yeah some people who are like that do give off very sincere "how fucked up is that!! Decided to post my rwby art to my old deviantart account and semi wondering if it was a mistake because one of the first comments on my Adam redesign was wondering how him and Blake could have a physical relationship 🙄.

And then after I said "oh in my rewrite they have a familial dynamic because I intend Adam's story to be different and the age gap between them weird me out. Plus not all abusive relationships are romantic"

Some guy tried to explain how actually the relationship was probably instigated by Blake and that in canon Adam was bad enough that he'd start something with a teenager.

Like yeah fine in canon yes. But in my version with this specific Adam he isn't like that. So why are you trying to justify the canon I just said I was uncomfortable with?

i think when we're talking about the phantom thieves' approach to murder we're ignoring a very real pressing matter. like yeah i assume it's partially by morality but also ann nearly kills kamoshida and no one tries to stop her, in fact going "do what you think is right" mostly. i think they don't do murder bc it goes against their direct goals too (aka making evil people confess and actually change their ways for the benefit of their victims). maybe at a later point as more people join in it becomes more of a moral thing, i assume especially so after meeting futaba. but at least the original 4 members are very much not that against murder or potential murder if the target is bad enough and murder is the best solution (it's just that usually it isn't). this is another point of why i think they have even more of a reason to sympathize with goro after finding out he's the black mask bc like. if ann didn't want kamoshida to apologize and be punished these 4 could've easily ended up like goro (furthering the parallels between them and the "if goro had a support system he might've turned out different" agenda). in this essay i will
