“What is up today my fine fellow?” Wilford asked, leaning over the couch.
JJ looked up at him and smiled. ‘Nothing more than yesterday.’
Wilford chuckled. “I know that's not true. Hosty boy let it slip that you have a crush.”
JJ blushed and looked away. ‘What gave you that idea?’
“Hosty. Now spill.”
JJ huffed. ‘So you could go and tell him. I think not. I will not be made a fool of.’
Wilford shrugged. “I just wanna see you happy. But I also have here to offer you something.”
‘What could you offer me?’
“Lessons. I am the best kisser in the mansion.”
JJ blinked. ‘Kissing?’
“Well yes I doubt you have experience with it,” Wilford said, pointing lazily at the mute.
‘Well no but-’
Wilford grabbed his hands. “Then you need help. Now there are different types of kissing. I like to categorize them as soft, small and heavy makeout.”
JJ blushed and nodded. “Honestly apples work great but it’s better if you practice on a person its-”
Wilford was interrupted when JJ kissed him quickly. Wilford squeaked and stared at JJ. ‘Like that?’
Wilford giggled and nodded. “That was good.” Wilford shook his head and grabbed JJ’s bowtie. “But that one was a bit quick I think it could have been a bit more-”
Wilford cut himself by kissing JJ. He pushed the mute back onto the couch. JJ slowly wrapped his arms around Wilford's neck and pulled him closer. The kiss was messy with Wilford's weird jaw movements and JJ’s inexperience. Wilford had to pull away every now and then to let JJ breathe before pulling him back.
Though all good things have to end. Someone coughed behind them and Wilford pulled away. “Oh hello Hosty! What's up?”
“The Host asks Warfstache what he is doing to Jameson Jackson.”
Wilford blinked and looked back to the mute who was trying to catch his breath. “Um kissing lessons?”
“The Host does not need to see the rest but he congratulates Jameson Jackson.”
JJ nodded and watched The Host walk off. “Well, I do apologize for that. Whoever your crush now has to compete with me. Obviously, I would win but still.”
JJ raised an eyebrow. ‘What on earth are you talking about?’
“For your affection of course. I’m not gonna let you get away that easily.” Wilford said with a shrug. “Now who is he?”
‘Why don't you find out for yourself.’
Wilford huffed and got off JJ. “I’ll be back later don’t you dare kiss anyone else.” Wilford called as he left the library.
JJ giggled silently and the Host walked back in. “Wilford Warfstache doesn't realize you have a crush on him?”
‘No, apparently he’s going to find the one who has captured my heart and keep them away from me.’
The Host laughed. “The Host suggested that they talk about the book Jameson Jackson recommended to him,” he said, sitting across from JJ.
‘Oh isn't it sad?’
“The Host agrees with Jameson Jackson and adds that it may have been happy in its own way.”

Word Count : a little over 4K
Tumblr media
“Are you kidding me? I’ve never felt anger like that in my life.” Emily laughed out, the rest of us entranced in her tales about the horrors of her sex life. “That’s was probably the first, but definitely not the last time I ever had to fake it.” She shrugged, and I felt my cheeks turn pink. We all sat around the fire pit at Rossi’s house after dinner, soaking in the warmth from the fire. Rossi and Hotch were inside, probably have a heart to heart about man troubles or something, and Reid was entertaining Henry and Jack showing them Magic’s tricks and ignoring any signs of the rest of the adults here.
“Well, sorry to you ladies but I can gladly say that none of my boo thangs ever had to worry about not finishing.” Morgan spoke proudly with a smile on his face. I could see on Garcia’s face how bad she wanted to make some inappropriate joke but she let it pass.
“Okay, I mean... Will is amazing. A totally sweetheart, but sometimes...” JJ groaned, leaving the rest up to our imaginations. If I remembered correctly she was actually the one who brought up the conversation. She mentioned something about her ‘mommy and daddy’ time last being a complete disaster that Will didn’t even know about.
I sat quietly listening to everyone tell their worst stories, laughing when they did and making some commentary from time to time. It was growing late and the only thing in the sky was a crescent moon that seemed to shine really bright. I was seconds away from passing out on Morgan’s shoulder as my attention suddenly was drawn to the fire. I should’ve know that eating so much pasta tonight would’ve led to a food induced coma.
“Awfully quiet tonight.” Morgan spoke, his shoulder moving my head up to get my attention. My eyes looked back up to the group whose eyes were all focused on me. I was fairly quiet tonight, but with the topic on hand I hadn’t needed to speak too much. I’ve had my fair shares of faking my orgasms with ex boyfriends, but it’s been a while since I last did anything sexual with anyone. Reid and I only began dating about 5 months ago, and while I was okay waiting for him, he just never seemed to be interested in doing anything like that. Besides the flirty comments, we never seemed to take it past the heated make out sessions whenever we could sneak them in.
“You’ve been staring off into space for like half the conversation.” Emily spoke, a bit of worry in her tone. “What’s up? No fun stories of boyfriends who couldn’t get you there?” She raised a brow and I gave a slow shrug. Of course I have stories, but none of them really worth mentioning.
“Oh no, I have tons.” I spoke, picking my head up off of Morgan’s shoulder. “No fun ones, though. None of my ex boyfriends have ever been able to get me close.” I spoke honestly. None of any of the guys I slept with in the past has ever been able to make me cum.
“Any stories of boy wonder over there?” Morgan teased and I shook my head.
“Not one.” I answered, hoping my answer would satisfy their need for gossip.
“Really?” Morgan looked surprised, looking back to the brown haired Doctor who was explained to the child how he did his last magic trick. “You’ve never had to fake it with him?” He scoffed. “He’s only had like one girlfriend before!” He wasn’t wrong. Spencer had expressed to me a few times about his lack of experience. Maybe that simple fact that he’s only ever had sex like maybe twice played a part in his abstinence. Maybe he just didn’t see me as someone he wanted to have sex with.
“Honestly,” I took in a deep breath as I realized that they were all staring back at me like I was the object of their affection. “We haven’t had-”
“Oh. My. God.” Garcia gasped, already knowing the end of my sentence. I rolled my eyes, as Morgan’s whole body shifted just to give me a look the read ‘are you really serious right now?’
“It’s not that big of a deal.” I shrug it off, minimizing the impact of the news. “Like you said, he’s had one girlfriend before. Maybe he’s just not ready yet.” I mention, relaxing my already tense body.
“It’s been 5 months.” Garcia adds.
"It's not that long of a time to be dating."
“You guys are around each other for almost like 24 hours a days every day of the week!” Emily scoffed. “You’re telling that you’ve never had sex with him before?” She asked and I shook my head .
“We don’t even talk about it really...”
Each of my team members remained silent, coming up with possible solutions to my ‘problem’. I could see it in there faces that they were just in shock. They all looked to each other, equally as confused and a bit uncomfortable as the next. Doubt flashed across their eyes as they all looked because me and the brown haired Doctor across the lawn.
“So...” Emily began “if you and Spencer haven’t had sex yet, when was the last time you did?” She asked, interrupting he silence.
“I don’t know like...” I honestly couldn’t remember the last time I had sex with anyone. “A few years maybe?”
“A FEW YEARS?!” Garcia gasped loudly, gaining the attention of the doctor from across the field who only paid attention for a second before returning to the two boys.
“Oh my god, could you be any louder?” I laughed at her obvious dismay over my absent sex life.
“If you said anything over ‘a few years’ then yeah, I probably could be.” She nodded, still very troubled over the news.
“Look, We’re both pretty busy people outside of work and obviously weee not going to do it on the job-”
“Literally that’s a terrible excuse.” Garcia shook her head, as disappointment began to form on her face. Maybe they were right. We’ve been dating for 5 months but we’ve known each other way longer. It’s not like we were complete stranger still digging to get to know the other person.
“What’s a terrible excuse?” Spencer’s voice spoke from over my shoulder, causing me to jolt slightly. Everyone’s eyes immediately focused on him as he stood there confused and left out. I didn’t even have to give them a dirty look to tell them to keep our conversation under wraps, considering it was him we were talking about.
“Y/n was just telling us how she never read any of the Harry Potter books before.” Garcia spoke quickly, everyone nodding to agree with what she said. I cursed him out in my head as he moved around the couch and sat down next to me. I then shifted my weight from Morgan to Spencer, leaning my head on his shoulder. I tried to ignore the eyes but I couldn’t, each other them staring completely unbothered on how awkward it totally was.
“Y/n doesn’t read anything that doesn’t have hot vampires who sparkle in the sun.” Spencer commented, making my mouth drop. That’s was so untrue, I read other things too... I can’t name them off the top of my head but I know I do!
“Thats so-”
"very accurate?" he finished my sentence causinf my eyes to narrow even though i wasnt looking at him.
“Actually Spence, y/n was just telling us about a headache she had!” JJ spoke up, putting on a concern face that confused the hell out of me. When did I mention I had a headache? “She’s said her head was pulsing and it felt like her brain was throbbing?” My eyes widened and I realized what she was doing.
