#there's Something weird about the dormitory I looked at but I can't put my finger on it. apart from the awful smell in the laundry room

I got to look at the room in the dormitory and now I'm torn between taking it and running, or maybe taking a bit more time to find something... less really cramped and where the washing machine doesn't smell sour, somehow
#and i have to decide today help#like yeah my flatmates are awful and I hate them and am in a bad mood whenever they're home#but they're usually gone on the weekends so at least I'm alone then#there's Something weird about the dormitory I looked at but I can't put my finger on it. apart from the awful smell in the laundry room#but I mean I could take my laundry to a laundromat if I really didn't want to use that washing machine I guess#there's shared kitchens there too but oh well i've done that before#but by god am I looking forward to living alone after university#all I want is a flat with enough space for a large bed or a pull-out couch for when friends visit#and ideally a balcony and cats allowed#mine#jess' flatmate rants#am I being too picky? all student rooms are very small and shared kitchens and bathrooms are normal#what really threw me off was the washing machine ngl#aaah maybe that's another thing: my old dorm was bigger so more anonymous#this one has a kitchen for 8-10 people#i'm not very social; I don't want to be friends with the people in my dorm; I want to be alone and left alone when I'm at home#anyway. guess I have that to consider for the next hour or so#aah Vse Kar Vem came up and I'm crying again; wonderful#also you know those days when anyone talking in the same room as you makes you want to murder them? i'm on like week two or three of that#with no stop and idk why and what's wrong; send help#ngl maybe my problem is less with the dorm itself and more that I literally can't imagine a good future for myself right now#where I get to not live either in my childhood bedroom forever or only ever with flatmates which. I'm never moving in with strangers again#and I have no friends I could move in with who would want that or don't already live with their boyfriends

(KIND OF) WIP - remus lupin
a remus fic i started before my absence that i felt too lazy to finish. the vision here is the floating/flying scene in howls moving castle where sophie and howl met for the first time. i just thought the scene seemed very remus so voila!
Tumblr media
"moony, are you sure we're allowed to be here?" you asked, remus' hand holding yours as you both stroll around the rooftop of hogwarts. he doesn't answer, simply looking back with his usual smirk. you rolled your eyes at his action, annoyed with his response, yet you continued to follow him— you're afraid letting go of his hand would result in injuries you don't wish upon yourself.
it was early in the morning, the sun yet to rise and the wind freezing your head off. you doubt even filch was awake at this hour.
remus woke you up with some spell that resulted for his voice echoing inside your head. he repeatedly said your name, calling out for you, until you finally got up from your bed. you wore your gryffindor robe underneath your pajamas, sneaking out of the dormitory through a hidden tunnel with the weird map james gave you a few weeks ago.
when you met with him, remus practically dragged you away without haste.
you both rode the boy's broom and now you're here in the rooftop of your school.
you tried to sneak a glance on the edge before remus pulled you back, circling his arms around your waist.
"don't look down." he whispered to your ears, his icy breath making you shiver. "that's something you should keep in mind while we do this." he added with that playful grin of his.
you nodded, facing the boy in confusion. "what exactly is this we're doing?"
"i told you, didn't i?" he looked up at you for a second as he unties what you presumed was his wand. "i'll show you how beautiful magic is."
you've always known remus as one of the many avid fans of magic; you would not need to spend a year with him to know that fact. he's exceptional with spells and potions, even making james and sirius jealous of his natural talent. while you weren't a bit of an optimist yourself when it came to magic, he was totally enamored by it.
it began with a casual conversation in the gryffindor common room, right after muggle studies. this obviously lead for both you and lily, being the marauders' muggle friends, the center of the topic.
.
.
.
"is it true that you pay for lights in your home?" james asked lily, making her snicker at his question.
"yes, james. unlike here, we muggle borns create our electricity from scratch." lily started before looking at you to continue. you sat up from the couch, "but since we only have nature as our resources, it takes a lot of effort and equipments, hence why we pay."
sirius chuckled, "sounds like a bummer." you and lily both nodded in agreement, making the rest laugh.
"well, now you're both here, what'd you think?" james first looked in your direction, waiting for your answer.
you could only shrug as you lean back on the couch more, fiddling with the hem of your shirt. "s'fine, very different from what i'm used to."
"the magic, i presume?" sirius quipped. you hummed in agreement, "you presumed correctly, sir black. believe it or not, i'm still pretty scared on using magic, really."
this caused a whole knew topic, even making remus who only listened to the conversation while he read look up from his book, eyes fixated on you.
"medias in our world don't put magic in great light, that's all i can say." you chuckled.
"magic's not that bad." remus joined the conversation, "it's fun and even charming, sometimes." his gaze was set solely on you; you can't lie, you felt a bit intimidated with his stare. you thought that maybe you offended him in any way, making you nervous.
"easy for you to say, moony! you're the best in gryffindor with magic." james teased, standing up from his position on the floor, pointing fingers at his friend. remus laughed, humbly shaking his head, "what about this,"
he crossed his arm, a small smile on his face. "i'll prove it to you. give me about a week and tell me what you think by the end."
"are we hearing some bets, lads?" sirius perked up with a mischievous grin forming on his face.
"ten galleons, she still has the same opinion." james excitedly chimed in.
peter joined james while sirius bet his own ten galleons against them— lily whispered something to james while she gave her galleons. you and remus made eye contact, chuckling at your friends. he mouths a sorry for the unintentional betting between the two of you. you shook your head in amusement, mouthing back an "it's okay".
.
.
