analyzing some images (for fun)
so i found this pair of promotion images for good omens season 1 on the good omens reference library server and it’s hooked me so so bad im having feelings about it. we’re analyzing them now. not really for meta purposes just fun to see the parallels and differences :)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
everything under the cut !
unique traits
aziraphale:
1) his plank background. its older, its crisp, it smells like wood from the screen. mmmm
2) the pencil shavings at the bottom. he does a lot of writing honestly, so i like this. also adds a messy and cozy vibe he always seems to have in that shop…. i like that blessed shop fr
3) his SUSHI. little soy sauce drops near it too—just the right amount of deliberate mess. our first formal introduction to aziraphale in the present day and beginning the Tomfoolery just happens to have sushi... i watch that scene and i go “yeah, that sums up aziraphale i suppose” very nicely. (they dont have sushi Up There) (im literally never gonna forget that)
4) the ray of light shining on the scene. tiny thing, but a bit of the heaven is peeking through..it also sort of blurs the whole image but i think thats just me.
5) and we’ve saved the best for last: the big whopper. the nice and accurate prophecies of agnes nutter, witch. I LOVE THAT BOOK!!!!!!! i cant remember if that ring stain was there but if it isnt in the show on the actual book i’d assume thats to add that ‘thy cocoa doth grow cold’ thing. ALSO. you know what’s being used as a bookmark in the pages?? a check for the ritz. he bookmarked their one chance for living . with a ritz check . MMMMMM. my GOD. that means so much to me even if i cant convey it in words. he KEEPS THE CHECKS 😭😭😭😭😭😭
crowley:
1) let me get my favorite out of the way. crowley’s glasses have fire in their reflection. we’ll talk about the glasses themselves later but the REFLECTION IN THEM. fucking FIRE, BOOKSHOP fire, PAIN, SRIVING THROUGH THE M-25, HELL, I DONT KNOWIM HAVING FEELINGS!!! i do believe this is a bookshop fire reference though, the flames feel too Familiar. the lengths people will go to to attack others 🤧
2) the leather seat background!!!!!!! probably meant to look similar to the bentley’s seats but i cant recall their texture, exactly. maybe just meant to convey modernness—unsure. still, its there <3
3) the tiny little crisp plant </3 its trying his damned best to stay perfect. it might a specific plant that means something, but i cant tell at thsi angle, so i’ll assume its a mini version of the ficus he keeps in the flat. its so SMALL and sitting in ANOTHER POT i CANT
4) the snake slithering!! black and red (in this image it looks orange lol) bellied scales!!!! slithering there, chilling, being crowley, showing hints. love it
5) QUEEN RECORD!!!!! TRYING TO OVERRIDE IT WITH TCHAIKOVSKY!!!!!! the tape over it does a reminisence to crowley’s handwriting, but in a clean ‘this made made to be a font’ way. not exactly just yet. ive become a fan of tchaikovsky recently. amazing darling wonderful crowley, trying to push the rock up the hill for eternity 😞
6) HIS LITTLE DEMON KEY THING. HOLDING A TINY LITTLE BENTLEY CAR KEY OHHH. thats how he doesnt lose the tiny key despite probably not needing one of those. and he CHOSE that intentionally probably. little wings and red circle….URGHHHHHHH
similarities
mmmmm now here’s the good shit. similarities! i’ll bullet point most of them but ohhhhh. ohhhh these. i’ll go from top to bottom as best i can….
1) one of their shoes, obviously. crowley has them iconic snakeskin shoes while aziraphale has his old loafers like the old loafer he is /pos
2) chateauneuf de pape wine bottle labels! (crowley’s is under his glasses, aziraphale’s is next to his shoe). oh my fucking god theyre MATCHING. the labels are old, battered, of course labeling the drink’s age, but mmmmm its these tiny details that get me going….
3) their respective drinks in their mugs—crowley’s a black mug coffee (or what looks to be coffee) and aziraphale’s angel mug tea (or what looks to be tea). i think about that mug sometimes. where did he get that from?? mystery for the ages….
4) their glasses, of course. crowley’s iconic sunglasses and aziraphale’s reading spectacles. i cant really tell the reflections in this pair, but if its supposed to be fucking fire, im done with this. im giving up forever
5) their own watches! aziraphale’s is visibily older while crowley’s is visibly modern, but they function just the same. also, crowley’s is set to 2:56:59 (presumably PM), which is around the time we see when crowley starts checking his watch at warlock’s birthday party. its almost time for disaster to strike!! 😃
6) and finally….their ties!! they have their own ties!!! or more accurately, neck accessories, but i digress. i mesn i assume its crowley’s neck tie, because the fabric looks… different. either way, crowley’s neck thingie is very whispy and aziraphale has his funky little bowtie i love so much,,,
okay thats it. there’s no canonical implications, any fantheories, none of the sort. just saw a pair of images and my mind went GOD DAMN!!!!!! theyre very important to me. i need to look at more promo material 😔

