Part 1

Kurotsuchi Mayuri / Kenpachi Zaraki, Kenmayu, Zayuri

Short ficlet, might follow up with a pt2 later down the line...

The unconventional start of a relationship between two ultra violent monsters and their insatiable bloodlust.

"S-..Subarashii..." Mayuri gasped as blood flooded his lungs "Your strength.. truly is a marvel to behold.."

Zaraki didn't reply, his gaze fixed on the golden eyes of the man he'd just impaled.

"At a loss for words?" Mayuri smiled "You should be..." He choked back blood "The dose I administered earlier should have incapacitated you entirely..."

He relaxed slightly, letting the weight of his body hang on the sword embedded in him, causing him to let out a shaky gasp that excited Zaraki.

"But, my, my..." Mayuri hummed as he stretched his hand out, placing it on Zaraki's with a half-lidded glance. "Beast that you are..." He pulled the blade deeper into himself "You simply brute forced your way through it..."

Their faces now inches apart, Zaraki's expression was stoney and intense, unmoving as though possessed. Mayuri leaned in closer, examining every detail through half closed eyes, he could feel the brutes hot breath on him.

"Ah, paralysed at last are you.. ?" He almost sounded disappointed "You must be in exquisite agony... But I suppose even a savage like you must have your limits-- Gh-!!"

The blade twisted unexpectedly inside him, rendering him speechless.

"You talk too much." That deep growl made Kurotsuchi shiver.

Zaraki unsheathed the sword from Mayuris anatomy, letting him crumble to the floor. They were both breathing hot and heavy, battered and bloody.

This fighting had been a recurring event ever since their very first battle. Something happened during that time that neither could've anticipated. No matter how much Zaraki mutilated Mayuri, he could never truly kill him, he'd just slink away and regenerate. And no matter how many poisons Mayuri tested on Zaraki, he always found a way to confound Kurotsuchi and his scientific method.

For each it was as though they had found a new toy, one that could never bore them, and one they could never truly break.

As time passed, something in the air changed between them. In the midst of all the stabbing, biting, clawing, mauling, poisoning, mutilating... there was intimacy. It was fierce and erotic, bloody and lustful, agonising and orgasmic.

"Are you gonna regenerate or what." Zaraki grunted.

"My word, you are insatiable." The scientist lay broken on the hard ground, smiling weakly. "I haven't the time to keep playing with you, besides it's going to take a while for me to regenerate after all that." He tutted "Honestly, the pain you've put me through..."

"You feel pain?" Zaraki had always figured that he'd have had those inefficient nerves removed.

"Excruciating~" Mayuri beamed sickly. Many questions Zaraki had were answered with that one reply.

With a sigh, Kenpachi turned to make his leave.

"Oh? Leaving already..?"

"The fight's done."

"and don't you want the spoils of war?"

Kenpachi halted, he knew exactly what he meant, though he wouldn't turn to face him again.

"Such a pain..." Mayuri continued in a playful tone "I'm entirely helpless in this state... One could truly take advantage of me like this~"

"Get a hold of yourself." Zaraki snarled "I don't fuck corpses."

"Ah, just like a savage then. You prefer them kicking and screaming~"

Zaraki didn't dignify that.

Wordlessly he continued his exit, bloodlust still running high, and nowhere to put that energy, nowhere he was prepared to yet anyway.

"Another time, perhaps" Mayuri teased.

Alone, Mayuri lay in his own pooling blood, irritation began to wash over his lust like a bucket of cold water. "Honestly..." He muttered to himself "I have much work to do on those poisons... Truly laughable results..."

He too now had a lot of energy that will go to waste, and coming down from that high left his ego in tatters.

"Ungrateful savage. I don't offer myself to just anyone..." He suddenly felt the crushing embarrassment of rejection all at once, which quickly turned into burning anger.

"I will have to make a very special concoction for that brute..." He began plotting sadistic poisons and traps for their next battle, giddy at the thought of bringing Zaraki to his knees...

