Y/N is in that annoying headspace where she can't tell if she's fallen asleep yet when her phone starts buzzing on her nightstand.
Groaning, she sits up slightly and bats her eyelashes open. She doesn't look at who's calling as she haphazardly reaches out for her phone, pressing the green answer button.
"Hasn't anyone told you you're not supposed to wake a sleeping pregnant woman?" she grumbles into the receiver. Somehow, she's not surprised when she hears Harry's husky laughter on the other side. She squints at the bright screen in the darkness of her bedroom, the time reading 1:37 a.m.
"I have a question for you," he says and she huffs, propping her back up against the array of pillows behind her. Since developing a small bump, sleeping has been unexpectedly irritating — she normally prefers falling asleep on her stomach, but it's kind of impossible with her rounded tummy.
(Besides, one time Harry yelled at her for it, saying he didn't want her to smush the baby. She called him an idiot, explaining that was literally impossible, but he still sent her about six different articles on why you shouldn't sleep on your stomach while pregnant.)
"This couldn't wait until tomorrow? Or sent through a text, maybe?"
"No. I can't sleep and it seemed pretty dire, to be honest."
"Fine," she mutters, "What's your question, Harry?"
"Do you see yourself ever getting married?"
Y/N nearly chokes on her own saliva, annoyance steadily building in her chest.
"Seriously? You want to talk about marriage at 1:30 in the morning?"
"Just answer the question, please."
She sighs, allowing her eyes to shut. Realistically, this is never how she expected her life to go. She assumed, like any other person, that she'd meet someone nice, marry them, start a life with them — she didn't anticipate her first child being brought into the world via a one night stand with someone she didn't even like all that much.
"I don't know," she eventually answers. "I used to, yeah. But I don't know anymore."
"Would you want to get married?"
"Is this you proposing?" she fires back, a stroke of panic firing through her, "Because the answer is no."
"I'm not proposing, Y/N."
"Can you get on with it then? I want to go back to sleep."
There's some shuffling in the background, followed by a deep breath. She wants to roll her eyes but she's too tired.
"Okay. What if, when we're like 40, and if we're both single, we get married?" he asks, making her eyes widen, "Personally, I've always wanted some type of life partner and I'd like to make it official at some point. And I assume dating will be harder for us when the baby's born. And I saw it on Friends, Chandler and Monica talk about making this kind of pact—"
"A marriage pact." Y/N says flatly, "Yes, I've heard of it before."
"Right."
"And you want to make one with me."
"Yeah."
"Harry," Y/N sighs, shifting onto her side and curling up to the pregnancy pillow he bought her last week, "Harry, you're you. I have no doubt that you'll be able to find a husband or a wife or whoever you wanna spend the rest of your life with."
He goes silent at that as she rolls her lips into a thin line. She’s not typically so candid with him, so she blames it on her tiredness. Sure, the only reason why she and Harry know anything about one another is because of the pregnancy. The one thing she did know about him before was that he was a free lover — he put himself out there, he was vulnerable, and he almost always charmed someone into his bed by the end of the night. It was the thing that irked her most about him, but she was self-aware enough to know that it annoyed her because it was her downfall. Her discomfort with expressing romantic emotions, her consistently stormy demeanor — she wasn’t blind to it all.
So, it’s true: She doesn’t doubt Harry will eventually find the true love of his life, but she also doesn’t believe she should subject him to a life with her. They're complete opposites; she imagines a marriage between them would be unsatisfactory on his end.
Based on the jostling in the background, she can imagine the way he's probably flipped onto his stomach, his body tucked into some of the most comfortable sheets and blankets Y/N has ever felt.
(Reluctantly, she asked him a few weeks back where he got them from, and two days later, there was a package on her doorstep from the same retailer. When she demanded to know why he'd spent so much money on a new bedding set for her, he gave her a reasoning along the lines of, "you're carrying my baby, I'm allowed to treat you to things.")
"Okay, but what if I don't? Statistically speaking, I'm sure it's much harder to date as a dad."
"Sure, maybe," Y/N replies, "But that's when co-parenting comes in handy, right? I can always take the baby when you have dates or whatever."