catching feelings, part 2 (part 1)
A seven-page, black-and-white Psychonauts fancomic based on Puzz's "Cally O'Pia" AU.
PAGE 1: There are three square panels, of increasing size, arranged diagonally from the top left of the page. Cally O'Pia (an AU version of Loboto), is asleep on his stomach on a simple futon mattress. He is wearing a sleeveless sweater, flower-patterned pants, large round glasses like his childhood self, and shaggy shoulder-length hair with a flower tucked over his right ear. The panels show him gradually waking up and sitting up.
PAGE 2: There are six panels, the first of which is a full-page spread, showing Cal is stepping off of a ladder propped against the wall. In the background is a couch, several bottles and cans scattered on the floor, decorative wall drapery and a wall-mounted shelf displaying several books and a teddy bear. The second panel shows Cal walking into the kitchen to find Oleander hunched over the counter, eating a piece of toast, looking surprised to see Cal. There is a plate with toast and scrambled eggs in front of him, and off to the side is a cup of coffee in a mug with a fish decoration. The rest of the panels show Oleander, looking somewhat anxious. PANEL 3: (Oleander wipes his face with one arm) "Uh. Hey. Morning. Sorry for using your kitchen." PANEL 4: (Oleander glances off to the side grimacing, rubbing his arm anxiously) "I was, uh. Super hungover. So I made like. Coffee and eggs and stuff." PANEL 5: (Beat. Oleander, still rubbing his arm, glances in Cal's direction.) PANEL 6: (Oleander rubs the back of his head anxiously, glancing away) "Do you. Want some." (Cal, in the foreground, grins back) "Yea sure"
PAGE 3: There are two panels, arranged diagonally from the top left and slightly overlapping. The first shows two plates of scrambled eggs and toast, and two steaming coffee mugs, with Cal and Oleander's hands each holding one. The second shows them both leaning against the counter sipping coffee - Oleander in front with the fish mug, blushing and looking off to the side; Cal, smiling, off to the right side, with a rounded mug with a wavy brim, patterned with flowers and a bee. There is a mostly-empty plate next to Oleander, and one next to Cal that still has a pile of eggs and a slice of toast.
PAGE 4: There are eight panels arranged in two rows, paired into groups of two panels cutting between Oleander and Cal speaking. Oleander: (lowering his coffee mug, blushing and glancing off to the side) "So. Uh. I've been thinking." Cal: (grinning and raising an eyebrow, lowering his coffee mug) "No kidding? That's a new one for you. Somethin' specific or just practicing?" Oleander: (grimacing and placing his right hand on his face) "Very funny, jackass. ...I was... I was thinkin' about, uh. About last night." Cal: (looking surprised, blushing and sweating with a shaky grin) "Oh." Oleander: (dragging his hand down his face, looking nervous) "Yeah. It's- ...yeah. I mean... I know we were just really drunk, but I..." Cal: (folding his hands in front of him and leaning forward with a lovestruck look, hearts floating around him) "Uh-huh?" Oleander: (close-up on his face, biting his lip, blushing, running his hand back to rub the back of his head) "I... do you think that we... I mean... can we..." (close-up on Cal looking lovestruck, biting his lip, blushing and sweating, with hearts all around him.)
PAGE 5: There are two panels, one of which is a full-page spread taking up the majority of the page. There are two large word bubbles from an offscreen Oleander, reading: "Can we forget the whole thing. Just like- pretend nothing happened and act totally normal." The background behind Cal is black with a shattering effect, with a large broken heart next to him; he is sitting with a tight, closed-mouth smile, looking visibly taken aback. The second panel is small in the bottom right, showing Cal, looking deflated, with his arms folded on the counter and a shaky, forced grin, saying: "Yeah. Sure thing".
PAGE 6: There are four panels, the first of which is a full-page spread showing Oleander and Cal standing in the living room. There is a couch behind them with a throw blanket over the back, decorative drapery, beads and photos on the wall, and several bottles and cans littering the floor around them. Oleander pulls on his jacket, staring at the litter, while Cal stands next to him, visibly tense, holding one arm and grinning tightly. Oleander: "Geez. Uh. Are you sure you don't want help cleaning up?" Cal: "NOPE ALL GOOD HERE" Oleander: "All right. See you at work?" Cal: "UH HUH". The second panel shows the outside of Cal's house, with rough vertical wood paneling, an open doorway with decorative drapery and beads, and a long horizontal window to the left. Oleander is walking off into the foreground, looking back over his shoulder to wave goodbye to Cal, who is leaning against the doorway with a grin and waving back. The third panel shows him continuing to stand there, arms folded and expression tight, after Oleander has gone, and the fourth shows him having collapsed face-down on the ground.
PAGE 7: There is a single drawing of Oleander walking, swinging his arms wildly, on an otherwise empty page. He is staring down at the ground with an anxious expression and shaky grin, blushing furiously. There are hearts all around him, and he thinks: "God damn it."

Image description under the show more!
[ID: An uncoloured sketch page on a yellow background featuring six doodles of Vash the Stampede from Trigun Stampede.
Sketch 1 in the top left corner of the image features a full body sketch of Vash labelled “Love and Peace!”. He is in a 3/4 dynamic pose, with one leg stretched out in front of him and the other slightly bent. One arm stays at the side while the other reaches towards the camera with him folding his index finger over his middle finger in a peace sign. He is grinning and winking at the viewer.
Sketch 2 is a smaller sketch in the top right corner. It is a chibi style drawing of Vash with intense blue eyes staring at the viewer. It is labelled “Please put some contacts in…”
Sketch 3 is below Sketch 2 and is a bust drawing of Vash from a side angle. He is facing the left and looking up, with his head thrown back and his mouth wide open as he tries to catch a donut in it. His one visible arm is up in front of him, having just thrown the donut. He is drooling and his eyes are wide.
Sketch 4 is in the bottom left corner and is a mid-body drawing of Vash from a 3/4 view. He is facing towards the right and is winking while doing finger guns.
Sketch 5 is in the bottom middle of the image and is of shirtless Vash stretching his arms above his head. The drawing is cut off at the waist and showcases his heavily scarred body. He has his glasses on his head and is yawning.
Sketch 6 is in the bottom right and is a chibi style full body drawing of Vash. his eyes are shut and he’s smiling bashfully with an arm rubbing the back of his head. A small black cat is stepping out from behind him and looking towards the viewer. A little love heart is by his head.

