Happy Birthday, Fuuta! (~600 word yap session about T3 Fuuta predictions + phoenix symbolism under the cut because I am incredibly excited for his birthday TL and have English this semester.)

To establish some background, Fuuta is described as “good-hearted” on the wiki page, and in the past he has stated he cares for Haruka, but usually when we see him he’s just being an asshole (or “caring” in strange ways like… offering Mahiru a tomato on her birthday???)

But in the TL since his 2023 TL with Amane and her preaching to him, we have actually seen Fuuta being OVERTLY caring. Although he may have always been good-hearted deep down, he’s always been a pretty big asshole on the surface so it’s still a massive change for him.

Putting these two TLs side by side, we can also see his tone has visibly changed - he’s referring to Mahiru by name (I don’t think he’s ever done so before in any TL 😭), and he’s a lot more hesitant, soft spoken, and thoughtful.

I think his mannerisms stem partly from Amane’s influence, but also from the remnants of his desire to act as a “hero”. With those combined, Fuuta is likely letting his kinder side show more often as a means for “salvation” - namely being forgiven, essentially “repenting for his sins”. 

Now, what happens now that he IS forgiven? Fuuta’s primary symbol is fire, which can be likened to his strong beliefs. In T2 this “fire” in him is slowly withering out, yet also being replaced by… whatever this new “salvation” thing is. The purpose of the voting in Trial 1 and 2 is to affirm/deny the prisoner’s beliefs, so this new fire - his new beliefs - are being metaphorically reignited.

That’s where the phoenix symbolism comes in. We also see him literally burning to ashes in Backdraft, potentially representing the death of his former self.

And what rises from the ashes? The phoenix, obviously! Phoenixes are known to resurrect themselves after death, in some interpretations dying by their own fire, bearing similarities to Fuuta being burnt by his own “fire” in Backdraft. With his forgiven vote, a new kind of fire may be ignited within him hence the rebirth of the phoenix.

This is a stretch, but fun fact: the Chinese phoenix, mostly used in Eastern mythology, is denoted by the characters 鳳凰 (Fènghuáng) with etymology related to the character for wind… which happens to be in the Kanji for Fuuta’s name (風汰 or Fēngtài in Chinese pinyin).

Phoenixes are also like angels but with fire. This isn’t a well-researched point, it’s just that Amane has angel symbolism/wings in Magic and wings combined with Fuuta’s fire symbolism is just a phoenix. Yeah.

With all that being said… Happy birthday, Fuuta. Today is certainly a good day to be reborn.

Hi!! Ive read a couple of your posts abt your salvation au and holy sHIT its so interesting and intriguing!! While i still dont fully understand the differences between ur au and canon, ive noticed that salvation/nun!velvet is the one (literally) preaching about, obviously, salvation when in canon, thats charlies job (and shes vv legit abt it and genuinely succeeded, pentious my beloved)

So i gotta ask, would charlie and her hotel still exist? If it does, does it also offer their own version of salvation similar to velvettes cult? Whats the differences between the hotel and the cult? Their respective salvations? What kind of dynamic do they have?

If it doesnt, how does velvette replacing charlies hotel affect hell? Whats the ramifications of that?

- Charlie seeks to give salvation to her people via opening the Salvation Hotel to serve as a paradise for everyone. Sinners are cautious and are uneasy about the offer, but it seems to get a boost in publicity after a certain television overlord promotes her services.

Differences between the Hotel and Velvette's Cult

- Charlie's salvation follows the definition of; preservation or deliverance from harm, ruin, or loss. Similar to canon, the hotel serves as a way of protecting sinners from extermination. It’s supposed to be a safe haven and a paradise for everyone.

The Hotel has elements from Earth that would make anyone very nostalgic, and seeing something that reminds them of our time of being alive, especially if they've been dead for so long, it is their salvation.