"Don't you think it'll get messy, though?" Harry presses and she smushes her face into her pillow, "Like, what if one of us dates someone that doesn't like our dynamic or gets jealous?"
"Then they're probably not a good partner and we shouldn't date them."
He sighs into the receiver. "Okay, yeah. You're right. Sorry for calling this late, do you still want me to pick you up at noon for the checkup tomorrow?"
She can tell how defeated he is by the drop in his tone and, whether she wants to admit it or not, it makes her heart crack just a little bit. And even though she doesn't know why she says it — she doesn't have enough time to unpack it — she does, and she can't take it back. (She knows Harry will never let her forget it, anyway.)
"Noon is still good," she says, "And... if it really makes you feel better, we can have a marriage pact, Harry."
"Really?"
She rolls her eyes, "Yes. If we're both single at 40, we'll get married. Okay?"
"Are you just saying that because you're annoyed by me?"
"Yes and no. Do you agree or not?"
"Yeah. I agree."
“Okay.”
Harry’s silent on the other line. She tucks her hand under her head, tangling her legs under the blanket he bought her.
“Can I go back to sleep now?”
He clears his throat, “Yeah. Sorry for waking you up. I’ll see you tomorrow?”
“Mhm,” she murmurs, wedging her thumbnail between her teeth, “For the record, regardless of our situation or not, anyone who dates you would be stupid not to wanna be with you forever.”
It’s probably the most truthful and sincere thing she’s ever admitted to him, but something about his vulnerability and insecurity strikes a cord in her.
When he doesn’t immediately reply, she wishes she could eat her words; positive that she’s made him uncomfortable. What a stupid thing to say, he probably thinks I likes him now—
"Thank you," he finally replies and her heart softens at his earnest tone, "Just... thank you. I appreciate that."
"Sure." Y/N mutters. "I'm gonna sleep now."
"Okay. Goodnight, Y/N, sleep well."
Her stomach flutters with butterflies and she doesn't know why. She shakes her head to herself and mumbles out a goodnight, hoping she can manage a dreamless night that doesn't consist of Harry being her husband.
Ugh, she thinks to herself, he's so stupid.

[A SHORT rant about people who have an issue with Black!Readers]
I ALWAYS find it where when people beef with Black people who want to date other Black people.
Because it's 100% racism.
If you think that a Black person dating only Black people is wrong - Anti-blackness is probably the root.
Just kidding it is the root its literally the only solution and explanation hehehe
Because as a trans person - when someone says they're T4T, everyone is fine with that.
Cis people can understand that they will never understand the trans experience, and that trans people may be attracted and want relationships with people who can understand on a personal level.
But when a Black Person say they're 'Black4Black' suddenly that's wrong?? We can't do that??
It's like non-whites cannot grasp that anti-black racism is a very VERY specific experience that we deal with all our lives and we may want partners that can not only support us but relate too. Partners we don't have to explain race shit too.
No- blackness is an experience that HAS to be available to them. Black people's experiences, minds and bodies HAVE to be available for there consumption or we're in the wrong.
We are either there to be consumed (like Hobie is) or ignored (like the Black!Reader is).
All my life I've seen the default OC and default reader be a white person. Readers that don't speak AAVE, that show no attempt at culture outside the 'normal' heteronormative American family.
And suddenly we try to change that for ourselves and that's not cool.
Also - people who say that about Hobie are just outright uneducated.
Hobie is from 1978.
Racial Discrimination in the UK was outlawed in 1965. Regardless of whether you think he's 16 or 19 - Hobie Brown grew up under racial segregation from ages 3-6.
He grew up seeing it - experiencing racism. Living with and being raised by and surrounded by a community of older black people who lived under segregation.
And even after the bill - Racist attitudes would still be surrounding him realistically speaking.
HE'S NOT FROM NOW.
Acting like Hobie has no opinions on that, or experiences, or coping mechanisms or TRAUMA from that - is fucked up.
That's black trauma LOOK AT IT.
So YEAH, A guy who grew up under segregation and a police state would have trauma from it.
But they (racists) wanna sidestep that.
