06. the ancient art of ninja hide and seek, where raph spends almost the entire mission taking “stick to the shadows” as literally and face-value as turtle-ly possible and thinks he is absolutely nailing it.

07. snow day, (or lbr any other time he interacts w ghost bear) just. so so so excited about his favorite wrestler... very much having that override the fact that ghost bear is clearly not about this

08. raph’s ridealong, goes through the entire process of getting mistaken for a criminal, freaking out a whole police station, getting apprehended and thrown into the back of the wagon, without clocking any of that energy (bc he is so excited to do a cool activity related to his extreme interest in crimefighting/justice)

and like thats just the stuff i found idly browsing through caps i bet theres a ton of other examples on the social front alone, let alone stuff like stims, special interests, behavior patterns, etc.

Angel has a slender build and is the tallest of the main cast of characters. He is estimated to stand around 8 feet with his heels on.

His fur is white and he has a mop of fluffy white hair that extends from both the front and back of his head, with splotches of light-pink across it. He also has a distinctive and focal light-pink heart pattern on the back of his head. The light-pink outline of a heart also encircles his chest, the bottom point of which extends past his waistband and down to his crotch area.

His eyelids are light pink and the color extends up to his eyebrows, giving the effect of eyeshadow, and his lashes are dark and thick.

His irises are cerise pink. His right eye has a light yellow sclera, his left eye has a dark sclera. He has a wide mouth full of sharp, pointed teeth and possesses a single golden fang that sits slightly to his right of center, a feature he shares with his boss, Valentino. He has three cerise-pink dots under each of his eyes, which are intended to evoke freckles, although they are actually another set of smaller eyes.

One of Angel's most noticeable features is his prominent chest. The chest is actually composed entirely of fluffy fur, however, which Angel intentionally pushes up into a breast-like formation with his tightly pinned jacket for show.

Angel's everyday attire consists of a long light pink suit-blazer with horizontal white stripes down the length, reddish-grey miniskirt, and long reddish-grey thigh-high heeled boots, accessorized with a reddish-grey bowtie with a cerise pink center and a black choker. • During the gang war with Sir Pentious, when Angel's shadow is cast behind him, it appears much larger than him, with six arms and glowing red eyes. This implies that Angel can possibly transform into a larger form like other sinner demons.

Very preliminary and speculatory writing of Midnights timeline

Disclaimer: All the exact dates are based on tracking Taylor's private jets, which is a controversial activity (to say the least). Those are sourced from @youareinlovees' detailed masterposts.

Aaron Dessner confirmed that High Infidelity and Would've, Could've, Should've were written and recorded during Grammys week in March 2021. Since Taylor was in LA between March 7th and March 15th only, we can safely assume that those songs were written within that period.

The Great War and Hits Different were probably written before Jack Antonoff became the main co-writer of Midnights, because (according to Dessner in the podcast above) that signified a change in concept, but they probably also weren't written in March 2021 since Dessner mentioned them separately.

According to Taylor, most Taylor/Antonoff co-writes were written in New York, when JA and Jack's fiance were filming in Panama. This means they were written between November 22nd, when Taylor flew back from Panama to New York, and December 16th, when Taylor flew to Panama.

According to Rolling Stone, Lavender Haze and Glitch came out of a session where Jack Antonoff, Sounwave, Sam Dew and Zoe Kravitz worked on Zoe's debut album. This was before Jack started working on Midnights (so before November 2021), but also Jack only sent those tracks (demos?) a few months later, which might put the date around late 2021/early 2022.

Also in the same article, Karma was a "last-minute Hail Mary"-- wouldn't be surprised if it was the last song to be written on the album.

Sweet Nothing mentions a trip to Ireland "last July", i.e. July 2021, which probably implies the song was written in 2022. Additionally, on 19 April 2022, JA did an interview where he mentioned he didn't intend to write any more songs under a pseudonym, which either means 1. he signed an NDA or 2. he had already written Sweet Nothing at this point. For wishful thinking purposes I will assume the latter.

Snow On The Beach, which was co-written with Lana Del Rey, was finished by 4 April 2022, as on that day Lana posted this photo on her Instagram, a colourized version of which was later included in this Instagram post.

Now on to the solo writes: Vigilante Shit is a mystery. It mentions Scooter Braun's ex-wife so that puts it after July 2021, but that's it. Maybe she saw the news of Scooter getting a divorce and cackled manically? (also I don't think the FBI line points to anything concrete-- more of a revenge fantasy than anything IMO)

Bigger Than The Whole Sky is also a mystery, but if you believe that it's about Claire Winter then that would place it after March 2022.