“Yeah,” Emily spoke, nodding her head as she picked up on the silent plan they just agreed upon. “I think she needs to get home, she might have hit her head or something earlier.” Emily frowned, as if she was really concerned for my health. They each had a look of evil on their faces which, to the blind eye, could easily be mistaken for care.
“Really? That’s does sound kind of bad, maybe we should get you to the ER? It might be a concussion...” Reid spoke, and my eyes widened even more.
“Oh no, she was check by the medics earlier! She might just have a migraine.” Morgan came quickly to my rescue. God knows what I’d have to do to talk Spencer out of taking me to the ER if he thought I was hurt or injured.
“You guys a such-” I stopped myself, watching the amusement grow on their faces as the waited for me to finish my sentence. “... such angels...” I grumbled, “always looking out for me.” I hummed, narrowing my eyes at the women on the couch across from me.
“Come on, let’s get you home.” Spencer spoke, helping me stand from the couch even though I was perfectly fine.
Our fingers were intertwined as we bid farewell to our evil scheming friends. I let him lead the way back to the hous, solely so I could flick them off behind his back. Once we got close to the house, we were attacked with hugs and pleads not to leave by the touch gorgeous little boys who would just missed their uncle Spencer. After we said our goodbyes to Rossi and Hotch we headed back to his apartment. Only because I loved the smell of strong coffee and old books, and he was closer.
“You should go lay down, y/n/n. I can wake you up when it’s time to go?” He spoke sweetly, his hands on my hips as we entered his bed room. I smiled at his kindness, remembering how I promised I’d go to some late night movie with him this morning. It was showing in Russian and he was just itching to sit through 3 hours of it to translate it to me.
“I love you.” I hummed, pressing a gentle kiss to his lips, as my arm snaked around his neck in order to pull him into a hug. His movements stuttered just a bit before he returned the hug back to me.
“I love you.” He counter, squeezing me into him. “Now tell me, how many glasses have you had?” He teased.
“One.” I answered, laughing at the face he gave me when he pulled away. “Only one, I swear!” I defend myself with a smile. It wasn’t thag hard to get him to realize I was telling the truth, I wasn’t big on drinking and I’d be damned if I let myself get wine drunk.
“Y/N Y/L/N, showing affection to little old me?” He raised his eyebrows. “What did I ever do to deserve it?” He joked.
"Why wouldn’t I be affection towards my loving, sexy, intelligent, boyfriend?” I teased with a playfully frown.
"Have you met you?" He smiled from my response, his arms wrapping around me a bit tighter.
“You know... I like kissing you.” I spoke slowly, my eyes falling to his lips no matter how hard I tried to get them to stare into his sparkly green eyes which always seemed to stare right into my soul.
“I like kissing you too...” his cheeks turned pink from the compliment.
“Hugging you is pretty nice too...” I further my compliments, my voice turned sultry and smooth as I tried my best to be seductive. I never really pushed the idea of sex on him, I was too scared that he’d reject me and I’d ruin everything. Now I’m starting to think that maybe everyone was right? It’s been a long time since I had sex, and it’s probably been longer for him. And we’ve been dating for a while now... maybe now is the time? “Hugging you and kissing you is really nice.” I murmured as his lips pressed into mine once more.
“I enjoy hugging and kissing you too.” He smiled back, a bit confused but he didn’t seem to mind. His large hands moving up and down my back. Right now, in his mind I was probably just basking in him right now. In mine, I really wanted him to catch the hint that I needed him to fuck me.
Our lips pressed together again, this time sending tingles down my spine. We slowly moved back until I had Spencer on the bed, with me straddling him as our lips moved in sync. He smiled against my lips as his hands moved down to my thighs, gripping them a bit harder than usual. This was it. This was them position we ended up in every single time we made out, only this time I was hoping for somethingother than just a heated make out session. His tongue swiped at my bottom lips gaining instant access before his was in complete control.
Spencer William Red had me wrapped around his finger and didn’t even know it. It’s been 5 months, yet even before I had the privilege of being his girlfriend I would’ve done whatever he asked of me. I was and still am completely ready to be used at his disposal.
“Are you sure you’re not tired?” He mumbled against my lips, slowing the pace before things could get too heavy.
“Not at all.” I hummed, leaving one last peck on his lips. I debated on what to do for a few seconds as my eyes wondered over his beautiful face. “I- I uhm, I have a question.” My voice came out soft, and gentle which wasn’t usual. Whenever I spoke, usually it was with confidence, and had no problem talking about uncomfortable topics but this... this was a whole new world.
“What’s wrong?” I watched the content look on his face dropped into more of a frown.
“I-” my eyes got caught in his, sparkling from the dim light in his dark green painted room. “I don’t know...” I used my fingers to brush a piece of his hair before his ear. He was truly magnificent to look at, from his cheekbones to his perfect nose, everything about him was just... pretty.
“Talk to me.” He frowned further, his hands careful not to move further than where they already were.
“Do you not want to... like...” my eyes narrowed a bit watching his confusion take place. He was one of the brightest people I knew yet he was still so clueless. “...touch me?” I sounded like an insecure teenage right now, and I honestly didn’t care. This conversation could go a number of ways and I’d rather take everything right now that go another day or week or month thinking that sleeping with me was a repulsive idea to my own boyfriend.
“You- I- what?” His eyes widened, and I dropped my arms from around his neck. I would’ve gotten off of his lap, but his hands were gripping tightly on to my hips in a way that made me want to throw myself at him. “You mean like...?” Goddammit Spencer, how fucking clueless are you?
“Do you not want to have sex with me?” My face was just as soft as my tone. I could see the shock taking effect as his brain worked as quickly as it could to fully understand what was happening at the moment.
“I- uhm, I-“ he stumbled, and for a second I swore my heart broke into a thousand many pieces.
“You know... just forget it, it was a stupid question anyways-”
“No!” His voice came out strong and willful. “No I just- I wasn’t expecting that, I guess.” He explained and I nodded. “I-I- do want to... uhm... have a- sex with you, y/n.” His face was showing a variety of emotions and I’m sure mine was too. “ I just...”
“Don’t want to catch a disease?” I joked, which he apparently didn’t find very funny. I couldn’t help it though, it’s too awkward in here for my liking.
“I don’t want you-“ he stopped to think for a moment, “I don’t want you to be underwhelmed.” He explained, my mouth dropping at his confession. He was scared he wouldn’t be able to pleasure me? That’s was... horribly sweet of him. Not that I expected anything less from Spencer himself... that was just very unpredicted.
I wanted to tell him about all the past guys who never even got close to getting me off, but I don’t think that would make the situation any better. Honestly, right now, just the thought of him touching me could’ve got me off. Even if he couldn’t get me there, I’d fake it. I’d fake it really fucking good just for him because so am completely wrapped around his finger. Well, I wanted to be at least...
“I just want to be with you, Spence.” I spoke, watching the light smile form back to his lips. He was conflicted for a second before nodding his head. His light green sparkly eyes then turned dark, his pupils dilating as our faces grew closer until I could feel our breaths mixing together.
“I love you so fucking much.” He hummed, just before connecting our lips again. I felt the butterflies in my stomach going crazy as his hands moved to my face, pulling our lips together again.
He tasted like the white wine he enjoyed at dinner earlier. It was an odd choice but one I could definitely get behind, only if it was on his tongue. His signature scent of vanilla coffe and some expensive cologne swirled around in my nostrils driving me absolutely mad. My hips moved against the fabric of his pants, grinding against him releasing only a bit of tension from my own body. His hands working quickly to unbutton my jeans and blouse, exposing my black laced bra hiding underneath. I let out a tiny giggle as his back collided with the soft duvet, leaving me right on top of him, making it much easier to grind down on him.
His hands moved to my hips, guiding me right where he needed me. My hands traveled from his jaw all the way down his chest, unbuttoning what I could until I got to his belt. I gasped as my back suddenly hit the duvet, giggling again as I felt Spencer smile against my lips. Spencer struggles to carry a gun properly so, flipping us over was a very impressive move coming from him.
“Literally, just beautiful.” He mumbled on my lips before pulling away to look at me.
My cheeks burned a bright red, as I watched him study my own body. His body rested in between my legs, and his hands slowly traced over my skin. He sent me a sweet smile, and I thought of 100 jokes I could make right now but I figured it wasn’t the moment. I lift my hips as he tugged off my jeans and shirt tossing it somewhere across the room, ditching his own shirt. Now I was laying naked, waiting for him to touch me, well, everywhere. My eyes caught onto the faint six pack that’s always hidden under his own shirts, and I swear if I could I’d stare at it forever.
“Like what you see?” I teased, watching a smile spread to his lips as he rolled his eyes.
“Kinda, yeah.” He nodded, bringing his forehead down to rest on mine. His hands moved to my side, taking his heavy grip on them. My leg propped up on his side, giving him a bit more room to work.