Meanwhile, Velvette is a lot more malicious. She claims she can offer sinners salvation, but their only definitive proof is their fellow vee, Vox, who has disappeared for over seven years. Velvette's cult actively makes their own followers indulge in sin, saying that eventually, when the time comes, their sins will be forgiven, and we will all be saved from damnation.

And they believe her willingly, unknown to the fact that now their souls have been sold, which strips them away of their change of ascending to heaven.

Synopsis: HCs of Shidou Kirisaki treating reader like a princess (Looking after/ taking care of reader), both platonic and romantic. Word Count: 868 Genre: Hurt/Comfort Reader: GN (no pronouns mentioned), Prisoner in MILGRAM Spoilers/Warnings?: Mention of Shidou wanting to 'die'. Also not really what the request wanted it to be? (reader being treated like princess) but I tried my best to make it work with the other ideas I had while writing for this, so hopefully this isn't an issue! a/n: Omg first request hi!!! I wasn't sure what writing format you wanted so I decided to do some small HCs instead, and made the reader GN + a prisoner too ⎯ also wasn't sure if you meant platonically or romantically, so i just went with both!! And as for my opinion on Shidou ??🧐 Hmm, I do find him interesting just like the rest but I'm not too deep on knowing his character? Other than his murder and how he wants the guilty verdict. But if you're wondering if I see him as innocent, then yes I do ⎯ since theres obvious guilt he has for actions, I do believe he can be forgiven and given a second chance in life after MILGRAM... Joining MILGRAM was everyones' concern right now as they wondered how they even ended up here, and how they'll get out.

Shidou, however, seemed to be the more relaxed and composed one out of everyone here ⎯ not really saying much and keeping to himself, but he does go out of his way to make sure everyone is calm and not too anxious about the situation.

Even going as far as to do daily checkups to make sure nothing out of the ordinary is happening.

But as time flies for ... however long you've been here, Shidou began to notice how antsy you were getting. Eyeing everyone from afar and pacing around a lot when you think no one is looking ⎯ when in reality, he was always watching over you while you do this. Noting down your behavior in a little notepad he had asked Es for.

And when the time finally came where he confronted you about it, you just... Broke down in front of him. Saying it was all too much and that you were scared you'll be in here for your entire life.

Which made Shidou do his best to comfort you in a sensible, but comforting way a doctor was suppose to do, but he was having hard time grasping on what you meant. Or more so, the feeling of being afraid? Since he didn't really care about what happens to him, in fact he hopes to die here soon so he'd atone for his 'sins'. But seeing how effected you were of the situation, made him think otherwise... Only a little bit though.

Taking you by the hand, he leads you over to his cell for a private one on one session with him ⎯ to discuss more on the matter on how he could help you in any way.

However long you wanted to talk with him, he's always free to listen to your woes. Taking more notes with every session, and even noting down advices on how to make things a little better for you here.

But only just now mentioning this, he is a doctor. Just a doctor, that has no real experience in psychology whatsoever ⎯ so it's a first for him, just like you (if this is your first time having a therapy session), to talk and discuss about such heavily emotions.

And if he could, depending on the circumstances of your situation, he'd prescribe you with medication that could help you.

ೃ⁀➷ PLATONIC AND/OR ROMANTIC

But pushing all of that nonsense aside, let's talk about how he treats you like a 'princess'.

I think it'd start around the first few sessions with him, where he looks over in your direction to make sure you were doing alright.

But then later on, he'd come walking over to ask how's your day been, and if you were doing okay. Patting your head when you reply, in a praising way or in a comforting way ⎯ which ever it is you want, he'd gladly give it to you.

And oddly enough though, I do see him being the type to play with your hair?? Absentmindedly ruffling it up ⎯ or if you have long hair, he'd plait it into braids.

Being silent the whole time while he plays with it, and occasionally making small comments to fill in the silence when he thinks it's necessary to.

