Tarzan!Ingo: His Sneasler sibling wingmanning for him
(It doesn't go well)
Sfw cut for length
Ingo x Gn!reader
*inserts Hidden World reference here*
You let out an exhausted sigh, your clothes folded neatly on a nearby rock as you soak into a natural Hot Spring. Your Expedition to find Sneaslers in the wild to document their social habits hasn't been fruitful for you.
You couldn't return to the Village empty-handed; the professor had high hopes for you. Not only that, gaining the trust of Commander Komado was vital for you to remain in the village and for you to survive basically.
However, your Expedition to the mountains of Coronet Heights wasn't in vain.
Making contact with a man who seemingly has been raised by wild Pokemon. Ingo was a fascinating study, more evidence that Pokemon perhaps can live in harmony with humans. But you can't stray away from your primary mission.
You hope to pray to hypothetical Almighty Sinnoh he could take you to the Sneaslers colony-.
You freeze, hearing the sound of rocks scattering about coming from the dense rock formations covering your bare body.
The fog and the snowfall made it hard to see but you wouldn't dare leave the pool of warmth while you're equipment, Pokeballs sat on the other side of the pool.
You peer into the dense fog, trying desperately to see what could have made that noise behind those large rocks, all the while taking steps backward to reach for your partners ready for a potential battle, as a figure begins to show itself on top of the giant rock formation.
You sighed relief as the figure became clearer to you, his silver eyes deep and mysterious, silver wild and oddly Majestic Hair was unmistakable.
"oh thank Almighty it's just you..." you Mumble to yourself, fingers pinching your temples.
Ingo seemed different than usual you couldn't put your finger on it. His chest puffed out in pride with that permanent frown on his face before taking one step, not looking at where he was stepping, slipping on the rock, and letting out a hiss as he fell to the ground.
'Ok...' you watch in utter confusion with a concerned look on your face, you've studied his behavior before and this was completely new to you. Completely dropping your guard from before.
Heat rushes to The Wild man's face with embarrassment as he shakes off the gravel and dust before getting back up on his hind legs, his stance stiff and inhuman.
His eyes glance behind you the Tall cat like figure cheering him on quietly,
The cat Pokemon purred as he watched you and ingo in a distance, far enough for the fog the completely skewer him from your view. However, with his sharp eyes, he could easily see his brother trying his hardest to flirt with the human he thought was pretty.
You saw Ingo's eyes light up at his sibling waving his claws from the other side of you. Only for you to see nothing when you turn around the Sneasler hiding behind the rock as you turn your head.
You turn back around Ingo's attention catching to your legs before looking at his own. He loosens his more Sneasler stance for a moment, with much exaggeration putting one leg in front of the other.
Is he trying to mimic your walk?
How cute.
you chuckle putting your hand do your mouth. Ingo noticing your positive reaction gives a shy smile back, his lips representing a skitty; he could feel his heart fluttering in his chest. A rumbling came from his throat, purring in delight.
He continues his actions reacting little to his pelts getting soaked in the spring water. He could only get within a few feet of you before you back up, reminding yourself that Ingo maybe raised by wild Pokemon, but he is still a grown man, and you are naked as the day you were born in a hot spring alone with him; he gets closer his brother peering from behind a rock hyping as Ingo draws closer only to quietly hiss as he watches you push him away.
"ok, ok, ok, back up, mister," you affirm, pressing a hand on his chest and stepping back; his chest was firm, built with pure muscle, probably is from spending his entire life climbing mountains and surviving on what he could find or hunting.
It was survival of the fittest in Coronet Heights and he thrived;
Ingo immediately stops, his smile fading, ' what's wrong? Did he do something wrong? Did he get the human mating dance wrong?!
With his pleading eyes he looks at his brother to help.
The Sneasler doesn't give up, putting its claws under his chin, thinking of a way to help his brother snag a mate before his eyes widen, a genius idea popping in his snickering feline head. His shoulders imitate a prowling motion. He flexes his clawed hands, ensuring his adoptive brother knows that showing your strong, sharp claws is important in getting a mate...
Sadly that only works for Sneaslers, not humans.
Your attention was solely on Ingo watching him flex his fingers.
You step back again giving yourself more distance from him.
Your face goes back to immediate bewilderment when you see him hunch his shoulders, his arms out, giving you a nice full view of his muscular arms. You can only barely see his ripped abs covered in scars, telling tales of Pokemon he has fought in the past. His hands are hooking to resemble claws as he practically prowls toward your you hear a growl ripple from his throat as he gets closer. His stone, emotionless face twisted into an aggressive one.
His legs seemingly ready to pounce on you. Reminding you that Ingo could, in fact, overpower you if he really wanted. And you would be powerless to stop him. He gets closer, his arm out to touch you. To grab you?!
His brother watching from a distance, all too pleased with his idea, gives Ingo a thumbs up, encouraging his brother to turn up the heat.
Before you can do anything, your hand connects to his face forcefully, pushing him with all your might and making him stumble over into the hot water.
" I don't know what's gotten into you today and go, but I think it's time for me to leave."
You had an irritated look on your face; Ingo looked in horror, watching you go to gather your things, his brother immediately hiding from your sight as you fully turned around.
The wild man tries to run after you only to lose his footing slipping into the water and falling face first.
You look back for a second, rolling your eyes at him.
What a wonderful reminder that this man is supposed to lead you to the Sneaslers.
Putting on your clothes, and before leaving the fog, completely hiding your figure in view.
Ingo growls in frustration before softening into sadness. Glancing at his reflection, he balls his hand in the first, hitting the water as his brother comes out from his hiding spot to comfort his brother
Ingo has yet to give up him, and his sibling will regroup to draw up a new plan.

The Truth of the Matter
There it was, right in front of Rose. Dragonspiral Tower. It stood high, higher than any manmade structure she had seen in the world of Pokemon. A veritable skyscraper of stone, marble and raw power, the hair along the back of her neck rose like hackles as the woman stared upwards. What would she find? How would Reshiram be able to come free from his imprisoned state? Would it happen naturally or... would there need to be a catalyst?
Would she even make it?... hah, probably. This was nothing! Nothing she couldn't handle in the least, a grin beginning to crack along her lips as she nodded, stepping forward.
She began her climb.
Rose sat down, the first large flight of stairs having led her to the fallen pillars of a once majestic square within the tower. Dragonspiral was in disarray in ways that matched some of the more distraught ruins she had seen in the Coronet Highlands. Speaking with Mutt and traveling there herself had given her a healthy dosage of the history that Volo sought to uncover. Stories of the Celestica people who once roamed the Hisuian hinterlands, far beyond Sinjoh. Upon one she sat, Lucien giving a gruff rumble as he looked about quietly with her.
History was within these walls. So much could've been done, could've been said from between these pillars and along these tiled floors. The rush of water just below them all gave her the notion that despite being multiple stories up, she was still rather early on in the climb. How long had it been since this world had seen this place in all of its splendor? How many Pokemon found their way here to seek some form of peace of their own? How many humans, for that matter? Hmm. It wasn't good to dwell. Her knee would get stiff, it was time to get going.
She climbed higher.
Barry peaked over the edge of the heightened landing they were upon. The water below trickled about, but where they were was high above that, the sound barely reaching their ears by this point. Spiral staircases circling about the central column of the tower, and they were a couple hundred feet above the bottom. This high up, the wind whipped through the holes in the stonework a bit more pointedly... and with winter not yet releasing its hold, it was still rather chilly. Rose lightly pet along the Sylveon's head before rubbing along her arms to make sure the jacket of her uniform stayed on firmly.
A gentle peer upwards as her legs took her towards the next floor, stairs coiling about, she was beginning to take note of the narrowing walkways. The crumbling wasn't just along the walls in a place like this, and if the pillars being on the ground was any indication, weathering could've taken many of the floor's foundations with it. Her hand came up to return both of the Pokemon walking about with her, and she picked the pace back up. Despite the pain flaring in her knee, there was progress to make. And she wasn't risking her family in the process of this.
Higher, climb higher, Rose. But pace yourself. There is... a feeling building within me... And I worry you aren't taking things slow enough.
The central pillar stood before her, holding up the peak of the tower. Her eyes peered upwards, and with a gentle tap of Abraham's wing as she brought him out as carefully as possible, she rubbed along it softly to check its state. A wince from the Braviary as he extended it made her shake her head. No. She wouldn't put him through any extra pain to make things easier for herself for a small moment. He was a new addition to her family, but that didn't mean he got less consideration. Back into his Pokeball for safety, she would be able to do this even with her knee screaming at her.
This room... scared her. A look down, and the half of a thousand feet above the ground was apparent. She grimaced, eyeing the rather precariously placed "path" upon her. The stonework was almost set up to be a test, rings of stone connected by blocks that she hoped held the weight of a normal human. But the cold wind billowed. The air had grown just a bit thinner, enough that her breathing was more ragged. Puffs of steam escaped her mouth as she glanced up, and she carefully dug her cane into the ground to keep herself steady as she hopped from ring to ring, back and forth. And as she came across the next set of stairs, her knee was howling. Pulsing with pain. Injuries did not simply leave one be, and her own one was dangerously close to preventing her from continuing. She took a step forward.
Rose. Rose, I can feel myself... brimming. The sensation grows. But you... you must be careful! Stop and rest if it is needed--!
Her knee buckled.
Right at the apex of the climb, it gave out. Her eyes went wide, and the blur of air as she shifted to the left made a curt curse fall into the open air. Along the edge of the stairs themselves. A fall that would ruin everything was coming. Her teeth grit. Her eyes closed. Her hands reached out to grab something. Anything. Anything at all!
A horn caught her side. A Samurott, her very own Nanami. Right there. Right behind her. Ready to make sure nothing happened to his family, just as she did for him.
But another had reached out. A hand, grasping onto her own outstretched cane. A strong grip. A firm tug. And with Nanami's help, the young man's voice grunted out as he got her up and onto the floor she was trying to reach this entire time. She fell onto the ground with Nanami nosing at her worriedly, a wheeze and a cough wracking her entire body as she panted for a few seconds.
She couldn't see straight. Doubt mixed with the adrenaline that the fear had caused, and her body quaked with tremors. She almost made it! She almost goddamn made it on her own! But... she almost just had much worse crop up for her. Had she not let her Pokemon be their own thinkers... and had this stranger not been here...
Her eyes finally turned up. And in the light of the sun, a young man stood. A black and white cap upon his head. Green locks settling down along his shoulders. A rather amused smile as he panted gently in response, leaning up with gray eyes glancing down kindly upon her. Faintly, he adjusted his white jacket and brushed the hair off of his shoulders, sighing. "That was, ah... quite the show. Second one I got to see from you."
Rose furrowed her brow, still panting gently. Before being dragged a bit more firmly onto the more flattened area of the pillar-laden peak she had climbed up to reach. Lucien had burst out around the same time, and only now did Rose look to her side to notice Barry was holding onto her arm, ribbons curled all the way up her forearm with the Sylveon vibrating from the stress. He was smiling outwardly. He was not smiling internally, and neither was Lucien, staring firmly at Rose with a look that bordered on judgmental for her trying to attempt to do this all on her own. As she began to shrink back a bit from the scrutiny her team were giving her, the young man laughed a bit. "Hey now, don't give her too much of an issue... you all know she was risking it for your sakes. Wasn't she?"
Back up went her eyes, and she nodded slowly. "... She was. You..." Her eyes took in what she was finally looking at. "You're N." His own eyes gave a blink at that, but he didn't lose the smile, letting it settle into a kinder state than before as he pulled one foot up onto its toes, pocketing his hands into his pants.
"Well, I was told to expect recognition, but that still catches me a little off-guard. Rose, right? You're supposed to be from some far-flung time and you know of me?"
"Considering you seem to know who I am, I'd be less surpriiiiiisssssaaaah..." Well. There went the adrenaline spike. Her knee. Her goddamn KNEE. Her lips pursed, and Barry tensed up even further, though Nanami was already digging into her bag. A little bit of a tug outwards, and a potion was now in his jaws, being held up to N. Please. Graciously, he accepted it and knelt on down to look her knee over.
"... Aggravated that pretty good, huh? I remember when I took this climb. I had every conviction in the world at my back, and even I found myself awestruck by it. Pokemon should never be made to suffer." A spritz, and Rose inhaled deeply before exhaling. the pain always flared a bit as a potion was applied... "But neither should humans. Or those inbetween."
Rose kept her breathing steady with a few moments of patience before she let her knee stretch out. Then back up. Let the potion work. About thirty seconds of gentle, back-and-forth motions, and the pain was finally beginning to truly subside. It was a dull roar by now.
"Rose, you really ought to be more careful."
That voice. Her ears perked up, and she looked back to the edge of the room. And quietly... he landed. Despite his size, despite his power... there was a grace to his movements that only sent up a few bits of dust and rubble, his claws settling upon the stonework of the peak with a click that even she'd struggle to make as gentle.
Reshiram. Standing proud, his wings gradually fluttering before he settled them down along his front, glancing down at Rose with those same blue eyes. The same ones that held a fire that matched her own convictions. But so much... kinder. So much softer than she knew of the one from her dreams. His gaze wasn't nearly as sharp, not nearly as directly challenging...
This wasn't the Reshiram she knew. And N approaching the massive dragon told her as such, the white, feathered beast leaning his head down to settle beside N's. And... nuzzle at him. Their smiles were practical mirrors of one another's, and as Rose's own family circled her... she had to realize that the Reshiram here was N's own family. The Dragon of Truth, having found someone he could call family... it was honestly...
I... is that... myself?
Rose's ear flicked. N glanced at Rose, as did his Reshiram. All three of them heard him speak. And as she pulled out the Light Stone, the freed Dragon's eyes flickered softly. "... and there I am... I had been waiting for this moment." He grinned softly, a bit more confidently, and that glint in his eyes began to look closer to the Reshiram she knew.
He leaned back. And with a curt roar into the air... the orb began to float upwards. A pulse of fire escaped from the Dragon, and while Rose flinched, N opened his arms to let it hit. And a warmth engulfed them both, far more gentle than she would've ever expected. It curled about, pulsing outwards once more. The pain in her knee began to fade faster than ever, and within a few moments, she began to stand upwards to watch the powerful roar come outwards once more. It should've been ear-piercing. It should've shook the tower.
But no. The serenity of the air was not being disturbed. His motions were so very careful. His power was perfectly controlled. And the Light Stone had been taking in the power pushed onto it inwards. It pulsed. It thrummed. And almost like a Pokeball was being opened...
A far more desperate roar outwards was heard. It shook the foundations with its depth. N kept his arms outstretched as Rose stood her ground, looking up. That was him. That was the Reshiram she knew! That was the power she expected from a deific being of righteous fire! And the pulse he gave out coincided with his wings outstretching. The fire blasted out, and the force of it shot upwards. A crackle of fire to burst the sky clear of any cloud. To extend the truth of the world to any corner it could reach, to speak the words of his Chosen to anyone that needed it! And with a prompt crash downwards, he breathed out, rumbling the tower's form with his landing.
He inhaled. Rose inhaled. She was almost compelled to do so.
His tail flared with power. Rose's eyes pulsed a brighter, cooler blue for a moment.
And with a slow, shared exhale... both turned to look at one another. They locked eyes. Rose lifted a hand. She pointed at Reshiram. And she finally spoke, face to face with him.
"GET DOWN HERE SO I CAN SMACK YOU FOR BURNING ME WHEN WE MET!"
It would've been silent. A pindrop would've been audible after her absurd, pointed accusation and decree.
Had N's Dragon of Truth not began to very coyly try hiding his snickering. Rose's? He was busy staring at her with his gaze a bit lidded and a... not insignificant hesitancy to concede to her demand. He glanced at the other of his kind. And inbetween chuckles, which even N was a bit taken aback by, they motioned gracefully towards Rose, nodding.
... Surely this is not... mmgh. Fine.
He looked down at Rose for a few seconds. He knew it'd hurt. He knew her strength. He knew her convictions. But... he would abide. His Chosen was, in some fashion, correct for wanting justice... his head leaned down. She kept staring. His head got lower. She motioned firmly. He was finally right in front of her.
She wound her hand back... and as he watched her sternly, awaiting her wrath...
Plaff. A light plap of her palm right to his cheek. Followed by another to the other side. And she tugged him down with remarkable strength to hug onto him. "... it's very necessary, you big, harsh, selfless and caring jackass..."
N finally took a moment to compose himself as he saw this. And with Rose's other Pokemon all crowding around her Reshiram's newly freed form, he began looking amongst them with a steadily draining sharpness to his own gaze. It was still harsher than N's own Dragon of Truth... but... it was a start.
She had climbed enough. Now she had time to relish her achievement at the top with those she had brought with her. N and her? They had plenty to talk about besides...

