Hey! I was wondering how you think the spiderverse characters would react to Male reader Spiderman that can jump really high because he was bit by a jumping spider? (I may or may not be asking this because the spiderverse oc I made was bit by a jumping spider. 😅)

I just asked for ATSV asks so thank you 😼anyways I think that-

Miles would probably find you cool rather quickly. In fact you probably saved his life the first time you met. You were called to Pavitrs earth by Jessica to accompany Gwen and you caught him after he glitched and fell. For a second he thought you were swinging but nope you were just jumping super high. “Can you just naturally jump this high?!” You laughed at his shock. Later on he definitely asks where you got those hops from cause he’s pretty sure that’s not a normal spider power.

Gwen was sent to another Spider-Man’s earth in order to help out but the threat was far more powerful than they thought so they sent backup to the backup. It was you and Hobie. Watching you hop around just saving civilians while Hobie dealt with the villain was honestly pretty cool and she definitely forgot where she was for a second. Eventually she’d snap back into it and start helping as well. Afterwards she introduces herself and asks about the jumping thing. Probably makes a corny ass joke about it. Finds it pretty sick honestly.

Pavitr was still pretty new to not only being Spider-Man but also the SpiderSociety so he was still meeting tons of new Spider-people. When he first met you, you were jumping around the spider society, “So are you jumping this high from some sort of limb enhancement or?” He’d ask while his head moved up and down as he watched you. When you tell him it’s because a jumping spider bit you- he finds it so cool. Pick him up and jump with him in your arms now. He finds it so fun and his giggles are so cute as you hop around the SpiderSociety with him.

You were introduced to Hobie through the SpiderSociety. His nonchalant rebellious behavior towards Miguel and his system drew you to him and you both started talking. When you brought up the fact that you could jump super high because you were bit by a jumping spider he jokingly doesn’t believe you, egging you on to “give it a go then,” just so he can see it in action. Finds your bouncing funny and compliments the ability. Probably gives you some silly jumping related nickname.

Miguel would’ve went to your dimension because of an anomaly, he’d be pleasantly surprised to see you holding your own and it would take him a minute to recognize that you were mostly jumping around and not swinging as much. Of course he’s met many spider people but none with the ability of super jumping. After capturing the anomaly he’d question you about the ability and you tell him it’s cause you got bit by a jumping spider. Sees your potential and probably recruits you based off of that alone, saying how the multiverse could use people like you.

Peter B would be shocked to say the least. I mean all spidermen can jump pretty high and move pretty fast but you’re jumping high. “Woah kid where’d you learn to jump like that?” He’d ask with a laugh as he witnessed you in action. When you tell him you were bitten by a jumping spider he just laughs. “Man why does everyone else always get the cool powers.” Unofficially adopts you for sure like you are his son now and you can’t fight it.

Arachnis: So, you’re still questioning about my world and line of work?

Miguel: It’s unlikely we recruited a Spider-based hero who has no variations of Spider-Man’s enemies.

Arachnis: That should be a good thing since we’re already dealing with doppelgängers stealing our power source. *Hooks up their tablet to the computer*

Peter B. Parker: What are you about to show us?

Arachnis: Video feeds of the agents doing their duties. Lyla, is everything ready?

Lyla: Yep! *Plays the video*

Miguel: This is where we caught the Goblin variant.

Arachnis: Yeah, back on Omega Earth where I freaked out because we were on their territory.

Peter B. Parker: Huh. Sounds like you two had fun on your “date”.

Lyla: Wow. You have so many video feeds. *Plays another one*

Arachnis: Peter, everything is heavily edited in case newly recruited agents are too squeamish when reviewing these feeds.

Arachnis: I added a passcode to the feeds for security reasons and only agents can access them. *Points to themselves*

Lyla: *Plays another feed* These look fun.

Arachnis: Oh yeah. For odd reasons, he likes to add titles and thumbnails like if they’re cinematic episodes or something.

Peter B. Parker: You have a training bot?

Arachnis: We had one, but everyone destroyed the thing. Originally, it was a cleaner bot and some agents decided to rebuild it as a killing machine for petty games, and it was completely demolished because it tried to eliminate us all.

Peter B. Parker: Oh. At least you’re okay.

Miguel: [Y/N], why aren’t you in any of these feeds?

