A whole lot. I was so much like Butters when I was younger. I think I'm still like him in a lot of ways. I didn't have a good childhood at all. It made me into a really angry person. I hated the world because I felt like it hated me. I hurt people and didn't feel bad about it. I got involved with someone who encouraged that in me and was basically the Cartman to my Butters. I stayed with him for longer than I ever should have because it hurt more to be alone. That's why I get so defensive over people calling Butters evil and irredeemable and saying he deserves to be in a toxic relationship. It feels too personal.

I've answered For Good - it's her mother's old girlfriend Ket, who The Emperor uses as his disguise. She was the reason she could go to the library, go to university. She was a good egg indeed.

She's definitely well into double-figures but most of them are not serious at all. Most just kind of fizzle out and so she's on friendly terms with pretty much everybody. There's about four more significant partners (bearing in mind she's in her sixties when the game starts, so that's not many). Drek, her first boyfriend, who was another Deep Gnome that she grew up around who later married her sister-in-law's brother because the clan is small like that, Clane, who was one of the first musicians she studied with and her first love, a halfling who played the lute and ended up dumping her because she was progressing faster than he was and he was jealous (they got over it, but she was pretty heartbroken for a while), Almeida, a half-elf Sunite cleric who she met in Neverwinter and fell very deeply for, though it was more of a one sided muse-type relationship, and Gelrinn, another fellow bard who disappeared one day leaving a note that just said "sorry, I can't."

Future: Is there anyone your OC is looking forward to meeting or to seeing again? Who? What might that meeting or reunion look like?

She's always happy to see Volo and Rolan particularly, and invites them to Waterdeep far too often for Gale's liking as they're terrible guests. Rolan is a fusspot, and Volo keeps them up too late and always drinks too much with Glim and leaves before he has to deal with the consequences. She also keeps a close eye on Mol, and is always trying to intervene to get her on the straight and narrow just a little bit. She fails every time.

thank you all from the bottom of my heart 🥺💖 im really happy you guys like them!!!! honestly made them for myself only, hence the typical character/couple archetypes.

when i created them i just had watched shows that inspired their characters that im very sure people have noticed! to name a few; heathers - definitely on top of the list, heather chandler was the dna for valerie lol. but im a cheerleader - gay cheerleader 🙈, and a couple of other stuff that inspired their designs. i was on a spree binge watching old shows!

i dont have that much to share other than theyre in a cheer band and theyre gay!! the idea was having a mean girl flirt with a girl in her own way. jan is crushing hard, and valerie adores jan very much. im following a small plot just to make the drawings coherent, but nothing too big. i just wanna put them in gay situations and whatever else i can think of. i made a couple of short messy comics about said plot and i dont think im sharing them to you guys sorry 😔 you only get snippets and thats it

Not just because he's probably the only one who's face I could reach either. He's charming and fun to write, and not as bad as he seems at first, but he's also casually racist, homophobic, and a massive hypocrite. So I want to punch him. Right in his smarmy little face.

16. Have you ever made any major changes to any of your OCs? Which and why?

All of the Weald and Wen ones have had major overhauls, as they've been around for a very long time and only recently put into any real narrative.

Any one of them could be the answer here, but I'm going with Faerai.

Her name used to be Fera, and she was a kitsune of sorts and feral (hence "Fera", har har, I was twelve). She didn't speak either. At all. She just kind of growled and snapped and swiped and did weird angry fox things. I didn't know what to do with her, but she was in my head, so I had to try.

Looking at her now...there's nothing left of that character. Except, perhaps, the rage. It's bottle up now, but when it comes out it comes out drooling and snarling.

Hmmm, I'm just going to make this her evening routine before bed. First, she takes her hair down from the bun she wears it in and brushes it out. Maybe massages her scalp a little if it's sore. Then, she puts it in a loose braid. She takes out her earrings and puts them in the little dish by her bathroom sink. Takes off her rings and puts them in the same dish. Washes her face and puts on some moisturizer. Brushes her teeth. And then once she's in bed, she takes her hair out of the braid.

Do they have any scars or tattoos? (good way to get into literal backstory) 

YES. She has whole sleeves on both arms, which is why she wears long sleeves to work. Every day. She has flowers and vines on her left arm and the right is like...she has Medusa tattooed (iykyk) on her right shoulder and the snakes twist and twine down her arm.

Describe the shoes they’re wearing. (This is a big catch all, gets into money, taste, practicality, level of wear, level of repair, literally what kind of shoes they require to live their life.)

Black sparkly Doc Martens that are comfortably worn in and have seen a lot of places. So many photo shoots. Quite a few protests. They've been out of the country and in many states.

For 🤗: Strange as it seems i feel safe in shang's arms. I feel protected. Like nothing bad could happen to me. And it won't. Because elder gods help anyone who dare crosses the sorcerer's wife. He'd stare death glares at anyone who even tries.

