The fact that there aren't more expansions/adaptations/etc. that go full 'Mina Harker: Vampire Hunter' is a damn shame. Because she, despite not having the same wealth of knowledge about the undead that van Helsing has, is really fucking good at it. Compiles information, gets a chronology of events, has a group of (generally, save for the dumbass decision to sideline her temporarily) good people working with her...when Dracula thinks he's won, she turns the tables and uses the 'curse' he bestowed on her to track him...

And?

Mina is compassionate. Even hating what Dracula has done, to her husband, her best friend, to her, she still thinks that in slaying the beast, they have a chance to save Dracula's soul. Just like they did for Lucy. She has every reason to hate him and want him dead, and she sees this as a way to free somebody from the monster they became.

Mina Harker is absolutely the best.

(and if I ever see another version of the tale of Dracula that tries to have some sort of romance between her and Drac or have her be the reincarnation of his lost love or whatever, I will scream. Fuck that noise.)

I was wondering if there are any rare happy ritsu moments in ur zombie au since hes always miserable I think,, like is he always miserable or is he happy/not miserable and feeling kinda good sometimes?

VWHDGDGD NO YEAH OFC HE'S HAPPY SOMETIMES im just horrible and enjoy putting him through misery

ive never been able to get a genuine smile to look right on his face in my art style either i think thats part of it. as ive said his face is just built to be mildly uncomfortable and bothered and i lean into it sm it's starting to get kinda funny

but yes ritsu is happy plenty! i think, canonically, he just seems like the type of person to me that tends to turn lemonade back into lemons. he's easy to scare and his first reaction to things is often Dread and Anxiety. he dwells on the negatives a lot and seems to be a "hope for the best, expect the worst," kinda guy, but there's a section in this post abt shigeo always loving the little things in life, and ritsu steadily learns throughout the journey on how to do that and how healing it can rly be. even if he had to grow up too fast during this whole thing and learn things a kid should never have to, the journey also gave him some good insight and lessons in other places! ritsu is smart, he figures it all out

in terms of little things here n there he's the happiest lil guy on the planet when he finds one of his favorite foods—swings his legs while he sits and munches on a kitkat bar like he's got absolutely nothin in the world to worry abt. sometimes mob does smth funny that he laughs at; for the longest time i've had this silly image in my head of mob accidentally knocking down a bucket from a store shelf and it lands on his head and he just kinda stands there and makes noises.when the noises continue out of pure curiosity about the weird echoey quality it's giving them ritsu cannot help but lose it

besides tiny things tho, when tome comes around ritsu in general is a lot happier, just cuz he has somebody to talk to that will actually respond in some way. they're sorta reluctant partners in crime at first (at least on ritsu's end) but over time and over bonding they grow to rly like each other's presence. they bicker constantly but it's almost always fond eventually, and they shove each other and playfight until mob gets antsy enough to get worked up about it. rly, tome is a godsend to ritsu's mental health—after months and months of being effectively alone with his thoughts, he finally has another person to converse with. a person His Age, too!

tome is rly good at knowing when ritsu is thinkin himself into oblivion and she's Also rly good at being the most annoying girl on the planet to yank him outta that and replace any misery with Oh My God Get Off Me You Freak. she doesn't even do this on purpose at first, but over time she learns how to tell when he's thinking too hard and, ofc, she's grown attached and she cares, so she's as obnoxious as possible to lighten the mood

when they find reigen n teru, ritsu gradually gets Much happier still. now that he knows they're safe and the gang is finally back together (and now that there's an Adult present and he can relax a lil and let himself be taken care of) his stress levels r exponentially lowered. having teru back is another instant lift to his mood—im always a big fan of teru and ritsu friendship, and i think adding tome to their dynamic simply makes it more chaotic. truly a trio of the 3 most normal teenagers in existence which will surely bring nothing but good (reigen sweats offscreen)