teal mask fixit-fic on the fly part 1
(Current story so far: Part 2 - Part 3 - Part 4)
"I knew I shouldn't have come on this trip," Penny mumbled in misery as the bus rumbled along the old, very rutted dirt road, fields of rice patties rushing by the windows, which seemed to stretch on as far as the eye could see.
"We're almost there. It's gonna be so worth it, Penny! Just think of all the cool new pokemon we'll get to see!" Nemona tried to reassure her, but she was patting her on the shoulder a little too enthusiastically. Penny screwed her eyes shut and grumbled,
"Uuck."
Arven had been digging around in his bag, and pulled something from it. A really weird looking brown and lumpy root, it seemed.
"Normally I'd turn this into a tea for nausea, but I don't exactly have the equipment at the moment. Here, though! Try chewing on this for a bit."
He shoved the root in Penny's face and she recoiled.
"What? No! What even is that?"
"It's ginger! It's proven to help with motion sickenss."
"Eugh, no thanks."
"Penny, it'll help, I swear."
"I think I'd rather barf."
"Penny, c'mon, it's not that bad, it tastes good!"
You sighed, laughing a little to yourself as they squabbled. It had been a long trip.

Need more body swap goofyness. What about Ingo and Lady? Can imagine that despite Ladys sass that she'd be the opposite of Chandelure and try and make Reader and Ingo take the next step, either marriage or mates depending on how well you think she understands human relationships.
The Warden running up eagerly to you and dropping medicinal leeks into your hands was certainly unexpected. Had you seemed ill? There had been a bit of tiredness that lingered with you, but you did not think it was that bad. When he moved to look him in the eyes, you felt stunned by his expression. His eyes were lidded, and his lips were nearly tugged up into a smug smirk. You tilted your head.
“Ingo…?” you asked, wondering what was on his mind. He suddenly wrapped his arms around you and stared back into your eyes. Before slowly blinking a few times. You pushed him away lightly and put your hands onto his shoulders. His expression remained the same, but he mimicked your head tilting.
“I love you,” he said simply, and tried to pull you in closer again. A strange rumbling noise came from his throat. His cheek rubbed against yours. More confusion racked your brain. Was he feeling alright? Before you could dare to ask the question, a sudden yowl rang out and Lady Sneasler came running from a higher up cliff. Her fur was all puffed up as she rushed to you.
The Noble's posture grew rigid and straight, and her face was stuck in a frown. You gazed between Ingo and her. It was almost funny how much their expressions resembled their normal ones. Lady Sneasler glared at her Warden deeply. You snickered. What was this? “... Ingo, what did you do to her?” you asked the man playfully. Sneasler's mouth opened, and meows and cries poured from her. You laughed. Ingo must have really upset her somehow.
“She's… feeling distressed,” Ingo explained with a tone that was not common from him, “Don't worry about it. How about we become married?” His phrasing of that sentence caught your attention more than his suggestion. The sudden cries from Sneasler turned into her pulling on your arm as she desperately tried to separate you from Ingo. You backed away to give them a one over once more. Snealser remained firmly close to you, while Ingo just gazed at you with the out of character facial expression.
“... Ingo,” you turned to the Noble pokemon, “Can you purr if that's you?” The poison type look mortified before hesitantly doing it. The light vibrations coming from the Sneasler's throat made you giggle. 'Ingo' put his hands on his hips and shook his head.
“He's too afraid to ask you to marry him,” it was explained, “So! I'm being a good friend and doing it for him. I'd love to see his kits, too.” You felt your cheeks burn by the pokemon's explanation. Even Ingo managed to make the normally playful expression on the cat's face twist into terror. A nervous laugh came from you as you sighed.
“Well… I promise you I'll discuss that with him when he's back in his body,” you told her, “Do you have any clue as to how to fix this?” She shook her head.
Well, you thought, at least Laventon might a field day with this.

for the daanlevi requests, could I request something post termina, in which Daan wins and somehow, a fully formed and “normal” doppelganger Levi finds him? Daan would know that it’s not truly Levi, but at that point he doesn’t care anymore. I don’t have any specifics for this outside of “go nuts do whatever you want op”. It’s cool if you’re not up for doing this though!
This was a super interesting concept I honestly struggled to stay within my word count restriction! The way I see the doppelgangers is as the most “ideal” version of them to the people in their lives outside of termina, for Levi  the people his doppelganger is the ideal version for is the eastern union military. I tried to keep on that theme while making a Levi doppelganger that’s more fully formed than just “fucked up pokemon”
In his daze Daan couldn’t tell whether he’d been woken up or snapped back to reality, the time between sitting on the train was blank, devoid of any real thought or rest. He might as well have been dead in those moments, this might well be what coming back to life felt like.
Forced into a body so wrong it refuses to move as you ask it because it deems you not deserving of control over it. A body so weak it would rather dive head first to the floor and crack itself open than lift itself up with you in it.
A body so hostile it aches and pains you every second you inhabit it, waiting for the day you finally admit to yourself you aren’t cut out for it.
The new voices added to the stir behind him talked of the train stopping, the absence of the distant shake and rumble of his surroundings supported this. They talked of a boy with a loaded gun in hushed tones, of the law enforcement coming to take him away.
His heavy eyelid finally gave way, he looked around for this silent gun wielding assailant. Through blurry vision he could make out a green blur holding a rifle across from him, a strangely familiar green blur with black hair.
He rubbed his eye.
This couldn’t be Levi. He had his gun, his uniform, he even had his face but this could not be Levi.
Levi was dead, he’d felt him go cold.
For a moment he let himself doubt any of it had been real, that everything in Prehevil had been nothing but a bad dream.
Recklessly he approached the Levi lookalike, much too frantic to de-escalate the situation if he were right. The boy stared forward unblinkingly, paying no mind to his approach.
“Do-” the young soldier turned to face Daan as he was addressed. Confronted with a dead man's eyes meeting his own, a blank expressionless living dead face, he faltered for a moment.
Clearing his throat he began again. “Your name. What’s your name?”
“Levi, sir” he replied clearly.
“And do you know me Levi? What’s my name?” he asked in the practiced tone reserved for patients in critical condition.
“Yes sir, you’re Daan, sir” he replied plainly, not an ounce of confusion in his voice.
“You need to get out of here, come with me quick” he didn’t have the time to process any of this, he wouldn’t get to figure out how any of this was possible if Levi was taken into police custody. Levi stood to attention at his words “Leave that behind, we need to go.”
With no objection he dropped his rifle and followed behind Daan, some of the crowd gave them a wide berth, he grabbed Levi by the wrist and squeezed them through the ones that didn’t. This city was not one he knew, he led them through it on his best guess of where might be away from prying eyes.
Pulling Levi into a quiet alley away from the bustle, the rush of finding him alive despite everything faded, the wrongness of this entire situation settled in its place. Levi wasn’t acting like himself, he didn’t even sound like Levi used to sound running behind him.
“Your shoes…” he trailed off gazing down, in the place of old tattered up white sneakers where the same sturdy boots he recognized on the men and boys he’d treated as a medic.
“Standard military issue, sir”
Daan grabbed Levi by the arm and turned it over, he was covered in old combat scars but not a single mark of a needle in the bend of his elbow.
“You’re not-” he stopped himself from finishing the thought out loud, a palpable tenseness formed between them the moment he started to speak it. This was the first he’d ever truly been scared of Levi, instinct screaming at him to play along rather than call it out. “hurt. You’re not hurt.”
“No sir, I’m battle ready, sir” the tension relented.
“There’s no need to call me sir. Listen you can’t just open carry a weapon in a place like this, it’s not the same as Prehevil, or the front even. The war is over” the nightmares were over. He tried to convince himself of this just as much.
“Yes Daan, I’m sorry, Daan”
“Just. Where were you even going?” he sighed.
“To my last assigned outpost”
“... What? Why?”
“I left my post there without permission, I need to return.”
“No you’ll- Levi they’ll kill you for that you can’t go there!”
None of this made sense, this wasn’t Levi it was something pretending to be Levi. But to what ends? To be publicly executed? To be made an example of for any would be deserters?
“They’re expecting me there, I don’t have anywhere else to go, Daan”
The words cut him right to his core, they might as well have been said in his own voice, wearing his own face. Did the ghosts in Rondon expect him, did they wait for him to join them or could he just not imagine a place he belonged to more than a joint grave?
“This isn’t real” his insides trembled as all the emotions he’d pushed down to survive boiled over and threatened to spill. “Tell me this is real Levi, make me believe this is real”
Levi pinched the back of his hand, hard. It hurt, the pain seared, he let it linger. Let out shaky breath after shaky breath till they became steady.
He pried Levi’s fingers from him and held them, caressed his cheek with the other. It didn’t flinch nor lean into his touch. Levi was dead, Daan hadn’t saved him. The thing before him was warm, alive. He didn’t care why it was Levi anymore, he could still save it.
“You have a place. With me, you can come with me.”

Presented for approval of the Midnight Trainer's Association, I give you...
The Tale of the Sword of Ruin
(917 words)
I was a child, then— maybe eight or nine, I can't exactly remember. I just know that this happened before my enrollment at Naranja Academy. Narciso, my then-Sprigatito, had picked me as his trainer not long before this happened, but we were already attached at the hip. He was even more of a little shit back then, at least compared to how he is today.
We had been traveling across Paldea, you know, to get a lay of the land. Some places are easier to traverse than others on foot, but I was certain it was like that for many regions across the globe. The West Province of Paldea, however, is something else entirely. Lots of steep hills and cliffs, and apparently there had been reports of a massive Bombirdier chucking boulders down the main mountain of the province for a quick giggle at times. Great way for a kid to start to learn what Paldea is like, I know.
But that's not what this story is about.
I had set up camp for Narciso and I up off the side of the mountain, away from where the boulders were supposed to fall from. It was a nice enough night when he and I fell asleep; warm, the sound of Nymbles playing their legs and wings filling the starry sky overhead, the moon shining bright on the land, a fire to keep any Ghost-types at bay. After cooking up some soup, we headed to bed, almost promptly passing out in the tent.
I would awaken later that night to almost pitch blackness, Narciso growling at the flap of the tent with his fur standing on end. This wasn't like him at all— he was brave, the cheeky kind of brave at that— so to see him so terrified was cause for concern. Grabbing one of my cast-iron skillets, and to Narciso's displeasure, I left the tent to investigate.
What I saw next defied any explanation.
It was a long, lanky thing, any dim light seeming to reflect brilliantly off of its white fur, intertangled with chunks of ice. Its large paws were soundless as it skulked around the campsite, its tail— as long as its body— seeming to swish with aggitation… or perhaps anticipation. The face, on top of a long, slender neck was a mockery of other feline Pokemon, shaped like not much more than a triangle with rounded edges with similar shapes serving as a pair of ears and ice crystals serving as whiskers, an intricate sword, snapped in two, serving as a pair of vicious-looking canine teeth.
But what haunts me to this day is the creature's eyes. Those icy-blue eyes, like chalcedony, filled with nothing but pure, unadulterated malice.
I felt frozen in place, both from this beast's vicious gaze and the bitter chill in the air, as it paced over towards me, eyeing me up. For what purpose, I don't know, even to this day. I could feel my heart pounding in my throat, my stomach sinking as it approached, leaning forward once it was close enough with a cocked head. It sniffed at me— once, twice, and the third time, it approached another step, its ice-nose almost touching mine.
I wanted, needed, had to scream.
But I could barely breathe in my panic.
I simply wrenched my eyes shut and waited for that final bite, one that I knew would cleave any part it chose to… but it never came.
It, instead, rubbed its crystal whisker against my cheek with a deep, rumbling purr, before it seemed to dissipate into not much more than wisps of powdery snow.
I didn't make it out of the encounter unscathed, though— in rubbing its whisker against my cheek, it left a somewhat deep scratch that had seemed to freeze shut while it had scented me.
Not even thinking twice, now that the creature was gone, I packed up camp as fast as I could, rushing downhill to the nearest Pokemon Center for a sense of safety for the remainder of the night. I had kept the story of how I had gotten the scratch under wraps for several years, and vowed to never travel back to that mountain for so long as I lived.
That is, until I was enrolled in Naranja Academy and took history lessons with Professor Raifort.
During my last semester with her, she recounted the story of the Treasures of Ruin— four cursed relics that had become Pokemon because of the greed of the region's king some 770 years ago, by her account. She noticed how I had blanched at the mention of the Sword of Ruin, and after class she had pulled me aside.
“[deadname],” she asked, “you looked like you had seen a ghost in class. Is everything alright?”
“I saw it,” I replied simply.
“Saw what?” Her eyes immediately seemed to light up, though the rest of her face remained stoic and concerned.
“The Sword.” I told her everything that had happened, almost crying towards the end when I pointed to the scar on my cheek.
She was interested, of course— she's an archaeologist first, a professor second— but pressed no further. “I've heard of more deific Pokemon being able to create projections like that,” she had said, “but for Chien-Pao to be able to do so like that… that certainly is very strange.”
“Why?”
“The Treasures of Ruin are still sealed away,” she replied. “By all theories and accounts, what happened to you should be impossible.”

