All the unique Zora... or mostly unique as the black one from the right is Khira and her pallet swap is Chroma, but the files were still marked NPC and not UMii so yeah... unique Sidon head does not fit into the mask. the model has separate head model when he wears the mask that hides big portions of his head X"D (Also will he grow as large as Dorephan? there might be something about rulers of Zora that make them grow larger than typical Zora, as Muzu is still normal adult size and Dorephan? that's a big boy) Once again past champion is smaller that others. She is still a teen Zora then.
My headcanon is that Zora growth is different from Hylian. The proportions change for a time until some early teen years and then they just grow bigger. So Adult Mipha would look same as teen, but closer in hight to Chroma or Yona OH also YONA! She is older that Sidon right? Probably still younger that Mipha but still, older that Sidon... nice. (I like Yona, she is cute and they make nice pair with Sidon <3) One more thing. I like Dorephan costume so much more in TotK, but Sidon got sillier in TotK X"D

{{Just imagine, that as Husk gets closer to Angel, he begins to incorporate more pink into his wardrobe. It starts off subtly: a handkerchief in his pocket, a new ribbon on his top hat, and eventually even a pink button up.
Alastor takes notice, but because Husk isn’t outright defying his orders, the Radio Demon doesn’t want to cause a scene - in fact, as Husk’s demeanor shifts with his color pallet, he’s been far more agreeable.
Husk didn’t realize how much he would enjoy the color alteration - not because of fragile masculinity, but because of how happy it makes him feel. Pink is soft, pink is affection, pink is Angel. It’s nothing like the violent and oppressive red he’d been forced to wear to cater to Alastor’s control over him.
But then one day, Husk slips up. He and Angel accidentally swap bow ties, and Alastor finally snaps. It happens around the time the Radio Demon is preparing his grand betrayal of everyone in the hotel, and as a result, he puts Husk in a full crimson outfit. After all, Hell is forever, and so is he.}}

a somewhat swap au of Scarab and Prismo. i say somewhat because its not just swapping them, i changed a lot of stuff other than just like their jobs. heehoo ok enjoy :]
text descriptions and more information under cut ^^!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Prismo -
his [physical] body is "frozen" in time
a bit more calloused over his years of working, but still considered very chill
he usually talks people down so he doesn't have the fight them
the crystal weapon is around his neck
it shoots out like a flashlight
the auras/souls of his victims get trapped in jars
pupils go starry when he does this
So here, Prismo is a god auditor! He's still very down to earth, but after years of fighting and monitoring and capturing, he's a bit worn down. That being said, he's still generally considered to be everybody's pal! The crystal he uses can't store the people he gets, so he has to carry around the jars. Because of this, he can usually only detain like two people at once, maybe three if he pushes it.
Prismo has some resentment about not being Wishmaster, but not the way that Scarab would! He just thinks he could do a better job, but he respects Wishmaster Scarab and just kinda lets it slide. He and Scarab are actually pretty close, and if he's injured or just very bored he'll go bother the cosmic bug.
Things he can do that aren't mentioned are that he can walk on walls/defy gravity, make duplicates of himself, and teleport. Duplicating himself and teleporting takes a looot of energy out of him, and considering that he is perpetually tired, he really doesn't use those abilities a lot.
Scarab -
this form resembles his physical body, but is still just a projection
he can touch stuff, but can't feel anything and can't be hurt/damaged
he's a bit more relaxed, but is still quite strict/rule oriented
the wings of his mask can open up, but usually don't
he is very big :)
the time room is less of a room and more like a never-ending labyrinth of paths
only the truly determined will obtain a wish
Scarab as the Wishmaster is a lot more relaxed than in canon, but due to his nature he is still a bit strict about rules and such. He will explain how exactly a wish will work to those who reach their goal, and if they choose to ignore that, they don't get a second chance. He usually won't go further into detail about the rules, either. This is where Prismo's slight distaste comes from, because he thinks that if he were in Scarab's place he would be nicer about it. That's about as far as that goes, though.
The main entrance that everyone is allowed through(the labyrinth) is infinite, but there is space around it(like a pocket dimension inside of a pocket dimension). Getting into the outside space will lead to the rest of the Time Room, but only Scarab has access to that. He spends most of his time floating in the abyss of the main area. There is no set path to find him, and he will instead come to whoever enters, if they're determined enough.
Scarab does not let people wander freely through the Time Room, so most of the other cosmic entities tend to avoid him because he isn't very fun. Prismo doesn't, though. Unlike anyone else who may enter, if Prismo simply calls out for Scarab, he will arrive almost immediately. Though Scarab has a 3D form, he is still confined to the Time Room, and does not find joy in watching the universes(he only does it if he's reeeallly bored, or if it's necessary). And since he blocks off the rest of the room to anyone else, he never gets any visitors, only mortals looking for his favor.
He doesn't mind the isolation at all, but he does enjoy the company that Prismo offers him. He doesn't mind being secluded, but he gets lonely sometimes. Prismo has many tales of his adventures being an auditor, and Scarab has begun keeping notes on all of them. He looks forward to Prismo's next visit always.
That's about all I have to say about them and their lore, at least as a base to build off of later, so uhhh here's they're color pallets :]
Tumblr media Tumblr media
On the left is just how they both look, and the right is just missing the gradient for Scarab so it's easier to see(they don't look super great, but im just laying out the colors)

Things had slowly begun to change the days leading up to the feast of the Tuklun arriving. They were small changes but they were there.
You began to see Kaiman more when working with Ronal and while walking around the village on your lonesome. You shared polite hellos while passing by but nothing too eventful. Though there were a few times when you shared glances across the way. Ronal seemed to notice this and each time he came into view she had you being pulled the opposite direction.
Jake had also started to act differently. He would sit by you now in meals rather than across on the other side of the family circle. Come time to sleep Jake would tuck the kids in after you giving you time to get settled into your space in the pallet before getting in. The two of you started to stick closer together when you were on an outing with family. He would always keep to the side of you that had water on it and if you were going through a crowded space he would keep his hand on your back to gently guide you through.
All of his actions confused you. You had no idea why he had started doing this, even when you would be pretending to be a couple he never did this. It felt so genuine and intimate. It just confused you.
The feast came quicker than you expected and before you realized it, you, Ronal, Tuk, Tsireya and Kiri were all in the tsahìk’s marui getting ready. Well more of you were trying to get Tuk ready.
“Two seconds Tuk I am almost done,” you sighed, working quickly to finish up her braids, the amber bead now resting in her hair. “You said that a hundred minutes ago!” She whined, “I wanna go to the party!” “Tuk. Manners.” Kiri hissed while Tsireya finished up her hair. Tuk huffed, crossing her arms. You rolled your eyes softly fixing her top, you couldn’t blame her, you and Neytiri were the same way with your mothers, you’d rather go out and play then spend the time getting ready.
“And done!” You announced pulling back. Tuk twirled around a grin finding her lips. She instantly went and hugged you tightly. “Thank you Mama,” she whispered into your abdomen. That was another thing that had changed, your relationship with the children. Since calling Tuk your own, versus calling her Jake’s daughter to the woman in the shop all those weeks back you found yourself more comfortable around them. No longer did you feel like such an outsider and the kids noticed it. Lo’ak and Neteyam still called you by your name but Lo’ak had a few “slip ups” where he called you mom.
