I love how homophobic spider-man "fans" are coming for Tom Holland after his most recent episode of the crowded room because their main come back is "That's why tobey is the goat 🐐🔥" "could never be tobey 💯"
Are we talking the same tobey maguire? ⬇️

TCR EPISODE 9
Fuck- this episode was so tense and heartbreaking but so so good! Definitely the toughest episode to watch so far. Masterclass in acting from all the cast involved! Major spoilers below!
1. With minimal dialogue from Danny this episode Tom brilliantly spoke through his eyes/body language to convey Danny’s inner thoughts/emotions. I truly was heartbroken watching Danny watch Candy betray him and stay loyal to Marlin. Also his face during the final scene! I truly couldn’t handle it.
2. The actress playing the DA is eating fr. I will definitely have to check out more of her work! Christopher Abbott has also been giving a wonderful performance these past few episodes. I’m such a big fan of his work and TCR has been a great addition. They truly are the backbone of the trial and have been doing a great job raising bigger issues/questions about Danny’s overall place.
3. Annabelle, Angelo, and Jerome taking the witness stand was a great addition. You could tell that they all were sort of empathetic to the internal struggles Danny has been dealing with(whether or not he deserved it in those specific situations). Jerome-I love you fr! I’ve loved his performances from these past two episodes and am grateful that he has been able to show a more gentle/vulnerable side to Danny and his alters.
4. Candy! I appreciate that the episode established that she was at the receiving end of abuse too. “Guilt or Grief, which one can you bear” is such a banger line and it was interesting to see how Candy reacted to it. I HATE that she did that to her own son but I get why she was so afraid. She wasn’t ready to lose everything so she decided push her own son further away by lying. Truly a shame fr! I hate Marlin so so so much! Appreciate the actor giving this role his all because he’s truly made Marlin such a despicable character lol. The look of heartbreak between Candy and Danny after she took the stand will haunt me.
5. The final scene! I had such a visceral reaction to this scene it was crazy! I knew that the binder clip was going to come back in a dangerous way. The look of solemn terror but also relief after Danny harms himself was so heartbreaking I legit started to sob. I do appreciate the show not showing the action of abuse or self harm but rather the characters reactions to it. I think this is a really smart way to emphasize the emotional/psychological toll it takes. I have a lot of questions about the outcome of Danny’s action in this scene but i guess we’ll find out more next week!
6. Spoilers!- From the set pictures and locations used during the filming of episode 10 it seems that whatever the outcome of the trial is Danny hopefully (eventually) gets sent to a mental facility upstate! Looks like some time has passed and Rya goes to visit Danny. He even has his scars from where he harmed himself! I’ll put some of the set pics below! This is truly saving me from having a full freak out about this episode lol.
Hopeful that we get to have some closure for Ari, Jonny, and the other alters in some capacity in the next episode. Hopefully Candy steps up in some way in the next episode as well. I also am looking forward for Danny’s defense (including Rya) to get a fucking win in the incoming parts of the trial. This show has truly done a great job giving example to the nuanced history mental illness has had within the social/judicial/political systems at play here in the U.S. Can’t believe we’re at the finale already! Looking forward to seeing these storylines get wrapped up. Great job all around! Bravo Tom!
My episode ranking so far:

Watching The Crowded Room and going in completely blind..
Haven't seen a trailer, no idea what it's even about lol
Here are my thoughts as I move along..
After watching Ep 1, I think:
Danny and his brother where SAed as children, maybe by the stepdad.
Ariana is a sex worker?
His brother either died due to abuse or offed himself because of it.
Ep 2:
Ariana was sexually abused too, I think.
Danny might have Multiple personalities and seems to be unaware about it.
Some charracters might actually be part of his system?
Is the "ghost house" actually his mindspace?
Ep 3:
Yup, multiple personalities!
Yitzhak is definitely one of them!
Jonny probably too & if he is, so must Mike.
Ariana might be aswell, maybe she's his sexual protector & SA trauma holder.
Did he ever have a twin brother, or was he also part of the system?
I love Yitzhak, best protected ever!!
I think Rya, the psychiatrist might suspect him having DiD, but isn't sure yet & the police has no idea.
But how did eye witnesses see Ariana?!
Ep 4:
I think Jack is also part of Danny's system.
Jack seems to be a protector aswell.
I can't tell if his brother was another alter or his actual brother?
All the drawings in his (burned) sketchbook might be of alters.
Oooooo shits 'bout to go down!!
Ep 5:
Gee, straight to the intro, no little scene before that? Is that a good sign or a bad one?
I really hope his mother didn't know what her children where going through.
I love Mario, he's cool!
I feel so sorry for his mom (Candy?)  too, she just wanted the best for her baby.. :(
I think Adam was his first protector & trauma holder, not his actual brother.
Ep 6:
I hate how the police officer is talking about poor Danny. :(
I hate the psychiatrists son, he's a brat and a nuisance lol
Hell yeah Jonny, get right outa those cuffs!!
God, I love this woman.. she's an amazing doctor and I NEED her to succeed!!
Why do I kinda like his lawyer?! He's such an asshole lmao
Oh, Danny.. My poor baby.. He's so scared :(
Ep 7:
Yayy, Yitzhak is back!!
Jack, Jonny, Mike, Yitzhak and Ariana confirmed alters, yay!!
Goddam Jonny... At least try to keep it together man >:(
These "psychologists" are so insufferable.. and so is the judge..
I love Yitzhak so much.. please don't let him be gone gone AAaAaa <3
Oh god.. please help him, poor puppy boy :(
Ep 8:
GET OFF MY SVREEN YOU FUCKIN PEDOPHILE PIG PIECE OF SHIT!!
I hope Marlin rots in hell, fucking piece of shit.
I love the directive so much!!
Candy, how could you? How could she cover for that piece of shit?
Oh, I feel bad for Arianas boyfriend.. and for Ariana :(
Why should they try to "get rid of the alters"?? I know that this plays in a different time, but it's so frustrating that the alters aren't really seen as whole ass human beings by the professionals.. :(
Jerome is so sweet and kind, I cant- I want them to be friends forever AAaAaa
If that boy doesn't get the help he needs, I'm going to scream...
Ep 9:
I hate him. I hate Marlin so much.. why do I have to look at him right now?!
How can candy live with herself, protecting this pig????
I hope she fucking turns around and stands up for Danny in the end :(
Stan is such a good guy, I hope he's a great lawyer too.
I hate it.. D.I.D. is real for fucks sake.
The trial just started and  I'm already crying..
I'm starting to hate candy, she's acting like a real bitch right now, ngl..
FUCK YEAH CANDY!! GO SAVE YOUR FUCKING SON!!!
Aaand she went home.. goddamn it..
Yay Jerome is back!!
Goddamn.. she's a really good psychologist.
I swear to God Candy, if you mess up again I'm going to scream.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Danny, baby.. no :(
How dare you end the episode like that?!
Ep 10:
Jesus Christ, please don't let my baby die.
God damnit Jack..
I hate his smug fucking grin.
I hate him. I hate him. I hate him..
Oh, If Danny can come back, so could Yitzhak, right? I miss him. :(
"Adam is me" I'm fucking crying again wtf..
I'm on the edge of me seat, please don't jail this boy!!
OH THANK GOD!!!
I can't stop crying aaaaa
If Danny can forgive Candy, I guess I should too.. but I don't wanna >:(
He looks so cute, with all the paint on his shirt. <3
Don't try and make me feel sympathy for Candy.
Hell yeah, no forgiveness for Candy!!!!
I love the friendship of Danny and Rya, they have such great chemistry!
Last thoughts, after doing some research:
They handled this whole theme so respectfully and good!
Tom also did such an amazing job portraying his roles, it's amazing!!
Especially considering that this series and the movie "Split" where apparently based on the same case.. I fucking hated how DiD was portrayed in Split.. Like it's something to fear. Like it makes people violent. And as something fucking supernatural.. I fucking hated that.. But "The Crowded Room" is so honest and respectful.. It's beautiful!

episode 10 review
I absolutely loved watching this show and I'm terribly sad that it's finished. I loved that the intro is an amalgamation of Dan's paintings! And that he kept Adam.
Everyone did a tremendous job on this show, acting was phenomenal. I do feel that the ending was rushed and felt anti-climatic, also it was one of the shortest episodes. I feel like the ending could've been more satisfying and better.
Going to miss this show and Danny Sullivan.

The Crowded Room Ep 10
Wowee, that sure was a ride.
I definitely enjoyed Episode 10 more than Episode 9. I nearly quit the show in Episode 9 but I figured they would resolve some of the issues in Episode 10, and I’m glad they did.
First of all, I’m really glad that they showed that alters don’t die. It’s not really outright stated, but back in episode 7 it was implied that Jack killed Yitzak in the headspace, and then later showed Yitzak in the flooded basement. This episode, we see Adam in the flooded basement, except he looks up at Danny with a grin, showing that he is very much alive, implying that the other alters in the flooded basement are also alive.
Secondly, I do really love how they talk about trauma in this episode. Rya really does show a lot of care towards the people around her and she has some good takes, particularly when she’s talking to Stan about his PTSD and his survivor’s guilt and stuff. And we see Candy trying to apologize and reconcile with Danny, but he’s not yet ready to forgive her as she’s still making herself to be the victim and obviously trying to win Danny’s pity. It’s a complicated relationship between them to be sure.
And I really, really liked the part where Jack is on the stand, struggling to talk about who Adam is because he doesn’t have the memories of Adam. And when the spotlight dimmed for him and shone on Adam instead.... oof, that was such a good cinematic moment. Absolutely adored that.
I’m still not very pleased that the show still focuses on fusion being THE way to cure DID and focusing more on Danny’s well-being as opposed to the system as a whole. I know this is likely more due to the show being a reflection of the 1970s understanding of DID/MPD, but like.... at least give the other alters equal weight in this.
Would I recommend this show? I’d give it a maybe? I think if you specifically want this show to better understand DID and have that as a jumping off point for doing your own research and talking to those with the disorder, sure. It doesn’t show DID in a super stigmatized way like many other types of media before it and Danny’s experience resonates a lot with me in many ways. I would not recommend it as a show that talks about DID accurately though, or at the very least I’d preface that the show has some outdated information and that DID is a very widely varied experience for many people. And I definitely don’t think the show itself has terrific writing; it’s mid at best. But the acting is great, I can give it that much.

