Disneytoon: Scrooge McDuck —Aesthetic
Tumblr media
Scrooge McDuck's Character & Personality
Scrooge is a Scottish man who's "the richest duck in the world". He's Donald's miserly uncle. The business tycoon banker is also Huey, Dewey and Louie's great uncle. Scrooge earned his wealth through years of hard work, well-utilized intelligence, perseverance and extreme thriftiness. He's an adventurer and opportunist. As a treasure hunter, Scrooge has gone to exotic corners of the world in search of wealth. His expertise and lucrative business methods have put him leagues beyond his competition. Scrooge carries this reputation with pride. He has a great love for various riches. Thus, Scrooge is frugal. He goes to great lengths to spend as little money as possible. In putting much time and dedication into increasing his wealth, he's somewhat of a lone cheapskate. Cold and nearly unforgiving, Scrooge is protective of his fortune. He rarely hesitates to use violence against those who provoke his ire. As such, Scrooge is extremely mistrustful of anyone trying to enter his office. For a long time, he practically lived alone and had little contact with his family after gaining wealth. This partially plays into his bitterness. Over time, Scrooge slowly opened himself up to his four nephews and became more compassionate with them. He's still greedy, hot-tempered and an imposing figure at times. However, Scrooge is essentially good-hearted and well-meaning. He values honesty and fair play, believing great fortune should be squarely earned. While Scrooge can be selfish at times, he'll never leave someone behind in urgent need. Beyond his riches, his exploits provided valuable lessons in practical and moral sense. With age, Scrooge became wise and knowledgeable. He regularly puts this wisdom to use when raising his nephews and shows pride in their eagerness to learn the value of a dollar.

DTVA/DTS TAGTEAM TWEET-ATHON MOVIE #65: BROTHER BEAR 2 (2006)
I want you to think about this for a moment. Think about this movie. Think about it long and hard until you understand why. Spoilers! You’re never gonna stop thinking. There ain’t no why to this movie.
The idea of a Brother Bear 2 is an confounding idea in the first place. Who saw the end of the first and was demanding to know what happened next? The ending didn’t leave one thing set up a sequel. Why’d they make it?
What personality does Nita have? Why do I care about seeing her and Kenai get together? There’s nothing in this that I care about. It’s all just a bunch of corporate mandated events that were put to screen.
The movie only exists to look pretty and give Kenai a girlfriend because Iger’s wallet demanded it or something. I don’t give a crap about this movie, so I’m not gonna give any more review about this movie. It’s bad.

The Story
The story is about a young pup who just wants to feel special after his family treats him like a flea.
The story has quite a good story, some scenes do drag on though and it isn't the most original out there. But honestly, it's not that bad compared to other Disney sequels.
The Characters
The two main characters are great. You really feel sorry for Patch because his own family forgets about him, doesn't feed him and overall don't really care for him at all. Heck, the parents treat the other puppies better than their own son!
And speaking of Patch's family, they are REALLY unlikeable. They don't listen to him, they don't make sure that all the pups are fed equally and they don't tell the other pups off when they're making fun of Patch. Basically, think of the most stereotypical dysfunctional family you can think of. You just want Cruella De'Vil to make them into a fur coat every time you see them!
Thunderbolt is definitely my favourite character. You think (considering this is a Disney sequel) that he is going to be a jerk and be the main villain of the film. Thank goodness this film doesn't take that route. He is a generally a really likeable character and I can easily relate to him and he has an understandable reason why he lied to Patch.
Cruella De'Vil is definitely forced into this movie. Okay, her plotline is funny, for only five minutes. Then it gets tiresome and she doesn't have any real significance till the last few minutes of the film. Why couldn't we just of stocked with the new villain. We got barely any time with him and he could of been funny if he had more screen time instead of the bitch from the last film! (See what I did there?)
The Animation/Special Effects
The animation is just okay. The animation on the characters are very smooth, but the backgrounds look dull and sometimes the animation looks like a flash animation from the Internet. (Did they have flash animation back then?)
Final Thoughts
Overall, this is another Disney Sequel that I think is better than the original film. The other film being Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World. While I prefer that film over this one, this film is definitely one you should pick up for your little pups!