Tsireya was quick to finish up Kiri and turned to you. “Are you ready to get ready?” She asked with a kind smile. You hesitated and looked yourself up and down. You had yet to change anything about the loincloth and top that you wore since coming to Awa’altu. “I figured I would just wear this. That is all I have.” You explained. Ronal and Tsireya swapped glances, a smile coming to the daughter’s lips. “You can go get it now daughter,” Ronal nodded and her youngest was quick to disappear into the back of the pod while you and your daughters stood confused.
“Come, let us get your hair done then get you dressed.” Ronal instructed, leading you to the stool that Trisreya used for Kiri. “Kiri, come help.” She called your eldest daughter and she was quick to come over. Ronal seperated your hair into sections, the ends curling in different directions, it was not much different from Kiri’s.
The two took their time putting little braids and pearls into your hair not wanting to make a drastic change to your looks and it was not long before Ronal was helping Tuk put the amber bead into your hair.
“I am sorry it took me so long.” Tsireya’s voice rang out announcing her presence as she came back to the marui. “Aonung decided to move it.” She huffed. Coming over to you all she had in her hands two articles of clothing. Crouching down she laid out the top and loincloth in front of you and your ears perked up while you looked at it. It was truly a work of art. The way Tsireya had it was woven with bits of coral and shiny rocks she had found during her swims, the brown and cream colorings reminding you of the sand of the beach.
“I hope it is okay,” she spoke with shyness as you stared. “I was not sure what you would like so I took some advice from your kids and Toruk gave me some of the stones.” At the mention of Jake’s name you grimaced slightly. The more kind gestures he presented you the more confused you got. “Come,” Ronal gently shook you out of your thoughts, “Eclipse is falling and I know your family is waiting.”
It did not take you long to swap out your clothes for the ones Tsireya made and you Tuk and Kiri to leave. Tuk skipped ahead of you two and Kiri walked close beside you. “Is everything alright Sa’nok?” Kiri suddenly asked, looking up at you. “You seem tense.” You glanced at her, your ears flicking down in response. “There is no need to worry Kiri,” you put your arm around her shoulder and she put her arm around you in response. “I am just thinking over things.” She looked at you with an unsure countenance but didn’t press.
When your Marui came into view Jake stood there watching his sons roughhouse while waiting for you. Your breath caught in your throat at the sight of him, seeing the paint on his body that the men helped him with, the way it danced along his body, defining his muscles and scars. It told a story that you yearned to know. But no, no. You could not do this to yourself, not after three years of nothing but hatred between the two of you, you could not let yourself fall for him after a few simple touches and smiles.
“Dad!” Tuk grinned, getting his attention. When he saw her running to him he crouched down catching her into his hands and pulling her up into the air. “Well don’t you look pretty.” He chuckled as she hugged his neck. “Mama helped me! She got us matching beads from an elder in the shops!” “Did she?” Jake smiled, turning to look at you. You did not meet his eyes, looking at some random object behind him. Jake’s smile faltered slightly before he picked it back up and bent down to set Tuk on the ground. “Are we ready to go Sully family?” His question was followed by cheers from the kids and the four of them were quick to take off by the beach leaving you and Jake following behind side by side.
“It was nice of Rona and Tonowari allowing us to come.” Jake said as you walked, “It’s good for the kids to get out and be kids.” You nodded slightly, trying to ignore the way your hands were brushing and you brought your hands up crossing them over your chest. “I cannot remember the last time I saw Neteyam genuinely laugh. I forget sometimes that he is only fifteen.” Jake sighed, “He comes by it naturally unfortunately.” This got you to chance up at him with a soft frown wondering what he meant by that.
The music grew louder as you drew closer and you could see the fire glowing, its orange tongues reaching up and licking the skies trying to eat the stars. Everyone was dancing and singing, drums pounding in your ears setting the tone for the evening. Tonight was a night of celebration, the Tulkun were home and everything was well. “Well, I shall see you later I suppose.” You muttered once you made it to the clearing knowing that the crowd would be too drunk to notice that the two of you were not together. Not waiting for a response from Jake you slipped into the crowd leaving him confused.
Your brain was fuzzy and confused as thoughts of Jake swirled in your mind. It bothered you, angered you even that he was suddenly acting so nice as if nothing had happened and you could not help but wonder if it was because of you meeting Kaiman. How did he find out? And why were you so worried nothing had happened between the two of you and you were not sure if you really wanted anything to happen to the two of you, Kaiman was just a distraction. “Just a distraction.” You muttered coming up to the table that continued shell cups full of drinks meant for the adults.
The man sitting there handing you a tiny shot glass which you downed instantly and set the cup back down. “Want something to sip on?” He offered and you croaked out a “please” as the alcohol burned in your throat. When you had a bigger glass in your hand you muttered a “thanks” and went back out into the crowd sipping on the drink.
It did not take long for your cup to be empty and the drink started to take its toll. Your senses were nulled and it felt like your pain was gone. You started to laugh, why were you mad in the first place you wondered you could not seem to remember. Soon you bumped into someone’s shoulder and you stumbled back. “Sorry,” you mumbled looking up to the victim of your attack and your eyes lit up when you saw Kaiman. “Kai!” You cheered and instantly hugged his arm. The man (who was also a bit tippsy) let out a nervous chuckle. “Hello to you too,” he gently lifted your head up with his fingers under your chin. You looked up at him with droopy eyes and a dopey grin and he understood instantly, this must have been your first time drinking Metkayinan alcohol which was known for its powerful taste and its quick affects to the body in comparison to the alcohol the clans in the forest made. “Drank a little too much?” He asked and you grinned rolling your eyes. “Just a cup or three, and a few shots.” Kaiman sighed, shaking his head. You pulled away from his arm and grabbed his hands, “Come let us go dance!” Your voice grew loud and giddy but Kaiman did not move. “I need to get you to your husband.” He said holding onto you so you would not leave as he looked around for Jake hoping it would be easy to spot his blue body over a sea of green.
You groaned at the mention of Jake. “Why does everyone keep speaking of him!” You spat, “He does not love me! I have never been touched by anyone and I am certainly not mated in front Ewya to him. His kids are not even mine! They are my best friend's!” With every proclamation your voice grew louder and Kaiman was thankful that everyone was too drunk to hear you and if they did they would not remember it by morning.
As Jake walked by Kaiman waved his hand getting the man’s attention and pointed to you now pissed standing there. Jake upon seeing you was quick to make his way through the crowd. “Our alcohol is much different from yours,” Kaiman explained, taking his hands off you so Jake could look you over. “Stronger.” “Yeah I figured,” Jake nodded having only had half a glass. “Plus she’s a lightweight.” He put your arm over his shoulder and bent down, getting your legs standing up with you in his arms. “Thank you.” He said to Kaiman and the man nodded, “Take care of her.” Kaiman responded looking at you worriedly.
Jake carried you through the crowd as you squirmed, he managed to find Tonowari and Ronal and explained that you were not feeling well and if they could let the kids stay with them for the evening, which they agreed.