Arachnis: I wasn’t recruited yet until later and had stealth missions during those times. I have some clips with me in them. *Shows some exclusive feeds to Miguel from their phone*

Miguel: *Watching intently* *Secretly impressed by their performance and gets surprised by the killing spree*

Arachnis: Ah fuck. Sorry. I forgot those parts. Some guards spotted me and I had to fight back.

Arachnis: Wait. Say that again? You called everything about multiple universes with their variants of Spider-people, the “Arachnohumanoid Polymultiverse”?

Miguel: It’s an accurate description.

Arachnis: It sounds stupid. Cute, but stupid.

Miguel: How would you rename it?

Arachnis: The Spiderverse sounds like a better fit.

Peter B. Parker: Has anyone seen Mayday?

Miles: *Nods* We haven’t seen her.

Gwen: Oh god. Let’s go find her.

[The Spider gang search everywhere in the building. Through the food court, to every sector, to the Go-Home area and even the darkest corners of the society.]

Hobie: *Spots a bundle of webbing by Sector 2* Found ‘em.

[Peter lifts off the flap that is attached to the funnel web and he finds a surprise inside.]

Arachnis: *Quietly napping with Mayday on their chest in the funnel-shaped web hammock*

Peter B. Parker: Awww. *Pulls out his phone and snaps some images*

Arachnis: *Wakes up drowsy and yawns* Huh? Peter?

Mayday: *Also wakes up and yawns* *Adorably rubs her eyes*

Peter B. Parker: Morning, sleepyheads.

Arachnis: *Takes out their mouth guards* Bleh.

Peter B. Parker: Huh. I didn’t know you wear retainers.

Arachnis: No, these are mouth guards. I can’t retract my fangs and don’t want to hurt Mayday.

Miles: When did you have time to make this?

Arachnis: Just an hour ago. It’s pretty easy when your role is Sentinel on missions.

Arachnis: *Babysitting Mayday again* “Spider-Mayday! Spider-Mayday! Does whatever a spider can do! She can swing, from her web!”

Mayday: *Giggling while Arachnis lifts her around the air*

Miguel: *Watches the two playing around through his monitors*

Lyla: *Over his shoulder* Stalker, much?

Miguel: What? No. They’re still a possibility that they can be dangerous.

Arachnis: Look, Mayday. Check this out, *Creates a Web Barrier* Can you do that?

Mayday: *Manage to trap Arachnis in her webs* *Cheers happily*

Arachnis: *Wrapped up like a burrito* Somebody help me.

Lyla: Uh-huh, yeah. They seem dangerous.

Arachnis: *Contacting with the others through their watch* Sorry, Miguel. Things are tense at the VP now and I’m not sure how long it will take for the mess to settle down. There are major updates about Kingdom and something triggered my friend’s buddies from the revelations.

Gekko: *In the background trying to calm Thrash down with Wingman*

Miguel: Understandable. You do what you need to do. Just…

Arachnis: What?

Miguel: Just don’t get in trouble and do not fail your duties.

Arachnis: I know, you grump. You don’t have to remind me. Maybe when things get better, I’ll be back in the Society. Don’t miss me too much, big guy.

Miguel: I won’t miss you.

Arachnis: I know you will. Tell the others I’ll be gone for some time and be back soon. *Ends call*

Lyla: You’re worried about them.

Miguel: No, I don’t.

Lyla: C’mon, admit it. I read the vitals and they don’t lie. You’re more than worried for their safety.

Miguel: Lyla, just stop. I understand they need to do their job. Just like everyone else.

Lyla: Not everyone faces their own double everyday to prevent a worldly disaster while avoiding hundreds of bullets.

Miguel: *Sighs* “Shock. I do worry for them.”

I am thinking of redrawing my old Spiderverse OC but I don’t have any pics of it so it’ll have to be from my memory. So I’ll tell you about her first!

She was based vaguely off of spiders from the Nephila genus (otherwise called Golden Silk orb weavers because their webs have a ‘golden sheen’). She mostly waits around in heavy-crime streets for something to happen, and hardly ever leaves it in terms of Spider-Man stuff. Having one neatly controlled area is easier to maintain than making the whole city a slightly less messy mess.