Another thing is linking his fingers with yours, when you're standing next to each other or sitting together while talking with the others. He'd graze his fingertips against yours ⎯ before linking them up. It's a small, silent gesture he does whenever he feels as though the conversation is getting a bit too overbearing or intense for you, or when he notices you slowly becoming uncomfortable and fidgeting a whole lot. But it's sweet nonetheless.

Shidou is also a man of few words mind you, but as mentioned earlier, he'd talk to you about your problems. And if you ever have the courage to confine in him about your murder(s)... I'd say he'd be flattered, but would be unsure on what to say after hearing about it.

Maybe opening up to you about his? Only slightly though ⎯ but not really mentioning the part where he hopes to get a guilty verdict, as to not make you worry for him.

But If you do somehow manage to find out about it though, say from someone else (for example: Kazui), Shidou really wouldn't know what to say to you if you try to convince him otherwise.

Sure, he might say something logical to counter your words towards him ⎯ but it'd feel like he's talking to a brick wall, from how persistent you are to get him to not throw away his life so easily.

But... He wouldn't really put up a fight for long. Not fully agreeing to what you say to him, but understanding how you feel after finding out about it.

It'll take some time for him to truly understand how you feel though, as he still believes he deserves to die for what he's done. But with some talks with him, and getting him to understand, perhaps he will start to change his views.

You said Inej right? Because that is an interesting idea 👀 I see why because she did get injured/in bad situations a lot throughout the series in particular.

I voted for Jesper when though apparently Leigh said she wouldn't kill Wesper (thank god) but I'm thinking maybe recovering from his addiction or something with his impulsiveness would be his downfall. There would also be a lot of irony if he died protecting one of his friends/using his powers because of his Mom.

Who my favorite weak hero character is? Honestly you've stumped me, all the characters in weak hero are good and so well written 😭

But if I had to choose one, based on my bias, it would be wolf. This guy is f***ing awful and has like zero morals so far but goddamn is he hot!! His face, his attitude its just so attractive. Although if I met a guy like him in real life?? No. Nuh uh. This kind of character looks good in fiction only.

If I had to get critical about my favorite? Then I'd pick....I can't pick one 😅

My top 3, in no specific order, would be Gray, Donald and Jake. Yes I know, very generic, but they are just so well written!!!

I've talked a LOT about Donald in my previous posts. He's like a typical, well written "villain". He does awful things which are absolutely unacceptable but he was driven to the edge by the society and the short stick he pulled by being born in an awful family. We can sympathize with him but then we also gotta question whether his sins can be forgiven or not. It's so conflicting. I love it.

Gray is probably one of best written protagonists I've ever read or watched. He was, from the very beginning, so fun to watch. He isn't like some other protagonists who I just want to choke through the screen because of some stupid decision they made. His growth has been fantastic. His reasons and actions make sense. This is probably the first time that I've had the mc of any media in my top 3.

As for Jake, I love this boy. If I had to bring my bias in this critical analysis, then I'd say my favorite is Jake. 1) So hot. 2) So cute. 3) So well written. He's like, a mix between Donald, Gray and Ben. He does awful things like Donald but he has no other choice because he has a favor to return. He's just so kind. He's doing all this because he had to get a revenge for his brother and didn't want to involve his friends in his issues.

I'm sure at some point, he might've regretted doing what he did. His story is just so similar to Gray's. Gray got lucky that his opponents weren't too difficult to deal with. While in Jake's case, he'd be putting his family, his friends and himself in a lot of trouble if he just barged in and beat a whole gang up alone. This is why I think that Jake and Gray could get along so well, if only they could talk once.

After writing my thoughts down, I can happily conclude that my favorite WH character is Jake 😄 he's just..everything..good and bad..

As for my favorite manhwa and anime? Imma make this short cuz I'm sure you didn't ask for a f***ing essay (why can't I just name my favorites like a normal person...)