“Why do you have to ruin everything?” You growled looking at your knees. Jake looked down at you as you continued. “You take my best friend from me, have her killed, then you take my freedom away and force me out of my home! I hate you.” You hit his chest. “Ewya I hate you!” Your feeble attempts did not hurt Jake in the slightest but your words did. He knew that you were drunk but drunk words were just sober thoughts that you were too scared to say. He knew you right though, he had taken so much from you and it took him too long to realize it.
You continued to struggle as he walked into the marui and he gently set you down on your pallet. In an instant you curled up your tail wrapped around you as you hugged yourself. Soft sobs began to rack out of your throat as the alcohol continued to work on you, giving you a flood of emotions. “I just wanted her to be safe.” You sniffled, “she loved you so much.” Jake sighed softly coming over to you with a shell glass filled with water and he sat down on his knees by you. A low growl rumbled from your throat and your tail flicked in warning. “I am not going to hurt you,” he whispered, “or I will try to not hurt you any more at least.” Jake knew his words were worthless compared to all that he had done to you over the years, even now when he dragged you to the one place that you feared.
“Can you take a few sips of this and then I’ll leave you be?” He coaxed. It took a few moments of you angrily eyeing him before you weakly sat up and took the cup from him. The cool water was an instant relief to your throat and you chugged it. “Easy, easy,” Jake whispered, not wanting you to choke and when the cup was empty you pulled it away from your lips with a gap, wiping the water off your lips.
You were not completely sober but the buzz had started to slowly wear off. You wiped your nose with a sniffle. You refused to cry in front of him. He hated you and you hated him, that was how it was always going to be. But you started to find yourself not wanting that any more. You wanted to be able to wake up in his arms to see him smile, go on date nights every once in a while, look at him and be happy. You hated yourself for that.
But you didn’t know that he wanted it too. Jake was mad at himself for how much pain he had caused, he knew that if Neytiri was here she would hit him on the head and call him a Skxawng. He deserved it, that and more, for hurting you, for lying to his kids.
Jake watched as you glared at him one last time before rolling over and curling up. He pulled the blanket up over you, your body tensing as he did and he could not help but wonder, was there any way to fix what he did?

Some ongoing theories on color in DFF: Ep 7
Another week another messy attempt by @slayerkitty and I to parse colors in DFF. I did a rundown of the colors in DFF ep 1-4 here and in episode 5-6 here. Let's look at and speculate on some colors in ep 7.
Tumblr media
Our first shot of Phi gives us a mix of red, blue, and tans. We also have the purple product placement which mixes blue and red.
Tumblr media
More red and blue in the background with Phi in tan. This show really likes to mix red and blue into the backgrounds so we have to wait and see if it is doing anything particular with respect to Phi (spoiler: him and Non are going to be swapping and mixing color).
Tumblr media
Phi meets Non and now Non is in the same tan tone that Phi was in previously. Non is placed with the red and orange chairs, suggesting that the orange and tan are an extension of his red. Phi is in blue. Now this is the color mostly associated with our horrendous friend group, so let's see where this goes.
Tumblr media
Phi's now in red with an orange drink (with a blue straw) and Non is in blue. The boys are color swapping back and forth. So we have non playing between red and blue similar to how he changes colors with the group.
Tumblr media
Non has the blue writing on his shirt but the red backpack, meanwhile Phi has red lettering and blue shorts. Cuties!
Tumblr media
More mixing of blue and red.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We get a montage of shots that move back and forth between them in these two sets of outfits. In one Phi is in blue and his teal bike and Non is in pink. The other they switch and Phi is in red and Non in green. Their color pallet seems more expansive than strict blue vs red. Non's red also includes oranges, pinks, tans, and yellows. While Phi's blue includes greens and teals. They're swapping and sharing color but also give each other flexibility. They're also both in brighter shades and more color than the tans they each respectively started the episode with.
Tumblr media
And of course we have the bracelets which connect them with red. A metaphorical red string of fate but also a way for Non to hold onto his own color (even when becoming blue or gray under the pressure of the group) and for Phi to always mix their red and blue.
Tumblr media
They continue to mix colors, making out in red, blue, and purple lighting.
Tumblr media
Phi mostly wears blue outside of his uniform but he has the bracelet and red around him still.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yellow still fits into the range of colors Non could wear. But it does strike me as perhaps different? Not sure what to do with it just yet if it is an outlier. It is quite up-beat. Perhaps it's another way that Phi brings out color in Non and the way they together open up their color pallets.
Tumblr media
We're back to these assholes. They're all in blues and greys as usual (with Top giving a quick preview of his future adventures in yellow). Even the curtains match. Except for Por...what you doing Por? That's not blue, grey, or your green?
Tumblr media
Non is back to a grey shirt, blending in. Or being drained really. The battery on the shirt plays with his color. Continuing to "get along" with the group is draining his color. Perhaps this is why Por is in pink in this scene, he's literally stealing Non's color.
Unlike Phi who wears Non's red and gives him his blue in a mutual and sustaining way, the group's blue drains Non's red.
Tumblr media
Next time they go to shoot, Non has a tan or pinkish shirt. He's back to trying to be his own color even if it's very weak. This is when he will fight back and try to quit.
Tumblr media
Non and Jin are matching in green. Now this could be Jin trying to match Non as he reaches out to him, but he's never really matched him before. I think this shows the way they're both struggling to break or stay with the group in a sense. Non's green pulls him out of the group's blue as he tries to leave and return to brighter colors like the yellow he last wore with Phi. It also is a piece of Phi's color in a way. Meanwhile Jin is often in either yellow (showing the way he thinks differently from the group), blue (like at the last shoot) when he's conforming more, or a mix. Jin is worried about Non, maybe trying to be kind, but here he's pulled back from yellow towards blue (the group) and he's trying to bring Non with him as he convinces him to stay.
Tumblr media
Keng's office is a mix of color. The art on the wall mixes blues and greys with red/pink/tan. There's also the filing cabinet that has red, blue, orange, and green. Keng himself is always dressed in blue, another blue person trying to mix with Non's red (yuck yuck yuck I feel gross even saying that).
Tumblr media
Phi is still mixing colors. Even the painting behind him mixes blue with oranges and pinks.
Tumblr media
Phi waits for Non and we get lights in the background. I'm not sure about the green just yet. Red, blue, and green are the primary colors of light rather than for art (red, blue, yellow). But importantly, perhaps, the red and blue aren't mixing to purple here but staying in their separate primary shades. This is also where Phi sees Non and Keng. The red and blue are present, but Phi can no longer be sure if he's the blue or Keng is.
Tumblr media
In eps 5-6 Jin mostly wore yellow. In the future he's in pink marking a color change. After he films Non and Keng he goes home and turns pink.
Tumblr media
He even crushes his alcohol can which has yellow on top and pink on the bottom marking the shift.