“Kinda?” I raised an eyebrow at the reply and he shrugged. My breathing halted at the feeling of his hand playing at the band of me black panties.
“I’m sure I’d like it much better, if you had nothing on at all.” I felt my stomach go into full on cartwheel as his hand slipped under the band of my panties. His lips pressed a light kiss to my forehead, before he went down to my neck. The heat from his hand hovering above me sent the most explicit images to my head. Every time my hips bucked into his hands, his lips found a spot to suck and nip at earning light moans.
“Please Spence.” I whimper, feeling his lips curl into a smile against my neck. He pressed some more antagonizingly slow soft kisses as he made his way back to my lips. He hovered for a second before our lips were moving again, his lips muting the sounds of my moans from his finger circling around my clit.
“Shit.” He muttered against my lips, as he ran his finger up my soaked slit, teasing my entrance just enough to collect just juices on his fingers. My hips grind up into his hand, begging for more of him.
His fingers sped up as he massaged my clit, sending a deep tingle throughout my body. He pulled apart from our kiss, and I released a loud moan. His fingers already finding their way into me, curling to touched that right spot inside of me. My hands grip at the sheets and pillows as he begins to pump in and out of me. I felt the tension in my stomach tightening as he brought my closer to where I was so desperately needing to be. He left a trail of sweet kisses down my body until he reached the band of my panties.
“Oh fuck-” I moaned out, catching a glimpse of what he was doing to me in the body mirror across the room. I could see my panties pushed to the side as his fingers fucked into me faster by the minute. I could’ve came at the sight right there, but picked up on where I was looking. His head turned to the mirror watching as I squirm under he touched when he pushed into me a bit harder than before. He sent me a devious smirk before turning back to his current project. “Oh my fuck- right there Spence- god!” I moaned loudly as I felt his tongue lapping up my slick, playing with my clit as he sped the pace of his fingers. My back arched off the bed as the euphoric high of the orgasm I was about to reach shot through me.
“Cum for me, Angel.” He murmured against me, sending a vibration right to my clit. Without warning I spilled everything on his fingers. I let out another string of curses as he removed his fingers only to replace his digits with his tongue, sucking everything out of me.
“You taste even better than you look right now.” He hummed, as he sucked my juice from his fingers. I put on a lazy smile, as my arms wrapped right back around his neck. He brought his lips down to me, giving me a good taste of myself.
“So pretty damn good?” I joke, earning a tickle at my sides. “My turn?” I prepared myself to be flip over again but instead I was hold down in place by the brown haired man.
“Normally I wouldn’t object but I really want to be inside of you right now.” He commented, my eyes widened a big at his bluntness before nodding my head. He slipped off his boxers, pumping himself above me a few times. His tip grazed my clit twice earning a moan from the sensitive sensations. I could tell he was enjoying having me completely at his mercy. I was enjoying it too. “Are you Ready?” He asked and I nodded, eager to feel him inside of me.
Without another word he slid into me slowly until he bottomed out. I gasped at the stretch and sting I felt as he entered. I felt myself convulse around him, causing him to tense over me. He stayed buried in me, allowing me to adjust to his size. I had half the mind to make a joke about him being such a gentleman but I kept it to myself.
“You can move.” I he gave a nod, as he pulled out earning a light moan from my throat. For a split second a saw a flash of evil cross his eyes. There was no pretty Sparkles in his eyes, they were now fake and filled with lust as his eyes raked over me.
He slammed into me, hitting the exact spot where I needed him. He kept a fast pace, hiking my leg up to his side again hitting into me at a deeper angle. His lips attached to mine in a hungry manner, as if I was just there for his own comfort. My back was arched off the bed as I get the knot forming in my stomach threatening to come undone once more as I cried out multiple profanities in his kiss.
“Oh fuck, y/n.” He moaned out bringing me right to the edge, my walls clenching around him as he picked up the pace. I let out the loudest pornographic moan of his name as I came undone. He fucked me through the euphoria as his own thrust began to stutter.
Our breathing was heavy as he pulled out and released his load on my lower stomach. I gave him another lazy smile, seeing as I didn’t have the energy for much else. Once he as finish he collapsed on the bed next to me, pulling my body into his. I could hear his heart beat racing through his chest... or was that mine? I was sure to be 8 different types of soar in the morning, and right now I was on the verge of actually passing out.
“You’re incredible.” I breathed looking to my equally as fucked out boyfriend. His long strands of hair sticking to his sweaty forehead, driving me slightly crazy.
“I don’t think we’re going to make that movie.” He laughed, making my smile grow.
I looked to the alarm set by the bed. “It’s only 11:30, we totally make it in time.” I spoke, remembering his excitement about this film earlier in the day.
“Yeah, but I have much better things to do actually.” He mentioned with a light shrug, brushing a few strand of hair from my own sweaty forehead.
“Like?”
“You.”
I smiled at the group of agents all hovering in the bullpen, probably talking about their weekends off. It was rare we ever got a whole weekend to ourselves, so whenever we did we made sure to take full advantage of it. I mean... I certainly did.
“Morning guys.” I smiled as is at down at my desk which Morgan for some reason thought was a chair.
“Morning sunshine!” The muscular clad man greeted me with a smile. “How waa your weekend?”
“It was really good actually.” I shrugged, noticing the expecting looks I recieved from the group. I noticed Penelope coming out from her office in the corner of my eye. She caught a quick glimpse of all of us, and her senses caught on quickly before she changes her route and made her way down with a giddy smile.
“You seem happy.” She walked up with a grin on her red painted lips. “You’re not a morning person... you never smile this early.” She stated. “Did you have sex?!” She spoke right to the point, taking me by surprise.
“I- uhm... what?”
“Yes? No? Did you at least talk to him about it?” She pushed, my cheeks turning red at the questions.
“Yeah, we did talk about the whole sex thing.” I gave in, knowing eventually they were going to find out everything on their own, either from me or Reid.
“How’d it go?” JJ asked, her and Emily catching onto the conver as the two of them moved to the front of my desk.
“Am I invited to the party this time?” Rossi spoke, as he walked down from his office, joining our group cluster.
“They talked about it!” Garcia cheered to him, and his face lit up as if her was actually proud of me.
“You did not tell Rossi!” I gasped
“Yeah we did, Hotch knows too.” Emily spoke, “now, what happened after you talked about it?!” She dismissed it, in hopes to get more information.
I sat in disbelief for a good few seconds before shaking my head. I knew they lived for the office gossip, I was the same way. Things like office gossip made us feel regular, considering the crazy and gore that came with the job. In all honestly, I hadn’t minded it all that much.
“It went well...” I shrugged
“And...?” Rossi spoke, waiting for more of the story.
“How well?” JJ asked, a smirk taking over her lips. They all stared intently as they waited for me to reply.
“I mean... we had sex.” I mumbled, just loud enough for them to hear. “...a lot”
“Seriously?!?” Garcia squealed.
“I- was it- was it good? How’d did it happen?” Emily asked, and I felt the heat rushing to my cheeks.
“Uhm...” I tried to think of less descriptive words than the ones popping into my head. “It was really good... like amazing actually.” I scoffed, laughing at the noises each of them made.
“So did you actually-”
“Yup.”
“And he’s the first person to ever make you-” I raise a brow at Morgan, putting slip finger to stop him mid sentence. He honestly looked in disbelief that Reid, of all people, could satisfy me after all these years.
“I said non of my ex boyfriends.” I clarified. I watched as Emily’s smile grew impressed, and Morgan and JJs jaws dropped at the confession. Garcia simply just squealed again, and I can’t even describe the look on Rossi’s face.
“Morning guys!” Reid walked in, a bright smile on his face chasing the rest of us to giggle at his brightness. He was usually in a good mood on mondays, but this was just a whole different type of mood. I had my ideas on why, but I didn’t have to say them out loud.
“Morning loverboy.” Morgan smiled at the new nickname. I haven’t seen him since early early this morning. We decided to part ways, mainly because anytime we looked at each other ended up in us having sex on whatever piece of furniture or appliance was nearest. Surprisingly he didn’t even mentioned a single thing about the about of germs and bacteria we could’ve spread either. Reid gave us all a wide smile before he walked up to my desk. He leaned down to height, placing a stern yet soft kiss to my lips. He usually went for the forehead or the nose, which all of us were aware of.
“How was your weekends?” He asked, looking to his friends happily.
“How was yours?” Garcia smirked, as she rest her elbow on dereks should. I felt my cheek glow hot again.
“It was... really good.”
“Oh we know.” Rossi mumbled, earning a dirty glare from me as my jaw dropped a little bit. The old man sent me a innocent smile a shrug, before Reid caught on.
“You know...” he spoke, giving me the same right lip smile he does when he really doesn’t know what to say.
“They know we had sex.” I spoke quickly, and his eyes widen a bit as he finally realized.
“Oh.” He spoke, fixing the satchel on his shoulder. Spencer was never very public with past romances, so I don’t know how he’d react to this. “I mean... I had sex with my girlfriend, what’s the big deal.” He shrugged, not seeming to mind too much. My eyes widened a bit, as I felt his arm snake around my waist pulling me into his side.