[image ID: a page spread. on the left page is a rectangular frame, within which is an oil painting of a young Claudio Castagnoli and Eddie Kingston in the course of a match. both are kneeling in the ring. Kingston, on the right, presses his head against Castagnoli's shoulder. both look downwards. the painting is high in contrast, with white highlights and black shadows. the background is entirely black.
on the right page is a round-top frame containing text in approximated rotunda script. the first line opens with an illuminated letter W. the top and bottom of the frame are filled with semi-floral, symmetric decorative elements. the text reads: "whoever has been spared the worst is lucky. when high gods shake a house, that family is going to feel the blow. generation after generation. it starts like an undulation under-water, a surge that hauls black sand up off the bottom then turns into a tidal current, lashing the shingle and shaking promontories."
the border is split into 17 segments. 7 of the segments contain rounded decorative elements. 6 contain simplified portraits of either theseus or the minotaur. the remaining 4 contain close-ups on parts of a wound man. the lines of the border illustrations are thin and measured. /.End ID]
and never, you men of thebes, forget what you saw today.

WELCOME HOME WEBSITE GUIDE.
Updated: 12.03.23
UNDER CONSTRUCTION! WILL UPDATE AFTER THE MARCH 8TH 2024 WEBSITE UPDATE.
This is a handy-dandy guide to traversing the Welcome Home Website, whether it's your first time or after a major update!
Disclaimer: This is updated with only the current information for what's on the website. Earlier stuff that has been taken down is not on this guide.
There are currently TEN (10) main pages on the Website. You'll want to go through them all before going through any subpages or secret pages. You can technically do this in any order you want but here's what I suggest:
Homepage > What's Welcome Home? > The Neighborhood > About > Media > Merchandise > The Playfellow Exhibition > Stickers > News > Guestbook
Tumblr media
Afterwards, we can get into the subpages and all the nitty-gritty secrets! There are three types of subpages: 1) Y/W/X/O/V/E Pages, 2) Wally's Drawings, and 3) Bug Recordings.
Y/W/X/O/V/E Pages*: These are the only pages without clickable links anywhere. You get to these pages by scrambling the letters Y, W, X, O, V, E and adding them to the website link (ex. www.clownillustration.com/eovwxy). These letters come from places on the Website's main pages where it appears the letters "glitched" out of place. These pages don't have any specific order:
EOVWXY, YXWVOE (Duet), YWVOEV, VOYWEX, WOXYVE
*WARNING: After the latest update, the "glitched" letters seem to no longer be out of place (for the most part) and the page links now all end with the word "deleted." This might mean these pages will be deleted in the next update.
2. Wally's Drawings: Across the site, there are GIFs of doodles being made on the main pages. These are supposed to be Wally drawing on the website, kind of like the drawings he leaves in the guestbook, except these are clickable links to recordings of Wally's voice. These pages have an order:
I > Will > Help > You > Understand > I-1 > Will-2 > Find > A > Way > Soon > Neighbor
3. Bug Recordings: Also across the site are GIFs of little bugs that are clickable links. These lead to video recordings of two of the characters talking to one another until one of them brings up Wally's name at the end, cutting off the dialogue. The videos are supposed to be from Wally's perspective. These pages have a specific order:
1-14-ph > 2-14-sp > 3-14-hs > 4-14-bf > 5-14-be > 6-14-jf > 7-14-ej > 8-14-ef > 9-14-fp >10-14-js > 11-14-jb > 12-14-hb > 13-14-he > 14-14-bh
Tumblr media

All of the neighbor’s bios are in past tense (“Julie was a rainbow monster”/”Eddie was a mail carrier”), aside from Wally’s which is in the present tense (“Wally is the most prominent character”).
Underneath Home, there is a black background with a white swirl on it. With every update, the swirl gets bigger. You can see this by double-clicking the map and opening the image in a new tab.

Tumblr media
The Playfellow Exhibition
Staff Only
Staff Only is a secret page that can be accessed by clicking the word “answer” in the fourth paragraph below the image carousel in the phrase "I still have so many questions to answer..."
This leads to a page of an image of scribbled text, most notably the words, “CODE IS 5 CHARACTERS! WORKSHEET IS 5 QUESTIONS- KEY??” Clicking on the image leads to another image of a safe.
Clicking on the image leads to a Guest Area where you must enter a password. The password is ‘BSPJW’ based on the answers to the worksheet found in the image carousel on “The Playfellow Exhibition” page, aka Barnaby, Sally, Poppy, Julie, and Wally. The initials of the characters’ names from the answers are the 5 characters needed for the password.
This leads to the Staff Only page. The header reads, "The Playfellow Exhibition" and "Can you hear me?" written multiple times. Under that is text that says,
"I had a dream when I began working on the Playfellow Exhibition. Wally Darling was sitting at the foot of my bed with a rotary phone in front of him, ringing away. It looked just like the little toy phone we were restoring for the exhibit. It kept ringing. Wally stared at me like he was waiting for me to pick up the phone. Just staring, unblinking. The phone ringing and ringing. I couldn't move. I couldn't figure out how to move and pick up the phone. He kept waiting. I couldn't pick up the phone.
"I keep getting phone calls, now. Or at least, I assume that's what's happening. I keep hearing it ringing. All day, sometimes. I check my phone and there's no new messages. I thought maybe some of the site staff were pranking me, but I tore up the workspace and couldn't find another phone that might be ringing. All that was there were the toys for the exhibit, and obviously those couldn't be ringing. But I kept hearing it anyway. The phone ringing and ringing.
“The more I work, the more questions I have. Why didn't any of the site staff I worked with remember this show? Even the ones who grew up in the 70s? Why can't I find any files on the Playfellow Workshop? Why isn't there a single TV guide ad saying what network or time the show was on? I keep digging and digging. I've poured over every recovery the WHRP has given me access to, every inch of their website, and the things I find make less and less sense. If I didn't know better I'd say everyone was coming together to pull an elaborate prank on me. I can still hear the phone ringing now. I don't know how to answer the phone. I need to answer the phone."
There is blacked-out text written over this that says, "Ring-ring. Hello? Can you hear me? Call back soon, please. Ring-ring. Ring. Hello? Can you hear me? Call back soon, please." six times and then, "Ring. Ring ring. Won’t you please pick up?"
At the bottom of the page there is text that says, “It’s in here.” Clicking on this just leads to the 404 Error page.
Wally's Drawings
There is a drawing of a house at the bottom of the page. This leads to the "Understand" recording.