.
it is now friday, the final day of the remus' magic lessons.
"y'know, i can always say i changed my mind about the whole magic thing— or not, whatever who you prefer to win." you approached him, who's still busy with reading something in his notebook, mumbling a spell you can't properly hear because of the harsh wind.
remus shakes his head, "i didn't do this for the bet." he simply said, tucking the small notebook inside the pockets of his robe. "i meant it."
"but you don't have to go through so much effort just because i have a different opinion on things. i'm a tad afraid to say what my favorite foods now." you joked, making him laugh.
"this is nothing. if it's you, merely a speck of dust."
you weren't able to reply when he pointed the wand to himself, chanting a spell you've never heard. a couple of your heartstrings strummed at how sincere he sounded, your cheeks feeling warm under the cold breeze. you quietly watched as some kind of light get absorbed inside remus' body, making him gasp at the pressure.
in less than a second, he began to slowly levitate off the roof. your eyes widened, "remus?" you called out for him. you tried to grab for your wand, remembering any spell you learned in d.a.d.a that might help.
the brunette waved his hand, making you pause. "it's alright. grab my hand." he squatted down to your level, reaching for your hand. you hesitated at first but the look of trust on remus' face made you build up a little bit of courage inside of you. with a sigh, you interlocked your finger with his.
he grabbed you by your waist, pulling you closer. your arms automatically circled around remus' neck, stepping on his foot, as you both continued to float ever so slightly upwards.
you let a small gasp at the distance of the school to the both of you.
"don't look down." remus repeated. you obediently followed out of fear, closing your eyes as you tightened your grip on the boy even further. "i just said don't look down, not close your eyes. c'mon, hold onto my hand."
you can tell the amusement in voice when he removed your arms on him, once again interlocking your fingers with his. you focused on your breathing then at remus' before opening your eyes. he makes eye contact with you, staring at you softly. if the both of you weren't in the middle of the sky right now, you would've turned your head away.
"listen to my instructions carefully, okay?" you nodded, taking a deep breath. "i want you to slowly turn your body away from me."
"how will i able to do that!?" you exclaimed.
"you trust me, don't you?" remus replied immediately, his calm tone cooled down your nerves. in reality, you do trust him— with all your life even. but the fear inside of you wanted say otherwise.
still, you nodded, hesitantly humming as well. making one final look at remus, you started to turn around. he kept a tight grip on you the whole time, whispering reassuring words into your ears.
"now, remove your feet from mine. it's starting to hurt." you looked at remus like he was crazy, making him laugh. "i'm joking— except for the first part. you still need to do it."
"i can't— what if i fall? i might not grab my wand on time before i splatter on the ground!"
"you're not going to fall, i promise. i'll even make an unbreakable vow if you want." you scoffed at his exaggeration but somehow did help you build up enough courage to do what he says.
you stepped on the air on foot, your hands shaking in remus' grip. "one more." he said encouragingly. you take a deep breath before moving your other feet, eyes closed out of fear.
the wind still softly hitting your face made you peak through your eyelids, seeing that you were still in remus' arms, floating. you turned to look at him with a weak smile, greeting you with his large grin. your heart swelled at the sight.
"finally," his voice made you go back to reality, "i want you to start walking."
"walking?" you repeated his words, "i don't know if you realize the lack of ground to walk on, moony."
remus shrugged, "imagine, then."
"imagine. one of my favorites hobbies." you muttered, attempting to walk normally but ended up flailing around. he laughed with how you looked, you gave him a glare in return.
"follow my lead." your eyes looked down on the boy's legs, imitating what seemed to be his definition of walking on air.
it was easy to catch up with his action, "that's right. just continue doing that until we land back on the ground."
you were to engrossed at the fact you're quite literally striding your way into the sky to reply to remus' words, laughing to yourself in amusement.
the sun began to shine as the both of you got closer the ground, giving you the best view of the sunset— even better than the view on one of hogwarts' open balconies.
"it's gorgeous, moony!" you beamed, slightly beginning to flail around once again in excitement.
"i knew you'd like this the best." he commented with a satisfied tone. his squints his eyes as he stares into the sunlight, turning his attention towards you.
the light perfectly illuminates your features, your eyes glowing in his view. remus can feel the way your hands lose its tremble, your grip on him still tight and firm yet interlocked.
the both of you were almost close to a hill, striding down imaginary steps.
"continue walking even if we land; helps with the impact better." he hugged your body with his other arm, pushing you close to him. you could feel his heartbeat against your back and you pray to merlin he doesn't hear your rapidly beating ones.

a/n: hihi everyone :> so the slowbburn is starting to happen 👀 dont get too excited there will barely be any, i know what u guys want and no ur not getting it <3 but i hope u all like this chapter and i'll see you in the next one 😘😘
“does that mean you aren’t tired of me?”
“...you’re so weird.”
yunmei scoffed, laughing quietly. casey put the lollipop back in his mouth, before shooting finger guns at Yun. she clutched her heart, looking up at him with betrayal.
“kay, ‘m gonna go study. see'ya in class?”
casey questioned.
"heh, yeah. see'ya."
yun giggled, waving goodbye to her friend.  she slumped on her bed once more. she hadn’t really thought about this, but she felt lax around casey. she didn’t feel tired after talking to him, nor did she feel angered or irritable in his presence. she felt…excited to see him again.
