I find it very ironic how Miguel calls Miles an anomaly (which, okay fine maybe he is but the full story isn't over yet so maybe there's more to it) but like

Compared to every single Spiderman we've seen so far in Spiderverse, HE'S the real odd one out??

He's not quippy and humorous, he's so serious to the point where it's almost comical, his power isn't the same, heck he wasn't even bitten by a spider like everyone else, his origin was that his DNA was spliced with a spider making him 50% spider. No one else we've seen in the story is Like That.

In almost every scene he stands out and is so DIFFERENT from the other spideys despite every one of them also being unique. He moves on all fours in fights/high stake situations, he has fangs, his fighting style just feels way more forceful and physical, even his general Spider design feels different because of the eyes.

Miles, despite 'never supposed to be Spiderman', fits the spidey criteria like everyone else. He's quippy, he puts importance in everyone's lives, his costume while having his own personality into it still feels like a Spiderman costume. And despite the plot of this movie, Miles still did lose a very important person in his life like every other Spiderman.

I don't know where I'm going with this but. It is an interesting choice having these 2 characters with all of these information about them and having Miguel be the antagonist to Miles' story

Another day, another log-in. The doors of Ramshackle open up once more to welcome their dear resident - their Yuu, their player.

Representatives from all dorms wait with bated breath, wondering who's going to get lucky and be allowed to give their welcoming speech this time. Some are confident, head held high and proud, words sitting at the tip of their tongue, ready to be spilled; others are anxious, fidgeting with parts of their uniform and checking themselves in a mirror - such an occasion requires one to look their best, all to make a good impression on you! And, after a few torturous seconds of waiting, spotlight lands on one of the many. Their face gleams under jealous stares of their disappointed schoolmates, a single bead of sweat rolling down the nape and bringing cool air to their skin. Everything has to be perfect for the player, and perfect it is - the words that have been rehearsed hundreds of time in the privacy of their room, the face expressions, the gestures - as they voice out wishes for another productive day and offer the log-in rewards.

To be chosen as a class partner is both a blessing and a curse. Rejoice those who have skills and smarts to demonstrate and brag about, poor are those who fall behind in studies. Leona suddenly finds a reason to skip out on a midday nap in favor of sitting out a history lesson, surprising both his classmates and Professor Trein. From time to time he even bothers to speak out, interrupting some poor kid - not like they'll do anything about it, a Kingscholar is not a force to be reckoned with; Azul and Riddle stare each other down, lifting hands at every question at the speed of light, completing tasks flawlessly, outshining everybody else with their vast knowledge to the point where teachers have to ignore them on purpose - after all, other students need their marks too... Though it doesn't stop the two from flaunting their exams results after finals roll around.

What do you mean "Twisted wonderland is not a romance visual novel"? Do they look like they care? Even the heaviest of Disney censor will not stop these boys from sneaking in a couple of flirty remarks. They WILL go against code if they have to. And if main story cannot be messed with, events are still a fair game, are they not? Watch Ace throw in bold pick-up lines and inquire about your type; it's the fifth time you're inviting him in the guest room, do you have a crush on him or something?? don't get shy now, of course he's just teasing! It's a shame that your choice of answers is so limited, the game brushes off his words way too easily...

And don't get me started at the Magic Mirror summons. To be selected as a member of the player's team is an honor like no other - that means their strength was recognized. Though some card combinations can be pretty... questionable. Placing, say, Leona and Malleus or Floyd and Riddle in one team would most likely result in a mess; be careful with your choice!

I just realized something.

12 Leo from what I remember in canon has cried like four times.

He cried when his father died the first time.

He cried when his father died the second time.

He cried during that nightmare where he'd watched his little brothers be brutally slaughtered.

And then he cried during the Mutant Apocalypse when the mutagen bomb was gonna go off and he had shoved his brothers away to safety.

This leads me to believe that 12 Leo isn't much of a crier. It probably takes a lot to make him cry and break down fully because he's either always bottling it up inside or he doesn't want to appear weak in front of his brothers. But that just makes him crying that much more impactful because seeing this strong and confident leader break down into tears is a heart shattering sight.

And I'm betting that because 12 Leo doesn't cry often his brothers get extremely protective and hostile whenever they see him in tears. Like I'm talking about full on "Who did it???? Who made you cry?!?!? TELL ME WHO DID IT SO I CAN BEAT THEIR ASS INTO NEXT YEAR-" kind of ordeal. Because if 12 Leo's crying then they know damn well that something is up and they'd be out for blood.

I keep forgetting that all my plushrump ramblings are stored in a private server... I've been depriving Tumblr of my intense analysis of the language in each blog. I'll post snippets of it for you all.

I'm sure that the acronyms are obvious enough. I'm currently fuck deep in writing analysis for specifically the limplegsakimbo blog but I paused so I could do some research into canon bro strider plushrump behavior.

not to bring up mass effect but that’s one of the most interesting things it ever posited when it came to the idea of organic vs artificial intelligence. a machine, if sentient, knows who created it and why it was created. and a person will never know that. like, even lacking spirituality, even if you ascribe all this to random cause-and-effect, that doesn’t actually get you any closer to understanding why there is a you. but a robot can look their creator in the eye, can read out the whole of its purpose, and know that no matter what it modifies, this is what it was made to be. and what if it was made limited, or flawed, or shackled. there are elements of that a person can relate to, maybe understand, but not all of it, not enough to fathom how different the experience of the world is when you have no questions about your origins.

I'm rewatching a bit of Seabound and I can't stop thinking about Wojira. Like Ninjago just casually introduced a storm spirit (storm god??) that the FSM had to have banished in order to create Ninjago, who apparently commands water and wind specifically.

