The Final Timeless War between the Infinity Knights and the Blorgons almost became a never-ending war that would consume all of spacetime,
had the Warrior Inspector not set off the Time Wave to finalise things for both sides.

If I were to make a Metroid or Metroid-adjacent game, one thing I would definitely do is bring back the feature from Super Metroid where you're able to toggle on and off certain upgrades. Tired of frozen enemies getting underfoot? Turn off ice beam. Tired of jumps making a silly noise? Turn off screw attack. And so on.
But I would frame it as Samus going into her suit computer in-universe to mess with things, so the player can turn on and off MUCH more than the upgrades. You can mess around with anything Samus would be able to, which opens up a number of esoeteric gameplay options that can be advantageous in certain situations, as well as a truly limitless number of ways to just screw yourself over on purpose. For instance, you can choose to remove the suit at any point. This kills you if you're in a superheated or vacuum area, and makes things impossibly challenging if you're not, as you can't jump well, take fall damage, and get decimated by local wildlife (but does allow you to fit through gaps without the morph ball). You can also choose to turn off the suit's life support, which causes the screen to blur and blacken and shrink over the course of a minute and a half, at which point you suffocate and die. This has no gameplay utility, and can be halted at any point by turning the life support back on, which causes her to audibly gasp. You can also turn off the in-game HUD, if you want a cleaner screen. You can engage the safety on your arm cannon, preventing it from being used. You can turn off the suit's musculoskeletal system, which causes Samus to collapse under the weight and can do nothing but shoot and slowly crawl. This gives you stealth advantage against any enemy that uses electroperception, such as platypuses. You can also have the suit dispense ration paste, which does nothing but cause Samus to emit a brief slurping noise. You can turn off the suit's radio identifier, which does nothing but prevent you from entering your ship (it has no idea who you are.) You can engage an armor lock that freezes you in place; if an enemy touches you, you tip over. You can turn off the suit's computer which blanks the menu and softlocks the game.
And finally you can activate self-destruct, KILLING YOU INSTANTLY, along with anything else in the room with you. Notably, this works on the final boss as well, which will trigger a cutscene for a "good" ending. However, instead of rolling credits afterwards, it will just send you back to the last save point, like the jackass you are.

It deeply saddens me that the writers on Community do not know that fan studies (the academic study of fandom) is a field, not only because Community itself has been the subject of several great analyses (along with Inspector Spacetime), but because it is so clearly Abed’s calling. The entire field is a beautiful mash up of sociology, film, and media studies. Abed’s happy ending would absolutely involve him (and obviously Troy) finding this academic space and being taken so seriously by all these nerds. They’d get to talk about conventions and movies and filmmaking and the dreamatorium and tropes and be extremely successful video essayists/ podcast hosts. I could so see their ending being Troy hyping up Abed to give his first conference talk and all the professors going wild over him and asking dozens of follow up questions and having deep conversations.
Also they’d be the undefeated champs at the night pop culture time trivia games.

While I feel Anabel would have a very difficult time if she was given the choice to return to who she was or continue as she is now, perhaps never return, Ingo feels different...
I honestly wish he had more interactions with Pearl Clan members. The most positive interactions he has is with the Player, but it's very one-sided, and it's up to your interpretation whether the two characters bond with each other. There was Melli, but it doesn't feel like they meet on a regular basis, and they're antagonistic.
And he just wasn't there for the credits "everyone's together" artwork which REALLY felt wrong to me? It makes me wonder if he was a last minute addition (Looker/Anabel kind of were LMAO) or if it was intentional? Or both?
He didn't even come to see the player when they were being kicked out and wasn't even a part of the Palkia/Dialga battle ""finale.""
It made it feel as tho eventually we would see him happily returned to where he truly belongs? Hell even his concept art shows him being reminded of his past, not to mention being found by Pearl Clan.
I mean the guy doesn't even have ONE Pokemon from his past with him... I don't think he's resigned to staying in Hisui. Perhaps that is their intention?

Hello there! I been a silent admirer of your blog and I love the Submas and DojoShipping content here! Your Placeholder AU is fire and Ithe new WereZoroark! Zisu AU as is noice. Will it turn into a full blown AU because so much could happen in it! Like how did she turn into a WereZoroark? What about Ingo turning into a WereZoroark himself but maybe Hisuian or even a WereLuxray and Zisu helping him with his new self? Emmet’s reaction to her and maybe Ingo not being human anymore? So much fun stuff and thanks so much!
Whether or not something turns into a full blown au is completely out of my control. it is entirely up to the whims of my own brain, you see. lol
that being said. i REALLY DO enjoy drawing Big Dog Zisu, and consequently have had some vague thoughts about it all. For one, I know for a fact that Zisu was a were-zoroark Before she and the rest of the galaxy team came to hisui. I've been considering her being born like that, or just having become one in her childhood or as a young adult. Still undecided on that.
Probably not gonna have ingo be a were-creature here! nor any other people, except maybe one or two? odds are, it'll be someone in the galaxy team or ginkgo guild regardless, since the were-creature stuff came from elsewhere than hisui
were-zoroark zisu IS fully Aware and all that in her zoroark form, she's just got a few more animalistic behaviors as a consequence of being a creature at the time. so she's Not going to be going feral and biting anyone, and therefore spreading the were-zoroark.