There is a bug to the right of the menu at the top of the page that leads to the "2-14-sp" recording.

chrysalis 🦋
an introspective on growing up as a transmasculine butch lesbian without the words for it. that child carried me here; I turn finally to face him and say, now, I will carry you.
I wrote a lot about this piece on instagram, if you’d like a deeper read.
Image description below.
[ Image descriptions by page number, reading left to right in rows of three and two.
1: Two hands are shown reaching out to one another in a recreation of The Creation of Adam. The left hand is a child’s hand, with a caterpillar with markings arching off the top finger. The right hand is an adult’s hand, with a large butterfly atop reaching down to make contact with the caterpillar. Its wings have heart motifs. Above the black line art, cursive text reads “chrysalis”, and then block handwritten text reads “a zine by Teddy”. The background is white.
2: An androgynous child is shown, cuddling a panda stuffed animal to their chest. They have round cheeks, short fluffy hair, and are wearing costume butterfly wings. Text reads “little one.” below the child in handwritten font. The background is white, the line art is black.
3: A baby is shown swaddled in cloth, one eye open and looking at the viewer. A tag on their cloth reads scrawl that roughly says “4kgs - overdue”. Text reads “were you ever, though? you were born big.” in handwritten font in the lower left corner. The background is white, the line art is black.
4: A women’s bathroom door is shown slightly ajar, with the child shown standing, back to the viewer, in front of the door and holding the hand of an off-canvas adult. Text reads “so you never really stood a chance at the whole ‘little girl’ thing.” in handwritten font. The background is white, the line art is black.
5: The child is shown in a striped jumper, standing and shaking a bottle of fizzy drink with a black label. They are smiling widely with shorter hair and with round cheeks. Faded speech bubbles read a blocked out name, and text saying “Put the bottle down! Don’t - don’t shake it!” and “Haha - stop that! Come back here -“. Text either side of the child reads “you were delightfully, undeniably boyish.” in handwritten font. The background is white, the line art is black.
6: Several items are shown, including a spiderman-themed cake, two misshapen sticks, a naked barbie doll, and an old playstation 3 controller across the canvas. The main text reads “the signs were there. how nobody noticed, I’ll never understand” at the top and bottom of the image in handwritten font. Smaller text frames the items, reading “that time you got to choose between a barbie or a spiderman birthday cake” and “sticks that looked like lightsabers and blasters” and “piles of naked barbie dolls” and “lego star wars sundays with dads” to match each item. The background is white, the line art is black.
7: The child is shown, older, in a school dress and with the fluffy hair in matching pigtails. They are looking up. A speech bubble reads “Hey.”. Text above these two reads “but then - someone did” in handwritten font. The background is white, the line art is black.
8: The child is shown from behind in their school dress and hair in pigtails. An older student is shown, taller than them and face obscured by shadow. Text reads “what were you? six?” in handwritten font. The background is white, the line art is black.
9: A speech bubble reads “WHAT EVEN ARE YOU? BOY OR A GIRL?” in handwritten block font at the centre of the image. Text reads “One question you’re meant to know the answer to” across the top left and the bottom right of the canvas in handwritten font. The background is white, the line art is black.
10: The child’s eyes are shown up close, with concerned eyebrows and slightly more detail. A butterfly with its wings closed is shown above the eyes, and then a butterfly with open wings is shown below the eyes. In the very centre between the eyes, text reads “and” in handwritten font. The background is white, the line art is black.
11: The child is shown from the side, looking down at their hands, with their pigtail and school dress visible. Their face is missing several details aside from their round cheeks. Dotted outlines of butterfly wings are shown behind them. Text reads “you hesitated” above and below the image in handwritten font. The background is white, the line art is black.
12: Several speech bubbles are shown in a cluster. Different ones read “You’re too young to know what crossdressing is!” and “How did you find this in the library? I ought to complain…” and “Always ready to defend the underdog, aren’t you?” and “Clothes from the boys section won’t fit your body right.” in handwritten block text. Above and below the speech bubbles reads “therein laid the answer. but it would be lost to you, in what was to follow.” in handwritten font. The background is white, the line art is black.
13: The child is shown slightly older, naked and with their hair splayed behind them in almost a massive ink spill. Peonies and petals are spread across the child’s body, obscuring their nudity, and their hands cover their chest. They are crying and only have eyes visible now, missing their mouth, nose, and round cheeks. Text in the lower right corner reads “to your mounting horror, you bloomed early” in handwritten font. The background is white, the line art is black.
14: The child is shown from the side, their inkspill hair reaching their shoulders, a bra strap visible on their chest and a hand reaching across to cover it. A multitude of hands reach out behind them, trying to clutch at their shoulders. Text reads “the things which others wanted for -“ in handwritten font in the upper left corner. The background is white, the line art is black.
15: The child is shown from the front, reaching their arms up to cut off the left side of their ink spill hair with a sword. The sword cuts on such an angle that it is severing their left breast as well, and snapping the centre of their bra. Blood leaks down from the cut. Their underarm hair is depicted as flames. Their eyes are shut and they cry a single black tear, and still have no mouth or nose. Text reads “- you were eager to cast aside” in handwritten font in the lower right corner. The background is white, the line art is black.
16: Nine iterations of the child are shown from the neck up on the side, with multiple different haircuts getting shorter and shorter, until the fluffy bob cut has turned into a side shave with straight hair slicked back on top. Text reads “anything you did want you sought through compromise” between the nine busts, in handwritten font. The background is white, the line art is black.
17: A calendar is shown hanging on the wall, depicting December 2019. The top has several roses with December 2019 written in cursive font. The bottom has a grid of dates covered in crosses, with one date marked “GRADUATION” and outlined with a circle, as a countdown to that date. Text above the calendar reads “inching towards your own private prayer” in handwritten font. The background is white, the line art is black.
18: The child is shown, grown into an adult, curled in a fetal position in a bubble. Below the bubble, the adult is shown bursting out with a pair of butterfly wings behind them - like a fairy. The wings have heart motifs. The adult has shaved hair and straight hair slicked back, and remains with an androgynous body. Text around the bubble reads “the chrysalis that came after”, and text below the fairy adult reads “is not unique” in handwritten font. The background is white, the line art is black.
19: The fairy adult is shown kneeling, on the side, with their wings drooped behind them. They are crying and grimacing, hands outstretched on their thighs, in a vulnerable position. A hand from off-canvas reaches out to cup their jaw. Text behind them reads “the loathing which once sustained you” in handwritten font. The background is white, the line art is black.
20: A subtle recreation of the artwork the Birth of Venus is shown, depicting the fairy adult and two friends on the canvas. The fairy adult stands with their wings open, a hand on their chest and beside their genitals, with a visibly hairy body, slicked back hair, small cross earrings, and a gradient “DYKE” tattoo under their breasts. On their right, a trans man is shown leaning over with his arm across the fairy adult’s shoulders. He is hairy, with top surgery scars, a short haircut, and a double Mars tattoo on his shoulder. He also has butterfly wings. On the fairy adult’s left, a woman is shown, with a cropped bob of hair, a flame heart earring, and is wrapping her arms around the fairy adult’s arm. She has a large arm tattoo of a crying demon, a visible chest, and butterfly wings. Text reads “turned into love” in handwritten font above the three figures. The background is white, the line art is black.
21: The child is shown again in its original outfit, holding the panda bear to their chest with their costume butterfly wings on. They are looking up, almost as if there is a figure off canvas they are looking at. Text reads “I wonder, little one…” in handwritten font. The background is white, the line art is black.
22: The adult - who is Teddy, the artist - is shown looking down, wearing a tee shirt, a leather jacket, and jeans. He has their hands in their pockets, and are smiling softly. They have large butterfly wings with heart motifs, cross earrings, and tears in their eyes. Their hair is slicked back and messy, with short shaved sides. He has all of his features and looks complete and whole. Petals are blowing in the wind around them. Text reads “do you recognise me?” in handwritten font above him. The background is white, the line art is black.
23: The child is shown from the side, running towards the right of the canvas, with the panda in their arms. They look as if they are about to cry. There is no text. The background is white, the line art is black.
24: The child is shown in their outfit from the fizzy drink shaking page (a striped jumper and jeans with the costume butterfly wings), running across the canvas. The panda is shown discarded on the ground behind them. There is no text. The background is white, the line art is black.
25: The child has reached adult Teddy, who is kneeling to lift them into their arms. They reach out. Adult Teddy is shown on the side in his leather jacket, jeans, with his cross earring, and with his large butterfly wings. There is no text. The background is white, the line art is black.
26: Adult Teddy is shown holding the child in his arms. The child is shown with their back to the viewer, so their costume butterfly wings are on display. They have their arms around Teddy’s neck and are being held up in his arms. Teddy is wearing a leather jacket, jeans, and has his hair slicked back, with large butterfly wings behind him. He is crying, and his right hand cups the child’s head tenderly. Text reads “I love you. I’m not ashamed of you” above and below the art in handwritten font. The background is white, the line art is black.
27: Teddy and the child are shown pressing their foreheads together, both crying and smiling. The child has short, fluffy hair, round cheeks, and is wearing their striped jumper. Teddy has slicked back hair with shaved sides, black cross earrings, a leather jacket on, and tears falling from his eyes. He is shown tenderly touching the child’s cheek in comfort. There is a black butterfly between them with heart motifs on its wings. Text reads “you made such a beautiful butterfly” in handwritten font below the art. The background is white, the line art is black.
28: Teddy and the child are shown, back to the canvas. The child is riding on Teddy’s shoulders, gripping around his head for security. Teddy is reaching up to grip the child’s legs to keep them stable. The child is wearing costume butterfly wings. Teddy’s leather jacket parallels this with a butterfly wings pair embroidered on the back. They are walking away together, peacefully. Text reads “fin.” beside them on the right, with a blank butterfly beside it. The background is white, the line art is black.