“You know what?” Rossi spoke, standing from his seat. “He’s right. He’s an adult, as are we. So stop acting like a bunch of children!” He scolded the group of adults hanging around us like a bunch of lost puppies. I smiled and nodded agreeing with the man. Reid gave him a thankful smile, before pressing another kiss to my cheek and going to his own desk.
Rossi stood in front of me as he watched the other back off, with eye rolls and huffs.
“Did you at least use protection?” Rossi teased, but for some reason thag caught my attention. Our attention. Sudden flashes from all the events that took place over these last few days flooded our minds at the exact same time. My body stiffened for a second before I grabbed the files stacked up on my desk to work from home. We hadn’t used a single condom all weekend. Everyone’s eyes were wide and I moved quickly, scrapping everything into my arms before I looked to Reid with an equally as fesrful look on his face.
“Text if you need anything.” I mumbled before practically running out of the office with Spencer close on my heels.
We were totally screwed

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“So Rossi needs a headcount for how many people are coming over tonight. He said he hasn’t heard back from only you, Bridge.”
JJ says, joining Bridgett and Garcia gossiping at Bridgett’s desk.
“Oh yeah sorry, I was kinda waiting to hear from… this guy I’m bringing along tonight.”
Both of the girls eyes get wide, staring at Bridgett.
“You’re bringing someone? Who is he?! I need to know everything, now.” Penelope squeals, leaning back in her chair.
Bridgett laughs, knowing that this was going to be the hot topic of the day.
“It’s this guy I’ve been dating for like 2 weeks. His name is Angel.”
“Okay, okay, Angel. Angel and Bridgett… Bridgett and Angel. Doesn’t necessarily roll off the tongue but keep going.” Penelope says.
“I met him at the coffee shop by my apartment. It was that one morning Hotch needed us to come in at like 6am so I grabbed some coffee and they were getting a delivery while I was waiting and the delivery guy noticed me, I noticed him after the third time he passed me by. So I smiled at him and he stopped to talk to me on my way out. We've gone on a few dates and he’s really nice.”
“Just nice? Are you not completely into him?” JJ questions.
“I don’t know, he’s nice, and he is cute. But I don’t know it’s weird, I know you’re both going to say I’m selling myself short but he’s out of my league. Our connection is good when we’re together but I can’t help but think that maybe he’s just putting a front on. It’s all probably just in my head… right?”
“If it’s only been a few dates this is all still new. The both of you are trying to figure each other out. I wouldn’t discredit him just yet, sweetheart.” Penelope interjects, rubbing her shoulder in comfort.
JJ’s phone rings from her pocket, her groaning and leaving out the door to the elevator.
“Do you think it’s a good idea to bring another guy tonight? I’m not judging, I just don’t think that there’s *someone you didn’t think about.”
Bridgett knew who she was talking about as soon as she said it, and she was right, Bridgett didn’t think about Spencer.
“You don’t know for sure if Spence likes me, Penelope.”
“Um, Earth to madam profiler! Bridgy, the boy is beyond in love with you. You don’t see what everyone else in this office sees when you talk to him, or when someone talks about you.”
Bridgett sighs, rubbing her temple with her fingers lightly.
“What am I supposed to do? I’m genuinely asking I’m not trying to be a bitch but, am I supposed to wait, god knows how long, for him to make the first move? I don’t make the first move. Ever. That’s not me and it makes me want to physically puke even thinking about it. What if he never does it? Then what?”
“I know, beautiful, and I didn’t mean to make you question dating other people, but I just want you to think about it.”
***
Bridgett felt off the rest of the day after her talk with Garcia. She almost wanted to just call Angel and tell him that there had been a change of plans and she wasn’t going to the party anymore. But he had told her on the phone a few nights ago he had gotten a special outfit for the night.
Bridgett sits on the couch, her hair flowing down her back, makeup fresh on her face, and a dark maroon dress clinging to her body, the dress ending mid thigh. While she was staring at her phone deciding on whether or not she was going to call Angel and cancel, it starts ringing, his name appearing on screen.
“Hello?”
“Hey you, I’m on my way to come get you. I’ll be there in about 5 minutes.”
Her stomach turns, but in a good way.
“Okay. I’ll be waiting. See you in a bit.”
She slips her heels on, leaving them for the last minute knowing they were going to kill her feet by the end of the night. She paced back and forth, double and triple checking she had everything in her clutch. there’s a knock at the door in a rhythmic pattern, one that Angel frequented when he came over to pick her up. Bridgett walks to answer the door, opening it with a smile. He smiles back, handing her a single red rose.
“For you.” He smiles, kissing her cheek. Bridgett’s cheeks get warm, a nervous laugh coming from her mouth.
“Thank you. You look very handsome.”
He looked so incredibly handsome in the dark brown button up tucked into black dress pants he was wearing, everything head to toe was on point and it made her swoon a little bit.
“Are you ready to go? I’m definitely going to need directions to your coworker’s house.”
***
“This is going to sound very shallow, but how much money do FBI agents make? This house is huge.” Angel whispers to Bridgett, walking up to Rossi’s house.
“He used to work for the FBI back in the day, he retired and wrote a couple of books and he started doing book tours and signing, lectures. So he always hosts parties because this is his house. He’s a great guy, you’ll like him.”
Bridgett was beyond nervous for everyone to meet this new guy. Especially since he was so new in her life. And since the conversation she had with Penelope, she was nervous if she was right how Spencer would react.
She rings the doorbell to the large house, waiting for someone to answer the door. Derek opens the door, a surprising look on his face.
“Hey Bridge. Come on in.” Derek studies Angel up and down.
“Derek, this is Angel. Angel this is Derek. He and I work together at the Buerau. He’s our resident badass and big brother.”
The front of the house fills with the rest of the team members; Emily, JJ, Penelope, Hotch, Rossi, but no Spencer. She introduces everyone to Angel , Rossi handing both of them a drink after the introductions are done.
***
The mood was light while everyone was inside sitting around a large table, everyone talking and laughing.
“I gotta use the restroom. I’ll be back, if I’m not back in 10 send a search party.” Angel jokes, making Bridgett laugh.
“Hey pretty boy made it!” Derek calls out, everyone’s attention turning to Spencer. He smiles and waves awkwardly, coming to join everyone else. He had a nice plum colored button up on with a skinny solid black tie, and of course his converse on. He looked really handsome. Bridgett waves at him from her seat, Spencer walking over and sitting on the opposite side of her.
“You’re late. What took you so long?” Bridgett teases.
“The subway. It randomly broke down right before I was supposed to get off for 15 minutes.”
“Well hey, don’t worry about taking the subway home, I’ll just take you. I’m sticking to one glass tonight, I’m not going to be drunk.”
Spencer smiles at her, nodding his head as he takes a drink from his glass, “Yeah that would be great thanks Bridge.”
Bridgett feels the chair on her other side slide back, Angel touching her bare shoulder as he sits back down. Spencer’s eyes fixate on the stranger, his eyes flickering back and forth between him and Bridgett.
“Who’s this?” Spencer questions.
“Oh I’m Angel, I’m Bridgett’s date.”
The room fell quiet, everyone watching the exchange. Spencer’s jaw clenched, taking a longer swig of his drink.
“Date huh? Nice.” He says under his breath.
Bridgett’s cheeks getting hot, getting through this dinner was going to be interesting.
Spencer was beyond fuming, but in the back of his mind he knew he had no true right to feel this angry.  But seeing that the girl he’s in love with be touched and goggled over made him seethe with rage.
If you weren’t such a goddamn wimp, maybe Bridgett and you could have gone together as a date, but no you have to be afraid of fucking everything.
Spencer knocks the glass of wine back, asking Rossi if he had anything stronger., to which he offered him his best scotch and Spencer took. He quickly shoots that one down, instantly regretting it once he feels the fire in his throat.
Bridgett watches him cough after hearing him swallow the shot, in the few years she’s know Spencer, he’s had maybe half a sip of champagne, and again… it was half a sip. “Woah, slowdown, I can’t carry you out of here.” Bridgett comments, laughing slightly.
Spencer pours another shot full, keeping his eyes on hers the whole time while he slowly sips, finishing yet another glass.
“Slow enough for you?”
***
Spencer didn’t speak one word while everyone was eating , anytime Bridgett spoke to him, Spencer wouldn’t look at her, he just nodded his head and take a heavy drink. He got more and more angry throughout the night, nobody else could tell if it was the alcohol or Angel.
Not too long after dinner was over some of the team started to leave. Angel wraps his arm around Bridgett’s waist, kissing her cheek.
“What do you say we get out of here?” Angel whispers in her ear. Bridgett giggles, smiling at him.
“Okay. I told my friend Spencer I would take him home, so I need to drop him off before I get home. Let me go find him.”