She naturally produces webs, but they come from right below her elbows (think that one dude from MHA with the tape arms), and so swinging around can be a little difficult. Hence: one small area of control, as it’s easier to swing around for short periods of time and/or just run, than it is to try and swing around the entire city. Also her webs have a golden colour to them, like the golden silk orb weaver, and they are incredibly durable. In fact, they are actually kind of semi-permanent, so she has to be careful where they get, because they STICK. Which is useful for stopping criminals but it’s hard of hard to actually arrest them if they’re superglued to a wall by webs that won’t break down for about… roughly until she herself breaks them apart. And she can’t really hang around the police too long or they’ll arrest her so she’s got some troubles.

In her normal day, she’s just a popular girl at her school who really likes spiders and got bitten by one once. And she was so fabulous her webs had to be fabulous too (jk, it’s just bc of the type of spider that bit her). She’s also a lesbian, though closeted, and has kissed many a fair maiden in her spider suit where her identity was hidden.

There are other spider people in her universe, she’s just the most physically intimidating, so they tend to hang around her and pick off the less important crime in and around her area ( based off of the spiders of the Argyrodes genus, funnily enough, nicknamed Quicksilver spiders, which will live on the webs of larger spiders like Golden Silk Orb Weavers to eat their smaller catches)

You managed to pick all the long form options for me, so this is going to be a little bit of a long answer-post. lol

M: Name a character that you’d like to have for a friend.

Despite having my now three fandom sons that I adore (Zevran, Crow, and now Astarion), this is actually tough, since each of those three men have their own respective problems that I'm not sure I'd put up with in real life if I knew men like them. Such is the catch of liking morally grey characters (well, minus Crow I guess).

I suppose I could choose from outside of that pool, but oh there's so many options to sift through... I'm tempted to say Isabela from Dragon Age 2, but I feel like, unless we're good friends, she'd sell me out for a goddamn klondike bar. Though, the inverse is that she'd sell everyone else out for me, because she seemed very much a "ride or die" friend once she's actually on your side.

I guess I'll just say Crow. He's the safest option, since I feel like his issues are much easier to deal with when he's plucked out of the D2 universe. He's still hella reckless trouble, but at least I would know he'd always have my back, and I wouldn't have to worry about getting a "hey I murdered someone... maybe a lot of someones" phone call. (*stares at Astarion, Zevran, and Isabela...*)

N: Name three things you wish you saw more or in your main fandom (or a fandom of choice).

I'm going to go for "in general" rather than specifics since, thinking about it, these could apply to all the things I've dipped my toes into.

Heteroplatonic relationships. Men and women can co-exist in a friendly manner. There doesn't always have to be a romance. This is honestly aimed at writers of media and not at the fandoms (because in fandom, you can do whatever the fuck you want, you're writing for yourself). For example, I was watching Across the Spiderverse with a friend and, even though we both knew why they're a thing, we just kinda went "you know, Miles and Gwen could just be friends... do we really have to have a romantic subplot here?" (This said, it is a little exhausting in fandom to constantly see that two characters can't exist in a space without being IN WUUUUUV. *stares wearily at the Heartsteel fandom* ... Yeah, as someone that imagines the boys as all just being found-family-friends, I'm not going over there. There is nothing for me there.)

Now this one IS a fandom one: BE FUCKING NORMAL. It is so tiring seeing people harassing other people over absolutely stupid and trivial shit. It is even worse when the fandom turns that brand of crazy on the people behind the media (*motions to people being weird to Neil Newbon, for example*). I know this is a tall ask that will never come to be, but... it's why I live in the walls and don't really interact with much.

Of course, when I'm put on the spot, I can't think of things. Um, scraping my brain for a third item... I guess I'd like to see LESS reducing characters to being "uwu softboy"? (I don't know if women characters get this very often, since I mostly only interact with men character fandoms and when I do read stuff with chicks, I generally don't see this.) It is a bit... tiring. Like, again, you can write whatever you want, but I feel like... if you need to sand the edges off of a character and change them to like them, did you really ever actually like that character? Or did you just like the idea of the character? I feel like, at that point, just make an OC based on them. You've basically done most of the steps to get there.

That's all I can think of at the moment.

S: Show us an example of your personal headcanon (prompts optional but encouraged)

Hmm, I have so many. I'll stick with D2, since you're more of a D2 moot.