Anyway my favorite manhwa rn (excluding WH) would be Omnicient reader or teenage mercenary. Yes, generic, I know, but they're just so good. My favorite aspect of Any story are the characters. ORV has great characters and fantastic world building. TM has amazing characters too. So yeah. Oh and I also love Tower of God.

As for anime? Rn I'm in love with AOT, Black Clover and jjk. So so so mainstream but it is what it is ig 😅

I don't read Mangas but if I did my favorite would probably be black clover or MHA.

How can i say this,

1. Nandyan sila, malungkot ka man o masaya

Unfair naman kasi kung nakikita ka nilang tumatawa ka pero hindi mo ina-allow na makita nilang umiyak ka.

Alam niyo ugali ko din 'yan, i isolate myself a lot kasi naging comfort zone ko na eh, takot ako makita nilang malungkot kasi i am known as a funny person. But i learned na hindi naman purke umiyak mahina na agad. Minsan, umiiyak tayo hindi para ma solve 'yung problem (wala naman kasing formula diba?? Haha) kundi para maka release tayo.

But i also found it grace kasi minsan sa sobrang hyper ko, nagiging insensitive ako. And ayon ang gusto kong i point.

Value those people na nakikitaan ka ng mali pero willing kang mag grow. Hindi ka hahayaan sa place or situation na mapapahiya ka dahil sa ginagawa mo.

It takes a lot of humility para aminin na mali ka alam ko 'yan, but it also teaches us to open our heart for the new learnings na pwede nating ikalago. Payag ka bang ganyan ka na forever? Hello, you are more than that.

3. Nandyan sila in different season

Ang sakit kaya kapag kaibigan ka lang nila kapag may pera ka. O 'di kaya naman nandyan lang sila kapag kailangan ka nila, kapag magagamit ka nila.

I've been there ih, a lot of times na-feel kong sobrang naapakan ang pagkatao ko dahil lang akala ko kapag nag put ka ng so much effort, babalik sayo. Kapag nag mahal ka, mamahalin ka din (*plays Eme by Moira* 🥲)

Kidding aside, nakakawasak ng puso na kapag 'yung mga taong akala mong tutulong sayo ay sila pa mismo ang hahatak sayo pababa (ay wait, baka isipin niyo may imaginary haters ako ha 😭 testimony kasi, and sana one day God will allow me to share it to everyone)

Kaya value those people who stay with you through ups and down. 'yung tipong pinag pe-pray ka sa mga times na hindi mo kayang ipagpray ang sarili mo. 'yung mga moments na kaya mo maging totoo sa sarili mo kasi hindi ka takot na mahusgahan. 'yung mga time na you are able to cry out loud nang hindi ka nahihiya.

Kasi you know deep down in your heart na totoo sila sayo, and they have Jesus in their hearts too. Sarap kaya sa feeling na may kasama kang mag pray kapag hindi ka crinush back ng crush mo (kimmy 🤣)

Naalala ko 'yung story sa bible ng paralyzed man. (Mark 2.1-17) since hindi nga siya makalakad, 'yung mga friends niya ang bumuhat sa kaniya kahit napakaraming tao ang nakapalibot kay Jesus that moment, 'yung mga friends niya ang gumawa ng paraan para mapansin sila. And the moment Jesus noticed them, sabi Niya "Son, your sins are forgiven" at nakalakad siya, hindi dahil sa faith na mayroon siya kundi dahil sa dedication ng friends niya na mapagaling siya.

And we need that kind of friends too.

Those friends that has faith na mas malalim pa sayo

Those friends who are willing to do everything just to help you

Those friends that encourage you when you feel down

Those friends that stays through ups and downs, and help you bloom in different seasons.