TCR ramblings I wanted to jot down for myself. Obvious stuff but I wanted it somewhere.
This is just about what the Alters are to Danny. What I have so far:
Ariana is his Trauma. I think it’s pretty evident. I was wondering why Ari and not Mike took over with Annabelle during the party, as Mike is the Rizz in his head, but once the conversation about Ari’s SA came up it made sense. Even though Danny wanted Annabelle he has a lot of trauma tied to sexual experiences so Ari would naturally step in to handle it for him.
Yitzhak is his Strength. He doesn’t like bullies, protects Danny, and also scares him a bit.
Jonny is the Problem Solver. He sells the drugs, gets the money, got him away from Angelo. His panic about the whole gun ordeal is it was a problem Jonny wasn’t able to solve. “Are you jealous?” was meant to be taken about Danny having to service Angelo, but I think it’s bc Danny was trying to solve a problem on his own without Jonny.
Mike is the Charmer. Varsity basketball player, urging him to talk to Annabelle, making dates for him, etc.
Jack is his Logic. He tells him what he needs to hear (albeit in round about ways). Logic can be manipulative though and Jack also embodies that manipulative part of him. He’s trying to convince Rya out of telling Danny about his DID.
Adam… I think revengemode is right that Danny killed Adam to try and forget his trauma and then it reformed as Ariana as things started becoming bad with Marlin again.
The Barn is where the alters he’s too traumatized to use anymore go? I think? We saw Yitzhak and Adam in there and Ariana going into there. Using them after the shooting and the house would trigger Danny into knowing about his DID. Possibly after he comes to terms with it we/he might see them again. I also think the barn is where he was SAd as a child and is the source of his trauma.
All for now! I might add to this.

I fuckin knew Jonny stealing that clip and saying "just in case" was meant to be some sort of last resort.
I've literally said that to myself when I decided to keep my SH tools years ago

Episode 10! Wow!!! What a rollercoaster of emotions this show has been. Tom really delivered (once again) this episode! His acting in the courtroom this episode really cemented how strong and monumental his performance as Danny has been. Overall I’m really happy where the story went and how a lot of it naturally concluded! Still have a lot of questions about a few things as well. Gonna rewatch tomorrow before I post my full thoughts! Great job to the cast, crew, and everyone who worked on this show! They should be beyond proud!

Well now I must know what you think about tcr!!!!! Give us the details bestie
well. I will not be nearly as eloquent as you BUT. I definitely have only watched eps 6-8 and frankly. I don’t feel like I’ve missed a damn thing, glad I saved five hours of my life tbh.
the acting is phenomenal & the cinematography is v pleasing for the central theme of the show. what pisses me the fuck off (not having watched the first, slow five hours mind you or else it would probably be pacing) is just the general treatment of mental health & women that is not unexpected in a show set in that time period. like am I surprised? no. but having a DA who definitely nonverbally showed empathy for the defendant & his condition then go and say I’m not giving him a pass bc he’s white and the justice system is inherently racist so they didn’t get a pass AND go on about how she’s going to mercilessly make this man a monster in front of a jury?? anyways that scene is what gave me the ick. idk two things can be true at one time. the system can be fucked up against people of color but the system can ALSO be fucked up against people with mental illnesses. maybe she wasn’t supposed to read empathy in that pretrial meeting and then it feels less disjointed but at the same time it thematically makes less sense for her to NOT feel empathy there imo. idk I’m probably not explaining that well but regardless that’s what irritated me outside of everyone constantly telling rya to shut up and take up less space.
another thing! what is going on with her relationship with her son??? there seemed to be a clear turning point when she learned about adam’s (& likely Danny’s) past but then……..womp womp. nothing. feels like a misfire.
oh I almost forgot, I did watch the first like five minutes aka the shooting of the first ep and you weren’t joking. the very OBVIOUS foreshadowing smacks you in the face. ignore the show’s gd title, and one of the opening scenes is danny staring at like six of his reflections????? pls. we get it bestie. you’ve got alters. that’s the twist.
will I be watching the last two eps? of course don’t be ridiculous. I’m too stubborn not to know if these people stop being asshats towards people dealing with mental illness or not 🫠