You're Losing Me... um... I really don't know? I think there is a possibility it was written along with most of Midnights in that Nov-Dec 2021 session, especially since JA was in a different country then, but it also could have literally been written last month and we would be none the wiser. Here I'm going to give Taylor the benefit of the doubt. Also Hits Different is a breakup anthem but we don't talk about that...

Midnights was most likely finished by May at the latest, when she quoted a lyric from Labyrinth in her NYU speech and may or may not have teased the name of the album in this Instagram post.

The English poet William Wordsworth was born on April 7th 1770.

While he may be remembered as a quintessential English bard he did have his good points and holidayed in Scotland. His sister Dorothy wrote Recollections of a Tour Made in Scotland, A. D. 1803 about their six-week, 663-mile journey through the Scottish Highlands. Some have called it "undoubtedly her masterpiece" and one of the best Scottish travel literature accounts during a period in the late 18th and early 19th centuries which saw hundreds of such examples. It is often compared as the Romantic counterpart to the better-known Enlightenment-era travel memoirs of Samuel Johnson with his friend James Boswell.

Anyway back to the birthday boy! Here is a poem he wrote while touring our country.....

Where we are with AI, in March of 2024

We’ve seen the development of photo and video manipulation, from the earliest days of Photoshop up to now. This year, though, things are reaching the level we’ve all been concerned about – we can’t tell if important things we see are real. Soon, not even the experts will be able to tell, and anyone will easily be able to make any fake video they want.

Look at this image. Does it look real? Give the article a read.

When I first glanced at it, I didn’t even notice he had shirt sleeves and no shirt! Because I was focusing on his face and the smoke. That article explains some of the best ways to tell a photo is AI. But most notably, it says, “There are so many obvious signs this is AI, but most would miss them because they’re not part of the focus of the image, and since this is not a case where you think someone would be tricking you, you have no reason to analyze it that closely.”

A colleague who works on visual effects for movies shared this video created by OpenAI Sora.

He explained, “I work in visual effects. It is my job to make the audience fooled by what they are seeing. Those of us in the industry tend to see a lot of flaws that most people miss. We will soon be at a point where I won't be able to see the flaws.”

Puppies playing in snow is fun, and I’m sure many people look forward to infinite adorable animal videos! But of course, that’s not why you’re reading this. This is about AI videos of any person, place, or thing that your average grade-schooler will potentially be able to create. Month by month the software will get better and easier and cheaper, and AI photos have already started appearing ahead of the election, and supporters on both sides of any politician will be using them.

Could you tell that the two photos are fake? As a video editor, I could. But the first one was harder; I had to look for clues like the McDonalds smoking man photo. The worst part of these photos is what the person who created them said in defense:

“I’m not claiming it is accurate. I’m not saying, ‘Hey, look, Donald Trump was at this party with all of these African American voters. Look how much they love him!’ If anybody’s voting one way or another because of one photo they see on a Facebook page, that’s a problem with that person, not with the post itself.”

It’s bad enough that they didn’t care people were sharing those photos under the impression they were real. It will be worse when people are using this software to purposefully manipulate people’s beliefs and feelings to sway their vote, or worse, to fuel outrage and despair.

So, you know how you’ll go online on April Fool’s Day and your brain will be on ‘suspicious’ mode? Have you heard stories of real things that people didn’t believe because they happened on April 1st? From now on, that is how you need to calibrate your brain for important images and videos.

If a familiar face says something notable, out of character, or outrageous, if you didn’t learn about it from a reliable news source and you plan to tuck it away in your brain’s section of “things I believe,” you will first need to verify it. Viral photos and videos on Twitter and YouTube aren’t reliable, and you’re better off only getting your news directly from trustworthy sources like news channels. If you find something and want to verify it, use your search engine and key words, especially for strange, suspicious, or implausible quotes, and find a news website you can rely on. If it’s gone viral and it’s AI, it’s likely that the top results will be news websites debunking it.

Starting now, remember: Suspicious and outrageous things are false until proven true.

To sum up, here’s the News Literacy Project’s guide for vetting news sources:

Do a quick search: Conducting a simple search for information about a news source is a key first step in evaluating its credibility.

Look for standards: Reputable news organizations aspire to ethical guidelines and standards, including fairness, accuracy, and independence.