...

"That bastard." Zaraki muttered to himself as he returned to the barracks. "Mocking me like that. Sick freak." His mind was still on the visage of Mayuri draped on his sword, moaning indulgently.

He had to stop his mind wandering further. The things he held himself back from doing during that fight... And despite his restraint Mayuri had to go and tease him like that at the end.

"Tch..."

Next time I'll give him what he wants. His mind was still stuck on all the ways he wanted to break Mayuri, and all those shrill whines and moans he makes... I'll give him what he wants alright...

Idk if this is me wildly misinterpreting the manga, but I thought Mayuri's attitude towards Nemuri was a positive step for their characters. Like he isn't abusive to her like he was with Nemu, he isn't controlling her every little movement or denying her interests. He gave her her own surname because he recognises that Nemuri is her own person and corrects her like a parent would when she gets too loud instead of tearing her down like he would have before. Idk I thought it was sweet?

I don’t think Mayuri’s treatment of Nemuri is bad and I agree it’s positive for Nemuri. It’s been a while since I’ve talked about it but definitely, Mayuri is a calmer creature after TYBW.

But personally, after reading through Pernida vs Mayuri, it doesn’t feel like Mayuri is treating Nemuri well because he has learned the lesson that she’s a person who deserves respect. But because he’s decided to treat her as something replaceable; he woke up and realized she’s an experiment and NOT a person. His view of Nemu was that she was a special person and his greatest accomplishment. His dream. And he never treated her well.

Like, the outcome is great for Nemuri. But I think it’s giving Mayuri way more credit than he’s due that he’s suddenly treating Nemuri more mildly because he respects her and has realized it’s not okay to be abusive/is giving Nemuri autonomy from a place of personal care. Nemuri has the same kind of last name Nemu did before Mayuri was sure she would survive past childhood, for instance. Nemu’s was Nanago before he changed it. It’s still just a number. He never bothered to give Nemuri an actual surname.

I guess to say it in a condensed way, I don’t think his improved treatment of Nemuri comes from a place of positive personal growth.

This is my fan character Nimaiya Fuyuki. She is the sister of Ōetsu Nimaiya and a ghost member of the 12th Division. She has been a member of 12th ever since it was created, so she has seen all the captains it has had so far. Not much is known about her since the Head Captain sends her usually for long missions that can take centuries...and those missions are top secret ones. Despite this, she seems to know EVERYBODY and their secrets! Luckily she just likes to have fun~. Much to Mayuri's displeasure...(They have a love-hate relationship since Fuyuki just loves to piss of Mayuri yet she also loves him [secretly]. Poor Mayuri, back in the day when Urahara Kisuke was captain both he and Fuyuki just made his life living-hell...no wonder the guy has issues.)

Uekawa didn't know how to make things go faster, the scanner was almost complete, but his Taichou knew that. The excitement of a possible breach of new subjects in Seireitei. Of course, the moment the machine stopped its task - he grasped the papers printed - turning with a laugh as he bounced on his feet and took off after Mayuri-taichou's shadow.

Fingers tug the pieces to his features, mask eased into place as umbrella settles upon the shoulder. He leaps after his Taichou with a chuckled upon the results. "Taichou, you're gunna love this! It's a completely new reading, whatever it is - isn't something our scanners have seen before!" Speeding up, hop hop hopping to Mayuri's side, he offered over the sheets with a sparkle in his masks eye glass.

"Permission to join you on the first dissection!" Of course, before anyone else in their moving group could claim a spot. He was going to use his favourite-unseated clout the best he could.

Warnings: fluff, basically. Also, be aware that Uryuu is aged up and that Aizen’s part has some toxic traits. He is a walking red flag, after all.

Plot: how would they act if you were their soulmate and they were genuinely in love with you? Was it love at first sight, or were you two just friends at first?

Uryuu Ishida.