Bridgett walks to the backyard to try to find Spencer, not finding him with the rest of the team that was still here. She walks back inside, finding Derek and Penelope before they leave.
“Hey, have you seen Spence? I was supposed to give him a ride home.”
Derek sighs, throwing his jacket on. Penelope stares at Derek then back at Bridgett.
“He uhh… got a call from his mom’s care facility. He left like 10 minutes ago.”
“Oh my god is she okay?”
“He didn’t say. He was… upset.” Derek states, rubbing her shoulder in comfort. “I’ll see you Monday morning, mama.”
Bridgett walks to Rossi and Emily chatting with Angel, her coat in his hands.
“Hey, Spence took off because of a family emergency. So if you still want to head out, we can.”
Angel nods his head, helping Bridgett put her coat on and saying his goodbyes to the pair before walking hand and hand out with Bridgett back to her car.
***
Bridgett walks through the elevator, pulling the door open to the dugout. She spots Spencer at his desk, not expecting him to be at work this morning.
“Hey, you’re here. How’s your mom?”
Spencer barely turns his head to give Bridgett a dirty look, going back to scribbling something in his notebook.
“Fine.” He says plainly.
“Garcia said that you left Rossi’s party the other night because you got a call from your mom’s care facility that something happened. And you didn’t answer my phone calls all weekend. I was worried about you.”
Spencer gets up from his desk with a sigh, whizzing past her toward the conference room. Bridgett stands there, completely confused why he wasn’t speaking to her.
“Hey mama, we have a local case, Hotch said a briefing in 5.” Derek says, passing by her quickly.
Bridgett sets her bag at her desk, taking her notebook and pen with her to the conference room, sitting in her usual spot next to Spencer.
“Hey, are you okay?” She asks quietly.
Spencer visibly rolls his eyes, fidgeting with his pen between his fingers.
“Yup. Just fine.”
Bridgett opens her mouth to ask him another question but everyone grabs their seat as JJ begins briefing everyone on their case.
***
Hotch had Bridgett and Spencer partner up to examine the crime scene and Spencer was beyond annoyed. Bridgett could feel the anger and tension between both of them the car ride to the crime scene. She wanted to ask what his deal was but she didn’t want there to be more anger in the air when they got to their destination.
While they were examining the crime scene and talking with the town sheriff, Spencer undermined every single thing she asked, said, or thought and it was pissing her off.
After a few hours they were ready to head back to headquarters and Bridgett was furious.
“Hey, Spencer, could you have me a tissue please?” Bridgett asks, motioning to the glove compartment. Spencer sighs loudly, opening the drawer and slamming the door closed hard. That was it.
“What the fuck is your problem?!” Bridgett yells. “Why are you being such a fucking dick? What did I do to you?”
“What are you talking about?”
Bridgett bites her cheek, putting her turn signal on and pulling off to the side of the road.
“What are you doing?” Spencer asks, raising his voice.
“No, what are you doing?! I don’t know why you’re pissed off at me, but you making me look like I don’t know what the fuck I’m talking about when we’re working is not okay. This attitude you’ve had with me all morning is starting to piss me off and I’m over it! What did I do?”
Spencer sits quietly, gathering his thoughts.
“I don’t want to talk to you about it.”
Bridgett was about 2 seconds away from screaming in anger, her hands grip the steering wheel, knuckles white.
“So instead of being a fucking adult you’re choosing to act like a child and not tell me why you’re angry with me? Real mature Spencer. You know, for a genius, you can be real dumb sometimes.” She fires off at him.
“Nice to know that’s what you think of me.” Spencer says quietly, grabbing his satchel, opening the car door and walking away from the car.
Bridgett sits dumbfounded. She gets out of the car, running after him. “Spencer! What are you doing?!”
He has his back turned to her, his cell phone pressed to his ear.
“Spencer, Spencer, Spencer, Spencer.” Bridgett repeats his name over and over again, getting under his skin.
Once he hangs the phone up he begins walking away again.
“Goddamn it! Where are you going?” She shouts, Spencer stopping in his tracks.
“Going back to work. I’m not riding with you back. I called a cab”
“Why are you being like this? What did I do Spencer?!” She was pissed, getting upset, and tired.
“You’re being a shitty friend!” Spencer yells, visibly taken back at what he even just yelled.
Bridgett stares at him, tears clouding her vision. “I’m not a shitty friend.” She says with a light voice. “You really think I’m a shitty friend? All the nights I spent on the phone with you because you were having bad nightmares, the time I went to your house at 3:30am because you called me inconsolable, was there for you because you got a call that your mom was having a bad day and you felt guilty for putting her in a mental hospital. All of that I was there for you and you still have the audacity to call me a shitty friend? Really?”
Spencer doesn’t make eye contact with her, his feet kicking the pavement under him. Bridgett walks back to the car, tears flowing down her cheeks at his words. She sits in the car, watching Spencer sit on the sidewalk, waiting for his cab, his head turning every so often to see the car still parked several feet away. Bridgett openly sobbed in the car, she was sensitive enough as it was, but having her best friend call her a shitty friend broke her. She waits in the car until she sees a yellow cab pull up next to Spencer and him get in it. Even though he just pissed her off, she didn’t want him to be by himself in the middle of nowhere. Once she sees him get in she drives off toward the office, still sniffling and the occasional tear rolling down her cheek.
Once she pulls into the parking spot back at the office, she slowly walks inside, trying to get her mind together before having to go back and face the rest of the team. She walks through the doors, throwing the case file on her desk and grabbing her bag to go home.
“Hey, where’s Spence?” Derek asks, popping up behind her.
“Fuck if I know.” Bridgett mumbles, turning to walk out for the day.
“Wait! Where are you going? What happened? Are you crying?” Derek rattles his questions off one after the other.
Bridgett continues walking out, ignoring Derek talking to her. She presses the elevator down button, waiting for it to come. She feels someone next to her, Derek. She sighs, folding her arms over her chest. The doors open, both of them walking in.
“What’s wrong?”
Bridgett clears her throat, choking back a sob.
“Spencer and I got into it… he got out of the car on the way back and called a cab to come get him because we were yelling at each other. He called me a shitty friend.”
“He’s going to kill me for saying this, but the reason he left on Saturday was because he was angry that you brought that kid with you to the party. He sort of has a thing for you.”
“Everyone keeps telling me that, you, Garcia, but he hasn’t made a move on me. I’m not going to wait for him to do it. I know that sounds mean but I can’t wait forever.”
Derek nods his head. “I know. I’ve been trying to tell him. And I told him the other night too. I’ve never seen him so mad. It definitely didn’t help that he was drinking everything in sight. But I can tell you that you’re not a shitty friend. Spencer just says what’s on his mind when he’s mad.”
“So that means he has it in his head that I’m shitty to him.”
Derek shakes his head, giving her a tight hug.
“No, that’s not what I’m saying. Let me talk to him. See if I can get him to calm down. Go home, I’ll tell Hotch you got sick on the job and take the rest of the day to make yourself feel better, alright?”
Bridgett nods, giving him a hug.
***
Bridgett grabs the plate of her favorite comfort meal, breakfast food drenched in hot sauce, and takes it over to the couch, flipping through the tv channels to find something to watch for the night. Her favorite movie was already loaded into her DVD player from the last time she watched it, and that was probably what she was going to settle for. As she takes a huge mouthful of eggs there’s a soft knock at the door. She groans, quickly chewing her food, opening the door quickly. Spencer is standing there, his head down, fidgeting with the leather strap across his chest.
“Hi.” He says quietly.
“Hello.” Bridgett responds, a hint  of attitude in her tone, still a little bitter at him for his earlier outburst.
Spencer bites his bottom lip, awkwardly fixing her doormat with his foot to straighten it out.
“I was wondering if I could talk… if we could talk.”
“What about?” She asks, crossing her arms over her chest, still not letting him inside.
“I wanted to tell you I’m sorry.” Finally looking into Bridgett’s eyes.
“Oh really? Okay well I’m listening.”
Spencer sighs, tapping his fingers on his bag.
“Derek told me that you went back to work crying… about what I said to you and I didn’t mea-“
Bridgett interrupts, just to get under his skin. “What did you say to me? I forgot.” She questions, her voice thick with sarcasm.
Well she isn’t going to make this easy.
“I… I called you a shitty friend. And I didn’t mean it, Bridge. I was angry and I should have never said it because it’s far from the truth. You’re the only true friend I’ve ever had, and I feel like such a dick for saying it to you. I probably can’t ever apologize enough to make up for it, but my apology is genuine.”
Bridgett continues to stare at him for a few seconds, she could tell he really was sorry for his harsh words, and even if she wanted to, she couldn’t be mad at him.
“Come in.” She moves from the middle of the doorway, letting Spencer in. He walks in, following her to the couch.
“I want you to be honest with me, because I already know the answer to the question.
Spencer nods his head, playing with a loose string on her throw pillows.
“Do you have romantic feelings for me?”