LMAOOO no ur so right though. the fact that they just kinda shoved them down our throats again in season 6 made my fucking skin crawl 😭😭😭 as if their presence in season 4 wasnt bad enough. plus it pissed me off that it seemed like they were so... easily forgiven? alongside chimney's dad and the whole annoying narrative of "its your responsibility to fix your relationship with your parents that traumatized you so that your kids can have a relationship with their grandparents" like lmao thats not how it works. but ok (i also think eddie's parents got off way too easy too considering the things they've done & said but this show is allergic to ppl not wanting relationships with their parents for valid reasons i guess)

like chimney already has parents that love him. the Lees. or did we forget and decide that the hans must suddenly be absolved of all sins. hello ? i have so many questions about the season 6 writing choices

plus i think an episode where maddie and buck deal w/ their parents deaths and the lack of closure could have been a good arc for them? like a parallel to their relationship in buck begins and the "we always had each other" line or something. WE CAN MAKE IT WORK 👏

but if i have to see margaret and phillip again in s7 i dont know what im gonna do. scream probably. maddie may want them in jee-yun's life but i dont </3

Note to self, never start the first book in a series if BOOK 2 is yet to have been released😭 Like what the actual hell. This book was genuinely so good??? And it has all my favorite tropes? Put me in the game coach! This is my first book by this author and honestly I might be a fan for life now. Y'all should by now that I love a good bully-verse book, especially one that has an inexperienced MMC,👩🏾‍🍳😘. This book gave me Harry Potter vibes, but like, if it was rated R. Alana is everything I could have ever wanted in a FMC. She's a magic wielding badass (at least in my eyes), who was dealt a a rather shitty hand in life. Her mom has spent her entire life strung out on drugs, and eventually kicks Alana and her younger sister AJ to the curb for some man. Alana is willing to do anything, and I mean anything y'all, to give AJ the life she deserves. Even if that means attending one of the bougiest and most prestigious magical colleges out there, or partaking in a lil light sex work. Enter 'The Sons of Sacred Hill', also known as Alana's former best friends/the loves of her life, who just so happen to be engaged to the university's biggest bitc.....I mean witches.....The boys, along with their loser fiancés, are determined to make Alana's life a living hell, as if they haven't been doing that for the past 2 years anyways🙄 Throw in 2 more hot as sin men and we've got ourselves a harem baby! As for the sons, honestly, I'm not sure how I feel about them? On one hand, I get it, but on the other.....THEY SUCK. Definitely not enough groveling IMO. Hence why I docked a star. There's nothing worse than watching our heroine's men torment and bully her for TWO YEARS, only to be forgiven after a near death experience and a half-hearted apology. I said what I said. As for the two NON-sacred hill sons, hot as ever. Absolutely love them. I like my men dark, brooding, and slightly unhinged, SUE ME. As for the spice, I'd give it a solid 🌶️🌶️🌶️/5. The story could have used a little more, but given the length (~270 pages), it makes sense. Which brings me to the other reason I docked a star, this story was just too short! Things took off right from the start and they never really slowed down, which is great, but towards the end things just started to feel a little rushed. The last 50 pages sort of felt like one big info/action dump, which I think could have easily been avoided by adding another 50 pages. Things end on a bit of cliffy, but honestly it could have been worse🤷🏾‍♀️My biggest issue is that THIS SERIES SEEMS TO HAVE BEEN FORGOTTEN. As in, are we sure we're still getting a book 2??? I need answers! But until then, you can find me crying in the corner of my room.

You weren't supposed to be here.

You knew that, your so-called family knew that, your backstabbing ex knew that, everyone in the prison knew too, but no one gave a damn. They most certainly didn't throw you a bone once the judge slammed her hammer down and sentenced you to twenty years either.

You were alone, broke, with no one in the outside world to interact with or help you. You were flying blind in this corrupt hellhole where everyone saw you as easy pickings for food and "solids". You were sick of it. Every night you slunk back into your cell with new bruises and targets on your back. Every. Single. Night. You just wanted to die.

You didn't expect the prisons church and priest to be any different. Probably just another guy looking for some quick cash spouting crap about heaven or whatever, but you didn't have anything else to do for the morning. It was a reluctant "might as well" on your prison bucket list.