Tumblr media
At this point I don't think the pink is Jin matching Non, especially since he just had his rose-colored glasses metaphorically shattered in that regard. But perhaps it signals the guilt he now carries and/or the way it marks him out from the group in an entirely different way than when he just thought differently. Rather he did something horrible, but unlike the other's he has a conscience. Or perhaps it marks his shift from being more brave (reaching out to Non, as much as we can call that brave) to cowardly and ashamed. In any case he's lost his color and become another--what he did fundamentally changed him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Phi shows up to the tutoring school again. His blue competes with the blue of the school (aka Keng). Blue vs. blue
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Blue is once again everywhere with Non in a washed out tan or pink. Keng and Phi's blues continue to compete. But we also have a striking parallel to Phi and Non's first meeting with Non in tan and Phi in light blue. They've come full circle in a tragic way and Non has lost the range of color that he and Phi created together.
Tumblr media
This loss is made clear with Non losing the bracelet just as he loses Phi. No more color exchange, Non is back to tan. He's left with Keng who clearly isn't about to exchange anything with Non without taking advantage of him (draining him in his own way just like the group does to Non).
As a side note, Non starts the episode with his shirt saying "Today will be a good day" and ends with "Always yourself"--from good times to hurting Phi because he was trying to save himself. Oooof!

Finally! I will say now that the class girls will likely take a long time as well.
Kagami's first and second looks here are meant to be her pre and post character development outfits.
Buckle in, this is a long (haha) one
Kagami in cannon is clearly designsed to resemble Marinette in a lot of ways, both are of Asian decent and have blue-ish hair and blue eyes. Both have freckles and even their suits share a very similar color pallet. At least Luka was different from Adrien in more than personality.
I didn't want that for my Kagami. I wanted her too look like more than a Marinette clone. So she gets to keep her freckles since my Marinette doesn't have any. Her hair is a darker color instead of a blue, and her eyes take on a stormy grey color. And of course their body types are different, namely Kagami is both taller and ripped.
Ryuko's hair is more blue since I gave the miraculous blue, white, and gold accent to match the weather pattern on her chest. Her hair get's shorter, pinned back and is a bit more wild. It's probably got some static. Little horns and some armor to keep her extra safe as well as further resembling scales. Her suit is closer to an orange shade than Ladybug's cool red. I almost switched her to blue since I agree with the sentiment that the dragon should have been blue. But red looked good too.
I don't particularly like any of the akuma designs for Kagami. I like Oni-Chan in concept at least (hate the name) so I decided to combine that with Riposte to create her initial design. Than she gets a pallet swap and a few thorny details to represent the rose. And Bara-Oni, literally just 'Rose Demon' I ain't creative, when Lila pulls her stunt.
Kagami's personality is very similar to cannon, however her character still has some pretty harsh changes. Kagami has come to realse through Adrien and Marinette's friendship that she isn't very happy with her life. Her mother is trying to live through her, forcing Kagami to participate in fencing and putting pressure on her to perform perfectly in every aspect of life.
This comes to a head when she is given Longg. While sitting in the akumatized mech her mother became, all because she had the audacity to make friends, she actually waits long (haha) enough for Longg to explain the miraculous. When Long explains the weapon he points out that she must be thrilled to have a sword. At which point Kagami was an emotional breakdown and sobs that she doesn't even like sword fighting. That she would rather learn hand to hand combat and that she's wanted to switch for years but her mother refused to hear it.
Longg says her can change her weapon to better suit her, and she get's armor and the abilitly to summon gauntlets when her power activates.
After having this break she and Adrien sit down and try and find ways for Kagami to feel more like an individual without being disowned at 16. Cutting/dyeing your hair and getting a Tattoo are two of the results, and since Kagami already has short hair and doens't really want to go shorter she gets the tattoo instead. Subtly referencing her time as Ryuko in blue (her favorite color). And of course her mother is blind and doesn't know
Is it kind of shitty to abuse your mother's disability to use her money and get a tattoo? Maybe. But that's what you get for mentally and emotionally warping your duaghter to the point where she lies about her favorite color to please you. She, Adrien, and Chloe are in the "Our mom's suck" club together. Chloe will be collecting her for new wardrobe shopping.

Can not get over your batman mlp art, your other stuff is epic too but this just wont leave my mind.
Fluttershy as scarecrow is so funny, does she still take care of her animal friends? Does Rarityguin have an iceberg lounge?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
HI! Gothville (Ponyville) is very much a huge city in this AU much like Gotham! So there wouldnt be very many cutsy animals just running around like in Ponyville, however I do think crows or ravens frequently flocked Fluttershy for the short time she was a doctor at Arkham. She still would very much have a soft spot for animals! But rather than keeping Angel in this AU the swap out would be a crow to keep with her Scarecrow persona. With Rarity she does indeed have an Iceberg Lounge! In the AU its just her boutique but repurposed as the lounge! Id imagine detailing wise it would be a lot bigger and the colors would be more aligned to the regular cool color pallet the lounge typically has, little penguins replace the boutique horse mannequins and ofc the heavy club music atmosphere that can be heard every night.

Looking at the pallet-swaps, I can’t help thinking “Arc genes are dominant” because despite Jaune looking good with some of the other colors, putting Jaune’s colors on basically anyone else immediately turns them into an Arc.
It’s really astounding honestly
I thought it was funny the first two times the character just ended up looking like an Arc, now I think there’s a conspiracy

Doodle Dump: Misc. Edition
Time for misc. doodles~
Notes under the cut.
1: "Ikigusare Idols". Like many people, "Injection Girl" randomly appeared in my Youtube feed, and I was admittedly charmed by them. It's like they're from a bygone era, but they just put out another music video last month. Currently, my favorite song is "スーパーZ指定ガール". (Content warning for mass violence in the lyrics.)
2-4: "Clown Doll Redesign". So, since I've started doll customizing as a hobby, I tend to lurk on the Dolls and CustomDolls subreddits on the lookout for inspo and info. Not too long ago, someone posted asking for advice/critique on their doll ideas. So I sketched these (and some notes on the original design, which are not included here) as a response. In the end, I never did reply because I don't actually have a reddit account, and I thought it would be weird to make one solely to criticize someone, so I'm just posting them here.
My main critiques were that there wasn't a lot of contrast in their color choices and that the blue and red hair seemed random when the rest of the design was pink/green. So, my main goal was to increase the contrast between the pink and green, so the different patterns would stick out more and to unify the pallet a bit more. The skintones differ from the reference because the doll they said they were going to use was a G3 Frankie Stein, who has bluish skin and a prosthetic left leg, so I'm not really sure why their sketch uses the original green skin or why the silver leg is on the wrong side, but it is what it is.
The first 2 are straight pallet swaps, but the 3rd is based on a second design that the OP made. They originally asked for users to pick between the two. Most people said they preferred the blue and yellow design because it was more cohesive, but the OP replied that they really wanted to make the pink and green one work somehow, so that's why I focused on using that one as the base, but I still included a version with the alternate pallet and patterns.
Here's a link to the original thread since I'm kinda reposting their art by including it with sketch. Just maybe avoid linking back to me >_<;
5-8: "Music Junkie Soundwave". In a similar vein, there was another user on the subreddit that wanted opinions on a potential Transformers fashion doll line, citing a video that one of their friends made on the idea.
Now despite having a limited knowledge of Transformers, and I'm still pretty green to the fashion doll world, I wrote a whole-ass dissertation on the idea because magical girl/boy robot dolls are totally something I'd be into.