Like maybe it's just me but that felt like a huge bomb drop when I first heard it? Like Water and Wind are set apart from all other elements from the start, the FSM couldn't even master them. It's also specifically noted by Wu that the combination of water and wind is incredibly destructive due to this.

I have. So so many thoughts. Like about how Nya and Morro and Euphrasia use their elements. About Nya's apparent connection to both Morro and Euphrasia. She also either parallels and contrasts both the wind elementals in ways I REALLY wanna ramble about but I also wanna keep this short hakfhskf. Like are they gonna expand on this at all??? Is Wojira gonna get brought up again? What about the shockwave she sent out when Nya destroyed her? Is Nya ever actually going to combine forces specifically with Euphrasia to show off the wind/water combo they talked about? Augghhh

this thought will always haunt me. that people talk about people who are good at studies, good at sports, good at singing or writing. people who are beautiful. but they don't talk about the people who aren't enough and never will be. the mirrorballs, the ‘this is me trying’ ones, the archers, the ‘what was i made for?’ ones. they'll never be good enough in studies to stand out in class, or good enough at writing to get a compliment, or good enough at any sports to make it their dream. they'll never be cool enough to be hang out with. they'll never be pretty enough to look at the mirror and love themselves. they'll never get called beautiful. and they know that. they know that how matter how hard — however hard they try they'll never be enough. they'll buy sketchbooks and tear away the first few pages because they didn't like what they've drawn. they'll be too scared to even have a breakdown because “what if you're faking it ?”. their parents would buy them instruments thinking they'll it play it like their friend does. but no matter how hard they try to learn it — learn how to play they'll never actually get it. and you'll see that friend of yours with whom you had dreamed of making a band, gone — being in the school band and you'll wonder where you went wrong. because even if somehow you become good, you'll never be good enough. because people will always talk about gods, and never an angel. because that's who you're — always will be. always an angel, never a god. always something and never not nothing, but never anything either. and this thing will haunt you too — how you can go anywhere you want, anywhere you want but just not home.

God, I adore S2 for having Wille and Simon have a "teen and my crush is in my class and I Have Hormones" phase so much. And them having so much history made it even BETTER. Especially the petty side of it.

Their first meeting after Christmas break in Ep 1, the classic "oh my god my crush is talking to me ACT NORMAL ACT NORMAL *acts anything but normal*" energy between them, Wille offering to get Simon talk to Sara in an attempt to do anything to further that (awkward) interaction. That "I got a haircut". God I felt embarrassed for him AND for myself, been there done that.😭

That classroom scene in that same episode. Wille feeling all giddy that he got to sit next to Simon, Simon's purposefully avoident gaze to don't let himself stare at Wille and hurt himself, Wille not being able to keep his eyes off of Simon for a second, asking Simon for a pencil(smooth there Wille, huh?😭), THEIR HANDS TOUCHING ON THE PENCIL CASE, them trying to mask the enormity of their feelings (Wille not so much😭) but failing so bad.

God I needed that classroom scene SO MUCH. It spoke so much to my soul because, again, been there done the same thing😭

Also the petty banter. Especially the petty banter. Like in Ep 2, right before they take away Wille from the classroom. Wille's "I thought you needed space because you like it so much" and Simon's "I'm just trying to come clean with my feelings. You should try it too". Them not actually meaning those words but the spiteful words just come through because damnit I have feelings for you but you are NOT GETTING THE MEMO and it's just so frustrating. AGAIN, been there, done that. (Maybe I was a very dramatic teen for no reason. ANYWAY, MOVING ON)

THE. DODGEBALL. SCENE. When I tell you I have also chucked a dodgeball at my crush like a cannonball? 😭 I remember pausing the episode and laughing for a solid 2 minutes because I WAS FEELING THE EMBARRASSMENT IN MY BONES.

Anyhoo, this is just a (slightly) unhinged way of me telling that they not only got teenage behaviour accurate to the T, but also it was such a natural progression for their arc because in S1, everything that drove a wedge between them was either a outside circumstance or something understandable(like Wille freaking out after their first kiss). There was no reason to be petty, but Wille's denial hurt Simon pretty hard, and they both know that. And it must be so frustrating for them to be around each other, with Simon nursing his hurt and Wille's with his utter desperation to get Simon back. Pettiness was a natural progression for their arc, and I'm kinda glad that we got to see their petty sides because a) it was interesting to explore them more as characters, especially teenage characters, b) it was HILARIOUS c) it just made their character development top-notch.

Ever since I posted aircorn on this site, I've seen a huge explosion of art (even if most of it was not inspired by me)❤️❤️.

A part of me feels sorta bad for all the casual ONE (and Showvember if it has any) hashtag spectators who just come for the characters of those shows (and Sodapack cuz i know half the ONE fandom is only there for them) having to witness the insane influx of aircorn ship art with no context.

On the other hand, I do not apologize for any of it, and I am super proud and grateful for the amount of art coming out of those two by other people it genuinely makes my day. Please keep it up, lol.

And the reason for the ship since I see so many people ask? Vibes. It's usually just vibes. And the irony of the two most contrasting shows' hosts getting together. That too.

He most likely learned to be snarky from them. Because Leo and Raph when given the chance literally murder people with their smartass remarks and sarcastic comments. He grew up with these two snarky older brothers who sass each other and others and murder people with words and he went-

"I wanna learn the language of the sarcasm."

And by God he fucking did it and now Leo and Raph pay for it dearly and it's comedy gold I'm telling y'all.