You sat down in one of the farthest pews. There wasn't much of a crowd today, or any day you guessed. Maybe you and four others, with a blond in a gaudy paisley decorated suit in the front. The pews were rough wood that was uncomfortable on your ass, but you did your best to ignore the stinging bites at your skin.

Let's just get this over with, it came out as a sigh rather than a real sentence.

Creepy organ piano music lulled through the room as you all waited patiently for the priest to arrive. It was getting nerve-wracking. You couldn't call yourself a religious person. Although, your family had gone to a few Christan churches during your childhood. Was a Catholic church any different? Oh God, were they going to make you stand up and sing?

No, hopefully not. The organ panned out, and the restless conversation between goers died down. With hands in your laps, they all quieted down for the priest... Ah, there he was.

...

Oh. Oh wow.

What was the least creepy way you could have said that this priest– this man before you had the appearance of a literal angel?

With beautiful skin, the purest white hair that reached down into facial hair, and golden trimmed robes. He was beautiful. Enough to even make you do a double take.

He walked out purposefully onto the stage before you all, expensive shoes softly clacking against the wood. To his podium to settle behind his open book of scripture. He welcomed you all in a voice like melted chocolate that poured down from above to cover you completely, so sweet and warm on the ear. He was Father Pucci, and he began his sermon.

The Father's words touched you like none other. His melodic voice echoed the slightest bit in the room but that only made his words reverberate inside you worse. That morning he spoke on forgiveness and sin. It was a well know piece of the bible, how Jesus died for our sins so the people could be forgiven in the eyes of God. Father Pucci told you that you too could be forgiven, if you gave yourself to God for redemption. Your heart felt like it skipped once his soft eyes fell to you. It was like the priest was talking to you directly. You felt connected to this man in someway. Those eyes... They were, if not more then, just as beautiful as the rest of him. Dark onyx hues with crossing highlights, like nothing you'd ever seen before.

It was a quick service. Father Pucci finally closed his book, carefully, and with a bow thanked the people for coming. "I hope to see you all at next week's services." His smile was small, cute, and pleasant to look at. "If any of you wish to stay behind to help clean up the church, it's greatly appreciated. Have a great rest of the day." And he left behind the stage curtains with a final bow, leaving only you left starstruck on your pew. The men and women leaving the church were paid no attention from you as this priest's soul left you stunned.

His words seemed to ring with truth, it didn't feel at all like he was lying to you, like he really did care about the wayward souls in this prison. It was... Enlightening. Your heart ached, you wanted to know more about this priest and what he does.

He... He said he needed help cleaning the church, right? Shit, you might be worthless but you could damn well carry a broom!

You peaked behind those heavy curtains to find the priest. He was setting aside his bible and turned once he realized he wasn't alone. He smiled. And god, that smile seemed to brighten everything around him.

"Good evening. What can I do for you?"

"I... I, uh." Tongue tied. Shit, did you really need to act tongue tied right now? Swallowing, you tried again. "I was at the service. You...You said you needed help cleaning the church after hours... and I wanted to help. If that's okay, I-I wouldn't want to get in your way." It was habit to make yourself a smaller target after speaking. Even in childhood you were always fearful of angering your elders. It didn't help that this man was towering even bent down with eyes that stabbed.

But as he turned to meet your eyes, you saw that he held no poison. He looked so positively overjoyed to hear you offering your time to him. His smile... Oh, it looked so sweet hanging on his lips.

"Wonderful! I'm so glad to have you here. Might I ask for your name?"

You gave it to him, albeit nervously. It was strange how sweetly he talked to you. The priest shocked you farther by taking your hands in his. You couldn't help but notice how soft and warm they were. Strong, but gentle, and... Big. What was wrong with you?

"Y/n... I'm so glad to have you here, devoting your time to the church. Lately it's only been me and my siblings cleaning up back here, but I know having you with us, it'll go by much more smoothly! Let me show you around."