• For someone as logical and rational as him, it was impossible to believe it was love at first sight. Could something like that possibly exist? He did not trust his own feelings around you. You were a good person, he felt comfortable around you. Yet, the way you always seemed to understand him and support every decision he made was quite disturbing. It was impossible to be that connected to someone. It almost felt like a spiritual connection.

• He probably did not have any filter around you and was not afraid to show you his true colors. He was fine with not being judged as soemone too analytical and detached, for once. He liked the way you made him feel normal.

• He did not let anyone hurt you, or offend you in any way. It did not matter if it was during a fight, or in a more casual occasion. He even snapped at Ichigo out of the blue because he had accidentally spilt some coffee on your papers. You found it odd, of course, but it was sweet at some extent.

• He never failed to notice how beautiful you were. He always thought your appearence whetted his appetites, but he restrained himself from crossing the line of friendship for months. Why? He was frightened by the idea of losing you. What if you didn’t want him back? You two were definitely better off as friends. Or so he thought until something happened.

• Something happened, right. That was Ichigo trying to hit on you. He could not let that happen. Now he was absolutely sure that he could be a better boyfriend material than him, therefore he quickly made up his mind and decided to talk to you. Man on a mission: he interrupted Ichigo’s little speech and literally dragged you away from him.

• He thought it would have been easier for someone like him, so logical and precise. He was so wrong. As you two were alone and he could finally confess his feelings to you, he felt his heart sink into his chest. Oh, damn, your eyes. It was all your cute eyes’s fault. He got distracted! Naturally, he messed up his little mental plan on how to make you understand he liked you. Yet, it was cute.

• “Your eyes are so pretty. They leave me speechless” he simply blurted out, clenching his fists down his sides.

• A long silence followed that as you both blushed and you blinked at him in confusion. Uryuu panicked, of course, and the tips of his ears turned red. He knew words were not his forte at this point and he thought about kissing you instead.

• Yet, you surprised him when you said “I love you too, if that’s what you meant. Your eyes not quite bad too, by the way” you whispered, smiling softly.

• Uryuu smiled weakly and hugged you tightly. Yes, there was no doubt about it. You were definitely his soulmate. But his brain had short-circuited again and you had to clear your throat to remind him that he should have kissed you and not hugged you.

Aizen Sosuke.

• It was love at first sight. Or obsession, at first sight. He believed in that concept, but he never thought it would have ever happened to him. He was too self-centered, affected by his god complex and detached from any human emotion to feel a connection with someone. You were more than his obsession, at first. He was curious about you and how you simply seemed to break his walls and go with his flow without getting cut on his edges.

• As you two spent time together, he started to do some researches about the nature of some spiritual bonds among individuals and he found out that you two were most likely soulmates. What a shock. Aizen knew one thing for sure: if you were his soulmate, he had to have you by his side no matter what.

• ‘No matter what’ was a devious concept for him. Why? He did not care about what was the price to pay to win to you over, he would have done it. Or kidnapped you.

• As he watched you stroll around and talking with Shinji, he definitely uttered something among the lines of “Mine of no one else’s”. That night he trimmed his former Captain’s hair. Not long before that, Shinji became one of Aizen’s victims.

• As you seemed to be naturally drawn to him, though, he simply welcomed you into his life. He loved showing you a little soft side of him no one knew. You spent a lot of time sipping on tea and talking about calligraphy. You were so perfect for him. And he definitely loved it when you got too tired and fell asleep over his shoulder.

• Your natural predisposition for meddling into his business and figuring out his plans made him go crazy and he was soon forced to have a serious talk in the middle of the woods with you. You had stand by his side. If you were soulmates, you would have probably agreed in whatever wicked plans he had. Right?

• “Is this the part where you give me the choice to either follow you, or die right here? Of course I am in” you said, as he confronted you. Oh, the wolfish grin plastered over his face at that point was priceless.

• You were not as cruel as he was. You simply stack by his side and followed his orders, but he tried to keep your hands as clean as possible. After all, a beauty as yourself could not become too blood-thirsty. He did not want you to become as Gin, he was happy with having you glued by his hip.