They'll talk all day about Hobie's police related trauma - but not the race thing......okay. Okay, no it's fine. I'm fine.
The idea that Hobie might have unsavory experiences with race makes them uncomfortable. The idea that Hobie would seek out Black Spaces to GET AWAY from white people - makes them foam at the mouth.
Not all white people are racist - but a white person can never understand anti-black racism from a personal view the way Hobie or I or you do.
That's just a fact.
But the idea that there's a special outlet we alone understand about Hobie, and connect with him through, they dislike that.
Anti-Blackness. It's everywhere.

listen man you can do your own thing and life and that’s all cool, it’s hard to ignore the people from my side who are unnecessarily angry with regular Jewish folk rather than the Israel government. Just don’t go out of your way to paint a false picture, eh? Use your brain just enough to draw all the parallels between what happened to we natives, and then compare it to what’s happening in Palestine will ya. Uh... I'm not sure what false picture you're talking about, but I confess that I tend to take people less seriously and put less effort into my arguments to them when they whiff me away as a "genocidal hasbara bot" or whatever they wanna come up with. I assure you that my takes outside of toxic reply sections are very much peaceful two-state solution oriented, while still being realistic and mournful of the many casualties. Besides, it's the only way I find people that are actually down to have a real discussion, and it's always a very pleasant surprise. So far I've only found like 5 of these, you are very welcome to become another, if you feel like it.
As for the higher ups - Hamas is being squashed, and Fatah (a much less radical group that is mostly in the west bank) is hopefully still willing to work with Israel. Meanwhile, the far right government of Israel has lost a lot of its reputation due to an attempt at a judicial reform, against which people were protesting for about 9 months before getting shelved on Oct 7, as well as other things which led to the latest elections being repeated like five times or something. I don't believe they have a real chance to stay the ruling party, but we'll see that on October 2026.
I do not "rally for death", I only stay realistic about it being inevitable when:
a. There's a war against terrorists
b. The terrorists are glad to use human shields and civilian infrastructure.
c. The civilian infrastructure is packed with civilians
d. Weaponry of extreme precision is not largely available
The "unnecessary anger" you speak of has given some of us (Jews) pre-holocaust vibes. I hope you understand what this means, because I simply don't have the words to help you with that. The abhorrent antisemitism, fandom-like behavior, history inversion and yes, rallies for deaths are not "hard to ignore", they should be given all of the attention and criticized until the movement overall would be actually considered more productive than performative. Burning yourself alive isn't "a heroic act of protest", it's something you'd hear about in death cults.

This is kind if a rant post but i just have to get this off my chest what ive seen in the creepypasta/marble hornets fandom is how much some people write Tim/masky as like this very toxic and rude person who just dosent gives a shit about anyone and thats where you can really see who acually watched marble hornets and who didn't i get it not some people acually have the time the watch the whole thing but hey am here to help with that and talk about his caracter a bit
So Tim basicly grew up in a mental hospital and took medication for a long time he had seizures hallucinations and just really bad stuff honesly and hes been tormented by the Operator from a very young age and the hospital he was staying at as a kid burnt down but he goes back to the place pretty offen (he even haves a panic attack and halucinates that the Operator is there wich was honesly way too realistic and scary) he and Brian are frends but Masky and Hoobie are NOT frends Hoobie does everything in his powers to work aginst the Operator and aginst Tim, Hoobie even takes away Tims medication once and we can see him having a seizure (wich was also very scary pls give this man a break)
Now that we kinda got his backstory out of the way lets talk about his personality he comes off as very rude and sassy to people at first and he just seems to hate when people try to get closer to him wich let me tell you something thats a trauma respons my dear people who ware treated badly and got blamed for everything in ther childhood offen push people away in order not to hurt them since Tim blames himself for everything that hapened to Alex Brian and Jay (wich something i do not belive to be true) hes like those people who would rather have you hate him then be disapointed in him but if you somehow manage to spend more time with him you can kinda see how caring he can be its hard to see it but i still see it in him he cares very deeply for the people he loves (he literally give half of the pills he had to Jay when thats basicly what keeps Tim alive and away from a possible seizure) even tho he pushes everyone away he hates begin alone and on his own but i think if you know him enough he will finaly show his true caring self even if he lets somebody get somewhat close to himself he does some things that he wievs as "the best for them" but ends up accidentaly hurting people while trying to protect them he also smokes i forgot to say that