Spencer’s eyes grow wide, almost in a cartoonish way. He drops eye contact with Bridgett, his heart beating a million miles per hour.
Tell her. Tell her now. She already knows. Tell. Her.
“Yeah.” He says, no sound coming out of his mouth, his vocal chords frozen. He clears his throat, “Yeah, I have feelings for you. I have for a while now.”
“How long is a while?” Bridgett questions, feeling a bit of relief that he finally admits it.
“476 days. Since the night at the hotel… in Idaho. Well actually 388 days before that, it’s kinda why what happened in Idaho… happened. So 864 days total.”
Bridgett nods her head, trying to hide the smirk on her face, remembering very fondly of what happened in Idaho.
“And why did you feel the need to hide the fact you had feelings for me that weren’t just sexual feelings? Why do you think that you couldn’t tell me you liked me in a romantic way?”
“I don’t know. I was scared that you were going to laugh in my face when I told you that I fell in lo-.” He stops himself before he says the word.
“Fell in love with me?” Bridgett asks, finishing his sentence.
He nods his head, afraid to say the words.
“I wouldn’t laugh at you. And to be honest with you, I would be lying to myself if I said I didn’t like you too. I haven’t been in love with you for 800 days, but I do love you.”
Spencer stays quiet, smiling to himself. “864 days.”
Bridgett rolls her eyes and elbows his arm playfully.
“Oh, so sorry 864 days. Since we’re talking about how many days we’ve been in love with each other, I've been in love with you for about…” Bridgett pauses as she does the math in her head, not anywhere close to how fast Spencer’s brain worked. “730 days.”
“Really?”
Bridgett nods her head, “Yeah, it’s kinda hard not to love you. You know what solidified my love for you? Do you remember when we were flying back from Seattle, and you were exhausted, we were sitting together, we had barely been in the air for 20 minutes and I felt your head rest on my shoulder. I looked over at you and you were passed out. I put my head on yours and I fell asleep too. When I woke up, Emily had a picture on her phone she had taken of us and I knew that I loved you.”
Spencer touched Bridgett’s cheek with his thumb softly, staring at her deep brown eyes. He takes Bridgett’s hand in his, holding them close to his chest.
“I love you Bridgett, and I really want to make you happy.”
She lets go of his hands and places both of them on each side of his face, giving him a smile.
“I forgive you.” She says softly, kissing his lips. “And I love you too.”
“So does this mean you’re my… girlfriend?”
Bridgett kisses his lips softly, smiling at him lovingly.
“Yes, yes it does mean I’m your girlfriend. You good with that?”
“Very. I’m very good with that.”
The Transporter ~Part Three~ // Spencer Reid x Reader
Sorry this took so long!! I have been so busy with work lately, but here she is.
Word count ~ 2,900+
Hope you guys like it :))
Tumblr media
I stepped back through the transporter to be met with an empty room. I glanced at the clock on the wall. It read 10:15, that wasn't *that* late. Christine is probably still awake.
I made my way to her room, which wasn't incredibly far from mine. Her door was cracked open and I could see her laying in bed, reading a book in the semi dim lighting. I knocked lightly, pulling her out of her fictional world of Harry Potter.
"Oh! Y/n, I didn't think you were coming back tonight. How was everything?" She gently set her bookmark in the book, placing it on her nightstand.
I couldn't hold back the smile on my face. It was the coolest day of my life, what could I say?
"It was so amazing Christine! I accidentally set myself right into an investigation that I knew about. I met all of them, and it felt different than I thought I would-"
"Did you talk to Spencer?" She asked, nudging my side. I could feel the blood rush to my face.
"Uh, yes." I smiled, looking down at her star clad comforter. "It was incredibly surreal and I can't wait to go back. It was kind of a funny interaction, the first one. He asked me to profile him, which was obviously easy because I know him like the back of my hand. Well I thought that was gonna be the end of our interaction that day. But I accidentally left my laptop at the Bureau."
"Oh yeah *accidentally*." She smiled, throwing air quotes.
"Shush, it was actually an accident." I giggled. "Anyway, he looked up my address I guess and he brought it to me. It was sweet."
"I guess now he knows where to send flowers." I shook my head with a smile. "Well I'm glad you had fun. I hope everything works out well, don't forget there's an actual case though." She winked.
"Thanks Christine, for everything." I waved as I slinked out of the room and down the hall.
I flopped down onto my bed with a simple grin, quickly falling asleep after my eventful day.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I slapped my hand over my phone as the alarm began blaring at 9:30. I wanted to fully commit to this whole thing, just like I was in real life. But in reality, I was waking up pretty late, considering I was going to go into their universe at 8:30.
It appeared that Christine was already awake, she was softly knocking at my slightly cracked door.
"Hey sweetie, I take it you wanna head out soon?"
"Yeah! And I'm gonna have to be gone for a couple of days for the case. Get all integrated and such. Is that alright?"
"Yeah of course! Just document some experiences, or anything that seems weird or off about their universe." Chris left the room, shutting my door with a light thud.
I slipped on a white button up, putting a maroon sweater over it to add my own little touch. I looked in the mirror to make sure my dress pants were fitting me correctly and stepped into my two inch black heels.
Since I would be gone for a few days, I grabbed a suitcase plus my go-bag that I had already had from my time interning. The navy blue bag was slung over my shoulder as I walked out my door, immediately bumping into someone. I looked up to see who I remembered as Violet Glynn, who went into the Zombieland Universe.
"Sorry, Violet, right?" I shook her hand. "How's your universe going? I've always loved that movie. Please tell me Columbus is just as sweet and endearing as he is in the actual film?"
I could see her eyes light up with glee, clearly she hadn't had anyone to fangirl properly to, I could tell she was about to explode with information.
"Yes! He is incredibly kind. Talahassee is already trying to dad me, Little Rock and I are already pretty good friends but Witchita is still kinda weary of me, which is understandable. I talked to Ryan, and he said I can only change a few major things so one I chose to do was to keep Columbus from killing Bill Murray. Bill is so fun to live with so far! I just - I am totally talking about myself for too long. How is everything going for you?" I offered her a kind smile of reassurance.
"It's completely fine, I get your excitement. It's really cool, kinda different from the real job I was working. Maybe that's because I'm permanently gawking at one of my coworkers." We both laughed for a moment. "But I'm gonna be gone with him for like 3 days straight so, I guess I'm gonna have to figure something out. When I come back we should talk more." Violet nodded enthusiastically and waved as we walked to our Transporter rooms.
"Of course! See you in a few days."
I could hear Christine's heels clicking not far behind me as I began typing in the date and time.
*February 12th, 8:30 am. 2009*
"Good luck, I will see you in a few days time, yeah?"
"Yep!" I shoved my 'Come back device' in my go-bag and turned on it's much larger counterpart, nodding at Chris as I stepped in.
I was immediately greeted by my apartments bedroom, I could hear my phone buzzing on my side table. I lifted it to see a text from a certain favorite person of mine, and she didn't even know me yet.
*Penelope G*
*Hey sweets! The plane will be ready to be boarded at 9:15. The team is meeting at the BAU first for a carpool, so be there or be square! Have a good time on your first mission, from what I've seen, you're pretty amazing. :)*
I held back a small smile from my lips, this world is just as good as I always wanted it to be.
*Thank you M'lady. I've heard amazing things about you. I hope we can gossip sometime! ;)*
I sent the text and slipped my phone into my back pocket. I chucked a piece of toast in the toaster, quickly spreading peanut butter on it and checking my watch.
*8:45*
I began my walk to the BAU, probably looking extremely weird walking down the street in work attire and a piece of toast slathered with peanut butter. But I was pretty content, continuing to eat it as I reached the doors of my favorite place.
I brushed my hands together to rid of the many crumbs that had accumulated there, seeing JJ and Penelope talking at Jennifer's desk.
"Y/n! Come over here." Penelope waved me over, I pulled at the sleeves of my sweater as I walked over as confidently as possible. "Are you ready for your first case?" She leaned in a little, clearly trying to search my face for a quicker answer.
"Yeah, I think I'm pretty ready. I've done this kinda stuff before but, I'm way more nervous about this."
"I wouldn't worry to much about. I think you already impressed Hotch and Spencer, you read people extremely well. Did you seriously gather all that stuff from Reid just by knowing him for a few minutes?" JJ was clearly now invested.
"Well, yeah. He's relatively easy to read, as long as you're paying attention." JJ nodded with a smirk.
"Well, you certainly made a good first impression, you honestly sound a lot like Reid, maybe you can..." I watched as she peered behind me, her words trailing off. Her eyes darted back and forth between me and whatever was happening behind me. I whipped my head around to see Spencer walking in, he was distracted my a book, which made me smile. But that smile quickly faded as I scanned my eyes over his outfit.
He was wearing a white button up with a black tie and a maroon vest over it with black dress pants. Sound familiar? All but the black tie.
"Maybe you are even more like Reid than I thought." JJ smirked at me. All the blood had run to my face and my feet felt bolted to the ground. Why this? Why on my first official day? I could hear Garcia holding back a laugh behind me.
