The young man stood gazing upward and waited, increasingly nervous as time went on. The giant, reptilian face seemed somewhat bemused, which was a worrying expression on a dragon.

"You have not come to slay me and save the princess?" the voice boomed.

"No, Your Dragoness, honest!" he called back. "I would like to stay here if I may!"

The dragon did not spread her wings again but crawled partway down the castle wall towards him, curved claws digging painfully into the hewn stone. A large, ruby eye peered down at him. "I am no dragoness, we are all Dragon."

He swallowed. "I meant as in, You Highness."

"Ah!" To his amazement the scaly maw curved into a smile. "That is most appropriate, I am the noblest of beasts." The dragon tilted her head to examine him closer. "Who are you? And why have you no sword or steed?"

"Well," he said uneasily. "The king's already sent six noble knights to free his daughter and I'm the youngest of three over at the nearby mill, so it's only a matter of time before they'll expect me to go and succeed and be married to her."

The dragon nodded approvingly. "Very traditional, one must admit, only I do not intend to be defeated with either bravery or trickery, so you see you have come in vain."

"No!" he pleaded. "I don't want to defeat you, or get married, but I'll never hear the end of it if I don't go, so maybe I could stay here instead?"

"Stay with me?"

"Well, you do have a beautiful isolated castle far away from everyone and a princess for company... That sounds pretty nice." He looked up at her hopefully. "Surely you could use some help around here? I'm no nobleman, I know how to work. I won't be anyone's servant, even to someone as pretty as the princess, but I can help out."

The dragon considered this for a long, thoughtful moment. "She is a very good princess," she said after a while. "Loves flying, sings very beautifully, knows exactly how to scratch behind one's horns."

"She certainly sounds more talented than the average princess, ma'am."

"Why of course, she is my princess, after all," the dragon said proudly. "But I must confess, she is a deplorable cook."

Ah, that explained the recent raids on some of the local farms.

The dragon came down from the castle wall with an elegant leap and sat down before him, her head slanted curiously. Strangely, she looked much less intimidating close up. "Can you cook?"

The miller's son smiled. "Do you and your princess like pasties?"

The Ghoul's Pre-Ritual Rituals!

This list gets progressively more nsfw as you go down, read at your own discretion :)

Mountain gives Aurora a piggyback tour of backstage. They race through the endless corridors, Aurora's hands grazing the ceiling while Mountain carefully adjusts his height so his princess doesn't hit her head in the doorframes. It gets their adrenaline going and Aurora calls it 'sillying the nerves away'.

Cumulus and Dew already have too much adrenaline, they need to calm themselves down before a ritual. They always ask Papa if they can share a dressing room. Dew brings scented candles (fake flame with an diffuser of course, can't be burning the venue down) while Cumulus breaks out her travel keyboard and sings the softest songs.

Cirrus and Aether are very performance focused, they really struggle with self esteem and imposter syndrome. They will spend every last second practicing for the show ahead. Whether it's choreo or music, they'll be there for each other to bounce ideas off and hit play on the backing tracks. Once they're nearing the end of a tour and they're feeling more confident, they take some time out of their practice to dress up in disguises and say hi to the fans waiting outside, posing as venue staff.

Phantom gets the zoomies before shows. He isn't sure if it's nerves or excitement, Aether once told him they were the same emotion just perceived differently by the mind. There is only proven method of calming the bug so he isn't missing for their pre-show group hug. Swiss has it nailed down. As soon as Phantom shows signs of becoming antsy he simply pushes him up again the nearest wall and starts making out with him, sloppy style. It seems to empty Phantom's head enough that he forgets his nerves. Warning: may cause unintended side effect of on-stage boners.

Swiss enjoys his and Phantom's ritual. A retired Omega once told him that every show-stopping ghoul needs a little kiss before they go out on stage. Well, Swiss took that tip and ran with it. He was always riling himself up for an onstage antic; kissing phantom (again), grinding into dew, or jerking himself off. A pre-show make out session was the perfect precursor to the main event.

Rain is a pretty boy, we all know this and so does he. He spends most evenings before a show in front of a mirror, taking suggestive photos of himself in their uniform. The shiny boots, tight capris, and masks really get the whole pack riled up when it's rain showing them off. Sometimes it will be almost comedic, he'll pull his trousers just out of his boots like a victorian lady to show his beautifully hairy legs. Other times, he'll send a photo to the group chat of him bent over the dressing room chair, dildo in hand as he fucks himself through the lacing in their uniforms. Warning: may cause intended side effect of on-stage boners.

More (random) Wolfstar Headcanons

- Remus has chronic iron deficiency. He can't get up quickly without almost passing out.