Now for the caracter of Masky we don't acually know much about him we never acually hear anyone calling him Masky in mh i don't know if the creators said it or its a fandom thing hes very agressive but still somewhat smart and hes not on anyones side but dosent nececarrly works aginst the Operator hes very agressive and we never acually hear him talk i like that headcannon that Hoobie is selectively mute and i think that Masky isint hes just an asshole and sees no reason to speak
Also a random fun fact about his caracter he can play the fucking banjo and he haves something what Alex calls "the music room" wich is just a room with instruments pluss one of the creators said that all of them have myspace account wich is super cool i would wanna see what Tims Myspace account looks like

so glad that AI video is here! sort of. kind of. you ever want to see a screensaver that looks like it was designed for windows 2000, where fish are flying through the air across village streets? sora can do that with one easy prompt! you ever wanna see a woman lying in bed, roll over, and watch her arm turn into the comforter? sora can do that too! it's amazing! do you ever want to see a POV of an ant's tunnel that looks like something worse than what you'd see on bbc's planet earth? sora can do that too!
i'm sure we've all seen these videos and many more at this point. the ai evangelists swear that this is a game-changing revolution in its ability to turn simple prompts into movie quality video. assuming that movie quality means a late-stage mcu movie, or madame web, or a direct to video dreamworks knockoff from the early 2000s. really? none of those things. it's not as good as any of those things. and yeah, yeah, i know, "it's going to improve", "this is the worst it's ever gonna look", "it's gonna get more realistic". but there are some who will tell you that this is the beginning of a brave new world. a whole new era! we've got a whole movement that's going to unlock creativity that's been untapped, trapped within people who have no actual talent but, um, some ideas i guess. there's a deep reservoir of those people who society has been wasting for all these years.
let's be real here. more likely, the AI is probably going to be used to much more boring ends than new great works of art when it's not being used for more nefarious ends. on the more boring side of things, you'll have people on the internet say "what if you had batman fight the straw hat pirates from one piece? that's something an ai could do!" fanfic kind of stuff. "what if goku fought superman? who would win? i'll bet ai can show us that!" another thing it can bring to life? sex tapes that you didn't make, but you're going to be starring in! get ready for the future where someone gets mad at you online, and five seconds later, you're in a bondage orgy! have fun at the bondage orgy! that's what ai promises :)
but that's not the worst of it, believe it or not. the real problem with ai is that it's going to give bad actors the ability to create international crises by ginning up phony videos. want to spark a riot in the urban center of a country you don't like? fake a video of a cop killing a kid. it'll go viral and the gas stations will be burning before the city can prove it didn't happen.
wife & i were watching the second season of tokyo vice last night while we were waiting for true detective: night country to come on, and in the premiere episode, there's a video of a sex worker being beaten to death while a gov't minister looks on. when presented with the video, he pulls the shaggy defense and just says "it wasn't me". the denial doesn't wash because the technology at the time couldn't have faked it, but in short order, we're going to be in a future where we won't be able to prove it was or wasn't him. "oh, it was ai". welp. no one will know.
the ability to circulate low-quality, unverified information has real downsides. and if anything, the decades during which i've grown up with the internet prompts me towards a lot more wariness of ai than unbridled enthusiasm. if the best case scenario for ai is what the internet did to the information environment already, we're all fucked. the speed with which things can spread and proliferate is frankly terrifying. the prompts people are using now are dumb, and the programming is not very good, but the ai evangelists are right when they say it's going to get better. and as it gets better, it's going to be more tempting to use it in ways which absolutely are negative for society. i'm sure there are cgi artists working at major studios who will be able to use these things in good ways, but i sit here and i hear people talk about "oh, the great wave of creativity is going to be unleashed by ai!" and i'm just like. what kind of future are you living in, where the technology always works out the way you want, and everyone is happy, and there are flying cars in the sky and rainbows?

