jane eyre adaptations ranked from the hottest to least sexy??? WINKWINK
— 2006; HORNY they’re HORNY, your honor! (almost an ideal JE adaptation generally (and definitely the hottest one))
— 1973; both leads are questionably suited for their parts but the chemistry??? ILLEGAL. (also it has the sexiest st john ever!! repressed and inflamed!!!)
— 1983; im such a slut for height difference, sorry not sorry.
— 1943; it’s very loosely based on JE but the YEARNING is there nonetheless!
— 2011; love making but make it cinematic
— 1997; samantha morton tries her best and at least it’s not boring… i guess????
— 1996; …. nothing sexy about it except for ten seconds of amanda root (and the very best adele!)
i haven’t seen the 1934s, the 1952s hindi one and the 1970s tho (and of course those that are unavailable to stream!)

a word of advice to those who like to text during theater performances:
yes, we can see your screen even though the brightness is all the way down. yes, we can still see your screen even though it’s on dark mode. but never fear! there is another measure you can take! simply open settings, scroll down to “accessibility”, and click on “display and text size.” from there, turn on “reduce white point” and decrease the bright parts of your screen to 100%. then, turn your phone so the screen is facing left, hit the off button in front of you, lift yourself out of your seat, shove your phone up your ass, and leave the theater. nobody likes you. hope this helps!! <3

hmm i think another thing i like abt kencen is chess should be played on a smaller stage. now i am an intimate staging truther for almost every play so i may be biased but that doesn't make it less true for chess. like i get the appeal of the big sets bc of the way they travel thru location and our initial reaction upon literally visualizing chess on a stage, but i think it makes it so easy for characters to get swallowed and for the stage to feel very empty. which may work like. conceptually but i think in practice it just limits the actor's effect. & i know that you can argue that chess is a show that needs to get by partially on spectacle bc of the quality of the book but i disagree just choose a good book. or make up for it w staging and strong character choices. it's not like it has a shallow plot bc it really doesn't it just doesn't have a well resolved one. which is actually another argument for it to be in an intimate space bc it will make the audience feel more personally invested in the characters rather than the story and will care what happens to them even if they leave with questions (does this distinction make sense?). i'm also not saying that chess Couldn't be done well on a big stage i just think most of the time it isn't

@emmacornell bro I fucking love the armored squadron. Weird guys my beloved 💛. I wanna get more of those acrylic stands but damn is it hard to get the ones I want.
Tumblr media
I also have these guys! I will not be disclosing how long I spent trying to get Naize out of the gachapon machine.
They make those keychains for Salza and the Ginyus, idk about Dore tho. I have Guldo, Ginyu, and Burter tied onto one of my bags.

recs for all your transmasculine singer needs!
(tbh i just wanted to make a new list for myself bc songs i always loved to sing suddenly became filled with "she" and "her" and "girl" but my tastes are still the same)
Disney "I Want" songs sung by guys:
"Go The Distance"
the final part of "Out There" (bonus: "taste a morning out there like ordinary men")
"Lost In The Woods" (bonus: "who am i if i'm not your guy")
"Everything Is Honey"
("Into The Unknown" was technically performed by Panic! At The Disco as well)
Also good Disney songs without female vibes, positive edition:
"I'm Just A Little Black Raincloud" (the true transgender agenda)
"Be A Man"
"Reflection" (very transgender but beware of "a perfect bride or a perfect daughter")
"Under The Sea"
"Friend Like Me"
"Reindeers Are Better Than People"
"Bare Necessities"
Fabulous Disney songs in case you don't mind villains:
"Shiny"
"Be Prepared" (bonus: "I will be king")
"Gaston" (pretty sure it's someone's transition goals)
My Little Pony songs because I can and I will:
"The Flim Flam Brothers"
"Glass Of Water"
"I'm The Friend You Need"
"Evil Enchantress" reprise
(I personally enjoy singing AJ's songs too ("Raise This Barn", "Five To Nine", "The Seeds Of The Past") as they are obviosuly sing-able but in the lower range)
An incomplete list of songs from musicals that are just nice to sing:
"The Naming Of The Cats" (name one song that's more transgender than this)
"ABC Café/Red & Black"
"Dear Theodosia", "Wait For It" and "You'll Be Back" ("i'm your maan~")
"From Now On" and "To The Other Side"
"Singin' In The Rain"
"Just A Man" from EPIC (yess)
