INTRODUCING — a covey of wanderlust !

⌕ slow cinnamon summer - a kazuha smau.

⟢ you :: left behind their idle suburban town to live in the bustling city instead. there was always something more exhilarating about city life, one that [name] desperately wanted a taste of. abandoning their previous plans of staying back home and attend a community college nearby, [name] applied on a whim to a university in the city and after being accepted, would eventually move there. and after graduation, they’d randomly invest in a bakery shop that has luckily managed to continue running to this day. of course, none of this came about to be easy. there were plenty of struggles and even now they remain anxious about the uncertainty that lies ahead. but soon along would come a gentle wisp of the wind, with a promise that tomorrow will surely come.

⟢ chiori :: a forthright seamstress who’s ultimate goal is to have her designs be modeled to the whole world. chiori’s ideals are as solid as stone, unswayed by the public’s opinion and following her intuition that speaks for her unique sense of aesthetics. her first official design would end up being for [name], creating an apparel uniform exclusive to the bakery itself, despite the fact [name] remains to be it’s only worker. but, chiori insisted, calling it neither a business collaboration nor a way of self-advertisement, but merely as favor for a dear friend. after all, the two had agreed to support each other back during their college days. when all they could do was dream of their desired futures.

⟢ gaming :: although the modern era has buried away times of old, this energetic and ambitious young fellow aspires to rekindle the wonders that traditional wushou dance carries. gaming has faced the highest of highs and lowest of lows when it comes to chasing his dreams. one of his strongest anchors during those times has been [name]. he will always recall the night in which he ran away from home, stumbling into their bakery to seek refuge from the rain. they welcomed him with a cup of warm tea and freshly baked blueberry muffins. gaming was never a fan of such. [name] would question nothing but instead listen to his troubles and console him, even though the two were complete strangers at the time. something would stir within gaming that night–something that would continue to fester inside of him with each glance they gave. now every time he stops by the bakery, he always asks for an order of blueberry muffins.

⟢ nilou :: regarded as one the most elegant of dancers of her time, nilou has dedicated the majority of her life to the graceful art of dance. her first exposure to dance was back when she was still a young child. nilou’s parents had taken her out to see a live performance of “swan lake” and seeing such a spectacle before her eyes had her in awe. her first love—ballet. by the time she reached university, nilou had branched out to several different styles of dancing and this was also the time she would become friends with gaming who then introduced her to [name] and chiori.

After the heavy toil, Takao ventured out into the forests in the hot afternoon. He felt the scorching rays stabbing his skin, thereby tanning his skin. The sweat bathed his body and drenched his gray-blue and navy blue Hakama and sash. His tired deep maroon eyes were thinned by his eyelids. He was about to faint, till his field of vision caught a group of Sakura trees.

Despite the Spring, there were groups of lush green-leaved trees seen. The Sakura seemed distinct from them.

He went and sat under one of the cherry blossom trees. His light had returned back to its normal state, and the tiredness dipped every second. He felt afresh as if he was about to work. The sudden change short-circuited Takao. He walked around to see if there was anything mysterious. The further stretch of the forest was devoid of anything but those beautiful cherry blossoms. He walked and the scene was extremely serene. There was a beautiful lake tainted with pink petals aesthetically with swans and ducks. There were rabbits roaming around the lake.

Edo never had such a beautiful site. Much to his awe, he saw a beautiful woman with auburn hair. Her Ruby-red eyes were enchanting, and the warrior could drown himself in them. Her long hair was fluttering in the air. She seemed like a goddess who descended into human form. Her red Kimono knew no limits. It was floating as if it never had an end. She was well garnished with accessories.

She turned to him after noticing his presence. Takao's heart skipped a beat after seeing her. His cheeks were stained with red hues. He walked slowly towards her, taking his time to admire her beauty. A smile bloomed on her face.

Everything seemed slow around them. They were slowly decreasing the distance between them.

Takao asked her, "My Lady, shall I know who you are?"

She didn't respond. The smile was intact.

"Can't you speak?"

Takao was clueless.

'She seems like a celestial from heaven, but why can't she speak?'

Takao found himself under the same Sakura tree before he got up to see the extent.

"Was it a dream? But why do I feel so fresh here?"

"Kinomiya?! What are you doing here? You were supposed to carry a message to my father in the dojo." A bluehead remarked, coming with a scarlet beside him.

"Yamashita-sama?" Takao stood up.

"You can sit down. You seem so exhausted."

Sarima fed him some water.

"I see you both so often. I don't see you with Goki and Jim. What's the secret?" Takao asked with a smug face.

Sarima bent down. Kane gently smiled, and said in a low tone, "We confessed to each other some time ago."

"Woah! But, what would the elders think of you both?"

"That's none of our business. All that matters to us is we love each other." Kane placed his hand on her shoulder. Sarima snuggled to him.

