yeah like i get the "bury your gays" perspective on tdp (the first 3 seasons anyway, cuz janaya an all that,) but i don't really think it's deserved? they technically had no obligation to show such beautiful moments between these queer marriages. they didn't have to show passionate kisses, or love-stricken sentiments, they did and ugh it makes me so happy.

Held Together by Love

"We are, all of us, stardust. Held together by love..."

In the new teaser trailer for s6, TDP showcases many different forms of love as this voiceover is played. Familial, platonic, romantic (including queer).

Queen Aanya's conception has long since been speculated after the show runners stated that she was not from a surrogate, nor adopted. Of course, either of the Queens Annika or Neha could be trans, thus explaining Aanya's conception in a way that we in our average, non-fantastical world can comprehend. Or, it was simply some kind of magic spell that the Queens found access to due to their privilege and connections.

But I want to bring forward the idea that Aanya was made out of pure love. Stardust.

Love, in all forms, is beautiful, valuable, and strong enough. Maybe even strong enough to create new life from the seed of devotion. My aromantic heart.

You know what I've noticed?

All the archdragons so far (Avizandum, Sol Regem, Zubeia, Rex Igneous, Luna Tenebris) have fallen into one of two categories.

Angry, dangerous powerhouses (at least, most of the time):

Avizandum

Sol Regem

Rex Igneous

Compassionate, still powerful, but don't resort to violence (in the end):

Zubeia

Luna Tenebris

I'm noticing a pattern here. Sol Regem, Rex Igeous, and Avizandum (when he's not with Zubeia and/or Zym's egg) are all really tempered and quick to use their fire/lightning/whatever Rex Igneous' is breath to keep humans "in line"

Zubeia and Luna Tenebris, on the other hand, are more open to reason and show a bit more restraint when it comes to invoking their super-awesome dragon powers. I mean, Zubeia did send the Moonshadow elves to kill King Harrow and Ezran, but only once they took Avizandum and Zym from her, pushing her over the edge. There's no evidence that Katolis was attacked on the Dragon King/Queen's orders before that. Just that Avizandum demolished humans trying to cross the border, as we see with Queen Annika, Queen Neha, and Queen Sarai. And Luna Tenebris decided not to completely eliminate the humans. We don't really know the process of that yet, but we do know she came to that decision.

Zubeia and Luna Tenebris are Queens.

Avizandum, Sol Regem, and Rex Igneous are males, two of whom used to be King.
