When you think about it the memory crypts by concept alone are like a graveyard, and the cabinet beasts are like some kind of tombstones. Lifeless tissues manipulated to contain the memories and experiences of beings far gone, in ways that we are unable to fathom. Well the last time I checked graveyards didn't have giant scissor birds protecting large plant like beings with the qualia of the deceased, stuck in cabinets.
But there is still a comparison to make, like graveyards the memory crypts are a grim and dark mark on the world, a constant reminder that even the cycle is not eternal, since the ones once roamed the world found a way to depart from it, leaving stories and memories never to be experienced again, inserted into bio-engineered tissues purposed to this and this alone.
Perhaps the cabinet beasts vividly dream of it, the same life over and over again, but I highly doubt it. They are like the physical bodies of those who ascended in a poetic way, since while ascending there isn't a body left behind, but their earthly possessions are.
Maybe it was their way to store memories of specific individuals, knowing well after ascending that only their superstructures and the leftovers of their civilization will be left, a general look on their culture and accomplishments as a civilization but not enough detailed about their day to day lives.
So they left physical traces that are even not part of their own, with the memories of faceless individuals, in hope to bring their memories to rest but not entirely forgotten, placed in grey boxes scattered around, like tombstones. Buried under the shadows casted by one of their greatest achievements, where they used to live before.

do Palestinians like birds as pets? I know that y’all like cats, but do you like birds? And if so, what type of bird is commonly a pet in Palestine?
we do!! i know many people who keep birds as pets, even some family members as well. we love taking care of doves. we think they're very beautiful, and we incorporate a lot of dove symbolism in our culture. we keep other low maintenance birds like budgies or parakeets or lovebirds, yk small birds. people often have chicks and chickens, roosters, and even turkeys that you can often find on the market to buy as well. i hope this answers your question :)

Hello!
An update on the babies!
Their feathers are coming in and they are starting to be more vocal.
We've started holding them to get them used to human touch and they all passed their most important milestone: shitting on a human
One of them has a slightly malformed leg due to uneven bedding...
We brought him to the vet and now he's wearing "tape pants" to correct the position. The vet told us to put him in a cup so he stays upright
He is NOT happy about it lol.
He tries to escape often, but if everything goes well on next tuesday we can remove everything. We call him fancypants, I think we will keep him :>
Anyway, that's all for now!
Kisses
!!!
Such good little borbs! Is one of the blue ones going om nom nom on sibling in the first pic?
Glad to hear the little ones are being taught the right way to perceive humans - as chairs. What do baby birds feel like? Are they soft?
It's a tragedy that fancypants has already been imprisoned at such a young age. My best wishes for birb recovery!
Thank you for keeping me updated on these little guys! They're always the highlight of my day :)

howdy, everyone! i'm second.
(aka bee_4, secondfifth, sheepyseconds on my main, sometimes bee if you just read my url, it's a whole thing, i'm not super consistent,)
joe hills guy, technoblade main, watches way too much hermitcraft, will actually beat a vault hunters world one of these days, i have range,
i also write a lot! check out my writing (ao3 is more 'finished', fic tag has a lot of stuff i don't put on the ao3):
ao3 | a bee fic (fic tag)
you are always free to make derivative works from any of my ideas, as well as translations or podfics. please do not directly repost anything i've written to another site, and please use AO3’s related works function for any translations or podfics, but beyond that, it's fair game! feel free to tag me in it, i love to fanboy about that kinda stuff. (and i genuinely mean it: go nuts show nuts please steal my ideas i want to see it!)
original posts are normally tagged with one of the below tags (or similar if the smp in question is not listed); reblogs are untagged unless i have a comment (please don't ask me to i won't remember):
hermitcraft | empires smp | secret life smp | answered (ask tag) | stream liveblogging (liveblogging tag)
a number of other possible relevant tags, mostly to collect aus or fics i've worked on, are tagged on this post. i try to keep those current to either large/popular projects or whatever i'm currently working on.
additionally, here's the masterpost for an au i've been poking at, the smallishsona au.
my ask box is constantly full and i'm bad about answering asks, i'm sorry - it's almost certainly not you, it's me! i do like getting asks though so don't worry about sending me them. i also tend not to post/answer asks/reblog things about discourse unless i personally have a strong opinion on it, as i don't like dealing with that stuff publicly.
my queue is long so if you saw a like from sheepyseconds, don't worry about it, it'll happen eventually!
as always, hope you enjoy hanging around!

alright it's time to find smth out
please note that with labels like flexitarian especially it's not about 'oh i never eat these things'; it's a sliding label with things like vegan and vegetarian and pescatarian where you can identify however you feel comfortable. some people just eat meat etc on special occasions or when they go out or when they don't have time/spoons to cook something nutritious, and that's perfectly valid!! whatever you're able to do has an impact that's felt and there's no pressure to do it to whatever standard we have of 'perfect' in our heads <3
