This picrew I came across while browsing the PoE tag is really cute and of course I had to make my Watcher Eloi and all three of his lovers with it because these idiot men (affectionate) together have come to mean way too much for me.

My thoughts about how this polycule becomes reality under the cut:

In my personal canon Edér is Eloi's first "true love", someone he's been pining after for years and years - only for Edér to turn him very gently down during their hunt for Eothas. Eloi and Tekēhu eventually get together instead... but meanwhile Edér has thought things through and come to the realization that maybe he is interested in something more with Eloi after all, not to mention that maybe he's never really been strictly straight either because befriending certain fish boy has made him have some... interesting thoughts as well.

Then, after an awkward encounter that leaves Edér wondering if it's even possible to be jealous of both Eloi and Tekēhu at the same time, the men talk things through... and decide to give a try to all three of them together and see if it might work.

Surprisingly enough, it does. And then, one alcohol and whiteleaf fueled night they spontaneously invite Rekke to join their bedroom activities and... the rest is history. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Obviously I have given this all very much thought (too much, actually) and have a much longer, much more detailed version in my mind about this all, filled with angst and misunderstandings and lots of pining and feelings and eventually smut and fluff... If I ever get enough motivation, I'm sure I can make a nice fic out of it all.

But with my habit of coming up with tons of ideas and then never really doing anything with them, who knows. Heh.

i've been coping with pain by playing with the princess luz AU in picrew off and on all day. bonus: i now know MUCH BETTER what the main triad (hunter luz amity) look like.