"I see, then get ready to elope. Or try convincing your families till then!"

"We have some time for that, Takao. Till then, we'll spend our days enjoying each other's presence."

"Well then. I'll reach your dojo. See you later, Yamashita-sama!"

"Don't call me Sama, I'm your friend."

'Ah man, Kane... I've got a beautiful woman too. Do you know? She is not an ordinary human. Because there are no differences when it comes to love, right?'

Aesthetic Studying

*note: you do not need expensive stationery to make your notes pretty. Also, practical is more important- what matters is studying in a way that's functional for you. I want to give tips that are pretty AND practical, but you need to do what works for you. Without further ado: 1. I'll say it again: fluffy pens. Fluffy pink lens and fluffy pink notebooks will always make you feel like Elle Woods, Cher Horowitz, and Sharpay Evans all at once. Other elements: colour coding with highlighters and file dividers is useful and very cute, add pictures or illustrations where you can to emphasise points, and you can absolutely add doodles in the margins... But maybe not on your exams. 2. Make studying fun to encourage you to actually do it, especially if you're stuck with a module or subject that you'd rather not work on. You could: - make yourself a fancy beverage- a hot chocolate with ALL the trimmings, or a berry tea, or whatever you make to feel cozy and comfy - Keep your desk clean and tidy, but add a few things that make you happy such as a small potted plant or a teddy that can sit and watch as you go. - dress for the occasion! Use your favourite book characters as inspiration, or just a classic pink moment. If you feel pretty, it can be motivational to get stuff done. *if you don't have a uniform/ you're in third-level education, you could try wearing a certain colour when you study certain topics as a bonus visual aid. If you do have a uniform, try the same tip with a bracelet on your dominant hand. 3. For Auditory Learners: Pink Academia study playlists are very fun. I'm sharing my playlist soon, if you're interested, but if you're not then take some other options. If you're a classical purist, I'd use Tchaikovsky's three big ballets- Nutcracker, Swan Lake, and Sleeping Beauty. If you like musicals, there's Legally Blonde, Mean Girls, Carrie, and Six for a few to get you in the Pink. For musicals, I like to pick a song or character that I can sing along to and use that as a short break... Just don't pick Veronica. 4. For Visual Learners: Colour coding is very Pink Academia. You can also make your flash cards on colour-coded card. Something I don't see recommended that often is checklists. Break your tasks into smaller steps so that you can tick them off or fill them in. This is also another opportunity to talk about pretty pink stationery. 5. For Kinaesthetic Learners: Ok, this  might just be a me thing because I've never seen it anywhere else- tell me if you do this! So, take your notes with you while you exercise at home... Or at the gym if you really want, I'm not going to stop you. Basically, you read them in sections to yourself (aloud is best) while you do something like mountain climbers or up-and-down planks, and then you recite the information again while you do, say, jumping jacks, or anything you can't really read while doing. It's kinda like a variation on the audiobooks while you work out, but what you're listening to is your own notes. It also totally feels like you're Elle on her treadmill! 6. Making your Actual Notes pretty. Analog: (aka physical notebooks) my tip is not worrying too much when you initially take down notes.  My rapidfire note taking handwriting is absolute chicken scratch. But make it pretty when you need to read from it so that it's easier. - again, I will die on the fluffy pink hill - nice headers- try coloured pens, drawing a ribbon banner around it, colour coded underlines, or adding a couple of doodles that relate to the topic - consistent bullet points. I mean, if you draw your bullet points as filled-in circles, empty circles, dashes, or asterisks, it looks more aesthetically pleasing if you pick just one, or assign different roles for different shapes (like for staggered points) -work on your handwriting- when you need to be able to read it back, or when a teacher or examiner needs to be able to be able to read it, you should try to make it legible. You can add to the pretty with consistent sizing and shape. Digital: Literally please just... Notion. The free version has more than you will ever need, and you can make it as simple or as pretty as you like. It's... Listen. It's just good.

Disclaimer: I used both what we can extrapolate is likely indigenous to the region based on descriptions of the landscape and climate as well as my own headcanons and inspirations and reference books on similar habitats as well as The Atlas of Middle Earth and The Flora of Middle Earth

I really love working on and researching these! and as always feel free to ask more, even if I’ve already done a place I’d always enjoy going into more detail of tacking a more specific kind of life there

The March of Maedhros was a realm in East Beleriand that fell between Dorthonion and the Blue Mountains and was next to Maglor's Gap. It was primarily hills and plains in a cold, possibly taiga region. The fortress of Himring was the stronghold of Maedhros on one of the more prominent hills

The Flora and fauna of the March of Maedhros and around Himring is hardy and adapted to a cold, harsh climate. 