- Sirius can't sing. He does so anyway. Especially serenading Remu.

- Remus wraps gifts so beautifully and adds little decorations like little trinkets, tiny origami stars, or notes to them.

- with Sirius, you're lucky if it isn't last week's Daily Prophet for wrappers...

- collective puzzle nights at the Lupin/Black household. Surprisingly, Sirius developed a thing for puzzles and does them as Remus is reading. Remus occasionally helps him and slowly, but surely it becomes a habit. James and all the others make fun of it but then take pleasure in joining them.

- after 40, Remus will need glasses to read. (He loses them all the time but finds them in the weirdest spots like the fridge, the nesting box in the garden,...)

- Them taking baths together.

- Sirius loves Titanic. And he reinacts it all the time.

- Sirius is the jumper thief, Remus is the blanket thief

- They have heated arguments but can't stay angry with each other for one minute after.

- Books everywhere. Little stacks, big stacks. On the oven, in the hall, in the bathroom... it's comfy chaotic.

- Sirius gets nasty migraines sometimes and Remus helps him through them. He'll carry him to bed, makes sure he drinks enough, will literally brew a potion against the pain in their backyard.

-Remus hates the motorbike. He swears, Sirius will get himself killed on this thing.

- They will return to ☆the beach☆ for holidays. They'll get a little cottage with sea view. Remus loves to read at the beach and Remus goes swimming. (Nobody's there so Remus will be shirtless...)

- Reggie is a regular guest at their house and so comfy as if he lives there. He'll empty their fridge before saying hello. They are his emotional support system. (Regulus lives, leave me alone)

-they take in a little stray cat. They let Reggie name it. (It's Persephone.)

Happy Birthday 🎂

Birthdays with the TMNT boys cause it's my birthday today!

They have a calendar in their kitchen (it's mostly cute baby animals) and your birthday is written in sharpie so they don't forget

If you come over to the lair...

Donnie hung fairy and Christmas lights all around the living room. He's even rigged them to be your favorite color(s)

Mikey's made you a birthday cake, your favorite kind and even put some cute candles on top (thanks April)

Splinter even makes an appearance and got you a nice card. He signed it, "I'm glad you're my son/daughter/child in law, love Splinter" (instant tears)

They put on your favorite movie/show and talk all night with you. Asking about how your day was, how does this birthday compare to others, etc.

If you spent the night...

You get woken up by your favorite turtle nuzzling and kissing your neck, mumbling "It's you birthday/happy birthday, baby"

You snuggle all morning and he even takes a shower with you, washing your hair and giving you an amazing massage.

Splinter actually made breakfast that morning (with Mikey and Donnie's help)(Donnie didn't have a choice he made the mistake of trying to get coffee while Splinter was cooking and now he can't leave) there's pancakes, waffles, eggs, sausages, hash browns, you name it

Mikey gets nosey and starts asking about your other birthdays, wondering what he can do to make this one really special.

If you have to go to work, they'll set up decorations while you're gone and get everything ready.

If you stay, you'll get an all day snuggle fest with your favorite guy, doing whatever you want (mostly as a distraction so the others can get the lair set up)

But halfway through the day Mikey will call you into the kitchen to help with dinner and your cake. He just wants to hangout and cook with you <3

Cooking is his love language

They all sing when you blow out the candles. Don't worry, as hungry and excited these boys are for cake you get the first piece.

All of them get you something, doesn't matter if you're dating or just friends, you're important to them and you deserve it <3

Raph knit you something, depending on how close you are will determine the time he put into it. If you're new to the group it'll probably be a hat and scarf set. If you're beat friends you get a blanket, it's big and warm and you both can snuggle under it. If you're his partner you get a sweater, in a pattern that he learned just for you.

Leo will probably get you something that he deems "usable" like a journal if you like writing. A yoga mat so you can join him in his meditation, or just use at home. If you like tea he'll get you and him a matching set. If you're dating he's going to get you a little necklace with both of your initials on it. (He thought it was a little too possessive to have just an "L" on it)

Donnie also got you matching mugs, most likely star wars related. But he also made you something. A new watch, or a remote that controls the fan by your bed, sound machine, speaker, and bedroom lights, or maybe he fixed your buggy computer. Either way, he did something really thoughtful for you, he'd do this for you whether you're dating or not

Mikey painted you something. He knows you have that big open wall in your apartment so he finds the perfect canvas and paints your favorite scenery on it. Whether that be the forest, new York at night, a waterfall, the stars, doesn't matter cause he painted it beautifully and it proudly sits on your wall.