Check for transparency: Quality news sources should be transparent, not only about their reporting practices, but also about their ownership and funding.

Examine how errors are handled: Credible news sources are accountable for mistakes and correct them. Do you see evidence that this source corrects or clarifies errors?

Assess news coverage: An important step in vetting sources is taking time to read and assess several news articles from them, not just the one you clicked on.

Also, look for clues that you should avoid a website. They include:

False or untrue content

Clickbait tactics (melodramatic headlines)

Lack of balance (feels like it was written by a person who took a side)

Manipulated images or videos

State-run or state-sponsored propaganda

Dangerous, offensive, and malicious content

it’s me. a hate anon. i’m being incredibly annoying about my take on fictional characters.

anyways who is a*am or whatever i want all the tea

lol oh buddy you have no idea. its been so many years of bullshit and, granted, its been a while since ive been in the trenches, but i have ALL the tea to spill. okay, so,

Sk8 the Infinity was a shounen sports anime that aired in early 2021, January to April. It followed the protagonist Reki Kyan, a 3rd-year in high school who was a skater. But this isn't just an anime about skateboarding. The grand majority of the skating took place at "S", an illegal skating course in an abandoned mine. The important races are "beefs", and there are no rules to beefs; you can injure your opponent in any way, and there's no consequences.

Some other relevant characters are: Langa Hasegawa, nicknamed SNOW, the deuteragonist; Ainosuke Shindo, ADAM, the antagonist; Tadashi Kikuchi, supporting character. Not sure whether to place him as an antagonist or protag, he kinda straddles the line.

The thing about ADAM is that he's the subversion of an all-too well known anime trope: Pedophile villain. See, while he does not in fact have those feelings towards minors in the show, he. Is very complicated. He has a whole thing where he thinks love is a good thing but also pain, because his aunts beat him and said it was because they love him and he believed them. He's also still grappling with the trauma of being "betrayed" by his childhood friend, Tadashi.

He's trying to find the EVE to his ADAM, because he hurts from being betrayed by the person he cares for most, but in reality, what he really wants is Tadashi back. But he's confused, and thinks that wanting to hurt someone means loving them. So he doesn't know what love feels like. If he thinks he "loves" himself, he hates himself and wants to hurt himself. Which. He kinda does try to kill himself sort of in the finale. It's a whole thing.

(Notice how I put "betrayed" in quotes. If you read scum villain, its a similar situation as with QiJiu. One party wanted to protect the other and failed, so they stay silent and do all they can for that person out of guilt. The other thinks the other really did betray them, and is hurt that that person is so much colder now, that the other person doesnt love them anymore.)

So, anyways. Adam is confused about what love is, and his arc in the first season was learning to not "love" people the way he does, and to accept care, even if he doesn't know it's love. When he reconciled with Tadashi in the final episode, he said "You'll be my dog for the rest of our lives", and I and everyone else in the Tadaai fandom understood he said that because 1. kinky fuckers lol 2. more relevantly, saying he loves Tadashi would be a red flag, because his definition of love is completely warped. Regardless of how he said it, the "be mine forever" was the important part. And Tadashi understood.

But most of what I'm referencing happened in the later episodes. Like I said, he was a subversion, which means that first he had to be slotted into the role before undoing it. Now I bring up The Langa Thing.

Langa was half-Canadian, and grew up in Canada. But when his father died, his mother took him back to Japan so she would have family around her in her grief. He ended up in Reki's class, and the two quickly became friends.

Reki taught Langa how to skate, but because Langa snowboarded since he was 2, he picked it up rather quickly, and even showed extreme talent. This extreme talent caught the eye of most of the skaters at S, and he earned the moniker "Snow". It also made the founder of S notice him. And that founder is Ainosuke Shindo, Adam.

Remember how I said he's trying to find his EVE? He thinks he wants an equal in skating, his only escape from his suffocating life, but he really wants Tadashi back. But he sees this genius in skating, and really is excited to skate with someone new. But he doesn't recognize it for just that, he thinks he found his "Eve". There's plenty of things he does, calling Langa "Langa-kun", being very excited to skate with Langa, giving him a bouquet of roses at one point (though one would argue that it's perfectly in line with his dramatics, hes essentially a drag king whose show is skateboarding).

All in all, there's a lot of suggestions he's attracted to Langa, but later episodes disprove that. There were other sketchy things (him saying to a middle schooler "I'll love you when you're older", but this was in reference to skateboarding, and by his definition of love, he means "yea you're too young for me to beat the crap out of you kid". Which is a perfectly normal sentiment, he just has an extremely weird way of saying it.) But... here's the thing.