• His confession was smooth. Right before he tricked Hinamori, he invited you to watch the fireworks together. After all, everybody did it and it would have been simply suspicious not to attend the mundane event. However, as you were sitting on the rooftop next to him, eyes twinkling for the technicolor lights exploding in the night sky, he grasped your jaw rather roughly and kissed you passionately.

• “Did I make it loud and clear?” he simply purred in your ear. Of course not. It was more than enough.

Mayuri Kurotsuchi.

• You caught the eye of this man. He probably wanted to experiment on you at first! Yet, as he studied your features better, he had to admit that you were too pretty for that and… What was that strange attraction he felt towards you? He wanted to know you, to be around you, to study you and not on you. The first thing he did after your first meeting was searching for answers and he got thunderstruck when he found them. He had a soulmate? That was absurd. It was weird thinking that you would have been able to understand him wholly and bear him at his worst.

• Ladies and gentlemen, he tried to be polite. The next day he tracked you down and apologized for his behavior. He told you he did not want to use you as a cavy anymore but that it would have been nice of you to help him understand if soulmates existed. That was his attempt to befriend you and it worked. He did not tell you he suspected you to he his soulmate at first. He did not want to scare you away.

• You two spent most of the time in his laboratory, helping him with his researches or, watching him do them, because he lost his patience over everything. But, eventually, you snapped. You tamed that maniac man by literally yelling at his face to calm down.

• He got offended at first.

• That little voice inside him told him to forgive you right away, though. How frustrating it was!

• After struggling to find a solution to a chemistry problem and you casually walked by dropping the solution, he was left speechless. He spent three alone, in the privacy of his room, to talk to himself about how could someone beat him at his own game.

• Months went by just like that, until you decided to sneak into his private room and rummage through his stuff. Finally, you found a file with your name over it and you were quite shocked to read that you were his soulmate. You planned to make your move on him, since he seemed to be too stubborn to confront you about it. However luck was not in your favor.

• He caught you with the papers in your hands and he fumed in anger.

• You were not even surprised by the argument that followed. It had become amusing at this point. But you knew how to turn the tables in your favor. As he yelled at you, you walked up to him slowly until just mere inches devided your faces.

• “How could you do that? You little—” he ranted, throwing his hands in the air as you simply captured his lips in yours with a kiss. Man, he stopped screaming and turned red from head to toe.

• “Oh. That was so much overdued, actually” he commented, rubbing his chin before kissing you again.

🔥 Curiosities:

🔥 Captain almost never leaves his laboratory or visits the human world unless the event is related to experiments. His lieutenant usually goes.

🔥 Idia's zampakuto are twin katanas, and curiously Ortho's are too. Both are related to the Ignis Fatuus.

🔥 Idia mostly uses his creations to fight. At the same time he tests them on his opponents. (Mayuri energy).

🔥 Ortho usually brings human technology and Idia "adapts" it to Soul Society: Televisions, cell phones, video game consoles, microwaves. Idia hates this, but finds video games interesting.

🔥 Experiments + Video Games: Idia never sleeps.

🔥 The captain talks excessively through messages or cell phone audio.

🔥Idia usually talks to Captain Azul, because Azul insists.

🔥 They belong to one of the Noble Families of Soul Society, along with Malleus, Kalim, Leona and Sam. They usually meet every certain time and are a very chaotic group.

🔥 Ortho walks around Soul Society all the time and visits other squads. He also looks for places that sell sweets, and then drags the captain away by force.

🔥 Among Idia achievements is changing the shape of the Zampakutos. However, it is a long, dangerous process.

🔥 Lieutenant Ortho is actually his Zampakuto, who took shape and accompanies him. Only the other Captains and Lieutenants also know, since their brother died a long time ago.

🔥 Ortho will protect Idia at any cost and against any loss, whether enemy or even another shinigami.

🔥 His brother, Ortho, was reborn into the Human World as Quincy.