But, for a similar reason to the clown doll, I didn't want to make a reddit account just to critique someone (though I still have the original response in my drafts).
When I finished writing that response, I decided to sketch how I would go about the idea as it'd been proposed, and created this Soundwave doll idea. Admittedly, he's very inspired by Giacomo from Pokemon Scarlet/Violet (never played it, but I do like some of the character designs in it). I dunno if the overalls are a little dorky, but I couldn't think of another way to represent his chest-deck in a meaningful way.
9-10: "Kingsley and Mamuta". I tried to make some human? designs for them, but it's not going great. I really wanted Mamuta to still be monstrous, but designs like that aren't my strong-suit... Kingsley I'm just not satisfied with yet.
11: "OC Line-Up". Just a few OCs of mine. From left to right: Carol, The Prince Formerly Known As Frog, Shapeshifter, and Fizz.
12: "Rival". An idea for a rival to Kun3h0, ala Shadow the Hedgehog and Wario. I made another sketch recently that goes in a very different direction, but I kinda want to finish that so I haven't included it in this dump.

A Capella
I'm hoping the writing block I've been slogging through the past two months is lightening up and I'll get to some more of the prompts I've been sent!
*** *** *** *** ***
"We’re on a time crunch people! I need everyone to step it up if we’re going to get this all together in time for the ceremony!” Sevahn marched stiffly through the bustle of his crew as they rolled in large boxes of decorations and gear, strung garlands of flowers across the banquet hall, and laid wires, cords, and ropes for the laser light shows and entertainment equipment.
He eyed their efforts scrutinously and made sure everything lined up with the charts in his claws. This was easily the biggest client he’d ever been hired by, and he would be flarged if tonight wasn’t absolutely perfect for them!
“Bexts, those merkel blossoms are not the right color! They totally clash with the color pallet I sent you.”
The tall silver kloxan in question stopped arranging the bouquets and stared blankly at him.
“Do your optics need to be reset?” Sevahn marched up to the robotic figure and pulled out a pallet card. “Look, these are far too light. Some of them are nearly white! I specifically asked for rich purples and reds. Swap them out, inject them with dye, or paint them if you must, just get me the right colors within the next 15 mentiks!”
Without another word, Sevahn spun on his heels and was off to inspect the stage setup. Several crew members and techs were darting between various marks and consoles. By the looks of things, the hanging microphones and lights were just about ready. Techs were also laying wires for a couple microphones sitting on stands at the front of the stage. They were a bit obsolete (technology and usage-wise) what with the hanging mics, but some of tonight's featured vocal performers had specifically requested them.
Speaking of which…
“Has anyone heard anything from the humans?”
A booka tech by the name of Nuree perked her whiskers, “Oh yeah, I’ve heard them before! Last cycle I set up for one of their concerts on Vituka 4. They didn't use any instruments, but you wouldn’t know that if you were only listening! They were amazing!”
A few other on the crew chuckled a bit, and the Nuree’s fur flickered and reddened a bit as she realized everyone was listening.
“I meant, has anyone heard from the humans’ whereabouts? They were supposed to be here already for rehearsals.”
“They’re in the back,” a toanoaktree mumbled out slowly as they reached up to adjust the high-hanging mics. “I believe they said they were going to arrange a ‘green room’ and unpack their gear.”
With a curt nod and a short “thank you,” Sevahn was on his way to search for the humans. He’d worked with other groups of human performers before. Several of his recent clients had been caught up in the human craze that seemed to be spreading through the galaxy. Everyone wanted to hire them- security companies, shipping unions, exploratory associations, art and science guilds, and on and on.
The entertainment industry was, by no means, any different. Humans, as it turns out, love to perform and have a wide array of interesting talents. Sevahn had planned parties where humans had been hired to do anything from singing, dancing, playing instruments, swinging from elevated platforms in various acrobatic fashions, throwing multiple projectiles into the air, and “juggling” to keep them aloft, etc.
Eight cycles ago, there’d been a group hired by the Magensi Syndicate to perform what they called, “magic” at their yearly Harvest Festival. Sevahn had been busy with keeping other parts of the celebration running smoothly, but he’d been able to catch a few snippets of the show. There’d been some creative sleight-of-hand tricks that even Sevahn had to admit were pretty impressive.
The grand finale was by far the most… memorable. How by all that is bright and shining did the human sneak a “school bus” into the act and get it on stage without Sevahn or his crew knowing about it?! And what’s more- where the flarg did it disappear to after he removed the tarp?! He still hadn’t recovered from that.
Tonight’s ensemble of humans, however, was a singing group. Simple enough. There shouldn’t be any buses, school or otherwise, involved in their act.
Sevahn quickly found where the humans had set up their “green room.” It was less of a room and more of a partially sectioned-off alcove. It looked like someone hung up some cloth partitions as curtains to add a bit of additional privacy. He could hear them talking and laughing as he approached. He rustled the makeshift curtains a bit to alert them of his presence before he entered.
“Come in,” one of the voices called out.
As Sevahn dipped through the curtains, he quickly took in the surroundings. The six humans were spread out and pulling equipment and packages from various bags and wheeled boxes.
“Hello, welcome,” Sevahn looked around to try to identify the manager, Marisol, whom he had spoken to earlier on a comm call. She had her back to him at first, handing out small wrapped packages to the others.
“Ah, Akeno Sevahn, a pleasure to meet you face to face,” Human Marisol turned and stood to greet him with a short bow of the head and hand on her chest. Sevahn paused for a bit. He was used to greeting humans in their various methods, but this was the first one had greeted him in Austral Akeno fashion.
He blinked in surprise for only a mentik before returning the gesture. “It’s a pleasure to have you here with us. My team and I are at your disposal. What can I help with first to get you all set up for tonight’s performance?”
“Where’s the nearest water dispenser?” One of the humans, a tall male with a deep voice asked.
Sevahn gestured behind himself. “Just around the corner next to the catering station.
The human nodded thanks and left in that direction carrying a large empty bottle. Sevahn looked expectantly at the others.
“What time do I need to have everyone ready for mic checks?” Human Marisol smiled.
Sevahn smiled back automatically then pulled back his shoulders to attention. “Any time you’re ready,” He needed to keep a professional stance and tone. “Our first guests aren’t set to arrive for another four moorts, so there’s no rush. Our sound techs just ask that you allow them to set levels for each instrument individually, and afterward, Biert, our stage manager will come by to schedule instrument trades or swaps if you need.”
“Oh,” Human Marisol’s eyes widened a bit as her head tilted slightly to the side. She looked to the other humans in the room who all kind of chuckled quickly under their breath. “I don’t think that will be necessary. We won’t be swapping instruments.”
“You… uh, you… what?” Sevahn frowned. He looked around for instrument cases he could point out.
There weren’t any. None that he could see or recognize at least. The humans watched him with varying levels of amusement slipping into their features before Marisol broke Sevahn’s confused silence. “I thought you knew… we discussed it on the comms? We’re an a capella group?” She gestured to the others in the room who were now all smiling very widely, a few had to cover their mouths to hide laughter.