A little rain in every life must fall Part2)
Alexander Esparza
It was a mistake Alex realized too late , unable to stop the cascade of Energy flowing between them, and their Castform Nimbus . Alex only had a moment to experience the horror of what was happening before the dark rushed through them .
Tumblr media
Alexander knew objectively that something was happening, recognized dully The sensation of their Castform’s helping hand rush through and infusing it into them. The tingling presence of electrons rushing to meet them , the lightning in the air ra wing to unite with the lighting now inside themself . Mixed in alex perceived something… wrong ? , rancid? , terrable? But Alexander didn’t care ,didn’t care about anything anymore . The shadow energy did something to them , Alexander’s body moved and acted , but Alex’s wasn’t there . They were below …
Tumblr media
Sera Figga
The fact that something was wrong was immediately apparent to Sera . she Derek and Alexandria had come from above flying south from Unova and Buffla .Alexander had called them all saying they were doing an experiment with risks and Alex would do it with or with out them . They rushed to meet them . Alex for as smart as they were was pron to rash impulses decisions. The trio saw the violet sparks first . The Racing charges skittering over the green glass of Alex’s greenhouse had them pausing in the air . Alexandria asked if this was normal for Alexander’s experiment.
“Purple lightning..no “ derek said concerned crinkled his face.
Then the roof exploded. Thunder sent them tumbling to earth in a cacophony of sound and purple light the wing of the trios pokemon barly keeping them from crashing . Sera Heard it before she saw it . The sound of warping metal ,crack glass and rumbling power. The greenhouse exploded.
The next few moments were a blur of panic , between Alexandria’s swearing ,Derek’s sreaming for Alex and of course the momentum of their pokemon doing their best to avoid flying debris and shrapnel. X and Mystery Sera Unown were out of the pokeballs instantly sensing her concern. Her thought meet theirs instantly . As an Esper Sera was a strong telepath and telekinetic . Together with her Unnow they synchronizing as one. Thoughts merged ,power magnified as if singing in choir. She needed to know if alex had been in the Greenhouse. Sera’s power raced out of her as they landed spreading into the smoke feeling for them .in what was ones the center of Alexander’s green house Sera felt them standing , on the floor beside them was…was … NIMBUS!
“Alex are you ok ?what happed ?is nimbus all right can we approach” Sera spoke into Alex’s mind , she wait their response only to be meet with silence.
“Alex?” She though at them again stretching deeper into Alex’s mind only their was nothing ,worse then nothing . Sera founder herself in Alex’s mind cling to their psyches black iron walls on the edge of a precipice . Darkness threatening to swollen her . There was nothing of Alexander here at lest nothing Sera could sense only a terrible wrongness and the feeling of threat. She clawed her way out back to herself and gasped .
“What’s wrong” derek demanded his Aegislash spirit harmonizing to him , forming a rudimentary armor around his arm. She felt him ready to run in to the smoke Alexandria ready behind him.
“DONT “ Sera yelled “STAY BACK”
Derek and Alexandria paused “ something’s very very wrong with Alex “
Deafning thunder exploded around them . Smoke rushed past them as violet light shined from Alex’s standing form. Sera had seen Alexander charged before, but she didn’t recognize the form they had currently taken dark, almost black violet etched with electric yellow. Instinct took over Sera power race to the limp Castform on the floor beside Alexander . Nimbus’s body flew into her arms in an Instant. Nimbus was limp body shifted but didn’t wake. Sera peered into their sleeping mind .
Nimbus did not like this form they had taken for Alex, rancid.it was rancid to them. But it was a part of them now apart of them that Alex had try to understand. “Shadow rain” echoed in their mind followed by “helping hand”. Sera saw it all .Nimbus had tried to stab Alex and tried to stop.
Sera stared at Alex. shadow type Energy laced with electric type energy . Sera knew Alexander how to grown frustrated with the lack of information about shadow type Pokémon . knew that they were frustrated that I didn’t know how to help Nimbus. But what foolishness did they step into this time? She couldn’t even sense them, could only feel The abyss yawning inside .
The violet lightning was still arching from Alex’s body , reaching higher and higher into the sky , Derek was distraught “ do you know what’s happening ?” He ask Sera . In Moment, all that she had learned from Nimbus past to Alexandria, and Derek mind to mind . Derek spoke “Alex…they tried to conduct a sample to shadow type energy from Nimbus and now you can’t even sense their mind and they doing…” Derek waived both arms Emphatically at alexander Standing motionless in the destroyed center of their greenhouse, lightning arcing from them. “ ”whatever that is” . Dereks face was a mix total panic and rage “Why on earth would they try that? shadow Pokémon’s whole Stick is that they’re closed off from the outside what if the reason you can’t reach him is because whatever they did closed them off. “
“ If Alexander has been shadowified by Nimbus’s energy will it Undo itself when they run out of energy?” Alexandria asked “it’s not as though when they run out of energy from their Jolteon they keep shooting lightning, Maybe we just wait this out’ Alexandria suggested ‘ it’s not like what they’re doing is hurting anyone
“They might not be hurting others but we dont know what that energy is doing to them” derek couldn’t hid the panic in his voice .
He’s right Sera though . she had Seen Alexander conduct other less helpful living energies before After they had conducted a hyper beam, Sera Genuinely believed Alexander was going to blow up until they dumped the energy.
“We need to expel the energy from them … quickly , then get them to a hospital and get Professor Apricot she understand alex’s abilities the best.”
Alexandria Ishvan( @alex-ishvan )
Alexandria smelled it before they saw it and saw it before the Sera and Eric even understood what Alexander was doing. Their senses had been different for a long time now more potent and precise than the others . As Sera held Nimbus and planed with Derek. Alexandria assessed what they perceived. Ozone they smelled Ozono first in the wind , which with all the lightning that wasn’t usual but… Alexander was right they’re only 20ft away they should be able to smell them to but they didn’t . Alexandria smell ozone, various local plants the personal unique scent of Derek and Sera but not Alex . Their vision followed the arch of lighting racing from Alex so impossibly hight and saw clouds .
Tumblr media
Watching Alexandria saw the nebulous clouds condense and rotate around the zenith of Alexander’s lighting , saw them darken and grow with unnatural speed . Saw the familiar purple undertone to the mass hanging so high above a wondered why it all seemed so familiar . Then the smell hit them . Rancid , it was so rancid Alexandria had to stop themself from gagging. They would never forget that scent , like rot , like death like …the shadow storm . Derek and Sera now covered their nose cringing at the smell . “ what ever plane you have to get the energy out we need to do it now “ Alexandria said with the urgency , pointing to the sky “whatever they’re doing is generating clouds and I don’t want to think about what kind of precipitation might fall from them”
Derek and Sera seamed to understand what they meant “ what’s the plan ?”
“ Alexander’s power has some “ sera paused seeming to think about it from Alexandria’s perspective “ aspects that we might be able to exploit” she went on to explain to Alexandria that Alexander’s power on a unconscious level prioritizes the Alex safety , something about the Energy matrices that they generate prioritizes homeostasis of their body .
“ so what you’re telling me is if we attack them, it might stop what they’re doing and prioritize protecting them from us? “ Alexandria asked . Sera and Derek gave alexandria uncertain glances. Alexandria did not like that look
“Okay” Alexandria sad incredulously. They shifted their Gaze back to Alexander , Lightning still arching from their body to the sky … lightning…LIGHTNING!
“ The lightning, the lightning Alex is generating is how their body processes the energy from electric types right right!” Alexandria asked with urgency
“Yes” Derek confirmed. “ it’s not usually purple but whenever Alexander channels power from Nimbus, it’s usually a little different depending on the form they taken during the energy transfer “
“ different types different powers” Sera confirmed
“ so you don’t know what purple does?” Alexandria asked
The look they gave each other confirm to Alexandria they didn’t. Alexandria took another deep breath The air was still rancid . what did shadow type energy do? They wandered to them self. what did it do during the shadow storm? Alexandria remembered Fortress city . Trees, older than humanity ,lived in for generations gone , people and pokemon alike left half burned and… and… The memory shuttered through Alexandria melted.
“Ok so whatever we’re doing don’t let them touch you with their body or the lightning agreed?”
“ agreed” hey said in unison.
Derek Dagda
Derek was afraid ,very afraid . Not for himself but for Alex , Alex … Alex was … no Derek did not dilute himself into believing that Alexander was fragile. They weren’t but … haven’t they been through enough, why did Alexander seem to deliberately put themselves in situation they could be hurt or that made Derek worry? Derek and Sera had convince him to quit being a Ranger to retire years ago, but these things. kept .on .happening. And now … NOW Derek found himself faced with the reality that him and two friends. We’re probably going to have to beat Alexander down to stop whatever mess they put themselves in. Alexandria struck first , Derek was always shocked by how inhumanly fast they were , racing across the green tile floor of the ruined greenhouse with only feet separating them alexandria. screamed “DARK PULES” waves of Ebony power punched into Alexander. One moment two moment, three moments past of dark power, rushing from Alexandria… Alexander didn’t flinch the only sign anything had happened was the slow shift of Alexander’s gase to alexandria. Alexandria backed away swearing preparing to strike again, not with darkness this time, but with the flame that gushed from their mouth. Sera struck from behind before Alexandria could , she snuck behind Alex when Alexandria attacked and blasted Alexander with a wall of blue force from behind. Alexander stumbled forward but caught themselves , which meant all of nothing when Alexandria blasted fire directly at them. The stream of lightning racing towards the sky abruptly ended as Alexander stood in the stream of flame. they look at Alexandria and there was nothing in their eyes . Derek noticed the tiniest of movements in their neck The slightest adjustment of their foot, and in an instant wondered if Alexander was aiming. Derek’s Aegislash Cortana shield flew from his shoulder placing itself firmly between alexandria, and Alexander. A bubble of green light encompassed alexandria and Cortana shield , just as A bolt of power freed it self from Alex and in Instant slammed into Cortana Barrier. Even from across the distance Derek could feel that terrible power skitter along the surface Barrier, could feel it clawing and clinging and searching for any way in before the bolt of power ebbed from Alexander . Sera didn’t hesitate ,neither did Derek another blue wall of force slammed into Alexander sending them silently sprawling , Derek pelted them with Shadow Balls Alexandria joined in the barrage. Sparks and streams of power still escape Alexander’s body but … but for a single flash, Alexander’s aura flickered.
Derek, Saw alexandria notice too. “ if you can hold them do it I can end this” Alexandria said
Derek nodded first at Sera them to Alexandra . Watched as blue power washed over Sera like armor and felt Cortana and his phantasmal strength stretch over his hands like gloves. Alexandria pulled dark stones from their pockets like black diamonds were they gems? Derek wonder to himself only for a moment. Together Derek and Sera penned Alexander between them. Purple Sparks stung and raged at all the points Derek and Sera made contact . Alex struggled agents them but Derek held firm. Alexandra was behind all of them now yelling “GET READY TO MOVE!”.
Tumblr media
Derek could only wonder could Alexandria fly? The way they floated in the air for a moment before screaming “DARK PULES!!” Dark gems evaporate into the power they unleashed . Derek and Sera had fling themselves out of the way of the oncoming attack.
Tumblr media
Derek watched as the Tsunami of Ebony power overwhelmed Alexander, watched as moments passed, and finally could see the aura of power Alex‘s body had been holding onto begin to crack under the pressure. The dark violet coloration to their skin fading as Alexandria kept on the assault. In one final shove of from Alexandria Alexander with down. Derek cradled Alex in his arms Alex was unconscious and refused to wake. Derek watch blood dribble from their nose and mouth . Could see deep bruises beginning to form on their face and neck and arms. “We need to get Alex to the hospital now !” Derek said

prompt: “Here, take my blanket/jacket.”
tags: gender-neutral reader, suggestive content. so kids go away
Attending some fancy dinner on a Saturday night you could’ve spent curled up in bed certainly had put you in a bad mood, but you owed it to Augustine when he did you the grandest favor of getting a Pokemon you’ve been having a hard time finding. So here you were, arm-in-arm with the man you’ve called your best friend since childhood, and you wanted to wring his neck out.
He was drunk, but then again when wasn’t he when he would attend parties? Not only was it annoying but it was exhausting having to care for him. He was like a huge baby. He always clung to you and whined about whatever the hell was on his mind, and tonight was no exception.
The world-renowned Professor Sycamore was crying on your shoulder. Something about how he envied those with cute cat Pokemon owners, and how he couldn’t have a single one because none seemed to like him, and all you could do was pat his back.
It took some time to calm him down and sit him somewhere with a glass of water, affectionately pushing his curled hair out of his face. As much as he annoyed you, you still cared deeply for him.
You sat with him for what seemed to be an hour before his fellow researchers would find you and join you both. Once you felt like he was okay, you excused yourself– as you wanted fresh air to relieve the stress you had gone through since the start of the party.
So that’s where you found yourself now. All alone on the balcony of the grand hotel where the party was being hosted, a drink in hand and your cheek in the other. It was a rather cool night but it felt nice and easy on your hot skin.
“Enjoying the view?” The deep rumble of a voice disturbed your peace and for a second you nearly considered snapping at the stranger who dared to approach you, but you paused once you caught sight of the ginger mane that belonged to said stranger- or so you thought.
Lysandre, the owner of Lysandre labs, stood there in his finest tux with a polite smile on his face.
With the way the light of the hotel room hit his frame, you almost swooned on the spot– but you didn’t, you were better than that.
“I suppose it is… If you squint.” You replied to him, turning back around to look at the so-called view. It wasn’t much. You were already so used to the beauty that was Kalos that it didn’t bring you the same joy it used to all those years ago when you’d gaze upon it.
A laugh sounded from the tall man before he slowly inched towards you. You felt the hairs on the back of your neck rise when Lysandre dared to settle himself beside you, his arm touching yours in the process.
You gazed at him from the corner of your eye, a slight narrow to it when you inspected the man.
You didn’t know Lysandre all that well, but you knew he was Augustine's former pupil and also good friend. You saw him every now and then at banquets that your shared friend would drag you to, and perhaps you uttered a word or two to him– but that was all.
You barely knew him and yet, he intrigued you.
Your gaze slowly looked him up and down, taking note that he styled his hair to be more formal this time around. His typically unruly mane was more brushed out and styled, with his tuxedo being rather bland now that you got a better look at it, but it fit him well. Extremely well, in fact, that you felt heat rush to the tip of your ears.
You couldn’t help but admit that he was a very very attractive man.
Lysandre easily stood over you and could overpower you if he wanted. You knew that man was packin, in more ways than one, and it was there that you had to cease your thoughts. You were being such a creep! Thinking such inappropriate thoughts about a man you’ve only spoken to a couple of times in the past.
“Something on your mind, Y/N?” Lysandre leaned towards you with a half-lidded expression, an easy smile playing on his lips.
His cologne completely engulfed you. Intoxicating you and luring you further in. You really were in the Pyroar’s den now, and for a moment, perhaps you didn’t care. You were seeking entertainment to make this night less crappy anyway, so maybe it wouldn’t hurt to flirt a bit.
“Yes,” You’d start. You slowly brought your drink to your lips, not breaking eye contact for a second as you took a small sip. “I’m simply thinking about how that suit fits you well, Lysandre. I can’t say I’ve seen it before. Is it new?” Now the ball was in his court.
Lysandre was quiet as you spoke, and seem to share the same gaze you bestowed upon him earlier. He eyed your figure from your head to your feet, taking note of what you wore for tonight, and, unknowingly, he wet his lips.
“Oh. This old thing? Please, you flatter me Y/N. I must say you look delightful this evening… I’m assuming Augustine took you out?” A singular raise of his brow had you gravitating closer to him.
“How could you tell?”
“You looked angrier than a Beedrill during dinner.”
You sighed at that and leaned away. Swirling the alcohol in your glass, “You could tell, huh?”
A chuckle. “I notice many things about you, Y/N.”
Now, this caught your attention. You couldn’t help but stand up a bit straighter, a small stutter coming from your lips but you silenced yourself when Lysandre stood to his full height.
“I see how Augustine stresses you during these events, and yet, you continue to come with him. Why? Perhaps it’s because you’re his good friend, or maybe you enjoy these more than you think. I personally always look forward to these banquets in hopes of seeing you, Y/N.”
As Lysandre spoke he took careful, calculated, steps towards you until you were chest to chest. His hand came to cup your chin and he nearly grinned at the way your breath hitched, admiring the way your face became as red as a cherri berry.
He leaned down to ghost his lips over yours, a smirk now playing on his face.
“Truth be told, Y/N. I wish to get to know you more. To get the pleasure, and honor, to experience an evening with someone as magnificent as you. However, it seems as if fate has other plans for us when we’re in the same room as one another.” His other hand settled on the small of your back to bring you closer to his frame if possible.
Your hands settled on his broad chest and you were close to exploding. You wanted this man to ravish you, to simply destroy you at this very moment, and you shuddered at the thought.
“Cold? Here, take my jacket.” And that was the end. Lysandre pulled away to take his blazer off to hang it over your shoulders, pulling it close to your chin by the collar to encase you in it. “Can’t have Augustine's most beloved and cherished friend getting sick under my watch now… Can I?” He murmured into your ear.
One more shudder was enough to let you know that you were, in fact, going home with him tonight.

