”Israel is committing genocide!”
Dude, Israel is literally making history for how much they help Palestinian casualties stay low
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Unlike Hamas, billionaires that they are, aren’t lifting a PINKY to help their people.
But this ^^^ is not genocide.

Gazan women and children shouting "yes to returning of the hostages!" in incredibly rare protest against Hamas, demanding to end the war (returning the hostages) and be let back to their homes in the north of the strip. This is a first protest of its scale since October 7th, and one of many instances where Gazans are slowly starting to speak more freely against the fundamentalists who are enslaving them since 2007.

Do leftists care how awful Hamas is for the Palestinians?
A friend of mine, an Israeli guy who goes to shul with me, told me a story from a different squad in his platoon during his IDF service. This probably would have been 2014 if I had to guess.
They were out on patrol, and encountered a Palestinian kid in a wheelchair. He was chained to a railing. And he was clearly mentally disabled in some way.
At first, they were confused. They didn't understand why he was there. Then they looked a little closer.
The wheelchair was rigged with 25 kilos of high explosives.
I probably shouldn't have been, but I was genuinely flabbergasted. Like, how does one rationalize doing that? Using a disabled kid as bait to kill people? How does one look down at themselves doing that and say, "Yep, this is something I'm okay with."
Just try to grasp their logic. A mentally disabled kid isn't going to be helpful to Hamas as a fighter. If they dehumanize him, use him solely as a pawn to cause pain and suffering, then maybe they can make the situation go badly and have the world report about "IDF troops murder disabled Palestinian kid in a wheelchair!" Maybe in another timeline, this kid is a new Rachel Corrie, a tragedy which gets propagandized to hell and used to demonize Israel and Jews. Maybe this kid's name would be widely known.
And then I scrolled on Tumblr, and found the usual--people saying Hamas was a resistance group, fighting against oppression. Like... I don't think that with all the time and effort in the world, I could ever understand the unspeakable barbarity and psychopathy required to glorify these acts, to stand up and say that you support these tactics.
Palestine is suffering, a lot. It's suffering under the jackboot of indefensible monsters who throw their own people under the bus to hurt other people. Hamas hates Jews more than they love their people. Hamas started a war with a technologically superior enemy and create situations in which both their people lose, and they hurt Israeli civilians. And they don't even have any voices in the west who genuinely support Palestine--instead, they're stuck with people who support them living under terrorist dictators.
So, guess what? If you defend Hamas even a little bit, if you rationalize about "the socioeconomic conditions" or "I don't condone their tactics, but they sure send the Zionist Entity running!" or whatever the fuck, you're not just an antisemite, you're a terrorist defender who should be on a list.

I am sick and tired of 20 year old fucks who don't know shit on this website telling me Palestinians don't hate Jews or wish to kill them.
As someone who actually lives in Israel and went through three Intifadas and a few wars and has friends kidnapped and murdered:
FUCK. YOU.
Do not gaslight Jews.
Do not lie to the world.
It's the same as telling a South Korean that the North never wants a war or dictatorship.
It's the same as telling women under Taliban that they won't be murdered for wearing whatever they wanted.
And if you think ripping out a kidnapped poster makes you a freedom fighter-May your soul go to hell and may you suffer the same for your family.

listen man you can do your own thing and life and that’s all cool, it’s hard to ignore the people from my side who are unnecessarily angry with regular Jewish folk rather than the Israel government. Just don’t go out of your way to paint a false picture, eh? Use your brain just enough to draw all the parallels between what happened to we natives, and then compare it to what’s happening in Palestine will ya. Y’all can co-exist, your higher ups just choose not to. Rally for peace, not death 🕊️
Uh... I'm not sure what false picture you're talking about, but I confess that I tend to take people less seriously and put less effort into my arguments to them when they whiff me away as a "genocidal hasbara bot" or whatever they wanna come up with. I assure you that my takes outside of toxic reply sections are very much peaceful two-state solution oriented, while still being realistic and mournful of the many casualties. Besides, it's the only way I find people that are actually down to have a real discussion, and it's always a very pleasant surprise. So far I've only found like 5 of these, you are very welcome to become another, if you feel like it.
As for the higher ups - Hamas is being squashed, and Fatah (a much less radical group that is mostly in the west bank) is hopefully still willing to work with Israel. Meanwhile, the far right government of Israel has lost a lot of its reputation due to an attempt at a judicial reform, against which people were protesting for about 9 months before getting shelved on Oct 7, as well as other things which led to the latest elections being repeated like five times or something. I don't believe they have a real chance to stay the ruling party, but we'll see that on October 2026.
I do not "rally for death", I only stay realistic about it being inevitable when:
a. There's a war against terrorists
b. The terrorists are glad to use human shields and civilian infrastructure.
c. The civilian infrastructure is packed with civilians
d. Weaponry of extreme precision is not largely available
The "unnecessary anger" you speak of has given some of us (Jews) pre-holocaust vibes. I hope you understand what this means, because I simply don't have the words to help you with that. The abhorrent antisemitism, fandom-like behavior, history inversion and yes, rallies for deaths are not "hard to ignore", they should be given all of the attention and criticized until the movement overall would be actually considered more productive than performative. Burning yourself alive isn't "a heroic act of protest", it's something you'd hear about in death cults.

