Ek ka harna dusre ka jeetna yehi to zindagi ka dastoor hai. Roz koi harta hai or koi jeet ta hai. But cricket, it's been said before a million times that cricket is not just a sport it's an emotion. And people who don't watch cricket are lucky actually cuz unke liye it was just like any another match, Is saal nhi to chaar saal baad try kr legi team frse. And maybe they are right is saal nahi to chaar saal baad sahi world cup jeet legi India, bharosa aur umeed puri hai hume. True ICT fans are goona be there in 2027 also supporting just like they did yesterday.

But still kal ki haar kisi ek ki ya sirf un 11 logon ki ya sirf ICT ke fans ki nahi hai balki pure desh ki thi. The way the whole team was trying to hide their tears in the ground broke everyone. And no matter how much we try to remember those amazing 10 matches but this one match will always come along like a thorn with the rose.
Sabse zayda dukh India ke harne ka bhi nhi hai balki is insaan ka trophy na utha pana hai. The way he wanted to win the world cup was clearly seen in his performance, in his interviews and mostly in his eyes. He wanted to lift the trophy so badly.

It was just one bad day 💙

2023 World Cup Final India vs Australia
I was not there in 2003. My parents were.
Today as we switched on the TV to see a stadium filled with blue, I noticed the small smile on their faces. I will never understand that feeling of loss from 2003 but I do understand 2023.
World Cup is not about those 6 hours in that 22 yard pitch with 22 men fighting over a title. It never was. It's always about those hundreds of people supporting them. From coaches, physicians to that miniscule person finishing the seams of the ball. It's about those screams, whichever team it may be. It's about the adrenaline of the crowd, the smell of sweat in the air and the glimmer of hope in their eyes. It's about the sheer happiness. For once people forget about the problems to see some boys play with a bat and a ball and escape the real world.
I don't know about australia. I haven't been there nor have seen their reaction to this World Cup final. I can only presume it's not much different from those sights in Ahmedabad. But I do know my people. It unites them and there's nothing that makes me more happy than to see everyone on the same side.
Today the Indian team will not play for a title for which they have waited 12 years. They will play for that rickshaw driver saving up his whole weeks earnings to buy a good meal on the day of the finals. For that person standing outside a retail shop because they don't have TV at home. For that associate who has taken a leave even after the HR did not grant it. For that student who has looked up from their books towards the TV which had not been switched on for months.
And I think they know that. And I think they also know that even if they lost, they will have succeeded in providing a 6 hr escape to a country of millions. And I think it's wonderful.
Go team India! We are proud of you!

What I disliked the most about this World Cup final was the crowd. There was no response, no cheers, no enthusiasm.
Team India lacked confidence yesterday right from the beginning, because they knew the pitch wasn't what they would've liked, but still they gave their best, and the least they deserved was and INDIAN crowd cheering for them.
I saw a video this morning of the crowd in Wankhede during the semi-final, poking fun at Surya when he was fielding at the boundary, asking him to bowl. It wasn't much, maybe even distracting him from his job for a moment but it made him smile. It made him realise people were confident enough in the team's abilities to joke during a tense moment in the game.
If you love cricket enough to go watch a match in a stadium, you'll know the confidence Bumrah gets when the crowd chants 'Boom Boom'. And that's what should have been done with each ball.
When you trust Siraj, Kuldeep and Shami's abilities enough, then cheer at each one of their balls. Even if they're lacking in confidence for a moment, let them know that the billion people who back them never doubted them.
The pitch wasn't the best for batting on, and yet Rohit, Virat and Rahul gave their best. It was slow, but they tried, and none of us watching the match could have done that. The crowd should have screamed even when they got a single or defended a tough ball, because they deserve to know how much we appreciate them for the joy they bring us.
Shubman, Shreyas and Jaddu weren't at their best with the bat, but they tried so hard with the fielding. Every time they dived for the ball, every time they stopped a single, they should have been cheered on.
Ishan, Shardul, Hardik, Prasidha and Ashwin didn't even play, but watching the crowd cheer on the team mates despite seeing the conditions would have made them happy, and their smiles would have made the eleven on the field believe in themselves more.
When Cummins had openly declared that he wanted to silence the crowd, then it was the responsibility of every single person in the crowd to fight his challenge. It was their job to stay until the last ball, to instill hope in our boys till the very end. Maybe it could have made our team more confident, and theirs a bit afraid. Maybe things would have been different right now.

So, India lost.
But we managed to see some of the finest performances from Rohit, Virat, Shami, Iyer, etc. this tournament. I'm proud of every member of the team today.
2027 will be our year.
Jai Hind!!!!

Random thought but i love how inclusive the F1 community is to the wags. Red bull follows Kelly, Tommy Hilfiger made Carmen an ambassador.
And it's not just about the teams, the fans are so nice and supportive too (at least most of them). They never blame drivers' failure on the wags, are always respectful.
Every once in a while a moron points fingure at Kelly for 'jumping' through drivers but there's ALWAYS someone defending her. Reminding them that Daniil cheated on her.
U don't see that in cricket, at least not in Indian cricket. Virat Kohli took a break coz his wife is having a child and people are calling him 'soft', trolling him for it. HOW DARE HE HOLD HIS WIFE'S HAND WHILE SHE PUSHES HIS CHILD OUT!!? And how could anyone forget the 2015 Cricket World Cup and Anushka Sharma being declared the 'rashtriya panuti' (national bad luck/ill omen) coz of Kohli's bad performance.
The only time I've ever seen cricket fans being nice to the wife was when Ravindra Jadeja's saree clad, pallu wearing wife touched his feet. Which, personally, is beautiful, loving and respectful. She's a brilliant woman and chose to do that. But it left me wondering... Is a woman worthy of respect worthy of not being dragged through the mud for something she'd 0 role in only if she fits your idea of the ideal woman? Dress right(they decide the right), act right(they decide the right) and I won't burn your effigies, won't call you names. Else...
I'm not saying F1 is perfect but fans there believe, this is our hero and this is his support system, his loving gf/wife.
Neither am i saying all are same but a majority of fans in the Indian cricket community believe, this is our hero and this is his distraction, his gf/wife.