You love them all so much and give them big hugs as a thank you

That night will be spent in the arms of your turtle, happy as can be.

miguel o'hara does not know if your universes were meant to collide. they shouldn't have, he thinks, and when everything is all said and done, end game in sight, anomalies eliminated and stability restored, he knows goodbyes will be spoken. they will be bittersweet, and so he will take the sorrow and rid of it because that is the only way he knows to cope with grief.

because it doesn't matter anymore : the things he desires, the things he cherishes, wishes to protect, wishes to hold close to the rot in his chest that everyone deems as his altruism, his kindness, his heroism, and they'll call it a heart-- they will, but he'll call it something dead.

it doesn't matter anymore. it shouldn't. it's not supposed to.

but you are an anomaly in itself, your presence entirely warranted yet unwanted at the same time. it is a push and pull, an ebb and flow, the way you have become companions. how much time have you spent together, fighting side by side, minimizing damage and saving those affected by the consequences of another's actions?

because you are the same but different -- two sides of the same coin : dealt with the same losses, carried the weight of your own worlds, tried to shoulder everything for everyone. you have traveled the same path, the twists and turns a slight deviation in a life already set in motion.

the way your jaw clenches, the way crimson runs down your temple, your suit ripped and torn in haphazard places. it's the way you look at him, that slightest bit of horror and worry in your countenance, and if he searched your eyes any harder, he's sure he would have seen the same in his own reflection.

but you break away, ignore that flicker of fear that you shouldn't allow yourself to feel, and you keep moving.

miguel o'hara knows his emotions run rampant-- the anger, the fury, the rage-- but this is something different, something familiar, something akin to the feeling of loss and a nearing grief. he does not like it.

this shouldn't matter. you shouldn't matter, not this way.

please, he thinks, and he warns himself that he is doomed to repeat the hurt all over again, this shouldn't matter anymore. it shouldn't.

it's not supposed to.

╰ ACT II :

time does not heal all wounds ; he has learned this by now, known it all too well with every attempt, every verse, every single time he has ever tried to force a belonging in somewhere he was not meant to be. the sorrow follows him ever so, longing buried in the depths of a blackened heart that beats just enough to mean something.

it grows, roots into the soul, and it is beyond his control once again.

he tries to ignore it, tries to ignore you-- you can sense it in the way he is so careful of you now, almost afraid, so alert & aware of your presence. but there is always something in the end that draws you together, and neither of you can deny this.

it is another quiet night-- time ticks into the late hours, and you find yourselves mapping out the next plan, the next move, going over the many possibilities of new instabilities that could suddenly appear. in the silence there is something else that survives, and it is no longer just peace, but a heaviness of sorts. he feels it, he does-- in the way your gazes lock, neither of you looking away. he feels it in the way the words die down on his lips, and then there is something so bittersweet that lingers on his tongue when he looks at you.

this is something that could grow and bloom into something both wonderful and terribly tragic. something of worth that would be cut down so easily because it is an absolute necessary. you are not sure if it would be worth it, and he is not sure, either.

it will hurt. maybe it will be worth it. maybe it won't.

he doesn't know, and neither do you.

& that is a very cruel thing, you muse, and it is almost laughable. you study his eyes intently, tilt your head ever so slightly, lips curving into the faintest of smiles. you take a step forward, close that distance between two souls that are disconnected yet united in limbo. it is a very cruel thing, knowing that the person you care for-- the person you would give your heart to, is the one that will tear it apart, and it will be so excruciatingly slow and so excruciatingly gentle when it happens.

that's the way it'll work. that's the only way it'll work. finish the mission, achieve your goal, and that's it. it's over.

that's all.

because there's no chance, no what if. miguel has done everything in his power to get the life he wanted, to be with the ones he loved the most, and it only ended in despair.

there is no chance, and you both know this. no happy ending, no winning. but the heart is a powerful thing, and in the way it dulls his senses, his logic, he cannot seem to pull himself away. he sees that flicker of reluctance, that conflict, that longing in your eyes, and he instinctively finds himself leaning down, further closing the gap between you two.

he will come to regret this moment of weakness. he will regret this eventually, but not now. not now.

"migs," your voice is barely above a whisper, and oh, how his heart aches when it wavers just the slightest bit, "this will hurt in the end."

but you don't move away, he notices, and his hand rests on your waist, gentle.

"yeah," he murmurs, and his lips are so close to yours, a mere ghost of a touch, "it'll hurt."

his lips finally meet yours-- careful, tender, and it feels right, feels like it belongs, like this is what should be.

but it's not. it's not, and even in the way you pull him closer, a quiet desperation and solace in your touch, you both know that this is not something that will last. it can't. it isn't meant to.

it is a very cruel thing, the web of fates woven in every and all universes. and it is such a terribly beautiful thing -- this moment of peace you share, and you both know that in the end, there is no happy ending for either of you.

