I was just thinking at work and thought about buck telling tommy about the will (this is gonna get there i promise lol and I think the sperm donor thing too bc this is bucktommy endgame fic and buck wants it all out there haha)

ngl im lowkey annoyed bc I had a whole convo in my head and it was so good, but couldn't write it down and forgot half of it, but I think it came back to me more or less haha

In Buck's defense, he doesn’t mean to ask this question right then. It just slips out. He's lying in the big, strong arms of his very hot, amazing boyfriend, both sweaty and still breathless. He’s blissed out and fucked out, and so content and still dizzy after a mindblowing orgasm. He doesn’t have a lot of control over his thoughts and words right now. So he surprises even himself when the question flies out of him.

“Do you want to have children?” he asks casually, absentmindedly playing with their intertwined fingers where they're splayed on his chest.

“What?” Tommy asks, surprise and even shock evident in his voice, and only then Buck realizes what he said, and he feels his eyes widen and face starts to burn, and he stares at the ceiling, but feels Tommy’s gaze on the side of his head.

“I- I- I mean, like ever, some day, down the line- not like- I mean, you know, I- I just thought we should talk about it if- if- if it’s going where I hope it’s going- because I- we’ve been together for a while and I hope that- I think I-” he starts rambling and stumbling over his words, panicking just a little bit. Fuck, they’ve been doing so good the past few months, it’s honestly his best relationship he’s been in, probably the longest, too, and now he goes and screws it up by being too much, too soon, too serious-

“Evan.” Tommy’s hand lands on his cheek, and he gently turns Buck’s head towards himself. He meets Tommy’s soft gaze, and relaxes a little instantly. Tommy doesn’t look freaked out, just surprised, but there’s a hint of a smile dancing on his lips.

No Context Temptation Tuesday

Happy Tuesday all! A massive thank you to everyone who’s tagged me in the usual tag games over the last week, unfortunately I am fully into phd thesis writing mode atm and haven’t had much time to write for fun.

Here are some ideas I’ve had percolating as I’ve written about my thermometers….

I’ve been doodling on a big pack of post it notes as I’ve been reading journal articles, and might make a little series of Post-it note tarot cards for fun - Here is Buck as the Hanged man

A Outer wilds Coma dream fic - what if Buck and Chris had almost finished the game, and the next day Buck gets struck by lightning - Cue Bucks brain making him Travel the planets and speak to the 118 with Outer Wilds as its setting as he tries to find Eddie and Chris in his own subconscious, and find exactly what he’s been looking for…..

A little no context spoilers for this:

A Los Angeles car journey in reverse is just as soul destroying as a Los Angeles car journey in forward motion.

His morning routine blurs in sections of regurgitated food, a shower’s spray flowing upwards, a hand swiping condensation back over an exposed mirror.

A text is unread, unopened, and unreceived - but he knows exact what was said.

From Christopher: Can we finish the game tonight?

His eyes close as a pillow enters his field of view.

It’s dark. Silent.

That’s it, game over; he’s done.

sooo since the holiday fic and the possessive fic are done, I'm starting the alive shannon fic, and here's a bit of the beginning - we start with the accident which she obviously will miraculously survive, and here's where we diverge from canon lol

it's gonna be angsty at the beginning, with the accident itself, and then Eddie and Shannon divorcing and figuring out co-parenting, and Buck's place in all of this lol it'll be fun, I'm excited haha

also, here is a snippet I posted before, it's a rough draft of a scene before I officially started writing haha

And for the first time ever on a scene, he freezes, just for a moment. He can’t say or do anything, just looks into Shannon’s eyes, as she’s being checked out and then transported onto a backboard. He focuses on those eyes – that he used to stare lovingly into when they were just a pair of stupid teenagers in love – and on the fact that she’s still breathing, she’s talking, she’s- he hates being a medic sometimes, because he can’t even delude himself into thinking that she’s going to be fine.

“I’m riding with her.” he hears himself say as they put her into the ambulance. He can’t leave her, can’t let her out of his sight, because if something happens, if- if she doesn’t- if she doesn’t make it, he’ll make sure someone who loves her will be by her side. Even if he’s the one who has to watch her die.

He already knows that it’s not looking good, that there aren’t a lot of chances for her to survive this, and when Chim says that if they put the tube in, it might never come back out- He’s sure he’ll lose her, and he’s barely holding it together as it is when he hears “get in there and say goodbye to your wife.” 

How can he say goodbye to the woman he still loves, to his first love, to the mother of his child? He never got a chance to say goodbye the first time she left, but at least then he knew she was still out there somewhere. Now, this… this is permanent. How can he say goodbye knowing that he'll never get to talk to her again, look into those eyes, hear her laugh with their son… that Christopher will never get to see her again?