For 💕: shang and me cuddle in many ways but his fave is me laying on his chest with his arm around me. And me laying on my side while he big spoons behind me. An arm lays over me,maybe occasionally brushing a strand of hair out of my face. May or may not kiss my neck

For 🎁: shang likes to give gifts. I hc this is one of his main love languages,especially at first. He will adorn me in the finest clothes he can buy or find. He may even have it custom tailored. (He's extra ok?) I'm on the curvy side so it definitely will have to be tailored. Jewelry is another gift he gives. But my favorite gift he gave was a simple tao bracelet,for meditation and anxiety relief. It was very thoughtful. (I'd actually fr like this irl it may actually help me fr)

25 OC Questions

🌟 When your OC loses all hope, who do they turn to first? What helps make them feel better? What calms them down and reassures them? Why?

Salem doesn't really have many people (or any for that matter) in his life, so a lot of the time, he just swallows it down and deals with whatever is going happening, on his own--usually in not so healthy ways. It used to be his dad, but since his passing, Salem lost the only one he was comfortable opening up to and has closed himself off since then.

However, he has his best friend now. He finally has someone that gets him and understands. He's far more open to being emotionally vulnerable around them, once he knows they have his back the way he has theirs. Most of the time, just having someone listen is enough or having someone nudge him in the right direction when he's feeling lost. Just having his BFF there with him is far more of a comfort and a help than any of his old ways.

☕ Give us one (or more if you feel like it) of your OCs deep dark secrets! Why do they keep it hidden? Spill the tea!

Wholesome: Salem comes off as a stoic, gloomy, broody type, but deep down, he really loves to have fun and laugh--when he's comfortable when someone, of course. His favorite types of movies are comedies, especially goofy ones (his favorite movie of all time is Beetlejuice). On the very, very rare occasion he invites someone over, he tends to hide all traces of anything like this. It's one of those "HIDE THE MOVIES, CAN'T LET PEOPLE KNOW I LAUGH" situations. But of course, the closer someone is to him, the more he's willing to show this side. He just has a rep to maintain, is all.

Angsty: Salem has drug stashes all over his home, very expertly hidden. The times he's had people over who were none the wiser--that they were merely inches away from one of his stashes is beyond count. No one knows this and no one will ever know this--up until his recovery arc when he has no other choice but to tell someone (his most trusted loved one, either his best friend or his partner) so they can help him get rid of them. It's a very emotionally charged moment for him, parting from something that's been his safety net for so many years.

🔪 Has your OC ever killed someone? Ever had to defend themselves against violence? How did this make them feel? Or, alternatively, has your OC ever attacked someone? Seen someone die?

Salem has defended himself plenty of times, since he often gets himself into fights or brawls (either for the thrill of it or just because he tends to run his mouth a lot when he's feeling ballsy). He has no issue inflicting violence to defend himself or to defend someone else. He considers it necessary, especially considering the people he associates with (Maelstrom). He's very desensitized to it as it is.

He has instigated these assaults a few times for various reasons, it's rarely ever without. Salem isn't the type to fly off the handle, he needs to be provoked in order for him to lash out.

As for the killing, I don't think he has. Yet. Not intentionally, that is. But there is a story arc of his, where he is very badly assaulted by two other minor OC's I created to be his rivals. It's a rivalry that started as just typical beef between musicians/rappers, that escalates to something much more personal and pure hatred.

These two were set out to break him, and they damn well nearly did. Once he recovers, Salem does set out on a mission to seek revenge. There's a few ways it goes down, depending on the story--but they all end in Salem extracting his revenge by killing them on his own or watching someone else do it.

cinnamon latte-would you ever want to dye your hair? if you have before, what color was it and why?

i think an easier question would be, what color have i not dyed my hair? lol. i haven't dyed my hair in many years, mostly because i just can't be bothered with the maintenance. i'm really self-conscious, and i've been thinking about dyeing my gray hairs, but i don't know if i ever will.

my obsession with dyeing my hair began with the need to be different from everyone. all my favorite singers did it, and when i really got into the punk community, i felt like i needed to dye my hair to be an actual punk. but a.s i got older, i just did it because i thought it was fun

my hair has been various shades of blonde, red (for a long time, it was L'Oreal Ruby Rush), black, brown, blue, pink, highlighted, green, purple, and rainbow.

strawberry milk--what's your way of showing someone you love them, platonically or romantically?

by making things for them (writing, playlists, food, or arts and crafts). i don't think i am the most talented person, but i am creative, and i love to give my friends and loved ones homemade gifts. to me, it's a symbol of my love for them. i think everyone likes to feel loved and likes to receive gifts. i struggle to express myself verbally, so non verbal acts are the easiest way for me to show someone how much they mean to me.

i also like to give hugs and reassuring touches, but only if my friend is into that.

almond milk--would you ever want to plan a road trip with friends?

YES. I wish I could do it right now. For over a decade, I have wanted to go on a road trip with all of my internet friends. i want to explore every city with them, visit all of their favorite places, and enjoy each other's company. i haven't been on a proper road trip in ages (thanks, adulthood), and i don't have a lot of money or time, but i would do anything to go on even a short road trip with my friends. road trips are so cathartic, and i think it would be a great way to get to know all of my friends and to share a piece of my soul with them.