I.H DORMITORY; 12:04 A.M
mom: [insert photo]
mom: i came home and they all asleep on couch, i don’t want to wake them ♥️
casey: aw
casey: I’ll be home soon, don’t work too much okay? You know what the doctor said
mom: yes i know, i rest. But your father is worse, he has been coming home very late now.
casey: thank you mom, i love you
casey: tell dad to rest more okay? I’ll work hard to help you
mom: okay, i love you too my son. Thank you ♥️ ♥️
casey clicked off his phone. the moon glowed brightly in contrast to the dark sky. he walked to the window, leaning against it. back at home whenever the moon was visible, casey would always sit at his windowsill and just watch the moon while writing out some music lyrics. you could say the moon was his muse, but he liked to call it ‘once a month motivation”. he slid the window up and sat on the ledge.
casey reached over to his nightstand, grabbing a notebook and a pen. he began to hum a tune, scribbling in his notebook. when it came to writing lyrics, casey would always find something to write about. when his parents gifted him a music studio in their basement, he would spend hours down there. if he had to rank the things he missed the most, his family would be first. but coming in second would be his studio.
“aren’t you cold?”
casey turned to the quiet yet smooth voice. there, at his door stood yun. she was leaning against his door, her arms crossed with. she wore an oversized blue varsity hoodie and donned white and blue polka dotted pyjama pants. a beanie sat on her head, completing the outfit.
“nope, and why are you up? don’t you have a huge exam tomorrow?”
yun waved away the topic, her face curling up into a sour expression.
“let’s not talk about that. just got a little thirsty and i didnt have water.”
casey nodded his head, glancing at yun. he noticed that her gaze was focused on his wall. the faint glow from his desk lamp illuminated the plaster walls. from afar, it seemed to mostly be casey’s family but yun couldn’t tell. The boy turned back to his notebook, writing away.
“y’know, you can come in if you want.”
“you sure?”
“yeah, I don’t have much to hide. feel free to come in whenever you’d like.”
yun hesitantly stepped into the room, her hands together behind her back. she had seen casey’s room before, but actually hadn’t been inside. as she got closer yun was able to look at the photos. there were pictures of casey’s siblings, a couple of his friends who she assumed were from his high school, and the rest were just miscellaneous photos.
“never knew you had pets.”
casey looked up towards yun, who was looking intently at a picture of a husky and an akita with a siamese cat squished between the two.
“oh, yeah. the husky is koda, the akita is yoshi, and the cat is ivy.”
a light breeze blew through the window and into the room, whisking up any loose papers. some of the rather poorly-taped photos fell off, and onto the floor. yunmei bent to pick them up, but when her hand touched the picture a warm hand had enveloped hers. she looked at the arm, then the body it was attached to.
casey and yun stared at each other, an awkward silence brewing. after a couple of seconds casey lifted his hand. he muttered a small apology, and stuffed his hand into his pocket. if it weren’t for the minimal amount of light, yun could swear she saw a hint of pink on casey’s face.
“...sorry. knew i should’ve used more tape, they kept falling off.”
“it’s fine, don’t worry about it. um, i'm gonna go...get water. see’ya in film tomorrow?”
“yeah, see’ya.”
;;
1:27 A.M
tiffany: hey, we’re gonna start soon. u ready?
yunmei: yes ma’am 🫡just lemme connect my audio set rq
another week, another episode of goodnight central. this was yunmei’s third episode with tiffany. the two got along well, and hit it off instantly. everytime their breaks lined up the two would make an effort to meet up.
“okay hi, ready.” yun said, adjusting her microphone stand.
“yeah, clicking the live button in 3...2…1.”
;;
casey tossed and turned in his bed. he had been keeping up with goodnight central, but it’s taken him longer to fall asleep. a quiet ding rang from his phone. reaching over, he turned it on.
missed a couple episodes of goodnight central? Just click to catch up.
he looked at the time displayed on his phone. 1:32 a.m. Casey remembered goodnight central starts at 1:30, and was desperate to try and get some rest. Clicking the notification, he turned up the volume a couple of times before setting the device down on his nightstand.
“i'm q.y.”
“i’m tiffy, and welcome back to goodnight central. on today’s episode, we’ll be talking about how to not get FOMO.”
“oh my god, i haven’t heard that word in so long.”
that voice…q.y…that was what casey needed. as she continued to speak, casey found himself getting sleepier, and sleepier until his eyes closed and his breaths became even.
I.H FILM ROOM; 9:07
casey walked into the room, around thirteen minutes before class started. to his surprise, yunmei was already there. she was clicking away on her laptop and seemed focused. hearing his voice, yunmei looked up and pulled her headphones down to her neck. the temperature in the classroom was cold again.
“yeah, i just didn’t get a chance to finish some work in the dorms. thought i’d be more…productive.”
she sighed and leaned back in her chair, rubbing her eyes and flashed a small smile. casey sat down next to her, pulling out his sketchbook. yunmei was clearly exhausted, and it looked like she didn’t sleep at all. looking a bit closer, casey noticed a couple indents around her mouth. did she always have dimples? either way, casey shook his head, clearing his mind to a blank slate. he began sketching on a page in his sketchbook. the sound of graphite scratching against paper brought back yun from her drained state.
“oh yeah, that reminds me.” yun began. she tugged at the buttons of the cardigan she was wearing, and slid it off. after neatly folding it she held it out to casey. “here, your sweater. i just washed it yesterday so it’s clean."
the boy tilted his head, curiosity tainting his face.
"did i tell you that you can keep it?"
now it was yunmei’s turn to be confused.
“...you sure?”
casey shrugged, pushing his hair back. he turned his head to yun and pushed the sweater back with his hand.