Jushiro: My man is such a sweetheart and he doesn't care about your breast size. He can start to tell when you're feeling insecure about your breast size when you're staring at them in the mirror, wishing you had bigger breasts so they would fit your shirt better. He'll wrap his arms around your waist, resting his chin on your shoulder. He'll whisper about how he loves every inch of your body, while his hands are massaging your breasts.

Shunsui: He knows that you have smaller breasts, but he doesn't care, but he loves you no matter what. Although when you see the other women in the soul society with fuller breasts, it makes you insecure. During intimate times with Shunsui, you start to stray away from him and not really focus on what's going on. You don't let him touch your breasts and then it clicks for him.

He definitely brings it up during an intimate moment which kind of isn't the best time, but whatever. Shunsui will hold eye contact with you and go on a whole rant about how he doesn't care about your breast size. He makes sure to give them lots of love; kisses, touching, squeezing, etc.

Byakuya: It doesn't even notice how small your breasts are when his fingers are kneading into your flesh during intimate moments or when his lips are sucking on your sweet skin. He's such a gentleman so that kind of stuff doesn't matter to him. He doesn't love you for your body.

So when you bring up how you're insecure about your breasts, he'll sit you down, cup your face and explain how he doesn't care about that and he loves you for you, not your body.

Toshiro: this man literally does not care about the size of your breasts and in fact, I think he prefers them to be smaller, but he doesn't really care. I think because Rangiku always accidentally shoves her breasts in Toshiro's face, he likes the size of yours.

He'll comfort you his words, telling you how much he likes them and he prefers them to be small, which makes you feel a little better. Of course, he reassures you that he doesn't care about the size of them, no matter what.

Kenpachi: Legit doesn't notice your breast size. Of course he likes to see them, but he doesn't focus on them all the time. It takes a lot of courage for you to speak up about how you feel since you don't know how Kenny is going to react.

He furrows his eyebrows and literally takes off your shirt, examining the size of your breasts.

"Small, huh? I don't think so. They're perfect," Kenpachi comments with a firm tone. You're stunned by his sweet reaction, but that's probably all you'll get from him tbh.

Shinji: He honestly probably feeds into your insecurity by making some playful comments. He doesn't mean to, but Shinji likes to tease you for literally anything. He can tell when his comments are getting too much when you start to pull away from him.

He pulls you into his lap and cups your face, apologizing and rambling about how sorry he is that he made you feel like that. He promises to never make comments again. At the end, he'll pull up your shirt and cover your breasts in soft kisses.

Mayuri: Hmmmm this one is going to be challenge. He shrugs it off the first few times you tell him that you don't like how small your breasts are. He really sees how much it effects you when you're out together in public, seeing other woman with larger breasts and you cover yours.

Literally forces you to sit down with his hands on your shoulders, staring into your eyes as he explains how you shouldn't be the tiniest bit insecure. Your face is burning hot as he's literally just spilling out how much he loves you and he'll lock you up if you say something degrading about your breasts again.

Kensei: I think that he's so chill that he doesn't even notice how insecure you're starting to become. It's only when you start to push his hands away from your breasts or when you turn his face to the side when he tries to look at them.

At first, he's really confused until you explain that you hate how small your breasts are. He's in disbelief, wondering how you could ever hate a part of yourself that he loves deeply. He makes sure to show his love for your breasts, massaging them and fondling them with gentle hands and love.

Rojuro: My man is soooo goddamn sweet and understanding. He can instantly tell when you're insecure about your breasts. He'll pull you aside and have a chat with you about how you shouldn't be insecure bc he loves you no matter what.

Honestly, he'll probably pull out his guitar and play you a song. It might be a cringy, but deep down it means a lot to you.

Sajin: I mean come on now. He understands you sooo damn well because he's hated who he was forever. He was ashamed to be seen without his face covering, but you make him feel like there's no need to wear it again.