There were weekly episodes.

Meaning: People pegged him as a "pedophile anime villain" type for months before his true nature was revealed. And when that evidence showed, people weren't inclined to believe it. People also thought he was Tadashi's abuser before the true nature of their relationship was revealed.

So, Adam isn't a pedophile. His relationship with Tadashi is rough, but Tadashi has full autonomy and chooses to be a part of it, and they're getting better. Adam is weird, sure, but he has reason to be that way. But the fandom lacks reading comprehension and hates to be proven wrong. So, people still think of him as a pedophilic abuser.

And like. I harken from ye olden days of Black Butler, okay. I'm not exactly put off by edenshippers (adam x langa). But for gods sake the show disproved it. Why are y'all acting like this.

So. Being known as an Adam fan is a one-way ticket to getting a bunch of harassment. Was back then, apparently still is now. I can't wait for season 2 to prove these assholes wrong.

And when Cassandra was discouraged bc she didn’t finish the mission, Foot Lieutenant said “Do not be discouraged! The road to success is paved with miles of failure.” -this quote legit gave me goosebumps when I first heard it

And Insane in the Mama Train:

When April asked either of them questions, they answered patiently and explained things instead of doing the usual evil guy Shtick and telling her to shut up

Year in Review

January

Fiona's first appearance. She had been patiently waiting in my Sims-bin since 2020. Thank you again for sending her @descendantdragfi !

February

Girl reading a letter by the open window. Recreating artworks with Sims is so fun! I should do it more often. Of course I used the most recent version of this iconic painting.

March

Deaths and births. March was packed with emotional moments in my story. Fergus and Fiona wishing for a baby, Fergus dying and then Matt's birth.

April

April's fool's joke. No, I still haven't installed reshade. :P

May

McCarric Scenes Flashback. It was fun to shoot with Graham again!

June

Roseanne in a custom tailored dress.

July

Cows and Foxes Sweater. I deeply enjoy mapping projects. It's so satisfactory to create order from chaos. It also proved to be a very popular download.

August

Andrew and Matt connecting over pulled teeth. To quote @nornities : Torture resulted in something good. Couldn't have put it any better.

September

The Mute Child. Then, to get a break from the McCarrics, I did something completely different. Well, a bit different. This being an adaptation of literature really pushed me to make it technically as neat as I could.

October

Fiona and Andrew mistaken for husband and wife. This was a nice little moment that amused me. While Fiona sees herself and Ysobel as Matt's parents, by law it's herself and Andrew. They've come to work together well, but they're very far from from having romantic feelings about it.

November

Jonathan and Nicolas. This was the final important piece of information about this generation, before their drama can really unfold. It's still noticeable that I originally planned a timeskip between the 1750s and the 1780s. I'm really glad that pace is going to slow down again and I'll get to spend more time with the characters.

December

Snow White. Traditionally, December is Christmas Special time. I've been intrigued by the reading of Snow-White for a while, showing her as a child among children, rather than a Princess in a Dwarfs' Dollhouse. Although I started preparing super early, this is the first year the story had to be put on halt.

Tabloid Ilta-Sanomat broke the news on Thursday evening that the Finnish government has set some legislative wheels in motion on a "drastic" new border law.

The newspaper reports that Interior Minister Mari Rantanen (Finns) has tasked a working group with drafting a new law under the headline 'Countering the Instrumentalization of Immigration and Strengthening Border Security'.

Although the exact details of the draft bill are still to be hammered out, IS quotes a 'key source' as saying that, if passed into law, the measure could see asylum seekers refused entry into Finland at the border checkpoint and ordered to return to Russia.

"It is quite clear that we are now talking about things that are in very strong conflict with the international agreements to which Finland is committed," the source tells IS.

Rantanen has set the working group a deadline of March to present the draft bill, with IS further noting that the government plans to keep the border with Russia closed beyond the current deadline of April.

"We don't sell to Romani people"

Helsingin Sanomat reports on an incident of suspected discrimination at a K-Market store in Kontiolahti, a small town in the east of Finland.

Tamara Nyman, a member of Finland's Roma community, tried to buy an energy drink, but was prevented from doing so by a cashier at the store.

In a video of the incident, the worker can be heard telling Nyman that the retailer has a policy of not selling to Romani people, adding that she has been "told this before".