I think i just had a really cool idea for an Ingo + Arceus roadtrip back to the right time and space does anyone want to hear about it. There's no villain here just a bunch of ppl doing their best btw
[reblogs are VERY ENCOURAGED!!!! I want to share this but i will need to be actively asked about it or else executive dysfunction will take over. Reblogging will get this post to more people and help me get more asks about it!]
[there is a small exposition in the original tags; i've also put them in the reblogs if you don't feel like going all the way back]
#basically as a sneak peek ill just tell u they have to hop dimensions AND time. like sometimes they end up in different#(wrong) points of time in Ingo's time#and other times they end up in different dimensions altogether#sometimes like the worlds the ultra wormholes lead to#but never quite like them until theyre almost there though#the reason why theyre taking such derours is Actually Spacetime Is Like Super Fragile Rn So We Have To Go The Long Way Around#akari/rei does not have that problem because they were specifically sent there so they have a stableish way back#(and forth if the circumstances of the specific moment allow. which isnt often but it can happen)#plEASE ask me about it i have so many half formed ideas that i know im going to just sit om#also dont be afraid to send multiple smaller asks so my adhd doesnt get too overwhelmed. big asks are welcome too but itll take me longer-#-to answer#submas#submas au#ingo#pokemon ingo#pokemon arceus#arceus#warden ingo#subway boss ingo#akari#(in the tags)#pokemon legends arceus#pokemon legends#pokemon legends au#i came up with this after seeing a video about rain world's ecosystem. i mean the idea was already there but that inspired me a lot rn#man if (BIGASS IF) i ever end up writing this for real i am. going to have so many issues in inventing new creechers and civilizations#hmm. what if i asked for help in writing it. hmmmm.#blankshippers please dni#what you do upsets me and i do not want it to pop up on my dash or fyp accidentally bc i interacted w/you#ingo + arceus roadtrip au

helloooo. here is an ask as u requested 😳 read anything interesting lately? i am becoming very fond of the storygraph recommendation system—i didn’t like it much at first, but it’s growing on me haha. and have u been writing recently? if so, what abt & anything you’d like to share?
the main things i've been reading recently are nonfiction, manga, and the history of middle earth series. the first two nonfiction books i've read were misses, but the one i'm reading now, merchants of doubt, is really cool so far. it's from 2010, but it's about how these scientists covered up the truth about tobacco and global warming (as well as other areas related to that, like the effects of secondhand smoking). i finish mob psycho 100 yesterday and enjoyed it a lot. before that i finished nausicaa of valley of the wind (and i've realized i was writing the title wrong the entire time smh), which i also think is a good story, but the most impactful volumes for me for the last two. i'm going to start the reigen volume soon, but that'll probably be it for manga for a while. and the history of middle earth series i'm read because i'm a nerd and like tolkien, and it's really interesting to see the ways the stories have evolved and the ideas that were scrapped (some i agree with scrapping but other times i'm just like, jirt why??).
so, uh, in general for reading something interesting lately that i'd actually recommend... mob psycho 100 and merchants of doubt, so far.
i haven't used the recommendations system all that much yet (mainly because i have 734 books on my tbr and i know there's more that aren't on my thestorygraph tbr :pensive:) so i'm very hesitant to use it yet. what's your favorite part of it? :eyes:
honestly i've been in a bit of a slump recently with like, creating things in general. it's the usual mood that i don't like anything i'm creating, i think i suck, etc. etc. which is really annoying, but i'm trying to get myself past it. for art, i've mainly been trying to go back to the basics and i've fallen off on writing everyday, but i'm going to try and make it very lowkey again (writing something and i'm probably going to do it for a side project that i'm drafting out, cause both are very low stakes). for side projects, there are kind of four main ones, all of which have very creative and super accurate titles: "time travel mult trans" which is about multiple time travelers who don't know any of the others exist (they also left time and went back in time at different points so it's confusing. i had to make a timeline); "coming back from the dead" which is about a necromancer bringing a kid back from the dead and the ugly fallout; "local man" which is that bit of flash fiction i did where local man was possessed by a ghost who he's since adopted. not looking forward to the newspaper format but needs must; "the ship of theseus" which is a study into a transmigrator, because i find the concept of transmigration really fascinating.
thank you for the ask and hbu? anything interesting you've read/written?