We act like the concept of 30 thirty is difficult phenomenon to comprehend when 30 is even the age limit for Korean men to serve. If you can't relate to turning 30 think of how idols have to put their careers on hold for 2 years how they have to shift their life goals and plans to factor in serving by 30.
Vmin are same age yes and OF COURSE they both have to worry about serving before 30. Every Korean Male worries about this at the barest minimum if not anything at all. I don't know why people can't seem to comprehend this.
Like you said, the hyungs went through a similar phase- unlike the hyungs, the maknaes don't get to sit with it. They have to do a lot of thinking at base and we can't tell them cheer up, we can't reassure them, we can't give them a unique perspective- we are on different sides of the wall.

These things are very natural and very common among us humans but especially for people who have a culture where turning 30 is a major rite of passage- Besides, late 20's and early 30's is when lots of people's brains fully mature biologically speaking- or so I hear so it makes sense why people would suddenly start being hyper introspective around that age.
To some it's a myth but to some they do very much enter this hyper introspective phase when they reach that point in their life. If you frame the discourse as one of introspection as you should then you'll find it as preposterous as I do the idea that Tae isn't introspecting about turning 30.

For someone who worries about these on a regular a particular age turn perhaps may not make much of a difference don't you think?
Tae can be very introspective as well. It may not be a seasonal thing for him like it seems to be for Jimin and others but rather more part of who he is.
He doesn't say much during his lives but he can be in his feels too- at the most random times too.

When I first read this my first thought was, "Nooooooooo Chip you don't have to you can stay with Sonado- I mean Sonic and Shadow-" But then I stopped to think about things and honestly? This is probably one of Chip's smartest decisions yet.
Chip, as of right now, hasn't really provided too much to his new group of friends other than being like a little angel on their shoulders to encourage them. Chip doesn't see his efforts as very beneficial to Sonic and Shadow, and their growing bond is accidentally tearing him apart from the two. He's slowly but surely losing his sense of meaning, losing his determination and hope.
TL;DR, Chip feels left out and doesn't feel like he's providing enough overall.
However, Chip is recognizing that with the others, he feels a lot more happy and a lot more helpful. He has much more determination at the thought of joining Tails and Knuckles on their journey to wherever, (I forgot what they're doing and I don't have time to go back and check) and he knows this. Chip recognizes that he isn't as needed with Sonic and Shadow anymore, and if you combine that with the fact that he just got reprimanded by Shadow for the very first time, well... He would just like to get along with the others for now.
While this is a relatively disappointing revelation for Sonic and Shadow, since we know it was never their intention to hurt Chip and make him feel this way, it's a smart decision overall and we should be happy for Chip for making this choice. It's surprisingly mature for someone who just started his physical existence like a week or two ago.
I do feel really bad or double S though because I can only imagine how guilty they must feel about this situation. Sonic especially! Poor guy's already got enough going on and now his adorable travel buddy is ditching him.
Speaking of Sonic, one thing I noticed is that one panel where it shows the bottom of his new shoes. The long, yellow spikes represent Sonic's current physical and emotional state. Sonic feels ugly, both inside and out, due to his constant Werehog state that he turns into at nighttime. He doesn't feel right, like something is tearing him apart bit by bit until he inevitably suffocates and dies. This feeling is represented in the sharpness and ugliness of the spikes, if it's not just the fact that they are spikes in general. Because spikes, as we know in Sonic games, aren't really insta-kills, but they hurt like hell! In a more realistic setting like this one where taking damage is the equivalent to getting realistically injured, (lol I said realistic twice) spikes obviously hurt way more than they do in-game. This panel shows that Sonic is in pain internally due to the amount of spikes, and this allegory is amplified with the look and feel of them. It doesn't help that they are a part of Sonic now, being attached to his shoes and all. This also represents the way that these spikes, or this undeniable ugliness that Sonic feels, is a part of him now. At least until he takes the shoes off, which will likely be after the whole Dark Gaia situation, in which he may put his normal shoes back on.