"This is adorable I'm sorry." She said, giggling a little.
Spencer finally looked up from his book, hearing Penelope laughing. He furrowed his eyebrows, squinting a bit. Probably wondering why I looked like a deer in headlights. He looked down at himself.
Then back up at me.
Then down at himself again.
He just smiled at me and closed his book all the way, adjusting the go-bag he held on his shoulder. I nearly dropped mine.
"What just happened?" Penelope nudged my shoulder. I shrugged and shook my head.
This was clearly going to be quite the day.
I ended up carpooling with JJ, Morgan and Reid. JJ and I sat in the back while Morgan drove, Spencer spitting facts to him about cars and traffic.
"Well, according to the DC Department of Motor Vehicles, there are almost 450,000 active drivers registered in the District. However, millions more drivers commute to DC from neighboring communities in Maryland and Virginia. D.C. is also host to millions of tourists from around the world. In 2014, more than 20 million people visited D.C., many of them renting a car or driving their own vehicle to visit." He rambled.
"Reid, all I said was there was a lot of traffic today."
"I mean he's right though." I piped in. Spence looked back at me with confused eyes. "Washington D.C. is also home to some of the worst traffic in the country. Analysts estimate that the average driver will spend 7 hours a year in traffic, wasting 6 gallons of gas. However, for D.C. drivers, one estimate found the average driver is spending 67 hours a year in traffic, wasting 32 gallons of gas while sitting in traffic." I think hearing him so much on the show, made me a little bit like him in some ways, my friends always rolled their eyes at me whenever I rambled. The only real one who listens is my uncle. He had turned around, but I could tell he was smiling.
Success.
"Good lord there's two of them."
I'll take that as a compliment.
We boarded the plane and I decided on a window seat, leaning my head up against the cold glass. My hand was unknowingly gripping the armrest a little too tightly.
"Are you a nervous flier?" I would obviously know that voice from anywhere, but right now it was coming from right across from me. I leaned my head back on the headrest.
"Not necessarily, I've flown quite a few times. I've just never been in a jet."
"The key difference between jets and propeller planes is that jets produce thrust through the discharge of gas instead of powering a drive shaft linked to a propeller. This allows jets to fly faster and at higher altitudes." He loosened his tie a little. "So I wouldn't worry too much, it feels about the same."
"Well thank you."
It was silent for a bit, but once we were in the sky we began talking about the case. Emily was talking about how she wants to be cremated because being buried was gross and weird.
"I actually agree with you. I think cremation is more personal too, I want someone to sprinkle my ashes somewhere. Not have to visit my grave and waste money on flowers every year."
Me and Emily got into that conversation as the rest of the team slowly started to do their own things. Spencer was back to reading his book, one page every 5 seconds. He peered over his book for a moment, but only a moment.
"I like your outfit by the way." He mumbled, still focused on his book, he lowered it a bit. I could see a smirk creeping onto his features. My ears began burning as the blood rushed to them.
"Thanks." I really wanted to say more to him, but it felt like my jaw was wired shut.
Morgan was not so discreetly looking over at us with eyebrows raised. But I kept my eyes out the window.
We landed about 2 hours later. I had kept myself occupied by writing down everything that just happened, so I wouldn't forget, and for Christine.
"Morgan, Reid, y/l/n, you go with the police search party and find what you can. Prentiss and I will talk to their chief. Rossi and JJ, set us up in the station."
Once we were there, we were put on a search party with the police, they quickly found the body of another woman covered in mud and holding a cross necklace. We were bringing the evidence back to the station with the others. On the way back, Spencer was telling me about the history of gold cross necklaces. I could practically hear Morgan rolling his eyes the whole time, but I just loved hearing him talk.
Once we were there, Rossi showed his blatant coldness towards the psychic that was telling a scared mother that her daughter was okay. Hotch began sending us off again, and we were off to see the bodies.
Days here moved so fast.
Once we arrived I stared at the body on the table. I lightly touched her arm, cold as ice. Seeing these body through the screen was one thing, but knowing these are real people, it's even more sad. Of course I had seen many bodies in my time, but the thought that this wasn't fictional anymore made my stomach churn a little.
"I found trace amounts of seamen, but there is no sign of sexual assault."
"Are you saying this was consensual?" Spencer tilted his head a bit. No no sweet child.
"She's saying it's happening post-mortem." I said, looking down a little. Morgan nodded and Reids face scrunched. This poor woman.
I knew I couldn't change much, because that could royally screw some stuff up, si throughout the whole thing I decided I would change things little by little to move it along faster. What I did this time was make it so we didn't waste time and interrogate the random man who was accused of being a necrophiliac, because his timeline wouldn't match up.
We made it to the house just a smidge earlier, Brooke was found on the operating table in the abandoned home, completely fine.
The days had become exhausting, as soon as we got on the jet I sat in the same seat, dropping my bag down and grabbing a small pillow out of it. I set the pillow against the window and drifted off to sleep fast.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I woke up to JJ shaking my shoulder, opening my eyes to see a blanket that read *e=mc²* all over it.
"What is this?"
"Oh, I believe Spence put that on you while you were asleep. You were shivering and he happened to have it in his go-bag I guess." She shrugged. "Everyone is heading home, so you want a ride?"
"That would be amazing, thank you."
"No problem."
It was only 5 pm, and Christine wouldn't be expecting me back until tomorrow. So I decided I was gonna get some stuff done with my time, more specifically one big thing.
I grabbed the wad of money that Chris had given me and waved down a taxi. I had them take me to the nearest car dealership. I made a hasty decision and bought a 2007 Mini Cooper. Now I could do what I really wanted.
I looked up Spencer's address and grabbed his blanket, which I had neatly folded and threw on my coffee table. He appeared to live around 15 minutes away by car.
Once I was there, nerves had set in, but I ignored them as I reached the door and knocked 3 times.
I heard a faint "Coming!" From the other side of the dark oak door. He answered with his phone propped up on his shoulder, talking to someone.
"Sorry Mom, I gotta go, love you." He hung up and pulled his phone from his ear. "Hey, what are you doing here."
I presented his blanket to him.
"I figured I would return the favor of you bringing me my laptop by bringing you your blanket." I flopped it into his outstretched arms.
"We have got to stop meeting like this." He smiled, bringing the blanket to his chest. "Would you like to come in?" He brought his hand to the collar of his shirt, attempting to loosen the strain it clearly had on his neck. "I just made a pot of coffee. And since you're just about the only one who actually listens to my ridiculous amount of rambling, I figured we could ramble together? I mean I don't know you very well and I honestly want to be the first to befriend you, you're very intriguingly different. Not in any kind of bad way I just-" His face was slowly getting more red and I could see that his grip on the poor blanket was almost white knuckle.
"I would love to." I stepped into his apartment with a sigh.
Was this a dream?
Maybe.
If so, I wanna be asleep *forever*.
Unconventional Love II
Author’s Note: Guess who’s finally done with exams? So, as requested, here’s the second part of Unconventional Love!
(Part I)
It’s unconventional. He knows that. Knew it from the moment he realized how young she was. It scared him away for a few weeks, but he found himself quite unable to resist her. There was something about Y/N that pulled him in. Perhaps it was the way she made him feel safe and wanted. Or the way she could keep up with his mind when they talked – most of the time. Or the way she looked at him, how a single glance could make his heart rate jump drastically.
The moment he kissed her, it was all over. He knew then that he was too far gone to ever recover.
So he agreed to start seeing her. He wouldn’t admit out loud that in a way, it thrilled him. The whole “forbidden-love” trope. A sort of mentor-student relationship. The twelve year age gap made him hesitant – and yet, excited. He doesn’t think he’s had a thing for younger girls. It’s this particular girl. Everything about her draws him in.
After only a few months of dating, he knows it for sure: he loves her.
It’s why he finally invites her to meet his team. They’re his family, his life, and he wants her to be a part of his life. All they know is that he’s seeing someone. They know only her name, nothing else. She is one secret he has kept closely guarded, and for good reason; but she wants to be a part of his life just as much.
He never has been good at saying no to her.
So when Rossi throws a dinner party, he brings her along. In order to avoid too much attention, he picks her up at a coffee shop just off campus, away from the prying eyes of college students too prone to gossip. After several months, she still manages to take his breath away, sitting on a bench in a velvet dress, her hair pinned up, a book in her hands. At the sound of his car, she looks up, and immediately stands to greet him, the sound of her heels clicking on the sidewalk. A smile spreads across her face and the reflection of the lamplight in her eyes makes her look absolutely radiant.
The ride over is filled with a quiet anxiety for the both of them.
“What if they don’t like me?” she asks.
“Nonsense,” he assures her. “They’ll love you. My team is my family, and they’re all amazing people. There’s nothing to worry about.” There are exactly twelve things worrying him, however. Twelve years that separate him from her. Twelve things that his team will inevitably notice.