"jesus was Palestinian" 🤡 y'all trying so hard to retcon Palestine into existence it's fucking tragic. a basic Google search can tell you that Jesus was a Jewish man born in the Kingdom of Judea. you don't have to rewrite history to campaign for Palestinian rights and self determination!!! you don't have to fucking lie!!!!

"We want a ceasefire!"
No you don't.
No you fucking don't.
Let's be honest, okay?
You dont want a ceasefire. You want the IDF out of Gaza. You want Israel to stop bombing cities in gaza. You want Israel to stop chasing Hamas.
You want Israel to stop.
That's not a ceasefire. It's closer to surrender than ceasefire, really.
You don't care about whether Hamas will keep fire rockets on Israel. You don't care if the hostages will return. It would be great, yeah, but you don't care.
Or am I wrong?
Come on, tell me that in the same breath, in the same righteous rage that you call for Israel to stop bombing Gaza, you call for the Hostages to come back.
Tell me that in the same way you mourn the death of children in Gaza, you mourn the death of the thousands of innocents that died a month ago, when Hamas murdered them in October seven.
Tell me that in the same way you oppose Israel right now you for killing civilians you opposed Hamas in October seven for murdering 1400 people in their homes.
Tell me you give a single damn about this. About any of it.
But you can't. Because you don't.

The thing that baffles me the most about the Israel/Gaza conflict is that it shows how many people are susceptible to propaganda. People I respected for doing fact-checks before have utterly failed in educating themselves.
You want to help the people of Gaza and want to see them live in peace?
Great! In that case you should care to educate yourself on the matter that they actually GOT to settle down in peace. For example in Jordan (which’s population consists to 90% of Palestinians), until Arafat (who was Egyptian, and not Palestinian) realized he could utilize them by pocketing 400$ / month for each Palestinian civilian he forced to stay a refugee.
And like Arafat used these civilians to get rich himself, the Hamas uses all the money spend on humanitarian aid for Gaza to get rich. Their leaders are literally Billionaires who lived on Qatar, while their henchmen shoot at desperate starving civilians who want part of the humanitarian aid! The Hamas is pocketing the fuel, the water and the food for themselves. They even admit they want the civilians’ suffering because it will pressure Israel.
Anyone here who was heartbroken for the girls killed in Iran a few years ago? Someone who thinks Black Lives Matter?
Because yeah, you’re supporting right now the people that killed that girls in Iran AND all the children in Gaza. Who are racist against POC.
Putin would call you an “useful idiot”, well done.

to all those who say "Were the children who died in Gaza terrorists??!" were the victims during October 7th terrorist? Obviously not... however you have to realise that these deaths occurred for VERY different reasons, this is WAR and war is sad and difficult, but Hamas started this war, they always do, they killed for no reason other than the hatred towards innocent people, Israel however keep trying their hardest to AVOID civilian casualties whereas Hamas purposefully put the very people they are supposed to lead and protect in harms way, if they weren't as awful as they really are maybe instead of attacking a festival and kibbutz they would have only attacked an IDF base and ONLY that... but guess what? they didn't... they went after people with no way to defend themselves! and also people who weren't even Israeli... Dogs, Men, Women, Children, Elderly... no weapons... just people who wanted to dance and have fun and eat and be with family, they wanted peace and all they got was pain and fear before being mercilessly raped and murdered and tortured and burned... please people stop supporting Hamas and denying what monsters they truly are. from the bottom of my heart I feel awful for those who are going through this war, but I do not feel sorry for Hamas nor their supporters and never fucking will. change your minds before its too late. Hamas inflate and fake their casualties... we all know this stop listening to them!