TL;DR (again) there is a ton of symbolism in just one panel that shows the bottom of Sonic's shoes and I spend way too much time analyzing it all.
There's so much more I wanna talk about with just this panel alone but this is getting really long and I am in the MIDDLE OF CLASS so I should probably continue this later. Thanks for reading and I really like your comic! (Can you tell)

I just wanna say this (I dunno if I am doing the same thing but if I do I'm trying to avoid it as much as possible) When Bullfrog switch to talking French you can write it for unimportant topics/things we can guess without a translator. Cursing also counts ÒwÓ
This comes from real life talks. You don't say things when you know the other person need to hear/understand. Or you do if you want to be sercitive and know that other person not gonna get anything what you talking about. Or don't want them to understand you. (This is also a fun thing to write Ooo~, we shall write something about maybe Bullfrog held captive and the villain don't understand shit he is talking about-- woops get out of the topic there. Sorry. You would get it. It's a perk to being an author I guess. But I'm sure everyone does that~ Creative minds.) Especially when the other person doesn't know french. If the reader specified otherwise not all reader should know french it's unrealistic. I'm going to say it for myself, For example, I don't know French. At least too much. (But I'm learning UwU Not because of Bullfrog I swear) And I'm sure most people here don't know either.

Now that you mention it , I definitely see what you mean … entirely my fault , I honestly thought I was making the whole thing more realistic by adding more French sentences in Bullfrog’s dialogues ( I don’t know French very much either , I got a whole lot to learn , so I know where you’re coming from :,)👍 ) , but it really doesn’t do much other than confuse the readers …
So yeah , I’ll be keeping that in mind from now on !

i'm not wildly invested in this whole key situation(s) but i've just seen so many posts about it and i was curious about your response as you've been very vocal within this discussion haha (pls read this ask in a nice chatty tone, not an argumentative one!). and sorry for the massive text below, you don't have to answer this ask if you don't wanna <3
But, i feel like a lot of the things ppl have gotten angry at key for lately are to a degree unavoidable for him. Like the m*donalds thing: i thought he'd signed an exclusive contract with them way before people starting caring that the chain was in support of isrl. He can't exactly back out of it? i also heard the general opinions of ppl in korea are pretty apathetic towards the current conflict (tho that is it's own conversation) and are unlikely to consider how supporting a brand would impact the situation. it's a lot to expect the average person to display overt political reactions when the conversations they're hearing don't influence their respective communities. Take us, for ex: we wouldn't be as opinionated about this if the spaces we occupy online weren't as vocal as they are. i know the ppl i meet irl don't really talk about it much, who's to say the ppl he knows talk about it? Just a general observation, not an "excuse" for their apathy rly. I just don't see a possibility of him cancelling his contract with them, to sum things up.
As for the Hyuna thing: he's still a person and a celebrity. It's not really like he can just suddenly go public at exclaim to the world how little he wants to associate with her. A response from him would only make the matter worse really, no? He would offend a lot of personal and public people whom he needs to associate with regularly. It would impact his group (shine as a whole) and all the people he works with (like I live alone/amazing saturday casts/etc) and the multitude of brands he is the face of. It's a huge cost to take a stance on a conversation he didn't start (cause hyuna brought it up, not him right? -- sry i don't know much i could be wrong!!). i feel his silence on the matter makes more sense then acknowledging the issue - as sad as that is. and if they have been close firends for years, is it not alot to ask him to drop all contact forever? <perhaps a controversial question, but i would not so readily throw away my own friends. I would hope they come to their senses and/or i'd find a way to make them lol
as for the colorist comments... yeah, that's a long conversation. i'm glad he apologized and has decidedly not said anything like that since..? bare minimum, but don't have much to say on this aspect. he said something truly nasty, but acknowledged it and the harm it did at least.
Just in general, i feel a lot of what he's getting slack for are out of his control and not necessarily indicative of who he is as a person. There is so much ambiguity to how he must behave given his career, it feels like his lack of response(s) are fairly justifiable. Shinee has been trying so hard lately to become as relevant as possible so they can compete with newer generations of kpop. I don't see him realistically putting that at risk. But, perhaps i'm wrong! who knows!