He sympathizes with you sooo deeply and he just holds you in his arms, whispering how much it doesn't matter how small your breasts are and that he likes them anyways. He won't let you go until you feel better.

Aizen almost always wakes up with a hoarse voice. You can literally feel the way it guttural vibrates when he mouths a simple “good morning” and God it drives you crazy.

It just draws you to wrap around him and he takes your signs of interest very seriously. Simply put, he’ll just use it to see you squirm in his arms

He can say anything and you'll just stare at him, delighting yourself with how hot he sounds but when a pair of dirty words creep out of his mouth, you're done

Mayuri’s morning voice is raucous. It's so much different than his usual melodic voice that every time he wakes up beside you and talks, you just stare at him

He notices your the odd expression drawn all over your face and asks what's up but when you tell him it's nothing, he'll leave it at that

But you still can't accommodate yourself to the difference in pitch. Is it that unusual or do you just like it a lot? You'll never know

Yet when he makes a small demand, you'll feel something in your tummy. A pleasant ache that makes you do his biding and longer around him so much that it'll draw his attention

There's clearly something ongoing in your brain and he'll spend some time to figure it out while accidentally giving you more fuel

But when you'll just stare into his eyes and gasp upon hearing him say “Sit still” it makes sense. He's found something to toy around you with

The way you gaze at him causes a grin to bloom all over his face as he slowly begins using his voice to his advantage. He’ll order you to do all sorts of things just because it's so delightful how you listen to every word he instructs you to do

Shinji

Shinji will wake up and say a sweet good morning to you in a gruff, but when you don't answer back he'll worry

I imagine though, that in addition to whatever Bullshit-of-the-Day Yamamoto makes his captains do, they have general standing duties. I imagine there's something similar to a bid process that goes into this. When there is new work that needs to be done, any captain that's interested in taking it on would have to provide a proposal for why their squad is suited for that task and what resources they would require to get it done. (Or sometimes Yamamoto might make everyone submit a proposal, whether anyone wants that job or not). At the end of the year, they have to provide accounting of their costs and summaries of their accomplishments. A savvy captain is good at figuring out which tasks are going to bring in cash and acclaim to their squad, which, in turn, is going to allow them to recruit better people, reward their high performers, and provide their officers with interesting and rewarding work. A proven track record is going to go a long way in winning future work, but so is knowing how to work the system. Here's where the system is pretty broken (I say, with utmost affection), because if you look at say, Squad 6, Byakuya a) knows all of the secrets of writing Proposals Central 46 Loves to Get because his grandfather was making him write these things for his allowance when he was 10 years old, b) people love to do favors for him because he's rich, and c) he can use his own money/money the clan approves as a discretionary fund for planting cherry trees and buying everyone dress uniforms, so that stuff never has to show up as a line item so his expenses always look super-clean. Other captains have their own techniques for getting cashola--no one understands what Mayuri does, so when he asks for 12 million kan to develop illuminated shadow-defeating inflatable armor (with color-changing LEDs), they're like "sure, sounds legit." Unohana just asks very politely and drops some vague hints about her very precise knowledge of anatomy. This is also the reason that Squad 10 is constantly doing all of the worst jobs-- Hitsugaya bids on everything and is extremely honest and ethical. Even Ukitake plays the game better than he does.

But you know who does not? Zaraki. Zaraki could not give two shits about this. He does not want to read the monthly RFP roundup newsletter. He does not want to write memos. He just wants to fight things. Give him something to fight. I think Squad 11 officers already get paid below standard rates because most of them did not graduate Shin'ou, which bumps them way down on the Gotei-equivalent of the GS scale. As you say, they break their own shit, constantly. And on top of that, I think Zaraki also has almost no concept of what money is worth. He's a simple guy with pretty simple desires. He lives on base, has, like, three outfits, and goes drinking sometimes. You can't even buy a really sweet truck in Soul Society. He comes from the literal worst part of the Rukon, which probably didn't even use money-- everything is luxurious to him.