“yeah, it’s fine. my mom made me to buy them in bulk because she was scared I’d get cold. i got like, tons in my room.”
yunmei snickered quietly. after overhearing casey’s conversation with his mother she could imagine him being scolded.
“okay, whatever you say.”
their little fuss over the cardigan was interrupted by professor lee walking into the class. this time, he was wearing a starbucks costume.
“happy pumpkin spice latte season!”
;;
I.H LIBRARY; 7:28 P.M
tiffany: hi! Just wondering, are you free on the 29th?
yunmei: omg hi, yes i should be! Y?
tiffany: student rep is having a halloween party, and i’m volunteering with them. you’ll only have to show your student id at the doors 🫢
yunmei: hmm :| will there be food
tiffany: not as good as v’s, but yes
yunmei: okay, i guess i’ll come
tiffany: yay :DDDD bring your friends!!!
a Halloween party. parties were never yun’s thing. she always thought the music they played was like nails scratching a chalkboard, everyone’s clothing choice was rather…distasteful. whether it be that too much skin was shown, or the pattern of the fabric was absolutely atrocious. but it was university, and the classic university experience is to party sometimes. it was an added bonus that halloween is yun’s favourite holiday.
“psst, hey. what’cha thinkin’ about?”
casey peered over yuns shoulder, his chin perched on her shoulder.
yun glanced over at him and furrowed her brows. she turned off her phone.
“there’s a halloween party, and my coworker invited me,” yun whispered as she sunk further into her armchair. “but lowkey, i’m kinda scared ‘cause i only know her and she’s like, a popular girl.”
“i’ll go.”
“i didn’t even-”
casey winked at her, turning back to his work. yunmei blinked, processing the information. when the gears clicked, she nodded to herself and began typing away on her laptop.
“we’re in the same dorm, so you can just take me there.”
“you sure?”
Casey shrugged.
“i mean yeah, i’ve done nothing but study, go to class, and band practice.”
yunmei smiled.
“okay.”

Jungkook throws his head back letting out a frustrated sigh. It's taking him a while to finish his assignment which was a rare occurrence. Since he's the top of his class. Straight A's. Perfect assignments. Never late. It frustrated him that human anatomy is taking effort of him to search and write about. Stepping away from his crammed desk he decides it's better that he takes a break or else he'll miss it up.
'It's a mess already' he thinks to himself as he takes a water bottle from his fridge making his way to the couch plopping down on it before turning on the TV. Breaking news was all over the channel. Jungkook with furrowed eyebrows changes the satiation only to find the one he changed to also has breaking news flash on the screen. He flipped through the stations only to be met with the same luck as the last. he leans back into the couch turning the volume up. 'Let's hear what's going on'
'Attention citizens...umbrella laboratory reported a breakdown early this morning causing patients to have ran away. Mark burnett the CEO of umbrella cooperation warns that if you encounter any patients that you turn them in without question. For your safety. That is all.'
Great. Just what this morning needed. Psychopaths running loose. Jungkook snorted. he glances outside to see people running inside. Hiding. He shakes his head before closing the curtains. His classmates sure are weird as hell. This is a college ground no one would break in. the building was gated all around it's impossible to walk through without ID.
They love to be dramatic. Without thinking much of it jungkook laid down on his double bed. Feeling restless. He drifted off to sleep.
A few hours passed and the sun had set. Jungkook was done with his assignment and now he was looking at the night sky. The stars were twinkling. It was so quiet that if a pin dropped you could hear it. A few minutes passed then he heard what sounded like twigs being broken in half. He didn't think much of it. Probably stray cats. But he heard it again so he stood up and looked outside then saw the Bush that is facing his window move again. His eyebrows furrow questionly. The wheels in his head were turning trying to make logic out of this. As the figure that was moving in the Bush size's is bigger than a cat but smaller than a bear...could it be a human?...no no..it can't be..
Until his eyes met the figure's eyes, it's eyes widen in fear and shock tgeir pupils dilated. then it moved further inside trying to hide itself from jungkook's eyes. His curiosity got the best of him he quickly jogged towards the nearest shoes he slid them on and opened the door and ran outside. Once he reached the Bush he stopped running and walked towards it slowly. The Bush branches moved suddenly which made jungkook's heart stop for a second. He glanced around but to his luck everyone was inside. No students were wandering around like the usual. Probably because of the news. He took a deep breath and approached the Bush again. his steps were hesitant but he needed to know what was hiding in the Bush.
He sqauted down glencing around again before he cleared his throat. He felt ridiculous but it wouldn't hurt to try. "You can come out...I won't hurt you" he softly spoke to the figure. their eyes stared at his. Then they looked at his hands. Jungkook raised them up quickly. Way to quickly which made the figure flinch and move further back inside. "Hey hey... look! I have nothing in my hands" he raise them up but moved them closer to the Bush so the figure can see them. "See..." he softly says the figure moved a little bit towards him but not enough. He still couldn't see them.
Anyone would be terrified if they were in jungkook's place but for some reason he didn't feel that way. The figure was far more afraid than he was. Obviously. They're hiding in a Bush if all places. Besides jungkook won a championship for being the fastest runner if anything he'd run away if the figure tried to lung themselves at him. "It's okay...I won't hurt you" he says again 'unless you try to hurt me' but the figure only stares at him. He sighs. This is so dreadful.
