I noticed that certain Disney cartoons don't have their main ship/couple kiss until the 2nd season of their respective shows.
Kim kissed Ron on the cheek in Season two.
Candace and Jeremy kissed for the first time in "Summer Belongs to You", a season two one hour special.
Milo and Amanda got two kisses during MML's second season.
Luz and Amity got three extremely cute kiss scenes in the second season of The Owl House.
Why did I bring this up?
Because I hope Penny and Kareem get at least ONE (on screen) kiss in the second season of "The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder"!
If Penny could kiss two boys in the OG series...
then she should be able kiss the precious sweetheart that is Kareem Brown, something she has tried to do since his first appearance . Look at them!!
I just wanna see more of them being a cute couple so badly!

Ok but even with 'Us Again' retconning the film to be Penny's dream (Thomas fans can only wish TATMR was confirmed as such in canon for sure), The Proud Family Movie is still a really fucking weird contribution to the series' universe.
Like I haven't seen the entirety of the original Proud Family series, let alone the movie itself, but something feels kinda weirdly unrealistic about this typically evil desiring-to-take-over-the-world supervillain coming in with peanut clones.
'Says the guy watching the series with genius babies, talking pandas, other babies with superpowers and Al Roker being an evil genie.' I hear you cry, but yeah, the more supernatural aspects are few and far between and don't have as major an affect on the world as say actual racism. Not to mention some cartoony aspects and visual gags only really come in for comedic exaggeration because... well... it is still a comedic cartoon.
Anyway, this might change as I continue with the original before season 3 of Prouder and Louder comes around, but for now, thanks for coming to my TED Talk.

In crossover of Steven Universe, The Proud Family, and The Proud Family Louder and Prouder. The Off-Colors are a group of Gems that once resided on Homeworld in secrecy, mainly to hide from other Gems as they feared they would be shattered. Upon discovery by the Crystal Gems, they were brought back to Earth and currently reside in the Barn House.
Members
Fluorite - Fluorite is the leader of the Off-Colors, and a Perma-Fusion made up of Anatase, Lavender Sapphire, the Peridot Trio, and Red Pearl, making her a Mega-Fusion.
Rhodonite - Rhodonite, like Fluorite, is also a perma fusion of Lavi and Button. Both Gems found they like fusion, but their leader Morganite had them "replaced", and they had to hide away.
Padparadscha - Padparadscha is a rare example of a Sapphire, but unable to see into the future, and can only predict things that recently occurred. She is often seen riding Fluorite around.
Rutile Twins - The Rutile Twins, like Fulgurite, are an example of two Rutile Gems that "came out wrong", and that they only were able to survive because other Gems ran away from them, too scared.
Tiger's Eye - presumably the newest member of the group, she is the result of a Tiger's Eye gemstone being planted into the ground with some Lapis Lazuli, and as such inherited their DNA and becoming a Hybrid Gem. She is the bravest of the group.

DTVA/DTS TAGTEAM TWEET-ATHON MOVIE #59: THE PROUD FAMILY MOVIE (2005)
We’ve now watched more movies in this marathon than the WDAS marathon. As for the movie itself....it’s really weird.
I didn’t watch The Proud Family...but I’m pretty sure there weren’t many peanut monsters. Not complaining though.
I think this is a franchise that really thrives off of character. All the characters have a presence to them. It’s great. I especially like Oscar’s character. Maybe it’s cuz I’ve seen the gif a lot.
The plot, as I stated, is really freaking weird, but it’s also kinda messy. It feels like two different stories fighting against each other. One story’s about a mad scientist who makes peanut monsters, and the other’s about not being as interesting as the peanut monster plot.
First impressions being what they are, I still enjoyed this movie. I probably would’ve gotten more out of it if I watched the show, but it still works as a movie without the show.
Don’t really have much to say. It’s a weird movie that I enjoyed.

Thinking about William as a metaphor for disability again. Thinking about how William got into an accident and suddenly he's watching his body rot and fall apart. How does he cope with that? How do his family and friends cope with that? Thinking about how he died, and in a way he and the people around him have to mourn that. How when you're recently disabled you might mourn the ability you've lost, and people around you might mourn because they believe they've lost something too even though you're still RIGHT THERE. Thinking about the monsters in Deadwood being attracted to the wisps and ultimately forcing him to leave home and how that reflects the world suddenly becoming inhospitable and hostile towards you overnight. How rather than making Deadwood safer for William, he had to just leave. How often the way the world treats disabled people forces them to retreat from it in some way. How William was just arguing that the Lich didn't have rights because it wasn't alive, and then finding out he's dead too. How disabled people have their disability stripped from them by people who think they'll never be disabled so why should they care. Are you listening to me

"I should've seen the signs" I feel like Stoick was basically reliving the way he lost Valka.
To him, after a lifetime of wanting nothing but to kill a dragon, Hiccup's suddenly and inexplicably changed his mind. To him, Hiccup saying he can't kill them is just like when Valka refused to and tried convincing others as well, then as a result was 'killed' by one herself.
To him, way Hiccup tossed his weapon and shield to the side then approached Hookfang while speaking about how dragons aren't what people think they are probably bares an uncomfortable resemblance to the way Valka put down her weapon and stared a dragon in the eyes and as a result was taken.
To him, attempting to do anything but preemptively defend yourself against a dragon will only end in tragedy, so he has to do anything he can to stop Hiccup before it's too late.
(And just like with Valka, he unintentionally escalated the situation by trying to protect Hiccup but only agitated the dragon, causing it to panic and react, inadvertently putting someone he loves in danger. again)
Stoick of course, wasn't acting rationally, but it makes sense when you think about how traumatizing Valka's 'death' must've been for him (and how much Hiccup reminss him of her); he watched her get taken, presumably killed, and couldn't do anything about it.