Thank you for answering me (I apologize if my previous question made you upset or anything, this is a very heavy horrifying scenario after all) I sincerely hope that all the remaining innocent civilians trapped (Palestinian and Israeli) in the middle of this conflict are able to survive and recover from some of this... I know it won't be easy...but its literally the bare minimum at this point...
... that's all, thank you again for answering me.
I never took your comment in bad faith, don’t worry! The entire situation is complicated. But we do have to acknowledge the citizens who participated in October 7th do need to be punished eventually. Through bombing and collateral damage? No. But you understand what I’m saying. It is sad that the bombing does seem to be the best way Israel can fight back against Hamas and is working. I really do wish there could be a simpler way, but sadly it doesn’t seem like it unless Hamas just surrenders. If we want at least one bright side, though it is still rather dim, Israel fighting in Palestine is one of the lowest modern civilian to militant casualty rates in history! So that’s.. something.

More tales from Palestinian social media: Gazans are furious to find out Hamas members are fleeing Gaza now that Rafah is encircled by the IDF and they have nowhere else to hide. While regular Gazans are not allowed to pass through the border, even if they have the blackmail money, Hamas members and their friends and affiliates comfortably pass through, with only their names left behind on the immigration logs:

Really makes you think who exactly are these "independent journalists" who managed to leave Gaza are. Really gets that noggin joggin

your understanding of the palestinian genocide is flawed and you should likely shut the fuck up before you speak over any group who has been killed en masse. irish, native, palestinian or otherwise. youre attribution of these massacres to being "hamas" fault is plainly wrong. you should just enjoy your silly little fandoms and let actual adults, actual people with actual families who have been actually torn to shreds by tanks or forced into re-education camps, do the talking. if you wanna dull yourself for the sake of your corporate masters, then do so, but dont drag your friends and anyone unlucky enough to listen to your stupidity down with you. for fucks sake. real people are dying by the thousands. do us all a favor and shut the fuck up.
XD Bro you did not seriously use the phrase "corporate masters."
You people keep proving over and over you seriously think you're radical revolutionaries. XD you're not, you're extremist dumbasses who harass and threaten everyone who questions your dogmatic narrative.
I will not shut up. No matter how much you idiots harass me, threaten me with death or rape, or wish suicide from me. Literally the only thing you're doing by pulling this crap is making me more and more sure I need to keep speaking up.
After all, you wouldn't want me to shut up so badly if what I was saying wasn't making a difference to someone. :P

Taxi stories in Israel
So the last month I had to take a few taxis back and forth from places. Since where I live is an arab neighbourhood, most of the taxi drivers are arabs.
Every single one of them cried with me about what happened on October 7th. Every single one told me they wish they could officially stand up and talk about how horrified they were, how they called their Jewish friends and some even bravely drove over to the party to save as many as they could while risking their lives, but they can't because they and their family will be murdered by their own people.
Imagine that your biggest fear isn't the Jews, it's your own friends who will murder you for standing with humanity.
Today, the taxi driver was a guy called Muhammad who apparently is my neighbour. He laughed with me about us living so close and he would have invited me over for coffee. Then he said:
"I was there, you know? At the party. I drove two girls from Tel Aviv, put some Mizrahi music for them to have fun in the taxi and waited for their call to pick them up the next day.
At 6 AM, I get a call from one of them. 'Don't come, they are murdering us. Don't come!!' I couldn't believe it. She, a jewish girl, was under attack and she was protecting me, a muslim arab? I turned around and drove straight into the party, Palestinians threw rocks and tried to gun me down. I picked them up and drove as fast as I could back to Tel Aviv, sirens from rockets all over the country blasting our ears."
"I have to ask. Why did you do it? Why risk yourself?" I asked him in awe and respect.
"What do you mean why? We are humans! This isn't about religion! It's about knowing to be a human being, no matter what cost."
Thank you, to all Israeli Arabs who support Israel. You brought back my hope for a better future.
Shabbat Shalom, may it be a quiet, safe and loving.