okay hi
did i promise to make an art... lore dump post literally last month? yes. did i not do it for nearly a month? also yes. and im Very Sorry.
anyway! onto the ranting
So starting off with the obvious, Nanehi's color scheme is based off of the Shawnee tribe's flag!
Tumblr media
Obviously more desaturated, but the blue sweater and two yellow stars were meant to show that he's native.
Alright, going in page order I'm just gonna throw around some easter eggs or fun facts or commentary...whatever....
Tumblr media
Because this is the only good image I can find of it, Nane wears his parents' wedding bands on a necklace. Because his parents are divorced </3
Tumblr media
On page 2, Nane has a poster up on his wall which is my current sketchbook cover in my art class. I believe it's somewhere on my art blog
Tumblr media
Nane has a ziptie on his backpack! It doesn't mean anything.
Tumblr media
Page 6: The white text that says "what?" is actually a reference to the first debut of Nane - an askblog!
Tumblr media
(technically his first word was "huh" but i changed it to what for plot's sake)
Continuing with the black spaces on page 6, the panicked eye doesn't really mean anything. However, the twisted light switch was supposed to represent the noose that shows up at the end of the comic.
Tumblr media
For page 7, there's obviously the audience design to talk about, but the things I actually wanna focus on are:
The doodle on the top left, which is Nanehi saying that he thinks he has tinnitus [which he then goes on to immediately deny in the next page]
And the doodle on the bottom right. His fursona is a bunny and if I could, I would've tried to fit more bunny imagery into the comic. But alas :pensive:
Tumblr media
Page 13: All the different colored text were the responses I got from a select few people. I showed them the previous panels of the page and asked them what they wanted [there is one distinct person I didn't ask but I will get to them later].
I also want you to keep the... 3rd shade of green in mind [the "i want to see where this goes"]
Tumblr media
For this panel on page 15, I wanted it to be known that Nanehi isn't a real person, and they know it. Everyone else's face is squared, even the simply doodled character in the background and the barely visible person in the foreground. Everyone except Nane.
Tumblr media
Page 16: Man that's just mold on his shower curtain.
Tumblr media
Page 17: There's actually a lot I want to talk about with page 17. Firstly, the design of The Audience. It changed, clearly. Before it was that weird circle thing, but now it's more humanoid - to the point of having hair similar to Nanehi's. The reason being, it's not entirely The Audience anymore. It's The Creator too. Nanehi was based off my fear of being watched and constantly having an audience. The little amount of comfort that the figure gives was... sorta supposed to be an apology to the character- as cheesy as that sounds.
(Also the fact that their text originally said "didn't they already answer that" but was crossed out to say 'we'. The Creator disguising themself as The Audience. And truly, what is to separate them?)
Another thing I want to point out is the dark grey panel. It's the same shade of grey I used for the askblog, and he's smiling in that panel, because during the askblog he was much happier around the audience- or the concept of them, rather.
And then of course, the dark blue text that reads "I know how this ends." That actually wasn't a response I took from someone, but rather a piece of... I guess dialogue, that I felt like someone would say. That specific someone being my friend Classi, who was the only person besides me that knew how Watcher ended. Purely because she had a very similar character and we thought that they'd be buddies.
Tumblr media
On page 18, we have 3 entire panels in a different style. That being the style of the askblog.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(some examples)(the last image is where the avatar came from, haha)
Tumblr media
On page 19 we have this panel, which you can probably assume what it is. It, I suppose, could both be seen as Nane standing, back to the audience, or as Nane hanging without the noose. You choose.
Tumblr media
And of course, the last page. For some reason this fucks me up. Because this is The Creator talking to Nanehi. The Creator knows that Nane has no say in how their story ends, but they're given the illusion of control, because that's all they've been looking for. They wanted control over something, so the only way to prove such control was to show The Audience that they could end the story whenever they wanted. He doesn't know that he was talking to The Creator, he just assumed it was still The Audience. He doesn't know that he didn't really have a say.
This was what he wanted. That's how he's ending the story