My first impression for GMMTV 2024 projects:

Ossan's Love Thailand: Let's just say, first one is instant skip for me, though I am still excited to watch Earth and Mix in something I'll enjoy. I probably should go and watch Cupid's Last Wish instead xD Japanese comedy that is transferred in a Thailand comedy make me fear for my life, to be honest (my tolerance for physical comedy is unfortunately very low). But good luck to EarthMix though, they'll get to play some funky roles, hope they'll have fun!

Leap Day: Woah! It looks very intense and very interesting already. Pond and Dew (who I dearly love since High School series) in a very dark and mystical thriller(?). It's not BL but I love unique plots with darker vibes. Also Gun playing autistic guy (who also gives off creepy vibes because the entire trailer is creepy)? Sign me up twice! I'm going to be checking it out for sure.

The Heart Killers: First and Khaotung wanted to play a cute sweet romcom after all the depressing and dark and difficult characters and tears, right? Well, they also wanted to play mafia or gang roles so I guess that gave Jojo the right to make a ASSASSINS ROM-COM, why not!xD This man is the only one I go for when I want something very refreshing, unusual, gritty, that has flawed and underground characters, weapons and high stakes. It'll probably fumble the ending but I'm definitely going to be here for my Assassin x Tattoo Artist Firstkhao. Also it'll be my introduction to JoongDunk. Second to the top of series I'm excited about!

Friendshit Forever: I actually had to double take because GMM surely loves puns in their titles, right? xD I thought this would be GL but it seems like a very intense friendship-betrayal story, seems like girl actors are able to pull it off and New is going to get caught up between them, sounds interesting but again, not my type of story. Still, points for the shit in the title lol

Perfect10Liners: I literally have 3 couples that I am familiar with because I saw them in other shows, and they all play Thai engineers, and I still have no desire to watch this show? Somehow?! I don't know why but I feel like the writing is not solid at all. Or the premise. I'm not sure what's this show is even about, beside a silly university romcom. I am already craving something more interesting, I'm sorry guys.

Us: I ONLY HAD EMI AND BONNIE FOR ONE MINUTE AND I DON'T WANT TO LET THEM GO! I mean, new discoveries?! This trailer is filmed beautifully, first of all. The acting is already great (also hello, Sing, my beloved!) and the girls have chemistry (I might have a little crush on Emi already). Anyway. I am still waiting for GL that'll be my cup of tea, I hope this will be one.

Hide & Sis: I really enjoy the vibes, the three sisters look badass (and I adore Piploy and Lookjun and Jan), it's very unusual to see Chimon in this role, Gawin continues his police officer streak, but THAT NAME! Who decided on a name for this series and why?xD Probably not going to watch but I give it a stamp of approval.

ThamePo (Heart that skips a beat): Oh! I enjoy idol stories, though I haven't seen many, but I'm always intrigued how shows like this could display the backstage and the complications that come with different positions and spotlight. And thank god GMMTV used their actual boygroup to play idols! And didn't just try to teach actors to dance. I don't know main two actors but they seem to have good chemistry as well?! I'm intrigued.

Break Up Service: I'm all for Off in a very sketchy role (Midnight Motel type of sketchy, only with even higher stakes?xD) but the overall genre is probably not my thing.

Revamp The Undead: I'm sorry but all I know about BounPrem is that these are guys from another agency who desperately wanted to have vampire BL for years or something xD Glad to see the wish being fulfilled! Sweet Tooth Good Dentist: Sorry but I'm going to be mourning Mark Pakin's talent being wasted on series like that x) I don't know the other guy Ohm, sorry, but such romantic comedy where Mark's character is a weirdo and simply falls in love with the client (how was he not fired on the spot) doesn't really intrigue me... But at least it's a step up from his (amazing) side roles.

The Dark Dice: Ooh! I love psychological thrillers and this honestly reminded me of Cube, I just didn't expect Gemini to be the main lead. As someone who watched Gifted, High School and similar shows, this is right up my alley. Very curious to check out and I hope they'll do something deep with it beside a simple mystery.

The Ex Morning: I might be biased but I just knew they would be the last one, what everyone's been waiting for. It's hilarious to think that the plot is based on Krist and Singto's actual lives but I trust P'Aof to write compelling characters and relationships. Also I probably will sigh with relief already because he's one of the very few writers that actually write a complete story with a nice and believable (and not hurried) ending. And I really want KS to come back with a bang, just like TayNew did with Cherry Magic. GMM going exes back to lovers will be very interesting to watch, and Krist Singto grew as actors so much. I'm very excited!