Pokemon AU To Ozpin years can go by in the blink of an eye but few moments stand out in his life the first time he meet Salem, his first incarnation, his kids, his mission, but he remembers for one day when reality itself allowed no bad act to occur the day when one Jaune arc was born.
Ozma stood in the center of the forest. This strange Pokémon Salem had told him about so long ago now stood before him, a smile on their face. They reshaped their form to make a match with his own, reaching out with all too simlar hands for him. Ozma would never forget this meeting with Bela'Arc
---------------------------------------------------
Ozpin shook away at the thump in the shared ride with Ironwood. He held a hand to the wall, steadying himself in the event of further turbulence. James gave him a glare.
"Sorry to disturb your nap," he scowled, "but it seems your roads have been damaged since we last moved along them."
"Glynda?" Ozpin called to his assistant.
"Yes, sir?"
"What's going on out there?"
"It seems there was a battle, sir." Ozpin gazed out the window to the massive tear that devastated the landscape outside. "A very big one, sir."
---------------------------------------------------
"Eon!" The Longest Memory called as they ran beside Ozma. The school was not far now, but it seems the battle reached even here. They sensed beings evacuating the premises in an odd direction; two humans and a Pokémon.
Ozma mumbled as he continued to push himself into the school. He called out to the students and faculty, calling them to retreat. When questioned, he barked for them to hurry. Glynda guided students with the other faculty.
They flinched at the sudden surge of power in the distance. There was a very familiar presence, ancient and powerful, and one much older, much more benevolent than the other. Grimm and Bela'Arc.
"Esp!" Ozma looked to his oldest friend, and then followed their matched gaze. He nodded, and the two ran for the clashing powers. Both prayed they made it in time.
---------------------------------------------------
"WHY WON'T YOU KNEEL?!" Cinder roared as Midnight slashed at the imposter again, only for it to be knocked back again. She ground her teeth in rage. "WORTHLESS! GET UP AND CAPTURE THAT-!"
Before she could finish, her head was caught in Bela'Arc's grasp. She flailed and struggled as the Salazzle claws grew and expanded until the digits fused together into one massive shell containing Cinder. As she thrashed and screamed, her movements became slower and her breathing more ragged until the former stopped entirely.
As she fell to the cold, wet earth, Midnight rushed to her Trainer's aid. She glared from above her master's unconscious body. Bela'Arc called out, but was answered by a scornful hiss. Before the conversation could continue, the black ichor of Grimm then approached the Salazzle and her keeper, before swallowing the two and escaping to the horizon.
Bela'Arc made their way to Jaune, examining the good friend. There was a soft rumble of pleasure coming from the Friend, and they lifted their champion from the mud. They then stopped after reaching for his Pokémon.
"Hello, again." Bela'Arc turned to find the oldest of them all watching him. "It's been too long."
---------------------------------------------------
"Could I get another tissue box, please?" Jaune asked from his bed. After fighting that crazy lady, he whited out and woke up back in his room. His head throbbed and his nose leaked mucus, catching an inevitable cold.
"Coming right up!" Nora called as she rushed out of the room.
"Do you need more soup?" Ren asked, wearing latex gloves and a face mask.
"No, I'm fine." Jaune said. "How's everyone else?"
"Well," Ren turned to small Pokémon, all of whom were by his bedside, "they're here for you."
"Just like I'd do for thah... thah... AH-CHOO!" Jaune sniffed and groaned. "I wish I wasn't like this. Everybody else is probably worried sick about me."
"I don't know about worried," Pyrrha said, "but..."
"KICHOO!"
"Aw~! You sneezed like a Litten!"
"Shuddup, Ruby!"

Dnb pokemon AU
Important note: I only worked with the knowledge of Pokemon that I had previously of writing this, which is limited. I used to watch the show as a kid and played the games, but I mostly only know pokemons from the 1. to 3. generation or that I looked up to resemble certain animals.
I don’t know the pokemon lore, the only stuff I DO know is from the first few seasons (which was years ago) and the first movie. (I watched others but don’t really remember them). So yeah, not up to date and I googled a bit and asked a bit around about ‘Evil’ pokemon and all and came up with this. Nothing connected to canon pokemon (Neither the show nor the movies nor the games). Hope you can still enjoy it the story under the cut! :]
Words: 1.841
“Run, Patches, run!” Dream screamed as he ran through the forest, his eevee called Patches running in front of him, glancing over her shoulder. “Don’t look back!” He yelled, eyes wide as he felt the ground under him rumble. It was then that he dared look back himself, seeing the ground move and trees fall over.
Him and Patches weren’t the only ones running. Every single pokemon that lived in the forest was fleeing, some were lucky enough to have the ability of flying, others jumped through the trees but some were rather slow. Leaving them behind broke Dream’s heart, but he wasn’t even sure if they’d make it out in time. There were also people running, but he didn’t really care for them.
All Dream wanted to do was try and find Ho-Oh, who would have thought some crazy people would cross his way over and over again? Only for ending up in the middle of an old forest, trying to summon some legendary pokemon. Maybe he should have given up on finding Ho-Oh like Techno had said, he wouldn’t end up in all this trouble then.
A loud screech tore Dream out of his thoughts and he looked over his shoulder once again, seeing Giratina floating in the air. Suddenly a shock wave stroked, forcing the earth to move and everything to fall. In his last attempt to protect Patches Dream jumped forward and grabbed her, pulling her to his chest and curling around her.
It was his own scream that he registered next, as he flew threw the air and hit a hard rock on the ground. There was chaos around him, trees everywhere on the ground and almost impossible to find the way out. When he looked up he saw how Giratina prepared for the next attack, looking down at the chaos, at the people who forced it here and tried to chain it into this reality.
Dream never faulted some pokemons for thinking of humans as evil creatures. He had saved some from abusive owners, freed wild ones from traps and more and had seen other legendaries caught in an act of trying to control and use them. So really, Giratina attacking them was understandable even though he wasn’t really involved. All he wanted was to safe his own pokemons, his friends.
Slowly he sat up, flinching together when pain rushed through his body. Patches looked up at him, trying to get his attention. Her eyes were filled with worry for him and not even stroking her at her favorite spot could distract her. “Patches,” he said before looking around again, he had hoped to use Spirit – his rapidash – to escape, but it would be impossible for them to run here. Too many obstacles in the way.
Eventually Dream tried to stand up, yelling in pain and falling back to the ground immediately again. Patches was squeaking in distress, looking around in the attempt to find someone who could help them. But there was no one, pokemons were fleeing and no human in sight. It was then that Dream made a decision, as their time was running out.
Pulling out a pokeball he let out Parrot, his Corviknight. It fly at first before landing in front of Dream and Patches, tilting his head. “Alright,” Dream talked to himself, panicking a bit as Giratina seemed to be almost done preparing itself. He pulled of his pokeball belt, wrapping it around Parrot and securing it, before placing Patches atop of the birdlike pokemon.
Both were watching him when he ripped out a sheet of paper from his backpack, also getting a pencil to write something. His handwriting wasn’t the best in the moment, visible that it was written fast with not much time left. “Here, take this Parrot,” the blond said, letting Corviknight take the paper in his mouth. Then Dream took his face between his hands, making sure his friend knew it was serious. “You have to get out of here before Giratina can attack again, okay?”
Patches seemed to realize what the human was about to do, immediately squeaking at him as if she was yelling to not be so dumb. Parrot also seemed to try to protest, but Dream was having none of it. “There is no time, you hear me?!” He yelled, tears in his eyes, “And I need to know that you all are safe, so go!” Parrot stepped back yet hesitated, he could probably carry Dream, but it would slow them down and every second was needed. “Go, I said!”
And with those words they were off, Dream watched them fly away, over the destroyed forest and out of range from the attack. Only a few seconds later did another scream sound, a shockwave lifted the earth under Dream and suddenly everything went black.
A loud sniffing was what woke him up, groaning in pain and he slowly opened his eyes. However that didn’t change much as it was still black and when he tried to move he winced from the pain. The sniffing got louder and eventually he heard a muffled voice, stepping closer. He flinched when all the dirt and debris was removed from atop of him, revealing a certain pink haired trainer he knew all too well.
“Dream!” Techno yelled out before falling to his knees next to the blonde, removing more of the debris. “What were you doing here?” He asked as he checked up on Dream, his friend breathing a bit heavily. His Arcanine standing behind him, head tilted and ears hanging a bit, it was probably thanks to him that Dream was found.
“Got a hint that I’d-” Dream coughed lightly, really wanting a glass of water as he felt all the dirt in his throat, “That I find another hint to Ho-Oh.” He knew it sounded dumb and he knew Techno good enough to know what would come next. They’ve been together a lot on their journey after all, even though the last time they saw each other was when… Well, when they got a bit closer than usual.
Every night the blond dreamed of their kiss. And how fast Techno had left.
“You’re a fool, Dream,” Techno sighed as he got everything off of the man, eyeing the tree that lay half on the blond. “What happened? I saw some people from Team Rocket around, officer Rocky arrested a few. When he looked over to Dream’s face he saw his eyes closed and didn’t hesitate to pat his cheek in light claps. “No, Dream, stay awake, alright? Don’t force me to get Milotic to splash your face.”
Dream grumbled but opened his eyes again, watching how Techno – the man he was so so in love with – call over his Espeon that had been with Techno’s Umbreon before. The pink colored Pokemon eyes Dream before looking up at her trainer. “Use psychic to get that tree off of him. Dream, keep talking.”
“They forced some pokemon called Giratin to leave it’s dimension and tried to keep it here against it’s will,” explained the blonde, gasping when the heavy tree was finally off of him. “Shit,” he cursed. Techno pulling him up carefully to look over him, checking on his body. “It got angry, obviously… And went on a rampage. I got knocked out at the second shock wave….”
Techno hummed, one hand coming up to stroke Dream’s hair out of his face, red eyes meeting green hazey ones. “I was so worried,” the man whispered, pressing his face in Dream’s neck, the blond sighing lightly. “We found Parrot with Patches and all your pokeballs shortly after the last shock wave. They came to the pokemon center in the closest city, we could hear sounds there but didn’t know what happened until the first scared pokemons came running…”
Dream nodded lightly, wincing when he tried to move and hug Techno closer, not enjoying the thought of the man being worried. “Giratina really did something.” Techno nodded before moving lightly, pulling a pokeball out from the inside of his jacket. When he threw it Milotic appeared in front of them, floating above the ground.
“Come here,” Techno said in a soft voice.
Dream will always remember the day Techno found Feebas, left behind after it went K.O. in a battle. Him and Dream were wandering together as they wanted to go to the same city when some woman approached them for some duels. Dream reclined as he just caught Princess, his Finizen, and wanted to give his friends some rest.
Techno accepted and easily won just with his Bautifly and Carl – his Mudsdale – alone. She had six and the last one was Feebas. She lost, screamed at Feebas about how useless and ugly it was and left it laying there injured and alone. Dream guess it maybe hit a bit close to home for the pinkette as he walked up to the poor being and picked it up, promised a better life.
Feebas accepted and they formed a friendship everyone envied.
A whimpering sound came from Dream when Milotic curled around them, making sure to touch Dream as much as possible. “Good, now use Life Dew,” whispered Techno, eyes still on the man in his arms. An immediate sighed could be heard from Dream as he felt warmth spread, feeling the healing of some of his wounds. He’d still need to go to the hospital, but this would help enough to survive the journey there.
For minutes they lay there, Techno holding Dream was close as humanly possible, like someone who was scared of losing something important. Dream snuggled up against his, using the excuse of still not feeling to well, Techno knew it was a lie, but didn’t call him out on it. “...Any news about Lugia?” Dream asked eventually, enjoying the soft stroking of a strong hand over the small of his back.
“I actually was on my way to a location someone had sighted one. Maybe.” Dream chuckled at that, rumbling against the other man who cocked a brow. “What?”
“I can’t believe you tell me that I should give up on finding Ho-Oh, when all you do is run after Lugia!” Laughed Dream out, wincing from the still left pain but ignoring it. Techno rolled his eyes but an amused smirk was on his lips, badly contained from the pinkette.
“At least people have seen it, all your proof of it is some legend.”
“Hey!” Dream called out, cuddling back up to him, “I told you I saw it. The day you saved me from Team Rocket… It was right there, like it made sure we were safe together.” Techno just snorted at that, not believing his friend. Or whatever they were. But that was okay, cause Dream was just happy to be there for now, to be with him for a bit before their path had to part ways again.
Yeah. For now they could ignore all the chaos around them and instead enjoy the calmness of being reunited. Of being together.
..........................................
Yeah, I think you can notice that I’m in Writer’s Block but whatever. Hope you enjoyed!
Here the teams of both Dream and Techno! I had to google the names of most of the pokemons cause I only knew the german ones of most of them lol Dream’s Team (Tries finding Ho-Oh): Eevee – Patches Finizen – Princess Rapidash – Spirit Dragonair – Ender Corviknight – Parrot Yamask – Nightmare
Techno’s Team: (Tries finding Lugia) Milotic Umbreon Espeon Beautifly Mudsdale – Carl Arcanine

