mike developing a propensity for laying with his head on will’s chest while they’re alone because he likes listening to will’s heartbeat and feeling how solid and steady and safe will is under him — we know her, we love her, i will be thinking about this concept until i die.

more specifically, though, the first time they fall asleep this way — mike, dozing off on will’s chest, feeling will’s heartbeat slow and his breathing even out and jolting awake, panicked for the briefest second before he realizes what’s happening. the movement startles will awake too. he blinks and looks up, a little disoriented, only to find mike staring down at him with wide eyes, because the realization has just struck him: not only is will safe and okay in a physical sense, but he feels safe around mike — he’s happy and comforted and trusts mike enough to fall asleep next to him. being absolutely bowled over by that conclusion vs. will who thinks mike is so stupid for ever assuming it was a question at all

do you want to know a scene that pisses me off in tig? the one right after thea and avery go dress shooping and thea ask if avery has thought abt her hair/makeup for the event and averys replies saying thats the only thing shes has been thinking

(which, the first time i read i though she was being mean but then i realised that she was trying to make a joke, sort of, bc its not rl averys style to be mean to anyone, she even says that once, and it would be out of character to her to be genuinely judging a girl, that she was trying to be nice the whole afternoon bc she genuinely thought thea wanted to be friends w her, for liking to dress up, when herself has to do it. Also the “deadpan” style she says that follows along other jokes she made on the book, specially the ones she made with max, also she could be joking bc she got shot the afternoon bf and rl didnt had the time to think abt anything else)

Throwing my hat into the Thea Muldani ring to say something controversial that yall will not like:

Part of the reason you guys don’t provide grace for Thea is because she’s the only confirmed black character (black WOMAN specifically bc yall have a misogyny problem) in the series and this fandom doesn’t provide nearly the same grace for its characters of color the way it does for the main white boys.

Nobody is this up in arms over Andrew nearly killing Allison. Nobody likes to mention how Kevin ignored Thea’s calls for several months. This fandom is crawling with unchecked bias and it really kills! Especially as a black person in the fandom!

One of the main points of all for the game is that none of these characters are perfect. None of them will ever be perfect. They are built from their experiences and circumstances. Thea is not perfect and it’s super weird that you guys hate this woman this badly when she showed up for a total of 5 minutes in the narrative.

Nicky and Riko are treated VERY similar in the way that you guys don’t provide them with any grace or acknowledge that there’s a reason WHY they’ve done what they’ve done. And you don’t have to like these characters!

But AGAIN: Yall go bonkers over Thea yelling at Kevin, at Nicky’s kiss to Neil, and Riko’s everything, but you won’t hold Andrew accountable for misogyny and Almost killing Allison and his constant threats to Kaitlyn. You guys don’t hold Jean to any way of accountable for his hand in Neil’s days at Evermore. In fact, you guys go “well they’ve been through some shit/have little to no autonomy” and it’s just….the lack of nuance this fandom manages to have when it comes to certain characters is frankly impressive in a sick sort of way.

TLDR: Calling Thea a pedophile and a groomer are really big crazy things to say without any proof from the narrative or EC and I think we do a little soul searching and determine why we think that okay?

To aid me on my quest of extreme procrastination, I've decided to translate the French version of The Dragon's Code. For context, the non-English versions of the Thea Stilton books have little extended scenes at the end that are basically just the main characters chilling after solving the mystery. There's quite a bit to translate, so I'm breaking it up and just translating one character per post.

Starting off with Violet!

Right off the bat she writes a letter to Colette, complaining about the nicknames that they gave Vi. She acknowledges the other nicknames Colette gives her friends, like calling Pamela "Pam" and Nicky "Nic" (And Violet points out that it's a bit excessive, since Nicky's already an abbreviated name). Violet then addresses the nicknames that Colette gave her: "Vivi" and "Princess". She hates these nicknames with a burning passion.

In fact, Violet is being so incredibly petty about it that she comes up with a couple of amazing nicknames for Colette to get back at her. My favorites include:

"Collante": Sticky

"Cocotte": Casserole

"Colique": Colic (I had to look this one up to understand the joke; Colic is frequent, prolonged and intense crying or fussiness in a healthy infant. Violet's basically using a fancy term for cry-baby.)

These jokes wouldn't have worked as well in the English version, but they're hilarious in French.

Then she writes a list of various things that annoy her, like loud music (dangit pamela), nicknames (looking at you colette), people who talk while she's trying to study, etc., etc.

However, the next letter Violet writes is to her parents, in which she mentions that she has some new friends! She's like: "Hey Dad, I know I'm terribly shy and introverted and most people view me as a dismissive, short-tempered person, but I have friends now! Even I'm surprised by this development!"

Honestly, it's very sweet to see how much happier Violet is after properly getting to know and become friends with the other Thea Sisters. Despite all of their differences, Violet has grown to appreciate their company and uniqueness. She ends off her letter with a hopeful little note:

"P.S: Raxford (Mouseford in other translations) has an amphitheatre where we can give concerts. Wouldn't it be great if we could organize one and have you come?"

All in all, very cute extended scenes :)

Thick black brows and a perpetual scowl. Tan skin and they have a smattering of beauty marks (under right eye, on left cheek, above right brow, and on their chin.) Also a feather-light pale scar across their right brow.) Under the same eye they have the beauty mark, they have a small hand-poked tattoo of a snake.

Attire: Usually seen in an elaborately wrapped and layered dark blue (the color of the house) robe and gray pants. Traditional Heran casual garments. Never seen without their sword and their spiked ball and chain, usually corded around their waist like a belt.