I think a lot of the Squad 11 guys buy into the Zaraki lifestyle. They're also from the Rukon, they're just happy to have a sword and their weekly booze. But on the other hand, they are vastly under-compensated relative to their work. I think everyone has a roommate, whereas most seated officers in other squads get personal quarters. There are strong fighters elsewhere in the Gotei, people with experience and fighting knowledge, that would consider joining Squad 11, but they're not taking the pay cut. They can't keep seated officers. Every so often, they get an insane person (Renji, Iba) who joins for some limited period of time. It ups their vibe enormously, and then that person leaves after they've worked through whatever personal shit that led them to join Squad 11 in the first place.

So, Yumichika does what he has to do. He reads the the monthly RFP roundup newsletter, and if anything sounds like it involves a lot of violence, he uses his graphic design skills and his rock-bottom budget to put together a nice little proposal, and sends it off with Yachiru to Squad 1. Zaraki is not even really cognizant of this process, he just knows that sometimes they get good jobs that he likes. For as low as his budgets are, Yumichika still knows how to pad them out extensively, and how to file for project year extensions.

He's also the one who controls intra-squad expenditures. Yes, we would all to spend our entire budget on "swords", but unfortunately, we have to pay for the mess hall you buffoons exploded last week if you ever want to eat again. Yumichika may give off the appearance of extravagance, but he is very much the "pulls into the drivethru and orders (1) small black coffee" to the rest of Squad 11's "McDonalds! McDonalds! McDonalds!"

Also, for the record, he very much does do some straight-up embezzling. Eye feathers don't pay for themselves, you know.

Mayuri Kurotsuchi Anime Appearance Guide

Bleach

There’re a lot of Bleach episodes, so I’m almost 99% positive that I’ve missed a couple appearances. These are the mains ones I’ve found, though, from both main and side eras. This does include Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War, but all the way at the end.

This list is relating to the Hulu, US layout. It also includes Bleach spoilers since every episode I list has a description to it. If I've missed any, please comment below, and I’ll add it/fix it.

S2E24: First appearance. Seen with the other 13 captains at the captain meeting. Feels insulted by what Gin says, and then has a stare off with captain Zaraki.

S2E25: Seen with the other captains at the captain meeting when a alarm goes off because of an intruder (Ichigo). Is dismissed by head captain Yamamoto.

S2E29: Gets upset when Ikkaku says he doesn’t remember who attacked him. Goes to hit him for his “failure,” but is stopped by captain Zaraki.

S3E43: Mayuri vs Uryü. First glimpse at his abilities.

S5E100-101: Bount fight. Mayuri vs Sawatari and his Doll, Baura.

S11E173: He gets mad when his experimented hollows were released.

S14E208 - Mayuri in jail and Kisuke Urahara releases him to join his squad.

S14E209: Yells at Hiyori Sarugaki to hurry up, but then gets yelled at by her. They fight about ranks since he’s a third seat, but also vice president of the Shinigami Research and Development Institute.

S16E230-231: Is brought with the other captains, lieutenants, and some other soul reapers to an area where Muramasa is. Kinda just stands there in amazement during the battle.

S16E233-234: Experiments on himself to see if his zanpakuto is not apart of him anymore. Needs more data, so experiments on Unohana too.

S16E240: Does a experiment on lieutenant Marechiyo’s zanpakuto. Tries to figure out the situation with zanpakutos leaving their masters swords.

S17E245: Comes to fight his zanpakuto, Ashisogi Jizō. Stops captain Kanpachi from fighting his zanpakuto. Tries to “help” Ichigo with an “antidote.” Has a stare off with captain Unohana (lol).

S17E254: Only his face is shown, but he fixed the zanpakuto problem.

S18E256: Explains he figured out the brainwashing, but not how to put zanpakutos spirits back into swords permanently… Later, he’s happy to get something new to experiment on.

S18E267: Explaining how some zanpakuto’s go wild if their master die. He calls them “sword beasts.” Flashback of him doing research for Rukia’s zanpakuto and explaining how he researched about others. Lieutenant Nanau tries to bride him with sweets to do more research.

