So I think I may have cracked the code. Listening to Clara Bow w this context in mind from the 4th, 9th, and 10th 🎃 messages makes the lyrics cut even deeper and explains the purpose of the anthology.

What Taylor is essentially saying is that above all else she is proud of her humanity. “Human. Human. Human.” “Flesh and blood.” Unlike some ppl in Hollywood like greedy big suits (cough SB^2 cough Big Machine cough) she’s managed to keep her humanity intact and didn’t let these negative experiences corrupt her or turn her bitter. She was able to find peace and courage in spite of it. And she’s saying I am abt to come out of the closet and while I am hopeful I’m also a little fearful. But isn’t that an amazing thing? Because being fearful, sad, furious, insecure, hopeful—these experiences are unique to humans! “Your heart beats red and hot and furious in your chest.”

“And most importantly, they will know about the human heart.” THIS is the purpose of the anthology. This is why she released 31 (13 backwards) songs for her fans to dissect and decode. Bc she wants them to understand that she’s not a god. She’s a flawed human just like the rest of us.

I think there’s a very good chance that THIS is what her movie is going to be about. Her journey out of the closet and all the hardship that came along w it and helping other ppl to understand the human heart. And I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a memoir that was released w it—“the professor said to write what you know.” And it makes sense too why the manuscript lyrics match perfectly w the all too well short film. Bc they’re talking abt the exact same thing!! She has a relationship w a much older man, experiences heartbreak, heals, and then writes abt it in a book—the story of us AKA the manuscript.

And this is why 🎃 kept referencing the story of us. I couldn't make sense of it a few months ago but now in hindsight it all makes perfect sense. Message in a bottle was probably a red tv vault track for this reason too. Bc the message in a bottle is the manuscript. The puzzle pieces really do all fall right into place.

#FINALLY. starting this rant off with the fact that i love RA. i adore Rangers Apprentice and i have since i first read it at age 8, but holy hell does Flanagan have a lot to answer for in terms of the archery.

Flanagan was in no way an archery expert, and neither am i, but i have been shooting recurve bows since i was old enough to hold them (my first time shooting was hysterical, the bow was bigger than me) and i know a bit about the differing types of bow, arrow, fletching, etc. and how different bows are designed for different people.

my first issue is that fact that Halt, who is canonically Short As Hell, uses an english long bow. this has nothing to do with strength and everything to do with the fact that the bow is bigger than him. he MIGHT be able to bring it to 3/4 draw with his arm length. i’m 5’4 and cannot possibly shoot more than 30” (apologies for the imperial, i’m north american) arrows, and long bow arrows are usually at least half a foot longer than that.

we stan one Short King but it doesn’t matter how buff you are, shooting a longbow is basically pointless if you can’t even bring it to full draw

#I was talking to some buddies about lies of p and sekiro and how LoP’s defense as offense mentality helped get into sekiro #but then how sekiro overwrote that mentality with its own “offense is the best defense” mentality #or “hesitate and you lose” as Grandpappy isshin would say #and how the switch for the change for me was genichiro who I think is one of the best designed bosses in gaming #you CAN’T play too defensively with him because he’s happy to pepper you with arrows from a distance #and then the moment comes when you realize your sword interrupts his bow attacks sekiro truly begins as a game #lady butterfly is also a good fight but all her moves bring her to you so there’s less incentive to be as aggressive #vs genny baby who will back off and fire off his bow if you let him #this isn’t even like a video of me playing perfectly but I LOVE getting my feudal edgelord corner stunned and just bursting him down #I kinda hate the owl shinobi fight bc he hits too hard and his attacks just aren’t interesting to react to #but it’s also possible to corner stun him and just go to town on his health bar #owl father and inner father are much better fights and I actually really enjoyed inner father a lot #but the Ashina family fights are absolutely stunning achievements in game design imo #perfectly balanced to be difficult but fair and visually stunning to boot #even if there is a layer of artificial difficulty in the final battle with the flowers obscuring their swords when they’re crouched #but the animations are solid enough that there are enough other more subtle differences like how hes shifting his weight #if he’s centered he’s going to lunge but if he’s angled he’s gonna sweep #I had so much fun with LoP and sekiro 🥰🥰🥰 I crave more… #I can’t say the combat in Elden ring gorilla gripped me like these two games have but I like HAVE to play dark souls I know this #sekiro #tsuchi plays games

And we’re off, with a doodle of the chunky little crochet sylveon I finally finished making after like four years. I did like 98% of the work in a day but got stuck on how I wanted to do the eyes. Today I finally bit the bullet and made them from felt. He’s got kinda a long neck and skinny face but I put a lot of work into him including threading his ribbons with wire so they stay up, and I’d say he turned out good!

So due to some sort of incident with landscapers, we don’t have internet and possibly won’t the whole day, but my phone has cellular and I finished what I wanted to show, and also I’m too impatient to wait, so I’m just gonna post it on my phone

So I went and made a future version of Hazelnut on the same canvas as yesterday’s drawings, and I’m gonna edit that into the original post, but I’m also making a separate post about it so people know I did it

I was having difficulty with getting her eyes to look older but also still keep a similar look, but I think I got a good result

As for the streak in her hair, it’s most likely just dyed. But she has it because the rest of her adopted family has streaks in their hair, but her hair’s too light for white streaks, so she got a dark one to match the rest of her family

As you can probably guess from her look, she’s living in the Dark Cacao Kingdom, as Dark Choco was let back into the kingdom, and based on the outfit, I think she’s part of the Watchers

Also maybe I should give her a different outfit, since Dark Cacao and Dark Choco’s defaults don’t really look like the rest of the kingdom. But eh, that’s for another day

Also I was gonna give her a cape, but the sketch started to look too cluttered after putting in the bow, so I just decided against it

But anyways, so she’s eventually officially adopted by Dark Choco, which by proxy technically makes her now the princess of the Dark Cacao Kingdom, however she has no claim to the throne, not that she’s really interested in it

Also, she has upgraded from a slingshot to a bow. Dark Choco and Caramel Arrow probably taught her to use it. But she still keeps her pouch on her belt, though her slingshot’s mostly out of use now

One other thing I was thinking is that she later has a younger sibling (I’m thinking a brother), aka Dark Choco’s biological child. However this doesn’t happen until she’s at least a teenager, so she’s definitely a lot older than him. But she still acts as an older sister and is possibly teaching him how to use a slingshot himself

But yeah, that’s all I got on her for now, I hope you enjoy!