"It was shocking and really humiliating," Nyman told HS.

A spokesperson for the nationwide chain of K-Market outlets, owned by the retail giant Kesko, said that the group is taking the incident seriously and does not accept discrimination in any form.

"We don't have a full picture of what happened yet, because the matter is still being investigated," Teemu Naumanen said.

Flood warning

Iltalehti writes that there is a flood warning in place in three regions of southern and southeastern Finland.

The combination of heavy rain and melting snow can lead to flash floods in some areas, IL notes, especially if drains become clogged.

There is also a warning for pedestrians in southern and central parts of the country: pavements on Friday will be very slippery because of the water on ice covered surfaces.

The outlook for Friday suggests rain showers for the south and west, while sleet and snow is set to fall in the east and north. Temperatures across the country during the day will hover around zero degrees Celsius, according to IL.

Finally! It's here! :D

I don't really think Chris Pine is miscast. Some teenage boys have very deep voices.

I like that they see Elsa as ace because I feel the same about her. I don't mind the Jelsa shipping since they share many experiences, not just they can make snow. Though, I usually see them as best friends or having a sibling relationship.

I once was sure of my identity until this late April. I almost lost my sense of identity when I discovered that my entire 24 years of my life is set up by my narcissistic family and I end up questioning and hating my path. Since then, life has been more downs than ups, but I keep going. I am slowly trying to rebuild and reshape my identity.

I know that I love to make people laugh - I say funny jokes, share funny memes and act in exaggerated ways (I even create this incorrect quotes blog!). I do find it easy to be amused. I also love to express my feelings and thoughts - either through singing, writing or designing. I throw all my emotions, be it positive or negative into creative work, and so long as I am determined, I end up creating a lot impressive stuff. The problem is that I lack patience, I lack the determination to stick to the plan, and I can get too emotional that I end up destroying my creations and hurting people. I also love to analyze the things I am interested in, mostly character psychology and interesting cases, but I don't think that I can be a good therapist or a good lawyer.

I am 24 and I don't know where I am going. My future is uncertain and I am mostly uncertain of who I truly can be. I have not found my full potential - just a scramble of various talents. I just feel that my center is Knowledge but I am not entirely sure about it and what should I do with it. I just have to keep going to find myself.

A fell asleep on public transport. B is sitting right next to them, and as they see the next stop coming up, they wake A up to ask if it’s their stop. (bonus points if B caught glimpses of them while they slept, adoring how peaceful they looked!)

A lost something in public and is freaking out. that is, until B found what A was looking for, and asks if it’s theirs.

it’s raining/snowing and B noticed A is without proper clothing/equipment, like an umbrella or a jacket. so what does B do? they ask if A wants their only jacket/asks A if they want to share an umbrella.

A and B get paired up for a boring project, but together they make it fun!

the classic “the parents dragged A and B to a boring party and they become friends.”

B gets something tasty looking from a restaurant/cafe/etc. and, despite A being shy or nervous, they ask what it is.

A wants the last of something (ex. a donut or bag) but they and B grab it simultaneously. now they stare at each other for a little too long before B frantically says, “you can have it!” and then they go back and forth insisting the other can have it. (bonus points if their hands touch!)

A and B are sitting next to each other on a long flight. despite them going to the same place, it’s for completely different reasons. A is going for a funeral, and B is going for a friend’s wedding. out of nowhere, A starts crying, and though it’s hardly audible, B notices and starts comforting A immediately. by the end of the flight, they both have each other’s numbers!

no one said these had to be realistic, right? perfect. A is out in public and sees a familiar figure. the thing is, A is mistaking B, a stranger A has never saw until now, for their best friend. A quickens their walking to catch up with their “best friend.” when they eventually do, they scare them from the back, but when B turns around, A’s smile falls. A expects B to get reasonably upset, but instead, B laughs. a strong friendship (maybe even a romantic relationship?) ensues.

again, might be unrealistic yet adorable! A finds a cat/dog on the street, but they don’t have a collar, so A starts treating them as their own. that is until B starts knocking on people’s doors, describing the pet and asking if anyone has seen them. when B gets to A’s door, A immediately knows they have that exact pet. depending on who you portray A to be, they may consider lying and saying they don’t have it, but in the end, they end up giving the pet back. the pet, however, is very attached to A, and tries to stay. B notices this and tells A that they can keep the pet, just as long as they stay in contact so B can visit it whenever! a strong relationship between A and B ensues :)