Was it even understanding him? By the looks of it..probably not. He knew he was being ridiculous but why not go all the way? he decides to ask a few questions to see if it understood him. "Blink if you can understand me.." the figure stared for what felt like a minute then it blinked. Jungkook let out a hearty laugh feeling relieved but soon that feeling went away. Humans need to blink! He felt so stupid. "That's not going to work..." he sighs. He needs more than a blink to know for sure if it understood him. Then his brain sparked with an idea. He smiles "Okay let's try again...shake the branches twice if you can understand me" the figure continues to stare at him but then the Bush started to shake twice.
At that he started laughing. Feeling like he accomplished something huge. "So you can understand me?" The bush shakes twice again and jungkook smiles with relief "I'm going to ask you a few questions if the answer is yes shake the Bush twice if no shake it once...got it?" The bush shakes twice. "are you afraid?" He asked. He wanted to facepalm himself of course they're scared. The Bush shakes twice once again. "I'm not going to hurt you..so..can you come out?" The Bush shaked once. His head fell with disappointment. He wanted to know what was hiding behind the Bush so bad. Or did he lose his mind and now he's imagining all of this? Frustrated he rubbed his face. "Aren't you hungry?" The bush shakes twice. The hope ignited within jungkook. "I have food...look...that window is my room" the figure's eyes moved to where jungkook pointed "...if you come out I'll give you lots of food wouldn't you like that?" It was silent for awhile. Seems like the figure was thinking it through. Jungkook stayed put afraid of scaring it away again. The Bush shakes twice again and jungkook smiles. "I'm gonna step away so you can come out yeah?" He stood up and took a few steps back before he crouched down again. Waiting."you can come out now...see I'm far away from you..I can't hurt you.." he reassures. He hears the figure let out a sigh before they started to crawl out of the Bush. Then Jungkook's eyes widen with shock.
The figure is a girl. She looks younger than him but only by a few years. She had a small cut under her left eye. It looked fresh so he figured it was from the Bush branches. Because the same cut was all over her arms and legs. What made jungkook's blood pressure go down was seeing the torn apart gown. It was the lab's gown and he knew that because Umbrella's logo was on the collar of it. She is one of the runaway patients.
Jungkook fell backwards at the realization. He was speechless he only stared at her as she sniffled and stared back at him. She sat on her knees not knowing what to do. She started to look around her and up at the dormitory building. She looked lost and so..out of place. Seems like she never saw anything because she had this look in her eyes. She was very amused by all of this.
"Holy shit" was the only words that came out of his lips. "You're umbrella's patient" her eyes snapped towards him when he mentioned the lab. she stepped back into the Bush. Not caring that the branches were cutting her skin again. jungkook moved towards her holding her by her arms to stop her from moving further. His fingers were digging in her skin "no no...don't be scared!" She tried to shake his hands off but he was much stronger. He pulled her back out. Panicking he said "we can't stay here we have to go inside...I'm not going to hurt you I promise!" He tells her. Praying to whoever was listening that she complies.
Jungkook hated doing this. But the only way she would comply is if he scares her into going inside. "If we stay here umbrella is going to catch you! or one of the students are going to turn you in...you have to come with me" jungkook tells the poor girl who only stared at him with a horrified expression. "You can't stay here the Bush makes too much noise you'll get caught...come with me it's safer inside" he tells her again. His heart was beating uncontrollably. What he was doing is extremely dangerous. But he wasn't going to let this opportunity pass him by.
What kind of understudy scientist would let this slip?! Jungkook needed this for his application. He can't get caught. If he kept her. to study her. and figured out why umbrella hid her and many others and demands for them back so desperately they must possess something strong. Where they have to keep them in a laboratory he could be one of Umbrellas scientists. Which was his dream. His life goal. And Umbrella would do anything to keep the information Jungkook is going to find out hidden.
The poor girl stands up hestaily. Jungkook smiles and takes off his jacket helping her put it on then zipping it up for her. She stares at him questionly. She is his golden ticket to work with umbrella the least he could do is give her some answers. "You can't be seen like this, you're wearing a hospital gown they'll take you away" he tells her she looks down at herself then looks up at him. He can see and sense the fear in her eyes. But he vowed not to give her up. Not yet. Not until he was done with her.
"You'll be okay" he tells her placing his arm around her guiding her towards his dorm room.
He crossed his fingers that no one catches him. And just hopes that hiding this stray human being in his dorm is worth it.

james getting horny after hearing sirius is the only one remaining virgin among marauders and "honestly what the fuck bc padfoot is my brother I don't want to fuck padfoot I can't---"
"How old were you your first time?" Peter asked no one in particular as they drank pilfered firewhiskey.
"Sixteen," James said, feeling the stone under his fingers. The texture wasn't any different than normal, but for some reason it felt different.
"Seventeen, over the summer. I told you when it happened," Remus said, rolling his eyes.
"Well yeah, but I was asking everyone not just you, you pillock. What about you Padfoot?"
"What about me?"
"Don't be thick," Remus said, rolling his eyes again. Him getting tipsy just meant being more annoyed with them instead of amused. "The first time you had sex, how old were you?"
"I dunno."
"What do you mean you don't know?" Peter said. "You're not shagging around that much."
"I meant that I haven't had sex yet, idiot."
"What?"
James looked over sharply in disbelief. "How's that possible?"
"It's quite simple; I keep my dick in my trousers instead of fucking anyone that looks at me," he said drily.
"Do you not want to?" Remus asked.
"It's not like that, I just haven't yet. What's it fucking matter? I'll get around to it eventually."
"Yeah I suppose," Peter said. "That's still weird though. Hey do you think unicorns ever see centaurs and freak out? Cause-"
"I really doubt that," Remus said, cutting him off, and the conversation moved on. Stupid questions and more drinking, that's where the other three were at.
