Matt was sat in the lobby of the therapy office bouncing his leg. This wasn't his normal day for a session but he'd been called in not long after his most recent test and he was chewing at his nail beds trying to think if he had messed up at any point in his cleansing week and failed the test. Not that a house change would keep them apart, but it be a lot harder to keep the man off his back if he had to justify his coming and going at any point. It be easier for them to prove themselves right that the problem was- Nope, not even entertaining it. As he sits there in rapid thought, eyes darting around for any clues, unbenounced to him Ryan also receives a call much like the one he had maybe an hour ago. Telling him to drop eveything and report to the therapists office for a "non-crisis emergency meeting". Matt sighs and sits back in his chair with his hands over his face. jjk readers, i have a genuine question regarding shoko in chapter 220. specifically, this panel:

when shoko says: "that's something that would've never happened [...]" — what exactly is she referring to?

i thought it was simple: that she'll never fall in love with either gojo or geto. however, the whole passage spoke about loneliness/being alone.

am i reading it wrong when i think shoko's line refers back to gojo saying "i won't leave anyone alone"? especially because in the next panel she emphasises that gojo was never alone, she was there all along.

so, how i'm interpreting the panel now is something alone the lines of: "i was in love with one of you...being alone is something that i won't ever let happen."

i don't mind romantic implications; however, i don't know if that fits the general plot? i'm just confused, and it's mostly because of the various translations.

i also don't have knowledge in japanese, so i'm not able to read the untranslated panels (which might change everything).

though, if shoko stayed alongside gojo to make sure he wouldn't feel alone, it's rather sad that she feels "unseen" (for lack of better words). still, i do like to believe that these two are each other's (emotional) support systems in times of need and actually do spend moments together in their adult life (e.g.: the lightnovel).

but yeah, it would be cool if someone could share their two cents on this !!