A capella. Sevahn remembered her saying that. He remembered it being said by others. There are so many different kinds of music that humans perform, he just assumed it was just the name of a particular style among so many others. He glanced around the room once again. No instruments. Is that what a capella meant? Not completely unusual, he supposed, he’d seen performances where singers would carry on parts of or even entire songs without the use of instruments. But to have an entire performance on this scale with no accompaniment? Surely not.
“I apologize for the misunderstanding,” Sevahn could feel the scales in his face warm slightly as the humans continued to try to not laugh at him. “I must admit I am not entirely familiar with the concept. Do you, uh, do you have pre-recorded music to perform with? I can personally make sure that gets to the sound techs right away.”
The curtain rustled and the human from before returned with his bottle now full of water from the dispenser. “Woah, look out! Sorry!” He nearly lost his balance trying to avoid running into Sevahn.
With their attention no longer focused solely on Sevah, a few of the other humans pulled out equally large bottles. One held theirs out expectantly with a huge toothy grin. Sevahn nearly flinched at the display, but he remembered that humans sometimes bare their teeth like that when they’re happy.
“What?” the recently returned human mockingly scoffed at the proffered bottle. “Your legs broken? You heard the director, the dispensers just around the corner. Get off your lazy butt!”
The responding sound was one Sevahn was not used to hearing. It was some sort of long drawn-out whine, stretching down in pitch then curling back up with some sort of broken, growly note. The others laughed at it. Sevahn stared straight ahead, mouth slightly pursed. Humans made a wide, wide range of sounds, hence the hired group in front of him, but he hoped that sound was not part of their show.
Marisol shook her head as her band broke into teasings and joking negotiations for water. She pulled Sevahn aside and smiled at him. He couldn’t help but instantly smile back. His scales warmed a little bit again.
“We’ve got our music sorted,” she explained over the din of her band. “No instruments, just us. Biert’s got our song list. We have a few things to unpack in here and we’ll be ready for a mic check and run through in about five moortiks, if that’s alright?”
Sevahn blinked a bit, then nodded his head. “Alright,” he straightened his posture again and gave a nod before heading for the curtained exit, “I will inform Biert. She’ll get you sorted with that when you’re ready. Let her or myself know if there’s anything else you need.”
“We appreciate it, thanks,” Marisol nodded politely as he left. As soon as the curtain settled behind him, he could hear her voice change as she turned to her band and began giving orders and try to wrangle them back onto the task.
What an odd group. He wondered if it was actually the same group Booka Nuree claimed she saw perform on Vituka 4. In any case, they were the group that the client had hired tonight, so at least someone must like their instrument-less performance.
The rest of the setup ran perfectly. Not that Sevahn would accept any less. Soon enough, the banquet hall filled with quests, welcoming remarks, and slightly overly-long speeches were given, guests of honor were recognized, and culinary masterpieces were distributed. Roaming entertainers were applauded as they wove through tables, performing tricks and feats, telling jokes, or showing off artistic displays.
And finally, the lights dimmed. Someone was speaking on stage and the guests began cheering. Sevahn didn’t notice at first, at the moment, he'd been pulled away to sort out a misunderstanding between the venue manager and one of the catering assistants. Having avoided a minor waste disposal crisis in the kitchens, Sevahn returned to the main banquet hall with a small sigh.
As he stepped into the large room, he immediately noticed all eyes in the hall were glued to the main stage. He paused. According to his schedule, this should be the main entertainment. Marisol’s a capella singers. He looked. Sure enough, there were five humans on stage, with a smiling Marisol in the wings, just barely visible from this angle, nodding her head to the beat of the song.
But what really shocked him was the song itself. They had no instruments. He was watching them with his own eyes and he could tell they had nothing accompanying them. But that’s not what his ears heard!
There were notes that sounded like they should be beyond human vocal cord capability. They ranged from bone-shakingly deep to cloud-piercingly high. There were rhythms, beats, and harmonies that came together like the humans were weaving the very sound waves into a stunning tapestry.
Sevahn closed his eyes to listen. He’d directed countless events where human musicians had performed. He enjoyed them with few exceptions. In all honesty, he actually was often too wrapped up overseeing various tasks or enacting the backup plans for failed backup plans to really enjoy the shows. But whenever he could get a moment of peace like this, he always stopped to savor the performances. And this one was one that seemed to have also everyone frozen to listen.
He’d never heard this song before. It was likely a human song, so it's unfamiliarity was not surprising. There was something about it though. It made him feel like he should start singing along. The words themselves sounded simple and easy to follow. They carried through and floated between notes like they were soaring.
He opened his eyes again, and for a moment, his brain momentarily protested at the visual evidence of there being only humans on the stage. Something about that felt exhilarating. He could have sworn he could hear a kloxan flute, or maybe an orchestral barelt, but his eyes told him otherwise.
He knew he couldn’t stand here all night, as much as he wished he could. There was always something that would call for his immediate attention and pull him away. For now, though, not a soul seemed to be doing anything but listening and watching. After a while, Sevahn could start to make out which sounds were coming from which human. The tall male who had first gone to fill his water bottle earlier was the one creating the resonating bass notes. He couldn’t tell which of the two humans to his right were the ones carrying the main melody. It was mesmerizing to watch and hear.
As the humans finished the song, the effects of its spell over the audience slowly came undone. Sevahn joined in with all the applause. He felt silly now about being so apprehensive before, and yet at the time, it seemed so reasonable to question how humans could perform an entire show without a single instrument. As it turns out, humans can make themselves into their own instruments just fine. He wondered just how many sounds they could learn and mimic to incorporate into their music.
As the cheering died down, the humans began their next song. Sevahn forced himself to move on to make his rounds through the banquet hall, listening as he went. He recognized this song. It was a popular ballad throughout the central systems. This time, the humans were really laying it on thick how much their voices could imitate a multitude of instruments. He had to turn his head several times as he walked to make sure they hadn’t pulled out a set of strings or percussions. They of course hadn’t, but instead started moving around the stage with a well-choreographed routine.
He paused once again to watch. Maybe it would be fine to just take a break a while longer and enjoy this surprising show. After all, at this point, the entire banquet hall could burn down, but as long as the humans could finish their show, tonight would still be considered a success.
He hoped he directed more large events like this in the future where Marisol's group would be hired again.

That time censorship made a new Digimon (and why it should happen again)
Digimon's English releases have honestly gotten away with a lot that many other dubs wouldn't be allowed to. Compare Yu-Gi-Oh's dub inventing the shadow realm to avoid having characters die to Digimon Adventure's dub having a prominent side character die in part of a story arc where the number of the beast is a main plot point and getting away with it completely uncensored. But censorship does still happen to Digimon and one time it created a new Digimon species.
Meet the Sistermons.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Consisting of Sistermon Blanc and Sistermon Noir, these nun-like Digimon with weapons have shown up in a few things, but it was their appearance in the video game Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth (specifically the Hacker's Memory expansion) that triggered censorship. Someone on the localization team decided that a nun wielding guns was not something they wanted in the game. Apparently it was to avoid upsetting religious groups. But Sistermon Noir is part of the plot and you can't just cut her from the game. So the localization team pallet swapped her from a realistic black and white nun outfit to a white and cyan one, edited a few other details, and renamed her Sistermon Ciel. Apparently someone at Bandai really liked this idea because they decided to make Sistermon Ciel an official Digimon, giving her a redesign to not look like a pallet swap.