A Trip to An End
Tumblr media
Stars. Galaxies. Nebulas. Endless vast expanse of the void of space. The tear in reality with the lake below the Tori Gate behind her closing shut, and a new one splitting existence in front. One which, by the pull of the Realm traversal, throws the Kitsune out amid a forrest. Stumbling a little, given she comes out on a small hill, Kyuushi catches herself and quickly descends to a flatter section.
Though before she could reach it, a violent rumble shakes the ground beneath her and causes the Woman to fall. Letting her ethereal flames blaze atop her head and behind the small of her back to free her Kitsune features, she catches herself into a roll by surrounding herself with her tails. Getting back up to her feet, but just seconds later having to stabilize herself again by embedding her tails into the ground around her. Another brutal quake shaking the trees and rocks around her.
"What-?" An explosion in the distance makes her ears flick to the source before she sees it. Little more than the top of the explosion visible past the tree tops, and the glow of flames peeking through the trunks. Seeing some of the folliage blown her direction, she braces herself just in time to keep upright as a shockwave impacts.
Catching only the briefest glimpse of what looked to be a small, round, pink creature blown right past her. Then a rounded brown bird of some kind. A purple rat. Then mere seconds later, dozens of creatures stampeding her direction. Deer like creatures, bugs of various kinds, some small bears. It would take a second for her to realize what they were, what kind of Realm she had landed in.
Pokemon. Rattata, Raticate, Caterpie, Weedle, Venonat, Stantler, Hoot-Hoot, Tediursa, Pidgey, Scyther, an occasional Pikachu, Cyndaquil, Chikorita, Totodile, and even an Unown or two. All rushing past her in a panic, some looking injured, others covered in suit, and others still currently fine. Though none paid her any mind, rushing straight past and beyond where she was.
It would be because of the sheer number of them all running by that it would take a moment for her to even notice that none of them were the colors she was familar with. Green Teddiursa and Stantler, an orange Pikachu, blue Unown, yellow Hoot-Hoot, they were all clors that were known to be rare variants in the version of this Realm she had been in before.
What was happening here? Lowering herself, Kyuushi leaps high into the air. Getting about half way up and out from the trees that made up the forest, she hears another explosion a ways off as she lands on embers. Jumping up again after and clearing past the top of the trees to land again and brace herself for the shockwave she knew was coming. Crouching down, wrapping her tails around herself, and raising her arms before her face before it hit, feeling herself pushed against for a few seconds before it passed.
The sight that greeted her as she opened up again afterward left the Kitsune at a loss for words. Everything was blazing, the skies darkened with clouds and smoke alike, lightning arcing across wildly. Streaks of flame hurdling across the sky in various directions, explosions too distant to hear or feel but still visible from the bright flashes. It was an apocolypse. There was no better way to describe it.
Especially as she hears another explosion, closer this time than the two before, and catches sight of it's source. The ground itself erupting, trees and stone thrown everywhere, lava spewing up into the air and crashing down onto the ground to burn anything and everything in it's path. She could hear untold numbers of living creatures crying out in pain and, undoubtedly, death throes.
What could've even caused this? It wasn't merely just a natural disaster, the world itself was breaking open. Letting herself drop again, she'd land just in time to feel the earth shake beneath her so violently that a section broke and started to move away nearby. Though in almost the same moment, she'd see a pulse of green energy surge out from the direction of the coming destruction. Hear a cry of a Pokemon ring out that she couldn't quite place right away.
It wouldn't take long before the answer of what it was would present itself to her, among the Pokemon surging past her trying to escape would be a few notable shapes. The first making it's approach that she could see being an orange furred, yellow maned Raikou. The electric Beast of Legend skidding to a stop and roaring out to deflect a bolt of lightning that came firing down from the sky above, protecting some smaller Pokemon that were hurrying past.
It would be moments after when she catches sight of the dark brown fur and black whiskers of what appeared to be Entei, leaping into the air and twisting itself to strike at a ball of molten rock that was crashing through some trees. A pale blue Suicune with a lush blue mane bounding in last, joined by the small form of a pink Celebi being last. Though they would come to a stop just feet from Kyuushi, who put up her hands in a gesture she hoped they'd understand meant she didn't wish them harm.
The Raikou and Entei joining them soon after, she would find herself surrounded by the group of four. "What's happened here?" Posing her question quickly, though as calmly as she could. Not hearing a proper reply, though thanks to her Magicks, she would understand the cry from the Celebi she received as a response while it flew closer to her.
Tell of how the 'Creator' was killed by something unknown, of how destruction began to rain down on the world. Of how entire landmasses had been wiped out already, and the destruction wasn't stopping. That all was lost, and they knew such was true, only doing their best to try and keep as much alive as possible in hopes that something, anything, could happen to stop it.
"I... shit-" To think she had arrived on a dying world, one who's end was coming so violently and rapidly for that matter, would've been unbelievable if not for the fact she was present for it. Her mind immediately beginning to race as she tried to think of something, anything she could do to try and help. But as quickly as she could think of possibilities, each one was shut down just as fast.
Except... perhaps...
"Try and direct some of the others to me, I might be able to do something..." Seeing them all nod, she watches the four disperse and start calling out to others. Doing their best to protect them from incoming danger and to direct them back towards the Kitsune.
Meanwhile, the Kitsune herself let herself become engulfed with Ethereal flame. Letting her truest self take hold in her humanoid form, her tails and horns all alighting with the same flame at their tips after it all disperses. The smaller flames growing bigger, brighter as she focuses. Calling upon as much of her Aether and Kitsune Magicks as she could to try and reach out to connect with the Tori Gate in her Realm.
It would take a moment, during which she could see Pokemon of all kinds starting to gather around her, still panicked but with a slight glimmer of hope in their eyes as they look to her. Until, finally, a connection, making her gasp as she feels it. Bringing her hands together in front of herself, their backs pressed flat, she reaches forward and plants her feet firmly in the ground. Grabbing onto what seemed to be nothing, but she could feel it. Warm, vibrating, thin edges nestled between her fingers and her palms.
Beginning to pull at these unseen edges, she can feel them resisting, urging her to exhert herself further. To call upon all her strength to pull them apart, groaning in her effort until feeling it start to give. The tiniest opening splitting in front of her between her knuckles, through which she can see her home on the other side. It would take a moment longer, pulling with all her might to make the opening bigger. Hearing the Legendary Beasts working to keep everyone safe and bring as many others as possible toward her.
Until, in a sudden burst of energy, what was little more than a baseball sized hole suddenly parted into the proper, full shape of the Tori Gate's inner space. Through which she calls out "Hotaru!" Thankfully seeing the Doll in question rushing to the front of the Tori atop the lake's surface. "Open a gateway into The Haven now!"
The Woman nodding, emerald green glow alighting from within her core and peering out from the joints that made up her body's connections. A clap of her hands, and parting of them after opening up another tear in reality on the other side. Showing, through it, the safer forests of the Pocket Dimension she had created a while ago.
"Everyone go through! Now!" Hearing the Legendary Beasts cry out after she did, after which the various different species around her began rushing through the gateway that had been opened. She could see some falling into the water of the Lake before swiming onward to get through the secondary gateway and onto land again. Others jumping through from one into the next, and others even still flying through in one smooth go.
Dozens, possibly hundreds of Pokemon were rushing through, but as she kept the Tori open for others to proceed through, she could hear and feel the destruction still approaching. It was getting closer and closer by the second, keeping Kyuushi's heart racing with nerves and uncertainty.
Celebi flies past her again, circling around and back to in front of the Kitsune, crying out as a pulse of energy surges out from it. The flora surrounding them growing more vibrant and shifting to try and form into protective formations as best as it all could at their command. Turning to face the Woman again after, and easing closer to set a small little hand on her shoulder and coo out in thanks for her aid.
"You need to get through as well, Raikou, Entei, and Suicune too. Preferably sooner than later, if at all possible." She speaks to it, feeling sweat building on her head as she does her best to keep her focus to hold the Tori's gate open. Seeing it nod it's head rapidly before soaring off into the nearby forest.
It felt like she was there for minutes before she saw the first of the Beasts rushing toaward her. Suicune, bounding her way until it drew close where it would slow and circle behind Kyuushi. Brushing gently beside her then leaping through the gateway onto the Lake's surface where it circles to keep watch of those still passing through.
An explosion a short distance away making a shockwave hit hard and fast, knocking some of the smaller Pokemon over. She could see the second of the Beasts arriving shortly after, in time to intercept another molten cluster and hit it away. Instead of proceeding through, however, it would stay close and protect her and the others from more that was starting to rain down.
Another minute passing before she hears the crack of thunder and watches the Raikou from before leap in, redirecting another bolt of Lightning. Remaining nearby like Entei had, doing it's best to protect and ensure others got through until the last possible moment. Kyuushi was just glad that she would see Celebi swoop past and circle around through the gateway to safety shortly after.
Unfortunately, it didn't seem they would be able to keep the effort going for much longer. Another explosion, even closer than the last, with the forest lighting up from a burst of Lava shooting into the sky. It was close enough that she could feel the wave of heat that came off it, and the shaking ground beneath was starting to crack and split. Part of the land breaking away from the rest and rising with magma seeping out around it.
The rain of molten rock that began coming down was too much for the Entei to stop all of it. Leaving numerable creatures getting pelted with burning hot rocks and some being injured beyond what was possible to save. Kyuushi's heart sunk, seeing the death and destruction drawing so close. It wasn't possible, wasn't reasonable to try and keep the gateway open for any longer than this.
Her eyes blurring and some tears streaming down her cheeks, she takes a breath. "We have to go, now!" Catching the attention of both the Beasts again, which both nod in agreement after quickly looking at the situation around them. The two dashing to as many of the smaller Pokemon as they could on their way to the gate, picking them up and carrying them through into safety. Though it was getting to be too much for Kyuushi to keep the gateway open like this.
Her arms starting to shake, she did her best to hold on and let what few other Pokemon were immediately nearby get through. Yet another explosion bursting from the Earth nearby making the ground beneath her split. Making her arms give as she stumbles, trying to keep from falling in, and watching the gateway shut in front of her.
She could only catch sight of one other that hadn't gotten through that was nearby, and was still healthy enough to possibly survive. A Cyndaquil, a tiny little thing having slid to a stop where the gateway once had been. Clearly shaking in fear, a scratch across it's snout, simply trying to keep it's footing as the section of earth it was on broke away from everything around it and began to rise with magma seeping forth.
Kyuushi burst into action with all the strength she had left, rushing forward in a dash for the Cyndaquil, scooping it up and hugging it close to herelf as she leaps off the rising section of ground. Only to find the ground ahead of her exploding, just before she could call upon the Tori again.
Wrapping the Cyndaquil with her tails and shutting her eyes tight as the searing warmth and brightness of the molten rock burns to look at. Then it's gone a second after, feeling herself crashing into the familiar cool water of the lake in the Shrine Lands. Quickly correcting herself and swimming for the surface to get the small fire-type above the surface to keep it from drowning, she's finally able to take a breath again as she hears it coughing as it clings to her.
Feeling Hotaru's hands grab under her arms and pull at her, she uses some tails atop ethereal embers to pull herself up with the Doll's help. Getting up and out of the water soon after, but collapsing to her knees in exhaustion immediately. Not only feeling her own body quaking violently from how much Aether she had expended and the nature of what she just escaped. But feeling the shivering Cyndaquil still in her arms too.
Tumblr media
"Lady Kyuushi?" Hotaru's voice, concerned, confused, ringing in the Kitsune's ears as she kneels with her. "What happened, Lady Kyuushi? What was going on in that realm?" Focused more on her Charge than the blue Beast or the pink Fairy Pokemon that were growing closer to the two of them.
"The death of a world..." Kyuushi's answer is plain, simple, her eyes rising to meet Hotaru's filled with fear and sadness both. Looking aside to the Suicune and Celebi after, before she registers that the portal the Doll had made was still open. "G-Grab my Pokedex from the House, then head into the Haven and start treating any who are injured, and record how many we've taken in and their species, please..."
"Right away, Lady Kyuushi." The Woman standing and rushing across the Lake to the homestead briefly. Exiting it after mere seconds and rushing for the portal she had opened, passing through it before letting it close. Leaving Kyuushi where she was, with the Suicune, Celebi, and Cyndaquil.
The larger of the three stepping closer and lowering itself down to meet her gaze, she can understand it wishes to aid her. Reaching one shaking hand to it and utilizing it's assistance to get up onto her feet, before climbing atop. Carefully keeping the Cyndaquil close and safe the whole while, as the Beast then gently strides for the beach at her gesturing of a direction. Celebi flying close and in front of Kyuushi, landing to sit with her and the Cyndaquil who, at a gentle touch to it's wounded snout, begins to heal.

@cursedmystic from here
Sayo's tone is frustrated, and Clair appreciates the moment of emotional vulnerability as her visitor momentarily breaks away from the stoic image of the Kimono Girl collective. There's an ominous rumble in the distance, from deep within the belly of the gathering stormclouds, and the Blessed User of Dragon Pokemon shivers.
She knows that Sayo is tough. All of the Ecruteak dancers are, but Clair can clearly see her own boots-on-the-ground brand of uncompromising resilience resonating within the soul of the Jolteon user. After all, not everyone can brave the infamous winding ways of the maze-esque Ice Path. Not everyone can trudge up Blackthorn's craggy terrains and sharp edges. But Sayo can, and did--multiple times during each of her visits. (Some people are just built different.)
So, it doesn't surprise Clair when the dancer proposes a risky plan of action for them. She is familiar with this restlessness, compelled by the itch to do anything at all. (The tamer can already hear Miki scolding the both of them.)
"...What do you hope to find there?" she asks, interested but...hesitant, impulsiveness clashing with a growing maturity. Clair fixes Sayo with an earnest stare. "Rocket activity has picked up again, you know. They're sending more and more poached Dratini back to the Goldenrod Game Corner, and it wouldn't surprise me if they've reclaimed certain sections of the underground for their own devices again."
"It's not something you want to rush blindly into," she cautions. "Not without a good reason, that is."