some of the asks i've gotten have made me think, and i just wanted to put some of these thoughts out there instead ranting in one response to a person's ask lol
this is kinda long so ignore if you don't wanna hear it
when i joined the fandom in 2018, snc were 22ish. i was 23. and things were different back then for a number of reasons, but there are a lot of similarities to the old fandom versus what we are now.
one of the things that i've noticed is ppl complaining about snc not interacting with us as much as they once did. and while i do agree with that, i think we have to remember the size of what we were vs now. when i joined, they had only just gotten to a million and some change. now they are at almost 12 mil. that's more than a major city's worth of ppl. that's a fuck ton of ppl. and yes, not every single person subbed is looking to be interacted with. and i do think they could interact with us more - i'm not arguing against that. but what i am saying is…. think for one moment.
snc have a very small number of times they have truly off. where they don't have to do ANYTHING work related, and sadly - talking to us is work related. they still have to log on and be "Sam and Colby", "Sam Golbach" or "Colby Brock" when they talk to us. they don't get to just be snc or sam or colby. and reality is, i understand that after hours of doing work, or something related to work, would you really want to talk to your coworkers afterwards? probably not always.
that's not to say snc don't appreciate us. i believe they do. but i also think they have dedicated a lot of their time to us over the years and now they just want to take some of that back so that they have a life of their own outside of work. and look, there are plenty of ways they can free up more time so that they could have weekends off and maybe end up interacting with us more. right now, i think, is more of transitional period of trying to see what works and what doesn't. snc have made it known that they are basically almost burned out, that they had no personal life for years now, and that when they did have significant others they couldn't even spend time with them bc they were always so busy. and i think now they want that time, instead of just hoping to get that time.
not only that, but their priorities have changed. realistically at some point they are gonna want to start a family or at least find ppl they want to start families with. that means less time with us. that's just gonna happen.
but a lot of this drama started popping up once k and m came into the picture more often. and i always knew the fandom would overreact to colby getting a gf, but sam breaking up with kat and then getting a new one in half a year definitely caused a lot of uproar, even more than i expected.
this is a side tangent i have to go on, but it does relate to this point: one of the things i like to do in my free time is go thru old fan accounts on insta and just see what was posted back in the day. bc there was a time period, 2015 - 2017, that i wasn't here. so there's a lot to catch up on in a way. well, in 2017 sam introduced kat to everyone. and i came across a confessions account. and would you like to hear some of the stuff fans said about her?
"she's changing sam for the worst" "i don't think she's right for sam" "she's gonna get in between sam and colby's friendship" "she's a clout chaser" "she doesn't deserve to be with him"'
ain't it weird how history always repeats itself?
but funny enough, fans grew to like her. bc she became friendly with us. she made it a point to interact and befriend us, and she grew her own following bc of snc. she grew fans that liked her more than snc. and that's great. but in the beginning, not everyone liked her. and that's the same issue k and m are having now.
the difference is, instead of the less than a million ppl that she had to deal with possibly disliking her, k and m have to deal with 12 million ppl (roughly) not liking them. which also means snc have to deal with 12 million ppl not liking the girls they are, most likely, in love with.
all of this is to say, i think there's a reason why snc haven't hard launched the girls. not only that, but we as a fandom are not owed an explanation into their personal lives. they have been nice enough (or stupid enough) to show us that side. and clearly this is them setting a boundary so fans don't get in the way, once again, at them finding someone they might love. bc let's be honest here, this fandom has for sure at least once fucked up colby's chances of finding a girl bc of how mean fans get.
but this is not to say that bc they want privacy or a boundary in place that that means they won't ever show the girls off (or that they are hypocritical for doing so). that's not what that means. it just means you don't get to know EVERYTHING.
i also think this is a major test snc are throwing our way, and we are all failing with flying colors. this is them, for the first time, setting a boundary and making it apparent that there is space between us and their personal lives, and instead of accepting that and allow snc to choose what they want to give us and what they don't - we are berating them for not giving enough and how dare they not explain to us what's going on. it's clearly laid out there babes: use your brain. snc are taking a step back, whether you like it or not. and you don't get a say in this.