Overall 3.5/5

Quick ramble about The Tigger Movie (2000)!!
It’s the little things in animation that make all the difference! Take this scene from The Tigger Movie for example! Not only do I love it for reasons ™️ but I also love the facial animation on these characters! And it’s more noticeable and has much more variety by looking at it through each frame that makes it stand out!
Here in this clip we can see Rabbit slowly back up as Tigger approaches him but quickly warms up and it’s subtle but his ears get more straight and less bent before Tigger leaped into the hug. The noticeable change into a smile on Rabbit’s face is also there once we see him warm up! And once Tigger gives him that hug, the animation is much more quicker and fluid for that bit!
I could talk about this movie all day if I got the time but this is how I’ll start out!

Disneytoon: Baby Minnie Mouse —Aesthetic

Minnie as a Baby
Prior to Minnie dawning her famous red poka-dot dress and yellow pumps, she wore a baby pink onesie. Baby Minnie is often depicted holding a traditional stuffed bear. However, based on the mouse's blanket plushy, she has an infinity for butterflies.

DTVA/DTS TAGTEAM TWEET-ATHON MOVIE #38: THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME II (2002)
Y’know, sometimes a movie comes along that makes you ashamed to enjoy the medium. Here’s a review of Hunchback of Notre Dame II!
Who is this movie for? People who wanted a happy ending for Quasimodo? Because I hate to tell ya, but the ending of the first movie was already a much brighter ending than the source material. Any lighter and it would’ve been condescending.
Anyway, in this condescending movie, we open up in Paris a few years after the original. Since this movie is all about love, it would make sense that the town is celebrating love. Maybe they’ll call it something catchy like “Love Day”, but that’s stupid.
The filmmakers:
Tumblr media
Anyway, Quasimodo feels bad because he can’t get a date, until he meets a circus girl who was sent to scam him. She ends up actually falling in love with him because the movie wanted her too.
She was sent to scam him out of a giant bell filled with jewels on the inside. Many have remarked on the stupidity, impracticality, and lack of subtlety this bell has, so I won’t add to it.
The villain is just some pompous dick. Not memorable in the slightest, especially compared to Frollo. His plan is also idiotic, because he’s stealing the only jewel filled bell in France, so once he goes to sell it, everybody will know he did it.
The gargoyles are also back. It seems like they just choose who to talk to and who not too, just for the sake of plot convenience. Also Phoebus and Esmeralda are here. They do almost nothing, and Phoebus is inexplicably racist towards circus performers for some reason.
It really makes the least sense for his character, especially at this point in his arc. Also, they have a son now. He serves no purpose other than to sing a song, and get kidnapped. He’s also our second Haley Joel Osment appearance.
And yeah, they pretty much got the entire cast of the original movie to return for this one. It must have been a heavy payday, because even they can’t save this one. The songs they sing are just so mind-numbingly dull it makes me want to go back to doomscrolling on Twitter.
The animation just looks so off. Everything looks so oversaturated and stiff, I keep expecting the Animaniacs to appear and reveal that this was a parody all along.
Ugghhh, this is a movie that feels like it must’ve been sitting on a shelf for a few years because even Disney knew it was a stinker. (And I think it might’ve given that copyright year in the credits).
This movie feels like it was released out of obligation, and I feel like it would’ve been better if they just left the original alone.
1/10: What was the point of giving the horse a girl horse at the end? Just to prove that the fucking horse wasn’t gay? Do people really care?

Honestly I think I speak for everybody when I say that if Disney absolutely HAD to dig up their classic films, I would rather get sequels than live action remakes.
Like the straight to DVD sequals had potential and a couple of them were actually good. If they had higher budgets and more time to work on them I think that more of them would be really great.
They dug up older charecters but at the VERY LEAST had some original ideas and concepts, again preferably I would want neither but if a Disney exec put a gun to my head and asked me wether I wanted to see "live action" versions of Robin Hood, Hercules, Snow White, and Treasure Planet OR a full blown sequel, I will pick the sequals