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Lost Tracks of Time, Chapter 24
Summary: What happens when Ingo and Emmet try to fight an Almighty?
Author’s Note: I’m sorry.
CW: Body Horror. It’s definitely not mild this time
Thank you @furiouskettle!
(Shippers DNI)
Giratina’s eldritch aura covered Spear Pillar. The Chained Almighty pokemon stared down Team Conductors. Ingo stared into Giratina’s glowing eyes. Emmet held the Toxic Plate close to his chest. Sneasler kept Ingo and Emmet behind her, Eelektross wrapped his body around the team like a barrier, and Chandelure wanted to do something to protect their trainers but had no idea on how to stand against a ghost pokemon much stronger than them.
Without taking her eyes off Giratina, Sneasler reached into her basket to grab oran berries. She felt around, probably squishing some rawst berries during her search. Confident she found all the berries, she pulled her hand out. There were only four.
“No healing allowed.” Beheeyem used Psychic to grab all of Sneasler’s oran berries and crushed them into juice.
The ground rumbled below Ingo, Emmet, and Sneasler. Chandelure grabbed Ingo and Eelektross grabbed Sneasler and Emmet before Giratina’s Earth Power activated. Cracks formed into fissures and erupted with power, still hitting the entire team except Eelektross. Emmet dropped the Toxic Plate from the attack, giving him a near heart attack. But Chandelure flew down, and Ingo caught the plate before it touched the ground.
Giratina rushed toward Chandelure and Ingo with Dragon Claw readied. Chandelure swung around to dodge the attack. Giratina hit a pillar. The impact sent several chunks flying to Chandelure. They dodged some, and the rest had to be held off with Psychic. Ingo hanged on as best he could while enduring his partner’s evasive actions and holding the Toxic Plate.
“Let’s assist Ingo,” Emmet said. He sat in his pokemon’s hand, feeling secure despite the chaos.
Eelektross nodded. He held Sneasler in his other hand, but it would be easier to fly by being only with Emmet. He flew down and set her down on the floor.
Sneasler took a moment to orient herself and figure out Team Wish’s positions. Beheeyem and Spiritomb ran toward her, but she also witnessed Togekiss taking to the sky to assist Giratina.
“Togekiss is on your ass, guys!” she yelled.
Spiritomb Shadow Sneaked and rammed into Sneasler in the back. “Should have kept an eye on yours!”
Sneasler was not knocked down from the attack, so she retaliated with Shadow Claw. To Spiritomb’s surprise, he was forced to retreat into his keystone as he flew. His keystone hit a pillar, and he reformed his body and put back on his yellow and blue cap.
“Power Split wore off,” Beheeyem said. He channeled another Power Split, but Sneasler decked him in the face with Dire Claw before the light could form in her. Beheeyem had trouble standing up again and keeping his eyes opened. Togekiss’ Safeguard had worn off as well, and Sneasler’s attack made him drowsy. Sneasler saw the opportunity and smiled. She ran to Beheeyem again with Shadow Claw readied.
Spiritomb snarled and blew smoke from his mouth. His Smokescreen covered most of Spear Pillar. Sneasler’s borrowed insomniscope protected her eyes from the smoke itself, but it did nothing to improve her vision. Smoke whisked around as Spiritomb and Beheeyem tried to disorient her with Dark Pulses. Instead, she used Aerial Ace to jump to a pillar. She climbed to the top to check on her team.
Eelektross rapid-fired Discharge, but unlike Sneasler or the twins, his body couldn’t recover between attacks. Giratina and Togekiss, therefore, only suffered minor shocks from his attacks. It was up to Emmet to provide the damage between the two of them. Emmet scored direct hits on Giratina with his Ice Beam. Despite the super effective attack with a same-type advantage, Emmet’s attacks did nothing to give pause to the Almighty pokemon. He tried to concoct a new strategy, but his focus was split between thinking and continuing his attacks.
Neither Chandelure nor Ingo had an opportunity to attack. The latter was because of his short-range attacks, and the former because they focused on dodging Togekiss’ Air Slashes and Moonblasts. After a particularly nasty flurry of attacks, Chandelure and Ingo saw Giratina disappear into the void.
Not long after, Ingo saw Giratina reappear. “Chandelure, prepare for a-!”
Ingo’s command was interrupted with Giratina’s swift change in target. Instead of attacking Chandelure, Giratina Shadow Forced Eelektross. Eelektross barely had enough time to shield Emmet by curling his body around his own hand and trainer. He protected Emmet, but the attack from the Almighty pokemon took the last breath out of him. He fell out of the sky.
“Eelektross, we need your attention!” Emmet tried to squeeze out of Eelektross’ hand, but his pokemon’s grip held true despite being on the edge of consciousness.
Eelektross’ body collided with both pillars broken into spears and the granite floor of the temple. The impact blew away Spiritomb’s Smokescreen.
“EMMET!” Sneasler climbed down from her pillar.
“We need to check on them, Chandelure!” Ingo said.
Chandelure nodded and flew down to their friends. Ingo jumped off early and landed on his feet. He ran to Eelektross’ hand and found Emmet among rubble. The Toxic Plate was still in his hands. Sneasler joined up with them and began digging Emmet out.
Emmet panted and coughed out dust. His reddened eyes widened. “Watch your surrou-“
Ingo turned around once he realized what Emmet was warning him about. He turned in time to witness an Aura Sphere, an Air Slash, a Dark Pulse, and a Psychic strike both himself and Sneasler. Ingo tumbled along the ground, as did Sneasler. Ingo was on the cusp of losing consciousness.
Togekiss walked up to Ingo and took the Toxic Plate from him. “You three are great siblings. I must admit, I envy you a little,” Togekiss said. She noticed Chandelure’s Mystical Fire and watched Beheeyem and Spiritomb team up on the ghost with Shadow Ball and Dark Pulse. “I miss our old family. Roserade, Lucario, Arcanine, Garchomp… we could never find their souls. How cruel is that?”
“Don’t… think you’re above anyone…” Though Sneasler’s body shook and wanted to fall apart, she stood up. She limped to Ingo and carried him in one arm. His heartbeat and breathing were slow. She went to Emmet and pulled pillar pieces again.
Clouds formed above Spear Pillar. The area was already chilly from the distorted atmosphere, but the clouds covering the spiraling sky dropped the temperature to freezing. Little ice chunks rained down from the clouds.
“Emmet… do you know Hail?” Sneasler asked.
“I do not know Hail,” Emmet said. He visibly shared his confusion with Sneasler and Ingo.
Beheeyem noticed Spiritomb’s bewildered expression. “Do you know something we don’t?”
“Uh, yeah! Two pokemon just arrived!” Spiritomb said. “It’s-!”
From the part of Spear Pillar that Team Conductors arrived from came a Blizzard. Ice crystals formed on Giratina and Team Wish as the harsh winds of frost blew past and damaged them. Right when they thought they could recover, another Blizzard immediately followed.
Ingo turned his head, as the attacks came from behind. “Guildmaster Irida? And… Guildmaster Adaman?”
“Team Conductors, I’m here!” Irida ran up to join her guild members.
“We arrived just in time!” Adaman followed closely behind Irida.
“Uh, thanks, but also, shouldn’t you be helping with rescues??” Sneasler asked.
“I was, and then I saw two of my guildmembers in the mouth of a pokemon I’ve never seen!” Irida prepared another Blizzard, but she stopped when a Moonblast came her way.
Adaman jumped and struck the Moonblast with his Leaf Blade. “And I saw she was going after the scary giant pokemon alone! I had to follow her. Irida, why are you like this?”
“Well, isn’t this sweet?” Togekiss said from above, using one of the pillars as a perch. “Adaman and Irida... You two are always together, did you know that? We’ve never had one of you without the other.”
“W-What are you talking about?” Irida asked.
“Whoever you are, I don’t know where you got that information, but Team Platinum has been disbanded for years,” Adaman said.
“Forget about that!” Sneasler pointed to Team Wish. “These guys are the cause of the Distortion Floors and all the bad shit that’s been happening!”
Adaman looked at Giratina and nodded with acceptance. He would believe it.
“Are you serious?” Irida asked.
Togekiss smiled. “I confirm Lady Sneasler’s claim. She is telling the truth.” From above, Giratina swooped from above with Dragon Claw. They aimed at Irida and Adaman, who tried to run but found themselves outmatched in speed.
Before the attacks could land on, two distinct veils formed around the guildmasters. The veils alleviated some of the damage from Giratina. The Almighty pokemon found themselves to be the victim of a notable Stored Power, and they had to pause to collect themselves again.
“Reflect and Light Screen?” Togekiss asked.
“Crap, there’s more!” Spiritomb prepared a Dark Pulse, hoping to hold it in and strengthen it. “Cyllene, Rei, and Laventon are here!”
“That we are!” Laventon said. He used Pollen Puff, where the first fluffs went to Ingo, Emmet, and Sneasler.
“You. Stop that,” Beheeyem said. He raised a hand and began flashing lights to use Disable on Laventon. Before the attack could finish, he received an Electro Ball to the face.
“Don’t hurt the Professor!” Rei said as he prepared another Electro Ball for Beheeyem. Cyllene prepared a Dazzling Gleam, and the gleams aimed at Beheeyem fused with Rei’s Electro Ball. When it hit Beheeyem, he was amazed the attack didn’t come from a Noble. Spiritomb and Togekiss ran and flew to help their friend, but they were both zapped from a strong Discharge and burned from two Mystical Fires.
“Forgot someone…?” Eelektross asked. Some of Laventon’s Pollen Puffs lingered around him, making him sneeze. Chandelure waved their flames around with pride.
“Bravo, Team Galaxy!” Ingo said as his body recovered from its exhaustion. “And bravo to you, Chandelure and Eelektross, as well!” He jumped out of Sneasler’s arms and joined with Emmet again. The two pointed forward and at the ground. Emmet used Quick Attack to get close to Togekiss and switch to Thief. He got the Toxic Plate again.
Adam ran to the leaders of Team Conductors. “So, what’s our endgame?” he asked.
“Giratina is Chained and is being forced into doing Team Wish’s bidding. Therefore, Sneasler and I need to break the Red Chain’s power!” Ingo said. He hesitated for a moment when saying “and I”, but he followed through.
“Got it!” Irida first used Hail to refresh the weather condition.
“Another Blizzard?” Cyllene asked. “Laventon, assist her.”
“Understood!” Laventon ran to Irida and used Helping Hand.
Irida took an attacking stance and stared up at Giratina. Giratina disappeared for a moment, but Irida was wise enough to not relax. Adaman, also boosted by Laventon’s Helping Hand, took a similar stance next to his former rescue partner.
After a brief talk of their plan, Ingo and Sneasler climbed up the tallest pillar they could find. Emmet took position at the base of the pillar to stay out of danger and reduce the chances of losing the Plate. Eelektross, Chandelure, Rei, and Cyllene kept Team Wish busy, not letting up their attacks once.
Giratina reappeared close to the ground and charged at Irida and Adaman with Shadow Force. Irida unleashed a Blizzard, and Adaman used Mimic to copy Irida’s Blizzard. The boosted attacks pushed back Giratina and encased them in ice. Giratina was frozen.
“All aboard!” Ingo, Emmet, and Sneasler said together. Ingo and Sneasler dashed to Giratina with Quick Attack and Aerial Ace respectively.
Ingo used Poison Jab and Sneasler used Dire Claw right above Giratina’s face armor. Though the strike was in the exact same location as they struck for the other Nobles, there was no grandiose explosion of red, no release of massive energy, nothing. Giratina didn’t even recoil from the attack.
“What?!” Sneasler struck the spot with Dire Claw a second time. When nothing happened, she struck multiple times around Giratina’s forehead.
“We failed? How did we not succeed?” Ingo looked at his hand as the poison slid off his claws.
Togekiss watched the show and laughed.
The ice around Giratina cracked. The cracks propagated through the ice while Giratina growled. The ice exploded into diamond dust. Giratina roared. Pools of shadows appeared below all the non-Team Wish pokemon. Several arms shot up and grabbed the pokemon. Ingo and Sneasler were pulled off Giratina’s head and held down next to Emmet.
“Could they have done this the entire time?” Rei asked. “Why let us battle?”
“Because they’re sadistic as hell,” Sneasler said.
“While that is true, that’s not the main reason.” Togekiss walked to face Sneasler and the twins. “You have been pains on our sides for so long, but you need to understand something…”
Beheeyem took several Plates out from his backpack. He handed a stack to Spiritomb and pulled the rest from his bag.
“Your efforts didn’t matter, sweeties. Giratina is so powerful that they resist your method of breaking the Red Chain’s control. You can’t win. You never could.”
The shadows encased Emmet as he retreated into himself. The blanket of manifested distortion attempted to squeeze between his arms and the Plate. Emmet’s heart raced from the familiar sensation of his body betraying him and weakening, but his hold on the Toxic Plate held true. He already experienced the draining effect. He knew he had enough strength to beat it.
“Emmet, please stay on course!” Ingo tried to pull his arm out from the hands holding him, but his muscles refused to work. He could tell that Sneasler was trying to escape, too.
“Ah, you are tougher than you look, Emmet. Then again, why am I surprised? You and Ingo survived an attack as humans from Giratina after I ordered them to attack all time travelers in Arceus’ timestream.” Togekiss smiled, even though Emmet would not see her. “Once Giratina absorbs the 17 Plates, they will have more than enough power to take yours. So, hold onto it as long as you want. We will still get it in the end.”
“I am going to concur with Lady Sneasler’s assessment. These pokemon are not in their right minds,” Cyllene said.
“No kidding…” Adaman said.
Togekiss turned to the two official guildmasters and the aspiring one. “Diamond. Pearl. Galaxy. How appropriate that you are here. The only group representative we’re missing is from the Ginkgo Guild. Then again, perhaps Spiritomb and I would fit that role!”
Spiritomb and Beheeyem finished arranging the Plates into a large circle. Giratina floated in the center of the circle and shed their legs, transforming into the form Team Conductors originally saw them in.
“The moment is here. I’ve lost track of how many centuries lead to this. Though, this wasn’t our plan from the beginning…” Togekiss faced the Almighty pokemon and her team. “Giratina! Absorb the power of the Plates! Gain the power of the 18 pokemon types! Giratina, become the Usurper!”
The 17 Plates disintegrated into dust. The rainbow of ancient debris flew up and formed a tornado. The dust was absorbed into Giratina’s armor and horns. Their body writhed and jerked about. Their grunts of pain morphed into screams. The shadow hands holding down Team Conductors and their allies disappeared.
“Something’s wrong,” Beheeyem noted. He watched the other pokemon in case they tried to attack, but everyone was too enraptured with Giratina’s transformation.
The golden horns began to turn pale, the color running out like a drop of ink in water, and then turned into an impossible black. Their red stripes were overrun with colors swirling into each other. It was an entire rainbow; the only color missing was a deep poisonous violet. The latent power sparked like glitter and electricity.
The previously-hailing distorted sky dropped rain instead of ice. As soon as the Rain Dance took effect, the clouds vanished, and harsh heat oppressed Spear Pillar. The sunless Sunny Day left as soon as it came, replaced by a never-ending stream of Sandstorm. Then the freezing clouds overtook the sky once more. The four weather conditions argued with themselves for dominance.
Several attacks erupted from Giratina’s body. Thunderbolt, Façade, Payback, Energy Ball, Stone Edge, Steel Wing, Psychic, Hex, Earth Power, Dazzling Gleam, Ice Beam, Aura Sphere, Hydro Pump, Flamethrower, Bug Buzz, and Draco Meteor were among the moves that could be discerned. Each attack had minds of their own, some aiming for Team Conductors, some aiming for Team Galaxy and the two guildmasters, some for Team Wish, and the rest with no particular target.
“We… might have made a mistake,” Spiritomb said. He and Beheeyem cowered behind a broken pillar.
“Ah, the only mistake is not getting the Toxic Plate,” Togekiss said. “Ingo, Emmet, would you please give us the Toxic Plate? Once Giratina absorbs all the Plates, they will become complete and control their power!”
“Miss Togekiss, given the circumstances, I strongly doubt that will be the case!” Ingo said.
Giratina’s six wings turned from gray to black. They took on a wet rainbow-white sheen. Long black spikes erupted through the wings and Giratina’s back. Giratina tried to shake off a terrible burning bubbling beneath their skin, but the burning was not just inside their body. Their shaking revealed to the other pokemon that their wings turned into a fluid held together by an unknown gravity.
“We need to call this off…” Beheeyem said.
“Nonsense! Do you truly want to see Volo again?! Togekiss walked up into Beheeyem’s face. “Or are you fine with living another day, another year, another decade without him?!”
“Your plan for a new Arceus is failing, Togekiss!” Sneasler pointed at the Almighty pokemon. “Look at them! Giratina is MELTING!”
Giratina’s shaking grew more violent as their wings grew from liquid secreting covered the wings faster than they could throw it off. Thick black drops of concentrated power splashed onto pillars and the ground and ate away at the concrete and granite.
Then a blob splashed onto Togekiss’s right eye.
She lost her right vision as the right side of her face turned numb from cold and static. Spiritomb and Beheeyem watched their friend’s eye turn into a hole. The edges of the hole were covered in the dark substance. They witnessed Sneasler’s jaw drop by looking through the hole in Togekiss’s head.
“Giratina, stop shaking this instant!” Togekiss said. She took a deep breath and announced, “Let go of the Plates! NOW!”
“I CAN’T!” Giratina roared. Their wings could no longer hold together. The six wings turned into six spouts of freezing, burning ooze.
“Take cover!” Irida tried to run behind a pillar, but a blob of ooze got one of her hind legs, making her stumble from the sudden limb loss. Adaman bit her by her collar and dragged her behind a fall pillar before a bucket’s worth of ooze hit her body.
Rei found himself cornered as several pools of liquid essence surrounded him. With one large blot coming his way, he considered using Electro Ball to mitigate the damage. Cyllene had a similar idea and tried to use Psychic, but the ooze was immune due to being partially dark-type. She instantly realized Rei’s attack would be insufficient because the liquid was also part ground-type. Before Rei knew it, he found himself picked up by a Psychic and thrown to safe cover. He went to see Cyllene and thank her. He gasped when he saw that an entire chunk of her side dissolved from a different ooze ball. Cyllene was left with the feeling of bug bites and an eerie feeling.
Sneasler grabbed Ingo and Emmet and dove behind a pillar. She was not unscathed, as droplets hit her arms and back. The goop caked around her wound like mud and carried with it a weird feeling. “I-I don’t even want to imagine what this would be like with the Toxic Plate!”
“Togekiss, you have ownership of Giratina’s mind right now. Order them to get us out of Spear Pillar!” Spiritomb said after he, Beheeyem, and Togekiss took cover behind a pillar.
“I’m not sure if I can. They couldn’t follow my order to release the Plates’ power,” Togekiss said. She couldn’t tell, but the hole in hear head slowly grew larger.
Sneasler let go of the twins to rise over the pillar and yell at Team Wish. “THEN FIGURE SOMETHING OUT! THIS IS YOUR MESS!”
“Can we not take the entrance we used to get here?” Rei asked. Next to him, Laventon tried to use Pollen Puff and Aromatherapy to ease Cyllene’s pain.
“It closed off behind us,” Adaman said. “You didn’t notice?”
“We can’t jump out of this island either,” Cyllene said with great difficulty to stay calm. “We are surround by a distorted void. We will not know where we land – or if we land somewhere. We may just fall perpetually until we die of starvation or dehydration.”
“I hate to say it, but…” Irida’s sentence trailed off.
“Don’t say it!” Adaman said. “We are not trapped!”
“Now you’re the one who said it!” Irida said.
“Is now really the time to argue…?” Eelektross said.
Meanwhile, Ingo and Emmet stayed below cover. With Sneasler distracted by talking to the others, this left the Sneasels to brainstorm.
“How are we supposed to rescue Giratina from this?” Ingo asked Emmet. “Is it even possible? …No, I refuse to believe we reached the destination called End.”
Emmet shook his head. “I am Emmet, and you are Ingo. We can make it through this.
“I believe so, too. But then, what is our route to victory?”
“The goal is to destroy the Red Chain and remove the 17 Plates.”
“Yes! Before, we were able to destroy the Red Chain by striking the forehead, but that line has proven to not run this time. With that in mind, what is our alternate route?”
“…The Plates turned into dust.”
“True, as does the Red Chain once activated. What are you thinking, Emmet?”
Emmet stared at Giratina. “Could our destination be inside Giratina?”
Ingo’s eyes widened. “Oh, I see! When a train isn’t moving, you must inspect their machinations for repairs! But do we have that ability? What line would we take?” He peaked over the pillar to look at Giratina. In the Almighty pokemon’s thrashing about, he saw an open wound in their back that spewed out the destructive ooze.
Ingo stared at his brother. “Emmet…” He paused and thought through his idea before vocalizing it. “We cannot battle a foe like this. Based on our friend’s conversation, escape is also not an option that will lead us to safety. If we jump into Giratina’s body…” Ingo looked at the holes in Sneasler’s body. “Is it possible? Or are we pondering over a nonexistent route?”
“I was listening to Team Wish when I was captured. Giratina is a ghost-type pokemon,” Emmet said. “Ghost-type pokemon can sometimes possess others. Maybe we can do the reverse?” His face clearly expressed his doubt. “…But if this plan does not work…”
“Then at least we…” Ingo took a deep breath. “At least we tried to save our passengers.”
Sneasler’s attention was pulled from the arguing and observation of Giratina’s growing ooze shadow. She turned and saw Ingo and Emmet leaving their cover. “Guys? What are you doing?”
Ingo and Emmet sped to the tallest pillar they could find. The ooze covering Giratina’s wings overflowed down their body. The streams formed a pool beneath the Deep Shadow.
Ingo’s train of thought circled back to old habits. His heart drifted to pondering if he had the strength needed to save their passengers? Then Sneasler’s words came to mind; it was just another rescue mission. Ingo carried out several rescues with little issues. He could perish on any given day. The only difference now was the client. His duty was to help others. It always has been.
“Are you ready for departure?” Ingo asked.
Emmet’s heart pumped against his gem. He felt the cracks, even though the disgusting sensation of not belonging in his body was gone. Looking at the wound in Giratina’s back, Emmet was reminded of Arceus’ portal and only Ingo being taken. His hands shook.
Emmet liked winning more than anything else. Though losing would not upset him unless it wasn’t fun, losing here would mean the end of everything he cared about. The plan was scary. It had so many risks, which Emmet did not like. But he didn’t want to proceed with the plan because Ingo was going with him. Emmet wanted to proceed because he wanted to. Ingo going with him was a bonus.
“Follow the rules and drive safely,” Emmet said automatically. “We’re headed for victory. I am Emmet. I am ready!”
“FULL SPEED AHEAD! NO BRAKES!” Ingo and Emmet said together. They jumped high off the pillar, aiming for Giratina’s back.
Irida, who was arguing with Team Wish, stopped in the middle of a sentence. “Ingo and Emmet?!”
“WHAT THE HELL?!” Sneasler bolted to one of the pillars. The holes in her arms ached as she climbed as fast as possible to see where they were going.
“What are they doing?!” Beheeyem asked.
Ingo and Emmet landed on Giratina’s back, but instead of standing on top of the Almighty pokemon, they splashed and sunk into the open wound of ooze.
And then, the Sneasels were gone.