He can see it on Rossi’s face when he answers the door. The older agent is skilled in keeping a poker face, but microexpressions come through of their own accord, quiet messages to the those who know how to read them. They plainly say: shock, surprise, confusion.
Reid doesn’t miss a beat though, smiling and putting his arm around Y/N’s waist in a way only romantic partners do. “Y/N, this is David Rossi, my colleague. Rossi, this is Y/F/N Y/L/N. My girlfriend.”
Rossi dons the warm expression of an impeccable host and shakes her hand. “It’s a pleasure to meet you. I didn’t realize our Dr. Reid kept the company of such pretty girls.” Beside him, she visibly relaxes. Greeting Rossi is only the beginning though. The rest of the team is waiting inside, and he can only hope it goes smoothly. He’s never felt this way about someone before, and the last thing he wants is for tonight to put an end to the fairy-tale life he feels he’s been living in.
At first, it seems fine. He makes introductions, and she makes small talk with his team. She’s trying, she’s trying so hard to make a good impression. All smiles and strong handshakes and that genuine warmth she always exudes. Surely they can tell how much this means to her? To him?
JJ asks how they met. “In a library, actually,” she says. “Which only seems fitting. I was studying and Spencer asked about one of the books I was reading. One conversation led to another, and we just sort… fell together. Like it was the easiest thing in the world.”
“Studying?” JJ repeats. “Are you in a doctoral program?”
Y/N falters, and glances to him. He nods, encouraging her. Lying will only make things worse. The truth always comes out in the end, so it’s better to be honest up front. Nevertheless, it feels like pulling out a thorn, and he tries not to wince at the pain he anticipates.
“I-I’m a student at Georgetown. In the College.”
Conversations with in their earshot suddenly fall quieter, and he tries not to notice the way every head in the room turns ever so slightly their way. JJ blinks, her eyebrows raised. “In the College? How old are you exactly?”
Reid holds his breath. She squeezes his hand. “Um, twenty. I’m a sophomore.” The silence is so pervasive, the entire room is nothing but a series of inhales and exhales.
He feels someone grab his arm, and Hotch says, “Reid, can I speak to you outside?” The unit chief drags him out to Rossi’s patio, and he realizes the rest of the team has followed.
Morgan shuts the glass door behind them, then rounds on him. “Reid, man, what the hell are you thinking? Twenty? That girl’s not even old enough to drink!”
“I’m aware of that,” he says. More than aware. Morgan has no idea how many nights he would lie awake wondering if it was worth it. Going over every reason to say no to her in his mind, trying to keep his distance. It was never enough to keep him away from her. Some things defy logic, explanation and reason.
“What if someone finds out about this?” Hotch asks. “It could cause trouble for you.”
“She’s over eighteen,” Reid answers, indignant. As if he would be so stupid as to get involved with a minor! “And in college. There’s no need for it to be a scandal.”
JJ jumps in, her usual smile a firm frown. “Spence, she could tell someone! She could lie and make something up about you. I mean, what does a college girl want with someone like you anyways? How do you know she’s not just using you?”
It doesn’t escape his notice that they refuse to use her name. She, it, they, that girl. He can’t help but jump to her defense. “You don’t even know her! If you took the time to, you’d realize she’s not like that! Y/N has been nothing but careful and kind. And is it so hard to believe that someone like her is genuinely interested in me? I realize I’m older and I’m not exactly cool, but she likes me for me, and that much I know for sure!”
“Spence, I didn’t mean-”
“Then why did you say that? Why is everyone’s first assumption that she’s a problem? I realize it’s unconventional. I’m well aware that she’s twelve years younger than I am. I get it, okay? But we’ve been seeing each other for a while, long enough for me to know I trust her, and long enough for me to know that I love her! I brought her here because I thought you all would be happy for me!”
An uncomfortable silence settles over them. “We’re only trying to protect you,” Rossi says.
The door opens, and Alex steps out to join them. “Spencer, your girlfriend is really quite lovely,” she says. “I’m so glad you brought her with you.”
Morgan clears his throat. “Blake, it doesn’t bother you at all that she’s still in college?”
Alex shakes her head. “No, not at all. She seems intelligent, sweet, and very mature. I don’t think it has to be a problem. I mean, James and I are nine years apart. He was a TA in one of my college classes. That was far more forbidden, but when you know… you know. I’ve never stopped loving him. I think that if Reid loves her, and Y/N loves him, then that’s enough.” She flashes him a smile, and he hopes that she can read the thank-you in his eyes.
Then he realizes that Alex was the only one who hadn’t immediately joined them on the patio. “Wait, if you’re out here, is Y/N just alone inside?” Alarmed that he’s been so careless, he runs back inside, only to find her happily engaged in conversation with Garcia, who’s laughing loudly at something Y/N has just said. Seeing that, he can finally breathe a little easier. If Garcia is laughing, it’s a yes from her. That’s two of the team down, four more to win over.
The agents slowly file back inside, and when they do, Y/N pulls him aside. “You were talking about me, weren’t you?” she asks. Remarkably observant, she is. He nods, embarrassed. Softly she says, “Maybe this is a bad idea. I don’t want to get you into any trouble. Not with the FBI, and not with your friends. If my age is going to ruin things for you, maybe it’s best if we stop seeing each other.” Each word comes out strained, and she can’t make eye contact. Her body language takes away the fear that she wants to break-up with him, as every part of her is screaming that the last thing she wants is to leave. Which is good, because every part of him wants her to stay.
“No! Of course not! I mean, yes, we were talking about you. But I don’t care about any of that. There are no rules against it, and I don’t care if they don’t see how incredible you are, because I do. It doesn’t matter to me how old you are, I know what I feel for you is real. And I have to believe that eventually, they’ll see that. If nothing else, they have to see how happy you make me.”
She blushes, finally glancing up at him. “You’re sure you’re not embarrassed by me? I mean, I know it isn’t easy to be dating someone so young.”
He takes her hands and kisses her fiercely. There’s no way he could ever be embarrassed by her. Not once has she ever made him feel ashamed. On the contrary, she’s given him new confidence. As someone who had to grow up so fast, she makes him feel young in all the best ways – not immature or childish, but alive. Around her, he finds he has more energy, and everything feels more exciting. As though somehow he has managed to be more present in the world with her. He never realized it was possible to live this way until she came along.
There is more light in his life with her, whether they’re walking in a park or she’s kissing him in the back of his car. She never asks too much of him, but she always challenges him to be better. If there is anything he learned as a twelve year-old child prodigy, it’s that age is merely a number. An arbitrary value that matters very little outside of important legal definitions. Maybe that’s why he finds it strangely thrilling to be with someone twelve years younger than him – he himself spent so much of his life out of his own league, around people so much older than him.
“I don’t want easy,” he says, when he finally pulls away. “I want you. I knew what I was getting into the moment I kissed you, and I have never regretted that. I don’t care what they think – I know that I love you.” It has taken him this long to finally get those three words out, but he wants to show the kind of confidence in their relationship that she has demonstrated. She was the one who believed in them, who was willing to fight for what she felt when he was too scared to.
He doesn’t want to keep this a secret anymore.
“I love you too,” she replies, and he’s never imagined how good it would feel to hear her say that back to him. He’s just about to kiss her again when someone whistles, and they both whirl around to see Morgan standing there, eyebrows raised.
“Don’t stop on my behalf,” he laughs. “Look, we want to apologize. Y/N, we meant no disrespect. When it comes to Reid, we do want him to be happy. That’s why we’re so protective of him. But if you two are happy together, then that’s cause for celebration. So what do you say? We good?”
She smiles. “Yeah. We’re good. Thank you.” They follow Morgan into the kitchen, where the rest of the team offers up amends. Y/N takes it all in stride, and he knows that if she can handle this – his job, his team, all the demands of that life – they’ll be okay. He sends a silent thank you up to Carl Jung for the book that brought them together. Never in a million years did he think he’d be with someone like her.
Rossi proposes a toast, and is doling out glasses of wine, when Morgan says, “Oh! And Y/N, of course. Don’t wanna forget you.” Then he grins and hands her a juice box. “We can’t exactly have the FBI condoning any lawbreaking.”
She bursts out laughing, and rolls her eyes, but Reid can tell that means Morgan is accepting her. It’s not a harsh judgment, but a brotherly sort of teasing. Garcia and Alex have already warmed up to her, and he figures it won’t be too long before Hotch and JJ come around.
It’s late at night when they leave, and she falls asleep as he drives back to her dorm. In the glow of the streetlights, he stares at her, in all her perfection. Peaceful, gentle, and so incredibly lovely. She’s his. And he’s hers. And it’s unconventional, of course, but he’s never done anything traditionally. Unconventional though it may be, that spark is real.
He’s tired of giving himself a thousand reasons why he doesn’t deserve to be happy, when there’s someone right in front of him who proves him wrong each time. With her, he doesn’t have to overthink or overanalyze. It’s easy. As it should be.
This love makes him better. This love is unconventional.
But this love is very, very real.
