. WILL!”

Joel closes his eyes, annoyance flooding his veins, if he hears one more thing about her ideas for Volume Three, he might just throw himself off a building. “Ellie honey, he’s right there, there’s no need to yell.”

“Oh.” She relaxes a bit, seeing the look on Wills face. “Right.”

They all sit in awkward silence for a moment before Will clears his throat, putting his hands in his pocket to give him something to do. “Well it’s, um, it’s nice to meet somebody who enjoys these things as much as I do.” Ellie looks at Joel who just smiles at her, nodding back to Will. “Now I’d love to hear your ideas, but I’ve got some things to finish up in the library first.”

Her face falls as she scoots back, falling into Joel’s arms. “Oh” She whispered quietly and he releases his tight grip, holding her in more of a loving way instead of treating her like a feral dog.

“Well, that’s okay, another time. Right Ellie?” She nods, chin falling onto Joel’s hands.

Will stares for a moment longer, watching her pick up her backpack in defeat. What in the hell was he about to get himself into? “But, you’re welcome to come with me. I’m mostly just stacking books today, it’s mighty boring without a sidekick.”

He watches her face light up again as she looks up at Joel, eyes pleading. “Can I, please?”

He smiles, kissing her forehead. “I don’t see why not.”

Tommy holds back a laugh at the utter relief on Joel’s face, and a bit of it chokes out when he watches him mouth ‘good luck’ to Will.

“I’ll be back before dinner, okay?”

“Okay.”

She gives him a kiss on the cheek before following Will inside, pulling out her notebook of ideas. “So first of all, we should do pictures. You need more pictures.”