A short one: I headcanon, gear wise, that Crow uses the Celestial Nighthawk helm with the Hrafnagud ornament (because it is mentioned that he does sometimes wear a helmet), and uses the Ashen Wings ornament on Hawkmoon. A trivial little headcanon, but there it is. A long(er) one: I guess this isn't entirely a headcanon, since I feel like it's been mostly confirmed in lore, given the frequency of characters going out beyond The Walls and ending up in towns, but I like to think there are many settlements beyond The Walls of The Last City, and I like to think that given enough time and being left alone long enough, the lingering spectre of The Concordat could capitalize on those wayward towns, left to defend themselves largely by themselves (with the exception of getting some help from a passing Hunter or two). It's just too unlike humanity to all agree to hang out in one spot. We aren't like that. We are all too prone to saying, "Fuck you, I'll take my chances forging my own path". Going along with that headcanon, in a tangential sort of commentary note: I do think, if it weren't for all the fuckery going on (the Traveler peacing out off of Earth and going into orbit, for example), keeping people's minds preoccupied, we'd genuinely have a situation of The Vanguard vs Everyone Else, because it seems to me like a lot of humanity isn't too keen on the Guardians anymore. Again, with the idea of the settlements, I imagine they especially aren't keen on them, since they could be made up of people exiled from The Last City, and people who feel left behind. Hell, we saw the sentiment in Season of the Splicer. Lakshmi wouldn't have been able to drum up that much support if it weren't for people feeling that way just a little bit. Actually, going back even further, we see that sentiment with Suraya prior to her joining up.

I guess, thinking about it, you could say my headcanon is that the real situation in the D2 Universe is that while The Vanguard and the Guardians are fighting for humanity, a pretty decent chunk of humanity has zero interest in fighting for them. Does this count as a headcanon? I don't know.

On a rambly OC sidenote: that was the entire idea behind the AU of Ardwynn being all "king of thieves bandit" living outside of The Last City, because he's such a hero "I want to help people" kind of guy. He'd look at everyone living outside and at The Last City, and at what Guardians are, and aren't, doing, and would decide to find a way to help people. Honestly, if it wasn't for Shaxx hanging out in The Tower, helping the Vanguard, Ardwynn probably would throw his lot in with The Concordat.

Favourite Ace Attorney game? honestly? phoenix wright ace attorney! everything’s fresh, there aren’t many weak characters, and the plot is remarkable (especially the fifth case). the whole trilogy is really good as one unit though 2. Favourite case? 1-4, 1-5, 2-4, and 3-5 are tied lol, i can’t make a decision to save my life. 2-1 is really really funny tho 3. Favourite defendant? as a defendant, lana skye. as a person, edgeworth 4. Favourite prosecutor? as a prosecutor, franziska von karma. as a person, edgeworth 5. Favourite ship? wrightworth obviously... ive probably put more thought into them over the last 3 years than any other ship 6. Do you think Miles Edgeworth should get another Investigation-game or do you think another character deserves a spin-off? i mean he already has two, so i guess he doesn’t need another? like i love edgeworth but he’s not as fun without phoenix around. ngl i would play a franziska game. or a maya game, or any spinoff revolving around a side character. hell i’d play hotti game if it meant it took place in the trilogy era

35. Opinion on the soundtrack of the Ace Attorney-franchise? REALLY good. really really good. i love how each game of the trilogy has different composers but each track has the same theme and feel!!!

Do you like where the franchise is heading or did you prefer the atmosphere in the original trilogy? seriously absolutely completely prefer the trilogy. i’m sorry but the rush of youth and trust is way, way more enjoyable than whatever “i’m 35 and therefore middle aged” nonsense is happening in the 2020s

Would you like an Ace Attorney anime? we have one now! honestly i don’t think it did a very good job of representing the cases, but it did do a good character remix of turnabout big top so that they’re not creepy anymore. they also did a really good job with the anime-specific cases, like the one on the train! it feels a lot better paced when it’s intended for that medium rather than just adapted. also the childhood episodes made me cry

(Wendy Oldbag, Lotta Hart, Larry Butz, etc.) honestly, i like them a lot! i don’t know why people hate them so much - i mean, i know lotta lied, and wendy is a horrible old flirt, and larry just kinda sucks all around. but they’re also pretty funny to have around! larry is a constant comic relief who reminds you how much better nick & edgey are in comparison, lotta is likeable as a general character (like in 2-4, although yeah, not remarkable), and wendy oldbag is really funny. she’s so fucking funny. none of you appreciate wendy oldbag’s quirks and you are SLEEPING ON IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