Overall, I'm happy to see GMMTV choosing to try a lot more mystical or dark stories than before, way less school students and also most of these BL stories are about adults! Woah! Finally! The audience is mostly grown up as well, thankfully they realized it. And their announced project about accepting stories and plot from the fans, as well as Interactive Game project by GMM, I wonder how that'll look like.

It's funny how last year I was thinking about making my webcomics and visual novel games with GMM actors and I didn't push through because I had health problems and not enough time, and it's like in 2024 GMM tells me THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT WE WANT. Maybe I should actually make some dating otome novel game or some interesting AU webcomic based on GMM BL pairings, and then show it to all fans and then GMM would notice it xD Who knows? Go kick me so I'd work on one of those projects in my mind.

Anyway, in Part 1 I barely liked any trailers or stories, and I like almost everything in Part 2. I am very very excited.

Soon it went dark and the party started with dinner. They didn't turn the lights on and went with candlelight to not draw any uneccessary attention on the winery. And Vlad is still wondering why Jeb is dressed like this... That's so not his style - at all...

Saiwa held a little speech about how happy they can be that they are all together again - and healthy. And that they finally found a home. And about their plans for next year. Doing anything to get Kiyoshi's absent mind out of tree mode. Get that device build by Rubyn that will be able to teleport them between their home in the Otherworld and the Muggle World. Making their crappy home a happy home. Staying together. And help other creatures where they can, now that Ji Ho and Vlad finally said 'yes' to each other and their Bond.

And then they ran around a bit because they can't stay sit even if their life depended on it... *sigh* But they all agreed how amazing Jack's Ice Wine was.

Jack: "I love you, pal." Vlad: "I know, pal."

I first thought Vlad would go over and sit with Ji Ho but he went to sit with Kiyoshi and showed him how to use this strange thing in his hand. Vlad: "That's a glass. Put it to your mouth and drink. Don't forget to spread your little finger... Exactly. Well done!"

No matter how hard the times were Jack had because of Kiyoshi, it hurts him to see Kiyoshi so lost and helpless.

After Dinner they went upstairs. Jeb and Ji Ho were chatting about Ji Ho's progress on his Siren's Songs. Other Jeb had insisted in his message that Ji Ho should continue working on them. So it must be important.

Ji Ho: "I started working on them while I was living with Genji. I'm getting better and it sounds quite good but I still struggle to influence things and persons, like my grandfather did, you know?" Jeb: "Let's hear anyway?"

Ji Ho: "Uhm... ok ^^' So I found out it's not really about composing a new song but to get into the right mindset and use a certain tone and voice." And then Ji Ho started to sing a song they all knew very well. The Misty Mountains Song from The Hobbit:

'Far over the misty mountains cold to dungeons deep and caverns old We must away, ere break of day to claim our long-forgotten gold Goblets they carved there for themselves and harps of gold, where no man delves There lay they long, and many a song was sung unheard by men or elves The pines were roaring on the heights the winds was moaning in the night The fire was red, it flaming spread the trees like torches blazed with light The bells were ringing in the dale and men looked up with faces pale The dragon's ire, more fierce than fire laid low their towers and houses frail'

And even though Jack was not in his wolf, his hair on his neck stood to an end. Something felt strange. And his sensible nose cought the scent of ozone. But the song was so beautifully sung.

None of them could stop themselves from humming along with Ji Ho, just like the dwarves did with Thorin in 'The Hobbit'. And then it happened. Six little lights appeared and danced around them. It was just like magic. (In fact it actually was magic ^^')

So Ji Ho was able to influence with his voice. But it seems just his friends and just when they're all together. They'll yet have to figure what to do with this new trait.

A little while later a werewolf ran along.

I was pressed when I read that Leo was going to have a crush on April, but I actually didn't mind it in this case. (Even though I 100% prefer for them to just be best friend's/family and would never want to see April with any of them). Like Leo being such a nerd made it work plus April didn't show any interest in him, so it didn't bug me like I thought it would. Now if they try to turn that into something in the future then we're gonna have a problem, but it being a one-sided thing that Leo will hopefully grow out of (quickly!) is fine.

Speaking of April, I LOVE this version of April, and I love how they switched up the reporter thing a bit with her being super anxious to be on air bc it made way for some character progression. I do tend to prefer her being quite a bit older than the turtles, but I feel like her being a teen like them works in this universe.

Also, I love it when Leo is characterized as a nerd who says cringey/nerdy things sometimes and they delivered on that beautifully here with his speeches. It's veryyy 2k12 Leo vibes. Fucking loved it. Especially loved it when Leo actually had an amazing rousing speech during the Superfly fight scene and then after Raph complimented him on it, Leo started geeking out about how cool he sounded LOL. Obsessed.

