me stoically navigating my way through drama bc bigger things are ahead and it’s not my fault people are dumb

#kissed a guy at a kickback and thought we caught a vibe only to find out he just wants to fuck me. next #friend’s bf of 7 years drunkenly hit on me at the same kickback (I was not ok w this). they ended up beefing over me. he denied everything.#do I want to be involved in this? no. and so I simply ignore it and keep it pushing #and the guy I kissed is cancelled. like he is dead to me. so that’s also taken care of #it’s back to studying full-time for the mcat #going to the gym/taking walks daily #volunteering at the refugee center + clinic #getting published in orgo research papers #and trying to snag the opportunity to shadow doctors at a massive cancer research center. like I’d kill for it #december was such a mess but I’ve finally made peace w the fact that most of the stuff that happened I couldn’t prevent #but I’ve mourned it enough !! whatever drama comes out of it I’ll handle just fine #i literally want to be a multitasking academic weapon everyone is intimidated of this year #i am not letting something as puny as a dumb man (both of them btw) stop me. goodbye #also everyone involved is older than me (they’re both 23) but it all just feels like such high school behavior #this is not a euphoria episode like I’m literally just not entertaining any of this #had to get this off my chest. i feel better #p

i will say though that brennan revealing last episode that kipperlilly has been going to guidance counsellor for anger issues since freshman year has absolutely ruined me for seeing her as actually evil. i cannot believe that a teenage girl with anger issues is irredeemably evil i just can't

The smiles on their faces in that opening scene (before he abruptly leaves)… that have you ever seen two people more in love? No you have not.

Ngl, Lucy calling Tim "my man" did things to me… And if my heart hadn't been stomped on and turned to dust, I would have been screaming right after that. Still, it did mend my heart a little (or whatever is left of it at this point). And that first scene was so sweet… Their smiles… the love that was emanating from them… and the gift! Can we talk about it?! How precious was that?! And how meaningful are Tim's gifts?! The necklace that looked like the ones she used to wear in s2, proving how much he already was paying attention to her… the trophy that shows how much he believes in her… and now the KIA radio. The one that saved her life… And now a reminder from him that even though the department hasn't recognised her efforts in catching a dangerous criminal, he has. That he sees her. And he wants her to know that.

regarding yu hongzhu and jiao liqiao: i think it's so fascinating that we have these two women left standing who were both put in positions of high status below di feisheng, and who should hate each other now for their pasts. yu hongzhu is the last of the twelve guardians thanks to jiao liqiao, and jiao liqiao would never let her go for her proximity to the man she was obsessed with. and yet, by the present day, these two have still been bound in some kind of relationship by their loyalty to di feisheng for over ten years.

why did jiao liqiao let yu hongzhu live, after all her sisters in jinyuanmeng were dead? was it because her usefulness in protecting di feisheng in seclusion won out over jiao liqiao's jealousy? was it because yu hongzhu had a husband and another lover already, and therefore she wouldn't care to compete for di feisheng too? did jiao liqiao threaten yu hongzhu with killing yu qiushuang, held over her head anytime yu hongzhu considered putting her life in the present over that of her master's? how many times did yu hongzhu want revenge on jiao liqiao, only to hold herself back, because her duty to the alliance and its survival had to come first?

it's circling one another in a vicious dance. you can't kill her, but you can never forget. yet you're twisted together by devotion to another, by the years sacrificed (years lost), by the forging of yourselves into something so sharp in blade and tongue in a man's wulin so that all of them save for the one you serve look at you and react only with fear.

and so, the natural conclusion to all of this, of course, is that these two should hatefuck about it.

the thing about me is that at any given moment I am ready to start screaming about breaking bad season three episode ten, specifically the scene where Jesse goes to swat the fly on the ceiling by putting a ladder on a table, completely trusting Walt to hold it steady for him, and Walt watching this display of blind devotion in complete anguish because he knows he can't really help him if he falls and he knows he's the only reason that Jesse is on the ladder in the first place