Tumblr media
Sistermon Ciel has been adopted as an official Digimon. She got a reference book entry, has shown up in the card game, got official art of her with the other two Sistermons, and appeared in an episode of the anime Digimon Ghost Game. It doesn't get more official than that.
Tumblr media
Here's where I think this should happen again. Back when the anime Digimon Savers was getting dubbed into English as Digimon Data Squad, the localization team ran into a problem. One episode featured BomberNanimon, a bomb with a face and limbs, as the monster of the week. Disney was handling the localization at the time and told the dub team that they absolutely could not have a giant living bomb destroying a fairground on the show. However the team couldn't just cut this episode because it's important to one of the main character's arcs. So, in a bit of rebellion and a tongue-in-cheek reference to the show Bobobo-Bo-Bobobo, which had recently finished airing, the team decided to edit BomberNanimon into a giant orange named Citramon. And Toei (who is in charge of Digimon in anime) signed off on this change. They even came up with the name Citramon after vetoing the proposed Tangerinemon.
Tumblr media
What I'm saying here is that it would be absolutely hilarious if Bandai announces a big reveal and it turns out that the reveal is that Citramon is getting official art, a reference book entry, and will be showing up in the card game or next virtual pet. Please make it happen, Bandai.

#3 - Pac-Man (Galaxian Hardware) (1981)
Tumblr media
Who am I? I'm having an identity crisis over here...
Oh yeah. We're going there.
So, a bit of historical context for you at home. Galaxian has a bit of history in a much... seedier part of games publishing from the early 1980s. Namely, it was dirt cheap, its hardware was dirt cheap to clone, and it was powerful enough at processing video games.
As a result, a bunch of unofficial clones of arcade games based on Galaxian's hardware were created. We couldn't find if these happened to be conversion kits (which is a very different thing mostly done by official companies, which effectively lets you swap out the games across cabinets) or if these were wholesale original cabinets. These were mostly popular in countries that were not Japan or America, seeing as publishing wasn't exactly covered by a Namco or a Bally Midway over there, and nowadays these are all extremely, extremely rare. If not for the preservation efforts of arcade gamers, these would very likely be borderline lost!
There were other Galaxian Hardware clones of games, but Pac-Man probably is the most iconic one. Heck, the second most iconic one, Ghostmuncher, is just another clone of Pac-Man. ...No, we're not playing that one, are you nuts? We're only playing this one for two reasons:
It's notable. It's the first one of these bootlegs that's related to Pac-Man as far we can tell, and hey, we think this is the first bootleg Pac-Man game... Ever. We think it fits.
...It's very, very funny to us to first play Galaxian, then play Pac-Man, then play this.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
...Yeep.
Already, you can see that while Galaxian's hardware is good enough, it isn't. Good. Enough. The colors are all wrong, and the screen margins are inherently different (224x256 resolution instead of 224x288), so it ends up looking a little squished. This only will become more apparent when we enter the maze!
In addition, the text is... A little odd. So! Something we neglected to mention last week is a weird thing about the DIP Switches for Pac-Man. For those not aware, basically, DIP Switches are little settings that arcade cabinet owners could configure to customize the game to an extent. Stuff like how many coins it takes to get a credit, the game's difficulty, as well as a few other miscellaneous settings.
For some reason, in Japan only, one of the DIP Switches... changes the names of the ghosts. Blinky is Macky, Pinky is Micky, Inky is Mucky, and Clyde is Mocky. These alternative names were scrapped extremely fast, especially after the game took off in the way it did, and heck--by the time the game made it over to the west by Bally Midway, if that DIP Switch were set on in their release, all that it'd do is dummy out the names into template strings of 8 letters.
...All this to say that, for some reason, this bootleg uses those names. We don't quite get it either. Maybe this was based on a specific machine that was just configured an oddly-specific way? The fact that the default score to get an extra life is 15000 instead of 10000 (and in fact, 10k is not an option) would lend credence to that hypothesis, but there's effectively zero way to be for sure. This was a bootleg made by an uncredited bootlegging team in 1981, after all.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We enter the game and GAAAAAH.
Okay, you know how when we played Galaxian, we pointed out that the game audio was super shrill? This leaves us no choice... We must deploy an audio recording. (Light headphone warning--it's not loud, but it sure is annoying!)
Yeesh. That is extremely harsh. When we said it was only good enough, nowhere is that more readily apparent than the audio of this thing. Believe us when we say it gets worse, but we just couldn't get clean audio of it. For example, the iconic "waka waka waka" sounds more like "uuEEuuEEuuEE", and the 1-up jingle is... Literally just a solid tone.
In addition, the colors are all wrong. And it's not even like they couldn't have the pallete right on a few of these, at least--the Ghosts and especially the Bonus Fruit we understand to some extent, they only have so many colors to go around after all. But two of the ghosts are red and one is distinguished by having no eyes? And neither of the red ghosts are Blinky (well, Macky in this case), who is red by default anyways? And why is the maze yellow with blue insides, anyways? The maze is simply black and blue outlines, with zero insides at all*, so we don't even know how this one happens.
...Okay, that is a slight exaggeration--there are specified inside colors, but they literally never use them in-game in the final game. So this is technically a look at something that otherwise goes unseen in the original game without a certain glitch we're saving for later.
Aside from all that, however... Despite how garish the game looks and especially sounds, the game AI seems to be entirely intact? Admittedly, we did not study this one too hard, but the ghosts do seem to be alternating between chasing and patrolling their corners, the bonus fruit only appears after eating a certain amount of dots, and the ghost AI works as you'd expect it to. Macky beelines, Micky heads to ahead of you, Mucky takes Macky's position into account before charging you, and Mocky tries to hover vaguely nearby.
Tumblr media
Also, you know how if in the original Pac-Man, when you eat a ghost, it turns into just its eyes and returns to the ghost pen? Well, this bootleg is a little different... They lose their eyes entirely, leaving only their sheet! It honestly looks a lot more frightening than if their eyes were the only things unscathed, honestly, especially since the sheet is now a sickly pale white.
Tumblr media
Also, here's just a weird little detail. If you get up to the top of the screen, or if a ghost ends up there, the top third of the sprite is covered up entirely by this weird... black bar. The maze looks entirely normal, but anything that goes up there is truncated. We have NO idea how this one happens this time, and we don't even have a guess like the weird interior-maze thing.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We obviously were not keen to play this to the end whatsoever--both for the sake of time and also the fact that unlike Pac-Man, there is zero Rack Test. (What that means is that one of the DIP Switches will automatically clear the stage--presumably this is for testing stuff like potential hardware issues or to progress past a Certain Glitch we once again will refrain from spilling the juicy deets on.) And, uh, no thanks! We are not sitting here for hours for a few screenshots! But we had to see if there was an intermission, and sure enough, they do include them. Gnarly!
Tumblr media
So... Now that it's over, what next? Well, still in 1981, we've still got a bit of time in the early stages of Pac-Man Fever where Namco could not officially provide new games yet, but people, of course, wanted more Pac-Man in their lives. So without Arcade games, what else would they have?