🍁🐓A Haunted Harvest🐓🍁
Happy autumn everyone!! I hope you're all doing well!! Had a minute to breathe from school to finish formatting this!! Here's a little series I did in one of my classes as part of the visual development of a project of mine :) It may also end up in my school portfolio too to showcase the process, I'm not too sure. I'm reaching a point where I'll probably end up adding work I've done here to it. So far I've kept things pretty separate and not tied to any of my school or professional work, but that's becoming slightly impractical as I look for internships and whatnot. That being said, it will be very rare I add any of that stuff here, it'll be more likely I use this work in my portfolio instead. anyways, ramble over haha.
This was a lot of fun to do!! at the time of making it, I really wanted to test out a new inking style, one I've incorporated in my other pieces since :) for the final project, i did end up doing something somewhat similar, but in a more painterly style with line art. Aaaaand I was advised to make the chicken happier, which did make sense for the final application haha. But I love my haunted little chicken buddy ^^
[ID: Three white papers in a line with illustrations on them partially covered in leaves on leaf covered grass. the two outermost illustrations are tall, narrow pieces of paper, while the center page is a square. From left to right, the illustrations are a lettuce plant with roots, a chicken head, and a carrot with leaves and smaller root structures at the tip. are are drawn in black ink, and colored with yellow, red, and blue inks. they are also surrounded by black, yellow, red, and blue hash marks throughout the page to imitate a block print. the chicken head face left and slightly down, it's beak opened.
Image 2: A hand holding the previously described illustrations over a grassy, leaf covered pack ground. instead of the previous order however, they are held in a splayed out pattern like a deck of cards, the rightmost image being on top. from right to left, the order is carrot, lettuce, and chicken. the hand comes in from the bottom right of the frame, and is white, has black nail polish and a gray sweatshirt sleeve.
Image 3: Illustration of a chicken in black, blue, and red ink head on a white background covered in the same colored hash marks. the chicken faces left, it's head tilted downward with an open beak and blank stare. it's beak is predominately yellows, while parts of its face, full comb, and wattles, are mostly red. it's eye is yellow, and its body is mostly white. all areas of the chicken have yellow, blue, abs red in them to differing degrees. the outline of the chicken has wavering, disconnected lines surrounding it.
Image 4: Illustrations of the lettuce and the carrot, left to right, on white pages overlaid on a black background. they have the same style line are and colors as the chicken piece. No one color out of the yellow, red, and blue takes up either drawing. however the carrot is more saturated than the lettuce.
Image 5: close-up on the chicken's head. details in the face, such as the skin and feather texture, are more apparent. it crops at the tip of the beak, cutting the lower part of it off at the end, halfway up the comb, and before the neck truly begins.
Image 6: crop focusing on the leaves of the carrot illustration. most of them are in frame, with the exception of the tips. the top quarter of the carrot is also in frame
Image 7: close up on the root structure of the lettuce plant. most of the roots are in frame, with the exception of the very ends of them. the crop also shows the lower half of the lettuce leaves /end ID]