James was stuck on Sirius not having had sex. Sirius was the most gorgeous person ever, and that wasn't James's opinion, that was just fact like that the ceiling of the Great Hall was enchanted. If Sirius was open to it, then why did he turn people down? And James knew that people were offering, he wasn't deaf to what happened around him, hello.
Come to think of it though... had Sirius done more than kiss someone chastely? James had never seen him snogging anyone, and he didn't share any stories like the rest of them did. For some reason, that made heat spark in James's abdomen. What the fuck? He shoved the feeling down and laid off the firewhiskey. Clearly it was doing something to him.
Except the next morning when he was definitely sober, he slung an arm around Sirius's shoulders as they were walking-- an action he almost always took as they went from place to place-- and got the urge to kiss him. He frowned but didn't move his arm. Really, what the hell was happening? And it kept happening. They'd be going about their day like normal and he'd get hit with a wave of wanting, feeling the strong urge to snog Sirius senseless or push him in a broom closet and suck him off. This was not normal best mate behaviour, of that much he was sure.
This wasn't right, this wasn't normal, and he spent most of the day frowning at himself and pushing down the feelings. Maybe he just needed to wank this out.
*
Yeah okay, that didn't work. Time to come up with a Plan B.
*
The next idea he got was to hook up with someone, but that was kind of a terrible idea. Anyone he could hook up with right now, he'd have to see every day for the rest of the year, and that was not a consequence he was willing to deal with. The idea after that was just to give in. If he and Sirius had sex, surely his emotions would return to working order. And besides, who else would be a better first time for Sirius? James personally didn't care about the whole 'sex is only with someone you really care for' thing, and he certainly hadn't followed it for his first time. Sirius hadn't given an exact reason for why he hadn't shagged anyone yet, but what other reason could there be? Sirius wanted to trust whoever he was with, and who did he trust more than James? No one.
He could have done the officially mature thing and sat Sirius down and asked him about it, but that sounded embarrassing, and besides, since when did he and Sirius need to have official conversations about this sort of shit? If James kissed him and Sirius said 'mate what the hell', then he could explain. If he kissed him back, great, they could get on with business.
Remus and Peter were holed up in the library and would be for the next several hours working on their term papers for Transfiguration-- which Sirius and James had finished a month ago-- so he knew they would have privacy when he went up to the dormitory and saw Sirius sitting by himself on his bed. His legs were spread, a book open on his lap. Perfect.
James locked the door behind him with a wordless spell, then walked in between Sirius's legs, put his hands on either side of his face, leaned down, and kissed him. It was a touch awkward because Sirius hadn't been expecting it, and he pulled back automatically out of surprise. "James, what-?" His eyes darted from one of James's eyes to the other before reaching a conclusion. He tossed his book to the side and surged up, kissing James with a surprising amount of enthusiasm.
He sure as hell wasn't going to complain though, because mmm Sirius could kiss. His fingers curled into the roots of Sirius's hair, and he tugged a little, experimentally. It made Sirius's breath hitched, and James grinned. "Aw does Padfoot like having his hair played with?"
"Don't be an arsehole James, we're having a moment."
"We can always have more moments, the time to tease you is now."
"Okay but would you rather keep snogging me, or would you like to stand there and make fun of me?"
"Actually," James said, his voice dropping to a low murmur between them, "I'd prefer to spend my time doing a bit more than snogging you."
Sirius's eyes went a little wide and he swallowed thickly. "James..."
"What, you don't want to?"
"Course I want to," he answered immediately. "Just. Don't you think it's a bit fast?"
"What's fast? We've been best mates for seven years."
"Six," Sirius corrected.
"Whatever, six years then," he agreed easily. "I don't think anything about this could be considered 'fast'." He kissed Sirius again, taking his time learning the way Sirius's lips moved against his own.
Sirius's hands moved to James's hips, pulling him closer and making him tilt his head higher to keep the kiss going. His hands twitched, and then a minute later he was sliding them lower and around, palming James's arse and squeezing.
James jerked a little because okay, he hadn't expected Sirius to be this into it, but he wasn't complaining. Having an active partner meant they were both going to have more fun.
"Er, the door," Sirius said worriedly, but James shook his head.
"Already locked it, mate." His eyes trailed over Sirius's body. "You wanna lay down?"
Sirius flushed, the red in his cheeks glaringly obvious because of how little he blushed. It went to James's head, making him proud for how much he'd effected Sirius without even touching his prick. Sirius tugged on the bottom of his jumper to hide his erection a little better, but that was stupid so James leaned down and gently pulled his hands away.
"You really think I'm afraid that you're hard? I am too," he pointed out, and Sirius's blush deepened.
"Well," Sirius swallowed, "yeah, but it's a bit weird, innit? We've been friends for so long and now... it's kind of a big deal, don't you think?"
"Not really," James said honestly. "It's just us. It's always been us." His fingers automatically tucked Sirius's hair behind his ear, the waves going neatly behind like they always did.
"Right," Sirius said with a laugh. "Course you're right." He looked up at James warmly, his smile deep and heartfelt, not like the grins he got at a prank gone right, but more like that time they'd made the Map or become Animagi. "Just a bit nervous."
James knelt in front of him, realising that looming above him probably wasn't helping with his nerves. It was his first time after all, and James had been nervous about his own even when it didn't mean as much to him as this did to Sirius. "Nothing to be nervous about Pads. It's just me."
"'Just' you," Sirius snorted.