#self #fantasy costume #If I had the money for a custom tailored fantasy-ish victorian-ish suit instead of piecing together random thrift store items with like walm #rt halloween costume type jackets and stuff.. #unstoppable..... #I would actually lean more straight up historical with my wardrobe it's just that everything I own basically is thrifted aside from a very #small portion of things (like usually socks for example I get from ebay. wigs from ebay. things that it's hard to find in thrift stores. etc #) and I rarely ever find stuff like that at the bins. Your closest bet is like. hopeing that the week you come in just so happens to also be #a week that a church costume department recently donated a bunch of old stuff. but I just haven't really had much luck finding like fancy ve #sts and suit coats and cloaks or like tunics and etc. etc. #Styles like mori kei or cult party kei are pretty accessible and easy for places like the bins (where youre usually digging through piles of #curtains and fabric scraps and doilies anyway). but finding like.. a straight up tudor england costume or something is . VERY rare #Sometimes you do find halloween costumes. Or like. stuff that's clearly like cheap 'Goth' stuff from shein or aliexpress that someone has do #nated and they can be a LITTLE okay in terms of usable for costumes. But you rarely find actual good quality stuff. obviously because like #real very good quality historical costumes are expensive and most people aren't just like 'yeah dump it off to goodwill' lol #In an ideal world though I would have fancy top hats and neck ruffles and stuff .. know this ghhjbhj #Lack of that will not stop me from taking picturesin basically the same outfit 6000 times though. helloooo :3 i have this lil idea that i’m kinda (absolutely) too lazy to write myself but i saw ur interested in adding to jack/harper and so i wanted to give this to you :)

concepts: chuck won, jackharper, jack-centric with harper pov, samwena on the side optional but envisioned in my mind

plot: harper tracks jack down post 15x19/15x20 (your choice, i’ve gone back and forth) OR to the bunker and meets sam (and dean if you’re going with post 15x19) and thinks Something Is Wrong when jack isn’t there. so she starts doing some magic and investigating. of course she originally wanted to kill and zombify him but… when she finds him she realizes he is Not the man she was obsessed with. which makes her quite pissed and curious because how could he change so fast?

rough aspects: a redemption arc that doesn’t start out with that intent, witchcraft and bonding with / life lessons from rowena, more on her past, hunting down jack, her wanting a family and companionship but going about it in the wrong way, harper using her innocent looking face to her advantage

side note: in my head she’s covered in blood or using bones in her craft in the opening scene to mirror rowena’s entry.

just an idea in case u ever get bored and want her to be a lil feral for bad -> good reasons. I hope this was at least fun to think about!

Oh boy! My first ask on this blog and it's about my new obsession that I'm currently spiralling over! Hurray! I'm so very into the Chuck won theory. I know some people get personally offended by it, but I think it really changes the whole vibe of finale for the better, because it effectively turns it into a horror show, especially for Jack.

I would LOVE to see Harper team up with Rowena (I may or may not have something in the words regarding this), and try and rescue their boys.

Also, the whole Harper using her innocent/beauty to her advantage while also being a total agent of chaos, carrying around scrying bones, graveyard dirt, virgin blood, and possibly a skull from someone who may or may not have been her ex-boyfriend. Feral, scary, unhinged, all while being pretty, feminine and flashing her thousand kilowatt smile like, "who me?;)" I LIVE FOR IT. I also really dig the idea of her not accepting that Jack became God, like "ummmm so he said he's *everywhere* now? in every drop of dust or whatever? Lame. he's supposed to come with me to the farmers market tomorrow, not be *everywhere*. I gotta talk to him."

And then immediately recognizes that this Jack is not her Jack. Galaxy brain or no, this is someone pretending to be Jack.

Ahhhh I love it. How ironic that it would be Harper potentially saving everyone just because she's like "hmmmmm no, no one tries to kill my boyfriend except me, got it?:)"

Little Cheri’s uniform is an old variation of the preschool uniform which belonged to their older brother, who is an ace trainer that specializes in dark types. Loves singing and talking to the sea!

Hilbert Blackburn - An honest child who can tell no lies- it pains him to do so, apparently. He dreams of becoming a cool trainer and traveling with his beloved friends around the region, and maybe even the world! He thinks Champion Alder and Mayor Drayden of Opelucid are the coolest guys ever, and aspires to be just like them.