that's not to say that if you are a fan that is just bitching about the lack of content as of recent that you are somehow lumped into all of this. if that's all you're complaining about - that's fine. i understand wanting to be in a fandom with constant things to talk about (ie content) so obviously, the snc fandom is not for you at this very moment. if that's the case, instead of complaining about it (or somehow saying it's the girls' fault) leaving would be your best option.
as for me and the few ppl i'm friends with, imma chill over here, ignore the twitter peeps as best i can, and keep it moving. when snc post, i'll gladly watch bc i'm here for them - not for yall.
and if snc confirm they're with the girls, i'll be happy for them just like i'm happy for them now. i genuinely just want them to be happy at the end of the day. my opinion doesn't and shouldn't matter to them and i'm glad it doesn't.

This movie is really cheaply made. It's shot like it's some secret person recording these kids. It's awkward zooms and hectic cuts. But it also adds to the charm. It makes it feel... real. Like we're seeing them right now in these moments, not putting up an act.
Also, campy movies are the best movies :D

Rant about my dr
So I compare Klaus to the sun a lot. He just brightens up my day. Joseph Morgan tried to dial down his happy attitude but it peaked a little when he was playing my man. You can't see it like all the time but when he talks to Caroline (even though I hate that ship) and Camille you can see it. He's so funny and always knows what to say. I feel like he makes dad jokes all the time just because of season 3 of tvd. Mainly cause seeing him and Gloria interact. He just looks like an angel to me. His smile brightens me up even if he's doing it in a taunting way. God I love that man. I find so much happiness in just hearing his name.
Now let's talk about my sister. Bonnie is so strong and always there for everyone but I always wondered what her dreams would've been. She talked about traveling with Enzo but that's when she realized mystic falls was evil. What were her dreams in the beginning of the show? I have to ask her. I don't even know what her likes and dislikes are. She stands by her morals and doesn't back down at all. I admire that about her. I was going to make her my older sister but I wanted to be 19 so I didn't. Plus I wanted her to have someone to turn to for comfort instead of another person asking something of her. She handled the pressure of having to save everyone well but she shouldn't have to.
My cousin Lucy gives me party girl vibes. She's down to do anything. That's a real ride or die girl. She seems like she always has something up her sleeves. You never know what's going to come out of her mouth like at all. I'm basing this all off a fanfic cause she didn't really get screen time. That's the person you go to if you wanna take your mind off things but as soon as you wanna talk about it she'll have the best advice. She's so cool.
My friend Margo is the most serious honest person you'll ever meet. She gives her most honest opinion about everything even if it hurts your feelings. She gets you focused on the task at hand and that's why I love her. I need stability and she gives it every time. She holds your hair back when you're throwing up but yells at you for doing the bet in the first place. She's so caring but in her own little way. She's the friend that reminds you to do your taxes.
Pam is the funniest and smartest friend I have. She is the one who does your taxes. You could trip and fall and she will laugh at your ass instead of helping you up. That girl knows how to make you smile. No one is like Pam. She's weirdly sophisticated tho. Like she has tea at a cafe and writes poetry. Sometimes it's for show so she'll find someone who'll sweep her off her feet like in the books. Huge romantic but very realistic. She knows she's delusional but doesn't care. Unlike Gayatri.
Gayatri is a vibe to be around. She's such a sweetheart and very sensitive. Her and Caroline get along extremely well. If you're crying she's going to cry with you. She gets so excited when someone is happy. She has dress up parties and we act like we're in a fashion show. The most fun you could ever have. She would do every TikTok trend if we had TikTok. Arts and crafts are her favorite thing to do.
Pietro Salvatore. He is such an older brother to all of us except his actual brothers. He indulges in our runway shows by letting us dress him up. He starts trouble all the time. Him and Damon are like evil twins but he knows how to chill. He's just as delusional as the rest of us. If not more. He loves taking care of plants. If you knock down any of his room plants please run. He got a bit of a temper. He's so petty and stubborn it kills me. He reads the newspaper as well and I feel like that's old folks activity but he says otherwise. (Old as shit)