His words were just so sweet. It was a strange feeling to have such sweet things said to you. Any time he said your name your heart did another flip in your chest. In became normal to hide away in the church during every day of the week. The guards caught on to your new relationship with the priest, and left you alone... You were still an easy target for your cellmate and other prisoners, but you could look over that. Maybe... Maybe powering through their bullying and threats was worth it if you got to come back to Father Pucci every day, see him so happy and hear his sweet voice.

Yes, yes it was.

It was nearing your second week of donating your time to the Father and his two siblings. They both had left earlier, and that left you alone with the priest.

Not that you though about it a lot.

No, you wouldn't let these growing feelings show, as much as you cared for him, you couldn't let him know. The church came first to Pucci, you knew this, so you reminded yourself everyday. Even if it kept your mind occupied most of the time and got you in trouble.

"Ow."

You dropped the the candelabra you were dusting gently back on it's table. Shit. Shit shit shit. That's a lot of blood for such a small cut. Your pathetic sound of pain got Pucci's attention. He stood from what he was cleaning off the floor to check on you, worriedly calling your name. "Are you alright?"

Don't take his attention from the church. You reminded yourself. Church is more important.

"Y-Yes, everything is fine. Just go back to your work, I'll take care of this."

"Y/n, you don't sound well, you hurt yourself again, is that it?"

"'s just a cut, I'll get it fixed."

Oh, okay. He's guiding you to a sink now. This is okay.

Pucci took one look at your palm and shook his head.

He gently placed it under running water. It stung your open wound, and the only way Pucci could console it was a gentle squeeze to your wrist. There wasn't much he could do right then, he cleaned the wound and wrapped your hand up in gauze. He was as gentle as ever with you in that moment. The heat of his hands on your skin left you feeling warm in the face, but hopefully the shadows of the building were enough to hide it.

"There," He smiled softly and slowly rubbed his thumb along his work. "It isn't the best, so I think you should go to the hospital wing to get it checked on when you can. You're dismissed for the day."

"B-But– it's not that serious! Really, I wanna stay here with you!"

Pucci looked exasperated, "Truly, I admire your tenacity, but your health is much more important than this dusty old building, I can take it from here. Please don't worry." He wouldn't didn't let you speak up again, he stood you up and now led you to the exit. You felt miserable, like a berated puppy being lead outside. And yet, your pulse kicked into overdrive at what he said. "Your health is much more important.".... Was it heresy to think this priest cared about you more than the church?

"Thank you, Father."

Pucci tsked from behind you. He lead you out but didn't push you away. You both stood in the exit, his hand still around your shoulders and holding your wounded paw. "What did I say... About calling me that,"

He took your hand up to his lips, it felt like your heart stopped in that moment. His lips ghosted over the gauze over your palm like he was kissing your cut. His lips... Plump and so very pretty moved against the cloth as he spoke. "I want you to call me Enrico when we're not at the lecture. That's my name, I'm your friend first and priest second." His lips curled into a smile against your palm. Sweet with hints of something evil as your cheeks heated up. This man surely knew what he was doing to you. He didn't let you go even as you squirmed in his arms, flustered and just wanting to hide in a hole.

Your fighting stoped as Enrico moved your hand away and kissed your cheek. Quick and simple. Surely, if you were any weaker you would have melted into the ground. Only then did Pucci let you out of his arms, asking you kindly to head immediately to the hospital wing. Dazedly, you agreed and scurried away like a zombie on a leash.

He kissed you. The priest– Enrico just kissed you. Twice! Was there something you weren't seeing?

You checked over your shoulder where he stood. He was still looking at you... Once his eyes met yours, he gave you a smile and wave before heading back. Your heart still thrummed against your chest at his every move. Maybe some things weren't meant to change. But maybe... Just maybe you did mean more to Enrico then you originally thought. Now that wasn't a bad idea.
