Catalyst: a multi-chapter c!Beeduo vampire au with actual kind-of plot

Ranboo looks at the stranger and inhales deeply and– yep, that’s it . The sickeningly sweet smell clings to the stranger. It blends with the dull bitterness and Ranboo begins to wonder where exactly it’s coming from. Maybe there’s an old wound hidden under the stranger’s deep-red hoodie– maybe there’s blood blending into that deep-red hoodie. Maybe they had blood on their hands and just recently washed it off.

The first 2 chapters have been published!! Third one coming next week :D

When you finish the cryptid fic do you have any other AUs or fics planned?

Or any you're kind of considering at the moment?

I'm going to write a MerMay fic that's a spiritual sequel to Deep Dreams involving Sun and Moon!

I do have a few AUs that I haven't talked about yet, but I hesitate to bring them up as I still have a few fics that are currently published that I can/might add more to, like Syzygy in Dedication, but I also don't want to jump into another big writing project so soon after CS. I'm just going to focus on the MerMay fic and see what I'm feeling after that :)

As for COC, I may or may not write something short as a kind of interlude between the last chapter and the long awaited mating chapter. It’s hard to find time to write with my two jobs, however.

Writing is a hobby and until I can get published, it will have to remain something I do off the side. However, I do take paid commissions now! One of my fics, Yearn for You, was a commission. I had a lot of fun with that one!

6. Favourite title you used

From this year, for titles that aren't just repurposed song lyrics, I would definitely say it's a title for a WIP that will see the light of day eventually: Syzygy; or, Ways to Give In — but if it's one that's actually published I would say Little Spoon to a Bag of Bones

16. What's your most common "Additional Tags" tag?

Pre-Canon, definitely — it's my favourite sandbox to play in (followed by angst lakfjalsfkjfa)

17. Your favourite character to write this year?

Imogen! She exists on a precipice; she has a lot of anxiety, anger, and repressed love, and I'm love her so so so much. The voice I've found for her is very personal.

20. Which work of yours have you reread the most?

It's not from this year, but I revisit nine terrible cups of tea (and at least one equally terrible cup of coffee) the most, probably, because it's just... really soft and cute.

From this year, I come back to Better If You Don't a lot because it's a pre-canon Imogen story that I wrote back when we all thought that Imogen was like 20 in C3 and had powers that manifested when she was a child. I have been turning the story over in my head for months thinking about how I want to write something different now that we know more about her personal timeline.
