I'm combining my journey to fitness with raising funds and awareness this Movember in honour of my Dad. I can’t grow a Mo, but I can walk!

Dad has told me many times about how, when he was a firefighter, he and his team were never offered any mental health support, not even after traumatic calls. There were times when he really struggled and felt like he had no one to talk to. I don’t want any firefighter, or any man, to feel like that ever again. Please donate to support men's health.

My goal is to raise $500 by walking 60km in November to help raise funds for this important cause.

btw since i am actually homeless now and the holidays are over i guess i should put a donation link here. you don't have to give me any money! i know how to live for free. it would just help me be more comfortable

things i'll spend money on in priority order:

- gas for my car (this will keep me from getting towed and get me to therapy and case management appointments)

- food and water (only if i run out of food stamps, or the occasional hot food treat)

- extra blankets and clothes for the winter (it's pretty warm so i might not need this)

- laundry

i don't really like the idea of asking for money since i do in fact have plenty of experience with this situation. i've lived in my car for two and a half years total now, and i know if i'm lucky i can survive this way for a long, long time. a little extra cash will just keep me sane and for sure safe without needing to get lucky. so, if you do throw something my way i will appreciate it! it will make my life easier for sure. but, if you'd rather give your money to someone who needs it more (including yourself), i don't mind at all.

Dog neurologists are basically as expensive as human ones (maybe more? I’ve never been to the people neurologist) which means they are VERY expensive. Hey, previous anon, nobody asked for your opinion on how money should be spent. If people want to help a grieving parent of a dying loved pet, just let them do that out of kindness.

Can you imagine the audacity of someone anonymously on the internet telling YOU how to spend your money when one of your family members is suffering and slowly dying? And not only that but also to spend it funding something that the government of any nation should have and should already be doing?

Who do you think has more financial power? The government or a pet owner who realized that their beloved dog is dying and wants to make their dog as happy as they can before ultimately saying goodbye?

We woke up this morning and found our cat Papaya unable to move and showing signs of having a seizure and a high fever. We got her to the vet as soon as possible, and while she's on her way to a speedy recovery already the rough estimate we have so far is $1,300 dollars that we do not have.

Times are tough right now so please don't feel pressured, but if anyone could spare a dollar or five to help us stay afloat while we take care of her that would be greatly appreciated. so mordred is sick and we're short on testing money

ive posted a few times about mordred being sick lately, and his xray wiped out most of our money for the next two weeks. if it is lung worms or a bad virus, im afraid of it getting worse and possibly doing permanent damage in the time before our next payday since hes already been dealing with it for so long. he and his sister are my everything, i couldnt stand it if anything happened to them that we could help.