"Yep," James said, not really getting the emphasis Sirius had used. "So when I do this," he said, hand moving forward to cup Sirius through his trousers, making him gasp, "you know that I'm going to make you feel good."
"James," he whimpered, and James leaned forward to kiss him, swallowing up the little moans Sirius made as he moved his hand, massaging his friend's cock.
"Lay down," he murmured between kisses, forgetting for a moment that he would have to move forward if he wanted to stay within snogging distance.
Sirius was less ashamed this time as James looked at him, still flushed but not from embarrassment this time. "Can you take off your glasses? They keep poking me."
"Right, sorry." James took them off and set them on Sirius's nightstand, ruffling his hair absently. He wanted to get Sirius naked, Merlin knows how fucking gorgeous he was, but it would be a bit weird to ask that of him, right? James climbed on top of him and they started snogging again.
He shifted so that his thigh was against Sirius's cock, pressing up so that Sirius had something to rock against. Sirius gasped, panting into James's mouth for a minute as he got used to the sensation. His hands went back to James's arse, urging him to rub himself off on Sirius's leg like he was doing to James, and James gave in with a mental shrug. If Sirius wanted to get him off, he wasn't going to say no. Fuck that felt good. He curled his fingers into Sirius's hair again and pulled him close, kissing him in a way that was all lust and tongue and nothing nice like what they'd been doing earlier.
Sirius started humping his leg frantically, clearly close to coming. "James," he whined, high in his throat, and a few thrusts later he came. It was a little intimate to be saying his name before coming, but maybe that was what helped Sirius get off-- to each his own. James came a minute later, while Sirius was still trying to catch his breath.
James grabbed his wand and spelled them both clean, then set his wand on the bed. It rolled down, tucking itself between Sirius and the duvet. James grabbed it and set it a little further away, but the bed was too squishy and it rolled down again. He picked it up and tossed it across the room with a clatter. He hummed in satisfaction, snuggling closer and wrapping an arm around Sirius like he was a stuffie. "Good first time?"
Sirius laughed. "Yeah it was alright."
"Only alright? Padfoot, you fucking liar."
He laughed some more, but Sirius laughed a lot on any given day.
"Ugh I forgot to unlock the door."
Sirius grabbed his wand, which he'd wisely put on his bedside table, and waved it at the door, making the lock snick as it came undone. He set his wand down then pet his hand through James's hair, which felt very nice. "You're such a prat," he said fondly.
"Not sure what I did in the last five minutes to deserve this kind of name calling."
"You threw your wand across the room, you tosser."
James lifted his head enough to glare at Sirius. Once he saw it, James dropped his head back to the bed. "Well I don't need it, do I. I've got you."
"Yeah," Sirius said smugly, "you've got me."
*
They slept in the same bed, but they did that often enough that no one thought anything about it. James had to get up early, which was a pain, but he'd known it was coming and he wasn't near as miserable getting out of bed early as Sirius was, so thank Merlin for small favours.
He did wake Sirius up a bit when he was getting of bed though. "Wha's?" Sirius slurred, leaning up a little.
"Go back to sleep Si," James whispered, quiet so that he wouldn't wake up Remus or Peter. "Me and Lily have to meet with the Heads of the Houses, remember?"
Sirius nodded absently, yawning wide enough that it looked like his jaw was going to fall off. "M'kay."
The meeting was boring and he had to act all respectable even though every single person in the room knew that he wasn't. The meeting was also pointless, which sucked. He'd gotten out of a nice, warm bed to trudge around the cold corridors as arse o'clock in the morning, then sit all by himself in the Great Hall for twenty minutes during breakfast as the rest of the Marauders roused themselves.
Sirius plopped by his side-- not unusual-- grinning widely-- which was unusual; Sirius was never this happy so early in the morning.
James turned to face him, ready to ask why he was so happy, and got a kiss right on the mouth.
"Morning," Sirius said to him, all warm and cheerful and not at all like he'd just done something weird.
James was taken aback, and it showed clearly on his face, making Sirius's happy expression turn to a concerned frown.
"You okay?"
"You just kissed me."
"Yeah?"
"Why?"
Sirius blinked, looking even more concerned. "Last night, don't you remember?"
"Yeah I remember, but what does that have to do with you kissing me?"
"We got together. Are you sure you're feeling alright? Maybe we should go to the Hospital Wing."
"We didn't get together," James said, confused.
"Okay we definitely need to go to the Hospital Wing if you're missing memories."
Sirius started to stand, and James put a hand on his arm to stop him.
"I'm not missing any memories Padfoot, sit down."
Sirius did sit down, but it was clear he didn't believe James about the state of his memory. "Okay then what do you think happened last night?"
"Er we had sex? Talked a bit then fell asleep?"
Sirius blinked again, frowning. "If you remember, then why...?" All the breath left him at once, and he looked at James like he didn't know him. "It was just sex for you."
"It was just sex for both of us, Pads. I figured you would want your first time to be with someone you trusted, and who better than me?"
"It wasn't-!" Sirius started to say, then stopped. The way he'd been talking meant that he would have yelled the entire thing, and he didn't want to shout at James about something so personal in front of everyone in the school. He glanced around to see if anyone was paying attention to them, but the Great Hall was loud enough now that nobody noticed. He swallowed hard, his grey eyes filling with tears as his adam's apple bobbed. "The next time you want a quick shag," he said thickly, "try looking further than your best friend." He grabbed his bag and stormed off without eating a bite.
James frowned, watching him go. What was Sirius thinking? If he went to lessons without eating, he was going to be grumpy all day. Maybe he'd woken up on the wrong side of the bed anyways, weird as he'd been acting. He grabbed some oatmeal and put a stasis charm on it, then gave it to Sirius when he walked into Potions.