50. Do you think Dual Destinies deserved its M-rating? no idea, holy shit, it got an m-rating? i mean every game before it has had blood violence and very mild swearing, and since DD probably doesnt have anything too sexually risqué, i doubt it deserves a rating any harsher than the rest of the series

i feel like this would be a fun way to look in my brain, but here’s a few of the main character of fics that i’m in the process of planning/writting and the emotions i run off of while writing them!

phoebe stark, legacies (peter parker) - betrayal but still loving/caring about the person anyways. phoebe’s relationships have a similar pattern to mine so whenever something happens and someone’s being a real shitty person??? i’ll probably write legacies and cry about it. also the whole loving someone while being very prepared to have to not have them love you the same? idk we are just queens of longing tbh.

vera prescott, mostly ghostly (michelle jones) - grief. she goes through SO MUCH in the course of this fic??? like vera really CANNOT catch a break i feel so bad. either way a lot of it is processing [REDACTED] (it’s a major spoiler leave me aloneeee) as well as her grandmother never getting to leave the prescott residence since she died such a long time ago and she just feels so bad for her? yeah vera is a very big hufflepuff....i can’t believe i ever thought she was a gryffindor!!!

hope sterling, growing pains (dc au) - she’s anger but also she has such a hero complex? her arc is mainly her learning how to manage her shit mental health but also learning that she can’t sacrifice herself. she thinks she’s independent and she just has to learn how she’s coping isn’t....healthy??? idk originally she was just anger but it was never justified and i felt with her that if i didn’t explain it she would seem really one dimensional so i added in stuff to make her more human i guess.

liv tobin, ultraviolet (mcu but no specific character) - she’s the feeling that you can just run away from all of your problems? she’s not selfish, but she’s that self-preserving part of me that most characters of mine tend to avoid? idk she’s not the typical hero. she doesn’t have a death that happens that makes her want to become a superhero, she just gets superpowers and says “hey! let’s be a good person and use these for good!” she definitely wants glory too, and she’s not selfish for that i don’t think. i think she’s smarter because of that. she just wants to be recognized as a good person.

reese bassett, [working title] (into the spiderverse) - she’s not really a feeling. to me she’s just the girl that everyone wants to be. she’s not a manic pixie dream girl either, she’s just cool. she’s got this aura to her and miles and gwen instantly recognise that. it’s kinda chill actually. she’s in a sense just a cool gal. she’s who i thought i would turn out to be???

venus picard, [working title] (it (2017+2019)) - the feeling of being “the new girl.” she moved from across the country to DERRY, MAINE of all places. i moved from right outside of houston, texas to a small town in maine so she’s really out here being a self-insert. also i wanted to write an it fic that actually made sense like.....maine-wise. everyone’s fics either make it seem like canada/alaska or they make it less small-towny. also castle rock was based off of my town and stephen king went to the high school i almost went to so i feel like it’s my right to tbh.

america hugo, catharsis (stranger things) - depression. she’s HARDCORE what my depression feels like on the inside turned into a person. america is similarly if i succumbed fully to my depression & anxiety and didn’t have an outlet. this fic is really just cathartic, hense the name of the story. she doesn’t have the light at the end of the tunnel like i did when my depression was off the chain awful. however, she doesn’t get together with steve (she’s ace......and she has to love herself in order to properly love others so no romance for her!!!!!!!) and she doesn’t have it fixed overnight.

eleanor cate, leia, oh leia (steve harrington) - ellie, (or leia...yes steve calls her that yes i know) is the feeling of pure happiness. she’s got a good fam, she’s got a boyfriend (who is a shitbag but don’t worry steve swoops her in from billy.....) and she’s happy. she’s the euphoric feeling i get when i truly love someone (romantically or platonically) and she’s just a pile of mushy gushy love tbh. ellie is babie in all forms. but the mind flayer and hawkins in general kinda ruins that for her. whoops. also she’s just so cute ugh i love her!!!!!!! also she’s the soft oc. all of the other “soft ocs” have trauma or they have a bad coping mechanism so in reality they’re only soft in their head.

(PSA: phoebe is “soft” but she takes out her deep-rooted feelings on peter, vera goes through some deeply TRAUMATIC shit, and hope is soft deep down but doesn’t know how to express it. whoops.)

anyway i hope y’all found that interesting??? idk lemme know!!!! also i’ll be doing more as i roll out more fics....i have a riverdale au with a **coherent** plot coming and a star wars oc and some other fun stuff coming!!!!