S18E263: Freaks out when he sees his lab destroyed by Lieutenant Renji’s zanpakuto’s.

S23E317: Gives insights about peoples whereabouts. Mad when he’s wrong about the world time shift problem. Gives report (after research) about precipice world problem at captain meeting. Was put in charge of problem and paired with division 11. Wasn’t happy about the outing. Found reason for problem, then the place starts to collapse.

S23E319: Shows up with the rest of the captains during the fight (Ichigo vs Kagerōza Inaba)

S23E320: The reigai version of him undermines the reigai version of Koonpachi. Then, the real him, is in Ichigo’s room with the rest of the captains to discuss the situation.

S23E321: Flashback of him being mad at a captain meeting for reigai Ichigo ruining what he was doing in the precipice world. Flashback about him explaining reigai’s powers.

S23E328: Joins the fight with the captains against Kagerōza Inaba. Stabs Kagerōza in the back when everyone thinks he’s the reigai version of him.

S23E329: Reveals he’s not his reigai double. Explains when and how he swapped spots with his reigai. Fights Kagerōza by himself at first, and then the other captains join in again.

S24E339: Watches the real and reigai Zaraki fight. Goes to fight the reigai version of Unohana. Even expresses how he would love to “dissect” (experiment) on her. When he goes to fight her though, she hits him. He ends up being badly hit, and a part of his body is cut in half.

1000 Year Blood War

S1E1: the start of the episode, he’s heading done the elevator to his lab. Sees something is taking away the existence of hollows.

S1E2: Explains the power of their enemies being so strong that it defeated also hollows. Announces the army to be Quinces.

S1E3:: At the captain meeting when they are told war is coming. Later, in a private meeting, he tells the head captain he should have killed “that man” (Yhwach) when he had the chance a 1000 years ago.

S1E4: In research lab. Is mad at the other captains for not waiting until his analysis to attack/use their bankai’s. Short parts.

S1E5: When he gets told Ichigo is coming, he doesn’t seem impressed. Short part.

S1E8: Ichigo goes to him to hear the status of his zanpakuto that he was supposed trying to fix for him. Explains that only Ichigo can “fix” his zanpakuto. Tells Ichigo he had to come with him to meet squad zero. Is seen in the group of captains, behind Ichigo, when squad zero comes. Call squad zero “disrespectful” when he sees Ichigo’s zanpakuto that was originally in his lab. He says they “broke in.”

S1E12: Comments about why Captain Shiba didn’t take down the “mystery hollow.”

S2E15: He appears out of a hidden door, glowing. He explains that he figured out their last invasion was relied on shadows, so he got rid of the shadows in his lab. He feels he’s the only captain that can win without in banki.

S2E16: he gets a phone in from Kisuke that he can restore everyone’s banki. He’s mad that he found this discovery, and hung up on him, but Kisuke then appeared behind him. He discusses with Kisuke how the quincies may not be able to take arrancar resurrection. They figure out together that arrancars holo abilities are poisonous for quincies to have.

S2E18: while analyzing who’s still a love after the battles, he doesn’t understand why everyone getting worked up after their superiors died.

S2E19: Wondering how to turn the tables and defeat the quincies.

S2E21: He explains the barrier ichigo broke through and how he did it. An opening out of the soul society has been opened.

S2E22: He comes onto the battlefield and fight the girl/boy quincie (that turns people into zombies with her/his blood). He revived the past dead arrancars has the ability to make them follow his ever whim.

S2E23: fight continues. Captain Hitsugaya is also a zombie and he finds this “troublesome.” They fight with swords… multiple times…? Keep going back in time. He tests a new drug of his on a Captain Hitsugaya while his body is paralyzed…. Perfecting his experiment he now controls overall three captain zombies, and one lieutenant. He killed zombie creator girl.

S2E24: calls Ichigo’s lift off ugly 😂.