...If you've seen the Q&A, do you remember the line when we said we had to clarify a video game is a game with some form of video elements? Yep. We've got a little bit more silliness to go through before we hit recognizable territory. And, hey, this next one has the backing of Namco themselves! See you then!

five hundred signatures
Hi fellas, I'm in sabbatical from this stuff right now because of some crazy drama, but I have an opportunity and it's time to embarrass myself a little, maybe a lot, with what little clout I still have on this little old site.
As my followers might know, some months ago I posted about a petition for South Park - the goal was to trumpet the fans' love of cameos and Easter egg characters and create an open letter thanking the animation team for their work in this area, and we decided to amend it to include the gentle suggestion to include Gregory and Mole in the background of a future episode.
We ran out of steam around 450 signatures, and I need your help to reach the five hundred signature goal. That's around thirty-two new signatures as of this writing.
I'm going to be honest with you -- I'd love for the Gregory and Mole thing to happen, but that's not what this petition is really about. The real goal is to say "thank you" to the animation team and let them know that doing this stuff brings some of us joy. Even fans of fairly major characters like Craig and Jimmy will sometimes point to some background Easter egg and have something fun to share. It's part of what makes this fandom great, I've always wanted to say.
And hey, if they read the letter, that's all I'm super invested in - if they give us some more cool Easter eggs, that'll be fun for me, too! I'd still love to see Gregory and Mole back up there, if this works. Who knows?
But why am I talking about this again? Me, someone with a track record of running away from failure with my tail between my legs? Me who deletes a lot of my fandom history like it's breakfast?
I have a chance to get this in front of South Park. I'm not joking, this is real. I have a shot to make sure somebody sees this.
When that happens, I want to be able to point to five hundred fans and say we have five hundred people who care about these little background details and want to let the team know it means a lot to them. It's not enough to change the world, but we're not trying to change the world, just change the little South Park world in a way that doesn't even affect the writing of the show.
I'm not going to lie to you and pretend something is at stake. All that's at stake is getting a thank you in the hands of some people who try to make us happy in small ways. Adding a little cred to Kevin and Creek's conversations, throwing Damien into a school assembly, the little pallete swaps we laugh about.
Help us reach five hundred!

Muted Blue AU
Reguri AU that pulls from other’s posts.
First is @deoxysacid’s role swap https://www.tumblr.com/deoxysacid/730102658260779008/roleswap-reguri-purple-if-you-will?source=share
Second is parts of @bunnygirl678’s post https://www.tumblr.com/bunnygirl678/728819485053730816/au-or-hc-idk-buttttttttttttttt-so-red-and-green?source=share
Then there will be Blue being scared of most ghost Pokémon like he is from Origins. (The only ghosts he’s fine with is the Gastly line)
Now for the part of the AU I’ve come up with
Agatha is Blue and Daisy’s grandma and is the reason why he’s fine with the Gastly line. (Not sure how fanon this is, but I know people agree they were ex's)
Blue gets his cocky side (that he only ever shows Daisy and Agatha) from her so she has a soft spot for him but still sees him like any other trainer during their battle.
Blue and Daisy have only ever been outside of Kanto once and that was to Alola to see family when Blue was very young (like 2 ⁄ 3 years old) and Blue only knows this because of photos. So this AU ignores any canon mention of Blue leaving Kanto.
During said visit Blue and Daisy’s parents are killed by a Jellicent while on a cruise and is why Blue is scared of ghost Pokémon. He doesn’t know which Pokémon is to blame, just that it was a ghost Pokémon that isn’t from Kanto.
The grief of losing their son and daughter-in-law Oak and Agatha break up which leads to Oak becoming a bitter old man to his grandkids. Daisy is old enough to stand up for herself but Blue becomes withdrawn around Oak and is a selective mute from it. For the next 7 or 8 years the only people who have ever heard Blue talk is his sister and grandma until he meets Red.
Red isn’t born in Pallet Town and meets Blue when they are 10 and is a month older than Blue. Daisy tries to get Blue to play with Red but he’s too shy at first, but this only makes Red want to be Blue’s friend more so he’s always hanging around Blue.
It takes a few months until Blue finally starts talking to Red even if it’s simple “Hello” and “bye”. This makes Red very happy which helps Blue warm up to him.
A year after Red has been living in town and has learnt sign from Blue and Daisy to help them talk when Blue is mute. The two of them get their first Pokémon. From Oak. This scares Blue but Red promises to stay with him while they get their Pokémon. Red picks Charmander and Blue goes to pick Squirtle but Oak makes a comment about how he’s trying to one up Red. This almost makes Blue change his mind but Red tells him it’s a smart move and how the typing matches their names.
After leaving, the only thing Blue says around other trainers are the attacks he wants his Pokémon to use. But when it’s just Blue and Red he talks more openly. A few months into their journey, Blue now has a one-sided convo where he’d just gush about Pokémon while Red listens. The first few times he does, he cuts himself short thinking he’s being rude by not letting Red speak, but Red assures him he fully enjoys listening to Blue. Red encourages Blue to gush to the point where Blue has repeated himself at least 10 times about the same Pokemon facts, but Red doesn’t care. He’s just happy to see his best friend and rival is so at ease around him.
Another few months passed so it's been a year since their journey started. They took their time to catch all the Pokemon they can, collect all the badges and help each other grow. They also hold off going to the league because Blue knows that if he became champion he would have to see Oak again he’s scared that will undo all of the progress he’s done to better himself. But in the end he goes because he doesn’t want to hold Red back.
Things proceed as normal with Blue going first and becoming champion, then Red following and beating Blue. However when Oak arrives and says he’s disappointed in Blue. Red goes off on Oak and says that they are champions together or neither of them are because they worked hard together to get to this point. Lance steps in and says he’ll allow it just this once because another region has more than one champion. But one of them has to be Top Champion while the other is only champion rank. Blue takes the rank just so he can leave and get away from Oak, leaving Red no choice but to accept Top Champion.
Once Red is crowned Top Champion, he rushes to find Blue talking with his grandma outside who is telling him how proud she is of him.
From here things continue as normal with Blue taking over the Viridian Gym, but he stays there a lot of the time to avoid going back to Pallet. Red goes up to Mt. Silver and promises Blue he’ll come back after some training.
After three years Red comes back for a few months before leaving for Unova. The two chat over the phone during this time. With Red no longer around again Blue regresses to not talking much to others in person outside of his sister and grandma since he couldn’t find a connection with the trainers in his gym.
3 more years pass before Red returns again when they are both 18 and this time stays in Kanto and promises that if he ever leaves again, he’s taking Blue with him.
The first week of Red being back he notices Blue being mute around him and worries it’s because he was gone for so long but Blue signs that isn’t the case. Red knows he’s telling the truth because Blue is a terrible liar. Red then jokes Blue likes him and catches Blue in a lie when he tries to sign that he doesn’t. For the next few weeks Red tries to coax the truth out of Blue verbally by flirting with him which flusters Blue. When he finally does admit it, he explains he was scared Red would reject him but realised that none of the flirting would have happened if he were to reject Blue.
So that’s my headcanon/AU for Reguri thanks again to deoxysacid and bunnygirl678 for the roleswap and mean Oak post that inspired this AU.