"GO NINJA, GO NINJA, GO!" I started screaming when this started playing!! Secret of the Ooze reference let's gooo!

The milking... THE MILKING... the nipples and the milking!! Mikey and Raph got milked!! That running joke killed me. Also, since Mikey got milked first, I couldn't help but compare that to 2k3 when Bishop was going to use a saw to cut into Mikey's carapace while all the other bros had to watch. Althouuugh... ngl, I kinda wish Raph had gone a little more berserk over Mikey getting milked since he's so protective, but I understand they were trying to keep the mood light even though... it was... a torture scene... so uhhh... anyway.

All in all, I thought it was super fun and I couldn't stop laughing the entire time. There was still kiiinda more of a Leo focus this time around, but it wasn't nearly as much as the Rise movie, so I'm glad it felt more balanced between each brother (and thank god we didn't have to sit through another Leo vs. Raph type of beef thing).

I think in terms of characterization, Leo was definitely characterized the best and felt IC. I feel like there could've been a bit more development for Donnie, Raph, and Mikey. Donnie had his anime/kpop thing, Raph had his love for violence, and then Mikey... there wasn't anything super defining about him other than maybe the fact that he signed up for the improv team try outs. But honestly, I'm not that mad at it because I'm sure they'll get more fleshed out in the TV show that's coming in the future. Now that they're attending school, I do kinda hope that Donnie takes some kinda robotics/woodworking/science classes because I'd love to see him develop the skills he's always depicted with.

As for my fav, I mean, it should be noted that Mikey is always my guy and that I'm usually going to focus on him the most in every scene, but other than him, I'd say Leo. I also really enjoyed April, Splinter, and Superfly though.

I don't think I made a single OC during my time in Matsu fandom, but Hazbin's gotten my furry wheels spinning, god damn you. I'm gonna ramble under the cut to try to get my thoughts straight.

-Almaz (Nina Sinclair), squirrel, non-binary. An 80's one-hit-wonder who died in their 30's after self-destructing and overdosing on drugs, is in love with Husk. I've posted plenty about them before.

-Richard Brenning (hell name still undecided), white rabbit, died in his 50's, pansexual male. An 80's star like Almaz, but unlike Mazzie he got more than fifteen minutes of fame as a singer, reality star, and general tabloid menace. The "controversies and scandals" section of his Wikipedia page is longer than Mazzie's entire page. Absolutely covered in sparkles. I know his outfit includes a sparkly purple vest with nothing underneath, and I keep wanting to give him a hat, but Husk already has a top hat so I don't know what to do there just yet. An egotistical little shitheel at first, possibly an Overlord? Almaz looks up to him but he's a bit insensitive about the whole "one-hit-wonder who self-destructed, don't they all" thing. He'll chill out with some character development and eventually settle down with Angel Dust therefore freeing Husk for Almaz to pursue

-Clara? Originally made her to fill a request but I think I'm keeping her. Still need a last name for her, she keeps her birth name in hell. A small black bear, looks more like a teddy bear than a wild animal. Mainly dresses in floral print. Grew up with Alastor and knows he enjoys hunting, but is willfully ignoring the nastier aspects of her "big brother in spirit" in an attempt to preserve her happy childhood memories of him. Was born after Alastor but also died later than he did, in her 60's, I think? If that request stays canon to my OC's then she has a thing for Husk, but Husk is immediately bitter of her connection with Alastor, so that's not going anywhere. Still no idea what landed her in hell. Is "willful ignorance of the fact that your best friend is a serial killer" a sin?

And Husk's family, all of whom I still need to name:

-Husk's ex-wife was a black woman who lived in the middle of nowhere with nothing but her dreams. She moved to a rapidly growing Las Vegas in the 30's to chase those dreams, and started singing songs she wrote in the same bar where Husk would play saxophone with various bands. The two hit it off beautifully and had a wonderful marriage, with Husk spoiling her with gifts and trips and encouraging her singing and poetry... until everything fell apart because Husk just couldn't get his addictions under control, no matter how hard he tried. It's not his fault, exactly... it just sucks for everyone involved. Don't know what would have landed her in Hell, but I do want her to see Husk again so they can try to get some closure. ...and the pronoun use here is a bit strange because I think she'd realize she's transmasc while in hell? I want something where Husk's spouse thought they were a cishet woman in life, but due to Husk's own experience with the Las Vegas queer scene he always had his doubts about that... but he couldn't risk outing himself, so he never said anything while they were alive. They'll meet again, Husk will take their new gender identity in stride and finally get to come out to them as pansexual, maybe they'll try to rekindle their romance but the spark is fully dead on the spouse's side, Husk desperately needs this closure before he can pursue anyone else. He doesn't expect his spouse to forgive him, he just wants them to understand he never wanted to hurt his family...