Ticket for Four - Chapter 1: ▽ Unscheduled Departure
Summary: After a lengthy day on the Multi-Train, Emmet and Ingo are met with a unexpected detour.
Read on AO3 here.
It was a verrrrry long day.
On top of the subway's usual weekend rush with regular commuters, the battle lines had quite a spike in traffic. It came as no surprise that with the reopening of the Rondez-View after weeks-long repairs, crowds of tourists swarmed all corners of Nimbasa. Roars and cheers from the sporting stadiums rung far throughout town, the itinerary for the Musical Theater ran twice as many showings than it had the past week, and of course, not a single battle car at Gear Station remained empty for long, during hours of operation. Emmet would easily admit, though the downtime of days prior was pleasant, nothing could compare to the constant gush of adrenaline of back-to-back, passion fueled battles, one after another. With barely a breath between sets of competitors, keeping his momentum well in check. His partners held the same such sentiment, happily bursting from their capsules after each quick round of healing, more than ready for the challenge coming their way. The same excitement was clear as a bell in Ingo's words of greeting, commanding, and commending at his side at each encounter. Even as the day gave way to night, the duo's high speed pace kept unchanged with the final group of especially powerful challengers, managing to just barely reach sound victory. Even in defeat, the opposing team remained in high spirits, thanking the twins for such a thrilling battle. As always, the two gave glowing evaluations of the battler's skills, with hopeful encouragement for a future rematch. The young trainers soon departed at their destination, cheerfully smiling and laughing on their way out of the car.
The line continued on its tracks, rumbling along back to its resting station for the night. Like a flipped switch, as soon as Emmet sunk down into one of the plastic seats in a fizzled slump. Excitement was great fuel, but one's engines couldn't keep chugging all day without tiring. A sleepy, content sigh escaped him, "I really hope those two passengers return, they were verrrrry strong. They may be the strongest team we faced today. It was verrrrry fun."
Ingo, still busying himself at the healing station, nodded, "Indeed, they appeared to have quite a firm connection with their partners. I'm sure they'll come to reach a well fought victory in the future." Once he'd ensured their hard working pokemon rested comfortably at the healing bay, Ingo took to his seat beside his brother. Though not slouching completely, Ingo's typical stiff posture loosened significantly; head and back leaning fully against the bench, a more calm and listless look to his features as he closed his eyes comfortably. Emmet's smile brightened a little more, drumming the fingers on his arm to the occasional rustling of the car, "A hard fought win always the best." Much to Emmet's satisfaction, nearly every match that day was indeed hard fought, very few resulted in quick or decisive outcomes. Quick battles were battles lacking excitement, and no excitement is no fun at all! An agreeable hum sounded from beside Emmet, though he noted the unusually muted tone from his brother. Glancing over, Emmet could see his head lolling slowly along with the car's rhythm. Often attentive of his brother's slight shifts in expression, Emmet easily recognized the drop in decibels to his booming shouts over the last few battles, the slight rasp creeping into his chords. It was, indeed, a verrrrry long day, for the both of them.
"I think there is still leftover Bellosom tea in the break room, Furze bought quite a bit while in Johto. Should we get some before departing the station?" At the mention of warm relief, Ingo nodded with some embers of vigor, "A super idea Emmet, we could use a some of refueling." Emmet turned his attention to the scrolling LED banner atop the car's front doors, displaying the estimated time of arrival to the rail yard station, eight minutes. Another sigh, those soothing, steaming cups would have to wait just a bit longer.
Stuttering of the banner lights alerted Emmet from his fatigue. A handful of nodes blinked, but quickly progressed to the entire display sputtered irregularly. The phenomenon spread itself to the overhead lights, harsh flashing disturbing the peace of the cab. An electrical fault? Or perhaps damage had come to the power breaker on the train? Either way, this was a serious safety violation and had to be dealt with swiftly. Emmet took to his feet and bounced a hand to his dozing brother's shoulder. Urgency snapped his eyes open immediately with a puzzled look, then hopping to stand at attention once aware of his surroundings. "We must call for an emergency sto-", before Emmet could finish his thought, a turbulent wave rattled the car.
As the two struggled to maintain balance against the violent trembling, crashing to the floor together. They grabbed hold of each other as the shaking grew in strength, unable to even stand against the erratic tossing. With a blink, the entire car was engulfed in a brilliant beam, and the floor beneath them was simply stolen away. Blinded by light, Emmet could sense the frantic hand taking firm hold of his own just before his body was seemingly flung in midair. He was falling, they were both falling, but there came no feeling of rails or gravel beneath them. Though agonizing, light beyond his lids stinging to the back of his head, Emmet forced his sight back to him. His throat clenched tight at the surroundings invading his vision; the world was stretched into a wide, prismatic grid. Everything bending, twisting, whirling in unfathomable patterns. Up was down, down was up, no reference in a void to ground himself besides his brother, his desperate grip tightening further as they were launched into the warping space. On instinct, Emmet braced his hold as well, too distracted to even note the numbness spreading across the back of his hand from Ingo's iron grip.
"Take care not to become uncoupled!," Ingo's strained voice was being sucked away by the air whipping all around them. He attempted to push out his other arm towards Emmet, as Emmet did the same towards him, but the raging winds spitefully fought back against their wills. All attempts to close the distance  was mocked by the air pushing harder between them with each passing second. The fingers around this hand began twitching under taught muscles, growing stunned by prolonged pressure. More slipping, they no longer had the strength to keep that hold, Emmet's vision tunneled, only able to see the dread filling his brother's face. Emmet's ears rang, he was being dragged away, his whole arm went numb, he couldn't keep his grip. Ingo was yelling, yelling something, mouth moving in a frenzy but Emmet was too overwhelmed to even read his lips.
Tumblr media
Like water through his fingers, their connection was broken. Emmet's numbness was taken along with the glove still firmly grasped in his brother's hand, and both were stolen away from him by the unforgiving space. He felt himself cry out, flailing at empty air and flying further and and further away from each other, Ingo now only a dark speck on a blank expanse. Hysteria wracked his body, lungs struggling to take in enough air and vision spinning and churning. All direction useless, no tracks for guidance, all signals flashing red and unrelenting. All Emmet could do was hold himself, head tucked into his arms and eyes cemented shut. He could only wait, for what felt like a moment stretched to an eternity, he could only wait for it all to come to a stop.
...
...
...
... And then he stopped.
It was... soft? His back landed almost gently on something solid, but not quite? The temperature around him also shifted suddenly, now radiating warmth all around him. Slowly, hesitantly, Emmet pried his eyes open. Bright, verrrrry bright. An arm immediately shot up to shade his face as his sight adjusted. A few moments to blink away the stinging, and he was able to use his other arm and push up against the ground. That grainy texture under his fingertips, unmistakably sand before he could even get a look at it. And a lot of it. Looking forward, all he saw was sand, even at the horizon. He craned his head left. Water. An ocean of water, calm and lapping its way up against the shore beside him. His leg was getting wet, but he didn't move it an inch. He slowly veered his head to the right. Palm trees. Big palm trees, certain more than he's ever seen himself in person.
This is not Gear Station.
This is not Nimbasa.
This is not Unova.
Emmet looked down to his lap, ungloved hand folded into the other with the lightest touch.
"I am Emmet, " he whispered to himself, voice as small as could be, "I have many questions."