Flora around the lake or lakes could include species of Myriophyllum, marsh thistle, hornwort, Sphagnum Moss, feather moss, bog rosemary, partridgeberry, reindeer lichen, ground elder, sword-leaf dogbane, bog sedge, spring vetch, white spruce, cloudberry, cowslip, dwarf cherry, and a variety of species of heath, iris (yellow dwarf iris, Iris relicta, etc), and fern (oblong woodsia, leathery moonwort, spinulose woodfern, etc)

Of course many of these plants would have a relatively short season as the winters are long and the cold weather is even longer. I go into a bit more about my headcanons about the climate here 

I’ve always imagined snow leopards around Himring. @houndsofvalinor-art did an absolutely gorgeous piece based on my headcanons for that! It’s the one in my blog background/header!

I imagine a location or locations similar to Lake Baikal in Siberia, which is home the world’s only completely freshwater seal as well as cnidarian species that are not found anywhere else in the world. The seals in Himring’s near frozen lake are abundant but are rarely slain. They are near inedible though their fat is highly useful for oils and their skins are occasionally used as well. 

Birds are often migratory, spending only certain months of the year in the area (though not all). Some possibilities are snowy owls, ptarmigans including rock, willow, and white tailed ptarmigans, tundra swans, snowy buntings, larkspurs, plovers, and species of goose and loons. 

Other animals include the sable, stoat, red and arctic foxes, marmots, elk and reindeer, mountain hare, mountain goats, arctic wolves, and I like to imagine smaller species of mammoths or woolly rhinos trek through the March on their search for fresh grass and vegetation.

Hello there Ballet-Anon! Once again we are back in the artistic and cultural corner on my blog. Which to be honest I feel like most of my headcanons and requests end up being these days. I am not one to complain however, these are topics I find quite interesting. Fun fact: I once saw the Bolshoi Ballet (their theatre is the one in the header) perform Swan Lake, it was spellbinding.

𝐀𝐬 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬, 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐰.

𝐀𝐫𝐨 𝐕𝐨𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐢

As I have mentioned many times before, Aro is quite fond of the theatre. So when it became known to him that his mate was a ballet dancer, he was over the moon. The king would become their biggest fan and supporter. In his eyes, Ballet was one of the most beautiful art forms humans had come up with over the centuries.

Would plan out a family outing with his brothers and Athenodora. Booking them the best box at the theatre his significant other would dance at. Both Marcus and Caius were quite amused, they had not seen Aro show genuine interest for many years. Usually his interests were fleeting, but not this time.

They would remain human for a little while longer in order to finish their career gracefully and without suspicion. Aro would make sure they had a bouquet of red roses waiting for them in their dressing room at the end of every performance.

Aro would love to dance with his S/O as often as he could. He was no ballet dancer, but he craved to feel their body move so gracefully under his hands. If permitted he would like to dive deep into their very soul, unraveling to him what thoughts ran through their mind as they created such beautiful art with their body.

𝐂𝐚𝐢𝐮𝐬 𝐕𝐨𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐢

Caius would show an extreme admiration and respect for his significant others craft. He knows very well what sort of rigorous training and discipline it takes to be a successful dancer in a cutthroat world like ballet. Anyone who held their own craft in such high regard was in Caius' good graces.

He makes sure they have a room suited for their needs when it comes to practice. An elegant mirrored hall that had stood empty for many years was deemed suitable for his mate. It would not be unusual to find the king in the studio watching his mate leap across the floor. A soft smile on his face.

It was difficult not to imagine how graceful they would become as a vampire. He knew they needed to end their career in an orderly manner. But by the gods, he could not wait to see what sort of beauty would come out at the other end of the transformation.

Arist!Caius is pretty much canon to me at this point, so alas S/O would become a new source of inspiration for Caius' art. It had been a while since the king had had a true muse to fuel his artistic talents, he felt a surge of excitement when he first sat down to begin painting. Not many weeks later a detailed painting of his S/O in a beautiful white costume mid arabesque against a black background would find itself hanging in his private office.

Marcus already found his significant other to be the most beautiful thing in existence. But when he saw them dance it was something entirely else. For a couple of minutes he felt like he was transported into another plane of existence. For this creature before him could only belong in the Elysian Fields.

Now I headcanon Marcus as quite musically inclined once he is able to move past his depression. As his new mate slowly got him back to normal he would often play the piano for them. He would gladly play a piece they could dance to, watching as they glided across the music rooms floor with unmatched grace.

Unlike Aro, Marcus would leave Volterra with only one guard as company in order to watch his mate perform. There was something exceptionally intimate about watching them like this on his own. Their eyes might meet once or twice through the performance and the king would feel alive.

Once the curtain closed he would seek out his mate and hold them tightly to him, peppering their face with gentle kisses. He would keep them to himself for a little while, their adoring fans could wait a while longer. Marcus felt the need to show exactly how much he appreciated his significant other and their talents.