-Husk's older daughters, twin girls. Still highly undeveloped, except that they stay close for their whole lives and Husk utterly spoiled them as much as he could while he was still able to see them. Husk has participated in princess teddy bear tea parties, I will die on that hill. They were preteens/early teens when their parents divorced, and a year or two after that their mother stopped letting Husk see them because he's a drunk deadbeat piece of shit. I'm so sorry, Husk. They started families of their own, Husk has grandkids, but he has no idea because his daughters never tried to re-establish contact with him in adulthood. They have their fond memories of him, but also some really shitty ones, especially after an event I'll be talking about in a moment. It's complicated.

-Husk's younger daughter, who I want to flesh out for one horrible reason... the idea of Husk losing his daughter in an accident, blaming himself for it for the rest of his life regardless of what he could have done to save her, and sinking further than ever into the addictions that would ruin his marriage in short order. I'm so sorry for doing this to you, everyone who's involved. She's in Heaven now, and if Husk ever ascends there will be tearful reunions god damn it please

I haven't decided on species for Husk's family, but none of them are cats; the cat thing is specific to him for his manner of life and death, figuratively drowning in alcohol before literally drowning in a lake. Cats hate water, after all. The others don't have that connection to cats. I'll figure them out eventually.

Doctor Who: The Church on Ruby Road

The other day I finally had the chance to watch the new special. ( I haven't watched the three with Tennant yet, but I'll catch up as soon as I can).

So I liked the episode. Ruby reminded me a lot of the first Rose, the one that travelled with Nine. She's curious, she's funny and she's young. But she carries with her the fact that she's adopted, that she can't find her birth parents but wants to, so in some ways she seems more mature than that Rose, closer to how she became with Ten until she got trapped in the parallel universe. I liked the mother and the grandmother and I hope we'll have the chance to see them again.

Fifteen reminded me of the late Eleven. The one that traveled with Clara and lost the Ponds. He had the same over enthusiastic attitude Eleven had, but he's also weighted by the trauma of the discovery of the Timeless Child. You can see ( or at least I could) that behind the enthusiasm and the funny attitude there's also a huge pit of emotion and trauma. And I love it.

Ncuti and Millie have great chemistry and I can't wait to see their adventures. I think that the fact that in some ways they are both adopted is going to be a nice bonding factor, and I'm pretty sure it's also going to play a major role in the future.

I really enjoyed the scene of Fifteen dancing in the club and the music number with Ruby. I'm not usually a fan of musical episode, but there's something in those scenes that really drew me in. Also the scene I think that scene after the Goblin left, when he can't find Ruby and then realised that they're gone back in time to eat her, is beautifully acted, both by Ncuti and the actress who plays Ruby's mom.

I'm really curious to find out more about Ruby's mother, or whoever it was that black figure that abandoned her, and I wonder if we'll see Mrs Flood again or if she was just there to break the fourth wall and to wink at the audience.

I agree with some reviews that the plot wasn't particularly complicated and the pace was off in some places, but I think it was a good way to introduce Fifteen and Ruby.

I mean NewWho started with PlasticMikey and his friends going around London and shooting people. I guess that singing goblins are a good way to start a new era.

Also I hate the Timeless Child plot line, I understand how many problems it solves from a narrative standpoint and how many possibilities it opens but I still don't like it. Still this special made me want to keep watching and see where they'll go with it and maybe Davies can convince me that it's a good plot point. So this special must have done something right for me

i mean i don't know how unpopular this opinion is but.... sometimes they probably lipsync. and that's okay.

sometimes they might not have a choice due to the whole production behind a performance, sometimes they might just not be feeling their best. hell, they're performing. they aren't just sitting there and singing as beautifully as we know they can. they're dancing, doing stunts, pretty much acting as well, so i think it's very understandable when kpop groups in general lipsync sometimes, and i think the fandom should stop the whole "my group is better than yours because they don't lipsync💅" like??? sometimes they've got to. all of them do it at some point for many different reasons we won't ever know... and that's fine. they'll still deliver an amazing performance that they've worked very hard for. it's entertainment, it really isn't that deep lol

and i'll give you another: it's okay to acknowledge that they've probably gotten cosmetic procedures done. mind you, it's possible they haven't, but it's also just as possible that they have considering the industry they're working in. and it's o k a y. we shouldn't try to feel superior over other fandoms because "our idols are all natural🥰" when we literally don't know.