▲Ingo Growing Into A Yandere After Returning From Hisui▼
that emmet post... but reversed ooo
cw: yandere, unhealthy relationships,
● When Ingo returned from Hisui, he was a changed man. It was clear to see, from his physical form to his mannerisms. Previously untouched skin literally with scars and calluses, thinner frame filled out more with harsh muscles, and his eyes held a distance much unlike the older twin previous. His emotions had always been best expressed in those seas of mercury, but now there lied an emptiness that screamed to be filled.
● You about cried when your boyfriend – fiance, rather – finally was returned to you. Which turned into complete sobbing when he pushed you away with a look that told you that he didn't know you. Emmet watched in confusion and terror as his brother acted horrified by his younger twin. Moving to send out a pokemon to attack him. The Gliscor's claws scratched his skin, tearing his white coat and staining it red. The twin joined you in tears as Ingo stood petrified by the sudden wound. You and Emmet both knew something was very wrong with Ingo.
● Somehow, you and Emmet managed to convince him to let you take him to a hospital. He was separated from you before Emmet was, too, whisked away to have his injury bandaged. The younger twin apologised to you and promised that he would be back as soon as it was over. In your moments alone, you deeply debated how Ingo could forget Emmet of all people. Whatever happened to him must have been something serious.
● When Emmet doesn't return after thirty minutes, a nurse approaches you. “Are you…” he says your name, “Mr. Ingo is asking for you.” You nod your head, and she leads you to his room. An IV runs into his arm while he looks uncomfortable in a hospital gown. It's not you realise just how different he appears. Hair longer than he would have deemed alright, a goatee that was less taken care of than the one Emmet sprouted, and he just overall seemed more rugged than the soft, caring Ingo you recalled. His silver eyes stared at you, and a hand reached out to you.
● You took it softly and stared at Ingo. His hand tightened around you. A rumble came from his throat in the form of your name. He closed his eyes. “I barely remember anything… Tell Emmet, I am deeply sorry. I missed you both. I couldn't recall, but I missed you both endlessly…” his voice was a bit strained. You pressed a kiss to the hand that held yours. His eyes gaze was curious upon the ring on your finger before he smiled. “I… remember that. Thank you, my dear,” his eyes grew misty. You didn't know what happened to him, but you would remain at his side for all time.
● You stayed with him for the rest of visiting hours. They had wanted to keep him overnight for observation to make sure there wasn't anything they missed, which you and Emmet accepted. The younger twin had joined you in hanging out with Ingo after he managed to escape his wound treatment. He didn't seem too happy about the stitches, but neither did Ingo. Endless apologies babbled from his lips, but Emmet shook his head. He forgave Ingo, so long as he didn't disappear again. The older twin became distressed when both of you got up to leave. Even after explaining that you had to go, he asked one of you to stay. When both of you restated that he couldn't, he tried to rip the IV from his arm to join you. Emmet rushed to stop his brother while you called for a nurse. Ingo was insistent, one of you stayed, or he leaves with you. Emmet being his authority in his medical decisions due to the diagnosed amnesia, hesitantly agreed to have him sedated. Ingo was petrified by this all, with heavy tears in his eyes.
● Naturally, the night was restless and filled with worry. Emmet had gone back to his apartment, leaving you alone in your previously shared one with Ingo. You got together some clothing for him and hoped they would still fit him. The doctors deemed him fit to leave when you returned to pick him up the next morning. Ingo glared at you both as you entered his room. “I know what I'll to do to you next time you're upset, Emmet,” he hissed, but took the clothing from you gratefully. His hand lingered over yours for a long time. Emmet smiled sheepishly, “I am sorry; I wanted to make to be 100% certain that nothing was wrong with you.” Ingo sighed and shook his head. He understood Emmet's concern, he just didn't appreciate the methods taken.
● Ingo's return home was a pleasant one. Before having Emmet walk him in, you let each of his pokemon out to greet him. Tears were heavy in his eyes as he entered the apartment. Chandelure swung hypnotisingly and sang a cheerful, excited melody. Excadrill and Crustle clang to his legs, while his Garbodor attempted to merge him into their body. Klinklang ground its gear in joy, while Haxorus let out a tearful cry. Ingo gazed at them for a few moments before trying to showing them all in his love and affection. The afternoon was spent reintroducing him to things around the apartment. When the time came for Emmet to return to his own, Ingo became nervous. The younger twin reassured him that he would see him again after work.
● Which led to Ingo begging you to stay with him the next morning while you got ready for work yourself. You understood his fears, and after the experience at the hospital, felt a bit bad. It was in his best interest, but he still didn't deserve to feel that way. You called in. Ingo visibly relaxed. The morning was spent cooking with him while he offered cooking tips from Hisui. He had barely spoken of where the last two years of his life had been spent, but when he did, there was a strange underlying feeling to it all. It seemed terrifying.
● When he tried it again the following day, you had told him no, softly. His eyes filled with fear as he pulled you close and begged for you to stay. You still told him no. Somehow, you managed to get out of his embrace and leave the apartment. You didn't want to leave him either, but money was needed to pay the bills. The apartment they Subway Bods had chosen wasn't cheap, and you certainly couldn't survive solely on what was left in his bank account.
● The day was a long one for Ingo as he lied in a strange recollection of how things were before the portal ripped him from this world. You were his fiance, an engagement ring lying heavy on your finger, but you had also been his stay-at-home partner. When had you started working? A thought of the harsh wilds if Hisui, how pokemon could easily overpower and kill a human or how bandits could gut you just to get something nice plagued his mind. You needed to stay in this apartment. It was safe. Ingo had checked around it and deemed the location both secure and pleasant.
● He knew if he kept acting so upset you may try to leave him. Warden Ingo couldn't have that. The world was a dangerous place. What if a portal opened up and ripped you away to ancient times? Took away your memories with a head injury and left you for dead on a cold mountain. Forced you to survive in a society you know nothing about with a language you didn't understand entirely. He had two teams now. A few could stay behind at home and watch over you in his stead. Yes, all this could work. He could return everything to how it used to be, but better.
● Ingo calmed down after that, you noted. He still had a heightened level of clinginess, but that was understandable. His readjustment was going well, too. He had taken up cooking for you and did most, if not all, of the chores around the house. You heard from Emmet that he made frequent trips to the station and gazed around at places most familiar to him with a sparkle in his eyes. Elesa had even taken him around the city a few times, to help him remember locations he liked. It seemed like within the few months of his return that Ingo had almost completely re-entered his role.
● But there were still moments where he seemed desperate to keep you to himself. An outing with Elesa cancelled because Ingo had gone into a panic attack after remembering something that happened to him in Hisui. His arms grasping you to his stronger body and weeping loudly into his neck. You couldn't leave him like that, so you called it off. He had moments like that from time to time, where is memories haunted him and broke him into a shell of the man he was. Hollow, empty eyes and a quivering body. Your heart broke at the sight. Elesa understood always.
● It was soon that he returned to work at the station and the money flow of your life increased. Having help on the bills was nice, and Ingo's pay cheques covered them all, as they had done previous. You decided to keep working as to help increase some personal wealth. Well, that was your plan until Ingo called you one evening, having got off early from his panic and fear becoming too much. He wept and begged for you to come back, unable to accept that you were safe and alive unless you stood before him. You took off and rushed home to comfort Ingo. The older twin was a wreck. He pleaded for you to quit working, his heart couldn't take the stress of the unknown, and he wanted to go back to how things had been before he left.
● You agreed. Dumbly. Ingo was just in top much of a state to say no, but he held you to your word. There was no point for you to work, not when Ingo could. He would do anything for you; just please quit your job. Begrudgingly, you do. It had been fine before, and most of the reason you still worked was out of the fear that Ingo would disappear from you again. “My darling… I would never put you through such pain again,” he reassured you, hand holding yours warmly, “I am here to stay. Please allow me to take care of you, it was what I promised you with my ring.” You truly couldn't disagree, your fears were shoved away for your love for him.
● It became only more and more intense. Some of his pokemon always remained around the house, which was good for company, but they actively prevented you from leaving. His Magnezone messing your phone and computer and leaving you with no way to communicate. You tell Ingo about this that evening, but he sees no problem with it. You didn't need them, he survived two entire years without them. He would buy you another soon. You huffed at his attitude and tried to leave once again, but his Tangrowth blocked you. “Ingo. Call them back, I'm going out to see Elesa.”
● Ingo sighed. It wasn't enough. Nothing he did was enough. Warden Ingo had firmly overtaken all of Subway Boss Ingo's reservations and twisted them until they were barely themselves. It was reflective of the reality around him. His life he loved was gone, and he wasn't himself any longer. Why did he bother acting like it? You were still his precious, dear love, and he would do anything for you. It was clear you didn't want what he wanted any more, however. “Tangrowth. Use sleep powder.” You turned to stare in shock at him before the move hits you. He catches you before you fall to the ground. This was alright. He would guide you back to how you were previously. You would become his cute house spouse once again.
● You wake up bound to the headboard of your bed in horror. Ingo had, actually… You yelled his name while trying to escape. Ingo entered the room with a tray of food and a small smile. His eyes were the strange empty that had sent shivers down your spine long ago. He carefully places the food on your bedside table and began preparing everything to feed you. “Ingo, baby, this isn't funny. I know you're stressed, but you have to untie me,” you pleaded, but he shook his head. “My darling… We've both changed so much in our time apart,” his voice was low and soft, “I just want to go back to how things were…” He lifted a fork with a sauced egg and toast to your mouth. You closed it in minor rebellion. Ingo was being terrifying, you needed to get out. “I do forgive you for sleeping with my brother… I understand that with the situation that you required company, and he quite literally is identical to me,” he spoke. Your mouth opened from shock, and he forced the food in. Resistance wasn't bothered with; how had he learnt about that? Ingo hummed in contentment as you ate his food.
Ingo would fix everything. It might not be exactly as it once was, but it will be as close as he could get it.

Seb/Mark Pokemon AU
Idk theirs not a plot really just Seb and Mark with Pokémon.
There not together in this fic just a little bits of hints of more
Based on Cedobols and youjustwaitsunshine Pokémon au thoughts
“Fuck!”
Sebs Fennekin lightly grumbles in the background. Marks Arcanine and Sebs growlithe seem to be having a staring contest. Marks Houndoom lays a few feet from Mark dozing off.
Mark was having a day. An irksome one but not one that Mark would trade to be siting in a noisy gym waiting for trainers to challenge hi- “Fuck..shit Seb dear would you mind getting your deino.”
The wild thing had bitten Marks hand again. That was the fifth time that dam deino had bit him.
When Mark looked up Sebastian was not even trying to hide the amusement on his face. He sat across from Mark leaning his head on his hand as he teased him. “Aww.. Mark I thought you said you could handle him.”
“When you said he had a habit of biting I thought it would be like a little bit. It’s literally leaving imprints!”
“I told you. He’s going to bite you till he feels comfortable!” Mark can see the amusement going through Sebastian body as he walks towards Mark. One would think by the third time the deino had bit him Mark would have left or at least Seb would put him back to his poké ball. But Seb tended to release all his pokémon when he was home. Not that Mark would blame him. Mark releases his own pokémon when he’s home. But alas if Mark wanted to be around Sebastian more then he would have to get the deino to warm up to him.
It would be worth it.
If Sebs deino warmed up to him he wouldn’t get bitten again.
As Seb moves past him, He grabs Seb pulling at his wrist to sit next to him. “What? Need me to protect you from the big bad wolf?” Seb leans against him as he speaks. Mark arm curled lightly on Sebs back. Sebs deino walks off to the kitchen out of Marks sight only bumping into two things before going past Marks sight.
They’re interrupted by a little growl.
“… Growlithe come here please.” Sebastian’s growlithe pads over to lay on Sebastian lap. Marks Arcanine rumbles as he walks past to sit next to Marks houndoom.
“You know my Arcanine and your Growlithe kind of have complex against each other.”
“Kind of reminds me of the owner.”
Silence rings through the room. Only broken by Sebs hand petting his growlithe on his lap and the Growlithes rumbles. Sebs Growlithe had taken to somehow glaring or growling at Mark’s Arcanine whenever he was in sight. While Mark’s Arcanine also somehow returned the glaring and batted at the young growlithe with his paws when ever he was near.
Which was a bit ridiculous as they were pokémon. They shouldn’t be able to glare.
“..Wait.. doesn’t that also mea—“
“Your houndoom is much more agreeable. Maybe your Arcanine could take a few lessons?”
That’s fine. Mark can wait. It won’t take much longer. Mark laughs and hides a grin behind his hand. Sebs face had turned quite a pretty color of red. Mark wonders how far the red went.
“Sure thing buttercup.”
“Buttercup?”
Sebastian flushed face twists into a pout at the nickname. A light hum comes from Seb as he thinks. “Hmm fine, Simba, Shadow come here” Sebs clicks his tongue at Marks Pokémon as they pad up to him and Seb.
Marks Houndoom and Arcanine had sat in front of the two of them now. Growlithe growled lightly at the Arcanine. In response Marks Arcanine batted at the growlithes ears. Only stopped by Seb did the growlithe lay its head back down.
When Marks pokémon had met Seb out of battle for the first time, Mark could have sworn they were Sebs Pokémon after five minutes.
By this point, Sebs denio had come rushing back towards them at Sebs voice calling. Luckily Sebs deino only bumped into houndoom before batting his head at Sebs knees for pets.
“You know,” Mark begins as he watches Seb pet both deino and growlithe. Marks own pokémon watch in jealousy. Mark grins as he looks back and forth from Seb to Sebs denio. “You and your deino have the same stupid hair.”
Seb lets out an offended huff as he points at Mark. “Stupid! It’s quite long but in no way is it stupid.” Mark hums as he thinks to himself. Seb didn’t correct Marks observation.
So he did see that their hair was similar.
“Hmm… My hair is quite long. Maybe I should cut it?” Marks broken from his thoughts at Sebs mutters. “No.” Seb eyes are filled with mirth at his quick response.
“Quite a speedy reply for someone who thinks my hair is so stupid!” Seb shifts to face his body more to Marks. And watch Mark more closely but Mark doesn’t need to know that.
Growlithe whines in disagreement at Seb movements before settling back down. “Well I do like you with short hair. But I prefer your longe hair better.” Mark reply’s, as he watches Sebs face fill with delight as he beams up at Mark.
“You aren’t going to explain any further?” Seb pouts at him as his hair floats around him like a halo as he moves. “Sure thing mate, there’s nothing much more. I just prefer it.” You look like an Angel. Your personality not so much. Most of them time. Some of the time. Maybe Mark would tell him that but Sebs ego didn’t need more inflating right now. The Angel part not the devil part.