It took him until ten minutes before the end of the class to realise why Sirius was upset. Sirius fancied him. His brain tried to deny it automatically, because honestly, how could that be true? But all the evidence was there. The way he'd been so emotional about everything, not to mention the kiss at breakfast, and now that James thought about it, there was a lot of evidence to suggest that Sirius not only fancied him, but had been pining for years. Glances and flirting that James had written off as banter, and that one time Sirius had had a wet dream when they were sharing a bed and he'd said James's name. At the time, James had thought that was because dream-Sirius was having to kick James out, but it made a lot more sense that James had been the object of affection there, not a hindrance.
He thought about it a little more, then realised that not only did Sirius fancy him, but he fancied Sirius in return! Apparently all of his appreciation for how gorgeous and wonderful Sirius was, was less than platonic. This was ridiculous, how could he fancy his best mate? More times than he could count, he'd called them brothers. Sirius had made a face each and every time, causing James to taper off. He'd always thought it was because Sirius had such a poor relationship with his actual brother, but if Sirius fancied him, it made a bit more sense. Merlin and Morgana could he be any more blind? The answer was of course yes, so he ignored that and grabbed Sirius's arm as the class ended, dragging him out of the way of the rest of the students so they could talk privately. "You fancy me," James said.
Sirius wrenched his arm out of James's grip, shifting his weight uncomfortably. "Thanks James, embarrass me more. Was breakfast not enough for you? Fuck that, was last night not enough? You were horny and I bloody threw myself at you like an idiot. It was stupid, just leave me alone."
"No, I'm not embarrassing you- I, this is- I fancy you too."
Instead of Sirius's face lighting up like James had hoped, his shoulders slumped. "Don't do this," he begged.
Begged. Sirius doesn't beg, and James was, once again, completely confused as to why this was happening. "Don't do what?"
"Lie to me. You know I fancy you-- because apparently you didn't before-- and now you're trying to save our friendship by pretending you feel the same way. Well don't. I don't want your buggering pity, and I'm not so pathetic that I'll take advantage." He blinked quickly, keeping tears away. "Just leave it."
"I'm not pretending anything, Si."
Sirius snorted. "Right. You just so happened to have this revelation right as you realised I was upset enough to need some space from you."
"Well it sounds bad when you say it like that."
"Say it in a way that doesn't sound bad James. You can't."
"I- well it does sound bad, but would you believe that I'm an idiot?"
"Easily, but you're not in love with me. You've never thought of me as anything other than your best mate."
"Not until recently, no."
"Recently like me kissing you and getting upset when you told me we weren't together?" Sirius asked, looking into James's eyes. "That recently?"
"I hadn't thought about it before," he said, and Sirius could see the honesty in the statement. "But Si, I really do care about you. I think... dating you could be fun. We'd be so happy together!"
Sirius just looked at him. "I can't believe you convinced yourself that you fancy me," he said faintly. "This is the most fucked up day I've had in a while." He shook his head, walking away.
James frowned after him. That was definitely not the getting together that he'd imagined for them. He'd thought that he'd explain, and then Sirius would be happy and smiling again. This was, in a phrase, fucked up. If he wanted Sirius to know that he was being sincere, he was going to have to up his game. He nodded to himself then set off, not considering for a moment that, as Head Boy, he really shouldn't be skiving off his classes anymore.
*
Sirius saw his bed, froze, then frowned. He looked over at James. "What the fuck mate?"
"You thought I wasn't serious about you," he said, hands on his hips.
"And covering my bed with flower bouquets is supposed to convince me?"
"Yes, but I'm gathering from your tone that it's not having the desired effect." James blew out a breath, running a hand through his hair. "Bugger. I asked the flower shop lady what she thought romantic shit was, but everything she said we already do together, so this just," he shrugged helplessly. "I'll figure something out, just give me a minute."
Sirius blinked, watching as James went to his trunk and pulled out a Witch Weekly magazine and scanned an article.
"Tell him how special he is," he mumbled to himself. "No that won't work. Surprise him at work, well we don't work, we're still in school. And besides, how would I ever surprise you? Ridiculous. Picnic, no we do that already. That's a sex thing, no... Hmm." He looked up at Sirius, frowning. "This is not near as helpful as I was hoping it would be." He flipped to the next page, brow creased as he searched.
"You're not joking," Sirius said.
"Of course not, this is the most obvious bull, even Remus could come up with it."
Sirius ignored that James didn't know what he was talking about. It didn't seem like James was doing the sacrificing best friend thing. This was far too much trouble to go to when all he would have had to do was wait two days for Sirius to pretend everything was okay. "James?"
"Hm?" he said, looking up innocently.
"Ask me on a date."
James smiled slowly, setting the magazine down. "Sirius, would you go on a date with me? I know we can't leave the castle without getting in trouble, but fuck that we almost never get caught and there's a Muggle pub I think you'll like. They have lots of those motorbikes, you know," he said, nodding along like he was imparting wisdom. "And if they kick us out we can get dinner and maybe split a milkshake and kiss afterwards and be very cute."
Sirius was grinning by the time James stopped talking. "Sounds great. But James? If you ever jerk me around like this again, I'm gonna fucking kill you."
"Trust me, I won't be this much of an idiot with you again, it was bad for my digestion."
“Your digestion? That’s what you’re going with?”
“Unless you have a better suggestion?”
“Nope.”
“Then yes, that’s what I’m going with.”