@Wellnoe and I made a little one-page Orth/Ibex zine for the Sam’s Club Zine Exchange, themed around reunions. Of course we HAD to write about our favorite difficult old men in a situation. Art and lettering by them, script and dialogue by me.
If you are interested in printing out and folding your own physical copy, you can download one here.
Image description below the cut!
Traditionally drawn black and white comic in simple grid layout. Orth Godlove and Ibex are older, wearing suits as described in the dance during the Counter/weight finale.
Page 1/Front Cover
Top half of the background is flowers. Bottom half is leaves.
Title: A postscript after Orth and Ibex’s dance.
Caption:
Script & Words: Wil Xia (boo-cool-robot)
Art & Letters: Wellnoe
Page 2
Orth sitting on a marble bench in a lush, artificial garden. His tie is loosened and he looks tired.
He looks up at the night sky.
Ibex approaches, silhouetted in the foreground.
IBEX: May I join you?
Caption: You scavenged data. You fed blueprints to me and I, well, I executed them.
Page 3
Ibex lets himself down onto the bench. Orth cocks his head at Ibex.
ORTH: Bringing me another offer?
IBEX: I brought you chips.
Close up on Ibex’s hands holding a cup of potato chips.
Caption: I comb through the data myself now. What’s coming. What used to be.
Page 4
Orth makes a grossed-out face that’s surprisingly unguarded and expressive.
ORTH: These the ones on the little platters inside? Awful things.
Orth is already reaching for a chip.
Caption: The moment his hand lifted free from my back, I’d realized. In another world, Attar Rose could have loved him.
Page 5
Orth is turned toward Ibex on the bench, looking down a little at him, amused. Their hands are close, hovering over the chip cup, postures mirrored.
IBEX: I could make better chips than these.
ORTH: I remember.
Caption: You had told me what to say, how to take his hand in order to turn him to me.
Page 6
Orth and Ibex with their backs to the camera, looking at a fountain in the distance. Ibex hesitates, looking at Orth. Orth has turned away already, the moment gone without him even having been aware there was a moment.
Caption: I thought I had mastered you. But in your absence, I realize that I instinctively feel for your guidance on the lead before I bite.
Page 7
Orth leaving the garden, stepping out of the pool of light. He looks back at Ibex, who looks weary.
ORTH: Are you ready?
Caption: I was like a very good dog.

day 7 / 100 days of productivity
12th of september, 2023
boring parts of the day - loged off my job at 6:30pm, did some language tutoring and cleaned my apartment
more interesting part of the day:
i started making a program to teach my native language for kids! it was actually so fun, i didn't think it would be so engaging. i think i learned a lot from making the introductory lesson alone. doing it at a cafe with a nice cup of capuccino certainly made the experience more enjoyable. and met these cuties omw home </3
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i don't have a lot of free time at the end of the day, but i try to learn and practice as much i physically can. yesterday i made sort of a base of my simple html+css personal page, today i focused on trying to make it look presentable. i think centred objects look the best lol. so far this is what i have 😵‍💫 i love making things cute and girly
Tumblr media
i want to start documenting things i learned about programming on this blog.
<button onclick="history.back()"><i class="fa-solid fa-circle-chevron-left"> - simple back button with a fontawesone icon
<link rel="stylesheet" href="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/font-awesome/6.3.0/css/all.min.css"> - add this to your <head> element to import fontawesone into your project
background-image: url() - before this i didn't know you could add images with css!
margin: top right bottom left - finally memorised the order lol
read up about flexbox, gonna practice it more tomorrow and try to explain it to myself
i also discovered pets extension for vs code xD it's absolutely adorable (onion is shocked too)
Tumblr media
i'm sad i wasn't able to journal these days :( i bought so many stikers and decorating stuff
tomorrow's plans:

Image ID for this one under the cut
[IMAGE ID: The left panel takes up a full half of the page with an establishing shot of an enormous, intricate Catholic church of gothic architecture. There are trees seen in the background, as well as Whit’s van parked out in front of the steps, though the reader cannot see Whit yet. The church is built symmetrically, with two looming towers framing the centerpiece of the building. The steps lead to a shaded area with three enormous, heavy wooden doors, each door framed by an arch that someone would have to walk through to reach it.
Above the entrance are two additional, slimmer towers of stained glass. Behind them is the enormous face of the rest of the church and an enormous stained glass window depicting indistinguishable saints.
The right tower is bulkier than the one on the left, with a central chamber near the top being surrounded on at least two sides by enormous round windows of stained glass. There are three crosses at the tops of the three highest points.
While the trees, the van, and the building of the church are in greyscale, the windows of the church itself are a myriad of rainbow color. The colors seem to glow from within the glass.
Two grey text boxes identify this as the Church of St. Matthew, 6:43 P.M.
At the bottom of the left side panel are three free floating stained glass windows in the shape of pointed arches. The first window, rendered with a mildly blue border, shows a profile view of a medium-dark skinned man with loosely coily black curls to the nape of his neck. He is a Puerto Rican man of approximately middle-age, and he wears the vestments of a priest. The man is rendered in black and white and his expression is stern.
In the background, the stained glass is rendered in full-color, albeit in tones of saturated blue. It shows the first scene from the story of Abraham and Isaac- Isaac, kneeling to the right of his father, has his head bowed and his hands obscured by the priest in the foreground. Abraham raises the dagger in his hand over the bowed head of his son, preparing to strike. Both father and son have halos of sharp, geometric lines.
The second stained glass window, rendered with a green border, shows the same man in the foreground, but now his face is obscured. He is in motion and is walking from the panel. In the background, the second part of the story is rendered in warmer tones. An angel appears to Abraham, one hand outstretched and the other raised as a motion to halt. Abraham’s back is turned to the viewer as he gazes up at the angel. The angel has indistinct features but has short blond hair and feathery wings, wearing a perfectly round halo. The priest in the foreground obscures Isaac.
The third stained glass window, its border rendered in maroon, shows that the man has mostly gone. In the background, Abraham holds tightly onto his son as Isaac slowly rises, although his head remains bowed. Abraham looks to where the angel points to the right side of the panel, where a ram colored in pink is depicted. The tones of the glass are now more red than blue, and Isaac is revealed to have been bound with his hands tied together.
In the foreground, the priest’s stole, swaying as he walks, makes a cut across the ram’s throat.
The top right panel shows a perspective shot looking up at the priest’s feet as he ascends the stairs with a clak… and the rainbow colors of stained glass are seen through the bars of the railing. Rainbow light spills from above.
The middle right panel shows a shot of the priest’s hand as it rests on the banister. Rainbow light spills over the back of his hand and he wears a rosary around his wrist. Three of the rosary beads have rainbow colors to them, with the middle bead showing a full rainbow sphere while the two beads on either side show slivers, like marbles, or like eyes in the motion of blinking.
The bottom right panel takes up the majority of the right side of the page and shows a perspective shot of the priest ascending a long, spiral staircase. The greyscale of the stairs is a stark contrast to the rainbow color of the stained glass windows reaching floor to ceiling alongside it, depicting the same story of Abraham and Isaac as was described earlier. There is the gentle clak… clak… of his footsteps in the empty room as he ascends toward the higher floor and the enormous circular stained glass windows there.
The background behind the panels begins as the normal white void, but it soon becomes a gradient of grey. END ID.]

EPISODE HIGHLIGHT: ANATOMY OF A MONSTER
Today we're highlighting our 22nd episode of Season 1: "anatomy of a monster"
it's a collection of trans poetry with monster imagery
you can find it wherever you get your podcasts! (if not, pls let us know!)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
https://shows.acast.com/tranthologies/episodes/anatomy-of-a-monster
Image description below the cut
Slide 1: A dark green background. In white lettering, a title reads: "ANATOMY OF A MONSTER.” In the centre of the page, there is the cover art for this episode. It pictures several colourful, queer monsters including but not limited to a werewolf with top surgery scars, mothman with a transgender symbol on his wing, and an androgynous-looking merperson. The cover art has arrows pointing away from it with text coming off them. The text coming off the arrows reads as the following: "1. Trans poetry 2. Queer monster imagery 3. Comment on how society treats us 4. T4t love poem 5. Growing, changing and transitioning together 6. Thanking those who came before us for having the courage to exist.”
Slide 2: A dark green background. There is a design of a piece of paper in the centre of the page. On the paper, text reads: “Monsters, I believe, have always been around, born from whispers on storytellers’ lips.” There are several monsters all over the page: sea creatures, a werewolf, a dragon, some tentacles and some fangs.
Slide 3: A dark green background. Covering most of the page, there is a design of white lined paper. On the paper, an excerpt from the episode reads: “In my dreams, I saw myself. Who I could have become if they hadn’t Stripped me of everything that made me me. If they hadn’t broken me, reshaped my flesh and bones, Forced me into their suffocating mould of normality. Every morning, I awoke and felt wrong. My skin, my shape, my body didn’t feel like mine. And I realised, it never had. And then I realised I did not have to accept this fate. The next time they came to pull out my fangs, I bit down hard and watched their hand bleed. I became the creature of chaos that I was always meant to be. And, for the first time in years, I smiled.”
Slide 4: A dark green background. In the centre of the page, there is a design of white lined paper. On the paper, the credits read: “CREW: Written by Alex Abrahams. Directed by Alex Abrahams. Audio editing by Alex Abrahams. Art by Sylvie Keyes. CAST: Alex Abrahams.” There are bones in the top left corner, a zombie hand in the top right corner, tentacles in the bottom left corner, and fangs in the bottom right corner.

Rudy Holiday Week, Day 6: “He Fell Down”
What you leave behind.
@rudyholidayweek
[ IMAGE ID page 1: The top-first panel shows a silhouette of Asgore facing away from the camera. His arms and head slump onto the side railing of Rudy’s hospital bed. Asgore’s right arm is more bent, indicating that he has his hand over his own face. Toriel’s hand rests on his back to comfort him. A white glow emits from Rudy’s bed. The middle-second panel is a silhouette of Toriel, whom is also facing away from the camera. She bows her head. Her left arm stretches at a low angle to touch Asgore next to her. The bottom-final panel is Carol hugging Noelle while facing the camera. Noelle cries in Carol’s arms, looking downward and away from Rudy’s bed. Her own hair spills over her face. Carol faces Rudy’s bed, eyes cast downward with tears forming at their corners. The white light from the bed shines on them. The entire page has a black background. All four characters are painted in a blueish hue.
[ IMAGE ID page 2: After black empty space, the camera has been pulled out and now hangs to the right of the hospital bed. Asgore, Toriel, Carol, and Noelle surround Rudy’s bed in the same positions as page 1. Rudy faces the camera with eyes closed. He looks gaunt, expressionless, and with a lifelessly pale coloring.  After more black empty space is the final panel. It is the same image, except Rudy is gone. Dust hangs in the air. ID END ]
