✨Yooperlite✨ “Fluorescent Syenite” - Syenite is an intrusive igneous rock that forms when molten lava is cooled under earths surface. It’s general composition is similar to granite, however it also has a variety of sodalite that is uv reactive, which gives off an amazing orange color!👀 Oddly enough, syenite and sodalite are usually not fluorescent. However, it’s believed this specimen comes from Ontario, eventually being transported to Michigan 10,000 years ago by glaciers. You can find Yooperlite on the beaches of Lake Algonquin and Lake Superior! However, if you are lucky enough to spot some, be sparing, as once this source runs out there is no telling when more will be found⭐️🌱 shop here 🌼

i can't stop thinking about alabaster as a tragic figure, doomed to sacrifice his life to end a war that began before he was even born. a black man who is defined by his fierce intelligence, by a well of power the depth of which is only matched by the depth of his capacity to love. i can't stop thinking about his children. all those babies he was forced to have for the fulcrum so that they might be strung up and lobotomised and harvested for their power. all those babies he knew about, witnessed in their misery. how he professed a profound indifference to the world, no desire to "fix" anything but all the while learning and growing and becoming more and more powerful until the day he took the world in his hands and tore it apart. i can't stop thinking about how when we meet him he's defined by his irritablity and aloofness, his cold demeanour toward syen and then, how we watch syen fall in love - watch you/me/us fall in love - with him and him with her/you/me/us. i can't stop thinking about how he had everything taken from him, his life and his body and his sanity, and yet he fought for those children and any future children until his last breath. a black man written to be so powerful he singlehandedly ended the world really just wanting to be loved, a black man so overflowing with love he doesn't have the skills to communicate (because he has been hated for simply existing his whole life) becoming a teacher and a lover and a father and then saving the world for spite.

It's almost cruel, the emotionlessness of his voice and face. "It matters to me!" "You think you matter?" All at once he smiles. It's an ugly thing, cold as the vapor that curls off ice. "You think any of us matter beyond what we can do for them? Whether we obey or not." He jerks his head toward the body of the abused, murdered child. "You think he mattered, after what they did to him? The only reason they don't do this to all of us is because we're more versatile, more useful, if we control ourselves. But each of us is just another weapon, to them. Just a useful monster, just a bit of new blood to add to the breeding lines. Just another fucking rogga." She has never heard so much hate put into one word before.