Third option Green for Freddie's beautiful singing and because its basically "Future bestie we're trying to help you get laid!!"

Fourth option another Green, because she lied as beautifully as she sings:

Last option Red. Its the only correct option. "pRIMO!" Secondo's voice comes out as a high-pitched squeak; this being incredibly out of character for the usually stoic papa, he stops.

"What the hell-" Primo starts. He's not used to seeing Secondo like this.

"The-kid-is-sick-and-I-don't-know-what-to-do," the words come out all jumbled together, and Primo has a hard time understanding what he's saying.

"Woah, hold on a moment. Slow down. What?"

"The kid is sick!" He throws his hands up in exasperation. "I don't know what to do! I've never raised kids!"

Primo chuckles at his brother's panic. "What's wrong with the kid?"

"They just keep coughing, I can't get them to sleep," he says. "They're in my bed right now, suffering as we speak."

"Okay, okay, calm down- have you given them anything?"

"Like what?"

Primo groans. "Like, cough medicine? Nyquil? Tea?"

He looks at him in bewilderment.

Primo pinches the bridge of his nose. "Alright. You go get some children's nyquil and cough drops from the medicine cabinet. I'll get some chamomile tea with honey mixed in. I'll meet you in your room in five minutes. Don't be late." He hurries off.

"Satanas, I didn't know it was this bad," Primo curses when he sees you.

Secondo's bedroom is dark except for a nightlight he'd left on for you. You're curled up on the bed, face red. Tears are streaming down your face, but you can't sob due to the coughing that constantly burdens your lungs. It's difficult for you to get a breath in; every once in a while you do, only to begin coughing again. It's a cruel cycle.

"Here, little one, this will make it better," Primo offers a spoonful of nyquil to you. You shake your head, and he sighs. He offers you a sip of tea instead. You take a few sips gratefully, then start coughing again. He holds the tea while you cough, then offers it to you once more. As you open your mouth to take another sip from it, Primo shoves the spoon full of nyquil in your mouth.

You swallow, then immediately start crying.

"Primo!" Says Secondo, voice now full of panic. "Shh, little one, it's over, you're okay," he coos. He take the tea from Primo, offering it to you again. You take the tea from him, giving Primo a glare through your tears.

"They had to take it, fratello," Primo explains gently. "I don't mind being the bad guy. They take comfort from you, not me."

He sighs. "You're right, Primo. I'm sorry." He cradles you in his arms now, trying to still your crying. Though you're still coughing often, it seems the tea is helping. "Hush, little one, it's going to be okay..."

Secondo is trying not to cry; he hates seeing you in distress.

Primo places a hand on his shoulder. "I will go. It is my suggestion to distract them in some way until the nyquil starts working. A movie, perhaps, or a book; when you were sick as a child, I used to sing you to sleep."

"Okay. Thank you, Primo. I greatly appreciate it."

He nods, turning to leave. "It'll get easier. They'll get better. You're doing the best you can." His words bring a small comfort to Secondo. He leaves, and Secondo turns back to you.

"Would you like to watch a movie?" he asks. You nod through a small cough.

"Okay, good, good," he says, still cradling you in his arms. He leans back on the bed, allowing you to shift so that you still clung to him; he turns on the TV, scrolling through the kids' movies. "Let's see here, hm... Ah! This one's new... Bad Guys? Does that sound okay?" You nod tiredly. "Okay, good..." He allows the movie to play, lowering the volume so that you could sleep if you needed to. He pulls the covers over the two of you, allowing you to lay on his chest; you continue coughing into his shirt, but they're more drawn-out than before. He notices your eyes getting hazy. Hopefully, not much longer and you'll be asleep.

About thirty minutes into the movie, he notices the coughing has stopped completely. He looks over and notices your eyelids fluttering, your grip on his shirt loosening. It's clear you're fighting sleep.

"Oh, little one," he coos, "It's alright. Go on to sleep," he encourages, his voice barely above a whisper. You whine. "Shh... It's alright, your papa's here..." he rubs your back, humming softly. He knows you can hear his voice through his chest, and he knows you're in no state to fight sleep any longer than you already have.

You shift so that instead of facing the TV, your face is turned towards him. You let out a small yawn, pressing your face into his chest. His heart melts.

He keeps humming, turning the TV off so that the only thing you have to focus on is him. A few moments later, he watches you let go; your eyelids flutter once, twice, then you're out like a light.

He watches your little chest rise and fall with each even breath you take. He's so thankful that you're finally asleep.

"Rest well, little one," he whispers, and you sleep peacefully until the morning.
